There was so much to look forward to now. Not that there had not been in the first place but now that Avery was in the picture, there was just a lot more things that were going to take place. There were so many firsts that would involve the young girl and she found herself looking forward to every minute of it. It was impossible to her, the idea of not embracing this entirely now as the thoughts so easily consumed her. While they had not planned this in the start and she had been quite skeptical of how things were going to turn out, they had made it this far so there was no reason that it was not going to continue in this fashion. He was still the same man that she was in love with but now they also had a daughter to raise as their own, something she believed that they were both very capable of doing correctly. There was no doubt in her mind that the baby was going to be raised in a loving household, it was not like they were just going to randomly start hating each other and the entire relationship was going to go down in flames, right? The thought did not even cross her mind once, she was extremely confident in the two of them together now and she would not start to doubt that. Her mother, however had thought it was doomed from the start but never would she support her mother's reasoning. She knew nothing about Quinn, end of story. The gang was part of his past and it was not something that she even thought about really now. That chapter of his life was done and over with, they had moved on some time ago now. He was such a strong and caring person that she knew that this was all going to come natural to him without a problem and that was already showing by the way he was with Avery. There was no better man that she could think of taking up that role. Already she was beaming with the thoughts of their small family and how far things had already come and how they were just going to continue to progress to in a positive way. Falling for Quinn was never something she had ever come close to thinking about really especially in the times that they had repeatedly run into one another and he had been so intent on pushing her away.Though there had been something that had drawn them together and now when she reflected back on it all, she could not help herself but to smile. Without him in her life right now, there was no telling how the last while would have turned out for her but as it was she would not have it any other way. Things were perfect to her, something she never wanted to be changed no matter what. Catching sight of her boyfriend walking into the kitchen, she eyed him suspiciously as it appeared that he was up to something when he finally did come over and she was no longer standing on the ground. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she rolled her eyes lightly while he scolded her about needing to sleep. I can't rest forever. She muttered, resting her head against his chest, a small smile residing on features as she looked up at him. As flattering as that sounds, I am doing quite well this morning. Hearing his next statement, she sighed dramatically though quickly looked down the hall as the young child started crying and as soon as her feet were on the floor, she was walking right behind him even if it did not take much to quiet the girl, she was still adjusting to all of this now. She tended to be rather jumpy and worrisome about the girl already as she did not know exactly what to expect so sometimes she was probably overdoing it when rushing to check on her but still she never wanted for there to be something wrong or for something to happen because she had not been as alert as she should have been. Once the small girl had calmed back down, she returned to the kitchen in order to set the dining table for the two of them and then place the stack of pancakes in the middle. I really love this. She stated while taking a seat across from him and then speaking up to state what she was referring to. We didn't do a lot of sit down meals in my family before but now it just is really special to me. Looking down and averting her gaze, she felt her face get hot after making this mention as it was definitely a silly thought to just randomly bring up in the first place. It was not like it was that much of a big deal but it was just something she had come to enjoy after the last little while and she looked forward to when Avery would be sitting at the table with them as well not long from now. They always said it went by so fast and in her mind it really did though she was determined to treasure every moment of it all without a doubt. There was nothing that she wanted to miss or regret and already she felt that things were off to a great start even if it had not been that long in reality.

He had been hesitant at first wondering if he was going to be a good enough father to the young girl but really as soon as that hesitation passed it only left room for the excitement that was currently coursing through him, there were going to be so many memories made in the next little while. Her first words, her first steps and all those things were things that he was going to get to share with her mother. What would he have done if she had not agreed to stay with him and give him a chance to be a father? What would he have done if she remained running scared he did not want to think about that because it was not something that he ever needed to worry about again but there was a certain aspect that caused him to grin. He really did not care what her mother had to say about the two of them knowing that it would be the same with his own mother but they did not know the situation and they had not seen the way that Avery made him feel, the fact that the girl had him wrapped around her little finger already and it had only been the better part of two days. He would do anything for either of them and there was nothing that was going to change that they were his family and while their relationship had made a large leap of faith when she announced to him that she was pregnant he knew in the back of his mind that if they had just continued on in the same way that they had been going that they would have eventually wound up in the same place as they were right now and the only way that he could describe his feelings for her was being head over heels in love with her. He would not change anything for the world and he was reminded of that by looking into the eyes of their daughter, already a vibrant and happy baby. He had seen so many horror stories of children being so terribly difficult but really he thought that it was just brought on by the stress and really he did not feel like there was too much stress between all of them. The were learning to deal with it and he did not feel like he was in over his head, sure he had a lot to learn but at the same time there were so many people that raised children all around the world and they turned out just fine so therefore he must be able to do it. If he turned out in the way that he had with the parents that he had he was sure that he would be a better influence on their daughter than his parents ever had been for him. Sure he had been part of the gang but that was so far in the past for him because so much had happened for him since then and while he could never gaurentee that they were perfectly safe he was a protector and he was finding that he was very protective over both girls in his life so therefore there would be nothing stopping him from making sure that they were out of harms way at all times. He knew that you were not supposed to go in and comfort the child everytime that they were crying but really Avery did not seem to be doing it too often, in the first few days it was going to be a settling in period and already she was a lot quieter than that he had prepared himself for. Eyes landed on the woman in the kitchen and he could feel his chest constrict in fluttery feelings as he stepped towards her lifting her lightly off the ground and telling her that she should be resting only to have her state that she could not rest forever. A kiss was placed on her cheek with a small smile. Ok, I will let it slide this time. He told her with a small chuckle. He knew that it was only natural for them to be a little nervous around the small child and to probably be checking on her a little too often for the first little while but that was just human nature and there was nothing wrong with it at all. She told him that she was doing quite well that morning and when her feet were placed down on the floor the two of them both headed in the direction of the nursery that had been set up in the house before then moving back towards the kitchen and where she had prepared breakfast for the two of them. He looked up from the table when he had sat down and she told him that she really loved this and he was not too sure what she was talking about until she stated that she had not gotten the chance to sit down to too many meals when she had been growing up. My family either, so I really think we should make a point of it with Avery. He uttered gently and reached across the table to take her hand. He was the same way; he did not want to miss a moment with the girl and that had been why he had been so sure about setting his office up at home, he was not just going to be one of those guys that went off to work and only got to see his daughter when he got home late, he was going to make sure that Avery knew that he was there for her every step of the way, even if he was working it was going to only be a couple steps away from where they were living. Already he had plans on the way that he was going to ask her to marry him but right now he knew that he needed to just allow them to settle a litlte more into their new life before he ever did it. If I wanted to make a trip to Poland, unfortunately to see my father would you come with me? He asked gently. I just feel like I need closure with him. He uttered hating that he was feeling vulnerable right now, Quinn never felt vulnerable.

They both had similar goals for what they were looking for with Avery and really what more could they ask for? They both wanted to be as involved with her life as possible and that meant a lot and said a lot about them. While this had not originally been something they had planned, they were both working towards it now and wanting to make everything turn out perfectly in the end, to provide the childhood that they had lacked for the little girl. What if he had allowed her to run out that night? Where would she be? She could picture herself in a mess, simply because she would let it throw her off and get to her just by worrying about what could happen but somehow, for her it was just a mess to think about. It was not hard to imagine really, it just definitely would have not been a good situation by any standards, especially when compared to what she had now. She needed Quinn to raise their daughter and she realized it quite frankly.Well she probably could have been a single mother but it was not something she wanted, she did not want her daughter to be raised like that and she knew that she would have not been able to provide the girl with the life she wanted for her. She wanted Avery to have a father there for her, she thought it was important to grow up and have one in your life as she had had a large influence from hers until he was gone. Avery was never going to face that, or at least that was what she hoped. All she wanted was for the girl to be able to look back on how she had been raised and to be proud of it and to be happy with her parents, they could manage that, couldn't they? After all they had both learned from their own family experiences so that meant they would be able to improve that, wouldn't they? She actually did have faith in these ideas, she had told herself on several occasions that they were going to be great parents, she did not need to talk herself out of that. From what she had heard, she expected the first nights to be living hell yet the newborn had barely woken up throughout the night which was a little shocking to the new mother who was expecting horrific experiences. She was grateful that Avery was this way though. A bright smile was plastered on her features as he joked about letting it slide and she gently poked his side playfully. They both were stopped in their tracks as soon as the baby began to cry and she breathed a small sigh of relief when it did not take much to quiet her down again. At her statement, it was nice to hear him agree and she smiled lightly, nodding when he brought up that they should practice it with their daughter as well. As her hand was caught by his across the table, she raised her gaze to rest on his features and her attention was focused completely on him. When he did speak up and mentioned Poland, she could not help the way she immediately tensed and instantly felt ashamed of this since he would surely notice this. She had met his mother and sister before and she had also seen how they had caused him to react before. That was the part that worried her a little. But his father? What would that provoke from him? She had no idea and well she knew a little about his father and the fact that he was in jail but this all made her rather nervous. He was the reason that Quinn had been involved with the gang in the first place, the same way he could have been killed. She could not admittedly say that she thought highly of his father at this point as that might be something she would hold against the man. Putting someone in that sort of a position was a grudge worth holding from her viewpoint but then again she had to think about what this meant to her boyfriend, she could not be so judgmental for him. There was something that made her snap back though and realize just what this meant. There was something off about Quinn when he asked her to come with him, explaining that he needed closure and that something she quickly picked up on as she had been that same way many times before. I understand that. She needed to support him as he had done for her when she needed it. Regaining her composure, she nodded. Yes, I would go to Poland with you. Though there was one little problem with this and that needed to be addressed although she was sure he already knew this as well. But what about Avery? She asked, not keen on the idea of the baby flying on an airplane anytime soon. She did not want to sound like she was making excuses for not being able to go but this was a serious question, she did not know when he was planning on going or any of the details of it anyway. On the bright side, she did not have classes holding her back currently since those were not supposed to start up for a few months. If he wanted to, he would clarify for her, she was certain so therefore refrained from asking as any questions as could come to her mind. Knowing Quinn, she was sure he had this all planned out in a rather organized manner since that was quite usual for him. Like normal, she needed to relax a little and just wait to hear the prognosis.

It was amazing how much things really did change in such a short amount of time but there was no way that he would have it any other way, he might have been looking to expand his career and get going on things like that before ever considering settling down with a child but now that there was a woman that he loved and a child that was quickly wrapping him around her little finger there was no place that he would rather be and they both needed to know that. For so long he had just worried about himself and keeping himself safe and alive but now that his focus was no longer as much on himself as it was with the two girls that he loved he was starting to realize that this was the way that it had always been meant to be. Quinn did not tend to live a life that went by the books and he never would be that type so the unexpected was meant to happen and it was in his DNA and he was meant to be as happy as he was right now. Thinking of the young girl that was sleeping in the room that they had decorated for her caused him to grin like a fool knowing that she was going to grow up with two loving parents and without the harshness that he had learnt at a young age. Everything that she needed was going to be provided and a steady household was the most important and that was what they were able to offer for her. In whatever she wanted to do with her life as long as it was not following in her fathers footsteps he was going to be there for every step of the way and as supportive as he could manage. He wanted the best for her and he wanted to be able to give her everything. He knew that it had been the right decision from the start when he refused to let her go when she announced that she was pregnant and while it had been scary with neither of them knowing what to do they really had figured it out and they were past the hardest part. They were past the skeptisism and wondering if they were going to be alright parents, they were past the worrying about their child and being able to see her in the flesh. When he woke up she was already awake and the two joked around together and she poked his side and he jumped away from it with a cringe, he did not want to admit it but he tended to be very ticklish. Family dinners were one thing that seemed to be falling out of fad since a lot of families were too busy to get the chance to sit down and eat a meal with eachother but with Avery at least for the first little while he wanted to make a point of it because that way there would be a time for them all to relax and a time for them to all get caught up on the days events and maybe it would be something that she remembered when she was alot older. He wanted to do all this right and he wanted to be as close to his daughter as she would allow and already knew that he was going to be the type of father that took it really hard when she turned into a teenager and she wanted nothing more to do with him for the phase that he had heard that they went through. He noticed that she tensed when he mentioned Poland and quite frankly that was all for good reasons he did not have much to tell that was good about the country and he would not even consider going back there if his father was not there and even that had not been enough to drag him back all those years but now that he had a daughter to think about he did think that his father at least deserved to know and he should talk to him since he knew about the mans failing health. He needed to have closure with him while he was still around. He knew that there was no way that he could ever forgive the man for what had happened with him and the debts that Quinn was left to settle in his name but he at least wanted some answers and he wanted to be able to talk to him about it. Most of all though he wanted to be able to give away the hostility that he had been carrying for so long and move on with his life. He wanted to be able to just enjoy the woman that he was with and their daughter without the man even ever crossing his mind and he knew that if there was a way that he could erase all the memories of the man that was supposed to be there to protect him when he needed it that there was no doubt about it that he would have long since done it to be able to move on because even the good memories that he had of when he was younger were haunted by the gang and the events that he knew was tied to it all. She told him that she understood that he needed closure and then asked about Avery. Ideally I would like her to be with us, which means waiting until it is safe to fly with her, no rush its not like hes going anywhere, I just do not think that I could trust someone else with our daughter while we were away. He commented and then moved forward to wrap his arms around her. He then stepped away from the woman to move into the nursery and lightly picking up the baby and carrying her back towards the kitchen kissing the little girl lightly on the cheek.
