From the moment that he had talked to her on the phone he knew that there was something wrong and that he needed to get there immediately to make sure that nothing was putting her in danger and the moment that he saw the firetrucks and the smoke rising up from the house he could feel his stomach sink to the soles of his feet and he could not slam the truck into park fast enough and move to her side. He was so relieved to see that she seemed to be fine and so was her dog but she looked shaken up and really he did not blame her, lately there seemed to be a steady stream of things happening that put them both to the test and he was not too sure what it was about them and having to do with fires but it was something that made him uneasy at the best of times and they had just gotten over the horrors of getting the call from the stable manager on their first date to come and rescue their horses and now her house was looking like it was burning to the ground and the first thing that came to mind was the people that had stolen the horse from him and that made him feel very guilty and the protective instinct in him flared up. He was not going to be allowing her out of his sight for the next little while and he hoped that this would be something that would not bother her too much. As he moved to her his arms were wrapped around her instantly and he held her close to him, a comforting gesture as he was sure that she was needing every bit of protection right now and he did not blame her, none of this seemed fair. When he asked her what happened her words were mumbled against his chest and he nodded when she stated that she had been cooking dinner and then all of a sudden there was smoke everywhere and the dog was barking but by the way that the fire looked and where it was the hottest it seemed like it would have started somewhere other than the kitchen but he was no expert and that would be left to all the firefighters that were trying their best to put it out right now. I want you to come stay with me. He told her gently. I don't think that this fire was an accident at all. He murmered gently so that she would be the only one to hear the words. And I feel helpless when I am not around to be able to protect you. He told her and placed a gentle kiss to the side of her head where it was rested against his chest. As they walked to the truck together he reached down to lace his fingers with hers and walk with her along with the dog that was seeming to be following without too much of a thought, after all they both had gone through a lot in the last little while so therefore there was no use in protesting even though the dog did not know him all too well. He nodded when she stated that when they had gone to get Percy that there had been an Impala but it took him a moment to connect the dots before she stated that the same car had followed her home and his shoulders went rigid and he stopped in his tracks. There was a rage that crossed his face and darkened usually light hearted eyes. Stealing my horse was one thing but then trying to hurt my girlfriend is a whole new level.... He stated darkly. I am so sorry that you got dragged into this, it is not fair to you. He told her gently. He sat quietly in the drivers side of the truck for a moment with his fists clenched on the steering wheel and he had long since decided that he was going to have to do something about this whether the police were going to be involved or not but he knew that for the moment he was just thinking a little out of anger and it was better for him to just drive the two of them back to the barn that he knew so well for the time being and try to calm himself down. You need to tell the police this. He told her gently. There is no way that you started that fire, it did not even look like it started in the same area of where your kitchen is... He told her as they drove back towards the barn suite. He was starting to feel a little better though he was still rigid and he opened the door for her as they arrived and immediately reached for her hand. I don't know what I would do if they had managed to hurt you, I care so much about you. He stated softly and he knew that the two of them really did not talk about feelings too often but they were starting to really hit him in the last little while, she was his number one priority. I am falling in love with you, Kambree. He told her with a serious expression in blue eyes as he glanced upwards at her.

Enzo was immediately the first to come to her mind in that moment. She needed someone and there was one person that came to her thoughts first and that was who it was a reflex to call. Her family all lived in Nevada so right now they would not be able to be there for her the way she needed really. There was no question that she wanted and needed Enzo there, as soon as possible.Situations like these were the ones that she could not ever prepare herself for, the times where she broke down and could not help it. She could not just brush this off and act as though nothing was happening right now, it was horrible. Before she had tried to be calm about the barn fire and the other incidents but this was too much for her to grasp right then in a feeling of utter helplessness, something she never could adapt well to. When Enzo showed up and picked her up, she curled against him, trying to compose herself in front of him but finding it difficult. This was never something she could have come close to expecting to happen to her, she knew freak incidents happened all the time but no one was ever prepared for it to happen to them. It was a freak incident she had convinced herself, something to do with wiring or anything like that, not purposeful nor was it her fault as people were surely going to write it off as immediately. When he told her that he wanted her to come stay with him, all she could do was nod right then even though she wanted to say that it was not necessary and that she could find somewhere else but right then that was the only place she wanted to be. She was always so independent but here and now she was a mess and wanted nothing more than for him to be right there with her until she settled down. Eyes widened as she looked up at him alarmed when he stated that he did not believe the fire to be an accident. She wanted to believe it was an accident, that it was not on purpose or something like that. She did not want to think that someone had wanted to harm her for some reason. Lids closed lightly as he kissed her, looking back up when he stated that he felt helpless while not being able to protect her. Usually there was nothing that she needed protection from but now she was not even sure if that was a safe assumption or not. Walking closely to him on the way to his truck, she was quiet and glad to see that her dog was following along without an issue. Again thinking over who this could have been since it cold not have been an accident they both decided, she looked at him after explaining about having recognized the car following her from work. Seeing the way this effected him worried her since she did not want him to step in and get hurt. Enzo, we'll let the police take care of it. She murmured, noticing the way he was being now and not liking it since all that came to mind was him trying to do something about it and then for things to go horribly wrong. You didn't drag me into it, it just happened and there was nothing we could have really done to stop it... She stated quietly, looking over at him.Unhappy with the way he was acting, she gently reached out to touch his arm. As he turned to tell her that this all needed to get back to the police, she nodded in understanding. They needed to be brought into this, there was no doubt about that however she had her own doubts on how it was to be taken care of seeing as they were currently without proof but there would be some sort of way to see all of this through, she hoped. Stepping with him inside the suite once they were there, somber gaze rested on his, coping with the shock much better now but still relatively quiet in general. Having one hand held in his, the other reached up gently to rest on his cheek as she met his eyes and listened to his words. I'm not hurt though. She reassured him, kissing his cheek gently while hearing the second part. I care about you a lot. She uttered gently, dropping her hand reluctantly and continuing to meet his gaze. Hearing the next words that came from him, she was still though her heart sped up as she thought back on the words to think that she had heard them right. Her feelings for him had done nothing but grow over the time they were together and he was always the first one to come to her mind, especially in chaotic situations like this even if they were few generally.Through their time together they really had not brought up feelings too much until now and hearing him say that only reconfirmed the emotions that she thought she knew. She was not used to feeling the way she did for him and had known it was special for some time. I love you Enzo. She uttered, not looking away as she knew the words were true. You were the first person that came to mind in the middle of that. I wanted you there. I needed you there... Stepping closer to him, she wrapped her arms tightly around him. Needing someone was not something she was used to but she had known that she had needed him there and he had come in a matter of minutes and was still here, all of which meant so much to her.

He never thought that he would be the type of person that wanted to be able to rely on someone and that would want to know that there was someone that was waiting for him and relying on him in change but ever since he had been with Kambree he was finding that the thought of being there for her when she needed it and in turn her being there for him when he needed it was even more appealing than facing all his problems alone like he had been for the majority of his life. He knew that he had the ability to go through it all alone but there was a certain part of him that did not want to do that any more he wanted the girl by his side and she was more and more addicting everytime they were around one another. They had gone through so much in the short time that they had been together and yet none of that even seemed to take away from the fact that they were still linked and their relationship was strong. She was important to him and he was finding that his mind was on her a lot more than he even wished, back when he had been in Germany he had always told himself after his first relationship went south that he would not allow another girl to have the same affect over him where she rendered him powerless and yet he could not help it he knew that he would do anything for Kambree and while he had tried his best to remain a casual boyfriend he was finding that he wanted more to do with her and the time that they spent together was addicting. He wanted it to become more serious and he wanted to be around her more and the common interests that they shared were so important to the both of them and that was something that made it even easier to fall for her and he knew that he had been falling for her for the last little while and it was just something that he was not going to express until eh was sure that he was not going to get turned down. The thought of her being in harms way though when he arrived and saw the fire and the feeling that struck his entire body into a sense of panick was enough to convince him that she needed to know just how strong his feelings were though just in case he was not able to express them, she needed to know and there needed to be no doubt in her mind. He was not too sure why he was feeling so emotional and like at any moment he was about to break down but he did figure that it was something to do with the fear of the situation and knowing that she could have been in that house when it was burning to the ground and that there was someone that was out there and after her. He needed to be able to protect her since this was nothing to do with her and it was to do with him and that was enough to make him feel sick and something that made him feel like he had dragged her into this. Both of them wanted to believe that the fire was an accident but there were too many signs that pointed to otherwise and she was not going to be fooled by it and it was better for them to just treat it like it was not an accident and be prepared for the worst rather than just assuming that this was going to be the only attack. He took a deep breath when she stated that they would allow the police to take care of it and he knew that was the better idea since he was not going to be able to protect her if he was in prison for acting like a fool as well. He nodded though his mind was still reeling and he was still tense. He felt a small sigh release when she reached over to touch his arm and he could feel the tension of the situation slowly starting to dissipate but only because she was there and he shook his head when she stated that there was nothing that he could have done to stop it and that he had not dragged her into the mess. I did drag you into it.. You never would have dealt with those guys if you did not know me and it would have been just a regular call to a barn. He knew that he was not going to be able to convince her though and therefore he allowed the subject to drop as they reached the barn and he stepped out of the truck to open the door for her and walk with her in the direction of the suite and opened the door for the dog as well to be able to follow them. He knew that Paul was not going to care that the dog was there since he had asked Enzo when he arrived if he had a dog and stated that he wished that he had a dog of his own but that it would not be fair with how much travelling that he did which was understandable. When he pushed the door open and stated that he was falling in love with her his eyes met hers for a moment and he could feel his heart pounding in his chest wondering how she was going to respond and when she told him that she loved him he could not hide the beaming grin. I love you too, Kambree. He was planning on convincing her to live with him permanently but right now they just needed to get through the stress of the fire and his mind was a little too jumbled to think of that right now as he leaned forward to meet her lips, the kiss no longer contained the hesitant attitude but expressed the need that he felt to having her around as arms were wrapped around her waist holding her close to him.

Kambree had never been the type to become reliant on anyone else either. She had always been so driven and self-reliant that it was not like she ever needed anyone else around to be there for her to fall back on.Now when she needed someone in an instance, there was always one person that came to mind, Enzo. She was not a needy person but there were those times that when things fell to pieces, she needed someone to be there for her. After the different disasters they had gone through over the time they had been together, it was hard for her to not think of turning to Enzo as he never proved to let her down and was always so level headed in sticky situations that it was like an immediate pacifier in just having him right there. He had yet to prove to let her down once but she never thought that time would ever come as long as far as she was concerned. Being around Enzo was only natural to her now but she wanted it to be a more common occurrence but at the same time did not want to intrude his space so therefore she tried to keep some time away from one another in her schedule as well and work did end up doing that a lot for her since it was getting to be a busy time of the year for her and a lot of the local farms were calling her out for foaling season as well as for those types of horses that liked to start out spring first thing by getting themselves hurt as well. She was lucky though that there was a set schedule between her and two other vets through the clinic and on calls so they were then able to get something worked out so they could get days off or if they needed to step in for the other their schedules tended to be interchangeable when necessary. Now with her house, she would have to make a call very early in the morning to try and see if maybe she could work out something for the following afternoon as she did not foresee herself as being able to step back into work the following day, she needed to set aside one day at least to set things back into motion though she was not going to be the type to mooch off the situation. Right now she was rather shaken and still nervous with the idea that it had been done on purpose, with her being in the house and making it clear that these people did not care if she got hurt, that they wanted her to get hurt. She did not want to think about that but as soon as he had brought it up in the first place, she knew that it was highly likely as it did not make sense that it had been something having to deal with her or some fluke. With these thoughts she was a mess on the inside and wanted to do nothing more than bury her head against Enzo's chest but then it was not an option while he was driving back towards the barn. She said nothing when he again tried to point out that he had brought her into this but she did not believe it even then. She had wanted to help him get the horse and it was not like the horse being stolen was his fault either. Neither of them were to blame, no matter what the other might say and it was just an inevitable situation that had happened. When he had made the comment, she had frowned just at the mention of not knowing him as she did not like that idea in the least bit as Enzo did really mean a lot to her.Rusty ran inside ahead of them without hesitating to explore the new place before lying down on the carpet somewhere. The words that came from her lips were not retained as he uttered that he was falling for her but she knew exactly how she felt about him and did not want it to be kept quiet any more. As the space between them dissipated, she slid her arms lightly around his neck as lips were met by his, the emotions that were expressed by the kiss were far different than usual for them but she needed him right then more than ever and was not going to come close to breaking away from him as she never felt the same safety that she did while close to him like that with his arms around her. This was something so special to her, not comparable to anything she had experienced before as her relationships had been far and few between since she tended to pay more attention to horses in high school over boys though now it was not a competition as this was nothing close to what she had experienced in high school. No one had managed to make her get the feelings that Enzo did and it was a wonder to her but one that she adored very much, the strong feelings between them being something she had come to recognize as a staple for them. Their relationship had done nothing but improve over the time they were together and she loved every minute of it. Having him there when she needed him in times like now was something she knew she could always rely on. The stresses and worries about her house were now subsiding as her mind was lost elsewhere.

There was a vast difference between being needy and being able to rely on someone and he knew that she was not the type to ever be considered needy he was not attracted to girls that were like that and she was on the other end of the spectrum. The reason that he liked her so much was because she did not need him and yet that did not stop her from wanting to be with him, the more he looked at it now he knew that he was slowly needing her. She was a constant in his life and if he did not get the chance to see her in a day it just felt wrong. He knew that right now she needed someone to be there for him no matter if she was going to admit it or not, a house burning down around you was something that was terrifying especially when the two of them knew that it was not an accident and there was no way that she would have just been careless. He would do anything right now in order to ease the worries but at the back of his mind he knew that it was impossible and that he was sure that there were going to be some nightmares attached to the incident since of course it had been something that he would find to be terrifying as well. He would be there for her though and there was no doubt about that and he was starting to settle down in driving the truck back towards where the barn stood and he knew that it was a comforting feeling back in a close proximity with everything that was important to him, Kambree and the horses and really that was it for him since his family was no here. It was nice to have them all in an area where he could keep an eye on them and keep them protected and secured. He could not hide the feeling of guilt that was weighing him down since he knew that the reason that she had been targetted was because of the horse that he had been trying to get back and because it was his own horse he knew that it was somewhat his fault. When they arrived the truck was parked by the outside entrance to his place and he stepped out off the running boards. At least he did know that if the situation was reversed that he would have done all that he could have to help her get her own horse back. There would be no doubt and it would not have mattered what it would have taken but even that did not make him feel entirely better. When she told him that she loved him after he told her that he was falling for her there was a feeling of ecstatic energy that passed through him before he was even able to respond to her with a soft expression crossing over teal eyes that were met by hers. His arms were wrapped around her neck and he stepped closer to her to close any distance between the two of them. Move in with me Kambree, permanently. He uttered softly meeting her eyes not knowing if it was too soon but really what was there stopping the two of them considering the place was large enough for the two of them and they loved one another so why not take it to the next level now that she did not have a place to live. He watched the dog hop out of the truck and wander around the place and this caused a small smile to cross his face, he did not know the dog very well but he did not seem too affected by the fire. He waited for her response for a moment before then taking her hand and walking with her in the direction of his door and opening it for the two of them. His mind was elsewhere and actually it was back on the kiss that the two of them shared before stepping into the apartment. The place had not changed since the last time that they were there but it felt almost complete as there was more than just him there, it always felt a little hollow when he was alone. Since it was closing in to the time that it was going to be dark out and the horses would all be settled in for the night he turned to her. Did you ever used to go on midnight rides when you were a kid? He asked her referring to the horses. How would you like to go on a ride with me right now? He asked gently. It would be a good way to get their mind away from what had just happened.

She did understand that it was perfectly normal to want to rely on someone in a situation like this, it would have been normal for her to try to just tough it out alone as that would have only made it worse. Having Enzo there did help her very much, he was able to help reassure her that this was indeed not her fault so she was no longer blaming herself as the reason that her house had caught on fire in the first place. She had known it was silly but it had taken someone else's comment that it had not been an accident to fully convince her. Facing this disaster in the first place was a living nightmare, it would have been intensified if she had had to deal with everything herself and had he not shown up when she had asked.Currently she was trying to ease her mind with distracting herself from what had just happened but the shock was not going to be wavered easily. She was thankful that Enzo had taken her away from the site because if she had stayed there longer, she would have completely broken down right then and there and who knows what might have happened then. She was not used to this feeling of helplessness, it did not suit her, especially when she was the type that would always go out of her way to help someone else. She always had control of situations and here there had been absolutely no chance for that, there was nothing she could have done. As they both stepped from the truck, she drew close to him and the words fell easily from her lips as he claimed he was falling for her but she was the one that had said things that were a little further along then that and was not even thinking twice about it. Over the course of their relationship until now, she had continued to get close to him and to develop feelings for him continuously, there was nothing that could make her deny something like that. It was better now that things were out in the open though, she was not questioning the boundaries but instead had just spoken up and laid it all down on the table. There was not even a brief pause from her as he stepped closer to her, she wanted to be close to him and rested her head lightly against his chest with a quiet sigh before looking up to meet his gaze. Hearing his next words, she swallowed momentarily, barely weighing the options as she knew her answer instantly. Knowing Enzo, it was reassuring to think that he would never bring such an offer up unless he meant it so she did not question it but instead nodded lightly with a small smile beginning to register on her lips. I would love that, thank you.She murmured gently, following his gaze as the dog investigated the new area. At least he was holding up. Following as he took her hand, she knew the apartment area fairly well and then looked back towards him as he asked about a midnight ride. Nodding, a smile came to her expression as she recalled a few different instances. As far as my parents knew, no. But I have, it has been a few years though. She stated, dismissing the reverie and returning her sole attention back to him. The opportunity sounded comforting to her, a chance to distract herself. I think that sounds great. She uttered, she was far too awake and stressed to even think about sleeping right then still so there was no reason not to take advantage of the decent light the current moon gave off and go for a short ride. Walking back to the barn area with him, she released his hand only when they went to separate stalls, slipping in with the gelding, she wrapped her arms around his neck tightly for a moment before letting go and the horse managed to tolerate her doing so by standing still. She removed the sheet that was on him before slipping on his halter and leading him down to the cross ties. She brushed him rather briefly before adjusting slipping a bridle over his head and leading him to a block where she was able to get on. Meeting up with Enzo, she smiled lightly and followed his lead. Thank you for everything you've done for me. She uttered quietly to him while looking in his direction as they went down the trail. The next few days were definitely not ones she was looking forward to just because she was sure there would be more things to clarify and go over with the police and she much preferred the thought of just forgetting everything but really it was not like that and she knew that the person that had tried to do this needed to be taken care of in the first place since there was no guarantee they would not try to do something else to her which did manage to scare her actually. She did not like to think about that, especially if they caught onto Enzo too and if something happened to him, she could not imagine. Soon she was going to get this all settled up for good and make sure that nothing happened to either of them.

He wanted nothing more than for her to just realize that he was there when she needed it the most and there was nothing that was going to change that, he was excited about where their relationship seemed to be taking them. When they had first been together it had seemed like they were on differnet planets and both of them could simply co-exist without needing one another but now that they were closer than ever they realized that while they could exist without the other that it was simply not as appealing as being there with someone to help you through. He knew that he needed her just as much as she needed him, she had been the one to find his horse and there were not any girls that were that brave and would have put their job and their life at risk in order to get back a horse for him and he knew that he would have done it all for her as well. If she had been in the same situation he would not have rested until the horse was back in her care because that was just the way that the two of them were and that was the way that their relationship tended to work. He knew that it would not be the best idea for him to think too much about the fire right now since he knew that he was on edge and there was not very much that was stopping him from walking back to where the police were and giving them the name the the descriptions of the people that were responsible for that but they needed to finish their investigations and he needed to make sure that Paul took care of them in regards of the stallion and was able to put them away long before making accusations in case they might be stupid enough to come after them again. He wanted to be able to protect Kambree. He wanted her to know that she was always able to call him no matter what it was and no matter what he was doing, she was so important to him and that was not going to be changing any time soon. When she told him that she loved him when they stepped out of the truck he knew that it was the right time to ask her to move in with him and he knew that he loved her too because he had never felt this way about someone even when he had been involved in the relationship back home. This was a healthy and a mature relationship and that was something that he was marvelling at, how did he get this lucky? He in fact could not wait for her to eventually meet his parents knowing that they would love the girl as well. I'm glad. He uttered softly when she told him that she would move in with him. He laughed when she stated that her parents did not know but that it had been a few years. You and I are even more alike than I thought at first. He told her. He knew that it had been his favourite time to ride, when you thought that you were invincible and could not picture anything happening after sneaking out of the house when it was late and dark, now was a little different though and he knew that it did not hold the same amount of risk since they were together and not going to do something silly like gallop down the trails. He walked with her along the alleyway before then parting ways with her to walk to the tack room and grab the mares bridle because he knew that it would be too much for Percy to try to behave himself. He slipped it over her ears and led her to the mounting block outside before settling on the horse. He turned to her when she led her own horse out and thanked him for all that he had done for her which he then shot her a confused look. I haven't done anything at all. Thank you for all that you have done for me. The ride was silent for a few moments as they walked before he turned back to her. I need to go back to Germany. He then said all of a sudden out of the blue. He knew that he needed to clarify it before she ended up getting all stressed out and thinking that he meant that he was going back to live there. For legal reasons regarding my uncle, I don't really know what is going on but I am sure that it can be fixed in a matter of days but what I am getting at is that I would really love it if you came with me. He told her. Of course its up to you and I know that we could not leave until all this with the police is settled. He knew that as soon as they were going to talk to the police and as soon as Paul finished with the report that it was not goingt to take long and that soon they were going to be free of the guys that were trying to harm her but it really did feel a lot better knowing that she was going to be under the same roof as him and that he did not need to worry about her. Their relationship seemed to be taking a new level as they were going to be living together and that was something that was so exciting for him.

This relationship had always been as simple as breathing she had found, well aside from the few incidents that they had encountered but even then it had not been something that was a direct result of their relationship together. They had gotten through those events and in the end it had only managed to pull them closer actually as she knew very well that Enzo was the first person that she wanted to go to if anything came up and she knew she trusted him quite a bit in comparison to anyone else in her life right now. He was important to her and she had become quite attached to him over the course of the last few months. Being in a relationship with him was something she adored, they understood one another better than anyone else she knew. She was not usually one to just start talking about feelings, for some reason she had never been overly outward on the subject but with Enzo she knew exactly how she felt and that there was no reason that she should not just come out and say exactly what she felt. Kambree had never been involved in such a mature relationship, she had done her best to avoid them just so she could get her goals accomplished without distractions but in this case everything had fallen together quite perfectly. Normally she would have not been so accepting of the idea of moving in with her boyfriend as she had always promised herself that she was not going to move in with someone until she was married after having watching many of her friends' relationships going down the drain after that but now there was no doubt in her mind about it. She was exhausted and really did not have many options for where she could even go at this point, staying with Enzo would be completely different as again their relationship was much stronger than a lot of the others that she had witnessed. Just because other people failed did not mean she was going to and it was not like moving in with him was a major deal, it was a good step forward in their relationship, one that they could handle and it was very appreciated that he was inviting her to live with him in the first place since it did say a lot about it. Living with him would be comforting to her, she already knew this as she was no a little weary after finding out that the fire was far from an accident. Usually she felt completely fine on her own however now this kind of came into play and changed things a little bit, but that was expected was it not? It was not like you were going to feel completely safe after figuring out that someone had purposefully set your house on fire and who knew what else they were willing to do to send some stupid message. She tried to see the good in the people but of course here she could not help but be a little frightened given the situation. She could not help but grin as he commented that they were more alike than he had thought. It was extremely refreshing to be around someone that you had so much in common with, there was no doubt about that. Riding at night had always been much more appealing to her, there was just something a little more drawing her towards it, it was peaceful and also frowned upon by her parents, so maybe it was the extent of her being 'reckless' and rebelling although she found that difficult to believe. Midnight rides were just much more risky as a kid, seeming a little daunting but fun at the same time back then but now it was viewed in a different way. She was just as content on the trails in the day as she was at night. The horse seemed rather curious that he was getting taken out so late but at the same time he did not put up too much of a fight after having been asleep and contentedly following her out to get the bridle and then slip on his back. The sound of chirping crickets were heard along the trails though other than that it was pretty quiet aside from their small conversation and the sounds of the horses' hooves as they hit the dirt along the trail. When the brief silence between them was broken by him saying that he needed to go back to Germany, she instantly froze. Had she heard him right? He was going to leave now? Just like that? It did not make sense to her and she hated jumping to conclusions like that, she could not stand it at all. He had just invited her to live with him and was all of a sudden deciding to go back home? What did that mean? Puzzled and trying to hide the alarm that came to her immediately following this statement, she looked in his direction and was able to breath out her relief when he only explained that he needed to settle some things out back in Germany before inviting her along as well. Nodding slowly at first as she considered the idea, she knew there was no way or reason for her to even think of saying no. Getting away from here would be good for her, after they got the case settled in of course. Of course I would love to go along with you, Enzo. Just tell me when and I will be there. She uttered gently, shooting him a small smile as the horses continued down the trail.

Not too many people could really say that things were so easy between them and their significant other, in fact he really could not remember a time where they even started to have a differing of opinion. They were a lot alike and he was sure to try to take his time to see things from her point of view because it was the give and take situations in a relationship that really tested the strength and with all the things that they had gone through so early while being together he was sure that with time there was nothing that they could not withstand and that was enough to be very powerful. He did not know if it was because she was the closest person to him or the fact that his parents lived so far away but the fact still remained that whenever something happened even early in their relationship he always felt like she was someone that he could go to no matter what with whatever was on his mind. This was such a new feeling to him and one that he was really learning to appreciate. While he really did not need someone to rely on it was nice to know that there was always someone there when he needed to talk and that was the most important part. He really did feel like she probably thought that she could come to him for anything as well. It felt like there was a weight lifted off his shoulders now that the two of them had both admitted that they loved one another after all he had known it for the last little while but he just was not brave enough to say it, or the timing did not seem to be right. After all where would he be without her? He would still be looking for his horse that was stolen from the horseshow or who knew maybe he would not have even lasted in this town for that long and he might have gone back to Germany because there had been awhile where he really did not like the lifestyle here and he really wanted to be back around his family but he had been convinced to give it a second try when he had met Kambree and the thought of leaving the vibrant girl was something that did not settle well with him and he was glad that he did not get too caught up in his own wants and needs and end up going back to Germany. He was usually hesitant to have someone move in with him and the only time that he had someone living with him had been when he had been in college but with Kambree it just seemed like the natural next step of their relationship and it was something that he was ready for and it was something that needed to happen now since she did not have a place to stay. Really he was sure that it would be nice for her to be living at a place that she worked and where she kept her horse. He did have to admit that he was excited that she was going to be living a place that he would be able to gaurentee that she was safe, he hated that he was that much of a worrier but really with all the things that had happened in the last little while he was assuming that it was normal, after all he did not want to see anything at all happen to his girlfriend and it was normal to be protective over someone that you loved and really cared for. He was going to make sure that the men that had done this and were striking fear into the two of them were taken care of as soon as possible because it was not right to have to live in fear of what they might do since it was clear that they were willing to stoop to levels that people would not even dream about, after all they were the ones that were in the wrong to begin with and they were the ones that had stolen the horse but he did feel like they had gotten themselves a little in over their head in regards to the people that they were dealing with. His mind was taken off of things a little when she agreed to the night ride and commented that it had been awhile since she had been on one and as far as her parents knew that it was not something that she did, it was nice to share these sort of memories with someone and he did have to admit that he needed a little relaxation and time to just act their age and not worry about the bigger problems that were becoming apparent in their life. It was just time to take a little breather. They were mature enough to not do anything too silly in the first place and the mare that was standing in her stall was used to things like this so she did not even blink when she was being brought out of her stall and the bridle was slipped over her ears and he settled himself on the horses back. He regretted wording the next statment when he told her that he needed to go back to Germany since it was obvious that she thought that he was leaving by the way that she tensed and he could see that in her horse. She told him that she would love to go with him and he reached over to take her hand keeping one hand on his reins of the mare that was walking quite calmly alongside her horse, they seemed to be used to one anothers company and while she was not the easiest horse to get along with she seemed to appreciate the interaction. I was thinking just after we get this fire incident settled. I don't want to leave while they are still pressing charges and might need you to talk to them but right after? He asked turning to her with a small smile. The night was still and peaceful with a lack of lights along the trail but the moon was bright enough to give them enough light.

The fact that Enzo had shown up and been there for this really did mean a lot to her, especially since he had then offered for her to live with him, she had not exactly expected the offer and it was very much appreciative. He was exactly what she needed during this stressful mess and he was there when she had asked him without any hesitation which again was something that said a lot to her. She knew far too many guys that would just blow this off without any second thoughts although it was clear that Enzo genuinely cared about her and she knew she felt the same for him. She would do the same if situations were reversed without a doubt. Their relationship was rather balanced with the fact that they both were ready to be there for the other when it was necessary and they were willing to help without any strings attached. She adored the easiness between them and how there was no difficulty in anything at all. they got along and had not even come to a point where they had fought. All along the two had been extremely agreeable together, fighting between them just did not appear that it would be something of their nature although there were always those incidents, nothing to even cross Kambree's mind though as she was pretty smitten with her boyfriend and had been for some time now. Generally she was an independent and guarded person though when it came to Enzo, she felt like he was the person she could go to with nearly anything and not have a problem. And with the fire, it was only proving this to her even further. The feelings she had for him were strong and really together their entire relationship proved to be strong when it came down to the different challenges they had faced recently. She had never been one that was too involved with relationships so therefore found it a little intimidating to say what she felt although there was no doubt what she felt when he had also announced his feelings for her. She was just a little cautious in throwing her feelings on the line even if it was someone she trusted, she just was not one to push boundaries and so therefore that was why she had been a little more quiet about such things. She had not been looking so much to get herself involved in a relationship although this had happened and it was never something she would protest. It was perfect in her eyes, nothing less and she could not believe how lucky she was. The way things were working out were just flawless, even now as she was supposed to be living with him, she would also be close to the place she worked since she had started looking after horses for Paul in addition to a few days at the clinic. It kept her relatively busy although she still had a few days for down time in addition and the schedule was great to her. She had been rather ecstatic in finding his horse as she felt like she had been able to do something important for him and wished that they could have just taken care of the people all at once instead of making it to now but really that was just how it happened. She was confident in getting them now, even if she was a bit scared about it all. She had not expected the type of people she was dealing with but then again she should not have been so naive in thinking the better of them when they had already proven themselves to be criminals. The vet clinic had been warned of them and so that was taken care of but she had expected that the police would have taken care of them as well but apparently they had not gotten all of them and that was unnerving to her. She was still a little jumpy just with the thought and how shaken up it had gotten her but she tried to turn her mind away from this by focusing on their ride which was very relaxing. The horses were both quiet and seemingly content as she listened to her boyfriend speak, becoming at first a little surprised at his mention of Germany until she was further informed and then becoming more comfortable with this statement. She understood of course, she needed to go back and visit her family as well as it had been too long but she had not quite expected to be invited along. But he did want her to so she had no problem with agreeing, smiling as hand was held by his as they rode, nodding when he uttered that he wanted to wait until the charges were all settled in. I like that idea. I just hope this whole thing gets done and over with as soon as possible. She admitted a little sheepishly. Everything needed to be settled in and taken care of, she knew without a doubt but she was not overly fond of the idea of seeing the people who had deliberately wanted and attempted to hurt her in person. There was a large lack of warm and fuzzy feelings going on there.

He was getting excited that she was going to be living with him from now on, he loved living at the barn that he had his horses at since it was just a walk out the door in order to see them and therefore he was able to devote a lot more time with them without the driving distance between work and his house and the barn. It was not that the place that he had been living had been far away it was still just a hassle and when he remembered that he needed to do something that evening he was able to just step out the door and they were all there waiting. Since he had lived for awhile on his grandfathers farm in Germany he had gotten a little more accustomed to having horses in his backyard so when he moved here it was almost like he was lost since he had to drive to the barn and make a special trip everyday in order to see the horses. It was strange to live in an area where there were people around and your neighbours were not all that far away, he was much more accustomed to living in or around a barn so even if the apartment came with the other responsibilities as night check and working the other horses in the barn he did not have a problem with it, he loved working part time for Paul and in order to pay off the large stallion that he now called his own it was all going to be worth it no matter what. He knew that after this that she would be somewhat of a mess, he would be the same way since in the last little while there had been a lot happening and none of it had been something that either of them were prepared for. He had been the cause of this and without her being associated with him he was sure that it would not have even happened in the first place but because she had been so helpful in getting the stallion back to him she was now a walking target for these people who just proved that they had nothing to lose. But if there was one thing that the man was it was stubborn and he was not going to rest until they were behind bars and where they could no longer hassle her or cause her any harm, he did not even want to come close to picturing what it would be like if she had gotten hurt because of him, there was no way that he would have ever forgiven himself. He was supposed to be the one that was protecting her not her demise. The fact that he had told her that he loved here and that she had said it back was still going through his mind and causing him to probably grin like a fool. There really had only been one other time that he had told a girl other than his mother and grandmother that he loved her and it had turned out in a complete disaster when she had been cheating on him even as he said those words and she said them back. He was sure that with Kambree though it was all going to be different, they were so much more mature and their relationship was nothing like the one that he had been involved in when he had been living in Germany. Both of them seemed like they were quite laid back and they seemed to have the same mentality that caused them to get along so well, it was true that fighting really was not in their nature and why bother fighting when you tended to have the same imput on the matters? Even though there had been so much that they had gone through in their relationship things really did feel like they just fell into place with no problem at all when they were involved, feeling grew and became greater and it was almost like it was the next logical step for the two of them to move in together and take things to the next level. When he spoke about the break in as well as the fire there was no doubt the disgust that he felt for it since the horse that was beneath him then snorted and shifted uneasily hand was then reached forward to pat her on the neck before continuing along the path that was lit by a few potlights that Paul had put out there for evening walks. The place was something to be proud of in a whole since it was excellently laid out and it was all taken care of properly not just a place that fell to shambles the moment after it was built. He remembered the first time that he had seen it when he had been introduced to the man and it all seemed to overwhelming and he really thought that Paul was going to be some stuck up rich guy that no one wanted anything to do with and that was the reason he was being offered the job. It was impossible not to take a liking to him though since he was just so logical and really the place ran so smoothly considering he was almost never there and always travelling all over the world. When Kambree mentioned that she hoped that it was all going to get settled soon he nodded lightly. Don't worry I will make sure of it. He stated defiantley. It was not fair for her to have to live watching over her shoulder for these people and he really wished that he could just take her away to Germany right away so that she would not have to deal with them again but sadly in order to get these people put behind bars it was going to mean that they were going to have to be there to tell their story. Have you ever been to Germany? He asked looking over at her in the darkness.

She was looking forward to living with him as well since it was definitely a new step forward for the two of them by all means. She had been a little envious of his getting to stay at the barn as it was anyway as she would love being able to be that close to the horses and be able to cut down the time it took to take trips back and forth in not having them right outside the door. It would definitely make for a bit more riding time available in her schedule. On the bright side she would no longer have to deal with obnoxious neighbors that tended to keep her up for long hours of the night with their parties and whatever else they did to cause so much racket. And now that she took over tending to the various horses a few times throughout the week, it was beneficial in several ways. Generally Kam was not one to become a wreck when things got bad but here it was something that she had not been expecting by any means and it did manage to get to her. It was not like she was going to settle easily with the idea that someone wanted to hurt her purposefully after she had worked to get Enzo's horse back. Recently they had not had the best history with things happening but sooner or later there would be the calm after the storm, right? With knowing the people were probably still wanting to get back at her, she was not fully comfortable as of yet just because they were still out there. Enzo was involved in this mess as well which only continued to worry her since he could get hurt too and the situation was just a little nerve wracking. She did not like getting this upset and worried about thins but everything had thrown her for a loop lately.Having Enzo around her now was a security blanket though as she knew he would be watching out for her although she needed to still be a little precautionary herself just in the off chance they showed up. They just needed to work towards getting the guys in jail and then things would return to the normal, relaxed stage where they could rest easily and not worry about looking over their shoulders for someone.Telling Enzo she loved him was something she had to be sure of given the last time the words had come from her had been quite some time ago actually. Yet with him there was nothing to argue about when it came to her feelings, their relationship was just so effortless even when things got rough that she could not begin to believe how she had gotten so lucky this time. Even if she had not been looking for a relationship, there was no doubt she could not have found a better one than the one she had since it was flawless to her. They got along fabulously and the feelings they had for one another were on the same page and nothing was more reassuring than that. The fire was not something she really wanted to bring up but they probably did need to bring it up anyway since they needed to take care of it and figure out what to do. The sooner they got that all settled, the sooner the people would be taken care of which was a nice thought. It was not something that was going to be forgotten any time soon and she was going to have to cope with that. The two horses plodded along the pathway without any problems as she was able to pay more attention to Enzo. He seemed adamant about getting everything taken care of and she smiled lightly, grateful that he was so helpful and reliable in this mess as it was something she needed by all means. The trip to Germany to her sounded excellent as she was curious to see his grandparent's farm that he had told her about before and it was not like she would pass up the opportunity to go with him on such a trip. Shaking her head lightly, she considered her response a moment prior to speaking. No, I've always wanted to though. I've always had a crazy plan of visiting Warendorf in Germany and then the Spanish Riding School in Austria. She uttered, blushing lightly. The second bank account still had her funds saved up in it for the trip although she just had not had the chance to go as of yet. Sometime she would make it, she kept that promise with herself. Vienna had always been a destination plan for her ever since watching the Lipizzaners perform while in Vegas and then Warendorf had become a draw as well given that it was the horse capital of Germany. Their short trail ride did not take long to come to an end as the horses were on autopilot to go back towards the barn and she lightly slid from the geldings back before leading him back to his stall after currying him and replacing the light sheet. Meeting up with Enzo again, she smiled lightly before reaching for his hand to walk back towards his apartment. I don't suppose you have a pair of shorts I can wear, do you? She asked, biting her lip as she remembered that she was going to definitely need to get more clothes the following day.

He never thought that he would be living with someone this soon after coming to the US, but it felt right, he was just the type of person that wanted to be off on his own and doing his own thing and the horses always came first to him. They were his enjoyment in life but Kambree did not take away from that, she was so important to him, she now came first in his life and yet she was not going to ask him to choose between her and the horses. That was always something that he was never willing to do and he could tell that when he had been with his last girlfriend there was going to be a time where he was going to have to decide whether he seriously wanted to be with her or he wanted to be around the horses and continue his showing career and to tell the truth at the time he had been so blind by thinking that the woman loved him that he might have made the wrong choice. He was glad that he didn't though and he was glad that he had been there to walk into the restaurant at the wrong time when she was supposed to be home ill, because it would have hurt even more if she had spent even longer cheating on him and after that he had been much too devastated to get too involved with anyone at all and that was why he had done his best to distance himself. Work at the engineering company, make sure that he was making enough to support his horses and then keep his horses on the side, hoping to show again. When he had owned the big black gelding though there was no use in thinking that the horse was going to take him back to the same level though, he was a nice horse, had the talent as well as the breeding but the thing lacking there was both the confidence and the fire that he needed, the heart to actually compete with that caliber of horses so even though it was a tough decision that he often wondered if he regretted he was more than happy to know that the large horse was now pleasing an amateur girl in the equitation division and he was left to make the largest purchase being the grey stallion that he now owned. Percy was not the easiest horse to get along with so therefore he had been lucky that Paul only wanted the stallion to go to him because if he had been rideable to many other people there was no way that even with his bonuses for finishing drafts for the firm early that he would have been able to afford the horse but given the fact that he was working for Paul, had sold a few young talented horses with a good commission and had generous savings he lucked out, one of those opportunities that he would never be able to pass up. To think that he felt like he came so close to losing it as well when the animal was stolen at the show. Having her around at the barn and living there with him was going to be a dream come true because it was going to mean that he was going to have a lot more time to allot to the horses there and they were going to be a lot safer with her living there as well, even if the security around the barn had doubled after the incident with Percy. As for the people that were currently after Kambree there was no one that was going to be able to get past him in order to get to her, he was going to make sure that she was safe no matter what it took, he would not be able to live with the fact that she was hurt because of something that she did for him and he knew that they needed to deal with these people long before something else happened in order to make sure that they did not get in over their heads with the other people involved because there was no saying what they were willing to do. The horses were perfectly relaxed with the way that they were walking even in the dark which was nice because he knew that Rio did not tend to be too relaxed just anywhere, she tended to settle in a lot slower than the stallion for some reason but given that she had grown up on this farm and lived here the majority of her life before the previous brief time at the other barn she seemed right in her element. A lot had been happening with the horses as well so he did not blame them for being a little on edge as well, surely they were stressed as well. When she told him that she wanted to go to Warendorf he smiled softly. I will have to look it up but I think that we might be there for the Symphony of Stallions, its quite the event. I used to live not too far away from Warendorf. He uttered, he had been there once before but to the stallion parade in October. As for the riding school, we are only a short flight away from Austria while being there. One of the guys that I used to ride a lot with grew up in Austria and had a lot of experience with the Spanish Riding School. There were quite a few contacts that he had made in his time there. Jumping lightly to hia feet when they reached the barn he placed the mare back in her stall before checking on Percy as well before then meeting back up with Kambree and walking hand in hand with her on the way to the door of the apartment. He chuckled when she asked him if he had shorts she could wear. Of course I do. He assured her and once they were inside the apartment he grabbed a pair of shorts and a t-shirt for her from his drawers before handing them to her.
