Hands fell back to sides as the fatal started off, stepping over the makeshift half fence that held the animals within the rather generous space, at least, it kept the puppies inside. As the lass had stepped into the pen, the mother dog had stood, streached, then gracefully lept over the barrier, a soft chuckle escaping from the male mouth as he turned to watch her with amusement, smiling as she plopped down upon the edge of the pourch and began eating from the dog bowl, pausing everyonce in a while to lap at the water in the pan to the right of the food with pink tissue. Focus returned to the younger ones as multiple yips of excitement drew his facade from their matron, silver depths roaming over each one as he inspected them. Of coarse, the puppy was the lady's present that he had luckily come upon because of the advertisement in the mall, but it did not hurt to analize the prospects himself, even if she would be the one to choose which one they got in the end. Personally, the bloke did not really have a preferance, but he loved the coat pattern of the German Shorthaired Pointers and had been thrilled to find out that the owner had not given any of them away yet when he had called the number upon the flyer to get the details since it had not given any specifics on which breed of dogs she was selling. Eyes landed upon a little girl that stumbled her way over to Ayrn, noticing her bright blue eyes and the few larger brown spots that were spread randomly across coat along with the dapples and the bright white fur that was the base. Stepping over the fence, arm braced against the ground as the man settled down to sit beside the essa, arm moving to wrap around her abdomen as stature slumped, chin resting against shoulder as he gazed down at the pup in her lap, a smile upon mask as he guessed the choice had already been made, whether his lover had voiced it or not. I take it you want this one? Tunes ask quietly, deep vocals rumbling from chest as free limb extended, palm running over the little dog's head, thumb rubbing at her ears playfully while he waited for the answer he knew would come. Glancing back up at the vender, Erixic silently reminded himself of their agreement, making sure to meet her eyes so that he could get confirmation. A smile and a nod were what he recieved and he took that as a positive. Earlier, the baron had wired her the money so that they did not have to discuss price or payment when he showed up with Ayrn. He had been taught well growing up that the reciever should never know the price of their gift, especially when it was expensive. If she asked about it, which, he doubted she would really, the duke had already resigned himself to simply replying that he had been able to afford the puppy.

It seemed the other puppies seemed to give her space after all she knew that to them she might smell a little like a larger canine and predator. The others did not catch her attention though since she was so focused on the little one in her lap. A small smile gracing her gentle features as palm stroked the soft 'baby' fur that lined the small animals body. Tongue of the dog hung out panting from the lengthy walk for her little legs after all she was still quite small. Perhaps she would one day be a loyal jogging partner. She knew that this would set Erix's mind at ease since she knew no matter if he knew that she was able to take care of herself he still worried, human nature. Especially when you cared about someone else she knew that it was ridiculous though she was even worried when he went out on his own for jogs after all the horror movies were all seemed to be based off lone joggers out in the times that they usually jogged themselves. Her thoughts were back on the situation when the soft thud of footsteps caused her to look in the mans direction as he joined her after stepping into the pen and kneeling so that he was at her level. Emerald gaze was completely ecstatic as it met his with a shimmering gleen. He sure knew the way to suprise her, she had always wanted a dog but it never would have been fair with the amount of travelling that she did all around and she did not know if she was going to be captured at any moment so it did not seem fair. She had taken care of Damien's cat when he had been on vacation once though that hardly seemed to count and even then she had loved it since it had kept her company in the house. Since she was planning on staying in this town now though she was completely sure that a dog was just what they needed. It was clear the choice had been made although she was not too sure if she had been the one that did the choosing since the puppy had been the one to make her way to the girl. Content in her presence. She nodded though no syllables were uttered as she got to her feet. The puppy whined as she was placed back on the ground so there was no other solution then to pick her back up. She could not believe the dog could be much cuter. The owner stated that they were ready to go so she assumed that meant that they would be able to take home the new addition today, possible names were already running through her mind as she turned to the female who owned all the animals. I am glad she made it easy they are all so cute. She stated with a broad smile before turning back to Erix. So are you thinking about any names? She asked quietly they barely knew the animal though so she was sure that something would not stick until they were around the puppy for much longer. Once they were finished their thank yous and whatever else he needed to deal with she made her way to the car. The puppy looked back to all her buddies with a small whine though she knew that the dog would get over this quick since it would only be natural since that had been the situation she had been in since birth. Thank you. She murmered to the man as he stepped into the car beside her. The puppy sat poised on her lap as she shut the door and did up her seat belt with no intentions of ridding the dog from its place it seemed to claim though she was sure they the dog would not stay small long enough to remain a lap dog and she was glad since she was not the type to own a small dog.

Smile spread wide across features as the male gazed down at his lover, her happy excitement bluntly obvious. A small thrill ran throughout his frame, leggings straightening as the essa stood to move out of the pen with the puppy she had chosen in her arms. It was a satisfaction unlike anything else for him to know that he could surprise her and bring her joy like this. If he could see that same look in emerald depths that the lass' pair held now every day, he would die a content man, no matter what else happened in their future. The present, however late it had turned out to be considering Christmas had been months ago, seemed to have been perfect. How had the bloke known that the maiden would want a puppy? Well, quite frankly, he had guessed. Ayrn seemed like the kind of person that loved animals and he had a preferance for dogs over any other pet and therefore when he had seen the poster at the mall, it had felt like destiny. Figure moved to the essa's side as she stooped to pick up the little dog again, masculine chuckles being surpressed at the action. Dome shook in the negative when she asked him if he had been thinking of any names. It's your girl. You can name her, but if you want help I suppose I can try and think of a few. Vocals reply, making it clear that he hadn't brought her here for the both of them, but just for her, even if he did like pointers. They exchanged goodbyes and thank yous with the owner, the elder lady being sure to remind Erixic that she expected updates on the pups growth and health as well as pictures. The bloke happily told her that they would oblige and kissed the eldery woman on the cheek, one of his charming grins flashing as he moved to head towards the car, thanking her once again for helping him find the perfect gift while she rose one hand to her cheek in delighted surprise and waved him away, calling him a rascal just before he turned, waved as if agreeing and ducked into the drivers seat. Chuckling to himself, he turned on the car, bluckled his seat belt and turned to his companion as she thanked him, silvery pools remaining on her facade for a moment before shifting to look at the newest addition to their home. You're welcome though I don't need thanks. I was hoping to get a dog sometime soon regardless, but I saw the flyer and thought it would be a perfect way to make up for not having gotten you a Christmas presant yet. Lyrics reply, a slow smile tugging at features before the drake shifted in his seat and pulled out of the drive way, heading towards home finally.

Sitting in the car the puppy stopped whimpering as a soothing hand stroked the small body of the animal. Soft motions seeming to calm the nerves of being seperated from all she knew for the first time though she knew it would only take a little bit of time before she would never look back on the day and her new life would seem ideal. She mulled over the names that had first come to her mind. She settled on one of her favourite places in the world one of the only places she had visited on an actual vacation. Cairo. She stated quietly looking to see the reaction crossing his face wondering if he would question what might seem like a little strange of a name though it seemed to have a nice ring to it and she knew that the sooner the dog was named the better she would repond to it. He explained where he had spotted the flyer for the dogs and she nodded listening only half heartedly. Can we stop at a pet store? She asked with a small smile plastered on gentle features. Pointing in the direction of the local store that housed all the supplies that the pampered animal would soon have. She knew that he would not tell her no. After he parked the car she stepped out placing the dog on the seat before she had her arms free again and picked her back up knowing she would be the center of attention from all the people in the store. Luckily it was a store that allowed pets. The puppy looked around curiously though remained quiet an attribute she already came to appreciate since she hated yappy dogs though the laid back mentality seemed to be a part of her persnnality. The door of the store was held open for her as she walked in a small kid ran up to her asking to pet her puppy of course she obliged kneeling to the small girls level knees bent resting the back of her thighs against her calves to make sure that she was steady. The little kids face beamed and the puppy seemed to enjoy it just as much. A small smile appeared on Ayrn's kind features as she then raised herself back up to her previous height looking down one of the aisles and settling on a soft mint green collar that would look amazing against the colouring of the puppy and a matching leash. She knew that she would grow out of it soon though that did not matter since it was almost like dressing up a child. Picking out a bag of food as well she then spotted what would make their life a lot easier. A large foldable cage that could be placed anywhere around the house for the times that they were not home since she was much too little to even think about staying outside. She was sure that Erix would fence the yard of the townhouse within time though that did not mean the dog would ever be out there. She was not the type to simply leave a dog somewhere when you went out for hours upon hours at a time. You choose to have a pet so therefore they should be a huge part of your life. Settling on the purchases she walked to the counter and the woman there made a huge fuss over the puppy that was starting to look a little terrified of all the changes. She passed her the card she managed to grab out of her pants pockets and with the help of a sales guy the new things were brought to the car and she headed in that direction before the dog became too insecure.

Pools are taken off the road in front of them, seeing that there was hardly any traffic surrounding them and trusting his reflexes enough to glance at the maiden as she speaks, informing him of the name choice that had just been made. Thoughtful expression crossed facade, gaze drifting down to look at the roan pup sitting in her lap. He wondered what made her choose the name, but otherwise decided he liked it, smiling and nodding as attention returns to the pack of cars they were now approaching. I like it. Vocals assure her, guessing that the essa was awaiting his reaction. Nodding yes to her question, he then made a quick right turn, taking them more towards the center of town rather than the suburbs where they lived. He climbed out with her as the car was placed in park, finger pushing the engine off button, causing the sweet purr to come to an abrupt hault. Laughing smile was hidden behind the metal frame of the vehicle, orbs having seen the maiden set the pup down once again only to pick it right back up. Arm that was swung over car door pushed it closed as the man stepped away from the driver's side opening, unable to whipe the smirk off his face as he locked the car and joined the damsel as they walked up to the door. Inside the store, the drake quickly learned that he would not be consulted and so ended up feeling much like a tag along as his companion moved around the store picking out things she wanted the adolesant dog to have. Brow lifted at the cage she found, but he remained silent, accepting the choices and heading towards the register when it appeared they were finished. On the way, Erixic grabbed a rather large bag of milkbones, all different sizes within it for Cairo. She was not yet at the time where she was teething, but he knew that period would come soon as it was not far off considering her age. Purchases were set on the counter, a polite grin turning to the cashier, but for once, a woman failed to notice him for she was entirely focused on the dog in Ayrn's arms. His own mercury gaze was pulled towards the gift pup in consequence, wondering at the strange appeal that they held for the female gender. Sure, he too thought little animals were cute, but women tended to obsess over the baby creatures. Perhaps it was a motherly type thing? Writing it off as such, he dismissed it and gathered up their things, waving the stores employee who approached to help, a short grin flashing at the other man when he saw the surprise in the sales boy's eyes, instantly knowing that he had seen a pretty girl with a puppy in her arms and had jumped at the opportunity, not seeing her partner behind the stand next to the register. It was quite amusing how everywhere they went, both were always noticed, even though mostly it was obvious they were together. All of the stuff was stuck in the trunk, leaving the essa to get in the car before joining her, starting the car and turning to direct his attention to her for a moment. Anywhere else you would like to go? Tunes were spoken a bit sarcastically, teasing smile lighting the chiseled features.

Not much mind was given to the male as he put his purchase at the back. By now the puppy was tired from the adventure and was sleeping in the same spot it had been on the ride over, on her lap. Though her mind was elsewhere gaze focused on the windshield as a small bout of rain began to fall the tiny droplets splatting against the windows and become smeared as the car's windshield wipers wiped them away allowing the male to see through the large pane of glass. It had been a long time since it last rained so the ground was firm and the water seemed to run off it into a mini lake pooling at all the lower elevations, luckily it was not raining hard yet. It was sure to come though and she decided that the rest of her day would be spent within the confines of their house, after all she did not have anything more important to attend to. It would waste enough time getting the puppy set up anyways. Head was shook as he asked if there was anywhere else that she wanted to go and even in his playful sarcasm little note was taken. Palm rested lightly on the puppies back as she turned to look at her own window and become lost in the scenery. It was a lot warmer now then it even had been last week since if there had been precipitation last week it would have been the stunning and cold white flakes that fell from the sky. It was hard to say if they would get anymore snow this year and she would miss it since there were so many good memories that came of it. Palm reached to her pocket to pull out her phone it was rather strange that she had not recieved a call from Damien in a couple days after their chat she was under the impression that he wanted to make her part of the hotel known right away and she knew that everything in the business was usually taken care of right away since it seemed to be what channelled all his affection. Girls to him were dispensble, the business and hotel well that seemed to be his true love. She remembered living with him for a couple months in the midst of her being on the run and remembering how dedicated he had been to that place, it stunned her, though I guess thats what made him such a great business partner one that actually made money at what they did. After all they both had so much time and effort poured into the stupid hotel. As they pulled into the driveway she stepped out puppy in hand allowing the puppy down onto grass to do her business. She then went around to the trunk grabbing what she was able to take in her hands before placing it in front of the stairs to then unlock the door. The puppy was now sitting at the bottom of the stairs looking in their direction in wonder and she gave a small chuckle before picking her up and placing her on the inside of the house. She made sure to take the cage upstairs to their room, she did not know what Erix would think of this but she was sure that his opinion would be voiced soon enough. She unpacked the cage allowing the little dog to stare at her and bark in curiousity. A small smile plastering on features at the small animals antics.

Noting her silence and taking it as her reply, the male turned on the car and started them both towards home, scowling slightly as the rain started to spatter upon the windshield, forcing him to turn on the whipers almost instantly when they pulled out of the parking lot. He knew that the falling water was needed for the earth to remain in good health, yet he did not love it as others did. Sure, the smell was fascinating and the atmosphere it created was ideal at times, but mostly, it just created mud from hard packed sod over which he usually trodded over. The pet store was very close to their house and it therefore did not take them long to arrive in the driveway, the male pushing the button on the garage door opener and waiting paitently as the large, folding metal door rise so he could park the Audi next to his truck. Turning off the engine, he opened the drivers door and stepped out, sticking the keys into his pocket and moving around to the rear of the vehicle, unlocking the trunk while the essa took the dog to do her buisness. He got the bag of food and the bones, leaving the cage fore the fatal to grab when she headed back into the house. Unsure of where to keep the food for the puppy, so he ended up shrugging it from his shoulder in the kitchen, arranging it to where it leaned up against the fridgerator. Shifting as he heard the door open and close behind him, liquids saw the woman enter and set the puppy at the edge of the stairs, brow raising when she started towards their room with the cage in tow. After a moment's pause, he followed her path, picking up the young Cairo on his way and setting her back down inside the doorway while weight shifted and shoulder rested upon the frame, watching her put the walls together, amused. Where exacally is that going to go? Vocals finally ask, one brow raising as teasing grin slowly started to spread across features. Before she had the chance to answer, however, the man's phone rang from his pocket, bringing a frown to features as he dug into his jeans, glancing at the caller ID and not recognizing it, decided he had better pick it up rather than simply allow it to go to voice mail. Flipping it open with his thumb, he put the device to his ear. Hello? He asked, continuing to hold the same frowning expression on his facade. The voice that replied was one that he had not heard in nearly three years. Erixic? The other male asked, causing the drake to freeze instantly in shock. Throat was dry, words building in his mind, but he was unable to speak them. For a long time, the duke remained quiet until again the lyrics of the other person on the phone called his attention. Hello? At this, the man cleared his throat, finally able to produce words. Yes, it's me. Hold on. At this, he looked up, catching the fea's eyes. I'll be right back. He assured her with a quick smile, turning to move to the living room before speaking again. What is it John? The other shifter had at one time been a good friend of the lord's, back when he had lived Max. It's Jullian. She needs help and I did not know who else to call. He could tell by the other's tone that he was stressed. Jullian and John had been new mates when Erix had first met them and both were very in touch with the other's feelings, both physically and emotionally. Jullian said it was an empathy link they shared, a rare gift among mated pairs. Luckily, she had been taught by her parents the history of their race, unlike many of those who were in the group, including himself and her mate. Were are you? I don't know how fast I can get there. We moved. Max made every one move. We are in Sommer now, off Pine Lane. Surprise once more lit the drakes features at this news. Mas had made everyone move here? Mind travels back to the night where he had first met Ayrn, remembering seeing his old enemy at the bar in the resurant they went to. Alright. That is not too far from where I live now. I'll be over as soon as I can be. Third house on the right side of the street. Thank you Erix. I knew we could count on you. I'll explain everything when you get here. The relief in John's voice was unmistakable and despite himself, Erixic found himself smiling as he said his temporary goodbye and hung up the phone. Sticking it back into his pocket, torso half turned back towards the stairs, gaze moving up the steps where their room was. He needed to talk to Ayrn, but did not have the time to explain everything just yet. Heading back up the stairs, he crossed to the damsel's side, touching her lightly on the arm in an urgent sort of way. I have to go help a friend. I don't know how long I'll be gone. I promise to explain everything later. As soon as I know myself. Attempting a half smile, lips kissed her lingeringly, hands holding onto her for as long as he would allow himself to before releasing and stepping back. Let the pup get settled in her new home. I suppose she can stay in our room. Smile flashed then just before the male turned and headed out the door, grabbing his truck keys on his way.

The cardboard was latched together with those silly plastic ties that could drive a person nuts. She returned back downstairs to grab the scissors in time to hear the males phone ring, though not too much thought was given to it as she grabbed the blue handles belonging to the scissors and returned back up the stairs. Cutting the crasps that would then free the cage and glancing at the instructions before piecing it together. She planned on putting it beside their bed on the side that had the window. She thought it would be the best place for the puppy when they were away. The puppy seemed to be exhausted from her large trip and was stretched out on the floor while she pieced together the contraption. Standing for a moment she noticed that the temperature in the house was quite high so she then turning to the outside of the door frame turning the temperature down a little in their room. A stumped look crossed her pretty features once she returned to find that one piece looked as though it did not want to fit and after taking it all back apart for once more she finally managed to piece it together. With an amused and satisfied look on her face she stood carrying it to the place she wanted it to go before jogging down the stairs and grabbing a bunch of old newspapers from the garbage can and placing them in one corner of the cage since that is what it told you to do in house training of the puppy. It was nice since they had hardwood floor in their bedroom and even if she did have an accident there would be a lot less mess. She then moved to their bathroom to fill up a small bowl that she had bought in the store full of water. It was green and had a cute little design of bones on it. She then pulled the collar she had chosen at the pet store out of the bag and tried it on the little puppy before placing it just outside her cage not wanting to keep it on her when she was in the cage. Hearing footsteps coming up the stairs she smiled when Erix entered the room. Though it soon faded when she tried to read the emotions off the males face his expression seemed to have changed in the matter of the time that they had gotten back home. Brow was raised in question when he stated that he was going somewhere though she did not question it acknowledging it in just a small nod as he left the room declaring that she should get the little puppy settled. She had already done that so as he left she heard the door slam she gathered the dog up in her arms and walked down to the kitchen pausing long enough to watch the truck leave the driveway before grabbing her keys and cell phone off the counter and locking the door behind them, placing the little dog in the passengers seat before starting the car and backing out of the driveway wondering where he was headed all with just one phone call. Interest was sparked and she knew that following him was wrong but she was not able to help it. The garage door closed when she was out and she was out onto the road making sure she was far enough back that he would not notice.

Having gotten in the truck, thoughts were not allowed to linger long on the essa he left in the house without an explanation. Ayrn would understand and unlike previous times before Hitari, the male was confident that she had little to worry about because he did indeed told her everything now, feeling no need to keep anything from his mate, even if he felt she was safer not knowing. Pulling out of the driveway, the bloke stopped at the stop sign and turned left onto the main road, knowing that Pine Lane was only about three blocks from where they lived. It was strange that his old friends lived so close to him now and they had yet to run into one another. Then again, the maiden and he had not been in town for very long. Was it really only two days ago that they had returned to the city from Hitari? It seemed like much longer. Thoughts of the like kept the man busy as he continued driving, turning onto John's street before he knew it, the radio off since he had yet to set the channels to the stations he listened to and did not feel like messing with the system tonight. Foot slowly applied the brake as he turned the wheel slightly, pulling up against the curb in front of the house the other man had described on the phone. Pushing the shifter into park, a heavy sigh escaped through nostrils and hand turned the key into the off position in the ignition, gaze locked onto the dark silhouette figure moving behind the creamy colored curtains that hung from the top of the large pane window at the front of the house off to the side of the doorway. Gathering his courage and counterance, the bloke opened the driver's side door and stepped out, shutting the metal frame closed behind him, not bothering to lock the truck as he started up the sidewalk towards the house, knowing that if anyone attempted to steal it, either himself or one of the other shifters inside would notice. Hand lifted to knock as he came to a hault on the welcome mat just outside the doorway, but there was no need for the instant his arm raised, the door was open, a rather frazled looking man in a gray t-shirt and gym shorts standing there to meet him with coal black hair, grown longer since their previous encounter, shooting in all different directions, a clear sign that something was up. "God bless you Erix for coming. Come on in, Jullian is in the back room. As I explained to you on the phone, I didn't know who else to call." The other stepped away and the drake entered into his house, stuffing keys into the same pocket as his phone while he paused just inside what appeared to be the living room, waiting for John to lead him to where he was needed. So what's up man? What am I here to help with. His questions earned him a look of apology, his friend starting down the hallway in front of them before he started to answer. "Well, Jules is pregnant and just went into labor about a hour ago. We didn't go to the hospital because we don't exacally know what to expect. Jullian never talked to her parents about birthing and well, we haven't been able to reach them throughout her pregnancy. She remembers them saying that it's best if a dominant is present to keep both parents calm, and we instantly thought of you." By this time, they had reached the room, silver depths staring after John like he was a crazy man. Lips parted to utter a protest, but then he saw Jullian laying on the bed, facade already drenched in sweat, but her always brilliant smile flashing up at him the instant he was in view. Grin was returned to her and he moved to her side, crouching beside the bed and grasping her hand as she reached for his. "It's good to see you again Erixic." The normally strong tune of the dame's words sounded strange to him all drained and weak, but he managed to push this aside and broaden his smile. You too Jules. I don't know what you two were thinking, asking me to help, but I'm here and I'll do whatever I can. Lyrics were determined as he spoke them, realizing that no matter how much time had past, that these two people were loyal to him, just as he was to them.

She had not realized that the man's destination was so close to the place that they were living and this really seemed to spike and interest in what was going on and what would make the man leave with no explaination at the drop of a hat, nothing but a simply phone call, she was not even aware that he knew of anyone else that was still living around here. Had Laina come back? And if she had did that mean that he was here seeing her? She could not help the feeling of a pang of fear striking through her chest. He would not do this to her though would he? Her mind reeled back to the day that they were in Hitari and the feeling that flooded through her when she spotted him with the girl touching her cheek as if it was unreal that she was there. In some ways she wished that she had not been in view and simply watched to see how far it might go though she knew that it might have broken her heart. Ivories clamp harshly on bottom lip as she turned the corner in pursuit to spot that he was getting out of the truck and walking to a house. She made sure that the car was not visible though palm was on the puppys back stroking the soft fur of the little dog as she waited for him to reach the door and spotted an unknown male, she no longer felt their relationship was stressed so she turned the car around heading back to the house before she was spotted knowing that the action she had just finished was something that he would do. Feeling as though she was left in the dark the garage door opened and swung up into the garage before the car was placed on the inside and concealed once more by closing the door she almost felt as though she should be humming mission impossible though it was all finished now he would never know of the paranoia that caused her to act in the manner she had. She unlocked the door and the puppy had livened up a little following her into the house and skidding on the kitchen floor as she seemed to lose traction around the corner. A small chuckle was released at the actions before she moved to place a little of the dog food in a bowl so that she had the option of eating if she wanted to before she then moved to the other side of the kitchen and turning the oven on getting a pack of chicken out of the fridge and placing it in a bowl on the counter before waiting for the oven to preheat before placing the food into the oven and finding what they might want for the rest of the meal though all she really was doing was biding the time until she would be able to ask him what was going on. Taking a seat at the kitchen table she watched as the puppy milled around exploring.

The damsel thanked him, though he did not need it. Jullian was one of the few women in the world who could get the male to do anything they wanted him to do by simply talking about it and she wasn't even his lover and never had been. It was simply the lady's air that made him feel obligated to help her in anyway possible. She had explained it as the pack bond they share the one time he had finally asked her about it after trying to decipher it for days, but he doubted that some pack bond was the only reason for the strange feeling. For one, it had not been the same with any of the other males or females of the group and secondly, Jules was not a wolven shape shifter and therefore wasn't really apart of his "pack" as she had put it. Glancing back and forth between the two expecting parents, a smile spreading across counterance for reasons unknown. Shaking his head, the male could not help but laugh. Funny that this sort of situation is what would bring them back together again. I can't believe it took you two nearly three years to finally have a baby. I thought for sure you would end up knocking her up after the first two months. Erixic remembered perhaps a little too well how crazy they had been over one another. Practically no place had been off limits to them and their "loving" back then. Heck, he had walked in on them in HIS bathroom at Max's mansion where most of the group met. That was one sight he hadn't wanted to see at five in the morning. The pair of them laughed at his comment, sharing a mutual look quickly before pain twisted the maiden's features and it became all to obvious that she was enduring a contraction. Hand squeezed hers lightly, letting her know he was there, while her body trembled. It ended a few long seconds later, the baron releasing a heavy breath he had not realized he had been holding. Laughing inwardly at himself, gaze shifted to look at John, seeing the worry and pain twisting the blokes face. Poor guy. He can feel everything she is going through. I don't know if I could do that with Ayrn. To have every hurt, every sensation of your lover echoed in yourself, would be pure torture at times. Erix was glad that he and his mate were more of a normal couple in the shifter's world than his two friends were. So, is there a bet going as to what the baby is? He asks, trying to lighten the mood and get their minds off of the agony of having a child. The lass shot him a sly smile, eyes sparkling with a mischivious glint as she got off her reply before her husband. "It's going to be a panther, I can feel it. John, of coarse, doesn't agree, but when does he ever?" Chuckles escape mouth at the pair's banter, watching from the sidelines and wondering if this was how he and Ayrn looked when they were playing. Thought was pushed from his mind as another pang of misery washes over the vixen unexpectedly, drawling him back to the present time. It turned out, this second contraction the man was there to witness was the beginning of the child's birth. In all, it took about four very long hours, but his friends were graced with a baby boy. Jules went to sleep not long after giving their child, named Justin to fit in with the J names of his parents, his first meal. Knowing well that his friend was tired and realizing that he was well had been drained of most of his energy, he took his leave, making John promise to tell Jules goodbye from him and also getting a promise of his own: a promise that they would call him. Strangely, this gave the male an uneasy feeling as he started out to his truck, the lights in the house behind him going off as the new father gave in and went to bed. Dog tired, Erix drove home rather slowly, dragging himself from his truck as he parked it in the garage. After closing the door behind him, he stepped into the house, failing an attemp to stiffle a yawn that parted jaws widely. It was nearly 1am now, he had stayed over there for about five hours.

Dinner had been finished long ago so she simply settled at the table to eat her own part of the meal and ended up packing the rest up into small tupperware containers to keep it seperate and putting it in the fidge. An uneasy feeling washed over her at the amount of time that had passed already. Though she did not get in her car and drive back to the scene knowing that was much too invasive and that she should have never followed him so she did not know the way there. She needed something to take her mind off this strange situation though and yet she was not too sure what might do the trick. She jumped a little as a wet nose was pressed to her leg and a small chuckle was emitted as the puppy was sitting under her chair staring up at her in opes for attention. She scooped the little dog up to rest on her lap. She would not be a lap dog for long since she was going to be a lot bigger so she might as well enjoy the time that she was small enough for it. She was glad that he had not bought her a small dog she hated the little yappy things and would have had a hard time dealing with it being around the house, she did not even consider them dogs. Keeping her body still only happened for a few moments though since she was much too fidgety. She pulled her phone from her pocket to only type a few words in as a text to the man. Are you alright? Was all that it asked. She shoved to phone back into her pockets when she did not get a reply within the next five minutes and a small sigh parted rose kissers as she was feeling helpless in the situation and left in the dark since she did not have an idea what was going on. She grabbed the small bowl of food before placing it in the cage in their room, something simply done to keep her mind busy. She did not want to leave the house since she wanted to be home when he arrived back. The puppy followed her into the living room when she settled on the couch to watch a movie that had come onto pay per view. That engulfed her mind for a couple hours though still left her getting more and more worried. Watching another show after that it signalled three hours of him being away. She would not allow herself to get neurotic though. She carried the pup up to their room and set her in the cage while busying herself getting ready for bed. She stepped into the shower and allowed the hot water to ease her mind for the time being and blow dried her hair when she got out from the water before dressing in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. After washing her face and brushing her teeth there was nothing left to do but turn the lights off and climb into the warm comfort of bed. The covers were pulled around her though it was simply not the same without him there. Reminding herself that she had left the house quite dark she stood turning the light in the hallway on before climbing back under the covers though she found herself unable to sleep without knowing if he was alright. With over an hour of laying there she found herself drifting off into a restless sleep. At the sound of a car driving up she did not move though she awoke slightly groggily and instantly felt better that he was now home. It was long past her bedtime and eyes fell closed again before a coherent thought could cross her mind, she knew the minute that he stepped into the room though she would be up like a shot. So when he did her senses caught his movement still lulled by sleep she was on her feet as they hit the hardwood suprisingly quick for how asleep she had been before she backed herself into the corner and realized it was him a heavy sigh was released before returning to sit on the bed.

Steps were quiet, though tired, as the man made his way through the house, climbing thes tares with head drooped slightly. Lids fell shut over depths multiple times along the way, but he always forced them open again. The bed was not far. He could make it there before passing out. As he walked by, hand lifted and turned off the light in the hallway, smiling a bit to himself as he thought about the lass leaving it on for him. It was dark when he walked in the room and despite the fact that his eyes could quickly adjust to such a lack of brillance, gaze did not glance up until he was seated on the end of the matress, bent over to take off his shoes, when the maiden shifted on her side, causing him to look at her. An attempt at a half smile was made, leggings pushing mass to a stand before moving to stand next to her, hand cupping soft cheek as he kissed her. Oh I have so much to tell you. Sorry I've been out so late, but when I explain why, it will make sense. Hand stroked her softly, one on her mocha tinted hair and the other at her side, bodice pressing close. Lips kissed her forehead before he again gave in to his aching limbs and shifted away to undress himself, stripping down till all that was left were his boxers that he normally slept in. Smiling at his lover through the shadows of their bedroom, palms sliding onto her hips to pull her closer for a moment, then urging her onto the matress and beneath the sheets. Frame followed, the warmth of the two shifters mingling beneath the fabric, the male's arms wrapping around the woman to pull her close against him. Kissers press to her face, lids closing as he did so. Contented sigh caused chest to rise and fall, sleep already threatening his ability to comprehend. Forcing eyes open, Erix disterbed his mistress by shifting forward slightly then easing back, gaze looking for hers as facade pulled away. Will you wait for the morning to hear me? Or would you rather me speak now? Lyrics were nearly silent, a bare whisper as they emitted for some strange, undiscoverable reason. He would allow her to make the decision of whether they should sleep yet or not. Although slumber taunted, the lord could withstand his own body's yearning for the while it took to tell her of his night's excitement.

She did not move from her spot as the male entered the room she could tell from the shadow that fell across the lighted path and she knew it was him since she had locked all the doors and he would be the only one besides Damien with a key. Also she would have sensed the unknown presense though the aura that he gave off was familiar and well known, plus if it had been an intruder they might have tried to be a little more stealth then climbing the stairs rather noisily with what looked liked they might be falling asleep. A small chuckle threatened to bubble up through her mouth as she thought of this though no comment was made as he entered the room. Head rested lightly on her pillow glancing in his direction she had fallen into a slumber for a brief while before he had arrived though now she seemed wide awake. He turned the light she had left on for him in the hallway. She was in no mood to speak since all her mind was on was going to bed since he would be there in the morning and she would be much more coherent by then. You never answered my text... I was worried, I didn't know if you were alright. She stated gently and it was clear the worry that had gone through the girl in his absense. He had left with no explaination and he did not even allow her to know if he was alright and it was nearly 5 hours later that he returned. He would be going crazy if she did that to him. He would be really upset though she was not in the mood to argue and was much too tired. As he climbed into bed she did not move. Laying completely still as he kissed her on the forehead and wrapped his arms around her. She did not shrug away though she did believe that she was owed an explaination. Eyes were closed allowing herself to be emerged into the darkness, Cairo had awoken when he entered the room though was back sleeping peacefully in her little bed of an old blanket that Ayrn had set up for the puppy. Morning. She murmered softly in response to the question of whether or not she wanted to talk about what had happened now or later and even though she had felt like it was impossible to fall asleep only moments earlier she fell into a deep and peaceful slumber. She did not remember her dreams when she woke in the morning. Knowing the puppy would probably have to go to the washroom she stepped out of bed with a quick stretch of her arms above her head before plucking the puppy from her cage where she yawned and did the same as her master. She rushed her down the stairs knowing she would not have too much control and placed her on the grass with a sigh of relief of getting her there in time. A small smile crossing her features as she walked back to the door the puppy bounding after her and into the foyer and heading towards the stairs though taking a detour when she spotted Ayrn heading into the kitchen. Cooking a quick morning meal of bacon and eggs and toast she decided it would now be time for the man to wake up. A small smirk crossed her features twisting lips into a playful smirk. Cairo was now mastering the stairs and followed almost at the same speed as Ayrn. Reaching their room she scooped the puppy up in her arms and sat her on the bed and she instantly went to Erix showering him with affectionate licks. She relieved him off the torture a few moments later before settling beside him for a moment. Waiting until his eyes opened to inform him. Breakfast is ready. She stated before walking back in the direction of the kitchen and placing two plates on the table along with the rest of the cutlery.

Hearing her small complaint, mind instantly moved to the phone he had left inside the truck, forgetting about it till even this moment as she reminded him. Guilt instantly began to build inside and a regreating sigh escaped, facade leaning away slightly so mercury pools could meet emerald, forehead resting against forehead. I'm sorry babe. I left my phone in the truck and did not think to check it when I started home. It's still there actually, come to think about it. An apologetic attempt at a half grin offered a sort of entreaty to the lass, knowing that despite the fact that she was allowing him to pull her close now, beneath, his lover was upset and he could not blame her for that. Yes, it was true that he would feel the same had the situation been reversed, but had been too destracted, the natural high of witnessing new life coming to be clouding his already sleep tormented head. Nodding, he yielded to her decision, happily closing his eyes and allowing muscles to relax, fell quickly into a slumber within moments. Strangly, a dream did grace the man that night, most uncharacteristic for such visions to visit a being who was not only weary in body, but also in thoughts. It was a queer illusion of the brain, one set in the forest with the male alone, searching for something yet not knowing what it was. A young girls laughter was caught by his sensitive ears, wolfish senses coming on high alert. It was then he knew this child was what he was scouring the confusing terrain for. A flash of honey hair is seen through the branches and with another spurt of the lass' giggles, limbs are set into motion, covering ground quickly as he dodged in and out of seemingly endless trunks. When he came to a hault again, trees continued to surround him, breath coming out heavily as it rarely did, however, the girl was still no where in sight. Find the river. Head swiveled back and forth then, seeking out the origin of the female voice, feeling as if it were familiar and yet unable to place where he had heard it before. Filling his nostrils with the scent of the wood, the smell of water found its way across the air to meet him. Moving once more, the bloke allowed his senses to direct him, the gurgling of the water growing louder the further south he trodded. Finally, the river became visible through the fresh sprouting vegetation and with it relief flooded his system. Just as his hand moved to pull an arm of growth from his path, reality broke through his haze as damp tissue runs across features, causing shades to lift suddenly and hands to move to guise, finding a furry creature standing halfway on his chest and halfway on his pillow. Laughing, grip wraps gently around the pup's cage, pulling her away from his features as abs flexed to raise torso, setting Cairo on the matress by his thighs and stroking her fondly. Liquids lift to look at Ayrn as she speaks, watching still with the puppy when she strides back out the bedroom door, steps upon the stairs being heard until she reached the living room. With a look towards the pup, he shrugs after meeting the animal's glance and, picking her up, slipped out of the bed and started towards the stairs, allowing the pup to make her own way to the kitchen by setting her upon her own feet at the top of the stairs. He made it to the room just in time to see the maiden finish setting the table. Manovering around her, Erixic gathered the food and set it on the opposite side of the table from where they sat, allowing her to pick what all she wished to eat that morning. He remained quiet while they ate, smiling over at her whenever they would catch one another's eyes. As they finished, hands gathered up the plates and took them to the sink, leaning over to kiss the damsel's temple as he walked by. It was good. Thank you. Broad smile flashed at her before he turned to the task of rising off the dishes, opening the dish washer to place them inside afterward.
