There were no sure fire answer to whether she was going to remember or not and that was the hardest part when it came to the accident, she might try as hard as she could and never end up remembering so it would all be a waste and she did not want people wasting time on her when they were not going to get anything out of the deal. So when she stood there and looked at the large cat in front of her at first with a blank expression and then all the memories started flooding back above all else the relief was what hit her the hardest she could not believe that she was actually remembering and tears immediately sprung to her eyes as she whispered a thank you to Raphael and there was no holding back as she crossed the distance to the man. She was sure that if it came down to it and she never did quite remember that she would have fallen right back in love with Donatello, he was just that type and already when she had been clueless there was still the same spark between the two of them that she might not be able to explain but she did feel. So even if her memories never returned and he was not too torn by that she was sure that they would have been in the same place but there was too many good memories for her to allow that to go and now that they were all flooding back from the cat that stood in front of her she needed a hug more than anything and even though she had been told over and over again all week that everything was going to be just fine and that she was going to get over all this this was the first time where she really did feel like everything was going to be fine. She could get through this now, there were only physical injuries that were left to overcome and that was nothing when mentally she was back to the same person she had been before the accident. She knew that with head injuries that people tended to get grumpy and not act like themselves but how was it possible for her to be in a bad mood when she had the best support team that anyone could ever ask for. Donatello was trying so hard and while it was frustrating when she did not understand for the time being his intentions were good, same with his brothers. Seeing him back in human form it was nice to actually have his arms back around her and she realized how much she had been missing as she felt her heart clench as her face was buried against his chest to hide the fact that she could not help the tears that were falling, so much stress and it was just coming out in a minor break down. He smiled in his brothers direction when he stated that they were even now considering the zoo incident, all of which was becoming quite clear for her now. She was able to actually remember the details about it as well which was a miracle for her. Managing to stop the tears a deep breath was taken glancing up at him when he asked why he would ever give up on her when she was the best thing that ever happened to him. I don't know I thought you might get frustrated. She knew that it was not the best answer though since it did not make too much sense since she knew that she would never give up on him either. Even if I never remembered I still would have fallen back in love with you, I already was. She uttered softly. He commented that they would get everything figured out in time and there was a small smile that crossed her face. No need, I have everything that I could ever need right here. She stated. He commented that his food was not as good as she remembered and eyes were rolled in his direction. I will have to be the judge of that, of course a very successful restaurant is no indication of how good your food is, never. She teased carrying the bags with him in the direction of the kitchen. She watched him leaning against the counter of her kitchen enjoying just watching him cook when he stepped up closer to her and wrapped his arms around her again. When he asked her how her arm was she flexed her fingers lightly under the cast with a small smile. Almost back to normal, they take the cast off next week. She uttered with a cheery smile. It was going to take a little while to get back to normal but she was well on her way and could not wait. Closing the distance between the two of them when he stated that he had invited her to move in with him before the accident a hand was placed against his neck before standing on her tip toes in order to kiss him, it had been so long since the last time that her heart felt like it clenched and her stomach was fluttery. Pulling back away from him her eyes did not leave his for even a split second. I want everything to go back to the way it was right before the accident, nothing different. Of course I will move in with you. Even by the minute my mind seems to be sorting itself out. We were supposed to meet for lunch when I got into the accident.. She stated quietly. Another thing that she was able to pick up on of course she remembered the fight that they had as well and the escape from the zoo with his brothers but those were things that were not going to be brought up, they were not important and they were in the past and now with a new renewed sense of seize the day she was going to deal with the hurdles that life threw at her.

The entire time, he had to tell himself that she was going to remember, he would not settle to listening about how it might happen. He needed to know that it would, no doubts or anything else. Keeping himself hopeful was a large step and did a lot for him overall. He could not lose her and all the times they had had together, that was decided already. But recently he had gotten a little more bothered that she had not been able to recover anything from everything he'd tried but he never let this show. He could not let her see the frustration or it would turn them both into a mess, already that had happened to him and not gone well. This was the woman he loved and he would not allow her to be left behind after such an accident. He needed to stay strong in order for her to do the same, he knew this and was committed to it even if there may have been small moments of doubt. When she uttered that she remembered behind the tears, it was all that it took for his heart to start pounding in his chest, the relief washing over him completely with this as well. All he had been wanting was something to trigger it and yet the one thing that had he had refused to follow through with on his own. He really did owe his brother for this although he was much too focused on Ardeil, having missed the way they were together instead of her looking blankly at him when he tender words in his native tongue.Aside from the fact that she remembered, nothing else mattered as he was completely overjoyed with this fact. He knew that she still had some physical damage from the accident and was careful as he could not refrain from wrapping his arms around her, missing the feeling as that too had been something that he had not enjoyed getting used to. Friendly words were exchanged with his brother though he was soon looking down at Ardeil, holding her close and uttering softly to her as he acknowledged the tears falling against his shirt. Tesoro, ti amo. He uttered, letting his fingers run lightly to smooth her hair. Meeting her gaze as she voiced her fear of him giving up, he shook his head gently, tucking hair behind her ear. When I did get frustrated, it was with myself- knowing that I failed to protect you from this. Murmuring this quietly, a soft sigh was uttered. His expression softened even more so when she admitted that she would have fallen back in love with him and already had been. Running his thumb gently along her cheek, he could not help the light and bright smile that came to his features. When in my life did I come so lucky as to deserve a woman like you? The mood left from serious to light hearted in a moment's notice as they had just before the accident. He started fixing them dinner before returning to her again, not enjoying distance between them as he had had more then enough of that recently. Asking about her arm out of worry, he was relieved as she soon explained that it would be free of the cast within the week. I am glad. He murmured, attention soon caught completely on Ardeil as he was aware that she had moved even closer. The hairs on the back of his neck stood on end simply from the placement of her hand on his neck, breath hitching in the slightest as it took nothing for her to cause such reactions from him. Brown eyes did not waver from hers as she pulled away and he had forgotten what he had been waiting for her to say until she readdressed him. I have never heard something more perfect in my life. He admitted lightly, grinning at her acceptance of his offer. She added about them meeting up for lunch and he nodded with a bleak expression. I should have picked you up...then things might have been different. Biting his tongue, he let the subject drop since he knew he would be getting himself in trouble for acting this way over it. Looking up only because Raphael had entered the room, he quirked a brow at his brother in wanting to know the reason for his appearance. " At least he should not be half as pathetic now." As usual, the snarky comments were never left to rest. What's your excuse then, Raph? He stated evenly, rolling his eyes and not allowing his brother to get the better of him given his current mood. It's unfortunate that Ardeil does not have a sister. He shot back though quickly glanced apologetically to his girlfriend since he may have stepped out of line with that comment and realized it soon after. Loosening his grip on Ardeil's waist, he turned off the stove and then stepped away to grab servings for dinner for the three of them and set them on the table.

She did not allow herself to think of the what ifs anymore, now that she was well on her way to remembering all that happened and things were flying back at an alarming rate there was no use to dwelling on it. She was feeling more at home than every with Dontatello and she could not help but grin like a fool the entire time she caught his glance. There was so much to remember though and it was all a little overwhelming to come rushing back in the way it did like a wave that crashed over her, the sight of the large feline managed to trigger it and she was so glad that Raphael had come up with that idea because what if it never happened would she have remembered from something else eventually she could do nothing but shrug it off though since none of it mattered anymore, she had her boyfriend back, she was alive and she was healing so nothing could be more perfect. She could not believe the patience that he seemed to have for her, after all a week of trying to trigger her memory set them both at their wits end and even though it was not her fault for not remembering it was still something that was terribly frustrating for them both. Everything was so emotional and for so long she had managed to hold herself together so she was a little embarrassed that she was crying against his shirt with her face buried in his chest not wanting to let go. There was nothing that she needed more than where she was right now and clinging to him almost like she thought that if she let go that he might disappear. She did not want to think about that and she did not want to ever let go because this was the hardest thing that she had ever gone through and the fact that they had gotten to the other side of it proved that they were going to stay together through anything and that their relationship was stronger than either of them could explain. The Italian words were so familiar from him and she glanced up at him sheepishly wiping the tears from her cheeks and biting her bottom lip. I love you too. She uttered softly to him. He tucked the hair back behind her ears and when she stated that she was scared that he was going to get frustrated he told her that the only times he was frustrated had been when he had thought that he should have protected from this and she shook her head vehemently reaching up to touch his cheek and place her hand there. Stop that. She uttered. There is nothing that you could have done to protect me, I was driving not doing something death defying. She told him softly. He asked her when he had done something to deserve her and there was a bright blush that touched on her cheeks. I ask myself that all the time, how can I be this lucky? She stated softly before then turning to walk with him in the direction of the kitchen which felt easy and natural between the two of them. She did not want to be too far from him so she chose to sit on the other side of the counter leaning forward on the stool but she knew that she was much too tired to stand the whole time. When he asked about her arm and she told him that cast was going to be gone in the next week he seemed pleased with that news. She could not resist standing again though and moving in his direction stepping close to him and placing her hands on his neck, her stomach was fluttering wildly and she could feel her heart beating erractically and it was just a reminder of how much she really did feel for him. Gaze hardened when he stated that he should have been the one to pick her up and then maybe it would not have happened and she shook her head again. Don't say that, none of it matters. I am here now and everything worked out. She told him. She glanced up from where his brother stepped back into the room again and there was a small smile that crossed her face. He did not seem to be in the best mood though so she leaned back against Donatello where he stood with his hands on her waist. When Raphael commented that Donatello should not be half as pathetic now she just ignored it all because there was no use the two of them getting in a fight right now because she was in too good of a mood ansd she did not want that to damper, they could fight tomorrow but Raphael was just being ridiculous. Enough you two. She uttered and then stepped to the cupboards to help Dontello set the table and bring what he had cooked to the table as well where it was set down and they were able to serve it out. She took no notice of the comment about her having a sister and just sat at the table with a small smile. Knowing that after dinner at least she would have her boyfriend all to herself since she was not ready to let him go after feeling like she had been apart from him for so long.

Even by now he was still trying to rework the situation in his head, trying to figure out how in the world he could have prevented it. He refused to accept that it could not be prevented right away, no matter what anyone told him. Yet now he was not as busy worrying about this since his attention was on the woman that now remembered him, she was the same just as before the accident though a few scrapes had been added since practically. In time, it would brush past and be back to normal again. That was his own plan at least, of course he wanted the normalcy with Ardeil to come back again. He missed it, more than he could bring himself to explain as no one would understand as far as he was concerned. Even if she was still alive, it felt like she had been ripped away from him and he knew that it could have been very close to happening in the first place. It felt nothing more at home than to have her in his arms and he did not care that she was crying against his chest as he understood the reasons behind it in a vague way, she had had so much stolen away from her in the process as well. His arms wrapped tightly around her and he stood there with strong emotions washing over him, this woman had borderline became his everything and to have experienced that trauma was enough to send him reeling as well. He did not want her out of his line of sight practically and wanted to hold her at arm's length as much as possible as ridiculous as that probably sounded to most. This was the time where he definitely wanted to be the rock in the relationship that she could hold onto, that she would be reassured that he would not go anywhere and be wherever she wanted him to be. The words that had been on the tip of his tongue since the accident were once again spoken aloud and he smiled lightly when she looked up to repeat them in English. Focus was entirely on her, soft expression masking his face as he tried to comfort her, explaining the only frustration that was with himself, wanting to have been able to protect her in every way possible since that was just the way Donatello was known to be. She was not the least bit pleased with his mention and he could see this, gaze being met directly by hers as her hand rested gently on his cheek. Ardeil, I've never felt so helpless as I did when I heard of the accident... He was truly ashamed of himself in taking so long to find out, for not knowing what had happened immediately and then to be unable to do anything for her aside from try to jog her memory with his helpless stories. He had wanted to will her to remember to do something, anything to trigger it but he had not been the successful one- his brother had achieved what he had been working for. Noticing the color that came to her face, he could not help but grin lightly once she uttered that she asked the same thing to herself. As he was cooking, he did not pay so much attention to what he was doing as often as dark eyes darted to look over in her direction as she sat on the other side of the counter, cooking was a routine thing to him so therefore it did not require much thought on his part and the distraction was very much welcomed in his mind. When she got up, he was at first a little skeptical until he did not take time to catch on and step closer to her as her arms were wrapped around his neck. Though his comment was one to ruin the moment, trying to claim that he should have picked her up instead and once again she was not thrilled with this response. Sighing, he nodded simply and let the subject drop as was requested and kept himself content by holding her close. Lifting his line of sight from Ardeil, he was a little intrigued by his brother's entrance as he waited for Raphael to say something as he always had plenty to say no matter what. And today was no different, the irritable side of his younger brother showing its colors effortlessly. Donatello jumped to defend himself and in the meanwhile shot back at his brother until his girlfriend spoke up to be the one to settle it. There was no need for the bickering now, the younger enjoyed picking fights, especially when it was so easy for him. His joking comment surprisingly did not receive any sort of glare from Ardeil but was left to roll off his shoulders as they took care of dinner for the three of them. He sat next to Ardeil, catching her hand and intertwining their fingers beneath the table for a moment before reluctantly letting go. The dinner did not last long and remained relatively quiet between the three of them and after taking care of the dishes, he turned back to Ardeil to quietly announce his plans. I'll run Raphael home, do you want me to stay here tonight? He asked quietly, double checking in the first place and aware that if she said no that it would be against his own wishes but hers would always come first. After receiving a response, he left with his brother in to and was relieved that the car ride was both quiet and short. He grabbed some clothes for himself and left his brother, who now had a car to get him to and from work. Returning to Ardeil, he had calmed down a little more after dropping off his brother and not having to worry about a possible fight breaking out between the two of them. Now his undivided attention could be exactly where it needed to be without any interruptions.

There was no way to prevent what she had gone through and he needed to come to a realization of that, it was just something that happened and was just another bump in the road of their relationship to prove that the two of them could get through anything together and therefore it was not a bitter feeling even if she realized how close she had been to losing everything. It was just a reminder of how lucky she really was and a reminder of how amazing her boyfriend was since he was there for her every moment of the way and even took time off work so that she would be able to see him more. He was there when she needed him the most so therefore if there was ever a situation where he needed her it was going to be the same for him, even if it already would have been the case before all this happened. The fact that his brother had been the one to trigger the change that brought back her memory was just a coincidence who knows it might not have even been what triggered her memory maybe it was just that time that she was meant to remember it was impossible to prove that even though the large feline version of Donatello felt very familiar to her. It was not like she had seen him shift very often, in fact the only time was the night that she had rescued him from the zoo but that was one of the most powerful memories. She certainly wanted to remember that one with all her force. It might have been a strange way for the two to meet but who wanted to have a sort of boring first encounter? He did not seem to mind that she was losing control of her emotions in resting her head against his chest but it only took her a couple moments before she took a deep breath in to calm herself and then step back to allow him to finish cooking. When he uttered that he wished that he could have been there to stop the accident from happening and prevented it by picking her up instead there was no way she was going to allow him to think that way because there was nothing that was his fault. After the comment from his brother the rest of the dinner remained quite silent though she did glance up at the man quite often to make sure he was still there and not just a figment of her imagination she was off most of the pain killers now though so she really did not think that this was all a big mind trip, it was far to real for that and the warmth of his hand where it rested with hers was the biggest comfort she could have asked for. When the meal was finished she grabbed all the plates off the table and took them to the counter to clean them before nodding when he suggested on taking his brother home and then returning back. I would love that. She answered when he asked if he should return here for the night, she knew that she certainly did not want to spend it alone when she just got her boyfriend back. The two of them had practically lived together before the accident so why not just go back to acting the same way? She had just finished putting the now-clean dishes back in the cupboard by the time that he arrived back and there was a light grin that crossed her face when she stepped across the kitchen floor to be able to greet him at the doorway. So how about we reschedule this lunch that we were supposed to have until tomorrow, you can even pick me up if you prefer it. She asked, she really did not know what his plans were but he needed to eat at some point even if he was working at the restaurant. Stepping closer to him arms were wrapped around his neck once again barely able to keep her hands off of him. That did not change the fact that she was tired though since they had both been through so much in the last little while and a night in her own bed would surely do her good where she did not need to listen to doctors running in and out of the room and the sound of feet on the tiles of the floor because that had been what tended to keep her up the most. Taking his hand and moved towards the stairs and her own room. It was nice to see that everything was familiar now and something that she came to recognize. If her mind would have still been blank it would have been like entering someone elses room and she was sure that it would have felt exceptionally awkward. Pulling out a tank top and pair of shorts from her dresser sghe stepped into the bathroom briefly to change before then climbing under the covers. There was nothing better than knowing that he was going to be there when she woke up and she did not need to worry about anything at all. Everything was back to where it really should be. As soon as he changed and joined her she shifted until her head was rested on his chest and her own arms were wrapped around him, since she had just gotten him back in her life there was no way that she was going to be letting go anytime soon. There was nothing like getting to sleep with knowing that he was going to be protecting her all night long, and so she barely managed to utter a small good night and that she loved him before kissing him lightly and falling asleep. No nightmares about the flashing of headlights of the car that nearly ran her off the road happened when he was around and she was feeling a lot better by the morning.

Deep down, he knew that he could not have prevented this and that really it was time to get over it and move on but he wanted to think that he could have done something for her, that he was not this powerless.Sometimes that was just how life was though and now was the time to move on and get over it, after all she was still there and breathing which was everything he could ask for. It could have been far worse and this thought did not manage to escape him, ever.He could not forget how important she was to him, how much he really needed her around. It had definitely come into light after this incident and this made him want to keep her as close to him at all times possible but by now he was just a little more protective since she had just remembered everything and he was still very cautious about the accident. He would have never have had the guts to do what his brother had tricked him into doing, he would have been too scared to do anything like that since it was almost a guaranteed ticket to the nearest insane asylum or laboratory, neither of which sounded appealing. Plus he did not believe that the change would have triggered it, she had seen him like that once compared to all the other times they had been together, that was absolutely nothing. Had he helped anything at all by covering up the true story on how they had met? He was not certain if he had dropped more information if it would have benefited but now that was not something that mattered as did the fact that she now remembered. While she seemed a little shaky, he was calm and collected, standing with her and simply trying to soothe her but not make a fuss. In the best way he could without having experienced the same thing, Donatello understood. It held a lot on your emotions and was not something to just blow over, it was a stressful and emotional situation and there was nothing wrong with the way it took her a little while to compose herself. As usual, he was just happy that he could be there to help her. He was too busy backtracking and he realized it, it was time to just leave the past in the past and be happy with the fact that she was here now, that was the important thing. The commentary between he and his brother soon died off and he was caught looking at Ardeil just as much as she was him, wanting to make sure that she was in fact right there by him.Making the suggestion of leaving his brother at home, the trip was short and quiet as Raphael returned to a spiteful mood and Donatello lightly thanked him but that was the extent of their conversation as the younger was left behind, now having a car that could run on a good day at least. He was more than happy to have her just to himself again, wanting to get rid of his foul brother so they could have a peaceful night rather than deal with his bad attitude. He did not want for her to be alone either as he missed her too much and the feeling of an empty bed was still not one he could adjust to. Stepping in the doorway, he discarded his shoes but was soon met by the smiling woman and he could not help but immediately smile broadly back in her direction. Yes, that sounds excellent. I'll come pick you up after I swing by the hotel to check on some construction they've started. He uttered lightly. As her arms wrapped around his neck, his hands rested gently on her waist, the exhaustion was easy to tell between the both of them and it was obvious that they were both tuckered out from everything. The sleep he had gotten lately had been limited and practically useless, there was always something there to disturb him it seemed. Following her lead, he glanced over to assure that she did not look lost and was relieved as she easily walked to where her dresser was and grabbed out the clothes she wanted. He really had to convince himself that she really did remember everything but he quickly dismissed that while waiting for her to change and then changing into a pair of shorts and a loose t-shirt himself. As he joined her under the blankets, his arm fell across her lightly as she was laying close to him and he breathed a small smile of contentment and relief. The words were returned to her with a broad smile before he watched her drift off and followed suit not long afterwards. When he woke up next to her the following morning, it was difficult to want to move from the bed at the sight of the sleeping woman there next to him and knowing how serene she looked.Slowly climbing away from her, he was as quiet as possible in gathering what he needed before heading out the door to run home and take a quick shower. The few things at the main restaurant were smooth and quick but it was the new addition that needed some help. There was a small notch in the construction plan but the crew was able to work around it and while at the hotel, Donatello spoke briefly with Damien on the restaurant to make a few additional decisions. This was what he had been working for now, his hard work had paid off and he truly could not believe it still. Once he was finished with that, he sent a quick text to Ardeil. I'll be there in about twenty minutes. He did not want to be too short on time so therefore he decided that that should have been a decent number before finishing up on some access stuff and being able at last to drive away and head toward's Ardeil's house. He still had yet to decided where they should go for lunch so he realized he probably should make that decision soon.

She had already come to accept that there were just some things that were completely out of your power and rendered you powerless and he needed to realize that no matter what he was not going to be able to save her from everything. This accident that happened was one of them and it did not matter if he was not even a human he was mortal when it came down to it and while she looked at him as a super hero he did not have the ability to be two places at once or be able to read her mind and know what was going on at the split second that it happened nor did he have the ability to move at lightning speed like Clark Kent so he needed to realize that his hands were tyed in this as well. This was just something that happened that was a shitty situation but it brough them even closer gave her a taste of how much she really did love the man since she was sure that even not knowing him that she was falling back in love with him and reminded her that there was no way she wanted to lose him no matter what. He was right that it could have been a lot worse since she had just lost her memory for the better part of the week and so far she could recall anything her her past which meant that she was sure that she was able to remember everything and all the tidbits of memories that got them this far. The two of them were both protective about one another and she hated to see him as distraught as she had seen him in the hospital and she hated that she had been the one that had essentially caused it. She had no idea how long it would have taken her to remember if Raphael had not been there this evening to get Donatello mad enough to change forms but she was sure that at some point that there would have been something that triggered it, she really hoped so at least or she hoped that if this had not happened that eventually Donatello would have had the idea himself and used it as a last ditch attempt to get her memories back. Anyone else would have been terrified of the large cat that stood at the door when he shifted but the familiar tawny animal was one that she loved and adored. She knew that when she was standing with him that she was a little shakey but the entire ordeal was very overwhelming, she was dealing with a whole bunch of thoughts and emotions that had just flocked to her mind like they had never been there before and she was doing her best to deal with it all at once as well as realizing how lucky she was to have the man in her life. There was no one else that would have stuck with her in the way that he had. She knew that in the next little while she was going to have hard tim even allowing him out of her sight since she was feeling a little insecure about all this and when she finally did manage to take a deep breath she looked at him with a small smile plastered to lips. When he uttered that he was going to take his brother home she nodded and finished putting everything away from dinner meeting the two of them at the door and pulling Raphael into a light hug and whispering a thank you to him before kissing his older brother on the cheek and stepping back into the house in order to wait for the other man to get back. When she asked him if he would like to reschedule the lunch that they were supposed to have he told her that it sounded excellent and that he could come to pick her up after he checked on the progress of the construction at the hotel and a bright smile crossed her lips. She stepped closer to him not hesitating to wrap his arms around his neck drawing her body close to him. You have no idea how proud I am of you. She told him softly. You are doing things that people only dream about all their lives. She reached up to run fingers across his jaw. She had pleased that he seemed to be tired as well since she did not want to be the one that suggested that they go to bed since it was not even all that late but she was incredibly weary and it would be nice to get to sleep in her own bed for the night and then be able to wake up next to her boyfriend in the morning, the boyfriend that she was supposed to be moving in with from before the accident. That thought in itself made her grin. She knew that for the next little while he was going to be watching her like a hawk to see if there were things that she did not remember and that was just something that proved how much he cared about her. After stepping out of the bathroom after she changed she made her way to her side of the bed crawling beneath the covers with him. She had barely even managed to murmur that she loved him before falling into a light sleep, with his arm wrapped around her she felt protected but was much too tired to even move when he woke up the next morning, continuing to sleep for another full hour before getting up to do a few errands around the house and she went on a walk to clear her mind since she did not feel well enough for a jog yet but even just from being home for one day she was feeling a lot better. She glanced at the phone screen when a message was received and headed back to the house to get ready. See you then, miss you already. She typed and sent back to him before then taking a quick shower and blow drying her hair and changing so that she would be dressed for lunch.

He really was not going to forget any of this any time soon. Her condition had definitely taken its tole on him just because how much he cared for her and it was not like he did not worry enough on a daily basis yet that had only intensified it for him. Seeing her like that had killed a part of him as there was that nagging warning from the doctors, the what if about her condition never returning to what it had been. He had been adamant about getting her back and look where things were already. He could not have given up on her, there was not a day he was not there to visit her, not a time when she left his thoughts. He was in love with her, that had been known for a long while but now it was only a constant reminder as he would not lose hope in her. Knowing his brother would be happier the sooner he was away from the two, he took the hint rather quickly though he hated how moody the younger was being and wanted the sour attitude to be gone but fighting about it would not do any good right now. Somehow Raphael did seem to lighten up somewhat after being hugged by Ardeil and there was a small smile on Donatello's lips as he shut the door behind the two before making the short trip home and back. Soon he reminded himself that he would not have to worry about that, she would start moving in with him soon and he could not be more happy about that. With her arms around his neck, he was smiling broadly at her and wrapping his arms lightly around her waist while discussing their plans for lunch the following afternoon. I am just a very fortunate man. He uttered lightly, he did not brag about his success with his restaurant even if he probably had a right to but that was never his purpose in doing it. It was something he was proud of of course since he had come a long ways with it. With the second restaurant coming in he had definitely made good connections there as without Damien it would not have been happening in the first place. They both were rather worn out so he had no protest in going to bed that early, he was more than happy to have the privilege to fall asleep with her right there beside him as that was the way it was supposed to be for him now.He had had a difficult time sleeping given the stress lately so it was not long after he was listening to her steady breathing that he was drifting off as well though his job was what caused him to work earlier in the morning though it was difficult to want to leave in seeing her there so peaceful. Though now he needed to step back into the role of his job since he had been a little slacking lately and he needed to make sure everything was running as it was supposed to, not that he honestly had any doubts with the staff that was in charge of everything. The atmosphere was just how he wanted it to be, like they were a family. Later on in the day as he was at the hotel's addition site, he stepped aside to check his phone and grinned at the response. Being finished for the day, he ran home to get ready himself and was soon deemed acceptable in the polo shirt and slacks, spritzing cologne before making his way out the door. He managed to pick out the restaurant based on a friend's recommendations as it was time for them to do something a little different for once. When he made it to Ardeil's house again, he knocked lightly out of habit but opened the door and walked in a moment later. Meeting up with her, he lightly kissed her cheek before reaching for her hand on the way out to the car. How was your day? He asked gently, before getting in the car and driving out to the lake where the restaurant was located. It was a floating restaurant that he had heard a number of people rant and rave about, and it had a view that people seemed to swoon over as well. Given the known lunch rush, he had called ahead to set aside reservations for the two and walked inside to utter his name to the hostess in order for them to be lead to their table outside on the little patio given the warm and sunny day. Reaching for her hand across the table, he hesitated slightly in bringing up the subject but brought it up anyway. She would let him know if she was uncomfortable with bringing it up then anyway. When do you want us to start moving stuff over to my house? He asked before quickly adding for her comfort. There's no rush of course, I'm just wondering. That probably did not sound the least bit suspicious but they had not really had a chance to talk about it prior to the accident and he liked to have some sort of estimate on these things but he would agree to anything she might have to say about it.

She promised herself that there was going to be no more thinking about what could have happened if she had not remembered and that she was only going to focus on the good now. Neither of them needed to think of what it would be like for her to never have regained the memories again because in her mind she was back to her regular self and she really did not feel like she was missing any of the pieces. She just felt tired and weary and that was why there was haze over her mind that settled there and refused to leave. She needed rest, she needed rest that did not consist of her staying up late at night fighting the medications they were giving her in order to try to prod herself to remember. It was almost impossible to sleep there when there were things beeping all night long if not from her then from the other people in the room and sirens going off at all times of the night when the rest of the people were being brought in by ambulances. A night in her own bed really did sound perfect right now and she could not wait for Donatello to be there as well. It did not take him long to get back from dropping his brother off and really it did seem strange to her that Raphael did not appear as awkward after she hugged him but that was all allowed to just drop by the wayside when her full attention then turned to her boyfriend as his arms were wrapped around his neck when he walked in the door. He told her that he was just a very fortunate man yes he might be fortunate but that was only because he worked so hard. She had long since finished cleaning up after the dinner that they had and therefore there was nothing more that she felt like she needed to do before they went to bed and she was glad that he seemed to have the same idea as her for an early night as they climbed the stairs to her room, she would have just as gladly stayed at his house tonight but given that it was another drive away that did not settle too well with her when she was already ready to crash and barely made it through changing into what she was going to wear for the evening and settling down into bed before her eyes were closed with only a brief utterance that she loved him before the unconscious world took over. Waking up in the morning to the side of the bed that he had been in feeling cold was not a good feeling but she knew that if it had been a normal morning she would have long since been up with him and ready to start the day at the same time. She knew that he was off to work this morning and therefore was not too worried. She gave herself extra time for a shower and then to change before she walked around the block after a quick breakfast. She needed a few more days before she was going to be back to normal and in the physical state from before the accident but she was getting close, she was no longer as sore when she woke up in the morning so she figured that was a good thing. It was not too long before the time rolled around for lunch and she was getting ready, knowing him it was going to be a place that was impressive so she made sure to dress in a navy cocktail dress that sat at the back of her closet never having been worn before. She was a lot more comfortable in a t-shirt and jeans but there were times like these that called for a special touch. She looked nothing like the girl that had been laying in a hospital bed not too long ago instead now brown hair was glossy and clean and fell in waves around her shoulders and eyes were bright with the anticipation of lunch and getting to spend more time with him. He reached for her hand that was offered right away and she walked with him on the way to the car grinning when he asked her how her day was. Uneventful, I went for a walk around the block but really that was all, how was your day? She knew that he would be at both locations of the restaurant today overseeing the construction at the hotel and then making sure that everything was running smoothly at the regular location. It was going to be a large job having two running restaurants in the town but if there was anyone that could handle it it was definitely him. When they arrived she noticed that it was a floating restaurant and before they could get out of the car she cast a strange glance at him. But you don't like water. She commented quietly for only the two of them to hear but allowed him to lead her in the direction of the restaurant and to where they were given a table for two before taking a seat with him. The place was amazing, the view that they had out the window was breathtaking and her eyes remained glued there before then glancing back at him when he asked when she wanted them to start moving stuff over to his house. I don't want to be a burden to you so I was going to wait until I was fully healed and then do it but as soon as you want me there. She told him with a small smile. Oh no, there is a rush because I don't want to let you go. She told him with a small smile reaching out across the table to take his hand lightly. If there was anything that the accident made her realize it was the fact that she never wanted to let the man out of her sight.

He was trying not to think about the what ifs but as usual it was something he tended to hold onto without thinking too much about it. There were times that you were completely powerless and in those situations he was very upset as he liked to be able to fix things and keep her safe but this whole incident had been out of his hands whether or not he liked to think about that. The two were both exhausted as the stresses had been getting to him and his sleep lately had been restless. He had purposefully given her the option of him staying there simply because he thought it would be easier on her, staying in her own house and avoiding another drive as he never wanted to push her into that. When he fell asleep it was much better compared to the nights as of recently and when he woke up in the morning he felt a ton better, smiling lightly at the sight of her asleep peacefully beside him. Had he not been so inconsistent about work lately and unfocused, he would have gone in later towards the evening but now it was deemed necessary for him to head in early to take care of things. It was not like there was much to do, just some checking up on progress before he would be able to return to his girlfriend. When that time finally came, he was caught off guard at the sight of her as he opened the door to find her in the same room. The attraction to her that had been there from day one still remained and he was left to beam like a fool at the sight of her. The woman never failed to be capable of taking his breath away and now was not an exception of that ability. Beautiful. He uttered to her gently, taking her hand with a broad smile on their walk to the car before inquiring about her day and nodding lightly at her explanation. Mine was rather boring. Some paperwork, as usual; along with checking the new development which is going pretty well. He stated lightly, he was very proud of his restaurant and establishment but was never the type to brag on any terms. He had worked hard on getting there but still counted his associates for a lot of the things that got done since he had definitely made connections with the right groups of people by all means. The drive to the restaurant was relatively short and he almost wondered if he should have found somewhere closer that they could walk to although she looked pretty at ease which was a relief. He did not want to upset her after all of that and definitely understood in case she felt hesitant about cars now. He did not want to push her out of her comfort zone by any means and he would accommodate to however she felt comfortable.Stepping out of the car with her, he paused when she was looking at him quizzically though he should not have been surprised given the setting. Shrugging lightly, he looked at her with a small smile. I'm coping with it. He uttered while feeling slightly triumphant in admitting this before walking with her inside to where they were to be seated. It was long past his time to actually deal with it all, the accident had happened years ago and he just needed to move forward.Even he managed to look at the view before looking back to redirect his attention to Ardeil, keen on forgetting the fact that the restaurant was not on solid ground. Shaking his head, he smiled lightly at her. You'll never be a burden to me. I'll take care of it, I want you there as soon as possible. He stated with a broad smile, squeezing her hand lightly across the table. His attention was on her more than ever, not wanting to let her disappear. He wanted things to go back to normal as soon as possible but now it did not seem like he was going to lighten up with not having her around now. He was more protective than ever although he knew better than to let it get the best of him since they had fought last time that had ended up happening. They had discussed her moving in with him before the accident while they were in Crete so he was more than ready to have her move in with him but he wanted to respect her own decision, it was just a relief to him that she did not mind moving in so soon. When the waitress came over and asked for their drinks and seemed to be watching him a little more carefully, he did not even come close to noticing since he was still rather focused on the girl sitting across from him as he continued to keep a light hold on her hand across the table. He stuck with water for the time being and vaguely scanned the menu prior to deciding on the special for the afternoon. After placing their orders, he waited a moment before speaking again. I think we should try another trip to Crete soon. He uttered lightly, wishing the last had not been cut off with the fall of events and knowing that her parents would like to see her again, especially after the accident.

She was not really the type that needed to be kept safe in the way that he thought that she needed to be, it was nice to know that he was there for her when she needed it and always watching over her but she had survived this long and therefore he did not need to take responsiblity and feel guilty that she had been in an accident since that was just the way that it was meant to happen and nothing more than that it was not exactly fate because she did not believe in it and tended to think that it was as bogus as a lot of other things but she did think that things happened for a reason and the reason that this happened was to show her just how much she loved her boyfriend and how lucky she was to have him in her life that he was willing to start all over again even if she did not remember him at all. It was like a true life story of the Notebook but the ending was happy. She remembered, every little detail of them getting together and of him being a shape shifter and breaking him out of the zoo on an inkling that he might not be like the rest of the cats, what if she had gotten him out there to realize that she was wrong and that he was a kitty with just close to human thoughts? She thought about how crazy it seemed what she did and could only laugh, who else could say that they met their boyfriend from the wrong side of the bars at a zoo? All of that was such fond memories and she looked back on it now with a smile, something that she never wanted to forget but really what was even more exciting than being able to remember was the future. The fact that she was healing and feeling so much better even after just one day of rest in her own bed and moving in with him was going to be perfect. She could not wait until that day that she would not have to leave his side and she would not have to go back to her house to shower or to get a change of clothes or he would not have to do the same. She was not too sure how it was going to work out with his brother since the younger shifter had been acting a little strange around her lately and she really did not understand at all but that was just something that needed to be dealt with and she was sure that with time it was going to be perfect all over again. By the time that she changed she was feeling like she was on the right track to being the same girl from before the accident, she was still a little stiff but even with the walk around the block she was feeling better and it would only take a little time before that would be worked out completely out of her system. After dressing she opened the door to where he stood grinning from ear to ear at seeing her boyfriend standing there, enough to take her breath away everytime. How did she manage to catch his attention? Incredibly handsome. She murmured with a small smirk before taking a step forward to lay a hand on her chest and raise herself on her toes to kiss him lightly. As they walked to his car she asked him how his day had been and he answered that it had been good with some paperwork and then working on the development. I really want to see the progress, you should take me to see it soon. She told him, she was always interested in what he was working on. It was hard to feel hesitant about cars when he was the one driving and she always felt so at ease when he was around so therefore she was perfectly relaxed with a small smile on her face the entire time when they arrived at the restaurant. She smiled when he stated that he was coping with his fear of water and before he turned to walk away in the direction of the front door she pulled his hand so that he would turn around to face her, before she stepped closer on her tip toes to look into his eyes. I am so proud of you, Donatello. She whispered before her forehead was rested against his chest briefly. When they took a seat and he told her that she would never be a burden her eyes were then rolled at him. I am a burden, I feel like an invalid. She expressed with an exasperated sigh. But I will let it slide this time because the idea of waking up next to you is too appealing and not having to go home to get changed or something along those lines. Her hand was placed in his across the table and she was glad for that contact because he might not have known the way that the waitress was looking at him but she could see it plain as day and it was to be expected. She ordered a water as well and the same as him when the waitress came back to take their actual orders. She was quite open when it came to trying different food. He told her that they should try another trip to Crete soon and she tilted her head at him. Only if you want. I am quite content to just being around you here. She expressed softly. Of course I am not going to say no to the idea because I love going back to where I was raised and I always miss my parents but I don't want you to feel like we are obligated to go back since the trip was cut short because I love being here with you just as much. She uttered softly to him.

The shifter side of him really harbored the idea of protecting and it became a part of his personality really. He just wanted to feel like he could keep her safe even when he knew very well that she had lived perfectly fine without him for the last few years. When it came down to it, even he knew he was overreacting but he just worried about seeing her hurt but at the same time he had to step back and let her just do as she pleased. The accident had been inevitable and nothing he could have stopped. Every day something happened and that had been one of those cases but what it had done was truly make him realize how much she meant to him, how much he loved her and how he did not want her out of his life ever. He thought he had known that before while purchasing the ring but now it was even a sharper, clearer realization for him. Every moment between them was something for him to look back on and hold onto, twice as strongly as before and to look at her and never allow a smile to leave his features. How had he managed to luck out like this after making a terrible mistake that had gotten him behind bars, at a zoo of all places? He really could not even bring himself to regret that day so much now as how else would he have ever met her? It was not like he frequented the zoo by any means, things had just fallen into place for them then and there and brought them up until the here and now. Had it not been the way they met, how would he have caught her interest by any means? After all, it was not like he was some exciting thrill seeker by any means. Her moving in with him was something he was looking forward to since it would give them a little more time together plus he could not argue with the thought of having her under the same roof as himself. She was already getting along better and he could see it, it set him at ease really to see that she was feeling better and closer to allow things back to normal. He could not refrain from grinning as she called him handsome, lips being met by hers soon after though he was not fully happy with the fact that it was so brief but it was something to get over as they walked out to the car. As she requested to go see the new addition, he nodded with a small smile. Of course. Right now it was still a little rough although he thought she might be interested in seeing the before and after comparison so he made a note that he would be bringing her for a stop by quite quickly. Even if he had been a little hesitant about driving to the restaurant, she looked ill at ease and therefore reassured him that she was doing just fine and there was nothing for him to start worrying about. He was caught off guard as she tugged on his hand and he was left to turn back to look at her, confused at first until she spoke up. Kissing the top of her head gently, he squeezed her hand before they walked towards the restaurant. Glaring at her though it was light, he shook his head. Never, stop being so dramatic. He uttered, his tone playful at the end although he was serious about her never being a burden. There was a light smile to cross his features at her next comment though as she agreed to moving in sooner, there was no reason for her to even worry about them taking care of moving her stuff. The two made their orders before he brought up Crete again and he was looking at her with a bit of puzzlement yet again before shaking his head. I do want to though otherwise I would not have brought it up. I know your parents would appreciate it as well and yes it was cut short although I enjoyed the time we spent there. He stated gently with a small smile. And after what we've been through recently, I really do believe that we could use a vacation. Grinning coyly at her, he squeezed her hand again before taking his away from the table as their plates were served. The food turned out to very good as he had heard and when the check came, he took care of it before she could even notice and then they were on their way out. Instead of returning to her house though, he went to where Damien's hotel was and then to lead her towards where the restaurant was coming along. Walking through the doors, he turned on what lights were in before smiling broadly at her. Well, this is it, for now at least. It still smelt of fresh paint and did not have much for furnishings as of yet but those were on the way. There were still some parts that were a bit iffy but it was still coming along quite nicely. Turning around while holding her hand, he walked her from one room to the next. This will be the kitchen, then the main office. He uttered, once both restaurants were going he would be scheduled different days at each along with an assistant to help in addition. He could not help but be proud of it, even if it was not much of anything yet but it was a start. Wrapping his arms around her waist as he took a step behind her, he rested his chin lightly on her shoulder with a grin. I just never imagined that it would come this far.

She more than appreciated the fact that he was so protective about her, it was not something that she was too used to since her parents were so relaxed and there was not too much trouble that she could manage to get into in growing up in the small island of Crete. So she had been allowed as a small child to have free roam of the island or at least the beach where her parents worked so that meant that she was allowed a lot more freedom than most kids her age and that was partly why now that she moved to the US that she was a lot more mature than a lot of people her age plus the fact that she figured out what she wanted to do when she was young and went through with starting it before she was even out of school. She grew up so often near water and on the beach that it seemed only natural for her to want to study the aquatic animals there and dive. There was so much to find out at the bottom of the ocean and she was bound and determined to see as much of it as possible even if she seemed to be taking a break right now in order to work for the zoo but really she did not even know how much longer that was going to last if she kept needing to break her boyfriend and his family out of behind the bars there that were not meant for the shifters in the first place but that was something that she even had to laugh about herself. Not too many people were able to say that they met their boyfriend in the way that she had met Donatello and it was a story that she loved to be able to keep to herself. She loved the idea of having met him in a way that was original and not like other people meeting in a coffee shop of the gym or other things that seemed so mundane because he was far from normal in her outlook of things, he was special. She was pleased that he was back at the door when he was because she had been waiting all day in order to be back around him and it seemed like too long since she had seen him last even though it had just been that morning when he had left, she was not wanting to allow him out of her sight when she could help it because it was nice to be back remembering things from before the accident and she knew now more than ever that she needed to cherish every moment of being around him. He promised her that he would take her to see the new restaurant soon which was a good thing because she did not like to feel like she was out of the loop where that was concerned. She had only seen the very start of the restuarant before he had even sealed the deal with Damien. So really it had not been anything at all at the time, she had just seen the place where it was all planning on being put. He glared at her when they arrived but she knew that it was more playful than anything else as they walked into the restaurant to be given a seat where they could look over the entire spanse of water in front of them. He commented that it was not a problem to help her move in and she did not feel so bad about not being able to do too much now that he said that. She nodded when he stated that he would not have brought up the idea of Crete if he did not want to go and that was a good thing because she did not want him to feel like they were obliged to go back even though their trip had been cut short. She smiled when he stated that after all that they had gone through in the last little while that they deserved a vacation. I suppose you are right about that, plus the thought of being back to where I was born and raised and getting to share all that with you is so appealing. She whispered across the table. It did not take long at all for all the food to then be brought out their direction and set in front of them after they had made their orders and the food was delicious, his choice of restaurant was impeccable. She glanced up at him through dark lashed with a cheeky smile. This is delicious, though I can not say that its the best food I have had, the best food I have had was made by a certain restaurant owner I know. She teased. She was not even given even the slightest option to pay for the meal but she was resigned to just promise herself that she would make it up to him at a later date as they made their way out the door and back into the car. They did not turn towards where they both lived but rather in the direction of where she knew the hotel to be and they pulled into the parking lot there before she reached for his hand to walk hand in hand with him in the direction of the new location for the restaurant. As she was led inside she looked around the place when he told her that this was it. Glancing at him when he told her where the kitchen and the main office was going to be. I think I can picture it, is it going to look a lot similar to your current restaurant or are you going to furnish it differently? She asked him genuinely curiously. He stepped up behind her in order to rest his chin on her shoulder and she grinned when he stated that he did not think that it would come this far. Why not? She asked turning to face him. You work so hard, but its all so amazing.
