Head moved slightly in her direction at the first instance of speech, forcing himself to bite back the reply that instantly jumped into his brain. And you, alluding Faerie, have come the closest to me than anyone has dared in many years. Gaze continued to look off into the distance, teeth now rolling gently the inner tissue of his lower lip between the two rows, giving the usually stone like figure something to keep the figeting at bay. Mind wandered back to the story she had told him in the park of her sufferings at her words, jaws ceasing their movement meanwhile. He could not help but wonder how far apart these spells of love had been for her or how strong she had experienced the feeling. Obviously the lass' past lovers had ment quite a lot to her, otherwise their desertion would not have effected her so powerfully. Enamal grinds together, a foreign irritated feeling taking hold of his limbs now as muscles tensed and a barbaric instint flashed through veins from the beast's side, something that had never happened before whilst the man was still fully in control. In reaction, he felt shock, though remembered to keep it hidden for what conclusions would the lady jump to if she saw such an emotion on his facade? The urge died down after a few seconds, but aftershock still remained, though it was the kind of effect one would not have expected. G`rzeth felt... peaceful and whole as if inside there had been a battle between two completely different sides and now they had reached a compromise. Liquids linger upon the wall no longer, chin turning till pair stared straight at the maiden again, feeling revived and paitent while awaiting what else she would say. Before, she had struck a cord and caused his organ to jump up the pace, but soon he realized that she had not accepted or denied his offer. Strangly enough, it was an invitation, although a quite confusing one that to someone else may not look as such, but the lord knew and remained ignorant to the fact that she may not understand what he had offered or that he was even offering anything. Doe eyes turned to him and femine vocals rallied, sounding stronger and more determined than they had all night. Thought it was what Zeth had been waiting for, the only expression he could muster displayed his intense need to understand her way of thinking for brow furrowed and lips remained straight and thin. Are you truely wanting me? Do you really want to fly away from here, just like that? The bloke was amazed and slightly doubting of her certainty, yet inside churned with happiness. Living alone seemed like a dull prospect to him now as he thought on returning to the discrete little cabin the in woods. The memory was pushed away. There were still perhaps a few more days yet till he quitted this city and it was no good to think of the time he would depart from here now. Dome tilted to the side, sky blue depths watching her, intriqued, while a sideways grin pulled upon one edge of his kissers at her own stubborn declaration. After a second, chuckles escaped, amusment sprinting across features at the bold look he had gotten. Sometimes things do not always work out as planned. Often times, an unexpected factor comes in and moves them. Smile returned her challenge, brows raising a bit pointedly as the word "moves" left cavern. It was entertaining to tease the essa, even if he was partly serious about the whole thing. There still was a bit of satisfaction to be found in treating the miniscule "war" in a mock serious way.

She would never have guessed how her past could have upset him. Yes, she had thought she loved someone before. Matt obviously wasn't mutual to her feelings, he had tricked her into it, so how could that be called love? Why would anyone be jealous of that? And Cole... Cole was something else totally different. Perhaps he had been influenced by some illegal substance when he came to her, perhaps that was never love in his eyes either, perhaps he had reeled her in as well only to leave her in such utter heartbreak and pain. His had been the worst she always thought, for he was dead, no last goodbyes ever to come. She caught Zeth's gaze and nodded. She would understood if he didn't want her to come along. Faerie usually wasn't one anyone wanted to bring along with them. I do, but you don't have to take me if you don't wish to. She was indeed wanting to leave with him, wanting to not be left here. She was in a place she hated: the city. And she was alone, alone and then crowded by beings she did not want to be crowded by. Yet Zeth's company was totally different. No, he should never be upset, because he had more trust than she had given anyone for most her life. Why? After what she went through, this was something big, even to just invite him to her home. How vulnerable did she look? How easy would it be for him to steal things from her home, to hurt her ever so. No, Fae usually didn't fear pain, only the emotional one. She could care less if it was a gun pointed to her head, but heartbreak was something she could never handle. People dying, people leaving, people using her... Oh she could never stand it. She let out a sigh, and yet at his own little remark she had to glance up at him and finally take a second to think something over, finally letting lyri escape her. I do not plan on being moved by anything, or should I say anyone. She met his gaze, still a bit daring before she laid her head on the pillows she brought, pulling away from him and tugging the covers over her, legs across his lap, expecting him to move soon. She was determined to win this. As much as she wanted to continue this... One wouldn't call it really a conversation, but time with him, she hoped there would at least be tomorrow. Good night Zeth. She spoke to him, stretchingher legs some, a smirk across her face as she did so, as though he was not even sitting there. Ah, how this reminded her of those times when everything was perfect, when mom was still around, when she had those sleep overs with cousins and friends. For this was almost a childish 'war', but who needed to be so serious so often?

A smile spread across facade which could be seen in the depths of the male's eyes, forcing the doubt that could have been allowed to creep into his mind even now, despite the lass having twice reassured him that she indeed wanted to go with him. Chuckles escaped, dome shaking side to side as if dismissing the last part of her reply. I can't see why I would not wish to. Your company has been more enjoyable than you know. Grin flashed over at her, only positive emotions now coarsing through veins. It was strange, but somehow the man felt... playful? Almost like a child would except, unlike adolesants, the twenty year old had ample strength and power to back up his teasing remarks. Icy surfaces flashed and smirk turned sly at her returning dare, random fits of laughter being held inside as his amusement with the situation grew. Who knew the girl who stared at the floor earlier that night when they had met could be so friendly once one began to open her shell. Brow cocked in questioning and spine straightened, the ready retort pausing upon his tongue while the maiden lay her head upon the pillow on the opposite side of the couch and streached out the rest of her bodice towards him, finding it fit to straighten her lower limbs across his lap. Gaze moved from her face and slowly slid down her figure, haulting upon reaching the end of of her leggings where her feet were. "Good night Zeth" entered lobes and attention quickly jumped to her guise, a skeptical look being shot at her although she pretended to be attempting sleep. Shifting to his hip, G`rzeth leaned in to the damsel, hands bracing against the cushions on either side of her, a confident smirk staring down at raven strand covvered cranium, yet it was free of cockyness. And how do you plan on sticking to your word? Vocals asked jokingly in a tone that was little more than a whisper, lips close to her ear for her to hear the question. Then, without warning, torso straightened and her legs were pushed off his gently, but swiftly. Stature was next at her side, knees bent and arms moving to support her form just beneath the shoulder blades and at the underside of her lower thigh and knee in order to lift her from the couch. Skeleton turned away from the living room and towards the room she had pointed out earlier, long stilts carring the pair in that direction. Haulting halfway between, bleached pair dropped down to look at Faerie, a smug smirk upon mask. So what are you going to do? Deliver blows to my chest with your fist? Or perhaps you'd rather kick me? I might as well remind you that I have a very high tolerance to pain so in reality, you might as well tickle me. That would get more of a response from my body. Laughter escapes mouth, the position being held while he awaited her words, curious as to if she would give in and let him when now when it seemed that he could not win the battle or if she would continue to be stubborn and insist she sleep on her own couch, which, would not happen if the shifter had it within his grasp to change.

That meant yes then right? She peeked over at him and nodded. It was settled in her mind then, because she craved his company. Why? Heck if she knew, sure there were other people, but she wanted his and his alone company. She let out a sigh, knowing that where this was leading to was not good at all. She glanced away and tried to ignore him, tried to find that peaceful place, tried to find her sleep. But he was already testing her, and here he was, daring her to keep to her word. Oi, darn him. She felt him picking her up and, oddly, as much as she welcomed his being close and all, she tried to push away, because she did not want to lose, she did not want to have this stubborn game lost. Still, she knew there was no point in fighting it. She gave him a glare for a look and let out a breath. There was a way... She just refused to do it. She crossed her arms against her chest and let out a huff. Well, there is always knee to groin, but, I like you too much to do that. consider yourself lucky. She turned her head away, and finally just gave in, unsure what exactly she was fighting more against, this whole mini fake kidding war they seemed to be playing or her insides. Her instincts to move closer, and she was also having a hunch that it just might be what would have him let her down. Though how could she be sure? Perhaps it would also be the thing to make him walk out, to make him want to run from her. She let out a breath and then just gave him a longing and yet so hurt glance. Please... She paused and then turned away, unsure what she had been about to say. A beg perhaps? A question? Or a asking to be left alone, though she highly doubted that it had anything to do with that last little idea. Poor Zeth, she knew she had to be confusing him, perhaps even hurting him here, but that was what she was right now, she had been so tore up inside, if he didn;t get that, he didn't get her at all, didn't get what she had once been through. She trusted however that he did... that for some reason he was more understanding than most people would be.

Amused expression stared down at her, watching as arms moved across her chest and facade turned away in a pouting way. Silent chuckles shook the male's chest at her reply, composure soon returning for another act. Like a skillful actor, he winched, now instead of smiling, Zeth shot an accusing glare down at the fatal. That is a low blow for you to take at any man. I do indeed consider myself lucky. Not being able to hold the glare anymore, guise lit up with a smile, strides continuing towards their destination as the sign of surrender was caught in her features before the maiden had managed to turned her head away. It had been fun to tease her so and the bloke found himself kind of sad that she had given in so quickly. Now, there was nothing left for them to do, but go to bed and he was not quite ready to depart from her company so quickly, even if it was to sleep. At this thought, his contentment drained away and the grin upon lips started to faulter, a small sadness filling a corner of his gut once he came to the doorway of Faerie's room. There, he paused, dismissing his original plan since the girl had already given up her side of the fight and deciding that it was probably best to set her down right here. Just as chin dropped and attention turned to the lady in question, he heard and saw the "please..." come from her mouth, causing a frown to form upon his conterance while figure twisted and arms tilted to set her upon her feet. What? Vocals asked softly, hands upon her shoulders as dual cobalts searched her eyes for the answer before she had the chance to reply. A guilty feeling started to set in while he thought about it longer. Had his teasing and stubbornness upset her? Im sorry Faerie. I was only teasing. If it means that much to you to sleep on the couch then I won't stop you even if its not nessicarry for you to do so. Gaze dropped from hers then to look at the floor, extremities falling back to his sides only to be suffed into pockets a few moments later. He had over stepped himself on this one. Joking with her so easily and literally forcing her to accept no other alternative than sleeping in her own bed as he had wanted. He had just met her for crying out loud. Even if it didn't seem to bother the essa, G`rzeth should have known better.

She felt suddenly so confused when he set her down and she could find herself to do nothing more than probably do the thing she should not have, for she inched closer to him and leaned her head against his chest, arms wrapping around his form. She didn't want him to feel guilty, to feel hurt, because it made her feel even worse. No, don't... Don't be sorry. She glanced up at him, trying to find it in herself to relax and draw back into the Faerie she was earlier, but it was far harder than it may have seemed. She just wanted his company, wanted his voice to continue talking, wanted to go with him. He had grown on her, she felt a longing to have his companionship, even if it was only friends, perhaps it was best however, friendship or more, that she just drop this now, because how was she to deal with things when he left her like everyone did? Yet, she could not fight it, she could not go back to being alone with him here, she couldn't just kick him out of her life because he understood, he somehow understood. She was struggling with her own emotions right now and she doubted she could help him at all, doubted she could make any sense to him. She felt so sorry for all she was doing to him and so she instantly pulled away, walking the rest of the way into her room and letting out a sigh as she sat on her bed, glancing up at him, eyes still having that surrendering look, not because of him, but because it was as though she was surrendering to everything, unsure of what on earth could possibly win now, all walls were down and she was feeling dazed and confused as to what to do. She watched him a moment before voids downcasted to avoid his gaze anymore, afraid she might melt under it. I'm sorry, Zeth, I really am. She murmured, meaning nothing but the truth. How could anyone ever want to deal with her? If he wanted to sleep on the couch so bad, then fine. He was the guest, and wasn't that the whole point: not to argue with the one who was supposed to be spoiled? Not that Zeth would ever let himself be spoiled it seemed.

Chin jerked around as arms wrapped around him, catching his attention and startling the man slightly out of his brooding. Instantly, his own ligaments moved to encircle the lass, one enclosing her waist while the other settled upon her shoulder, hand upon ebony hair, in a way pressing her closer to his chest. Palm moved along her spine in slow, soothing motions, cheek pressing against hair and nostrils drawling in the scent of shampoo on her strands. Brows had drawn together as the bloke followed his companions lead and leaned away when she did, Bleached depths jumping from side to side in a searching manner as he tried to understand what she wanted. Moments ago, because of the nearly plea she had uttered, G`rzeth was ready to surrender and allow her to win, something that, although it was not particularly hard for him to do, went against what he had been taught. He was the man and would never allow a woman to sleep on a couch for it was a mannerism of respect paid traditionally, even though they lived in the twenty first century. But now, the maiden had contradicted everything that he was currently thinking by asking that he try not to be sorry. Which, as an expression, was a strange choosing of words to him for how could you ask anyone to be not be sorry when it was an uncontrolable emotion? Then again, it could serve a purpose in letting whomever you were telling it too that there was nothing to be sorry for. However, none of this mattered now and the lord was dragged out of his inner thoughts and back to the perplexing present. His arms were now suddenly empty, orbs staring, glazed after the girl as she moved and sat upon her bed across the room from where he stood at the door. Facade was unreadible while he waited for her gaze to look up at his. When it did, the baron was surprised to find that upon her mask was a hint of the excact same mixture of emotions he was currently enduring. Hearing her vocals apologizing for something that she need not be, the drake refused to ignore the urge to cross room. Figure approached her front and held her head between his hands, placing another kiss onto her crown where her hairline interrupted the vertical span of her forehead. Dome pulled back, one palm cupping her cheek while the other's fingers pushed dark strands from her eyes. You have nothing to be sorry for, Faerie. We were both perhaps a little stubborn. Thumb rumbed along her chin line while a small smile pulled at lips, speech no longer emitting, however, he felt as if there was something more to be said. As if there was something else hanging upon the air that lacked addressing. Didget haulted its movement as a thoughtful expression crossed his features, twisting them in an unexpected way. Is it just this that has you out of sorts? Tunes asked hesitantly, unsure if she would even answer the question for it was quite a prying one. One may ask why, if he knew well that other people would decline to answer, then did he ask the fatal the question still. That answer was because he felt as if he had given the fea a reason to trust him and he hoped that she did truely trust him

She watched him cross the room and wanted to flee for some reason, perhaps because she was fearing that he would tell her something that crushed her heart, crushed her insides, perhaps because she was afraid he would draw her near and then lash out at her, perhaps because she just feared getting close only to watch him leave. No matter how much she trusted them, no matter how nice they all seemed and good intentioned their will was, she was always crushed. Eyes closed as he gave his gentle kiss to her forehead. She listened and simply let out a sigh, at least he hit the fact on the head of the whole stubborn issue. Yet, that really wasn't her issueright now. She glanced at him and then bit her lip and turned away. I dunno. It's just that... This is hard, because I want you to be near, I don't want you to draw away at all, yet, I want you to stop this, to just wake me to reality before it hurts even worse when... you leave. It didn't have to be today, next week, next month, or next year... It didn't have to be on purpose or accident, but it seemed in her mind that it would soon end, this chapter involving him in some way. She hated the thought, and wanted therefore nothing to do with it, yet she couldn't tell herself to drop it, to leave him, to no longer care... She didn't know if this was a friendship or not, because something inside of her wanted more, but she would not voice it, and she would not let that be what decided if she went with him or not, no matter the situation, she knew she did indeed want to be with him. She leaned into him again, shaking her head. I have problems... My emotions are mixed, I'm a total mess... You can't tell me that you'd want to take me with, can you? She was sending him a question back, wanting the truth as well, wanting to know what he thought of her, how he thought of her, wanted to know if he would indeed leave, if she should close herself off again. Was there anyway he understood? Or would he pull away as soon as he heard her first words or thought that she was attatched to him in a way he didn't want to be attatched to her in. She hoped not, because she could somehow try to change her little feelings if she had to; if it meant keeping her with him. Yet if he did, she doubted she could blame him, could blame anyone, for what was she worth? She was just someone who needed some professional help it seemed. Yet she waited, trusting and praying he wouldn't crush her, because the sad truth was she was already attatched, it was too late for him to leave now, no matter what it was still going to tear her up inside. A lot of pressure huh? She wouldn't tell him that though, for she didn't want anything he did or said to be mostly from pity.

Luminesant pair watched eyelids flutter open and expose the creamy mocha depths. In the dark, where the only light offered was what flooded into the black room from the half ajar doorway, human sight was relativially poor, but for the male the conditions were what he prefered. His own enhanced vision was slightly hindered in broad daylight and always worked best in the shadows. Now, he could pick out each hue that combined to make the circle of the lass's retna. The faint green and gold along with the most prominent brown, however, it was not simply one shade, but various ones which seemed to be like pixels which when fitted together formed a whole picture. Again, the bloke found himself marveling at the wonders of nature and life. How so many things could be combined into one cohesive being was a vast idea which he could not quite grasp no matter how hard or how often he attempted to do so. Fascination is further fed by the complexity of emotions upon the girl's features, and those that were evident in her words. Mind transfers its attention then from the tiniest details to the "big picture," leaving his inner wonderings for another time when the Earth and its inhabinants could retain his entire focus. The push and pull relationship the vixen had discribed as happening within herself was all to familar to him. He understood the intense, hardly denyable need to do something while reason and logic told you to quit such thoughts and turn your back upon this satisfying want. A situation like this always developed from past experiences and a lesson that was learned through history and G`rzeth had a feeling he knew who had made Faerie warry. She had become afraid of being left alone. She had gotten used to let down and expected any connection formed to be broken in a painful and sudden way as it had been by the other men. Arms wrapped around her when she leaned against his chest, hand resting upon her hair and petting it occasionally as if doing it to simply occupy himself and sooth her at the same time. Head shook at her words, lower half of his face pressing to the side of her skull where lips were inches away from her ear. No, actually I can. I do want to take you with me, Faerie and I won't leave you. Torso leaned back slightly then, just enough for pools to seek out hers and find them before attempting to speak again only to faulter, gaze directing towards the wall behind her for what felt like a long moment to him. I'm not used to any sort of company, but I've become accustomed to yours so quickly I find it hard to imagine not speaking to you again. I know I need to know more of you, but at the same time feel as if I already know so much. Its a crazy thing that intriques me more than anything else. You see, I like to understand things and so you shouldn't be worried about me leaving. I want to know what it is that attaches me to you and from what you describe, I believe it also attaches you to me. Duals had returned to femine guise after the first sentence, different emotions and thoughts transformed his expression as he spoke, not bothering to hide anything from Faerie. Besides, what was the point in disguising pathos? Such a thing was needed by poker players, world leaders and soilders, not regular people who were trying to figure out where they stood.

Trust was always an issue for her. She used to be so easy when it came to trust, for she trusted everyone, even the creepy homeless man most would run from Fae would approach, offer money of some sorts... But now, she barely trusted at all, and when she did it seemed she always trusted the wrong person, but he didn't seem wrong, he didn't seem like he wanted to hurt her, then again, niether had Cole. She bit her lip and listened to him, letting occs just gaze into his before he averted them. Did he really mean that he wanted to take her with? That he wouldn't leave her? She wanted to believe those words, and she did, even though she was fearing being dropped on her back again. She took a minute to let it all settle in, listened to his words and she had to wonder... Was curiosity the only reason he was wanting to stay? What happened when he grey bored and had her all figured out? She turned her head away rather quickly at that thought because it suddenly hurt like a slap on the cheek. She doubted that wasn't what he meant, yet what if that was true? She couldn't think that way, but it was hard to keep her mind from it, it was hard not to think of every word uttered from his mouth as some excuse... as some cover up. Yet she kept herself calm, because somehow her trust was already in his hands, though she was still fearing and unsure and untrusting of the future. A simple nod came from her as she found it hard to hold emotions in check, a lone tear rolling down her cheek. No, even though she was processing words and on how he might still try to leave, that was not the reason for the tear, more she was still caught on his wanting to take her with. She was wanted... Wanted for once in her miserable life. Or at least, it seemed that way. Thank you, Zeth. She spoke softly and wondered if she'd be able to keep him talking, keep his presence here, because to be honest he didn't want sleep. Sleep was always hell, for with sleep came nightmares or what her mother used to call 'night terrors'. Oh how they did cause her terror, for it seemed her fear was the past all the time, the past repeating, over and over again. Eyes were downcast but face was no longer turned away as hand searched for his, squeezing it for reasurance, her own reasurance.

Attentive and slightly worrysome eyes studied the fatal's seated position and tried to read her body laungage. The adverted gaze and the stiff posture all pointed to a reaction he had not expected at all to have come to his words. Instantly, mind started to mull over what had been spoken, trying to find the loop hole in his speach that had been to unmistakenably clear to her that it caused this. Lost in thought, orbs barely caught the droplet as it refracted the light from the living room and rolled from the inner crevace of her socket, one blink of an eye lid sending it racing dowards with gravity. Thumb moved to catch it, sweeping the warm, wet tear back along the curve of finely made cheekbone, a regretful look upon the bloke's guise. I have said something wrong. Gaze apologized for him while lips twisted slightly in puzzlement and frustration, still not understanding what he had done wrong. Then, the deciding mistake was located, heart feeling immediately heavy as he understood what was the root of the silent treatment he now received. Foolish lips. They have betrayed me and relayed a statement naively thought over. I do not mean that it is merely curiousity which attatches me to you, but more of I am curious to learn what does create such a connection. When my thirst for knowledge has been quenched, my want to leave you will not be any greater than now, although it may be less, if that is even possible. Do forgive my careless utterances before. It is not usually my nature to be vague, but I find this. . . hard to explain. Look was apprehensive with perhaps a twinge of pleading while vocals ceased and the waiting game began, even though the male knew what the out come would be. She would, almost surely, accept and agree to what he asked, perhaps leaving the conversation to die then. At such a time, the baron should take the hint and move off back into the living room, shutting off the lights and then dutifully crawling under the covers on the couch to attempt sleep. Slumber might come then, although Zeth was inclined to believe that it would not and rather, he would suffer awake, wondering if the lady had already fallen asleep or if she lay concious still as he was. However, the man was not quite ready to endure this just yet. There was a reluctance within him to retire, stemming from the want to keep conversing with the lass as he was now because, despite the fact that it was probably quite late, he did not want to leave her, even for the night. And so, he waited until her vocals emitted, waited until he was released from his anxious state, and then moved to sit beside her on the bed, pulling shoes off and dropping them quietly to the floor below. Legs were then pulled up onto the matress, lower limbs crossing as knees bent and front shifted to direct itself at the essa. I hope you don't mind, but Im not quite ready for sleep yet. Of coarse, if you're tired I can go to your living room and leave you in peace.

She had hoped he wouldn't have noticed the look on her face, but he had and now he had to correct himself. She listened and brought herself to believe his new words. Why did she feel such a pull when he removed the tear from her cheek? What torture this was for her. She tried to let eyes find his gaze again, but his were avoiding at first and she found it easier to settle just on his facade. How selfish did it seem that for a moment she acted as though blaming him and accusing him for simply keeping her company for amusement. She could tell he was better than that, but still, she doubted her own judgement at times, look where it always landed her. However, when he wanted to stay it made her heart lift anf race. As he got comfortable she smirked some and did the same, folding her legs and fancing him, eyes finally catching his. Oh no, I actually would like that. She began unsure what to say next. What did one bring up? What was appropriate and inappropriate? She bit her lip, letting thoughts run in and out of her head, trying to find some question to ask him. Finally she spoke a random thought. Besides your family, have you ever stayed long with anyone? She knew his family was no more, but she didn't mean to bring it up as a sore spot, she hoped it would cause him no pain. If it did, she would make it her turn to apologize. Don't ask why she asked it, but she did and she found her gaze averting again for some odd reason, fiddling with the blanket she now tucked her legs under so she could keep warm. Suddenly she realized her manners and offered him blanket as well, wondering if he was cold. Could a shifter like him get cold? Or was their body temperature somehow different? At least she had her next question thought out. Hopefully one of the questions would get a conversation going. She wanted to know almost everything about him because she truly did want to stay with him. She wondered a lot about Zeth, some things she had no guts to ask about... Like if he ever loved someone, if he ever opened up to another. She was not asking to be mad or nosey or anything, after all, look at her. How many people had she supposedly loved? How many people did she live with? Hopefully he wouldn't judge her on her foolish heart.

Smile tugged across features as the maiden smirked at his remark and then situated herself in a mirror image of him, stating with more than words that she was not ready to enter the land of slumber quite yet either. Easily, the bloke's muscles relaxed and expression softened in her presance, a small amount of amusement being found as the lass visibly struggled with what to do next. Normally, G`rzeth would have been glad to releave his companion of the responsibility of having to strike up the conversation, but he found that it was perhaps better to allow her to direct a question which she may want to ask, considering the fact that she had already began thinking upon the matter. He would answer anything she asked to the best of his ability. No topic was off limits, not even the rather personal ones that would rub another the wrong way and cause either immediate depression, or intense anger. Zeth in general was a rather detached person with his emotions, although, he found reading the feelings of others something he came by naturally. Yes, the baron recongized all the reasons to become angry, yet did not find the reaction very satisfying. It was actually rather disappointing and useless for after, he was always regretful. In spells he became sad, but they were usually spread far apart and the time span which he suffered through the sickness lasted, at most, all night. Dome shook as the fatal did finally speak, a small pause occuring before tongue wet lips and he replied. No. Outside of my family, I have never lived with another. Oh and I should ask you to forgive my rather less hospitable manner when you come with me. Im not exacally house trained, you could say. Teasing grin flashed brilliantly at Faerie then, surfaces afire with enjoyment. Politely, he declined her offer of a blanket, shaking both his head and hand which he raised from the bed. I don't need the blanket. My body adjusts almost within seconds to the temperature of my surroundings, although mostly, I run a little hotter than humans consider normal. Without knowing it, the man answered one of the unspoken questions, and had also, in a way, answered another without meaning too. If he had never stayed with someone else for any length in time, how could he have fallen in love or even know acutely what love was? Of coarse, he had experienced feeling love for his mother, father and brother, but this kind of family love is a bit different from the emotion felt for one's soul mate. Also, he had never opened up to another, until the fea that night. The one person alive who knew the most about him had been Sensei, and even he did not know any more than what the younger had allowed him to concieve. Mostly, that included the lad's abandoned state and his real age.

He seemed so... different. He wasn't like any normal guy she seemed to run into. He didn't seem to have ever had... A girlfriend or anything like that before... Yet he seemed smarter, wiser than most. He just oozed maturity. That was always good, always what someone wanted... Usually. There were times when one had to be serious and at times not so serious; a person needed to know those bounds. As he declined her offer she just let out a sigh, however she found out her question had been answered. Was he seriously some mind reader. She stared at him blank for a minute before shaking her head and trying to get her mind back on track. Okay, I feel stupid asking this, but your this... shifter?... So, do you have any other power? I... I mean having powers sounds stupid... Let me rephrase that. She continued to blabber on and on until she finally just spoke her question. Can you read minds or something? She hated how she sounded, so childish, so niaeve. All because she was used to her plain old world. A sort of shiver ran down her spine, but it wasn't just from the cold, it was something else, something about him that always did that. Perhaps because she was unable to believe how real it was that someone was here. She didn't mind his comment on being unhospitalble. She didn't need any of that, she just needed his company, his presence, whatever relationship this here was. She was curious about his body temperature and leaned a bit closer to him, hand moving towards his skin, wondering just how much warmth there was. I wish I could say the same about the whole warmth thing. She murmured basking in the warmth of his skin. And yet as she realized she may be invading his space and that she was touching his skin, she pulled away, cheeks turning a red hot color, suddenly so embarassed at her actions. Why was she such a fool? This was all new to her again, she had no people skills, perhaps she never would. Eyes were once more avoiding him completely, deciding to stare at the comforter she had herself wrapped in. Another thought came to her mind but soon left. Could he really live longer than most? How old was he anyhow? She hadn't bothered to ask that, yet she didn't have the guts to ask it, instead she just stayed quiet, awaiting for him to ask a question or to say something. She wanted to hear his voice, not hers, she was getting rather annoyed with her own.

A singular eyebrow cocked at her question, skin upon forehead wrinkling slightly as he attempted to sort out what it was exacally she was asking. It was the strange way in which it was worded that confused the male slightly. Power was simply too broad of a term. She could have been refering to his exceptional physical ability or his rather advanced mental ability. The bloke was saved, however, from further comtemplation by the fatal's clarifying of what she was asking. Instantly, a broad and rather amused smile broke out upon features and lips parted to release laughter, crown shaking in a negative reply while he gathered his composure once more. No. I can not read minds I am just very good at reading people. Although, really, the credit for such a "talent" is due to more than just my being a shifter. My father also had a knack for noticing certain particulars about people. Grin shone down at her, the man hoping in the back of his mind that she did not get the wrong impression from his outburst of laughter. He had not been laughing at her, but at the thing which she had thought he might have had the power to do. The idea had not really surprised him for little could do so outside of the little miracles of everyday life, but when one was used to the abnormal, suddenly everything that is normal becomes precious and sought after. Orbs watched the fea as she reached out towards his arm, obviously wanting to feel the excess heat his body gave off. Soft chuckles escaped at her comment, bleached depths showing that he was not uncomfortable with the situation and was actually enjoying himself eminsely. Sometimes it's not so fun. I tend to overheat easily in the summer months, but living up north and in the woods helps with that a bit. Further away from the equator and there is always plenty of shade. Soft frown twisted guise when the maiden pulled away, her cheeks turning a brilliant shade of red. A reaction which answered his unspoken question promptly. Figure moves closer to the damsel, leg and side pressing against her's while arm moved to wrap around her shoulders, nose brushing against ebony locks just above her ear. Don't be embarrassed or uncomfortable around me. There is nothing you could do that would make move away. I enjoy being closer to you and my warmth does have its positives for you. Vocals whisper against her hair, hot breath coming out of his mouth and rebounding off Faerie's skin and spreading far enough down to where he could feel it upon his brest bone. Mask leaned away from her tiara then, allowing enough room for her to move if she wanted and his grip upon her shoulder was nearly nonexistant, the weight of his limb not yet completely resting across the crest of her shoulders in order to let her know she could easily be free of his hold.
