There are more characters then just Ayrn and Erixic. I do not claim any right to the posts that are not my own.
Ayrn Willems
Erixic B.Matthews
Dario Lombardi
Izar Highrise
A small exhale of carbon was released into the atmos via parted rose kissers. Pillars moved at a lackadaisical stride with little ambition for getting to her destination in a timely fashion. What had been the point if everything is always rushed that leaves little time to enjoy the world. Darkness was settled around her. So many strange feelings were cast around on the inside. Erix had not come back since she had left the ball seeking something more then being alone with a man who she hardly knew. Dancing with a man that she did not know either. And one that she had a strange feeling about he seemed awkwardly familiar. Her thoughts ran rampid through her mind and little did she know her senses were not on high alert. And as for another matter what did Harlen want to talk to her about? That was strange considering she knew the female for no longer then a few moments. She seemed to be caught up in her own business though and she was off with Dario dealing with a prisoner that had come up so therefore everyone that she had been remotely social with was pre-occupied. Palms rested at her sides. The night was warm and she had no problem being in the climate with only her dress on.
A small graceful stride lead the husky male to the courtyards. "Ayrn?" His voice quite husky yet. "I need to ask you something." Before she could turn or anything, Izar's hand extended outward. His fingers extended. A chain came from his fingers. The chain shot toward Ayrn. It wrapped quickly around her wrists then her ankles. By then Izar had caught up. "I'm sorry about this. But I'm under orders from my master." He muttered quickly and bound the chains together.
She jumped her entire frame becoming tense. Making the hitting of the chains even more of a strain on her figure. The chain bit into her ankles and wrists though not before a fist was thrown in his direction though before contact was made the chains bound her. She had made the mistake of wandering a little ways from the ball and she knew that even if she screamed it would be a waste of energy. The darkness and adrenaline making it impossible to see who was the man who bound her with the chains. And who would your master be? I dont seem to see him here so therefore I do not believe this is nessecary. Her words came out in a low hiss. She then had an idea. She knew she did not have much power in her other form though she did not know what the chains would do to her in her wolf form. She did know that the chains would be more loose around her. When he seemed to be a little off gaurd she used all her strength to then change to her wolven form. Where arms used to be smaller appendages now slipped through the hold of the chains. A low growl was uttered to the male as she then lowered herself on her haunches and sprung in his direction thinking back a wiser decision would have been for her to run though of course in harsh situations that never came to mind.
Izar uttered a small hiss. "I am under orders to bring you back." His hand was brought up to cover his face and it made another chain, bounding it around her muzzle then around her legs. "I'm sorry." He muttered quickly. His gloved hand extended around one of the chains.
A whimper escape muzzle before the chains were cast around it and she could not speak. It was then and there that she realized the meaning behind all of this. This was Dillon's last request to have her back. She struggled enough to make the chains cut into her forelegs and somewhat her hind legs. She knew that she was not getting out though she wanted to make it as hard as possible maybe if she struggled long enough someone would spot her. She paid no attention to the chains focusing now on what her plan was going to be. Who was this guy? Why did she not remember him? Why had she never seen him before? Perhaps she was no good if she was dead after all if he had wanted her dead he would not have waited this long would he? She was not going to risk it though. Low growls rumbled deep within her rib cage making her bones protest against being bound. Managing to shuffle away from the male. Now unable to feel her paws below the knees she wobbled on her feet. Before completely collasping. It seemed as though then that something spooked Izar and he left the girl there. Struggling with consciencness she shifted and the chains pulled her tighter. Whenever she got too weak she was shifted back into her human from and the chain that was around her muzzle as a wolf now adorned her neck cutting tight into her flesh she winced trying to relieve the pressure eyes were forced shut tight.
Long steps carry the male away from the gardens. It had seemed that he had heard something from within the bushes. Frame was tense shoulders drawn up rigidly as he prepared himself for the attacker that might as well be coming from the bushes. Peeking over the corner of bushes where he had heard the noises he was appalled. A girl lay on the ground bound with chains. The one in which he knew that he had seen with Harlen earlier that evening. She was bleeding now, quite heavily. He could hear her attacker running through the bushes and if she was not in such bad shape he would consider running after him knowing that he would be able to catch him though the possibility of this girl dying in the Coven he had built from the ground was sickening. Plus what if the man had an accomplice and was just leading him on a wild goose chase while the other was there getting her ready to move. The options were then weighed and he decided he would do nothing more then take care of the girl. Moving forward a palm was placed on her shoulder. Its ok. I am here to help you. You are quite hurt but I am going to take you to the medics. He hoped that she could hear him and that she was not going to fight him thinking it was her attacker since it seemed as though her attacker had intentions of taking her away by the drag marks on the ground. Easily she was picked up her frame was weak and she was limp within his arms as he then carried her the shortest way to the castle and to the medics. Luckily the mind reader had already seen this happening and they were all waiting at the door by the time he arrived. A gasp came from one of the gaurds as he spotted the condition she was in. Carrying her easily within the doors she was then placed on a stretcher. He allowed the nurses then time to work never once leaving. He wondered where the male that she had been at the party with was. Was he the one who attacked her? Well he highly doubted that though he would have some answers. Once he knew the girl was going to be alright then he would leave and go find him. The nurses returned to him. Well you are lucky she has lost a lot of blood and the gashes are quite deep. She is not awake and it is possible she wont be for awhile but I think she will be alright. Do you have any idea who did this to her? He shook his head with a grim look upon features. Stepping out from the door he then made his way back to the party with intentions of finding the male who had been with her to at least inform him of her condition.
The drake started walking back into the mass of people, thumb and forefinger clenching onto his head at either temple. How could he have been so paranoid? Of coarse Laina had not come here. She did not even know where he was for christs sake and frankly, that was the way he prefered it. Their history was short and not even close to glamorous. Erixic was not particuarlly proud of who he had been back then or who the girl had encouraged him to be, but he did not regret it either. Laina had taught him a lesson in life and for that, he was grateful. Gaze finally lifted and the male quickly gathered his blank composure as orbs started to roam around the room, in search of the green eyed maiden who wore a little black dress. Smile pulled at features as the image of her standing in front of the mirror in their bathroom earlier that night came to him. When he had been watching her get ready, the baron had remembered exacally why the urge to lock the door and not go to the mandatory ball had been so strong. Of coarse, that would be disrespectful and Ayrn would never have allowed it even if he worked his ways at trying to pursuade her to stay. Limbs started to carry him to the other, less populated side of the room, hoping to catch sight of her there since he had not been able to locate her from where he was standing even with his overly sensitive vision. Frown creased handsome features and worry started to naw at the male's gut as he still could not find any hint of his lover anywhere. Shit! I should never have left her. Never let my past get in the way fo what I have now! Inside, the brute was frantic. It was amazing that he managed to keep that cool, detached look upon his facade. Frame turned and he headed towards the large double doors that led into the large room from the hallway. Nares flared wide just as he was almost even with the doors, the scent of blood so potent that it nearly made the duke stop his movement. There was something familar about it to. Something that reminded him of someone he had met before. Instantly, everything made sense and all composure was lost, mask became a picture of horror while only one word came through his thoughts. Ayrn. Figure burst into a run, but was forced to hault as he rounded the bend and almost ran smack dab into the one he knew as Dario. A quick bow was given to the royal and then he spotted the blood upon his shirt and noticed that Ayrn's odor was all over him. Hands flew to the other's shoulders and percing gray depths stared into the others. Where is she?! He did not care that the movement he made was probably not a good one to do when addressing a monarch, but none of that mattered to him now. All he wanted was to see his beloved, to know what state she was in and to learn why she was bleeding.
He had been in such a panick that he had not realized that he was now walking back to the ball with blood all over his shirt. Luckily he did not make it all the way before the male in question plowed head on into him, something that would not have happened if his mind was not racing with the thoughts. What relation do you hold to her? She is in no condition for visitors right now. Emerald pools were emotionless as he held an abrupt tone to his voice. Where had this male been when all this was happening? Was he off with another girl? It must have lasted for a little while since when he had found her it looked as though she had been in that condition for a little longer then fifteen minutes probably close to fourty five minutes. A tense expression held his frame completely rigid his shoulders were pulled tight and he felt as though he was going to jump out of his skin he wondered why he felt so connected to this girl to make sure that she was completely safe. Yes he would have done the same for anyone in the community though this time it felt as though he needed to make sure that she was alright and that she recovered. Considering her condition, that very hit or miss. He was also informed that since the chain was bound around her neck that with the loss of air that her brain might be affected and she might not completely be normal ever again there was a high chance of memory loss. He took a step back from the male noticing the look on his face. I was actually just looking for you. Perhaps you could explain some things to me, come with me please. He stepped away from the male long lofty steps carrying muscled frame in the direction of the medics. He would not allow him to see Ayrn after all she was not allowed visitors and her condition was still very shaky, tubes were placed in her lungs to make sure that neither of them collapsed from the chains since there was a little internal bleeding. Where were you when all this happened? He asked. When I found her laying in a lake of her own blood? Bound with three different sets of chains? The gruesome picture of it all played out before his mind. The type of person who even considered doing something like that was a very sick person. And even he after being an assasin for many years felt sick to his stomach. Outside the nurses office he pulled a chair for the male and sat down in one as well. A nurse then came out and gestured for Dario to come with her. Excuse me a moment. She pulled him around the corner so that Erix would not be able to even see enough to read lips. "I am afraid sir there is a lot of bleeding. She has lost so much blood it is nearly impossible to tell the extent of her injuries though she seems like she is a fighter and her condition luckily is starting to stabilize though it is impossible to tell how long the air was cut off so I dont know if she will have all of her memory. I dont know what she is going to be like coming out of this if she survives." With a deep breath he nodded though did not say anything and returned around the corner a deep inhale was taken drawing oxygen back into his lungs to fuel the next cycle. He wanted answers from this guy. It was apparent that maybe he had not been the one to commit the crime though he had not been the one to check up on her, to notice her missing to wonder where she was and to go and find her, something else had been going on something that he found more important then this poor girls well being. They are trying to stabilize her condition right now. They will let us know any other details.
Fingers ran quickly through blonde locks while a step back was taken from the male, mind still racing with disbelief. She and I live together. Im in love with her. It felt werid for him to call Ayrn his girlfriend because she felt like so much more. Telling this man that she was his lover did not sound politically correct either so the lord simply settled with telling the other than they lived together and how he felt. Right then, his mind was in complete turmoil and being told he could not see the lady was about to make him go into crazy mode. Smokey pools lifted and searched despritely within the other's gems, finding nothing but coldness which surprised the drake a bit. You would think the king of such a large place would feel sympathy for him rather than feel no emotion at all like he was now. Frown formed upon features and head tilted slightly in confusion at Dario's next words. What could be so important that it would take pressidence over him seeing Ayrn? What questions could Erixic answer that would clear up the situation? Strides followed the other dutifully while the duke mulled over these questions, unsure of the answer to either. Then, it dawned on him. Of coarse! The monarch suspected Erix to have caused the injuries to the lass. Mouth parted to speak out in protest and rage at such an accusation, but before words got the chance to leave his cavern, the king had already shot out a series of questions at the shifter. Eyes were now hard and features of pure anger, not even a glance being taken towards the chair which was pulled out for him to sit down in. Fists clenched at the male's side while jaw line hardened, the fight to control his rage waging on within him. Do you think I would do something like that to the woman I loved?! I realize that this is some fault of mine for I left her without my protection, but I didn't think much of her being in harms way considering she was standing with your queen and bodyguard when I left! The rest of the lyrics that had boiled up within him were held in while the nurse came in and grabbed Dario to update him upon the maiden's condition. Finger again squeezed temples while a sharp pain cut through the beast. "Where were you when all this happened? When I found her laying in a pool of her own blood? Bound with three different sets of chains?" Where were you? Where were you? The words of the other continued to repeat over and over within his head, torturing the duke with each syllable. Ayrn! My love, I am so sorry. Formation sank down into the chair offered, elbows proping up on knees while hands covered his face, supporting skull as it hung dejectedly. I shouldn't have left her. Damn it! This is all my fault. I did something I had promised myself I would never do. I put my past before her and now shes hurting and its all because of me. Erix fought to control his emotions as tears threatened to breach his lids, pair already filling with the salted water as the vocals of the other man entered into the room once more. Chin lifted and gaze met with Dario's, helpless features staring up at the czar. A deep, shaky breath was taken, liquids dropping to look at the floor again. Dear god. Tunes breathed, the lord ever closer to a break down than he was before even as he was reasurred that she was in medical care. Didgets now pinched the end of his nose, tongue running over dry lips before they parted to release sound. I know what your thinking. Its so convienant that I was unaccounted for at the time of Ayrn's..... beating, but I could never hurt her. My life, my whole existance now revolves around her. I want to see her. I want to see my Ayrn. Gaze lifted to look into the other's again, surfaces almost pleading while they waited for Dario to either deny him, or to give him the permission he did not really need. I will see her. With or without your permission, sir. Know this.
Anger crossed the male's face for a brief moment before he saw the tears in the other mans eyes. He knew instantly then that he had nothing to do with it and it had all been a horrible set of bad events. Sorry. I didnt mean to accuse you. He stated softly before shifting so that he was beside him knees bending as he was brought down into the chair beside him. I am sorry but I also can not allow you to see her right now they are working on her and it would put her in danger. Please wait a few minutes more I am sure that they will be done soon. As if on cue the nurse then walked out gesturing to Dario. "She is not awake though you may see her if you wish she is stable though we will have to keep a very close eye on her." He then turned to the other man and gestured to him as well. You can come see her now. He had no intentions of leaving the girl alone though just in case and walked into the room as well. The girl was startling white and it was possible to see the tubes that were down her throat to stop her lungs from collapsing. She was covered in a gown but it was apparent to see the horrible condition she was in. Her neck was in a brace holding it still since the gashes were deep enough even the slightest movement could injure her. The nurse walked in after them. "I won't stay but I wanted you to know that when she wakes up she might have partial memory loss we dont know the extent of it yet but she was without air for quite awhile and she may or may never regain the part of her memory that she lost. It is likely with how strong she is that she will be alright though, it is too soon to tell." With that she then backed out of the room and closed the door. Dario moved to a small chair that was at the head of the bed. The girl within the sheets looked so small and weak. So different from the way that she had looked at the ball. He remembered her now. She had been the one that was standing there with Harlen when the other girl had approached him. When Harlen had then approached him she had been left there alone with Izar. He did not know where the male was now though he would have to find him and talk to him. It was hard to look at the girl for too long even with not knowing her it was hard to see the pain that she was obviously in. Luckily the sheet covered most of the injuries.
Figure was about to jump up in defiance as the being of the other's sentence came forth with "I am sorry but I also can not allow you to see her.....", but the duke quickly reined himself in as the rest of the statement flowed forth, a slightly relieved sigh escaping while dome once more lowered to be supported by his hands. Crown lifted again as the sound of footsteps coming closer caused him to suddenly become alert to his surroundings. An intense, hopeful stare was directed towards the nurse that now appeared, saying that they could see the lass now. Instantly, limbs pushed him upward to a stand, gaze shooting towards the monarch and following behind him apprehsively after he gestured for the shifter to follow. Chin dropped till orbs were watching his fingers as they toyed uselessly with the others. Part of him hated to have to see his beloved in the horrid condition he knew she would be in, but then Erixic knew he needed to. It was imperative that he support the essa no matter what was wrong or how it would effect him to see her as she was. Adams apple bobbed as he swallowed hard, having entered into the hospital like room where they were keeping her. Dario had moved off to the right as soon as they had entered, giving the other male a full view of the lady where she lay upon the bed. For a moment, movement came to a complete stop, a deep breath being brought into lungs and then released before strides took him to the maiden's side, one hand immediatly grasping gently onto hers while the other moved towards her forhead, forefinger curving as he ran it lightly over her skin, pushing one of the strands of hair that was laying in the way of her cheek. Torso leaned over her, bodice bent at the waist while Erix struggled with himself to keep composed. Too choked up to say anything, the baron swallowed again and a kiss was placed on her forehead and then her rose lips, his own lingering while lids closed forcefully over depths. Attention was turned towards the nurse as she entered, updating them on Ayrn's condition. Throat was cleared, before tongue ran over dry lips, making it obvious that the lord had something he wanted to say. I don't know if it makes any differance at all, but Ayrn is a shifter. Our kind tend to have a higher healing rate than most. With that, eyes turned back to look at the features of his woman. God, she looked so pale! This was quite strange considering her tanned skin made it almost impossible for her to ever look white, but this time, her facade almost matched the color of the sheets she was laying upon and wrapped in. It was then, staring at her beautiful, familar guise, that the bloke started to wonder who could do such a thing and then the rage began to fill his heart. Hard, dark gray liquids turned to look at Dario, some sort of decision in their depths that was not really recongizeable. When did you find her like this? Where? Do you know who has done this?
We already knew that she was a shifter. When she was bound with the chains it was apparent that she had been in her other form therefore telling us that she had tried to defend herself. The person must have been either quite strong or had certain powers since she is not fragile and weak like most girls and I do believe she would have been able to hold her own especially in her other form. One of the main complications came when she switched back forms since there was a chain around her muzzle in her other form when she switched it was then around her neck cutting off the circulation and some of her breathing. He then took a deep breath recounting the story made him feel slightly nauseous though to him the important thing was to get the girl healing to get her better. He knew that his gaurds at this very moment were trying to track down the person who had done this to her though he also knew that something this calculated the person had thought of how they were going to get away and how they would hide they thought of all these situations. Some of the gaurds are looking into the situation as we speak though you must know the person who did this to her most likely targetted her and had it all figured out what he would do in each of the situations. I had come from the ball and heard a strange noise. I tried to creep up on the person though they heard me and by the time I got to her I knew that if I went after the person and left her there she would be dead. She was the priority and not to mention with how calculated it was it was very likely that he would have lead me on a wild goose chase and simply had an accomplice pick her up and then I would have nothing and she would be dead so I think I made the right decision. He stated emerald voids looking to the other male. A palm was placed gently on his shoulder. I know how you feel though have faith. I think she will be alright. Just give it time. He knew that right now the girl did not need Erix to be angry she just needed the support. She needed him to be there and needed him to understand that she might not ever be the same again. Dario then stepped back giving the other male some room. He would not leave the medical center for the entire night knowing that this girl was in danger she was a walking target and who was to say that this person was not stupid enough to try and take her again which would be easy when she was in this state. She would not be able to put up a fight so it was important to him to make sure she was never left in the situation.
The nightmares seemed to be worse then the situation. I was not unconcious and I could somehow hear all the words that the two males were speaking. Who either of them were I did not know though I could not move. Every bone and joint in my body seemed to ache and the pain was utterly imbearable. I listened to them talk. She had been attacked? Why? By who? None of this she could even remember. She did not know what day it was and could not remember anything from the whole day today. Finally she managed to move. Just slightly though just a small twitch of her index finger though she was overcome by how much even that small of an action hurt and how much it made her tired. Trying to form words though that seemed hard when you could not even open your own eyes.
Frown formed upon features at the other's explaination of how they already knew the lass was a shifter, confusion wrapping itself in his mind as he thought back to previous times when he himself had been injuried, in combat of coarse. If she had managed to shift, it was strange that the wolf had allowed her to transform back into the human form. Instint usually ruled supreme within the mind of the hunter and for the weaker half, the mortal, to become in control again when the body was harmed, it was a very tough thing. Especally since as shifter's they healed better in the wolf form than they did in their human, the wounds usually being smaller as the room to impose an attack was decreased. Gaze turned back to Ayrn, thumb running gently over her forehead. It must have been painful for her, the change. All the cuts and bruses inflicted would have been streached to fit the skin of her human form, bringing more pain than Erixic cared to imagine her being in. True, the maiden was a strong willed one, but even the strong had their crumbling points. This he knew from personal experince. As Dario went on to answer his questions, the duke did not have to have much of an imagination to know immediatly who would have planned to steal Ayrn. Jaw clenched and the hand that was holding hers tightened its hold. Dillon. Of coarse. They could not go anywhere to escape the stupid son of a bitch. At one point in time, he had thought the bastard was dead, but now, he was noy so sure. Could the devil really die? No, Erix did not believe so. He suddenly noticed how hard he was squising the girl's hand and automatically released his grip. Liquids lifted to look up at the ruler as his hand landed upon his shoulder. Appreciative smile was given to him before focus returned to the damsel. I don't know what to do. I know I should be here in case she wakes, but I want to find who did this to her. Erix paused for a moment, swallowing before continuing. We've been though a lot. Her past hasn't been exacally forgiving with us and now that its source is slow close, it is hard to not think about taking care of it once and for all. Teeth chewed on the inside of the drake's lower lip, smokey pair continuing to watching his lover's motionless mask, not even thinking about the prospect of no memory of him remaining within her mind.
A frown creased the males features as he spoke. Clearly he was not thinking right. For him to even considering leaving her in this condition for the sake of revenge was not something a sane man would do. Ivories clench along his bottom lip as he noticed the females hand starting to move it appeared that this would be the first step in her regaining her state of mind. Please do me a favor and think about it, she needs you, revenge can wait you know you are safe here and how would you feel leaving her again unprotected, well not unprotected of course but without you being here? I know if it was Harlen I would not be able to leave even if she was in the best of hands. Of course though I support whatever you choose and I am here to protect her anyways. Two sets of eyes is often better then one. He noticed that she was starting to stir more and more and almost looked as though she was going to start to wake up. She was on enough medication to make an elephant feel stoned though he agreed with the nurses that she might freak out when she woke up and for her own safety she needed to be on a little bit of a tranquilizer. She is waking up. I will leave you for a few moments I am going to get some coffee it will be a long night. Would you like some? And so you know she might be a little groggy she was given a mild sedative in case she freaked out when she woke up. For her own safety. He stated waiting only long enough for the male to answer before his destination became the small cafe that he knew that he could count on being open at this time of the night. After all many of the creatures here were night creatures and therefore they needed a place to go when they were awakened for the night. Palm pushed the door open as he then walked to the front.
She could still hear them talking though now it sounded as if it was so far away and as though she was not even in the same space. A small groan passed through rose kissers though instantly it was regretted on how much it hurt. Just the feeling of the air leaving her chest felt as though someone had stabbed her right in the chest. Quite frankly she was scared to open her eyes. Scared to see just how bad of condition she was in though oddly she felt a lot more calmer then she would have ever imagined. In any other situation hearing that she was just attacked by two men she was not even sure that she knew would have caused her just about to jump out of her skin much less not allow herself to pretend to be sleeping in the same room. What if they were the bad guys? What if they were just pretending to be the ones that helped her? All that was left at bay for now she needed to focus on waking up she felt as though it was important that she now woke. As if if she did not there would be something bad that happened. Slowly emerald pools were then revealed to the world finding the other pair within the room staring at her. Frame tensed and instantly tears welled up within her eyes. Trying to snatch her hand back from the male. Who.. are you? The first word seemed to be the hardest and the last part was rushed partly because it hurt too much to talk like a normal person and air that seemed to pass through her lungs left a burning sensation. She was unable to move either of her arms until she realized that her left arm was casted and her right arm held a bandage all the way to her elbow. Eyes were then closed once more and she almost sucumbed to the darkness. She could not imagine how horrible she looked, if it came anywhere close to how horrible she felt. She felt paralyzed, too scared to move knowing how much even the slightest bit hurt. The nurses now came in to simply check to make sure she was not freaking out and left as soon as they saw that she was staying quite calm.
Limbs carried the man away from the scene, vampire speed went into play here. Once he reached the front of the castle, everything seemed to calm, his breathing became normal, and his face less terrified. 'Aw shit, I should have never left her.' His eyes closed and opened. The man stood up straight and started back into the castle, his clothing, not even the tad bit distroyed. Although there was one drop of blood on his shoes. Arms shoved the door as he entered the ballroom. He went in search of Dario. The sapphire eyes blinked. He quickly found Dario, near the medics. When he arrived near Dario he did a deep bow. "I'm sorry about my tardiness, it seems I got lost in the castle, after trying to find something I lost." He rose from his bow. He stood in his guard like stance, shoulders back, back straight, head held high.
Crown turned to look in the male's direction, nares pulling in a deep breath as he considered the words and grudingly decided that he had to agree. To leave her, even in the capable hands of the monarch, was simply not an option for him at this moment in time. Once the lady was back on her feet and back at their house instead of in this solitary room, then he could start thinking about finding the beast who had done this deed. Dome nods slowly in understanding, chin turning back to tilt downward at the lass's face. He felt a jerk of her finger against his palm and nearly jumped out of his skin in surprise, pools quickly darting to look at where his hand lay against the matress holding hers. Was this supposed to be happening so quickly? How could it be possible for her to be waking up so soon? Especally after all of the medication they had pumped into her system. Smokey pair jumped in the direction of Dario, a concerned question in his depths. Lids closed breifly while the drake attempted to force himself to relax, taking a deep breath then releasing it before allowing vision to return. Skull shook, refusing the offer for coffee easily before focusing attention back to Ayrn where it should be. The lord was not a big coffee drinker and did not think it would do much good for him now. There was nothing that would make him fall asleep tonight as long as the damsel still needed him. Rest could wait until all of this mess was over. The sound of rubber hitting the floor faded down the hallway while the ruler moved off to fetch his coffee, leaving the duke alone with his lover for the first time since he had learned of her injuries. Hand moved to rest upon the top of her crown, thumb rubbing her forehead affectionately. What am I going to do with myself, Ayrn? I haven't been able to keep my thoughts straight at all tonight and its only gotten worse as the moments drag on. Sigh escaped diaphram while the baron finally started to look around for another chair that he could move to the side of the bed to sit in. He was just about to move across the room to grab one when he felt a tug upon his fingers and jerked his head back to the girl only to be met with confused and slightly scared vocals asking who he was. Didgets instantly went limp and it felt as if his heart had just been torn into pieces. Sure, the nurse had warned him that there could be damange to her memory, but the possiblity hadnt seemed REAL to him until now. He forced the knot in his throat down and pulled his hand away from hers, knowing it probably was best to not push the issue. Erixic then moved to grab the chair and pull it beside the bed, sinking down into the seat before turning his attention back to Ayrn. My name is Erixic. Dont try and force it. It's best if you just relax right now. You've been though a lot tonight.
Frame tensed as suddenly he knew he was not alone which was common in the area though this presense sent his skin crawling. A bad feeling washed over the male. A small growl escaped lips as they then became pressed to his coffee cup before entire chassis swivelled coming face to face with Izar. The male reeked of blood. Even though it was not apparent on his clothing it was still there. You better have a good explaination on where you were? Convieniently there was no accounting of you when a girl went missing. Shortly after, you were the last to be seen with her she was found in a river of her own blood bound by chains. Merely a coincidence? I ask. He did not know the male well enough to give him the benefit of the doubt especially when he had seen what he did to the man before with his chains. Frame was poised shoulders drawn rigid over his frame in anger though he fought to control himself long enough to at least hear the words that would come from his mouth. It all started to make sense now. The chains being a dead give away though he knew that with the accusations he just gave that either the male would try to attack him or blatently deny it and he was ready for either. Emerald pools were cold and showed the real monster within the male which had not been present for quite the time though the rage was building. He told himself that no actions would be made though until he either admitted to it or it was proved. Come with me. It was not an option but rather a harsh command as he then lead him in the direction of the medical centre.
Eyes were closed and for some reason she felt safe with this man. She did not know who he was though her state of mind was that if he was here helping her and trying to make it all better he could not be too bad of a person. She would have to find out who he was to her later but right now she was much too tired. The tension was starting to wear off and a small sigh escaped rose kissers before she then turned her attention to relaxing as pools were then shut. Before too long her eyes then opened again. Thank you. She stated quietly not really knowing what she was thanking him for though perhaps just being there to protect her when she needed it the most after all it was not as though she could even move enough to talk never mind defend herself. She knew this was going to be a long road to recovery and she was not looking forward to it considering how much pain she was in. Her vision was even blurry with how much she hurt.
Heavy sigh escaped through mouth as the words she spoke, dome dropping once again to be supported by hands. God! He was going near stir crazy in here! And it did not help that not only now was the lass pretty much out of comission, she also did not remember anything about him. How could I be so naive as to think this wouldnt happen? I have been warned of its occurance, so many times and still I allowed the event to strike me as hard as it did. The lord had been stupid. Ignorant to what was almost destined to have happened. And he had paid for it. It was silly, but something inside of him had been confident enough to reassure the baron that under no circumstances would Ayrn ever forget who he was or what they had together. Forefinger and thumb rubbed his own temples. It was no use thinking about this and yet, there was nothing else to think about. It wasnt like he could carry on a conversation with the maiden laying in the bed. She was too weak and knew nothing of the past or present. I am hopeless tonight.
A brow was raised slightly and even that motion hurt. It seemed like what hurt the most was breathing though. Partially with the tubes being down her throat she was not suprised she managed a small smile though. So what happened to me? She uttered softly though she was sure that she really did not want to know and perhaps this guy didnt even know. For some reason she felt as though she knew him though and he was someone to trust. And how do you know me? She was starting to feel a little better not as sick to her stomach and able to actually start to think so the questions seemed to start flowing. Emerald pools were then turned to meet his gaze waiting for the response. You don't have to stay here you know I am sure that I will be fine I mean the nurses are here. She stated not really understanding why he was here. Sure he seemed as though he was an important part of her life though she was not the type to be in a serious relationship was she? Maybe she had made a change? Though how likely was that.
Dome lifted as femine vocals came into the air, the question hanging between them while the lord tried to sort out how to explain it to her. Should I tell her all that I know or just keep it simple and reassure her that she is safe? The latter option was quickly tossed out the window as a possibility. Ayrn would want to know all she could about what had happened to her, no matter if it triggered brutal memories that were now missing from her mind. I'm not quite sure what exacally happened. From what Dario, the other man who was in here, has told me, I gather that you left the party for some reason and then were attacked. At sometime, you had managed to shift, but were bound with chains in the wolven form so when you changed back to human form, they were too tight upon your body and cut off your wind pipe and some of the blood flow. That I what caused the memory loss. All of your injuries are of coarse because. . . Tunes hesitated, the man fighting with the word and his own emotions before forcing himself forward. Because the person who captured you also beat you. The drake became deathly quiet after finishing, smokey pair staring off at the opposite wall, the bleached color causing his vision to blur while a million throughts raced through brain. Attention snapped back to the present as yet another question came from the lass, one which he had hoped she would not ask and yet knew she was bound to be curious about. Frown formed upon features as once again the challenge arose to address what they were. We met about six months ago and have lived together for quite some time. A small half smile came upon tired facade as she spoke the next sentance, a short, dismissive chuckle escaping while the baron shifted his weight backwards, spine leaning against the back of the chair while muscles relaxed further, feet sticking straight out in front of the male. No. I will remain here as long as you are here. I won't make the same mistake twice in one night. Frequency grew lower as the last statement came from his mouth, gaze that had been level with the maiden's emeralds dropping to the floor at first and then looking off to the right not too long after, the brute unable to met the other's occulars any longer
Izar let his emotions run dry as he followed Dario. "I had lost my keys for the castle and I went looking for them. I thought she'd be fine there..." He dropped his voice off. "I'm a terrible guard." His voice became softer. What really happened was burried deep back in his memory, let to be forgotten. Soon he would try again, after all this calms down. He blinked his eyes and balled his hands into fists.
