It had been three weeks now. Since the day that I had been attacked, by who? Well we were working on that though I still had no idea. I had been assured by Dario that the person was taken care of though I could not help the nagging feeling in the back of my mind that he was not telling me everything that he knew. Over the time of my recovery he had personally visited me many times always bringing flowers from the gardens of the Courtyard it was a nice gesture and I knew that he felt slightly responsible since he ran the Coven and never should a dangerous member be allowed within the walls though I did not blame him after all how is it possible to make sure that everyone within the walls did not have a negative thoughts towards one another. Sure it would be different if they had put him in danger he would have realized that right away though it is impossible for him to keep every single person safe within the walls. Although I was mostly recovered my strides were still short and my limp was impossible to miss. My one ankle had been damaged to a greater extent and while I knew it was healing it still was sore by the end of the day. As for Erixic, he had never left my side and I was starting to trust the male that I knew I had trusted before. It became apparent where I had fallen in love with him and for what reasons and sure it would be flattering for him to know that I had fallen for him the initial time though I did not know how he was going to take it when I told him that I had fallen for him once again. Sure it was not possible to fall in love with someone twice but when you have no recollection of the previous time I figure that it is fair game. A small smile crossed heavenly features before I continued on my way steps were getting easier and easier though I was not allowed to walk more then around the house since I knew that if I kept going I would not make it. Small steps at a time thats what recovery is all about. I really hoped thats the way it would be for my memory as well. Imagine living in the dark with only the memories in which one person can share with you for over three weeks. It was agony. Everything was still so fuzzy and seemed impossible. Palms were placed into pockets though that caused my wrists to ache where the stitches were. I could not imagine the scars I would have from this and winced at even the thought. Especially the one on my neck which looked as though someone had seriously tried to slit my throat. How could someone be so callous to even consider doing this to someone which really made me wonder about my past.
Deep sigh was released from the weary frame as the drake started up the steps to the all too familiar house. So much had happened over the past few weeks, the amount was dizzing. Heck, half the time, the lord felt as if he wouldnt remember what he had done the day before if his new routine wasnt so set in stone. Ever since Ayrn had been found laying outside the coven life had become slightly more complicated than before. Sure, all of the physical wounds had almost healed completely, but the loss of all memory of her past at all had kind of put Erixic in a strange position. He had moved himself to the couch; sleeping there to his dismay, but no matter how much actual sleep he had managed to get he continued to do so for the lass's sake. After all, who would sleep with a man whom, to their knowledge, they had only known for merely three weeks? Besides, for the drake it was worth all his sacrafices to be waking up in the same house as her and often times to the sight of her in the kitchen. Even though being around the girl continued to make the baron happy, at times, it only increased his sorrow and anger. Yesterday morning had been one of those mornings where the man had woken up to the sounds she made in the kitchen as she made breakfast. She hadnt noticed him yet so Erix had kept quiet, simply watching her with his head propped up by his elbow. When the vixen finally did realize that she was no longer the only one awake, a brilliant smile and been turned towards him and her heavenly vocals greeted him with a "Not even going to say goodmorning?" The simple, playful question had caused his features to go ashen and stomach to churn as immediatly mind took the bloke back to the time when they had first arrived here and she had said the exact same thing to him just after getting back from her morning run. Of coarse, the fatal's memory was damaged and so she would not remember this. The shifter had to quickly disguise his expression by standing suddenly and after muttering a quick "Good morning" had headed towards the shower. That wasnt the only time the damsel had reminded him of past days spent together either. It killed him to know their past when the fea knew nothing and each time something like that happened, Erixic always ended up pouring himself over all the evidence Dario had managed to gather about her attack for longer periods of time. Soon after Ayrn was able to move back into their home, the lord had asked the monarch for permission to invesitage the crime and dispite the warnings Dario had given the man, the wolf refused to listen and eventually, the ruler had ended up giving him everything he had. This, was yet another thing that made Erix die inside each time Ayrn smiled at him for he kept the investigation secret from her, not wanting to place more stress upon her shoulders than what there already was. Never before had he kept anything from the woman and felt dreadful about doing so now, but he felt as if it were important for her not to know. Too quickly, the male had reached the door and after standing blankly in front of it for a second, hand turned the handle and strides carried him inside. Arm pushed door back into the frame and toes pushed shoes off feet from the heel as a soft sigh escaped. Once again, a whole day spent leaning over all the stuff Dario had given him turned up to be useless. Erix was still no where close to finding the guy who had done it and the endless time he spent thinking about it was starting to wear on him physically.
Steps were easier then they were before as muscles shifted beneath the surface trying to compensate for the ones that were injured. It seemed as though the more that she walked the better it was getting the more they were loosening up. It would be a long time though before she would recover fully. I guess she did thank that she would make a full recovery though. Palm reached up to draw across the thin scar along her neck as a sharp inhale was gathered within her nasal cavities. It reminded her everytime of how close she came to death that day. Yet she knew nothing except what she had been told and that was something that bothered her. She wanted to know for herself she wanted to have memories, she knew that there would be good memories and horrible memories though that did not matter since she right now felt like an empty void they were a part of who she was. And she could see how much it killed Erix. That was not something that no matter how hard he tried that he would be able to hide and in the same situation perhaps she would feel the same. Strides carry her to a part of the castle she had not been since the incident. The courtyard leading to the ballroom. She walked right up to the entrance knowing that it would be locked since it was not in use though she was going to try and figure out what happened. She had been told that she had walked from the ballroom out the door and into the forest behind the area. Nothing, Nothing looked familiar or even felt remotely familiar a small sigh parted rose kissers as she fought back the tears of frustration. Then a thought came to mind. Why she had not thought of it sooner she didnt know. Strides were almost frantic as they carried her back to the house in which she shared with Erix, it tended to be quite awkward when you didnt even know the man who you fell in love with although even with the slight bit of hostility she could feel herself falling for him... again. Though he tended to be quite distant. Finding him within the confines of the house she put her plan into action. Getting closer then she had been in the past three weeks arms were wrapped around him. Everything felt right. She felt safe. And then came the suprise, lips were pressed to his, in a soft tender manner. Eyes were closed gently as everything seemed so normal. This is what seemed so familiar. It was then that all the memories started to come back, one at a time. She remembered the night of the ball she had arrived with Erix and he had been off looking for something when she went outside and was attacked. Stepping back from him she was scared that it might stop the return of her memories. Luckily even with her pulling back it didnt. She remembered now when they first moved into this house. She remembered when she was pregnant and lost the baby a familiar sense of loss washed over her. She remembered not being with Erix for a long time then coming back and having him take her back in open arms. Her fondness for him growing with everything that she remembered though it was all still a little overwhelming yet. Her mind felt as though it was being flooded and a head ache gnawed at her temples. Steps carried her back outside. Surely, he would see this as strange behaviour though it had been the kiss that triggered it, something that was so powerful when they were together to allow her to remember everything. Reaching the porch she sat on one of the steps her head in her hands as the fresh air might make the throbbing in her head feel a little better.
Hand ran over the duke's face, pulling upon the skin there slightly as strides carried him towards the bathroom, hand swinging the door closed behind him. The same hand turned the water for the sink faucet on and then joined with its partner to splash water on the lord's face. Chin lifted upward and for what seemed like the first time in days he saw himself in the mirror, the bags under his eyes from lack of rest standing out most to him. Damn. I look like shit. Frame was then pulled away from the mirror with a sigh and the door pulled open again, fingers undoing the buckle on the man's pants before hand jerked the belt from its loops, heading towards the dirty clothes hamper as he then grasped the edges of his shirt and pulled it over his head. He was just about to undo the button on his jeans when the front door slammed, stature immediatly tensing and chin jerking up, gems suddenly bright and limbs backtracking until vision of the forefront of the house was unblocked. Surprise lit up voids at the sight of Ayrn and the blokes whole being relaxed, occulars softening and an attempt at a smile being made. He..... His greeting cut off as the lass continued forward without stopping and pressed her lips to his abruptly. For a moment, his skeleton remained frozen, in a slightly shooked state. Nothing moved except the lids as they shut and kissers while they moved almost mechanically against the girl's rose tissues, the action more of a impluse rather than a thoughtout movement. Almost as quickly as it had begun it was over, leaving the baron dazzed and slightly confused on why the essa had kissed him now. Shades lifted and frown creased brow at the seemingly outlanish expression upon the lady's face. It was then that mind started to work again and one hand moved out to reach for her elbow, falling short as the lover turned around then and headed out the front door. What was she thinking about? What did the kiss mean? Then, it seemed to strike him suddenly, every piece falling into place almost as if on cue. Of coarse! Her memory was regained! At least some of it anyway, what extent of it, there was no telling. Hurried strides took Erixic out to the porch, urgancy slowing as the hot air from outside surrounded him. Carcass slid down onto the step behind her, one leg on each side of her and head bending to come on one side of the woman's face. Ayrn? Gentle vocals prodded softly, position relaxed as he waited for the answer.
Palms encased the females head as it pounded with the over exersion from the memories all flooding back at the same time. She could barely function sitting there though she heard Erix approach and managed to gather her thoughts long enough to speak. I remember. The words were choked from her lips as she then stood long strides carrying her back and forth on the deck though she did not care how she looked she needed to keep her mind as clear as possible and it seemed to achieve that affect it was as though everything just fell back into place. Like it had never been missing. She then saw the face of her attacker clear in her mind. She knew that she would not allow it to bother her though since she and Erix now would be needing to clean their lives back up and it was the last thing that either of them needed. He would not be back she could tell that and so therefore she would continue pretending like she did not have a clue who it had been. Even though she knew it was the gaurd of Dillon's his name she did not remember since he had never been a huge part of her stay in that hell hole. She didnt know that he was even still alive since she knew that Dillon would have been quite angry especially after she escaped for the second time. How he found her here she would never know though that didnt matter as she pushed all the thoughts about him from her mind. Finally as the throbbing stopped she took a step closer to the male a deep inhale was taken bringing confidence within her. Its funny you know I remember everything now and even when I didnt I was definately falling for you all over again. It was like falling in love twice. Vocals were soft towards the male. After all he had been there for her the whole time, never leaving her side at the hospital, always being so understanding she could not imagine how frustrating it would be if the roles were reversed. She hoped that their life was able to go back to normal now they had been through too much so much in the past little while that she wondered if it really was possible for them to just be normal or if their relationship thrived on being so much drama. Eyes were closed for a brief moment then were cast over the scenery she always marvelled at how amazing it was here. It was a completely different atmosphere then where she came from though it was a welcome change. Something that without Erixic she felt as though she would never be capable of. She seemed to be more confident when with him knowing that he was there when she needed to turn to someone. This was the first day since the accident where she felt as though she was confident enough to actually go out. She felt too cooped up in the house all of a sudden. Pace then carried her with ease through the door and into their room long silken locks fell straight along her spine as she pulled it down from the pony tail it had been in before. She dressed in a silky white shirt that was low cut and covered it with a double breasted charcoal jacket since the night was starting to get a little colder. It seemed that it was so hot here in the days and then the nights seemed to cool right down. Dark denim hugged her lengthy pillars and a single strand of pearls adorned her collar bone. Sure they did not cover the large scar there though she didnt care. Why bother trying to hide an experience. Quickly then she made her way to the washroom and opened the makeup bag which had laid unused for so many weeks. Mascara was applied and then she returned to where Erixic stood. We are going out. She stated with a small smile.
Form leaned back as the essa stood up then twisted while she walked onto the porch. Steel pools watched as she paced back and forth, tongue wetting his lips before mouth parted and released hoarse words. "I figured you had." Tunes were quiet and it didnt really matter if he spoke them or not. What was she thinking about? What all did she remember? Did everything about her past return or just pieces? Part of him hoped that some of the things Dillon had done to her would be lost forever, but then again, the vampire son of a bitch helped to shape their relationship and who the lady was today. Who knows what would happen if the history was no longer history. At least one of his questions were answered when the lass spoke next, a slight shock hitting him full in the chest at her words. Fallen from him again? For some reason, before just then, he hadnt realized the real intensity of the situtation and really, it was just plain stupid. Of coarse without her memories she hadnt loved him. Why then did she stay around? Had she been falling for him, again, the entire time? He was still in that same dream like state when the fatal disappeared into the house, the male hardly lifting his gaze to watch as she moved away. Even then thoughts moved like molassess. Erixic didnt bother with wondering where she was going or what was happening he was too busy processing what had already happened. Only when she returned with dressy clothes on did he finally start to pull himself out of limbo. Still, iron depths stared up at her with a blank look, brow furrowing slightly. What He managed to blurt out before shaking his head frantically, trying to think clearly for once.
A dazzling smile appeared on lips corners of rose kissers turning upwards to accent the high cheek bones that adorned the females features. Heavily lashed pools close for a brief moment to adjust to the light on the porch and then return to the male as he seemed too stunned to say anything. A brow was raised as even when she announced she wanted to go out for the evening he did not make any motions to the door to go get changed. He was not the type that would not change before going out for the night, he cared too much so she began to wonder what was going through his mind. Come on we will talk about this all over dinner. But I have been cooped up for long enough. Palm reached for his hand petite digits entwining with his, it all felt so natural again once more. Even though she remembered all her past now it still felt slightly strange almost as though it had not happened to her and she was just watching all of her past from a distance. She knew that she looked stunning though Erix seemed to be too distraught to even notice. Pillars carry her to the door once again, she hoped that he would comply and simply walk along with her since her strides would not even slow if they didnt and he might be dragged. Holding the door open she then pulled him through the door frame not trusting him to be with it enough to open it for himself. Leading him the direction of the bedroom joints then bend allowing her to take a seated position along the bed waiting for him to do something. Whats wrong? Tones were gentle as they floated within the space between them wondering about the strange expression cast along his handsome features. Lately since she had returned from the medical center she had been so occupied with getting better herself that she had forgotten how good looking he was. A small smile lit up gentle features. Standing once more a single step carried her to his side. Boldly palm then was raised so digits rested gently along his collar bone in a tender gesture. Her face was now mere millimeters away from his and she could feel his breath against her cheek. Palm raised to rest along the back of his neck as lips were brought to his. Pools close gently as her mind simply was allowed to go blind. She could allow herself to be like this for the rest of her life and she would be happy though she was getting antsy and knew there would be plenty of time for this later and plus by the expression on his face she knew that he was troubled. Are you going to get changed? She asked gently before moving back to the bed. Knowing that it would still be awkward for him to change in front of her strides then carry her away from the room and into the kitchen. Pulling a chair from the table she then sat there. It was hard to believe how anxious she was. It was going to be her first real time back in public and instead of being nervous she knew that it was all going to be alright. She knew that the guy that had done this to her would be long gone by now and especially since she remembered who it was. It would be much scarier if she didnt know who or what she was looking for. He was a coward and she knew that in a straight up fight she would be able to give him a run for his money though maybe not right now since she was still weak and recovering though she did not doubt that Erix would protect her. He had after all been there for her through all this. Her mind then turned back to her losing her memory she knew that he had meant a lot to her so that was the main reason she had remained in the house with him even though at first she did not love her she knew that he loved her so therefore she wanted it all to work out and she was convinced that this was all just temporary and she would eventually remember everything and she was willing to fight for it so therefore it paid off.
Slowly, he allowed her to pull him up, shades blinking rapidly over iron orbs and the present returning to him still bit by bit. They moved past the door, the kitchen and into their bedroom, all of the colors of the different rooms flashing in his minds eye without the male really seeing them. Next, hazed and disjointed words came through to him, the feeling of her hand upon his chest making chin dip to look at where her palm lay. Facade lifted again and found the lass very close to him, her sweet breath flowing over his guise for the first time and it was then that his brain seemed to kicked in automatically. Lips met hers, arms moving instantly around her waist. All too sudden, the need for her hit him harder than it ever had before. Biceps flexed and even when the maiden pulled back he remained reluctant to let her go, dome lowering towards her features to again capture a kiss. Control! He screamed mentally at himself, managing to stop just before forcing their lips to meet again. Lower lip was pulled between rows of teeth, a deep breath flowing into his lungs as he kept his lids closed tightly. Everything that he had previously been zoned out for came flooding back then, an instant protest at what the woman had planned that night forming. Shades lifted in a quickly while her question enter his lobes, pools hard on hers, leaving no doubts as to whether he was all there or not. Stubborn syllables lept onto to his lips to reply, but she had already pulled away and headed towards the kitchen. Fist clenched at his sides and jaw worked tirelessly while the duke fought to contain his anger. Limbs carried him into the kitchen after her, hands placing themselves on either side of the femine body to box her in so she would be forced to listen to him. Are you nuts?! There is no way in hell you should be going out tonight with just having regained your memory. You don't even know what might happen! You've been through a lot and another set back would definatly not be good for your health and if you think I'm going to risk you being hurt again you are absolutely insane! We are not going out tonight. Chin was set firmly and mask was inches from hers, the intensity of the lords emotions nearly rolling off him in waves of heat. No, there was too much that could happen for Erixic to feel comfortable letting his beloved leave the house. He could not loose her again. Not for the third time. It had nearly broke him the second time. How could he live through it again?
If her intentions were not so clear she would have been lost in what came next. She was drawn into another kiss eyes closing for a brief moment before yet again it was over. A small smile overtook her features though it was genuine and lit up emerald voids which were intent on the male before her. Though the facial expression on his features was unreadable. He looked distraught almost, why she didnt know. She didnt sit in the kitchen alone for very long. He was with her again though it was too quick with not enough time for him to change so it was then that he saw the expression on his face one of almost anger. She debated moving though it was then that his hands blocked her. She fought the feeling to flee perhaps it was something that resided with her from the attack after all she remembered now fighting so hard to get free from her attacker though he had been too strong too overpowering. She almost had to remind herself that this was Erix though she then realized how ridiculous she was being and forced her breath back to normal and forced herself to once again relax. A deep inhale of slight frustration was emitted at the words that reached her. He ordered her not to go out. And a stubborn streak suddenly crossed her. A fire was alight back in emerald pools. Who was he to tell her what she was allowed to do or not. Last time she checked he did not rule her life and she was to do as she pleased. Fighting free from his hands slightly harshly she stood. Facing him now though she was about ten feet away at the other end of the kitchen. Emerald pools were stubborn. So now I am not allowed to leave the house. Last time I checked I was free to do as I wished. Tones were slightly harsh though she was caught up in the anger that now took a hold of her emotions. What are you going to do ban me to only the house for the rest of my life? Am I a prisoner? The smile that previously adorned her stunning features was long gone now and an unreadable expression of a combination of anger and confusion crossed her facade. I need to clear my head. Do you not realize how important this is to me. I have not been out there since the night of the incident and I am not going to let it haunt me. She was recovered now so there was no reason for her to be banished to the house. She took the long way around the rest of the kitchen in the direction of the front door slipping on a pair of well worn black flats and palm reached the door handle. She didnt understand why he could not be supportive and understanding. Ivories clamp her bottom lip to keep emotions at bay.
Mass leans back as his arms are shoved out of the way, unyielding orbs following the girl's figure while she moved to the other side of the kitchen. Hands tucked beneath forearms as they crossed in front of his chest, weight shifted back onto his heels. Mouth was set in a hard line, ready for the firey reply that was to be expected from the lady. Now that her memory had returned, the slightly independent attitude she aquired over the years before meeting him was now completely whole, no holes anywhere nor were there ways for him to pursuade her. Basically, it would probably come down to a tug of war and the lord being forced to use his physical ability to keep her here. One thing was quite well known, Ayrn did not appreciate his over protective actions or being told what to do, and her words that flowed out with a livid edge reminded him just how much. Teeth grind heavily against one another, fighting to keep his smart-alec comments at bay, but failing miserably while her sarcasm ran thicl. "Im starting to consider it." Vocals growl almost, reffering to her utterances that were ment to be a rhetorical question. The male flenched at the next string of sentences, dispise towards himself growing within. She sounded almost pleading, a flash of vulenerablility that Erixic recongized easily. It did not take twenty two years to learn what the beginning of tears sounded like. Every man seemed to learn such a thing very quickly in life so as to avoid getting entangled in the situation. Eyes soften slightly, knowing he had drawn this reaction forth, but their steel depths quickly forgot the need for sensitivity when the lass moved for the doorway, shoving on a pair of shoes before reaching for the handle. Framework lurched forward with only a hint of the added supernatural speed, hand slamming the door closed from where it had opened only a crack and holding it there while bulk shifted to almost block her way without pushing her hand from the handle. Lids close briefly and chin hangs towards the ground, jaw working visibly, the time obviously hard for him. Shades lifted again and gaze met emeralds, holding them with slight difficulty while lips part. "I cant, Ayrn." There was more he wanted to say, but the syllables just trailed off, leaving the lowly spoken, simple admitance so hang there in the silence. Irons could only meet hers for seconds after lyrics had been spoken before they directed themselves away, looking past her at the wall, at the floor, or another random object so as to occupy his overactive mind. Too much thought. Why did life have to be so complicated? Erix felt weak, defenseless like never before. Sure, the beauty had taken all the armor away multiple times before, but this was something new. It wasnt soft words or a gentle hand that had created such a ending. Instead, it was a chain of events, occuring over the coarse of the past few weeks, which now left him in this state, barely able to muster up the strength to stand against the will of the woman.
Plain and simple this was not a topic that was up for discussion either she went alone or he came with her but either way she was going to go. It was a part of her healing process that she knew that she needed and since she had full memory she knew that it was safe for her to go. So she was not sure how he was going to take this but no matter the words that came from his mouth her mind was made up. A stubborn look crossed her usually gentle features and it was then that became apparent how set she was on the decision. Erixic I may love you but I am not going to allow you to control me. I am going out tonight. With or without you. I wish you really could try to understand why I need to do this. I am not going to be cooped up in his house any longer its not healthy. She winced slightly as his hand fell on the door handle not allowing her out of the door. At least she had managed to get her shoes on that was one step. Now she would just need to find a way out of the house. She would wait until he was not expecting it and crawl out the window if she needed to. She could not help but feel how juvenile this felt her trying to get out and being trapped by him. She did not even feel the start of tears she was much too angry. How dare he tell her what she was going to do or rather what she was not going to do? It felt nice to know that someone was always watching over you but he had taken this to a new level. A level that he needed to know was not acceptable and one that she was not going to tolerate. She knew that the man who was responsible for her attack was long gone and if he wasnt he sure would be soon knowing that she knew who he was. Of course she would never tell this to Erixic. That would send him on a man hunt, and that was the last thing she needed now. The door slammed shut as soon as it had been even the slighest bit open. So he wanted to play this way then. Emerald pools were no longer soft as they had been they were now alight with a new determination and not because she actually wanted to go out anymore now it was just about winning this situation for her. He could not get away with this. Knowing he would not make a move towards her she wrenched the door open unluckily though she had lost a lot of strength with the injuries and he was still in the way. A sigh parted rose kissers and it was apparent the anger she was feeling by the burning gaze upon him. Let me out. It was not said with any sentimentality the tones were harsh and it was not a question anymore rather a command. She didnt know how she was planning on carrying through with getting out the door though if he did not open the door at least it gave her a little time to think of what the next plan of action would then be.
The enfuriated vocals of the lass came out and with their ring in the air, the sudden spell of weakness that had overcome the lord disappeared in an instant. Steel pools were once more hard as they directed their surfaces to the lady's face, mass looming forward towards her with hand still firmly upon the door. "Explain to me why it is so god damn important for you to put yourself out there again the night you regain your memory? Do you want to be sure that everything is correct? Do you want to see the face of the man that....." Instantly, it clicked within the drake's mind, orbs widening and no longer focusing on the maiden's features as the prospect seemed to slap him in the face. For one still moment, Erixic's face remained in that same expression, almost one absent thought for there was nothing except for one simple sentence repeating over and over in his minds eye. She knows who he is. She knows who he is! Suddenly, recongization returned to his laterns and they jumped to refocus upon the woman, one step taking him closer to her, nearly literally physically forcing her back as his heavy breath fell upon her guise. "You know his face
dont you? Do you think going out there and facing him would prove that you are stronger than him!?" The bloke was edging closer and closer to the ledge of hysteria, his yearning for the blood of the unknown attacker staining his mind, making everything else seem hazy for nothing else mattered. No, he would not let her out with the man still unnamed. Yes, she was strong and anywhere she went now would not be without the sandy haired duke as her shadow, but what kind of imprint had the attack left upon her? Was it as deep of a emotional wound as Dillon had inflicted? Was the secret reason behind this strange implusive urge to get outside of the house and into the public eye some kind of unfinished buiness she felt the need to clear up just as she had felt the need to return to the vampire's lair? Really, the man had no way of knowing whether he was wrong or right. Simply, he was trying to understand the reasoning behind the importance of Ayrn getting out of the house. To him, it was still too soon, her physicialgical state still to frigile to under go such a quick change of scenery.
Because I want to. Those single words should be enough to him. They should make him back off and just let her do what she wishes and what she thinks is important. But no he decides he is going to push the topic farther now. You know his face dont you? And there he goes thinking that she was that naive that she would actually let him know if she knew who it was. She wanted nothing more then for the male to suffer and to get what he deserved for the many years that he tormented her though she also knew how dangerous he was and would not allow Erix to go after him. Even if he was never caught she was not about to let the man that she loved out of her sight to try to do justice. It was simply not worth it to her. If I was this guy with all the investigating that you and Dario are doing I would be about as far away from the Coven as physically possible. And this is the safest time with all the new security. Her tone was quieter though still with the same harshness as before. Pools were then directed back at the male and she suddenly noticed the change in his features. Almost a savage appearance had taken over. Erix. I want you to stop this. I know you are secretly investigating this. After all I know what kind of a person you are but you need to drop this. For my sake. If you pursue this I dont think I can be with you. I could not stand to lose you. Where you need to be is by my side not off on a man hunt. Please. For me. It was then next words that took her by suprise. Do you think going out there and facing him would prove that you are stronger than him!? Did he not know much about her at all? He would know that this would be the worst thing possible and if she thought for a second that was the way it was going to happen she would stay locked up in the house. Though she knew that Izar was not stupid and would be far from here and she would never heal if she did not make an attempt.Taking advantage of this moment that he seemed too consumed by the lust for revenge she shoved him hopefully setting him off balance and palm closed on the door handle reefing it open. Steps were then quickly taken to the outside world. Time seemed to have passed so quickly while they were arguing and the sun was beginning its spiral to its resting spot for the evening. Rays of light shooting up into the horizon. Pools washed over the terrain of the courtyard where a few stray people meandered before then moving either off int the direction of the castle or in the direction of their houses. Steps carried her lithe frame down the stairs of the porch. She knew he would burst yelling from the door any moment now and she would have to savior the peace for only a few moments. It was not about getting out of the house anymore, it was about her being allowed to do what she wanted. He needed to learn that he was not going to rule her life. Sure he might want to keep a closer eye on her if that made him feel better but there was only a certain amount that she would allow and she was not going to ever ask his permission to leave the house. She had been in an overprotective relationship before and that did not end well. After all Dillon was dead now, unfortunately the death was not caused by her though he had it coming anyways. Palm was run through mocha locks before feet then hit the soft grass prefering to walk on the softer terrain knowing that in the morning her joints would scream with protest.
Teeth ground together at the fea's answer, her words revealing nothing and leaving him stilll starved for the knowledge of who her attacker had been. Sockets narrowed then, the naivity of what had been spoken to direct the man off the topic obviously not registering within the damse's skull, something that simply added more fuel to the fire. "Do you really think he would leave, just like that? Shit, Dario and I are no closer to knowing who it is than we are to knowing what really happened that night. If I were him, I would see no point in risking my exposure by leaving. If he hasnt been caught yet, what would make him think he ever will be?" Vocals pause for a moment, steel pair intent upon the lass as he let the logic sink in. "Besides, we both know why this man came after you as he did. Would you not be his final task?" Sure, it hadnt been said outright, but part of Erixic had known the day that the lady had returned from her week absence many months ago that Dillon was dead. Really, would she had been able to return if he wasnt? It was the next syllables that escaped the girl's mouth that practically stunned him, causing posture to straighten and pools to seem almost rock solid. All of this. Every single ounce of pain she felt, every second spent in the hospital room blaming himself and promising silently to make it up to the essa he was now expected to toss behind him as if it had never happened. Chin clenched at the thought, that stubborn streak itching to show its ugly face once again, but he forced his mouth to remain shut, the pressure applied to each jaw too much for the weak urge to overcome. Anything spoken now would be too hasty, too brash. Emotions had always been his enemy. If it werent for the vixen standing before him right now the beast would have already shed the wreched human form in return for the other, less complicated figure. Oh, how tempting it was to releave himself of those mortal worries! Sadly, shielding oneself from ones hardships was not how to work ones way through life. Thoughts had finally begun to gather when the force of another pushing hurriedly against his mass caught him off guard, causing the male to stumble just a little to one side. The next second, after he had realized what was happening and jumped to stop it, the fatal was already out the door, standing in the mere little lawn that streched before the house. Hand had reached for the handle and now it continued to hold the smooth, round brass in its grip, gaze casting outward, away from the building, watching her as she walked barefoot on the grass. Chest expanded as a deep lungful of wild air was brought inward, the fading rays from the sun still lingering upon the land and catching the colors of the maiden's hair and clothing, the lord notcing for the first time. God she looked beautiful, but when didnt she? Always, even when she thought differently, her appearance was perfect for him. Especally in the mornings when they had just woken up and she was trying to sneak off into the bathroom before he could see her messy locks. When the dame looked her simplest, that was when the duke found her most alluring. Sigh is let loose from diaphram, laterns drifting towards the wooden planks upon the pourch. I cant live without her. Maybe before, but not now. It seems we have traced our steps back to before we moved here, though. Neither of us seem to understand the other anylonger. We cant just pick up and leave again, but fighting is not what I had pictured we would be doing the day she regained her memory..... Another sigh is allowed out, relaxed position shifting as chin lifted again and liquids fell upon the woman. Suddenly, with no pause given to thought upon the action, limbs started forward, the door swinging shut behind him as the drake moved forward and down the steps. No, he would not yell as she expected. Step slowed as bodice reached the bottom step, hands shoving into jeans pockets and hip leaning against the rail on the right side of the stairs. "Ayrn." Cords released a level sound when he called out her name, an edge of yearning to the syllable as if the baron was holding himself back.
A small sigh escaped the maidens lips as chest heaved with frustration towards the hostile words in which were thrown in her direction. She did not allow herself to be weak though, that was a part of the past. A part in which she was hoping to let go. Once she met this man again she would be ready for him, not in a state of confusion and wandering blankly around. She debated now to ask the question which had been bothering her for the whole evening since she had regained her memory. Silencing it for a moment she would allow herself to weigh the pros and cons. I am not his final task. Dillon was not given the oppurtunity for last words, last wishes. It all happened much to fast for him. This would be for the mans self. I suppose you could call it payback. But Erix you must know that if you go after this guy you will lose me. I will make sure of it. I will not have you meddling in my past, something that I wish to put behind me. I know he will not come after me again. Trust me, you are better then this. She knew the man who had carried this task out like the back of her hand now that she had regained her memories. She then was able to hear him moving in her direction. His tone for the last set of words had been harsh though she had not even pivotted her body to look in his direction. Frame instantly grew tense as his steps neared her. Shoulders were drawn rigid as if she was bracing for what may come next, she knew it would never be more then harsh words but still they could have quite an impact. It was then that she decided that she was indeed going to ask the question that bothered her. Where were you when you left me with Dario's gaurd and Harlen? Where were you going? She seemed to find it impossible for him to have too many acquaintances other then the person who ran the general store and so therefore she did not understand where he had been going since he was not the type to simply walk away from her when they were at a party. It was an odd night and she just was curious where he had gone. It had bothered her that night she remembered that and that had been what she was thinking about when she had been attacked. He was a solitary creature so therefore off to socialize was something quite rare. Whatever he told her now though she would accept and totally drop the subject it had not been his fault. Eyes were closed then as she remembered the night more vividly then before. She knew that she would never tell Erix who it had been since in many ways the man had been just as much of a captive as she had been. Sure she had been set on revenge when she had finally escaped though the feeling soon past realizing that it would be dangerous and that she might lose her life for a little bit of feeling good. Forgetting the whole thing would be the first step of healing and that is what she was trying to do. She would not allow this incident come in the way and take her back to square one. There had been too much suffering. One of the reasons I love you Erix is that you have no connection to my past, keep it that way. Tones held nothing more then seriousness. She did not want him to become involved knowing that they would be sucked back into a violent circle. He needed to understand that the minute that he went after this guy she would stop healing all the pain from the previous events would come back to her and all she needed now was to try and live a normal life, like they should have from the very beginning and if he had learnt anything about her was that when she was told not to do something that gave her even more the reason to do it. Even if it was not the best idea at the time and him telling her that she was not allowed to leave the house was not about to even deter her. So much of the time resting had regained her strength and now this the memories that she had it seemed as though her mind was cleared and ready to be stronger then she ever was before. Sure there were still physical limitations though those would not be serious she knew that no matter what there would be pain since that is a nessecary part of the healing process. She paid little attention to the sense of yearning within the males vocals as he spoke her name though she did turn so that she was facing him. It was only fair if they were to engage in a conversation. She still remained at enough of a distance that if he made a move to take her back to the house she had enough time to get out of the males way.
Chest heaved in a sigh while chin jerked away from where the lass stood, lids closing breifly in a tired way. It wasn't surprising how quickly he had tired of this; the fighting that never seemed to have any compromises from either of them. At first, the man had been fueled by all of the worries he harbored about his lover's saftey, but now he felt as if they were useless thoughts his mind had conjured up to simply cause more stress in the relationship. This discussion had no reason anymore. Ayrn had already made up her mind and nothing he could say would change it, that much was visible. It felt as if the enamle on his teeth was shaved off as jaws clenched together, the strong muscle that ran along the baron's cheek bulging out of the smooth planes of his face. "Fine, Ayrn. I'm tired of this. Go, do whatever it is you need to. I'm sure if you wanted Dario would be glad to see that your memory has returned." Stance straightened then, bulk turning upon its heel and heading back up the stairs and towards the door, as if he were finally giving in and going to change so he could go with her, but one would have to be ignorant of who the duke was to believe this. True, Erixic plan was to go into the house and into the bedroom to change, but the attire he had in mind to wear tonight would not be the kind that anyone considered appropriate for "going out." Arm was streatched outwards towards the door, hand inches from the handle when the question uttered in his direction from behind him stopped the drake dead in his tracks, a long silence following while he remained frozen, either unable or unwilling to move from the position which he had stopped at. How could he had been naïve enough to not think about the possiblity of this situation? Everything that had happened that night had come back to the contessa and it wasn't like her to dismiss a small little detail that was as important as his whereabouts during the time of her attack. Legs were brought together, Erix's body as straight as a board with the exception of his head which was tilted downard, gaze trained without thought upon the hand that now grasped the smooth brass. "I thought I saw something. . . . But it was only a ghost of my past." Lyrics were quiet and wouldn't have been heard by the man's companion had she not had overly sensitive hearing capablities. With that answer out of the way, he continued on his way, jerking open the door and leaving it open, not bothering to shut it since he would be coming right back out soon enough. Did he think she would probe further into the subject? Heck, at this point in time, the brute would be happy if he guessed anything right about her and so he could not choose. The top drawer of his dresser was yanked open, fingers triffling through the clothing in search for the soft cotton fabric. Finally, tips brushed against it and didgets grabbed the garmet, pulling it from the drawer before pushing the wooden handle and letting it close with a snap. The sweats were tossed onto the bed then, hands methodically pulling off the pieces of fabric currently on the well developed figure. All were gone when he reached for the pants on the bed and jerked them over his legs, bending over to pick up what had fallen upon the ground afterwards and placing them in a hamper. Carcass then turned towards the door, long strides taking him easily through the bedroom doorway and into the living room. Whatever Ayrn had planned to do tonight, she would have to do it on her own. The shifter was tired of constantly being on edge and tonight was the perfect time to release some tension. Everyone has things the "need" to do.
A small sigh parted rose kissers that was not the answer that she had been looking for. For him to simply leave her there and not return there was something more to this story and why was he being so secretive about it did they really need to have secrets about their past this long into the relationship, if it could be called that. He then moved off into the house again. Steps were taken back up the stairs following him, though she noticed that the clothes that he was changing into were not ones that were suitable for her plans for the night. What was he doing? The whole idea of her wanting to go out had been because she wanted to be with him to spend time with him though he seemed as though he was about to go out and do his own thing for the evening. Ivories pressed lightly down on her bottom lip as she tried to tame her temper once again. So I am guessing you arent going to come with me? I wanted to spend time with you and that is the whole reason I wanted to go out, to try and make it seem like we were in a normal relationship again but I see you want to make everything complicated once again. Eyes were rolled in their sockets as she then took a step back seeing that he had not plans on coming with her. You know, you have to make an effort as well. If you dont want to help fix our relationship then I dont know what to say. She still had her shoes on which caused her not to even pause upon exiting the house. Her anger once again getting the best of her. She did not allow her senses to dull to her thoughts though that was what had gone wrong that fateful night. Where she was going she didnt know and she wished that he would simply make this a little easier on her. She refused to allow tears to fall she did not want to be upset now not on the night that she finally regained her memory, something that she was not sure was even going to happen ever again. A small smile fell upon her lips at this thought as strides then carry her lanky frame along the path to the restaurant. It would be pitiful for her to sit there and eat alone though it did not seem like Erix wanted to join her.
Strides haulted as the lady spoke to him, body turning to where his front faced her with jaw set in a hard line. No, Im not going with you. I thought you wanted to get out of here, get a change. Youve been spending pretty much all of your time with me over the past few weeks. Fingers clenched at the continued sentences Ayrn shot out of her mouth at the drake. The urge to reach out and grab her arm to stop her as she quickly brushed past him was so strong he almost did it, but the male had told the lass he was tired of the fighting and even if she continued to push the issue rather than let it drop, it was best if he simply relaxed. Lids closed over steel orbs as he listened to the door slam shut as the maiden continued on her way out the door, feet hardly landing upon the stairs as she allowed anger to drive her. Slowly, the footfalls begun to fade and the lord took in a deep breath and then opened his eyes as he let it out. Erixic couldnt dwell on this. He couldnt let this arguement make him change his mind tonight. We both need some time apart. Everyone always says its good in every relationship. Fingers gripped each side of the man's forehead at his temples. After standing there for a few moment, Erix finally turned around and headed out the door, nearly running by the time the door had swung closed. The transformation began then, human skin and bone shrinking and streaching to form a new animal. The sweat pants that the duke had pulled on within the house now fell to the ground, the wolf stopping just a few paces away and turning back to grab the pants in his mouth. Head jerked to one side and the pants were thrown around the thick, champane nape.
