As Cairo licked the man's face she chuckled before exiting the room only to be persued down the stairs. The small dog seeming to have mastered the large staircase already. She was suprised. After returning to the kitchen and setting everything up she grabbed her own plate and paused for a moment deciding what she might want to eat that morning. Placing a couple things on her plate she returned to the table her apetite was not large since she had a large dinner last night. One that she was not going to mention but one that he missed out on. Eyes were then lifted as the sound of footsteps alerted her that he was coming down the stairs. Cairo who had been sitting at her feet leapt up eyeing the door before a small yelp was emitted as he came into vision and she was back behind Ayrn again a playful growl emitted towards Erix until she realized who he was. When she realized it was him she trotted across the tile and nails made clicking noises before she slid to a halt to be petted. Breakfast was eaten moderately quickly since she was really curious what he had been up to the night before though she would not bother him until they were both finished. As her food was finished he seemed to be as well she stood and placed her dish in the dishwasher after him as well as the other dishes used to make the food this morning. So you were going to tell me what you were up to last night? She questioned eye brows raising lightly as she took her seat back down at the table. Palms were folded on the place mat as she leaned back against the back of the chair and eyes drifted to the ceiling for a moment. Her mind was wandering in the time that she waited for his reply. Legs were crossed beneath the table as they were stretched out before her. Well lets talk about this in the hot tub I could use some relaxation. She stood from the seat and jogged up the stairs. Black bathing suit was picked out of a set of drawers in their closet and she changed into it closing the closet door around her. She then smirked as she walked down the stairs. Knowing that she looked appealing as she walked across the kitchen right in front of him. Hips sway with her fluid motion not mauled by injuries any longer. Abdomen was flat and she looked completely fit sunkissed hide encasing well muscled body. She reached the glass door and pulled it open, glad that the little area with the hot tub had a gate and the puppy was able to come out into the small area and jump around and play with a couple of the toys that Ayrn kept stashed in the kitchen and living room her favourite seemed to be a small fluffy red bone that squeaked even though it was clearly the most annoying. The hot was was almost scalding as she stepped into the hot tub just after she pulled the cover off. Waiting for her to join him. Mocha locks were pulled into a tight bun to make sure they did not dangle in the water.

He was still finishing up in the kitchen as the time the male had been waiting for all morning came, the essa telling him with her question that she would no longer wait. Hand reached across the sink and twisted the knob, shutting of the water from the faucet just before figure bent and the last dish was placed in the appliance, arm pulling it upward to close it in a smooth movement as bodice turned to face the maiden, muscles slightly taut. Currently, he was unsure of how his lover was viewing the situation and quite frankly was worried that she, like he himself had done often enough, was in the mind set where she would be angry despite the story told because of his neglect. Erixic was determined to simply bow to her will in this however. There had been too many fights, too many arguements between them lately and he wanted to avoid that especially because the news he brought was really something to rejoice with your mate held close to your body. Lips had parted to release speech, ready to start out at the beginning with the phone call, when the damsel did something rather unexpected by standing up suddenly and suggesting they take themselves to the hot tub. Frame leaned forwards a bit, watching over the bar as the slender vixen jogged up the stairs and disappeared out of sight. Shoulder shrugged as head turned, liquids landing on the young pup still in the kitchen area with him before legs began to carry him away from the room, following the woman's lead. As he reached the landing, she flew down the stairs, already dressed in her bathing suit, and passed him, heading towards the sliding door that opened to their backporch. Crown turned, eyes tracing the fea's movements as long as they could, tongue wetting dried lips without the man knowing. After she disappeared, he then forced himself to start up the stairs, smiling as he dismissed the idea of simply stripping out of his boxers in order to join her. He pulled open the second drawer to his dresser, grabbing the pair of trunks off the top and quickly changed, leaving his discarded pants on the floor. Despite the urge to rush, the bloke moved at a normal pace down the stairs, grinning as he came to the door, pushing it open to let the sunlight hit his skin. Body's surface heated quickly beneath the large star, hands bracing against the side of the hot tube as he jumped into the small pool. Without hesitation, body moved through the water, palms sliding to grab soft sides benaeath the water. The person who called me was an old friend of mine from the days I ran with Max. He actually doesn't live that far from here now and needed my help, although, I went mostly for moral support. John was freaking out because Jullian was having her baby. He paused for a moment, hand lifting to stroke her cheek, remembering their own child they had lost along with all the questions that had come before hand. I stayed till they were both settled enough. Jullian had actually fallen asleep and I doubt John was far behind her. Chuckles escaped after that, a semi-far off look in the drake's silver surfaces for a moment as they directed gaze past the girl and at the foliage in the backyard. Orbs refocused a moment later when a smile pulled at pale kissers, tissues pressing softly to the other's lips. I'll have to take you to meet them and their new little boy sometime. Depths looked directly at emeralds then, diaphram leaning away slightly from Ayrn as he let her mind process what he had told her. He hadn't really told her about his other relationshipss within the group outside of Laina and Max and really the recent reconnection was still astonishing to him, especially the events that had quickly followed. Remembering her text, Erix jumped to try and explain, counterance becoming instantly apologetic. I'm sorry I did not answer your text last night. Like I said, my phone was in the truck and coming home, I was too tired to think much.

As she reached the edge of the hot tub toes was stuck out before her to test the water knowing that the temperature seemed to vary day to day and even though it would hardly bother her in the same way it would a human it seemed like a realistic antic. Assuring herself the heat was up to her standards she only paused to pull long mocha locks up into a pony tail securing them with an elastic that remained around her wrist for the majority of her life, she always knew where it was when it was there. Just another strange quirk of the girl. Once the action was completed she slid into the hollow that formed one of the seats in the hot tub being immersed up to her shoulders. Leaning back against the back head was rested on the hard surface of the side and exhale parted rose kissers briefly emitting carbon into the atmosphere in the form of a misty substance with the difference of temperature between the steaming water and the dewey morning air. Eyes fell closed engulfed in the wonderful feeling of the jets pounding sore muscles in her back. It was almost like having your own personal masseuse. She wondered why it had taken her this long to use the hot tub since they had been back then her thoughts fell on the incident the other night involving her wolven form and the nasty steel trap and she almost was forced to chuckle, it all sounded so ridiculous to her now. Shoulders that usually were tense and rigid were forced to relax as the hot water worked its magic. As the sliding door opened again the male was revealed as stunning as ever. Sure it might have just been a trick to get to see the man shirtless again. That would always be able to cheer her up knowing that she was the only girl that got to lay a hand on him as well as go to sleep knowing that he was right next to her. Though she did not voice this, not yet, she was still waiting for the speech to what he had been up to the night before although it seemed as though it hardly mattered anymore, he was here now and where she might have gotten so worked up earlier in their relationship she did not worry anymore. Knowing he was completely truthful with her, the question still hung in the air through pure curiousity since it must have been something pretty special to keep the man out all evening. He did not even hesitate to jump into the water creating a small splash that caused her to crinkle her nose and turn her head to keep from getting splashed in the face and pools rolled in sockets at the mans antics but soon enough he was right before her palms on her sides and the irristable pull caused her to get back onto her feet and away from the jet. The feeling of even just the slightest touch causing a small reddish tinge to crawl to her cheeks, even after all the time they had been together and a tingling feeling where his hands were placed. She hoped this sensation would never go away. Her mind was elsewhere until he started to talk, telling her about his adventure. She recognized the name Max since Erix had told her much about him when explaining his past though he had not mentioned the fact that he had any friends left in the group nor that they lived so close. Of course he did not know that she knew exactly where they lived but she nodded along with the story willing him to continue. The next words really seemed to hit home though, the couple was having their baby. A pang of sadness struck deep within the pitt of her stomach causing insides to churn. She forced herself to stay composed though at the thought that they would have just about or already had their child by now. From back in Hitari. At first to her it had seemed like such a horror I mean who manags to get pregnant that soon in a relationship and when they were fighting the way they did it seemed as though it was a nightmare instead of a blessing. But as time had gone on and she had calmed from the initial shell shock she had found herself excited and counting the days before the little one would have arrive only to be shocked once again when the miscarriage happened. The doctor had told her that it was common with shifters and that there was nothing to worry about and that it was not her fault though she knew that she could and should have done a lot more to ensure that it would not have happened. There was a lot of stress in that time and she knew that was a large contributing factor. Palm lifted to stroke her cheek though she was much too overwhelmed with emotions to speak or react in any sort of manner. Face was turned away from him as ivories clamp rather harshly on her bottom lip pleaing to not give in to the temptation of emotions. Luckily it took her only a moment to compose herself and plaster a half hearted attempt at a smile on her face. Yah, I would like that. She said in response to him offering to take her there to meet them and their new baby boy, she did not know if she would be capable of this though since it was all just too soon for her since she was still upset over losing their child. Though she kept the calm and collected expression masked on gentle features as she stood there. Moving forward to rest her head on his chest. Anyone would be damn lucky to have a friend like you. Vocals were soft and reaching out towards the male, he cared so much for other people, who else would have done what he had. He then turned to respond about the text. He turned apologetic. Don't worry about it, I was just worried. She stated quietly with a small lingering smile placed on rose kissers as shoulders drag her slightly back to meet his eyes. She shivered at the amount of flesh that remained above the water and moved back to her seat. Palm reaching out to grasp his and pull him in that direction too with a devious smirk. As she settled into the hollow once again knees were pulled to her chest chin resting on the top of them. Though this playful manner was quickly interupted as her phone vibrated causing it to skitter dangerously across the top of the table just outside the door. Brow was raised as she leapt from the warm confines of the hot tub gracefully landing on the bottom step with hand resting on the ceramic of the hot tub. Pushing off it she reached the phone in record time knowing that it would be something important because people knew not to phone of text her at this time unless it was a telemarketer. Then they would get an earful. Damien knew this was the usual time she was jogging or doing whatever and he was one of the only ones that would be texting her. Hands were dried on a towel by the edge of the door not wanting to drench her phone more then she needed to she had already had to replace the device several times with the torture it went through. Seeing it was from Damien she quickly scrolled to where she was able to read it expecting something to be really wrong but as words were read over on the tiny screen she had to do a double take, freezing to the spot that she was in. As if this morning had not been eventful enough. She turned back to Erix with curiousity. Did you know that Laina was back around here? She asked it was not in an accusing manner though because she no longer felt completely threatened by the girl she was just wondering if Laina had tried to reach Erix. It was not common for Damien to text her something like this he was usually the type that she would meet for coffee to talk in person so he was obviously very scared for her reaction or just could not take the pressure of keeping it from her any longer. She could not help the chuckle that bubbled forth, even though she was not pleased about the news she could imagine the terrified look on Damien's face as he had typed the message out. She returned to the hot tub after typing out a small reply. Of course we will meet you for dinner sometime, the past is the past. Had she been in the same situation she would have expected him to be understanding and embrace giving the person a chance. Shivering she ducked beneath the warm water and spoke words that would perhaps shock the male. So, Damien met Laina, and apparently they have been hanging out since. She did not think of another way to word it since it really did not say in the text what they were so she did not want to jump the gun and say they were a couple when it was not the fact though she did know that the two had been spending a lot of time together. She waited to see how Erix would take this. Would he be mad? Would he laugh it off like she had telling himself that it did not matter since he was in a serious relationship now? Damien knew all about the girl since she had been the one to confide with him about the whole situation in Hitari so he would understand slightly abit of the history but she could not help but feel slightly protective over him knowing this was one of the only girls to have lasted in his radar for over a day. It was rare that he allowed himself to open up and she simply did not want to have to watch the pain and suffering and help him pick up the pieces if they happened to get serious and she did something like what she did with Erix. She did not want to have to watch him go back to the reclusive stage he had after the other girlfriend he had dumped him. She was also then curious how serious they were. Were they just friends? She doubted it by the dumb smile on Damien's face when they had lunch together a couple days ago. There was something more there and truly she was happy for him but did it really have to be with her boyfriends ex? She then convinced herself that it did not matter. She knew that Laina would feel just as awkward as herself when they finally went out together. Who knows maybe they would become best friends. She almost laughed in more places then her head at this thought imagining what that might be like for Erix. Talk about the past coming back to haunt you. She would forgive Laina for the day at Hitari since she had not been aware that Erix was in a serious relationship to her knowledge and they could move past this, that was the first step. She also guessed that this would be a test to see if there truly was any underlying feelings that Erix had toward her. She was sure that she had seen the same expression indicating it when they were in Hitari and that made her feel scared and vulnerable like she was losing him. Though this would be the real test. If he could look at her and be civil while she was out with Damien that would put the girls silly thoughts on hold and make her give up the worry once and for all. Though just imagining the blonde beauty made her feel sick to her stomach with worry. Of course she was able to capture any man's heart. Palms were folded together as gaze was then lifted to land on Erix once again. It was all seeming like too much her past was coming back to haunt her as well. The fact that she lost the baby as well as now Laina deciding to waltz her way back into her life in the form of her best friend's girlfriend. Karmas a bitch, if so what did she do to deserve all this? She wondered this for a moment before standing up showing Erix her mind was no longer on the text she had recieved. Sultry emerald voids met his locking on his vision breath catching in her throat for the moment of anticipation before space between them was subtracted. Hips were pressed gently against his knowing the touch would take his mind off anything lingering. Torso touching in several different places with the lack of space between them, the heat not only radiated from the hot tub but from the male in front of her as well. Enveloped in what seemed like a warm blanket. Ankles flexed as she stood on her tip toes to reach relative height with him. Single arm wrapping around his neck the other trailing along his spine to join the other one as fingers were locked behind his head with a small grin reaching features reflected in already sparkling emerald vision. Every emotion she felt towards him was portrayed love, trust, affection, physical attraction all played clearly on gentle facial features. A sense of vulnerability that only he would be priviledged enough to see. How would she know that that one fall day in the forest would change her life so dramatically. She remembered waking up that morning and the day feeling no different then any other in her mind. Then something triggered the anger that had shot through her and sudden need to get rid of the blasted pendant that hung around her neck making her feel trapped and under the spell of a false hope that Dillon would ever have been normal and had the same love for her as she had for him at one point in time. It was a ridiculous thought really. And then she met Erixic. How the two wolven shifters had never met after living in the same town she would never know, perhaps it had been her elusive lifestyle staying away from the crowded areas. When she first had met him she had always wondered, was it the wolves that had pulled them so close so fast, was it just the fact that they were both shifters that caused them to be so compatible. No, she truly did not believe this anymore. They were just two people, in love. Just Ayrn and Erixic, nothing more. She believed it truly had not mattered what they were it was simply meant to be. He caused emotions in her that she never thought possible. Brought back to reality chin was tilted at an upward angle bringing lips to his gently the tender sensation rushing through her. Eyes were closed before pulling back to be left speechless. What would become of them? Well that was a question better left answered by fate. What happened would happen she was not about to ask a bunch of questions rushing into anything that might not be appropriate for the time. She would simply find the maturity to take a step back and allow the relationship to maintain whatever pace seemed to fit, the only time they had problems was when she told him it seemed as though their relationship was spinning out of control and running at a hundred miles an hour.

A pang of sadness stuck heartcords as the fatal turned her facade away from him, obviously trying to hide the pain that had resurfaced at the subject of childern. Instantly, Erixic kicked himself mentaly. He had been naive to think the news of another couple's gift would bring her the happiness he had wanted to share. To him, John and Jullian's situation had been like a beacon of light, showing him that the questions they all had did not have to go unanswered anylonger. Through his friends, the bloke had hoped to learn about the changes that occured in an young shifter's life. Were they born human? Could they be born in their alternate form? Did they ever change when they were younger? Would it be more natural for them when they were raised by parents that knew and understood? What sort of cravings did the mother go through? Were they anything out of the ordinary? This selfish ambition for the knowledge he lacked had blinded him; kept him safe from the hurt both of them had struggled through many months and many miles ago. The miscarriage hadn't effected him as strongly as it had Ayrn, however. He knew that although she realized it was not her fault, part of her still blamed herself. He wished she would blame him instead. It would be better than having to live with the guilt that was not earned. There had been too much stress, too much drama in their lives. Would it really have been better to bring a baby into that kind of relationship? As a couple, they had gotten more stable recently and even though Erix knew it had been a tragedy to loose their unborn child when they did, he felt as if it were better that they did not have a child to be in charge of as of now. Silver voids searched emeralds as they turned back to look at him, palm now fully supportive of her cheek, fingers curved around her neck. It was easy to tell the smile was forced, but he could not tell if she had told him she would love to simply to make him happy or if she really ment it. Ayrn I... You don't have to if you don't want to. It's still too soon. I should have thought. Arms encircle her in a hug as she leans her head upon his chest, words bringing a smile to his lips. Thank you. Lips hover beside her ear as he whispers, orbs bright when she leans away to meet his gaze. Head tilted with curiousity as she pulled his arm with her towards the hot tub's edge, but before it could be satisfied, the sound of vibrations caught his attention. Frowning, the baron turned to look in the direction of the noise and seeing the girl's phone moving upon the table, started to turn back and look her way when she stood and passed by him to answer whatever it was. For a long moment, he watched as she dried off her hands, but, seeing that she was going to take the time to answer, frame spun and sank into the warm water, a pleased sigh escaping forth from the man's parted lips as he leaned his head back, neck going limp as the ceramic edge pressed against tense muscles found there. The heat, the jets, the quiet: it all lulled him into an immobile state close to that of slumber, yet his senses were in perfect working order. Femine tones broke through this haze of peace with her question, lids lifting quickly from surfaces and body becoming rigid, neck flexing as it lifted his head. Guarded liquids surveyed the essa for a moment, trying to read what her reaction was before releasing himself to formulate his own. Memory surved him well when it came to his lover and he knew the last time Laina had been around the fea had been far from civil. For this, he did not blame her, after all, it had been mostly a situation of his own creation, but he had become further warry of the subject of his ex since. Seeing her chuckle, the drake concluded with surprise that the dame had simply been asking out of curiosity. Muscles relaxed a bit then, pair watching as she hurriedly typed a text in her phone and sent it before turning back to him. No. I haven't seen or heard from her since we ran into each other at Hitari. Paitently, he waited for the explanation to come, reining in the questions that threatened to fly from his mouth the moment he opened it. Brows lifted in estonishment as she mentioned Damien and Laina together, but not in those particular words. Chuckling a little, he fought the urge to pull her close, satisfying himself by leaning back, arms streached out across the lip of the tub, and grinning at her playfully. Hanging out? From what you've told me of your friend, from what I saw of him myself, and also from what I know of Laina, I don't think those two words do them justice. Deep laughter emits again, dome shaking in slight disbelief and awe at the recent news. Crown shook also because of his amazement with himself. Any thought, any hint of his ex-lover had always sent the carnal side of him into alert status, but right then, the wolf remained dormant. It was new to him, but not unwelcome. Over the past years, he had grown tired of being a slave to his past. Tired of yearning for something he had lost and tired of knowing he would never be fully satisfied or completely happy if he gave in to the wants of his body. He and Laina had been together for a while and not just as a couple, but also in the sense that they hardly ever spent any time away from one another. Because of this, leaving her and staying away had been harder for the lord than he had ever thought it would be. It didn't matter that he knew his decision had been the right one, at times, weak times, all he wanted was to have her with him again. His other half had not helped with the healing process either. The wolf still believed Laina his and could not understand the reasoning behind the human's action of abandoning her in the open with so many other males around. Thankfully, by the time he had met Ayrn, his thoughts of the past came at less frequent intervals and he was finally free to be himself and find himself. The green eyed girl had been the best thing to ever happen to him. She was so different from what he was used to with Laina that it turned out she was exacally what he had needed all along. Her loved had cured him of his sickness and turned the beast within to a loyal companion, all possiveness for past mates forgotten. Erix glanced up and just then met Ayrn's eyes, stature freezing as nostrils quivered at what he found there. Still unable to move, he kept stones glued to her while she came closer, the physical contact jolting him out of the state and hands went swiftly to her hips, keeping her close yet pulling her away at the same time as he stood from his seated position. Sudden cold bursts of breeze that danced along his skin were ignored, dermis shivering not because of the temperature outside, but because of her. Palm stroked upward along her back to press her closer when their lips met, the other moving down the curve of her buttocks to the backside of her thigh. In a rather jerky motion, arm tugged on her leg till it was level with his hip, a low disgruntled growl revibrating throughout his chest torso. Hungry for her kiss again, he quickly sought them out, kissers rather rough as he lifted her remaining foot from the ground and turned till her back was braced against the hot tub's side. Hand moved from her back to support his weight, resting against the smooth fiberglass edge as mass leaned over the vixen. Breaking away from his kiss, Erixic settled a little, face burying itself in the crook of her neck while bicep relaxed and let her leg fall from the height where he had held it. Dear god woman. Vocals breathed against her skin, nuzzling her soft flesh afterwards. Pulling away, mercury surfaces searched out hers, locking on with an intense gleam to them. Last night really made me think. I want us to try again and have a baby. I want it and you so bad right now I can hardly taste it. Tell me to slow down, Ayrn. Tell me we aren't ready yet. Don't let me take shortcuts anymore. Tell me you want me to marry you. Throat constricted at the last, mask consumed with anticipation. He had been thinking about it for a little while now, marriage, but kept putting off talking with her about it because it was too soon. The restraints of time had concerned him the most here recently, this he realized. Why did it matter? Why must they wait when everything felt so right? Were they not stronger together now than they had been in the past? Depending on what the lady said next, these questions would either have answers, or they would be tossed out the window.

She knew that she had to get over this, she needed to forget that their unborn child ever existed she needed to look at the situation like she had many others, if it was not meant to be it would not happen. It was not a good time for them and it was neither of their faults. It was not his fault for their fighting nor was it her fault for losing the child and the fighting, this was the only time that she truly had thought their relationship was over and it had seemed it. The only time she had broken down and prayed to a higher being no matter what or who it might be. Being away from him had truly been a test of stubborness and many times she had wanted to walk back to the house they had shared in Hitari and just admit defeat tell him she did not want to fight anymore but yet she couldn't she needed to make sure that when she finally went back that the fight was resolved and could be completely forgotten and sure it had taken a little time but in the end it was for the best and sure they had a few hard times since then but never did they leave eachothers presence proving that they could virtually work throug anything. In the time they had been a couple they had gone through much more then a married couple would ever go through. In that aspect their relationship was that of an old married couple. This was over now though and they had been practically attached at the hip since. The feeling of bliss that washed over her in his presence was a sensation that could not be rivalled. Her mind then turned to his words about it being too soon. Of course he had noticed the look that had briefly crossed her face when she mentioned the other's child. No it is not too soon, I would love to meet them and their little one. She spoke fondly referring to the shifter couple and their kid. She would love to meet someone that was so close to the man. Anyone close to him was just as special to her. She chuckled when he mentioned that he doubted that Laina and Damien were just hanging out. She knew Damien well though and the star struck look that had been plastered on his face the other day was a tell tale sign of something special. She now understood why he refused to tell her who it was and any details about her. She could only imagine the expression that had crossed Damiens face when he had realized that this was the same Laina that Ayrn had spoke of. I don't know. They might suprise us. I guess we shall see with time. She was not willing to write the event of as a meaningless fling that Damien was used to since she had seen a glimmer of something that never had been brought forth before. Not even with the ex girlfriend who she had met when she had been living at his place in the hotel. She was unsure what to think of it though she promised herself that if they did end up meeting that she would be on her best behaviour and give Laina the benefit of the doubt and a clean slate. No use dwelling on the past though. If they are happy I am happy. Sure this did not sound like that insanely jealous Ayrn that had been present when they were in Hitari but she had changed a lot since then realizing that Erix was not going anywhere. She dropped the thoughts though as soon as she was pulled into a passionate kiss. Breath was caught in her throat as knees felt slightly weak though he pulled her leg up to his hip steadying her on her feet before pressing her back against the hot tub. Glad that the tub was placed so that neither neighbour would be able to see into it with the lattice that enclosed it. The intense gleam within his eyes catching her slightly off gaurd and causing a shiver to run along her spine and bumps to form on exposed skin though it was not from the cold. She was glad for the slight breeze cooling the heat radiating off her body. Hips were pressed against him as palms remain on the tender flesh there. A soft moan escaped her lips as he suddenly then seemed to grab a hold of himself. Still braced overtop of her his face was buried in her neck and breath was released from the grasps that had held it. Releasing the tension that he had caused. In a good way.The lusty vocals were spoken and she provided a playful smile, for she was feeling the exact same thing towards him. Her neck tingled where his breath could be felt along the skin there. He pulled back briefly to meet her eyes. The burning desire still remained there and it was almost like a magnetic pull drew her to him willing her to kiss him again though there was something that made her pause realizing he was about to speak. The next words came as a little shock to her. Was he serious about this all? She knew Erix though and knew that if he was not serious he would have plainly not said it. There was no mind games involved in the male. When he told her that he wanted them to try again to have a child she felt a stem of nervousness crawl into her stomach though it was excited nervousness knowing that they both would be loving and stable parents providing everything that the child would need. Including information that neither of them had grown up having. Perhaps the childs life would be rare for a shifter growing up with such understanding parents to let them know what they were when the changes started to happen. She wished that she could have had the same privelege remembering the fear and terror of the changes. She was only 13 when she sat in class just like everyday. Tapping her pencil against the side of the desk the sound echoed through the classroom and through her mind as well. Her senses were strong today, this was the first thing that she noticed. She could smell the classmates lunch in front of her as if it was open on her desk, she could smell the child's body odour at the back of the room. There was no way that this was normal. The pencil now sounded so loud in her head and was causing it to ache. She slammed the pencil on the desk and looked back to the board trying to focus on what the teacher was saying, something about allgebra with equations written all over the board. She was called on for a question and she was unable to answer and the teacher started to scold her and it was then that it happened. The anger struck through her like nothing she had ever felt in her lifetime. White hot pain searing through her entire body. The shift was luckily not full before she fell to the ground knocked completely out cold. How she then ended up in a bed in Dillon's residence was unknown but that is where she woke. Everything had been dealt with and after a month of being trained to control these transitions she had returned to school as if nothing had happened. No one knew. She did not understand this. The next words were processed. She wanted the same of what he spoke. But she did not want to try for a child, it would happen on its own, that was the best way. It went along with her way of believing and not before the couple was married. She resorted back to her beliefs. If I told you that I wanted you to slow down it would be a lie. Sultry words were spoke close to his ear as tones were low and hot breath would be on his neck. I want to marry you and I want nothing more then to have a child with you, after we are married, intentionally this time. She wanted their life to be everything that a normal couple had and marriage was something they had never talked about she assumed that he was just not ready and not sure enough of his feelings or the sturdiness in their relationship but she had never pushed the subject therefore making him nervous with anticipation as they spoke. She moved to sit on the edge of the hot tub pulling him towards her enjoying that from where she sat they were the same height and she was able to meet his eyes. The eyes she could get lost in and feel as though time was not even passing, she could stay here forever and never wish for more. As he came closer to her legs were pressed around his waist gently as arms were wrapped around him body still remaining at enough of a distance to meet his gaze. Emeralds reflected nothing but love and admiration for the man. Butterflies that felt as though they were 200 pounds each danced in her stomach and seemed as though they were doing back flips. Would this mean that he was going to ask her to marry him? What would come after this? She was unsure of how serious this chat was, was he just trying to find out what she wanted from him? She did not truly care about whether or not they were married since that was nothing but official and when she knew the kind of love they were both experiencing nothing else seemed to matter. Ruining the moment was the puppy standing at the door claws running along the glass and creating a noise that was similiar to that of nails screeching along a chalkboard. She stood knowing that if it was not dealt with that it would just continue until the hairs on the back of her neck stood up on end. The door was slid open allowing the pup to romp in the area of the hot tub. She was unable to jump in so the female felt quite at ease when the puppy seemed to just want to be around them and curled up in the corner watching them both. Palm ran along the puppies sleek coat before returning to Erix. Stepping into the steaming water and returning to the side she had been sitting wrapping arms back around his neck. Fingers moved to his shoulders rubbing the tension from the rigid muscles that lay there knowing he would enjoy it and waiting for the words that he would speak next. She thought back to meeting his parents. They would be ecstatic at the news if this all went through and could already see the cheery couples face.

Every second passed by slowly for the male. Like a frozen lake in the dead of winter does an anticipating teenager, time teased Erixic: tantalizing him till his heart raced with the suspense. Oxygen filled lungs as the fea leaned closer, the words emitted into his ear haulting the knock knock of his life's organ upon the cage of his ribs. There was no hesitation in the smile that spread broadly across features, mylin releasing the actin within diaphram as it expanded, the man leaning away to gaze down with no reserves at the sublime embodiment of the woman that could love him most of every breathing entity. No shock hit him at her reply. Instead, the syllables seemed to fit perfectly into the situation like the missing piece to a jigsaw puzzle. Of coarse, when he had asked her to make him slow down, his thoughts differed from what the essa believed he was thinking of. It wasn't the speed or the abruptness of the decision which worried him, but the conditions surrounding it. She had once told him they could not continue at the break-neck pace their relationship had been consitantly maintaining, but it seemed that was all either of them could do. He craved the rush of every second that blew past and even though it was not healthy for them as a couple, it was nearly impossible for him to stop. Partly, the arrogance that inserted its poisonous thorn into him then as he found no reason to slow it down was to blame. More pleasure had come to his life within the short span of time period he had been with Ayrn and he could tell her desire was not lacking either. Also, he had grown accustomed to the pace which his life kept and by the time he realized they were spiraling out of control, he did not know how to stop it. Luckily, the maiden had played an important role in aiding to regain their grasp. Because of her, the baron reined his aspirations in and finally began to settle for what he had, enjoying the time and the company once more. Now, the partnership was not accelerating so fast as it had once been, but both of them understood what they wanted and the risk was therefore bypassed. It was not the need to slow down their relationship which the drake was pleading for, but rather the obligation that suddenly occured to him which was due to both the lady and himself. To curb his yearnings by impregnating her again without so much as a commentment in return would be too selfish and too disrespecting for his pride to endure. He knew only she could coax him into the decision which he had already begun to contemplate many weeks ago. Unwarrented worries alongside crazed uncertainty had kept cords silent when it came to the subject of marriage and her complete agreement set his heart free from the restraints that had been inadvertantly placed upon it. Chuckles escaped as limbs wrapped around his waist, chaining him even more solidly to his lover through the entanglments she easy cast upon him without knowing it. Hand cuped her cheek and face leaned in to kiss her, but the unexpected, heinous sound of the pup's claws upon the glass face of the sliding door interrupted the moment, causing the drake to jerk back in a jerk reaction to the pain he felt within his ears, one hand lifting to cover the lobe closest to the house. A disgruntled look is shot in the dog's direction and body moves, giving his companion plently of space to quit the hot tub and allow their newest addition to the house access to the pourch. Hot glare followed the animal as she made her way to the corner edge, the wolf beneath barely contained in it's urge to growl in chastisement of the younger of its universal genus. Taking a controlled deep breath, Erix forced the anger to slip away, attention returning to his mate as she rejoined him and quickly set out to return them to where they were before they had been disturbed. A drawn out satisfied groan was released while warm hands molded against the tough rock of his muscle, lids inadvertantly closing. Built up strains seeped from the folds of the muscles and through the layer of skin to exit the shifter's frame entirely, making him all the more grateful to the lass who stood before him. Hands lifted to grip hips, pulling her far too close for the massage to be continued, a side effect he was overly happy to accept for the flip side. Mercury depths re-exposed themselves then, the favored crooked grin playing upon lips. A long kiss was pressed to the damsel's mouth, but he drew away without much regret to deliver sweet little kisses all along the side of her face like a puppy might its beloved owner. Smiling both to himself and the vixen, Erixic drew himself up to his full height, chin dipping downward a little as he stared down adoringly into Ayrn's counterace, irises running over every dip, curve, and plane found there. Suddenly, the idea struck him and without warning, he pulled away and lept out of the water, walking towards the house and disappearing into its mass. He grabbed a towel quickly to wrap around his waist in order to decrease the amount of water dripping onto the flooring inside as much as possible and headed up the stairs, moving to his closet where he started to rummage through boxes stacked at the back. Finally, he found the one he was looking for and opened it, beaming down into its contents as he paused for a moment. He was reminded after the hault in progress of the urgancy that filled his being and without further adeu took what he wanted from it and placed it back into the depths of the closet. Back down stairs, he walked through the doorway he had left open and slid the door closed behind him as he came back out onto the porch. With one hand, he untucked the corner of the towel from the waist wrap and pulled it away from his legs easily, dropping onto the ground without really caring where it went. Grinning, tissues were warmed once more by the liquid as he came back into the jacuzzi, carrying the little box in a half-hearted sneaky way behind his back. Once in front of her, he pulled it out till she could see it, watching beautiful features as he did so, feeling oddly anxious although she already knew this was coming. I would get on one knee like I'm supposed to, but I think you would prefer it if I could talk rather than drown. He laughed a little, but that quickly faded as he cracked open the little black felt covered box, unveiling a ring with a generous oval shaped stone flanked by two much smaller diamond shaped diamonds in a silver setting. Eyes lifted from the engagement ring to look back at the essa, cavity filling with excitement as the tension built up within him. Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?

He seemed to be impossibly nervous, what had ever made him this way? Nervousness was not something that the man was known for. Sure he had a quick temper on some different matters and he sometimes seemed to be over protective and antsy but nervous about something the girl might say or do never seemed to cross his mind. Did the single word marriage change the man so much? Ripping his confidence out from under him as if it was a carpet. He still spoke about their relationship having been so short yet when you looked back in time it seemed as if it had been longer though the time that had passed was not all that short. It was an illusion created by the enjoyment they had for every moment that passed together. Sometimes it felt as though it had been a century and other times it felt as though it had been nothing more then a flash of light, a glimpse into the future where nothing would have changed, they would be the same two people drawn together by their love for one another. What would become of them in ten years? She was sure that they would still be together since she could not doubt the attraction she felt for the male on every level. They were drawn together in both forms, the wolven form seeming to close the deal making them inseperable. When a wolf mates, they mate for life, none of this breaking up and divorcing that humans do. In the animal kingdom the only thing that parted two lovers was death. Although nothing was offical she could not help but feel as if they were already pretty much pledged to one another. They lived under the same roof, shared assets and pretty much remained glue to oned anothers sides at all times, that was more of a testament that any legal document could hope to test. As soon as she told him that she wanted to marry him he seemed to chuckle releasing the tension in which had held his body. The sudden change was a relaxing one for her. At least her answer did not seem to harbour any shocked feelings in the man. He seemed as though he had expected her to say something to that extent. He groaned as she continued the massage only for her to be pulled too close to him and forced to stop. He did not seem to mind since now their bodies were pressed together heat radiating through the two of them repelling the water that sunk back into the hot tub. The accelerated body heat giving the illusion of desire, although that was starting to surface already as well. It amazed her that as soon as she had let Cairo onto the porch that she was able to return to the sultry position as if nothing had even been disrupted although her mind never lifted from the embrace even on the frigid walk to the door. He only remained with her for a matter of moments before he turned hopping nimbly from the water and heading towards the door. She restrained the urge to follow him brow raising slightly with interest in where he was going. Was he abandoning her here? Had this all been too much for him to handle? Uneasy thoughts then flickered through the pitts of her stomach. She was able to hear him walking up the stairs to their room and she was becoming more and more curious and suspicious until he then returned as if it had been nothing. The towel was discarded in a hapazard manner as he seemed to run in her direction dropping into the hot tub. He held his arms behind his back harbouring something. And then it all clicked for her and she was unable to open her mouth as the gorgeous ring was shown to her. A breath taking smile crossing features upturned at corners to show perfectly alligned ivories. The expression in emerald pools were gentle and tender and sparkled as she met his eyes. The joking tone in his voice emitted as he told her that he would get on one knee and purpose if he would not drown in doing so was not carried over to his eyes since she was able to see just how serious he really was and that flared the inner workings to desire the male even more so. There had never been a time that she had seen him more serious and she had to fight back tears of utter bliss that began trickling along her cheeks. She had never thought that this day would come and yet here she was so ready for this to happen and being engaged to the man that she never could have imagined being with. She then realized she had been so overcome with emotion that she had just stood there reeling with excitement and playing the words through her mind over and over again. Of course. She stated gently the only words she managed to mutter unsure of what would happen now. She could not wait to tell the news to Damien knowing that he would be ecstatic with the news and he would break down just as much as she was right now. So overwhelmed with everything that was happening. It was completely the right time though. The puppy was curled up in the corner of the deck by the door and looked so peaceful just sleeping there, she had worn the dog out this morning before Erix had gotten up by playing on the front lawn with a ball, even though the animal was so young she seemed to grasp the idea quickly and had even brought the ball back in the hourse with her not wanting to place it anywhere and take it with her everywhere. This news seemed to be a perfect cause for a celebration. She also knew that his parents would be even more ecstatic since when they had been driven back from the airport they had been questioning the male on when they would be getting married. Now at least they were one step closer. As every girl did she had fantasies of her dream wedding. Now she would get to plan this. A broad smile crossed her beaming features. I guess you better be calling your parents and telling them the news. She stated gently but instead of allowing him out to do this she captured him as arms wrapped around him and pulled him close. Legs wrapping around his waist and lips met his with a force of assertiveness that previous had not be managed by the girl. A confidence that she knew he found appealing since when they first met she had been so quiet and shy.

The stillness that of the early afternoon was a surprising aspect of the moment. None of the neighbors stirred; nor did any of the usual pesty creatures who favored sampling human blood to that of other beasts. Even the lively Cairo had continued to lay quietly on the corner of the patio although it was certain that the young pup was usually bursting with energy. Both were far too busy with one another. It was as if the atmosphere surrounding the couple had sensed what was transpiring and, in consequence, had hushed all the expected clatter to deteriorate any sort of distraction for the two. The only sound which came to the male's ears as he stood paitently awaiting his lover's official answer was the calm gurgling of the water caused by the jets which were turned to their lowest setting. Silver gaze held steady, seeing the liquid start to build up within his lover's eyes only seconds before they began to spill over the brim of sockets. A soft smile tugged at one side of kissers, one hand lifting to cup the woman's smooth, tanned cheek while thumb wipped at the droplets that rolled along beside the line of her nose. Normally, tears made the baron cringe which adversion and a quick guilt to weigh down his stomach no matter the source of such a reaction, but because he knew that she cried out of joy and not sadness, the way he viewed the whole situation had changed. Laughter escaped as the lady finally seemed to realize that she had yet to give him an answer and blurted it out, her lover placing a quick kiss on her forehead as he was unable to resist. It all just seemed so perfect and he felt as if he could not love her more than he ever had right then. Taking the ring from the spot where it was stuck firmly in the velvet covered foam, the box was tossed onto the table a few feet away above them on the porch. Without hesitation, Erix took Ayrn's hand and slipped the jewery onto her left ring finger, grinning even more broadly as it fit her size just as he had hoped it would. Shaking his head, chuckles escaped as the maiden instantly brought up telling his parents, the news obviously too much for her to feel like she can contain. He could not wait to tell everyone he knew either, but did not find the urge to inform the world too pressing as of yet. Devilish look crosses features as the vixen seems to read his mind, long, slender limbs encasing his waist and neck as easily as if they were designed to be there. Kissers remained in that same smiling position even as the essa kissed him, the duke unable to be rid of the expression despite his weak attempts and the girl's persuasive actions. His mind kept thinking about the young dog laying only a few yards from them. Laughing at the thought of Ayrn's present seeing them intimate, he forced himself to pull away, an apologetic guise upon features as he wondered how perplexed the fea would be at the unexpected reaction he had given her. I'm sorry. I keep thinking about the damn dog being right over there. Exhasperated, he allows his forehead to fall and rest against her bare shoulder, feeling her collar bone cut across the middle. After a moment, figure straightens again, hands upon her waist tightening slightly as pools move to meet emeralds. Let go of me for a minute. Climbing out of the hot tub, he kept his fingers wrapped around her extremity, pulling her along with him. He smiled down at the puppy as they passed, pulling open the door quietly before directing her to enter in front of him. Managing to sneak in without their addition to the family waking up, he shut the sliding glass frame once again and grabbed a towel, wrapping it around her as he started to dry her off. Once it seemed like she was at least semi-dry, Erixic used the towel on himself, not bothering to spend more than a few minutes at the task. The piece of fabric was tossed away as he finished, smug look directing towards the woman. Palms slid to her hips, pulling her close only to switch around their positions, supporting the small of her back while tugging one thigh up to the level of his hip. I think this is better. Husky vocals speak just before lips met, pressing tightly against her as he allowed his desire to flow freely with the innocent eyes no longer present.

Everything was going right. It was like driving down the road in the middle of the night and having all the lights turn green, at least that was one of her favourite past times that seemed mildly comparable though she knew there was truly nothing that would rival the feelings that were overwhelming her right now. She could not help but feel vulnerable, there was no way that all this would be able to last was there? Marriage was something that usually made her nervous and cringe away from the subject but with Erix is seemed nothing but natural. She almost felt as though she was normal. It was a little strange that none of her neighbours seemed to be up yet, or perhaps they had already gone from their houses and gone to work although it was a little strange that the old couple next door did not seem to have moved this morning. She did not think too much of it being as caught in the moment as she was. His thumb found its way to her face wiping the tears that she fought off so hard. Not wanting to look like a wimp. The ring was slipped onto the appropriate finger and looked perfect there. Brow was raised as he seemed to have his mind elsewhere and he made the comment about the dog being in such close proximity a small chuckle was released as neck craned to spot Cairo sleeping peacefully on the corner of the porch, the porch was completely fenced, enough to keep the pup within the area. His forehead clashed with her collarbone and a small sigh parted rose kissers. Eyes rolling slightly in their sockets though she did not protest when he asked her to let go of him for a moment and he climbed from the hot tub leading her in the direction of the house. The towel was swiped over bodies though it was hardly needed with the heat that radiated off her frame. The yearning and desire was almost too much to bear and thigh was pulled to his hip. Eyes were lost within his gaze noting the change in his own optics and she was sure that hers mirrored it. Though her focus was elsewhere, a crash deterring her thoughts once more and there was no way that she could remain there with him. I will be back in a moment. She stated softly. A pair of sweat pants were pulled on by the door and a long sleeved shirt over top not caring that her wet bathing suit caused the fabric to stick to her making every curve of her completely known to whoever might spot her. Shoes were shoved on her feet haphazardly and she was out the door long before he would even know what was going on. She could not fight the sinking feeling that settled in the pitt of her stomach, a dreaded feeling. Reaching their front porch, there were no lights on, knowing the older couple were early risers this made her stomach drop even more so. Scanning the road she noticed an unrecognized car a few driveways up, which was not rare though it was all she needed to confirm her beliefs. Somehow in her jogging over here she had forgotten her cell phone though there was no time for her to return for it now. Stepping into the top step she crouched so that she would be be seen through the window. Clattering continued inside, the door was unlocked, another clear indication something was askew. Slipping the door open she cringed at the loud squeak it released. Pupils adjusted easily to the darkness though and she managed to slip the door closed before ducking into the large closet that held coats, she was sure that the intruders would be able to hear her heart beat as it pounded wildly in her ears. So far no sign of anything, she stepped from where the darkness cloaked her making her way to the kitchen, she knew there was a cordless phone there and she could use it to call the police. When she arrived in the tiled floor what was waiting for her was a shock, the older man lay on the floor in a pool of his own blood. Rolling him over he was still breathing though unconcious at least until she made her way to the phone dialling the number of the police and awaiting for them to answer as she crouched behind the kitchen counter out of sight. Whispering softly she gave the address to the house and was cut off as a throaty yell was emitted, of course the man chose now to wake up and start yelling. She managed to place the phone back on the stand as someone came down the stairs. Seeing the man on the floor in the opposite way that they had obviously left him, she leaned back on her heels taking a couple steps backwards only to come into contact with a second intruder and barely being able to supress the yelp of fear that overtook her. The other was busy with dragging the man towards the front door and that was all she was able to take. Anger and adrenaline in a deadly cocktail streamed through her body all senses were instantly heightened though she was unable to focus her mind enough to keep from shifting. Pain surged through her shoulder as something blunt hit her with such force it knocked her to her knees and that was all that she was able to take. As she lay on the floor she felt ligaments begin to shorten and muscles beginning to constrict. All her willpower and yet it seemed to do nothing to aid the females clothes being torn from her body. The intruder just stood there mouth agape at her, not even noticing when the police burst through the door. Charcoal flecked pelt now took the spot of sunkissed hide. The authorites must have seen the whole ordeal because they were frozen to their spot at the door not making any motions towards her. The only world appropriate for this situation was running through her mind at an alarming rate. Shit. How would she talk herself out of this especially when she was sure that she would be one of the ones pin pointed for the invasion. She debated crashing through the glass door just off to her right before she realized there was another officer out there dressed in the same uniform, she was completely surrounded and yet she was the center of attention and not the guy who had been preforming the crime. She was completely frozen to the spot, shaking. A low feral sound escaped her throat, which was a big mistake since it caused the men to raise their guns in her direction. She wondered how many shots would be fired if she were to simply charge them, it had worked on her escape from the Moretti family, except the gaurds had not had guns. Even if she managed to get through the original two there would be more waiting for her on the outside. She did not know how much time had passed before another car showed up on the scene, probably only a matter of moments. 'Animal Control' written right on the side of it. As if life could not get much worse right now. A man dressed differently joined the stand off she she cringed seeing the tranq gun in his hand. She still truly had hopes that they had not seen her shift from her human form though that was a blank wish that held false hope, of course they had. She lunged from her spot in a blank rage only to be caught accurately in the hip with the tranq dart, her last lingering thought before darkness was. Man he had good aim. It must have been hours because when she was awoke she was back in human form, locked safely within a holding cell of what have must have been the local police department, luckily there was only one other inmate across from her that witnessed her nakedness. Though that did not seem to stop the cat calls that were voiced in her direction and a chill ran down her spine, she was still too groggy to care as she huddled behind the bed. A gaurd passed by and her voice even sounded foreign to her. Can I have some clothes? She muttered angrily. He did not speak to her simply looked at her with his mouth agape as if she was some slideshow freak before tossing her some sweatpants and a shirt. They were oversized and smelled horrible. Just like the cell which was damp and musty. She had not realized that she was in shackles, apparently they were really scared of her. Normally when they said you had one phone call you were allowed you were lead somewhere to make the call but in this case the phone was brought to her, probably not wanting to risk moving her. You have one call. He stated gruffly before leaving her with the device. Who would she call? Erix would most likely be too blinded by rage right now to think too logically and he would most likely already be on his way to see her. Damien. He had always been able to get her out of sticky situations. He could be counted on. He answered on the first ring. Hello. His voice sounded groggy indicating that it must be late at night. Damien, its Ayrn. I need your help. I am in jail. And with that she almost broke down in tears. He sounded as though there was a lot of rustling and shuffling and he answered. I will be right there. She hung up the phone with a silent sob, this was all such a big misunderstanding, if only she had a little more willpower and she would not have shifted and she would not be in this situation. Of course she would be seen as guilty since she was a fucking shape shifter and a wolf when they got to the scene, they were not about to release her, why would that ever happen. She was nothing that any of them had seen before and she knew that Damien would need to pull a hell of a lot of strings to get her out of here. She sat on the edge of the bed knees were pulled up to her chest ignoring the verbal comments from the cell across from her. The words played off blank ears anyways she had too much going through her mind, even if the old couple woke up and spoke of her innocence it was unlikely they would allow her out.

Heat coarsed through veins, nostrils sucking in a sharp breath as the male pressed even closer to the fea, pushing them both backwards until their two bodies hit the wall. Satisfied that there was no escape, he endulged himself: allowing hands to move over her body where ever they could. Eager, palm cupped her cheek, fingers twisting around till tips pressed softly against the middle of the woman's neck, giving their owner greater leverage. Whole heartedly expecting the situation to accelerate, thumb pushes her chin upwards, deepening the kiss through the new found access. A loud crash however cut the fantasy short, body drawling away from hers almost as quickly as she left his arms, a frown overcoming handsome features as he moves to the window. Pushing the shades aside, the man took a glance outdoors into the neighborhood, scanning the street for anything he could find out of place. As far as he could tell, nothing was amiss, but then again, he had only begun to live in this house where as his lover had lived here for years. Leaning away, he nodded at her to let her know he understood. Deciding not to follow her as she did not act as if that was what she wanted, the bloke instead moved to the couch, flipping on the television in order to pass the time until she returned. Before he knew it, the show he choose to watch which ran for thirty minutes was over and still the essa was not back. Dumbstruck, and slowly beginning to worry, he shuts off the set and goes out to the back porch, hearing Cairo's dejected whines as he neared. Opening the sliding glass door, frame stoops, scooping up the pup in his arms, skin exposed to the sunlight. Standing there on the porch, the baron listened for any hint of something, anything, which could explain why Ayrn had been gone so long. The only thing he could hear was the whisper of the wind as it blew through the trees off in the distance. Frowning once more in confusion, he goes over and shuts the hot tub off, setting the dog down only for a moment to pull the cover back over the top as they would not be needing it's services again that night. Picking the youngling back up, he goes back inside, climbing the stairs and deciding to pass more time by taking a shower. Although it was a vain hope, Erix wished the stream of warm water would take his mind off his missing lover, but rather, it had the opposite effect as he found himself imaging her inside the shower with him, her touch driving him wild as it always did. Within seconds, the drake forced himself out of the spray, wrapping the towel around his waist and splashing cold water from the sink upon his face to try and clear the thoughts. What if something happened to her? There were so many possiblities! What if that vampire from Hitari had saught her out and found her again? True, she had assured him that would be impossible, but what if? With our luck it would figure such a thing would happen right after I asked her to be my wife. Suddenly, an idea clicked and he burst out of the bathroom, ran down the stairs still in the towel and reached for his phone. I'll call Damien. Maybe he knows where she is. As he started to type the name out for his address book, the shifter instantly remembered that he did not have the other man's number. Cursing, he starts towards the kitchen, knowing that his mother kept a large address book full of addresses, phone numbers, and other contact information of important people in one of her lower cabinets. The hope that Ayrn had done the same quickly dwindled down to a disappointment as he riffled through every single cabinet, drawer, and any other hiding place he could think of and still could not find one. As a last attempt, he pulled out a local phone book he had managed to find and looked up the guy's name, but as he did not know Damien's last name, it was of no help, even if there was a chance that he was even listed. Giving up, elbow slammed against the countertop and head fell into waiting hands, pulling on the taunt skin there as he racked his brain for another way to find out where she had gone. Randomly, the pointer barked and drew his attention towards her. She sat on the kitchen floor by the end of the table, wagging her tail and there, just above her head, was Ayrn's cell phone. Releasing a heavy sigh of relief, he crossed over to the pup, picked her up, and kissed her enthusiastically upon the forehead. Then, craddling Cairo in one arm, he picked up the phone and punched in Damien's name. Pressing the call button, he held the phone to his ear and waited while it rung for the other to pick up. Finally, the other male answered with a voice that sounded surprised and out of breath. He started to say "Ayrn, how did you...," but Erixic interrupted, explaining that she had left the house early that afternoon and he had not heard from her since. The silence that came from the other end of the line, caused his heart rate to jump into over drive, chest expanding rapidly with an emotional mixture of intense worry and extreame anger. Damien, tell me you have talked to her. At that, a sigh came from the girl's best friend before he replied. "Yes, Erixic, I have. She just called me a few moments ago from jail. I'm going to go get her out and I'll bring her home. Don't worry, she will be safe with me." Speechless, Erixic licked his dry lips and managed to stammer out a thank you. Closing the phone, he set it back on the table before bending to set Cairo on the floor as well. His mind reeling, he stumbled over to the couch where he froze, head in hands even after a car could be heard coming up the driveway. Mind was numb: he couldn't think, couldn't react. All he could do was feel. Feel the pain that wrenched at his heart with each beast. What had happened? How was it that she came to be in jail? Why did she call Damien? Why did she not call HIM?

What if she was stuck here forever? What then? After all that had happened her mind was foggy. In a state of panic she had called Damien assuming that Erix would have seen the cop cars and followed them here though it did not make sense since he was a shifter and his senses were on high alert so for him to completely miss something like that almost floored her. She would have guessed that he would have been hot on her trail when she went over there like he always seemed to be, the protective instincts were strong in the wolven aspect of the man. She had made a mistake though and realized it almost as soon as she hung up the phone though she trusted Damien to call Erix to tell him what was going on, what would Erix's response be to Damien telling him that she was in jail. He would be shocked, she would be as well if the roles were reversed. Frame was tense as she hovered in the corner of the cell. Trying to avoid the knowing glances of the person across the way. Breath was caught in her throat as Damien then entered the small hallway, he looked ten feet tall and intimidating with the anger that crossed his face. Ivories clamp her bottom lip harshly as she stepped forward. You, Idiot! He yelled at her and she cringed away from the harsh tones of his voice. He did not speak anymore seeing the state that she was in. Huddled against the back corner of the wall she felt more vulnerable then she had felt in a long time, it brought back too many memories that were meant to be nothing but ghosts in the past. There had been so many bad things that had happened to her after being locked in a cell like this one. Damien suddenly realized what she was relating this too and his face dropped, eyes getting soft as he breathed a sigh. She was allowed out from the cell now though she still remained in the shackles. Head was dropped as she was taken in the direction of the interrogation room and Damien was forced to go back and wait in the office. Now they would play good cop, bad cop with her and her stomach churned. Had the older couple woken up yet? Were they dead? None if this she knew. She was met by an important looking bald headed man, he did not look like a police officer. Ayrn, I have a proposition for you. He stated gently though his words held a sinister feel to them. She could not help but think that both the options that she was about to be given were both horrendous. He then continued. I am willing to allow you to go, as long as we are allowed to study you as a specimen. Your kind is very rare though I will not say you are the first that we have encountered. Her stomach tied in knots. I am not guilty you can't keep me here! Once again her voice sounded completely foreign. You want to test that theory? He asked in a voice that sickened her. It was like a horror movie where the person was given two sickly choices that either way they were screwed. Either way it would completely alter her life. With a deep sigh she realized that she had no choice. She would be on the run again before she allowed them to do tests on her but reluctantly she signed the papers in which were provided and she was lead in shame in her shackles in the direction of the waiting room they waited until the last possible moment to release her. They were obviously terrified of the girl, so here she was her secret exposed, to the last people she could ever expect that she would want to tell it to. It made her feel sick and she did not even speak as Damien lead her in the direction of his car. Door was slammed a little too hard when she climbed into the passengers seat. Care to tell me what happened? He asked in a snarky manner and she shook her head. We need to stop at the hospital on the way back. He knew that she was not in the mood to be told no so he pulled into the parking lot that was not too far away. He waited in the car as she jogged up the stairs. She was told by the nurse at the front desk that they were both in an unstable state and that she would get a phone call when they would be allowed visitors so she settled with leaving her phone number there and turning back to the car. Stepping in the door Damien still looked to be fuming. A bitter tone was taken as she made her announcement. Oh, I am engaged by the way, if it is not revoked after tonight. She stated to him and he looked to her with his jaw widened. Elbow was rested on the arm rest and her head was propped up on it. She had no desire to return home right now knowing that Erix would be furious with her. He seemed to finally have enough and pulled over by the side of the road demanding that she tell him what was going on. And she gave in. Well me and Erix were out in the hot tub and I heard a loud bang from the neighbours and went over there and found them getting broken into, I thought he would be right behind me because he is usually like that but I guess not if he did not realize what was going on and one of the robbers snuck up on me and I lost control and ended up shifting.. right in front of the police officers. It was her version of the story and he seemed to buy it and kept driving in the direction of the house and it seemed to take forever to get back to the house. He let her out making her promise to call him later if he was needed she nodded solemly though knew that would not be happening since he would most likely be with Laina. She strode right to the door and opened it ready for World War III. Cairo barked and jumped from the coach running to her. She looked like hell, her hair was tangled and pulled back from her face, which was starting to be lined with bruises. The clothes hung off her in an unflattering manner. Her shoulder hung a little lower then the other where the chair had made contact and she felt as though she had been through a blender. Erixic. She stated gently in case he had not noticed her entering. Let me explain. I thought that you would see the police cars, hear the sirens. I was wrong but I thought that you would have definately known what was going on or seen part of it. She was ready for his explosion though and did not move from her spot at the door she did not even take her shoes off. She looked to Cairo though she did not move to pick the puppy up.

After a long moment, it seemed to register with the male that the car had pulled up in the driveway. Rising, he started towards the front door, opening it just in time to see Damien backing down onto the road. Raising his hand in a tired, silent thank you, Erixic retreated back into the house, hearing Cairo bark and the door from the garage open and close. Turning, he caught sight of Ayrn, the pit in his instantly churning for multiple reasons. She looked horrible, the light in her eyes that had been there only a few hours before gone and without it, her beauty lost its edge. Sighing, he held up one hand to stop her explanation, the other moving to grip his temples. Stop Ayrn. Just.... Stop. Emotionally distraught, he soon found himself leaning against a nearby wall, back turned towards the lass. In the first show of frustration, fist lifted and he punched the wall, leaving a small dent in the surface as he pushed himself off and turned back to look into the beloved green depths, guise vulnerable for he did not care enough to hide his feelings. I was blind and deaf. I trusted that you, having lived here much longer than I, might have know what would have made that crash. For once in my life I did not follow you when I should have. I do not know why I didn't hear the sirens or see the cars. Perhaps I was too preoccupied worrying about where you had gotten off to. None of that matters now, though. Shaking his head, gaze jerked painfully away, jaw tightening as the man stuggled with himself and with the words that threatened to emit. I don't understand Ayrn. Even if I had seen all of that, why didn't you call me? He forced pair to meet hers again, lids closing over surfaces as he tried to block out the utter loneliness he felt. I know that Damien has always been there for you and is your go-to man, but I want to MARRY you. I would have thought that would make me higher up on the call-from-prison list. I suppose not. Feeling as if he was too weak to stand any longer, the drake again took refuge on the couch, fingers running through his hair slowly as he tried to make sense of his all, the haze still blocking all comprehension ability. Sighing, he decided to put his issues to the side for now, staring blankly at black the television screen. You should take a bath, get changed and sleep. Stating the obvious, he rose, turning halfway towards her without looking directly at her with his arm extended. Come on, I'll help you.

She did not know what to say to make this situation better, she had come to understand that she made a huge mistake. She should have never assumed that the man had been following her she should have never just guessed that he would have been there. Damien was a large part of her life and it was almost as if it was an instinct to call him when she needed something. She was screwed this one up big time and the sad part was that she knew it. A sinking feeling that rivaled the feeling in her stomach when she had arrived at the scene made her feel sick. She was listless and she tried to drag herself out of this state not wanting to be seen like this since she knew that it had a huge affect on the man. He told her not to speak while he rubbed his temples and she just nodded if that was what he wished. Her expression was slightly vulnerable and sad as she turned away to hide this from him. The whole day brought back ghosts from her past and provided a horrible link back to the times of Dillon, perhaps this is why she called on Damien. She was not too sure of the true reason herself. She could not believe that she made him this way he looked tired and quite frankly he looked elderly and worn out. He looked almost as bad as she did. She turned towards the upstairs with no words. Perhaps a shower would clear her mind to allow her to provide and adequate response to him. He offered to help her and she took his arm being lead up the stairs. Her mind was elsewhere as emerald pools were blank. The old couple next door got broken into.. they are in the hospital. She stated gently not sure if he knew the entire story. Then the heartbreaking news came. The police, they saw me shift Erixic. She trailed off knowing he would take this hard though she did not want to disclose the information knowing it would never be good to hide it from him, They made me agree to allow them to do tests, or they would keep me in jail. She stated knowing he would take this hard. Her life would no longer be her own and she would be back to square one. She entered the bathroom restraining the urge to hide her naked body thinking of the comments of the man from the prison and feeling a little like a piece of meat though this was Erix and he had seen her naked many times. There was a large lump that was blue and black on the back of her shoulder spanning almost the entire blade and she winced as she touched it. She allowed the hot water to pour into the tub and stepped into the scalding water trying to wash the dirt from her body. Facial features contort into submission and an expression of grief, hating every moment that she put him through something like this. Erix, I am so sorry. I was not thinking. I would have called you but I kind of reverted back to before I knew you. I was scared. But thats no excuse. I am so sorry. She murmered ignoring that he had told her to stop. After the bath she wrapped a towel around herself and stepped out into their room. Pulling on a pair of shorts and a tank top and pausing to pet Cairo who bounded up the stairs. She took a step closer to where Erix was knowing he very well could reject her and wrapped her arms around him. The feeling of safety overwhelming her before she waited to see his reaction.

The arm he had extended wrapped around her as the fatal complied and came into his support system, his other hand moving to grasp her's closest to his chest in another way to help lead her on. While they started upstairs, the bloke remained silent, listening to the pieces of the story as she relayed them though not knowing what to say in return. What could one say to what was being said? Nothing. Aboslutely nothing could make the situation change for the better. He knew very well she was fond of the elderly neighbors, but did not know them personally and the idea of consoleing her upon their health advancing quickly to recovery did not occur the the bloke. Too many thoughts, too many feelings of his own procured from deep within and muddled the rest of his mind, leaving whatever was left unengaged listless. Form tightened at the news of the authorities knowing of the fea's condition and a vast store of oxygen was brought into his lungs through nostrils, but still no words escaped. Such a thing they would have to deal with as time passed. Now, the wounds were too fresh and the idea too new for any truely decisive plan to be made and executed. Hold was released on her only as they entered the bathroom, satisfied that she could stand on her own for a moment while he helped ready the bath. Turning the faucets, he checked to be sure it was warm enough to ease aching muscles before plugging the drain and standing to again attend to the essa. He caught her hesitation in undressing and moved to the doorway, his back exposed to her with chin dipped, making it apparent that his gaze was upon the floor and not her. Another sharp, wrenching pain convulsed through him, but the drake appeared not to feel it, knowing she could not help the vulenerablity she was now feeling even if there was no reason to mistrust him. It was harder for females to become used to the life of shifting for they were left naked after every shift back into human form and woman are very conscious of their figures. For men, it was easier as they tend to be more confident in their exposed entirety. Erixic also recongized how it must have felt to the damsel to be led, naked, into a prison cell where comments from captives and captors alike run free as a wood's stream. Anger coursed through veins for the slightest of moments, but with no fuel to fan it, the emotion quickly ceased, giving way once more to the seemingly overpowering sense of lethargy. He heard the water cut off and her step into the bath and shifted to leave her to her privacy when her lyrics rung out, bringing him to a premature hault. For a long moment after the girl's speech ended, he remained rooted to the spot, his mouth dry and cottony. Head moved halfway in her direction, as if he was going to look at her, but instead, chest simply heaved with a heavy breath and lids closed, figure moving off into the bedroom a second later. Even now he could not bring himself to call forth language, not even to tell her he accepted her apology. For this, Erix was not yet ready. He had forgiven her the moment she had walked through the door and yet, he resisted this feeling. Part of him loathed how easily the woman made him her puppet, how her every action effected his emotions and his own movements. It was that part which kept him lock-jawed. Feeling rather worn, the shifter stripped, pausing on his way to the bed only to ruffle the hair upon young Cairo's head. Muscles collapsed as frame fell against the matress, legs no longer willing to hold up their subject and arms no longer wished to move him elsewhere. He forced himself to work, however, and shifted until body was streached out across the width of the bed, feet dangling off the edge as voids stared at the ceiling. Mercury depths were blocked from all light cast into the room, the numbness again taking charge of his mass. For a while, he lingered in limbo, unaware of what was really going on in reality and yet still a resident in it's cage of life. Suddenly, the noise of the water draining from the bath caught his attention, sounding like a fog horn to the man in his unexpecting state of mind. Painfully, he drew himself up to a sitting position, liquids watching the maiden move through the darkness towards him. He remained unaffected for a moment after her arms wrapped around his torso, another pang piercing his heart till he could take the hurt no longer. Extremities encirle her and pulled the vixen close, the side of his face pressing against hers as hot breath is released onto the glistening skin of her shoulder, neck and collar bone area. Vocals remained caged as he pulled away, palm tenderly sliding onto her cheek while pushing the strands darkened by water out of her face. Softly, he kissed her, other hand soon rising to join its partner on the other side of the damsel's mask in order to cradle her head in their light grasp. Erixic felt very much like crying, but knew his body would not allow such a pleasure to be alloted to him at any time and especially not now. The tears that had been shed over other grievences in years past would be the last to stain his cheeks. Eyes were therefore dry when the glanced at his companion, wishing her to speak as his tongue felt too heavy to deliver any thing still.

What was the solution? Her mind was completely running at a million miles an hour and even the fatigue that was starting to settle in feature did not cause her thoughts to falter. She knew that the government would not believe that it would be simply suffecient to do a couple tests on the shifter, she would always be under their power if she chose to remain here. She could not believe that she managed to get seen, something would need to be done soon before they were keeping even more of a watchful eye on her. Stomach was churning and felt as though it was tied in knots. She forced herself to relax enough to be able to function, one problem at a time. Luckily she was starting to think a little more clearly and she had faith that she would be able to think out a plan. She could not believe that this was all it took for her to revert back to her old self. The vulnerable girl that he had met almost a year and a bit ago. She had been in such a mess then and she had grown to heal with him and it amazed her just how fragile that was. Eyes were closed as the bath continued until she stepped out and wrapped a towel around herself. Her entire body was sore and yet there was no true injuries from the day merely fatigue from what had gone on. It was more mental then anything since she had been plotting her escape the entire day that she had been kept in the cell. She had been so worried that Erix would never forgive her for being an inmate and that he would not come to rescue her, ridiculous yes of course but she still had the thought since she had reverted so far back to the person she had once been. Cairo was already snuggled up in bed by the time that she got back to the bedroom by now her hair had been toweled dry and she was dressed in flannel pajama pants and an oversized t-shirt that managed to hide the large bruise on her shoulder. The only thing she managed to escape with from the incident which was overly lucky. Though her mind was still foggy and unclear from the tranquilizers that had been in her system and she felt overly groggy. He kissed her and his hands moved to both sides of her face. A small sigh escaping kissers in a contented motion though she knew that their talk was far from over, though she would deliever the words that she felt were nessecary then be finished with it and hopefully with time they would be able to move on, even though she knew he was hurting so bad and it pained her terribly to know that it was because of her actions. Lips met his gently before she pulled back. I am so sorry Erix, I don't know what was going through my mind, if anything at all. I guess it brought me back to the old days where Damien was the only one that I did have. I am so sorry though and I know that is no excuse but I promise you I will make this all up to you. She hoped the words would put him at ease a little more then before. She lifted the shirt at the corner and brows raise a little. A large bruise circled her hip, it must be there the tranq gun had hit her. Well I did not ever expect to be shot with a tranq gun from animal control. She stated with a little lighter of a tone before turning back to the man and focusing on the softness and pain within his eyes. It tore her apart before lips then met his. Glad that the darkness closed them in and he would not be able to complain about to dog being able to see. Her lips were rough against his in a vain attempt to take his mind off things. Movements were a little brash as arms were pressed on either side of him as she brought frame to stradle his sitting position. Kneeling on either side of him. Unsure of how he would react whether he would push her away or savour the moment for what it was. She knew that she was far from making it up to him but she hoped it might count for something.
