Ever since she was in grade school she never seemed to really fit in anywhere, a lot of the children thought that she was a mute since she was so shy. She tended not to speak unless forced which made it quite hard to make friends. Since she lived on a little island off the coast of Greece though a lot of the people knew eachother since they were in diapers so as time went by she started to get a little more accustomed to talking to people and eventually made a best friend name Aya. Her and the other girl were inseperable. During the summers the months were spent at the beach having bonfires and playing tag since it was the heightened time of the seasons for Crete, being a tourist town. The island was small enough that you could drive from end to end in a day in the car so not a lot changed every year. It was a fabulous place to grow up though in a small tightly knit community but it was also a place that the stranger people tended to stick out like sore thumbs. So when the young girl started to develop a strange affinity for different languages she told her mother and her mother not knowing what to do took her to a therapist. So when the person tested her he spoke to her in several different languages none of which she knew and she understood they were baffled. And like most small towns when word of this got around a lot of people steered clear of the freak. Her mother was able to see how this was affecting her and moved her onto the main island of Greece where all the testing stopped and she was allowed to live a normal life for the rest of grade school and part of high school where she tended to lead a little more of a normal life. She was smart and had great grades ending up being quite popular with her easy going temperment and laid back attitude. Her talent for languages did not end in just human languages as time went on she found that she was able to interpret different things that animals were saying as well. She had grown up around simple pets like cats and dogs and suddenly they were able to feel as though they were talking to her. It was something that was so strange to get used to but it worked to her advantage since she had a love for animals that only started to grow. So when she was hired at a barn to work around some horses she took and instant liking and the year after she graduated worked for the Spanish Riding School in Spain with the Andalusians. A dream job that all the girls were so jealous about when she told them on the last year of her school. From there she went back to school to study Marine Biology. And took interest in deep sea diving. Her job forced her to move to America and leave her mother behind. Today she had been called out to the zoo which was not her normal job. She parked her car at the front and passed through the security with the flash of her ID before heading in the direction of the place where they kept the turtles that were all falling ill with some sort of disease. She would know nothing until she took the blood samples though and this was the only thing that she had scheduled for today since she knew that it might take longer then she wanted to admit since they would be hard to get out of their habitat even though they had been locked in one place. She made a quickl beeline over to the tanks and was stopped by a hand on her shoulder and it was her partner and a quick smile passed over lips. Hey. Ready for this? She asked. The guy had not been involved in the field of work for very long but he was looking quite promising so she had taken him on as an apprentice to work under her. It was a little more simple then she was expected since she was able to sooth the turtles with a calm and gentle voice and took blood from two of them before releasing them back into their cages. She turned back to her partner. Well, I did not know that was going to go so well, this is all that I had planned for today so you can have the rest of the day off. She then made her way back out into the zoo wandering and looking at the animals. They all looked realitively happy considering they were stuck in pens that were a feeble attempt to make it look like where they would be living in the wild. Though the zoo did do the best job that they were able to do so she did not complain and all the animals were kept in good shape. She paused once she reached the display of big cats. Stopping in front of the cage, one looked new to the zoo and seemed to be a little more on edge then the rest. The others were just thinking of their next meal but one seemed to have a little more of a complex thought process which caught her attention and was a little strange.

A stinging sensation hit one of his legs as he lurked about the familiar forestry. And then another one. A growl came from the giant felines throat, and he turned back to check out what the heck was causing the numbing sensation to spread through his frame. The darts were a blur as his body swaggered before collapsing to the ground and everything started to fade. Breathing was unusually slow, the sound of humans surrounding him on every direction. His muzzle was bound in cloth and rope, his legs restricted together with a stronger cord. A silent prayer came to his mind, praying that his body would not shift in any way while in the eyes of humans. And there was nothing he could do, his world faded to an eerie black. The steady, annoying beeping came from a machine that was inside what smelled like a doctor's office with the hint of wet canine. Lids opened into slight slits, knowing that if he fully awoke that more sedations would be used. Needles were drawing blood and injecting vaccines and he had no idea what they were going to do with him in the end. He was desperately fighting to stay as a cat, filling his mind with the thoughts of a wild animal. Another injection caused him to sleep, and when he awoke this time, he was in some sort of habitat. As he steadied himself to his feet, he instantly ran towards the bush, gazing up in horror at the sight that came out before him. The thick iron bars surrounded the outside of the confinement, as well as a wall of chain link followed by fiberglass. Rumbling voices that he now could understand came to his head, most of which were complaining about when they were getting fed again. This was just great. He was going to live the rest of his life alone. In a cage. As a cat. No one would notice he was gone, well at work at least not for another week. Of course he took his vacation and then get captured. Not like they would make the connection anyways. Man goes missing, leopard is found. He could already picture the headlines now "Man goes missing, leopard is found near clothes..." Something about him having eaten himself. And then, he would be euthanized. Oh what a brilliant way to die. Dark tinged hazel optics stared at the small crowd that gathered outside of the cage with a bit of hatred, all the curse words the male could think of flowing through his mind. Two days of this nonsense now. The beast itself however, chose to pace constantly, tail lashing all the while. The whole thing was infuriating; being captured, shot with sedations, having needles jabbed into you endless times, and then being tossed in to a small box for about three days now. How aggravating it must be to actual wild animals. He wouldn't have been in this situation in the first place if he wouldn't have been so careless. And if those stupid kids hadn't been trespassing on private property. He should have paid more attention and known they were around. He should have watched the news and known that there was reported sightings of a leopard in the outskirts of the city. But now, he could not do anything about it. The crowds moved on and the animal sighed, glancing up quickly before stalking towards the wall and pressing two front paws against the brick. Gaze flickered to the ceiling, and all around the area but he failed to find any ways of escaping. Hopeless. Even as a human, he would have to have a key to get out and then he would probably be caught on video cameras or something. Then he would be turned into the government and be a science project that involved more needles. The stench of red meat was inhaled, yet all he did was stare at it. He hadn't eaten in the past 72 hours, and only exhausted himself further by pacing. Maybe he could starve himself to death and that would save him from humiliation. It would have PETA on the zoo's case as well which could be quite interesting. The male looked over to study a girl that was basically doing the same thing. He recognized her face from some magazine article on marine biology. Her name was something exotic, but he couldn't remember it; not that it mattered anymore. The only communication he would ever have again would be between him and the other cats. Steps were taken towards the outer wall until his face was inches away from the bars. Head tilted to the left slightly, tail twitching before wrapping neatly around his front feet in a normal feline movement. A sigh uttered into the air, vision never straying from the girl's face. Upper lip revealed sharp, white ivories that grazed over the iron fencing, though he didn't bite down, knowing it would inflict pain. Head resumed to its normal position, a foreleg extending towards the chain link and making it rattle. Nice move dumbass. He grumbled silently to himself, pulling back and stepping away before some staff members came around. He was in a rather foul mood from being captured, but who could blame him? Sto per morire qui. Native tongue sounded in his mind as it did every now and then. A snarl echoed out into the air as his gaze narrowed towards the girl. What? Do you want me to perform circus tricks for you? As if she could read his mind. He was a cat with claws, a tail, and all that jazz. Not that his life had been all that great before, but it had been a hell of a lot better than this. He had friends, a distant family, a business, a car, a house; every necessity plus a few luxuries. And now? He had nothing and would remain the rest of his life running in circles. I had a life. Eyes were closed in frustration at himself and his current situation. He wanted to take out every single one of his own problems on anyone that happened to be in his line of vision. The little kids were generally terrified of him, but the teenagers loved antagonizing him and enjoyed watching him try to fight back. And now he was starting to back down and surrender. What was the point?

The intoxicating stench of the cheap mystery meat hot dogs flitted through the breeze that ran over the terrain, of course since the big cats were the most interesting exhibit they were the ones that were allowed to be in the spotlight and people were able to sit at picnic tables and watch them as they ate. There was something a little too disturbing about the one cat that was standing there and staring at her. He was challenging her and revealed a sharp set of teeth though she did not back down knowing there was a large amount of steel between the two of them that would stop him. Interested expression mirrored on features as brow raised slightly in question though she did not speak simply observed, glad that it was a weekday and all the normal occupants were in school and it was relatively quiet. She could not handle being around the kicked and screaming kids, when she worked for the aquarium it had been bad enough and she felt bad for the fish that constantly got their glass of their tanks knocked on. It made her want to take a pair of pots and pans and bang it around the sensitive hearing of the small kids though she was sure that the parents would not think very highly of her after that and she would end up losing her job. She was sure that she would be able to get a job somewhere else since her name was quite known over in America though she wanted to make sure that she would leave all her options open. She had learnt to block out the many voices that ran through her mind at all times of the day though only now did she allow the connection to open sheerly through curiousity. What she heard coming from the leopard in front of her was a little different then the rest of the others that were stalking around the cage looking as if they were as placid as house cats. She knew that this one was new but he was not the same by any means there was something that made her feel as if he did not belong here. The thoughts were too human. When she had found her powers out she had started to wonder if her powers were the only kind that was out in the world so she took interest to things that people usually wrote about in books such as vampires and shape shifters, she did not know where she stood on the subject since she had never met one of their kind but she knew that it was highly possible that they were roaming the world as people like her were. He was wondering why she was standing there and staring at him and she was sure that it was strange for him though she was almost positive that it would not go through the other cats minds. He then stated that he had had a life. He seemed almost resigned, not scared and confused like a leopard would be that was just turned into a zoo animal since a leopard would have never known what a zoo was. Things simply did not add up but she got back to her feet. With an off chance that her powers might be strong enough she tried her best to transmit her thoughts to him. She was only able to do this with an animal. She was not able to speak any other language other then English, just able to understand any other human language. It was a strange feeling. You arent like the other leopards. What are you? She asked before standing back up to her feet. She wanted to find the person that was in charge of the leopard display and she found a guy that was just about ready to feed them and walked up to the fence. Hey can I speak to you for a moment? She asked and he looked back at her with a sigh. Can't you see that I am busy? He stated rudely and eyes narrowed a little in a glare. He then turned to face her to spot that it was someone who would be considered a superior. Oh my goodness. I am so sorry, what do you need? She placed her hands on her hips. What is the story behind that leopard where did he come from when was he captured? She asked the man. Oh, it was kind of strange. He was caught around here, I did not even know that we had leopards around here. He was found standing over a pile of clothing. She nodded with a small smile. Ah alright I was just curious. She dismissed this with one more shrug before then returning to the front of the cage. I better be right about this. She stated to him with a small sigh since she was sure that if she was caught doing what she was going to be doing tonight that she would be fired and her career would be ruined. But she was far too curious to just leave it. She knew that he would be put in a seperate cage for the night since they would not take a chance with the other two leopards before they knew that he would get along with them. So she needed to act fast before they deemed that he was alright to be put in with them over the night. She left the zoo with a plan already in her mind. She would not tell them that she was coming back since she did not want to placed on the scene since she was almost positive that she would be freeing one of the leopards tonight and they would not be a leopard. The moment that she got back to the apartment she was in a zoned out mood and walked straight to her computer looking up information about shape shifters. She was fairly convinced that this was the case by the time rolled around that she would be setting out. She did not want to be seen buying things like wire cutters so she was going to just use what she had gathered laying around the house. She had managed to find a set of wire cutters which she prefered not to have to use, she would be able to get in the front gate since she had a key and she had been there when the people had opened the gate and she had heard the man say the code in his mind so therefore it was something that came in handy for her and it was stored in the back of her mind. She did not want to drive there so she parked in a local park before getting out dressed all in black. Jogging along the perimeter she finally reached the front gate where she was able to get in easier then she thought. Stepping into the confines of the zoo and knowing from this moment on she would have to be on high alert since there would be a security gaurd wandering around at all time. She spotted the large male muttering to himself in one of the corners and stepped back up against a tree in the courtyard not even allowing herself to breath as he walked by a little too close for her liking. The large barn that the large cats were kept in was coming up soon but she would have to scale a fence and that would make a lot of noise. So she moved to the opposite side grasping a large rock. Hating that she was going to have to create a diversion for her to climb the fence and this was going to be a one time thing if she did not get over it the first time there would be no chance to do it again. So when she reached the edge of the large fence the rock skittered out of her hand making a large clang on a building opposite to the fence and she clambered over the fence not taking into account that there was a line of razor wire on the top that caught her shin before she dropped to the ground though she did not have time to think about it since she knew he would be turning to look in her direction in any moment and she reached the door. It slipped open concealing her in darkness, she was bleeding now and she was sure that the cats would be able to smell it so her heard was racing and blood pumped wildly through her veins. She looked over in each of the cages before finding the animal she was looking for in the last pen. Now is time to prove to me I am not crazy and you are what I think you are, I am not going to be happy if I just went through all this for nothing. She muttered. She had brought a pair of large sweatpants and draped them over the bar in case she was right and turned away. She was going to feel so stupid if she was wrong and he happened to just be a little more intelligent of a cat.

Every sound was distinct, hearing had improved as it normally did after the change. But the words that came from humans weren't as easy to understand any more, the longer he stayed in this form, the more his instincts seemed to become closer to that of a cat's. He then began to wonder if he was stuck in one form for a long enough amount of time if the change would become permanent and he would forget everything he ever knew in his previous life. He had no idea if such a thing were possible, nor had he ever thought to ask questions. He just took it slowly, trying to figure out the vital things and basically that was it. A different voice was deciphered, not that of another cat, nor was it human lyrics spoken aloud. The only one that was any where near him was the girl that remained in front of his cage. He went wide-eyed, extremely confused from this transfer of words. Was he now going delusional? Or was she graced with some sort of gift that involved communication? The question caused a bit of panic to scatter his thoughts, thinking that he somehow could have put himself and others similar to him in danger. Bewildered gaze watched the woman as she walked to a staff member, obviously saying something to him. The last thing he wanted was for her to say something about him behaving strange and point fingers at him, leading him to further endangering himself and possibly others. As if it would help him, he sprinted towards the back of the habitat and hid amongst the vegetation. Not that it would help him anyway. They knew exactly where he was. There wasn't a way he could get out without them being aware of it. The girl's voice was heard again and he grimaced. This was definitely strange. She spoke something about her being right, which in the way he was thinking was not good. It meant two things. More needles, and the government. Lovely. The sound of hands squealing and tapping on the outer fiberglass was very obnoxious, head lifted slightly to view the kids that were screaming now; claiming they wanted to see 'the big kitty'. All he was now was a display. He might as well have been stuffed. The rest of the day lasted forever, more kids coming later on after they were released from school. Yet, he never set foot near the front of the cage again, and found himself thinking over the strange voice again. How did things like that work? Well, he was a shifter, wasn't he? He didn't have the faith in anyone to share that with people, so it had always remained a secret. He felt like a freak. The sound of changing metal doors caught his attention with a jump, glaring towards the two other leopards that were eagerly awaiting to meet him through the iron bars. Wasn't he supposed to be in quarantine still? To save himself temporarily, he managed a few coughs and instantly the door was shut, but that didn't mean they wouldn't try to reintroduce them again. More lights went out, the only people who remained where the security guards. Another lousy night in this prison. Frame was sprawled out in the midst of the concrete not even making an effort to be comfortable. The scent of blood quickly got the other cats riled up, but it was more so the noise that got the actual male's attention. A figure appeared outside his containment, adorned all in black and his mind instantly analyzed the situation. Someone was helping him break out, or stealing him. The later of the two was much more believable. Parts of the phrase she spoke were understood and he realized it was the same girl from earlier. He stared at the sweat pants that hung before him and he realized the amount of trust it would take for him in this stranger to go through with the entire thing. He would take the risk and try and save his identity as much as he could in the process. Before he could doubt himself any more, his body began to change. Teeth were gritted as the bones grinded against one another until they returned to the correct sockets. Usually, the change wasn't as painful, but it was most likely just because he hadn't changed for what seemed like forever. He blinked momentarily, adjusting back to the light before sprinting over to the gate, which could be opened from the inside, if it weren't locked. But, luck seemed to be present tonight, because the last idiot that had gone through hadn't bothered to use his key. How ironic it would have been if a cat were to escape and attack him. Fingers carefully gripped the girl's forearm as he encouraged her to move forwards. Come on. Lyrics were hushed, but plenty loud for her to hear. The guards could be patrolling back through the building any moment. The male kept looking forward, not wanting her to be able to identify him later on. He couldn't trust her yet. The gleam of a flashlight outside the front door caused adrenaline to rush through his veins and without a second thought, he wrapped one arm around the girl's torso and his other hand covered her mouth to duck behind the garbage cans and picnic tables just before the light was flashed towards where they had been standing. It took a few moments for the patrolman to move on, the man kept absolutely silent, hoping that the girl would as well. She should, seeing as if they were caught, she'd be punished as well. Pazzo. The word came out in a half-hearted chuckle as he crept forwards along the walls again. Remembered of the side gate along the back of the building came to his mind. That would be locked now of course. He was about to ask how she had got in but then remembered the blood scent. She'd climbed over the razor wire. And before that? She either had to have a key or some sort of tool that would aid her break in. He took a step back and gestured for her to take the lead, assuming she had some sort of plan going on in her mind. If not, he probably could improvise, someway.

She ignored the fact that she knew that her leg was bleeding quite profusely and that was not good since there was a bunch of wild animals around her, though she did take the time as he was changing to mop the rest of the blood up so that it would not be suspicous and in the case that they took a DNA test she did not want to be placed at the scene of a crime and she could not believe that she was risking it all to rescue this person. Though she knew that if it was herself in the situation she would want someone to do the same for her and take the chance so as the golden rule tells people, treat others the way that you want to be treated. She was a true believer of that rule. She politely was turned the opposite direction until she heard the sound of footsteps behind her and turned to face a man that had turned into a human from the cat form. He was good looking and looked to be of European decent though she did not have time to even start to think about anything like this since she knew that it was only a matter of time before the other cats were going to start to get riled up and the gaurd would think that something was happening. She knew that they did not have security cameras except in the front since they did not need it because they paid for the security guy to be there 24 hours of the day. His words were lilted with some sort of accent when he told her to 'come on' and steps were nimble on the way out of the enclosure and she allowed the door to click behind them taking a step under the overhang knowing that they would still be out of view. Taking a moment to scan their surroudings she was pushed backwards with a hand pressed over her mouth and she bit her lip to make sure that no noise was emitted. She did have a plan since she realized that there was a small gap in the razor wire that had not been fixed and she moved in that direction along the fence jumping nimbly up the chain link when the man was on the other side of the zoo, he was all the way over by the turtles and would not hear what they were doing. She hopped down on the other side and turned to him. Hurry and he won't hear us. She stated gently moving to be under cover of the large oak tree in the middle of the center garden. She needed to think of how they would be able to get back out since she knew that the security cameras had not caught her coming in but they were on the way out. She had an idea as she then turned back towards the staff lounge knowing there was another exit she was dressed to not be able to tell how she looked with a mask over her face but he was not discreet enough. She jogged along the side of the pathway pausing when she spotted the gaurd, arm then moving to pull him along with her. She managed to slip into the building and sighed a breath of relief when she realized that the door was unlocked. She did spot that there was someone in there and eyes widened as she froze to the spot. She dragged him along with her before the person was out of the washroom reaching the outside world. She moved instantly to the small amount of forest that lined the zoo that they would be out of sight. She paused for a moment gathering her breath again and pulling off the ski mask to reveal true features pulling back long mocha locks into a pony tail. Strides were slow as she navigated the underbrush. You don't need to worry, your secret is safe with me. I am Ardeil by the way. She stated gently heading in the direction of the car. To do what she just did on a whim make her quite a brave person though the sense of accomplishment was overwhelming since it would have bothered her for the longest time if she did not investigate since she had just had such a true feeling that she knew that she had been right and that he did not belong. She stepped easily in front of him falling onto a small deer path and she knew that within a couple of moments that would reach the path through the park then it would be an easy walk. Once feet hit gravel gaze was then turned upwards to the moon.

He was completely baffled at the thought of this stranger coming in here and helping him escape without a real reason. He didn't understand. It was asinine. She couldn't be normal. He shouldn't have heard what he thought to be her voice in his head either. The man was quite relieved when the cats did not stir up too much noise, well enough for the guard to catch them being anxious. He knew very well that it was the smell of her blood more than anything that was tempting them. But there wasn't time right now to stop the bleeding, and she wasn't going to pass out right then and there. Then they'd both be in a large amount of trouble. His assumption that it was the same girl from earlier was proved to be correct at the scent of her shampoo that he recalled as he pulled her backwards. As soon as the watchman had left to the other side of the enclosure, he noticed that the girl had sprang over the fence which he was completely fine with. A graceful leap towards the top was taken, hands pushing off the top railing and landing almost silently on the asphalt. Thankfully, he could maneuver pretty quietly instead of charging along like a bull in a china closet. Not a single bit of hesitation nagged in his head as he followed after the girl towards the staff lounge. Obviously, she knew her way around the zoo quite well. Where he had just learned a brief summary of the layout tonight. He followed after as she entered the lounge, freezing was definitely not a good sign. He refused to breathe until she again dragged him along. A deep exhale was taken once they had made their way to the security of the small amount of forestry. A curious glance was cast in her direction as the mask was shed from her face. He was now able to familiarize himself further with her features, his prior remembrance rather vague. His gaze fell from her face to the ground, reminding himself that he probably wouldn't see the girl very often after this. She seemed quite interesting to him; very spontaneous and adventurous. He fell in step at her side and awkwardly shoved his hands in the pockets of the sweats. He was about to speak, being interrupted by her but smiling as she did so. The name was instantly recognized, it's originality being the main reason of course. He raised a brow with intriguing curiosity. Aw, now I remember you. Something to do with aquatic life, correct? I'm Donatello. The words were quiet, his thoughts elsewhere before he paused mid-step. And what is it that you are? You're not... completely human... He narrowed his eyes slightly, thinking that it was only fair if they both knew a tad bit of information on the other. An eye for an eye, sort of thing. She could not be just...average. And he could not have gone in such a state of delusion, especially with not have met her before yet imagined her voice almost to the perfect tone. There was an explanation, and it did not have anything to do with him having gone almost insane while being captured. It'd only been three days, he couldn't have gone into that much of a shock in such a short time period. He started walking again, following after her along the narrow path and awkwardly straightening his voice quietly. Thank you. I thought I was going to die in there... He shrugged his shoulders before straightening up and glancing down towards her a bit as they reached the sidewalk. I really don't think an IOU or just a thank you would cut it, so how exactly am I supposed to repay my debt? Once again, the eyebrow raised slightly higher than the other as he waited for a response from her.

It was awkward knowing nothing about the male besides the fact that he was a shape shifter as they walked side by side in the direction of where she had parked the car. She was still in awe that she had been the one to break him out, the confidence that it had taken had long since vacated and she was feeling feeble, glad that they were already out of the walls and that she did not have to perform any more stunts. The moonlight was bright enough that they did not need streetlights since the park did not seem to have any, the glowing moonlit orb was high in the sky indicating that it was late at night and much later then the time that she had set out, though she had little to no recollection of the time that had passed it had all been based on pure adrenaline. She knew that she would be exhausted for tomorrow though it was essential to make sure that she went to work since there would be some suspicioun about the escape or rather kidnapping of the leopard. She needed to make sure that she was there in fine form to make sure that there was no leads pointing to her she could lose her job or worse be put in jail. Its nice to meet you Donatello. She told him though she was looking straight ahead and she was intent on the mission at hand and the thoughts that were running wildly through her mind, the ones that she did not seem able to silence, the what ifs, the questions of the possibilites of them having seen her. She knew that they would have spotted Donatello in human form if they were caught on camera though so it would not appear as though they were kidnapping anything. They still could be pinned for the escape of the large cat though but it was not be as serious as an offense. But she truly believed that she would get away with it she was much too careful. When he asked what she was she flinched a strange look crossing her face as she turned to him. Not too sure if she should lie or tell him the truth though she eventually decided on telling him the truth since they might as well both have things that hung over one anothers head since she would never tell anyone about him being a shape shifter so she assumed he would not do the same. Well lets just say I have a strange affinity for languages. I can not read peoples minds but I can hear animals thoughts as well. I suppose that could be considered just having an affinity for communication. She was lost in her train of thought for a brief moment but turned back to him as she started to relax a little in his presence. No problem. She told him when he thanked her for rescuing him telling her that he thought that he was going to die. I was just praying that I was right, though your train of thought seemed to be a little too human for the other cats that were in with you. I just had a feeling. She told him, explaining a little of her reasoning for why she had known what he was. Brow was raised when he asked how he would repay his debt. There is no need for that, the thank you you already offered was quite sufficient enough. A small grin crossed stunning features and became plastered on features. For the first time eyes were then directed to him and met his for a brief moment before she turned back to where she was headed and continued along the bushes. Steps were easy and navigated the underbrush with ease. Keys were pulled from her pocket and the lights of the silver Ford Fusion flashed telling her that it was unlocked. The walk seemed to take a lot longer then when she had run through the bushes to reach the edge of the zoo the first time that night. She stepped closer to the drivers side, it was one of the only cars left in the parking lot of the park. So where am I dropping you off? She asked, waiting for him to tell her the address of where he lived and pulling out onto the main road. Her stomach growled with the fact that she had not eaten and yet it seemed to have been forgotten when she had been breaking him out. She ignored the need to eat.

He could still not believe that this girl had the guts to free him of what seemed to be his ultimate doom and what could have been the end of her career. He did not understand why she would go through such great risks just to free a complete stranger in which she had no guarantee of being human. The full moon kept the shadows thin and sparse, so their path was very easy to navigate in the not-so-dark dark of night. He had lost all sense of time basically, except that it was well passed eight, seeing as the zoo closed at eight and then the traffic lights were not very constant. The pleasure is all mine, Ardeil. Tones were smooth, a crooked smile corrupting his features as they walked towards where her car seemed to be. His brow furrowed as she seemed a little worried now, and it was perfectly normal. She could have somehow been recognized on camera, the same for him. A bit of advice for your next heroic mission: make sure the information is legitimate before going on a wild goose chase. Words were complemented with a gentle chuckle. He was in light spirits at the moment, despite the headache that caused his head to throb and the insistent hunger that his stomach was reminding him of. The flinching of the girl beside him at the question was something he would have anticipated, a similar reaction would have come from himself as well. An eyebrow rose, waiting silently for her reply as she hesitated. He knew she was contemplating lying to him, but he was not surprised by this. He had no intention of spilling her secret, whatever she claimed it to be. The description of her talent confused him at first, but he quickly caught on and nodded. I see. It made perfect sense now, the voices in his head and the strange looks he'd gotten from her as a leopard. The male gave her an amused expression as she simply replied 'no problem.' You say this like it's not the first time you could be charged as a criminal. So unless that has happened; it was a problem, to me. Vocals were serious, imagining someone being punished for trying to save him; human or beast. Well, I'm glad. Thankfully, I am a bit civilized, even after shifting. He'd heard of some shifters who completely relied on their instincts after shifting, but he'd never witnessed it. Perhaps it was just legend. He watched the way she arched her brow and sigh, shaking his head. No. I insist upon something. White teeth flashed in a grin that was a bit more devious then her own, dark mahoganies meeting hers for what seemed like a fraction of a second. Things were not as awkward between the two of them as he had assumed they would be, seeing as they were strangers and he was half naked basically. He followed her across the parking lot, assessing the car and finding that it was hers as the lights responded to the button being pushed. Aw 1753 Atlas Avenue. A soft sigh escaped him and he looked in her direction for a moment as they drove off. As she pulled next to his house, his eyes met hers again. I apologize for not feeding you tonight, but I seem to have lost track of my wallet for the time being... He paused a moment before continuing. But, tomorrow night, however is on me. The Sapori d'Italia at 6? Bring whoever you wish. It was not what he considered to be a date, especially because he really did not know the girl and it was just a polite gesture. He really did not care, just felt the need to do something for her in return and then he could feel a bit more confident about the situation. Until then, Principessa. Fingers carefully grabbed her hand and brought it to his lips for a very brief moment before sliding from the car and striding into his house. Everything was just as it had been left, which was comforting that they had not figured out a way to lead the leopard investigation to him. He sprawled on the couch and thought over the past events with a little smirk. Aw what the hell, he'd had fun at least and rejection wouldn't kill him. As much as he wanted to sleep, he found something to eat instead, quite pleased that there was not a science project growing within his refrigerator. After his hunger was satisfied, his bed felt more comforting and relaxing then ever.

What the man did not realize was that it was not a spur of the moment thing where she was just guessing that he was not a leopard. Even though she had told him that she had been able to read his thoughts as the kind of communication that came from the large cat she was sure that he did not realize just how accurate that would be. With time getting used to the talent she was able to differentiate between animal thoughts and the ways that they were able to communicate and the ways that people communicated and they were nothing alike so even though he had been in leopard form he had thought and communicated nothing like the species. It was not the first time in her life that she had met a shifter either. A lot of people did not know what to look for when they were looking for other immortals but once you knew what to look for they were more common then you would even want to believe. The higher the concentration in one area the more dangerous it was for the species. If one of them were caught then it would be possible through testing for more of them to be caught as well and she was sure that was the reason that he had not been able to escape in the first place since he did not want to blow his cover and risk spending the rest of his life as nothing but a lab rat. She was sure that he would rather die then be put into that kind of a prison. Strides were even and long as lackadaisical saunter started to relax a little and her thoughts were then propelled into the conversation in which he was starting with her. Smooth lyrics stated that the pleasure of meeting her was his and she could not help but offer a small and friendly smile. It was the first time that she had noticed that the man was very good looking. Previously she had been a little too much on edge and just worrying about getting them out of the zoo. What were the chances though that she had helped to rescue a handsome guy about her age from the zoo? It seemed like she had luck when it came to choosing her rescues. The roles were reversed though and she was the knight in shining armour tonight, hey at home she even had the grey horse to match that role. Ah well what you do not realize is it would not have been possible had I waited any longer, somehow I think it would be almost impossible for me to rescue you while you were with the other leopards, well without being seriously maimed. She suprised herself when she did not lie to him though it was a good start feeling as though she was able to trust him. Well it was only because they both now held a secret that must stay that way to avoid becoming the next circus freak. When they reached the white Acura TL the attractive car flicked its lights as the remote was pressed and she stepped into the drivers seat and started the engine that ignited to life with one turn of the key it sounded throaty like a sports car and the inside was very luxurious. She was lucky to have the nice car. He told her the address and drove him there and pulled up to the curb. He apologized for not feeding her telling her that he was not too sure where his wallet was which was understandable since it probably had been in the pants that were left in a pile in the woods where they had caught him. Its fine. She told him quietly. Well I accept, I hope that my company is enough since I am new here and have not yet even met another that would accompany me a place like that. She told him with a small smile, cheeks reddening slightly when he picked her hand up and kissed the finger tips. Breath catching in the back of her thought though it was inaudible which was nice since it was simply because he had caught her by suprise. When he had retreated back to the house and was inside the door she then pulled away from the curb to head in the direction of where she lived which was not too far from where she had dropped him off. She was not even on the road for five minutes before pulling into the townhouses' driveway and shutting the car off before stepping into the house and locking the door behind her. She reached the top of the stairs in record time and by the time she was at her room she realized that she still had not eaten anything but she was far too lazy to go all the way back down and she would just go to bed and eat in the morning. She stepped into the hot spray of the shower and changed into a loose t-shirt and a pair of shorts before climbing into her bed. She awoke the next morning to start her day the same way. She was positive it would be a hectic morning since there would be a 'leopard on the loose' at the zoo and she was sure that would be what her day would be geared towards, but she knew the zoo well and she was sure that she would not be caught. She spent the entire day working in the zoo and returned home when it was 4:30 knowing that she did not have much time she rushed through a shower and blowdried her hair into loose waves that fell around her shoulders applying a thin layer of makeup consisting of blush, eyeliner and mascara. The dress that was slipped over her slender frame was a black cocktail dress perfect for any occasion and settled just above her knees dipping low in a V across her collarbones showing the silver necklace that her mother had given her off that rested at the base of her collarbones. By the time that she was ready it was 5:35 and with the driving time she knew that it was going to be close so strides were quick carrying her to the car and she did not hesitate to start it and head in the direction of the restaurant. Reaching the door with five minutes to spare and taking a seat at one of the waiting booths after telling the hostess that she was waiting for someone, she shifted a little nervously in her seat.

The male had sometime in the middle of the night managed to stumble to his own bed, and slept in until around 11. Being home just felt so nice and comfortable after being stuck either on concrete floor or in a tree. Now he could be a normal human again, eat normal people food, and sleep in a real bed.He was quite relieved to discover that his wallet was just on the stand beside his bed and not in the clothes he had left in the woods. His brow furrowed, worrying the police may have confiscated his clothes and did DNA test. And then he'd have some explaining to do if they came and hunted him down. Fingers were crossed mentally that that would not happen. The cold shower felt more refreshing then ever, muscles a bit stiff from sleeping on the hard surface. He wandered to his room in a robe, grabbing some casual clothes for now and then he jogged through his back yard, climbed the fence when no one was looking in order to scan the bushes for his concealed clothing. He found the pile with ease and wondered whose clothes he had been found standing over supposedly. He couldn't remember it, his memory faded quite a bit as a big cat. Any way, they should not have tracked him in any way, hopefully at least. The escape had been very careful and excellently planned. The clothes were folded over his arm as the man decided to take the walk around the woods and to his house, quite sure that none of the neighbors were at home currently. He was correct and entered his house once more without a problem, tossing the clothes into the washing machine and thinking of what he may have had scheduled today. His phone had a few missed calls, all of which from the same number to remind him of the entrée tasting he had set up for Friday at 4:30. He paused a moment, recalling the days and figuring that Friday was indeed today. The tasting would not take long, and he would still be able to make the dinner if she indeed did show up. But she had accepted saying something about her being the only company and that she was new to the area, which he was not against in any way and he even contemplated asking if she wanted a little summary of the city. He just wanted her to feel comfortable, hence why he had left the invitation open. He was actually a bit excited about the dinner, and ended up reminding himself that it was not a date and even if so, he had to remember how things ended last time. Everything seemed alright, but it just hadn't quite finished off that way. And indeed, the explanation from Damien made perfect sense; it was too soon. Obviously it had been, because he had seen glimpses of Ayrn with a man that was semi-recognizable from prior conferences at the hotel. He had to remind him self that there was always a chance of rejection, no matter what the situation was. It was all part of life. It was just a friendly dinner anyhow, yet he didn't think he would mind getting to know the girl, she seemed like a very unique person. The male cleaned out the refrigerator, a few things had expired and a few others smelt horrid, and busied himself to straightening up the house somewhat. He'd always been organized, a strength for the business world. At quarter to three, he started to look a little more formal by wearing a clean grey button-up t-shirt and black slacks, hair was spiked slightly in it's normal fashion and black dress shoes adorned his feet. He was dressed nice, but not over doing it by any means in his own definition. He left the house early for the meeting with the head chef, quite pleased as he entered the currently busy restaurant. A note was slipped to the hostess, reserving an open table for later on. He just wanted to be sure in case there was an overly large dinner crowd. Italian words came from behind the order window, the chef calling out to him in impatience. Despite the chef's harsh tongue, he was pretty easy to get along with. Each of the dishes were approved, the man glancing up constantly every time the door opened. Finally, he gave up looking and not long after, the hostess alerted him of a girl waiting for someone. She hadn't stated a last name, and he assumed it was because she didn't know it. After praising the chef once again, he strode to where the familiar face sat at the table. She seemed rather uncomfortable and fidgety but he assumed it was because she was alone and it would feel awkward waiting alone for some one. A charming smile crossed his features as he strode confidently in the direction of the booth. Good evening.I'm very pleased that you made it. He took a seat opposite of the girl, relieved to see that he was not the only one who had gotten casually dressed up. You look amazing. He murmured, focusing on the more detailed view of her face, realizing the differences from last night compared to now. Nonetheless, she had evident natural beauty. I apologize for being late, I almost forgot about previous arrangements. He wasn't sure of the time, but mentally he was certain that he'd only been a few minutes late, hopefully. He did not like having people wait for him and he learned how important the aspect of time was in the business world, as well as the real world. Back was rested against the seat, an extremely soft sigh echoing into the atmosphere; just enjoying the idea of being civilized again. The menus were passed to each of them and he simply ordered for a water. After she ordered something to drink as well, the man raised an eyebrow before speaking. I suppose I should have asked your preference on food first? I hope you like Italian. Needless to say, he really had not considered such things; especially when it had been a spur of the moment idea that popped into his head.

The restaurant was nice and decorated with an Italian flair that was only custom through a person knowing authentic Italy. It was already up to her standards and she was impressed. Stepping through the door the wafting smell of freshly made food with a combination of baked bread and traditional italian pasta was enough to make her mouth water. The hostess seemed to already be aware that she would be waiting for someone and lead her to a booth along the back wall that seemed to be a little more on the private side that seemed to be a lot quieter. It was a place that was friendly to all types of people it seemed. The couples went there on dates and tonight there seemed to be a lot of those, while the familes were able to take their kids out for a nice meal without thinking it was too expensive and hoity for them. The kids would have to be on their best behaviour though since it did not seem to be a 'family restaurant.' Italian food tended to be one of her favourites. Good memories were brought back by the Italian restaurant that was nearly smack dab in the center of Crete. During the off season they were mostly only open on weekends since there was not enough business with just the locals to make enough money to be able to keep it going through the week. An older Italian man owned the restaurant, he had an accent so thick it was nearly impossible to be able to understand him and he talked faster then she had ever heard a person speak. It was nearly as fast as the auctioneers that she had seen on TV. He was fiery but seemed to have a soft spot for her and her family when they came and in they always had impeccable service, during the summer she would ride by his house on her bike and he would give her freshly grown tomatoes to take home to her parents. She did not know how her parents knew the man and whether or not it was just through the restaurant but he was one of the people that she missed the most about the island, though she was already planning a visiting trip back for sometime over the Christmas break when she did not have to work. With a marine biologist though the work never seemed to slow down since there were always animals that needed to be taken care of and studies that needed to be run so for her to be able to have a full amount of holidays at one time was impossible, well until they found someone that would be able to take her spot for the time that she was missing, which they were currently trying to do. She told them that she must have a week off just after Christmas though since it had been a long time since she had been back to the island to see the rest of her family that she left behind, including her mother and father and younger brother. She had just sat in the booth when the male approached from behind where she had been standing and lead in making it appear as though he had already been here. Interested expression mirrored on features though she did not say anything. This was merely a thank you dinner that had been impossible to refuse plus she was interested in the man since he was the first immortal that she had encountered since she had lived here and they both had things in common, they both had skeletons in the closet that could ruin their lives if they were leaked out. It was sad that even after people had known her for ages that she was still hiding things from them but this man had known her for a grand total of half an hour the day before and he already knew of these things. A small sigh was uttered as he apologized. Oh no problem I had just sat down. He really wasn't late she did not have to even check her watch to know that but it was simply the polite thing for a man to say when the woman that they were meeting was already seated before they arrived. He then stated that she looked amazing and instantly red leapt to her cheeks in an embarrassed manner. Thanks. She told him shyly. She was a lot different from last night without the adrenaline pumping through her veins and without having the upper hand. She was a lot more timid. He then seemed a little worried as he asked her if she liked Italian and a broad smile crossed rose kissers. Its my favorite, I think its impossible not to like Italian food. She told him. Legs were stretched out in front of her beneath the table careful not to hit his when he went to sit down and crossed delicately at the ankle in a polite ladylike manner. The napkin was already unrolled from her cutlery and placed on her lap before she forgot. As soon as he sat down the waitress seemed to stroll over to them asking for their drink orders. It seemed a little soon though she was not about to protest hasty service was never something to look down on. I would like an iced tea please. She then turned back to him after his order was taken and the girl moved off to get their drinks. She looked around the restaurant briefly to gauge the close proximity between them and the next table that was occupied. She then announced to him a small tidbit of information from the day that she knew that he might find interesting. She would not say anything that was inciminate her though she knew that he would be able to get the jist of what she was telling him by just the few sentences that she told him. He would understand that she had not been caught and that she was not a suspect by the fact that she had spent all day looking for the large cat along with the rest of the zoo even though it was not her job and she was merely doing tests on the turtles she had been called in there today as a favour. So I spent all day looking for this missing leopard. Of course they did not want to announce to the public about the possibility of a wild loose animal so they are keeping it under wraps. She emitted a small light hearted chuckle when she finished her sentence. When the glasses arrived she pulled hers a little closer to her and finger ran over the condensation on the glass as a usual habit.

It was only natural once he had figured out the proper venue for the restaurant it only seemed natural for him to different decor from Italy, in order to give it the proper ambiance. The place reminded him of home, which the pain of homesickness had followed him here even after being years later. It was just a natural effect it seemed. However, he had a vacation planned to take a trip back across the ocean in a few months. Mostly just to see a few old friends, family, and just because a vacation was well earned. He took pride in the restaurant's success and how it appealed to people of nearly all social classes. He did not like the discriminating feel of some places that seemed to have high expectations of the people who stepped foot inside the door. He personally liked the idea of fine cuisine and being people-friendly, hence why he had strived to make it a part of the restaurant. Even though rarely rewarded himself by eating there, he based the foundations on what he sought to be highly thought of qualities. The man was quite relieved to hear that she hadn't been waiting long, it would have been rude of him to have been much later, especially if she was waiting there already. Good. A smile came across his features. He noticed instantaneously the way her cheeks flushed at the compliment and swallow a quiet chuckle, not wanting to make her feel bad in any sort of way. He caught on quickly to how she was a bit shy at the moment, her tone of voice explaining it all to him quite easily.Slowly, he arched one of his brows as she explained that Italian food was her favorite. I would find it hard to believe as well, but there are some types like that. A good-natured chuckle rang out quietly, shrugging his shoulders after saying so. He found it quite odd to have someone know his secret, especially when that some one was basically a complete stranger and nearly his whole family was in the dark about the entire concept. He was curious about her powers though, he had never heard of such a thing and that made it all the more intriguing. Yet, he still had much to learn about shifters as it was. He'd only met a very few shifters in his life, all of which were introduced to him at a young age and provided a couple of tips and nothing else. But, he had made it this far with minimal information, so there was a good chance he would continue to survive without it, or until he found some knowledge on the subject. Brows were brought together in interest as she began speaking once again. At her explanation of what had happened at the zoo, he was quite relieved. She had not been targeted in anyway so far, and it wiped away some of the guilt that was weighing down his conscience. Fascinating. He murmured, a quiet laugh escaping soon after. Promise you will be careful when watching for this wild animal? You never know what could happen... A half-hearted wink was given in a playful manner. He was careful to keep his words just loud enough for her to hear only, and no one else could eavesdrop, yet they had been seated in a relatively private spot of the restaurant but it was still just a safety precaution sort of thing. If word of such happenings got around, it got around fast like a fire devouring a forest of dried wood. But it would not surprise him at all if the zoo did end up admitting the loss of the animal, warning everyone to keep on the look out and to keep small pets and children indoors. Sooner or later, he figured that somehow the story would hit the news and just scare people more than anything. As long as he was the only leopard on the loose, they would have nothing to worry about but Ardeil and himself were the only ones who would know this. The glass was pressed along his lips momentarily as a small amount of water was swallowed, a thin smile tracing over the man's kissers as his attention was once more directed towards his guest. How long have you lived here? He recalled her comment from the prior night about how she had not had a chance to really meet anyone, thus explaining why she had only brought herself tonight. The area had been quite intimidating to him when he had first arrived, not remembering exactly what it had been that had drawn him to this certain spot in the U.S. either. He assumed it had to do with the fact that the population was neither huge nor small and it was neither really a rural or urban area, just kind of in between. But for whichever reason he came here, the area had grown on him and it was a home away from home idea, even though it would never be the same as Italy. Though, he had gotten used to the ways of Americans, and found his accent seeming to fade in the slightest bit constantly, but it would never disappear. He was not ashamed of his heritage, so he embraced the culture still, and added a few American traditions along with it. He had learned a lot in living here, and most of the knowledge was very useful for him in everyday life.

It seemed like most of the people that originated from Europe travelled around their continent to gain a feel for the different cultures that were so tight knit in a small area. Some of the countries were so different from one another and Italy seemed to be one of the unique ones. While she had only been there a handful of times and never long enough to actually try to adjust to their lifestyle she had enjoyed the trips more then going to places like Germany and Switzerland. It was simply a place where she felt she connected to. Eyes travel around the restaurant and land on the male before her. A small traditional smile crossed friendly features. She still was gaurded though and eyes were hidden behind a mask of uncertainy. She had never been one that was able to trust easily, not after knowing what would happen if people found out her secret and here was was blabbing it to a complete stranger that she just rescued from the zoo. Her life seemed to be taking a rebellious turn for insane. Soon she would be spending her days in a straitjacket in a drug induced haze, at least she was sure that would be what people did if she told them that she was able to comprehend any spoken language as well as those used by animals. Then when she continued to tell them that she rescued the shape shifter from the zoo because he really wasn't a leopard and did not belong there she was sure that she would be sent to the asylum. She silenced a small chuckle that bubbled in the back of her throat. He seemed to be friendly when he told her that it was good that she liked Italian food and agreed that he thought that it was hard to believe that there were people out there that did not like Italian food and she wracked her mind to try to place any face of people that she knew that did not like the style of food and failed though of course she knew that it was true that everyone was different. A small nod dipped her head as he continued. She started to gain a little more confidence as she told him that she had spent all day looking for a lost wild animal from the zoo and how the officials were terrified that they were going to have to release that there was a leopard on the loose to the public and it would be pandemonium. People would purchase guns in case the large animal targetted their house little did they know that a cat like that was sneaky enough that they would be able to sneak up without them even realizing to having a gun would not help them at all. It would all be a phase though and within three weeks it would be old news once no one heard or saw anything from the large cat. He chuckled when she added the rest of the sentence. Playful lyrics brought a tender smile to the girls face in a teasingly charming manner. Leaning back in her chair spine rested against the back of the comfortable booth pressing against the leather cushion. Palm running through nearly ebony locks, the dark mocha strands falling around features lightly in a silky texture created by good shampoo and conditioner. Her hair was layered so shorter strands fell around her shoulders to frame delicate features and the remainder fell along her shoulder blades along her spine. A hint of vanilla was released into the air between them with the scent of her shampoo. A straw bobbed in the bubbly liquid as the glass was engulfed in her palm and pulled closer to her so that she did not have to lean over the table and it was simply more convenient so she did not end up making a fool of herself by spilling it all over the table. She knew the dinner was nothing but a thank you but she did not want to make it any more unbearable for her. He then asked her how long she had lived here. Only about a week. I have been moving around a lot. I am originally from Crete the moved to Florida to attend the University of Miami, they have the largest marine biology program in the US. Since then I have been deep sea diving off the coast of Australia. Then I came here to work for the Aquarium and a bit for the zoo. What about you? What do you do for work? She asked, quite curious. She knew that it was perhaps a person aspect of his life that he might not want to share with her though she knew that it was an attempt at small talk, even though their conversation seemed to be flowing nicely enough on its own. The lights seemed to be dimming as the light outside the room was starting to match the romantic atmosphere. It was turning into the time that was late for the family diners and the time that the people going on dates started to shuffle into the restaurant. It was strange to see such a change so vividly but they seemed to have chosen a time right in the middle of both that seemed to be a little bit of a lull and they were stuck between people leaving and people coming so it was very quiet for awhile. The waitress was walking around with a small lighter and lighting the flickering candles that were set at each table. A small smile was offered to the girl when she stopped at their respective place. She watched as the girl finished the rest of the place before coming back to take their order asking them politely what they would like to eat for the night. She had chosen before she had even looked at the menu and was glad that they had it listed there since it was a traditional Italian dish and it was one that she looked forward to in any of the restaurants she frequented. When the time came for her to tell the girl what she wanted she paused for a moment. I would like the Penne Carbonara please. She then thanked the pretty girl before she swivelled and turned to Donatello to ask him what he wanted to eat before then heading off to the kitchen to give them their orders. A glance was shot out into the parking lot and she was stunned to notice that there were tiny white flakes dancing their lighty lofty rythm before hitting the ground, it was a drastic change in temperature since the day before had been rather sunny and quite mild but it was showing that winter was starting to come and that was her favourite time of the year.

The ways of Italy had their differences compared to the typical American ones. Originally, he had thought himself to be lost in the new country, but he had adjusted rather quickly once settling his mind and figuring out his career path. The restaurant had been designed with memories of his home, and now it was the closest thing to home he had it seemed. The scents and decor of the building was all he needed for now to refresh his memory. Even after three years, it seemed he was constantly discovering new American traditions and it was very interesting to him. He never got tired of learning new things it seemed, even if it was pointless information. One thing he had learned rather well was reading people's expressions and figuring out their emotions through which. The woman seemed on the edge and uncomfortable which made perfect sense in his mind. He was a stranger who knew her secret, and if either of them said a single thing about the zoo rescue/ leopard escape, both of them would be in very big trouble. Before, he had worried about himself getting caught alone but now it was even a bigger deal if he were to drag another down as well. Though it had been her own idea, it still did not ease his conscience in any way. Perhaps if it were only him that was caught, he could cover his tracks with some story involving a strange mutation and an evil scientist. Ah yes, that would be a brilliant plan. His mind still had random sparks where childish creativity came into play, especially when it came to scheming his way out of tricky situations; most of the time, the random plans made little sense and would never work in a million years. He just always seemed to have lucked out whenever something deep came along. The male was quite relaxed, but managed to be so for the most part. He noticed that she smiled a little more naturally now, confidence seeming to blossom the more she spoke. His own smile was crooked in the smallest bit as it crossed his facial features. Listening intently to her briefly describe how she had been traveling frequently. An eyebrow rose in his own curiosity as she stated that she had only been in the area for around a week. You're a bit of a thrill seeker then, aren't you? The comment was directed towards her deep-sea diving part of the story. He did not let himself dwell on the thought of water and quickly thought of a way to divert his attention. Your travels must have been very...knowledgeable, as well as exciting. Shoulders shrugged somewhat as the question was turned then to his direction. Well, Ardeil, I cannot compete with your travels, and my line of work fails to compare as well. I'm in the restaurant business. He did not specify, there was no need to. He never really liked to draw attention to himself in any way. I moved here from Latina three years ago now. I wish I could of seen more of Crete, we went once for a short family vacation. He made an attempt at casual conversation, trying to keep the silence from being overly long and awkward, and the conversation comfortable for the both of them. Sight adjusted quickly with the change in lighting, forgetting about the difference in setting when it passed a certain time. He'd lost track, and it certainly didn't make things any easier. He started to worry that it might make Ardeil more uncomfortable, but she seemed just fine. The waitress took their order and he briefly glanced over the menu and ordered with a split minute decision. I'll have the Gnocchi, please. Both of the menus were returned to the waitress with a gracious smile. He was quite pleased with himself seeing as he had already taken care of the bill without her knowing and even having a chance at paying for her meal. He had stated that the meal was a thank you in return, which it was and he was glad to have her company. Gaze followed hers to outside, where small bits of snow began to fall slowly. A soft sigh echoed into the atmosphere, winter was always an exciting part of year. The snowfall in the area was light, but just enough to cover the ground for most of the season. Winter was a newer concept to him, but he had learned to enjoy its presence. He was determined to figure out how to ski one day when he had the free time and went on some sort of trip to a ski resort. He had always been adventurous and wanting to try new things, both of which were driving reasons that had brought him this far. And now that he thought about it, curiosity was probably the main reason why he had almost been killed or discovered. The old saying about curiosity killing the cat did not seem too far off base now that he was realizing the similarities and putting two and two together.

Finally she allowed herself to relax. The flight instinct that was so ingrained in the girls mind was pushed to the back of the dark abyss of the thoughts that would always remain but were currently not allowed to affect her. He was no longer thought of as a threat. He was much too nice to be thought to be a traitor plus there was nothing that a person could do to prove that she had the abilities that she claimed they would not be able to force her into using them, would they? There must be a way that they would be able to force him to shift so therefore it was much more dangerous her knowing about him them it was for him to know about her. Shoulders were allowed to relax and fall easily and a deep exhale was expelled from her chest as she then rested her hands in her lap with a small smile shot over the table in his direction. She was almost positive though that regarding the escape that the humans involved in the search were much too naiive to link the signs. He noticed that she seemed to have travelled a lot and she nodded. Yes I am a little bit of a thrill seekers, though I like to say thats because I lived most of my life in a small town and I am making up for it now. She said lightly. She was allowing him closer then she would have liked but strangely it was a nice feeling to open up to someone. He then told her that he was in the restaurant business and she pieced it together. How was he supposed to get a reservation at this place so late and have it just the way that he wanted. Not to mention that it reflected on his heritage. Excuse me if I am wrong, but is this restaurant yours? It just seems like more then just a coincidence that it is Italian and so authentic without someone being from Italy. He then told her that he had been to Crete before and a small smile appeared on the girls kissers. All she had was good memories from the place though she was glad that she had moved away since there was no future there for her. There was no universities and she knew that with the economy the way that it was it was impossible to have a good job without a degree of some sort. Perhaps with time she would move back there but not until she had experienced the life apart from the small island. Even when silence seemed to fall between them it was not as awkward as she had been suspecting. She gave her order to the waitress when the girl came to take their order and leaned back against the chair. The food arrived in what seemed to not even be ten minutes and the steaming plates were placed in front of them. She politely unwrapped her napkin from her cutlery and placed it on her lap before starting to eat. She paused when the waitress came back to the table to traditionally ask them how it was. A broad smile crossing kissers. Fabulous, thank you. She told her politely before turning back to the meal and finishing it. She was a lot more hungry then she thought originally. As he had finished as well and all that seemed to be left was paying of the bill she agreed to reluctantly allow him to pay for her since it was agreed on before they had come here. She hated other people paying for her meals but she had to accept this as a thank you for breaking him out of the zoo. How many people could say they met a hot guy by breaking them out of a zoo? Thank you so much. It was nice to get out of the house. She assumed he would walk her to her car and held the door open for him to pass through the night was cold and the snow was starting to accumulate against the sidewalk. It was slippery though her balance proved to be nearly impeccable as strides were easy along the sidewalk. She could not help but bend down quickly and scoop a bunch of the white flakes up in her hands compacting them into a ball with a mischevious glance as the ball was tossed lightly at the male. Ignoring the fact that they had just been out for a nice dinner in which they had dressed up for, the childish antics surfacing.
