He could sense the hesitation as Bri then seemed to pause before allowing him to follow her back towards the door of the truck though he did not have any tolerance for it the man was to back talk him and he knew that for the time being they would all be fine as he sat there politely which was probably something that bothered Kat even more as he drove with his hands then folded in his lap as a perfect passenger. As he stated that they could not let their hatred get in the way of this that was enough to silence him as he was still able to feel the tension but yet it was bearable as he then launched into the stories about the other people that would be present of the camp out and who they were and what their talents were since he knew that both of them had to be warned. Of course they would be careful but he would be a idiot not to warn them of what they were walking into. A lot of people would not even think that there would be a fifth watch person and the best part about their fifth watch person was that he was a telepath so he would send them messages that no one else would hear so that the others would find out about them long before they were even to realize that something was happening. They were quick and deadly and this group of elites were the reason that the entire group was one of the most feared. She seemed to have a photographic memory since they were then lead to the exact location in which he and Bri had not been too long ago and they parked by the side of the road. They were far enough out of the way that even if another car were to pass down the road they would not be able to see the truck and Dario was well hidden from human eyes in the back with the tinted windows where he was going to remain he could not risk even getting out of the car. Bri then took a moment to then reach over the back to plant a gentle kiss on his lips which brought a small smile to his lips as he then returned the affection. love you too, be careful and if he does something stupid please do me a favor and just leave him there. He stated softly with a small smirk knowing that she would not do such a thing though she was far too good of a person, too bad that he was not too sure if Kat would do the same for her. The two hours seemed to take forever and by the time that they returned he had been nervously waiting the entire time and his nerves were completely frazzled. He could tell that the moment that Kat got into the truck that there was going to be a minor altercation. Eyes were rolled in the manner as Kat spoke. I realize this is your tribe. You may also realize that I have your tribes best interest in mind since I could have just as easily taking Bri on a vacation for her to return to the tribe having been exterminated, long before it was even realized. This was simply all that passed between the two of them before they were then at the house after Bri had been giving him directions. He then made the orders for the pizzas before then turning his attention back to the man who had followed his fiancé into the dining room and Dario then took a seat across from him to rest his arms on the table and ask what they had found out. Kat then launched into the story which kind of surprised him since it did not seem like the would want to talk to the man since they had so many hard feelings between the two of them. They are after me just as much as they are the tribe, they are far from buddies. He then stated but even though the words got to him his expression remained calm and cool. He was then really relieved when Kat told him the reason that the other vampires were here since he had been worried that it had something to do with him for the entire time and he did not like to think that he might have put the tribe in danger when he was trying his best to win them over for Bri’s sake in their marriage. When he then explained what he thought might be a good plan what he had not expected was for Bri to pipe up and tell them that she could be the person that was being chased and instantly that was dismissed. My chase needs to be believable I could not make it believable chasing the woman that I love. When he then continued he then laid forth a plan that he agreed to, leading through the Eastern mountains and Dario nodded in agreement. The call would be made to Thierry just before they were to set out so that way they would not come looking for him in the meantime knowing that the word would certainly travel quick until the men in the mountains were aware. When he then requested that they meet him tomorrow to go over the plan he nodded once more as he made his way to the door before then asking Bri if he would be able to talk to her and he did not think too much of the private words that were spoken between the two of them. It seemed convenient that it was then that door rang and he grabbed his wallet off the table to then walk there past them at the back door and open the door to press a couple bills in the mans hand with a generous tip before closing the door and returning inside. Kat was long gone by the time that he did so and put the pizza back down on the table. He then pulled her down to sit on his lap on the chair that he had sat at arms settling lightly around her waist. I cannot agree to let you be the one that I end up chasing. I am sorry Bri I hope you are not offended. I cannot put you in that danger. It is not because I think Kat would do any better, I do not love Kat and if something were to happen to him it would not be a big loss, though I will not let anything happen to him either. Lips were then brought to hers to meet her before he finished the slice of pizza that had been brought before him after they were finished the rest of the pizza that they had not finished was placed in the fridge for the night before he then turned back to her. I guess we should go to bed since we are going to have a busy day tomorrow. He then headed back towards where their bedroom was in the back of the house where he changed into just his boxers and after brushing his teeth settled in their bed. After pulling the covers over the both of them a small sigh was released. Good night Bri. I promise once we are finished this we will start planning our wedding. Just as soon as this is all over. He told her before then drifting off into a light sleep. The next day they were to meet at Kat’s house so therefore he wanted to be well rested for whatever were to happen. He awoke the next morning long before the sun was up and moved to the kitchen to start breakfast where he then paced back and forth to try to set his mind at ease.

Lightly, she sat down upon his lap where he urged her with the slice of pizza dangling from her hand as she thought about the events of the day. Everything had happened so quickly she hardly had time to absorb and process all the information that was being gathered. Besides, there had been no time for that up to this point. The threat level called for immediate action which meant that she needed to focus on the tasks that were before her instead of the situation that brought about the need for such jobs. What made it even more difficult to come to terms with was that she was not only working with Kat, as expected, but also with her fiancé who the tribe usually had little use for and more often than not usually agreed on their general dislike of his presence. Apparently their views had momentarily changed now that the man had the means to help them with their vampire problem though whether or not they would continue to hold him in their good graces afterwards if things went smoothly was something the lass remained skeptical about. The two males had managed to not only utter only a few dark words at each other, but had actually agreed on something! However, she found she remained minutely displeased with this because they had both been against her suggestion of her involvement. Of coarse both would see her as a weak woman that needed to be protected, but it was her tribe as well. Why could she not be apart of their scheme any further than this? The decision had been made by them and in the spirit of democracy the lady refused to protest and Dario's words which soon broke through her thoughtful haze only served to solidify her decision on the matter. No my love, it is fine. I understand how it would be hard for you and I am not offended. It is natural for a man to want to keep keep what is his safe and I could not interfere with something that the Mother intended to be. Turning towards him, she spoke then kissed him gently on the forehead, before leaning away with a curious expression. Speaking of a man's protective instincts, he asked me to keep watch over Feylnx during the time that you both were away. He's worried that since she was with him she would be targeted. I did not know that man had the ability to care enough to worry about a woman. Thoughts trailed off as she pondered the request. Spending time with the other shifter's wife would not exactly be torture. Bri enjoyed the other woman's company and would rarely turn down a chance to see the brave young thing that agreed to a marriage to the beast that had just left their house, but the fact that the bloke chose to keep his bride in the dark about the danger she could be in was what truly bothered her. There should be no secrets among husbands and wives. The Guardian would not be the one to tell the other female; it was not fit etiquette. Body pressed closer to his while they ate, her brain slowly shutting down as it went over the blueprints once more. I have boundless faith in your ability to watch over that one, but I would not try to hard. He is sly enough and able to take care of himself. I personally am worried about my Night Walker returning to me in the same condition which he left even though I know you are perfectly capable to take care of yourself as well. Pointedly, she looked at him as she finished her last slice and then rose from her seated position to place what was left in the fridge. Heeding his suggestion, the damsel took him by the hand and led the way to the bedroom where she changed quickly for bed before climbing beneath the sheets which were soon lifted again as the drake too got into the bed. Sighing against him at his promise, she wiggled closer to his chest. Oh the days when ribbon color and cake design will fill my mind instead of the fate of my race. I cannot wait to begin planning especially because I know the ultimate end would finally be our marriage. Closing eyes, she let herself day dream for a bit before slipping off into slumber. The next morning, she showered while he cooked and they ate together before she moved back into their room to change into clothes proper for the city. Since there was no real need for her to be with the men except as a referee during their expedition today, she hoped that after a few trial runs to see how the pair would behave that she would be able to slips away and get a little something for their house with which she wished to brighten up their living room. Once they were both ready, they were in the car driving to Kat's place since she knew the way quite well. The duo got out there and we're greeted at the door by a tense looking man who invited them in while he got dressed. The tension seemed to increase tenfold once the shifter's wife walked into the living room and greeted them politely. Deciding that she would like to stay and talk with the other lass for a while, she turned to her man once it was time for their departure. I'll just stay here while you are busy. Come pick me up afterwards? I do not think it will take very long. Planting a kiss to his lips, she silently wished him luck while hand lingered upon his chest. I love you Lyrics whispered quietly enough to where the others assembled would not hear. Those words were for them alone to share. Soon enough, the men were gone and the women alone to talk as women will. Laughter burst forth at Feylnx's opening statement and Bricaza could not help agree. I got a promise from Dario that thy would return, but I agree with you. It is a bit of a foreign concept for them to be going together. Legs carried her to the couch where she sat down to talk to the girl for a while, trying to find out what was wrong. Something definitely seemed off. The normally relaxed vixen was nearly as nervous as her counterpart had been while she was in the room. Had they fought? and if so, what about? if Bri knew Kat, which she did, any number of things could spark his anger, but he hadn't seemed angry which baffled her a bit. A fight with that man usually spelled out high tempers on both sides and it appeared that neither were harboring a grudge, but rather just upset. Time passed surprisingly fast as the women talked, then during a lull in the conversation, the shifter glanced at the clock and realized that they boys were taking longer than expected. Had something gone wrong? Worry began to eat at her insides which she fought to hide instantly from the other. After all, she had agreed to keep Fey safe and stress free and that was what she intended to do. Eventually, the sun began to dip beneath the horizon and the sound of a car driving up could be heard outside. Moving to the door, she saw Dario get out of the car though no passenger remained. Frowning, she opened the door to go meet him, kissing him softly on the cheek before whispering in his ear. Are you ok? What happened? Letting her concern show only briefly, she kept the situation contained from the bride. Hopefully, he would get the hint and save the answers to those questions for when they were alone. It appeared that Kat was coming along on foot and would be back shortly so the pair said their goodbyes and got into the vehicle. It was then that she turned to him, waiting for the rep,y that she expected.

Pizza was a food that he had always enjoyed from back in the times where he lived in Italy even if he had not been back there for some time, it had been a lot different back then given that it was longer ago than he wished to admit so even though the food had evolved over time the concept was still the same and even not wanting to admit to it, it made him feel at home because there was never going to be a time where he wanted back into that country. Not when his future wife was not going to want to be there with him, she was too tied to being in the small town that encased the tribe that she watched over and he would never ask her to leave so therefore that meant that in exchange he was not going to be leaving either. As she took a seat into his lap it was impossible not to think of the vibrant girl in front of him and he resisted the urge to just lay back and pull her with him, laying with her was something that reminded him of where he really belonged. He had been the type to always feel like a loner and that he did not belong anywhere at all even when he was as assasin and one of their greatest weapons, he knew that it was not his calling, he was not meant to be on the wrong side of good and evil as much as he tried to convince himself he was. He needed to make sure that his mind was clear and that it was on the fact that the vampire group that he had spent a long time avoiding was in the immediate area and he needed to make sure that his future wife and her tribe was protected even if he did not agree with the ways of the rest of the tribe that seemed to keen to try to get rid of him. In fact Kat had even tried at one point and failed. He knew that he needed to keep an eye on the other guy and not let a moment slip by that he was not on high alert but at the same time he knew that the other guy was not going to risk his own life in making a move that was going to end up putting him in danger, they needed to stay on the same side for this at least for the time being, they could go back to hating one another the moment that it was over. She was so rational when she seemed to understand perfectly why she could not be the one that he was chasing through the woods when the time came, he needed to actually have strong feelings of dislike for the person that he was going to be pursuing and it was impossible when he turned into a bumbling mess whenever she was around. I am glad that you are so reasonable. He uttered gently close to her ear from where they were seated together. He bit back the many commented that tended to flee to the tip of his tongue when the other man was mentioned and his hatred or rather strong dislike was something that he did not mind showing since there was no sort of approval for the way that he had treated Bri and for the way that he was probably treating Feylnx who was nothing but a young girl in his mind. I am sure he really does not care, he probably just sees her as a material possession. He told her bitterly. Why she would stay with him even when she was given the choice to leave is completely beyond me. He finished. As they were eating and she stated that she was just worried about him returning in the same condition of when he had left he found that he was smiling softly since it was still a new and foreign concept for him to have someone that was waiting for him when he finished a job and someone that cared so much about him. I have experience with almost every one of the vampires that is here, I know more about them than I know about myself, it is not me that you need to worry about. I promise to return in the same condition. He knew that it was a promise that he could uphold because there was no time for things to go wrong. He needed to be careful and Kat needed to be careful as well. It did not take long before they both had their fill of pizza and they were on their way to bed in order to be able to have the energy that was needed to deal with the issue tomorrow even though he knew that it was unlikely that he was going to be able to sleep. After ridding his shirt and pants he was left in just his boxers by the time he made it to the washroom and then under the covers with her, as she moved closer to him and rested her head on his chest there was a small sigh that was released when she spoke of wedding plans and the excitement for the day that was bright on the horizon of the future was something that he smiled about. While he had been sure that there was going to be no way that he was going to be able to sleep there was something comforting about the girl that was laying beside and the soft breathing of her sleeping beside him that worked nothing short of a miracle and he really did need the sleep. Tensions were high the next day when they awoke and there were barely a word that was spoken between them when they ate together and then dressed for the day before setting off towards the house of the other shifter. He was finding that he was regretting this already and that he had no interest in working with the other man but he needed to make sure that they got their plans in place and took care of this group before they managed to scale a large attack on the tribe. He did not pay too much attention at all when they arrived at the house to the other girl that was there since his mind was all business and he just wanted to get this all over with so thast he could spend some time with his soon to be wife. I love you too. He whispered to Bri before placing a light kiss on her cheek and heading towards the door. After leaving with the other man he found that it was better for the two of them to just remain silent unless there was a question that needed answering when they arrived at the base where their chase was going to start. Adrenaline of a hunter soon then took over and he was finding that it was a lot easier to pretend to hunt Kat that he originally even though and the test run went off without a hitch. It did take longer than they expected so by the time that they returned back to the house he was completely exhausted and he was met by Bri where he parked and he wrapped his arms around her in a hug. I am fine. Kat is as well. He uttered. He was glad to be back in the car with just her though as they drove away from the house. How was she? There seemed like there was something wrong earlier when we first arrived. He asked about Kat's wife.
ooc- I completely forget what was supposed to happen with them in their plot you need to debrief me again! I tried to remember by reading Kat/Fey's but they were ahead so haha I am lost <3

Worry seeped out of her bones as he assured her of his safety and that of his companions in the act. She continued to wonder what had taken them so long, but was pleased with the fact that her love was back; a solid and comforting presence that she could reach out to and touch so that she might know the strength in his muscles and be eased further, by the knowledge of his power. It was so hard for her to sit on the sidelines of this expedition though she would do so at his request because she cared too much about him to threaten the success of the plan simply to satisfy her own need to be active in protecting the people who she was sworn to protect. She sat comfortably in the passenger seat, allowing him to drive them back to the house in which they shared as he inquired about the other man's wife. Frowning, Bricaza turned thoughts back to the other female, wondering again why she had been so fidgety while Bri had been there. I'm not sure. Something is surely bothering her. She could hardly sit still and now that I think about it, she kept looking at the clock on the mantle and the door as if waiting for you both to return. If something happened between her and Kat, she did not broach the subject with me so perhaps she is confident they can work it out on their own? Still, if I were in her situation, with hardly anyone but my husband to talk to, I think I would reach out to anyone who would be there and tell them of my problems. Brow furrowed deeper as she contemplated the possibilities. Kat was not the sort of man who would ever raise a hand against a woman, but she knew well his indifference and how that could cause harm to a lady, especially one that cared about him. It was obvious that Feylnx did indeed have powerful feelings for the other shifter and though she had tried to hide it, Bri had noticed the dismay that had crossed the other's face when she realized that it was only Dario who had pulled up in the vehicle as he had returned. Shrug lifted her shoulders as she dismissed the pair from her brain for now, too worn out on the subject since she had been thinking over it for the vast majority of the day as she had spent her time in the house. Fey is not me though and Kat's quiet way of keeping to himself might have rubbed off on her. I can tell she loves him though so whatever is going on she won't be able to keep inside for long. It only took a while longer for them to reach their house and she was the first out of the car, eager to get inside and spend some alone time with her lover. Upon reaching the porch, she saw that there was a box sitting in front of the door addressed to herself and her heart began to race in anticipation, picking it up on her arms, she stood off to the side, waiting for him to unlock the door with a brilliant, secretive smile on her features before stepping inside first, heading immediately to the kitchen where she set the box on the bar and retrieved a bone handled knife from her possessions in their room. Using the knife, she cut the tape in half in order to open the box and absolutely beamed as she realized that they had finally been delivered. The first thing she pulled out was the wedding planner that she had ordered and ran her hand over the smooth paper covering, smiling as her fingers traced the embossed words on the front. Setting it gently aside, she reached further into the box, pulling out magazine after magazine out. Once the box was completely cleared, she turned to Dario with a sheepish, shy smile, knowing she should probably explain herself. I took the liberty of ordering a wedding planning support package since I want to do everything myself. I wasn't sure where to start so I thought this might help me. Hoping that he did not think her a silly woman who was going over board because she was enraptured at the idea of planning a wedding, the lass stood where she was for a moment before packing everything back into the box and carried it into the living area for later inspection. Returning to the kitchen, she got meat out of the freezer to defrost in the sink while planning the dinner she was to cook before doing so. At the end, she made two plates with roasted potatoes, steamed green beans, and roasted rosemary and lemon chicken and directed her man to the meager looking dining table and chairs that had been moved here from her old place, thinking that the small furnishing fit the small house she had once occupied, but not this monstrosity. After the wedding, we really need to finish decorating the house. All of my old things don't seem to fit in well here. I feel as if they are too small to fit properly in the space. Vocals erupted as she sat down at the table, glancing across the way at her man as she watched him eat the food she had prepared with pleasure while consuming what was on her plate in a dainty way. Dishes were rinsed off and placed in the sink along with the pots she had used to be washed at another time as she moved to the living room, picking out a movie for them to watch while she went through the box that had arrived.

It was hard for him to be away from the woman that he loved in the first place, he wanted to be with her and therefore able to protect her just in case there was something out there that he did not expect, he knew that she could protect herself a lot better than many of the female gender but then again that did not dispell the common primal desire to protect his woman no matter the cost. When he was not with her he was not able to do that job and therefore he was quick to want to return back from the moment that he left with Kat but they needed to deal with this issue. It was true that he did feel better than both Fey and Bri were together but even then he did not like the thought of the other vampires out there knowing what they were capable of. When Kat had informed him that he was going to walk back from where their plan had taken place he was more than happy to rid himself of that pain and drive back to the house where Bri was waiting for him. Knocking at the door it took no time at all for her to answer and he immediately pulled her into his arms pressing a light kiss to her forehead before addressing the other female in the room. Kat informed me that he would be making his way back on his own, I am sure he will be along any moment now. He uttered before the two of them made their leave in the direction of the waiting car that was sitting in the driveway. He really did have to say that he admired the girl that Kat took as a wife, she seemed to have a level head on her shoulders and was able to put up with him so that was saying a lot on her behalf. He turned to Bri when she commented that Fey had been fidgety. I am sure that she is just nervous, she is smart enough to pick up that something was going on beyond what Kat was willing to tell her. He voiced gently. I think she is a very loyal wife and maybe she is not comfortable in talking to anyone at all about what is going on? It was just a thought of his own but she seemed shy and therefore not willing to let anyone really in on her life and what was going on with her. He was sure that with time though if Bri persisted that she would be able to connect with the other girl in perhaps a way that no one else did, they seemed to be two of the only people that were able to understand the shifter, he knew that he certainly did not understand Kat at the best of times. When they arrived at the house though all he wanted to think about was the woman that he was with and spending time with her, brow was raised when he noted that there was a package there waiting for her at the door step and she moved towards it like it was something that she was expecting. He was very curious and really could not hide that as he stepped up behind her after locking the car and opening the front door. She looked like she was up to something and he really could not help but laugh softly as he opened the door for her and she made her way to the kitchen. He sat on a stool in the kitchen watching her and could not help the soft subtle smile in seeing her as happy as she was right then. She explained that she had ordered a wedding planning kit since she wanted to do everything herself and he grinned stepping up her to to wrap arms around her waist from behind and rest his chin lightly on her shoulder with a deep sigh. I can't wait to marry you. He uttered softly in a deep whisper. He felt like he really needed a shower after the day that he had just had and it was a refreshing feeling to step into the hot water that ran over tightly bound muscles easing the soreness that really was sure not to settle in. When he stepped back out a towel was wrapped around his waist before he pulled a pair of pants on and a t-shirt. With a small sigh he walked back out in the direction of the kitchen. He followed her to the kitchen table with a small smile where their meal was placed. Thank you for cooking, it smells delicious. He told her and nodded when she told him that they needed to refurnish the house after they were married. Anytime you would like we can go and pick some things out. He informed her with a smile and now that things were over with the threat of the vampires they could go back to the way that they had been before that. As soon as they finished he grabbed the plates in order to take them to the sink and followed her into the living room where she picked out a movie but his real interest was in the box that she was looking through and arm was wrapped around her shoulders holding her close without being too much of a hassle with what she was doing.

The shower that he went to take before dinner actually sounded like a good idea, but the girl was already to involved in the food that she was busy preparing and had to forgo such a luxury until a later time. A broad smile met his praise as he walked back into the kitchen, smelling like soap and fresh laundry, just as she finished with the preparations and began dishing out the food onto two plates. Thank you my love. Gracious vocals replied, emerald pair shining up at him as she handed over his plate before moving to her own spot at the table to take a seat and eat. His retort to her observation obtained an acknowledging nod from her, feeling as if no response was needed although she was pleased that he agreed and this time wanted to hand a hand in the decorating of their home. She could remember when they had gone shopping for the bed that now resided within the room which they shared; she had nearly had to twist his arm in order to get him to include his input. He had been most uncharacteristically stubborn in insisting that she be the one to chose what they slept in though she had wanted the decision to be made as a couple, not by her. What happened if he didn't like what she did? Those choices would have to wait until after the wedding, however. There was still too much to decide and so much to pick out. Heck, she did not even have a wedding dress which was one of the easiest purchases to make, or at least, that’s what she thought. After finishing dinner, they migrated to the living room where the TV came alive with the movie that she had chosen, Pocahontas, knowing that Dario probably would not pay much attention to it anyway. Sitting down upon the pallet that they had laid out upon first moving in that she had yet to pick up, she put the box between her legs and was not surprised when the comforting weight and heat of her mate's body pressed to her back and his arm was draped over her neck. Is someone being nosey? Lyrics teased him, playful depths turning to look over her shoulder at him, a cheeky grin showing bleached teeth as they peaked out from behind dark pink lips. Knowing that he had the right to look at anything that involved their wedding, she pulled out the magazines and set them aside before finally pulling out the planner and setting it in her lap, tossing the box out of the way. Opening it up, she saw the first page had lines for them to write down their names, the wedding date and the venue. Immediately, worry clamped upon her stomach and she bit the inside of her lip nervously. We don't know when were getting married or even where yet. Oh Dario, am I in over my head? Glancing at him once again, she waited for the response then reluctantly turned back to the book and continued to flip from one page to the next, feeling as if the preparations that she needed to make would never end until she got to the last few pages that were reserved photos of them at the rehersal dinner and wedding day. Finally, she closed the planner and leaned back against him, feeling increasingly apprehensive about the project as she reached forward and picked up the first magazine on the pile which the front said contained examples of save the date invitations as well as name cards to be placed on tables at the reception. Looking at the prices, her eyes grew wide as saucers, causing her to look back at him with surprise and anxiety. How are we going to budget this? I know we probably aren't going to have many guests, but I don't see how anyone pays for all of this.

He knew that he was not going to be sore in the morning from the little adventure that Kat had led him on but then again it was better to be safe rather than sorry when he took the shower and the hot water came through the pipes to cascade mostly over broad, rigid shoulders causing a small sigh of relaxation to pass through his lips. The clothes that he had been wearing were hauled with him and some other laundry to the designated room in the large house and were put through the first section of the wash before he made his way back to the kitchen in a timely fashion not wanting to be away from the company of his future-wife for too long. He had never been as protective as he felt for her, she was able to take care of herself and she was strong but he could not help it and it was just in his nature to be the protector. Thanking her for the meal that she cooked for the two of them a genuine smile slipped across lips when he took the time for the small gesture of pulling her chair out for her in order to then sit across from her at the dining room table. The peace between the two of them was nice and he found that conversation was light and then silence fell between them when they were both eating, he felt like he was starved from the venture earlier since he had not gotten the chance to eat before they had gone out into the woods. He was pleased that she was a very good cook and therefore he did not have to suffer through his own cooking, a lot of the time that he had spent in Italy there had been a cook where he was living and therefore he did not need to worry about mundane things like that so really besides a few trade secrets that he had picked up over the years and the few traditional Italian dishes he really was helpless in the kitchen, besides washing dishes. When she mentioned that they should redecorate the house he really did have to agree since the place did look a little empty with lacking the furniture they needed to fill it, it was something that they could go and do at the earliest convenience for her. When they finished with dinner he insisted that he be the one that take the dishes to the sink and quickly scrub them and put them away before then walking with her to join her in the TV room. He took a seat beside her when he arrived in the room and there was no attention paid to the movie that was playing on the TV. He chuckled when she asked is he was being nosey and he nodded leaning forward to kiss her cheek. I hope that is alright with you, you are far more interesting than anything that can be played on TV. He uttered in a deep tone. She then sounded worried when she mentioned that they did not even know where and when they were getting married and she asked if she was in over her head and he shook his own head. Bri don't panick we have not even had time to talk about it. He uttered softly. Would you like a summer or winter wedding? These are all things that are up to you, I want this to reflect your dream wedding. I only want to have input when you are having trouble deciding. He told her. She started to look at the magazines and then asked how they were going to budget it, and he reached over to wrap his arms around her middle and shift her until she was sitting in his lap supporting her with his arms. You do not need to worry about any of that. He murmured. My previous job may have not been good for me in a lot of aspects but finances are one thing that you never have to worry about, no arguments. He uttered. Fingers traced her cheek lightly when he turned his attention to the magazine as well and glancing at some of the decorations there. Do you have any idea of what color scheme you might want? He asked. He knew that this was a lot for one person to be thinking about though so he did have something that he might want to purpose to her. Why don't you ask Feylnx to help you with all the plans, I am sure that she would love to get out of the house and it might be nice for the two of you. He suggested though he was not too sure what she would think of the idea. He really did not like to see her as stressed as she was feeling right now and wished that she would realize that there was no pressure regarding any of it. Whatever she wanted to happen would do so and all she needed to do was speak the words to him, he was prepared to help in any aspect that she needed but at the same time he did not want to intefere.

Twisting her head still more, the lass lifted her hand from her leg and cupped his cheek before planting a gentle kiss upon his lips, a brilliant smile beaming back at him in response to her playful teasing. Of course I do not mind. I would have you close to me every second of the day if I could. Lyrics confessed, palm stroking his cheek once more before she turned back around and put her focus again to the box which she was unloading. Upon reading through the planner, everything started to overwhelm her and this unaccustomed feeling of loathing and distress plagued her insides, causing her to reach out to him for the comfort that only he could provide. Dario's level-headed outlook and calm words along with the steady touch of his hands worked wonders as easing her worries back down to a manageable level till she took a deep breath and focused on the questions that he was asking her. I think a winter wedding would be pretty here with all the snow that we receive. Closing her eyes, she saw the day and place in her mind’s eye. It was mid-winter and a light snow had just begun to fall as they started the ceremony within a building that was made of glass and treated oak. Even while inside and warm, you could see the chill of the forest surrounding them and watch as the flakes fell from the heavens to create layer upon layer on the already frozen ground. It was a beautiful sight: a perfect day for their wedding. Lifting her lids to allow vision again, excitement quickly filled her and she struggled to get her thoughts into order so that she could relay her day dream to her fiancé. What if we found a place made of glass? One with windows covering every wall so that we could see the white of the outside and yet still be warm and dry? It'd be such a pretty day if it were snowing too. That would be the perfect setting. It'd be open and like we were outside, but not. Don't you think that would be lovely? Continuing to day dream about it, the lass decided she would have to do some research to find the right spot and her attention was drawn to other matters. He had pulled her into his lap and told her to never worry about the finances which were actually a foreign concept for her. Sure, she knew that he was well off, but how much of a fortune had he accumulated over the last hundreds of years? Honestly, Bri didn't want to know. In her perspective, whatever money he had obtained was his to use and she would be as stingy as possible where ever she could when it came to having to use it. Dismay filled her when she realized how often they would need to dip into his reserves in the next coming year or so. First, they had to pay for the wedding and all things that went along with that and then they had the furnishing of the house to worry about which, with as much square feet as it had, would not be a cheap task. Perhaps they could get away with only buying things to fill the rooms that they used like the kitchen, living room, dining room, bedroom, and master bath. There were a few other guest rooms scattered about the house which they could honestly turn into whatever they wanted that they could probably wait on filling with furniture. Actually, they hadn't discussed what they wanted to do with the vacant rooms and perhaps that was for the better. There was plenty of time to worry about that later. Turning thoughts back to the wedding, the vixen looked at him shyly because she had already come up with a few different color schemes that she liked and only one really stuck out to her that she loved. Actually, I have, but I'm not sure if you would like it or not. I like the idea of purple and silver. I know purple is kind of a girl color, but none of the guys would have to wear it. Their vests could all be silver. Besides, I only thought of the silver because I thought you would look handsome in that color. Waiting for a confirmation on the color scheme from him, she thought about asking the other maiden for her help in planning the wedding and decided that, as always, her mate had come up with a brilliant idea. Such a task would serve to keep the other female busy and would take some of the pressure of Bricaza. She liked the other woman's company and to use her wedding as an excuse to see her more would be perfect. The shifter only hoped that the young lady would not be envious of the wedding which she planned. Knowing Kat, their union had been a simple affair with only their parents and the priest as guests and had been hurriedly thrown together, judging by how quickly they had gone from betrothed to married. And of course, when dealing with Feylnx there was always Kat to think of. Would the man approve his wife helping plan the wedding of his fellow Chosen to a vampire? He resists change, yes dear child, but even the sly mountain lion recognizes when he must adjust to the land which has moved without his permission. Take pride girl and don't dictate your actions by that one. Though he chooses to ignore what is before him, he is not yet blind. Yes, Bri would ask Feylnx and let the lass decide what she wished to do from there though she hoped that Fey's decision would not cause a rift between the couple. I'll ask Feylnx tomorrow if she would like to help me. Why do you always have the best ideas? Bubbly words teased, the vixen turning around once more to kiss her man only to turn back around and look at the TV as her favorite part of the movie was flashing across the screen. Sighing in girl satisfaction, she leaned back against her lover as Pocahontas kissed John Smith, knowing all the consequences that such an action would cause. This was the pivotal scene of the movie though not everyone realized that all of what happened in coming hour was due to this simple kiss.

He was sure that the only part of the movie that he was going to get to see was the opening credits that played just long enough to know that it was Pocahantas that was playing. He too no notice though, she was the one that was on his mind and he could not tear his eyes away from her. He was curious as to what was going on with the box and the plans that went along with it. She uttered that she would have him close to her every second of the day if she could and he smiled, Dario had at one point been known to be quite stoic and you would never see him crack a smile but it really was amazing what kind of an effect she had on him. There was no way that he could ever think of going back to the only lifestyle that he ever knew now that he had a taste of what it was like to be with Bri. She made him feel a lot more alive than he ever had and he was excited for their future together and not having to ever be without her. Her voice was soft and melodic and enough to make his stomach feel like it was tying in knots from the emotions that crossed through him, things that he was sure that he was not even able capable of feeling. He had been so void of emotions and she brought all this out in him, bringing the side of him that was vulnerable and soft to the surface. Skin tingled beneath the touch of her hand as it ran along his cheek and he could not help but capture her palm in one of his own and bring the back of it to his lips for a brief moment before allowing her to go back to what she had been doing previously which was battling with the box of wedding planning stuff. If someone had ever told him that he was going to be getting married he would have uttered that they were completely crazy but nothing felt as right as being able to call her his wife eventually and he was a little hasty in wanting it to happen right away, he did not want to wait for all the preparations to be made and just wanted to marry her right now but that was just the mans instincts and he knew that he needed to wait put all the right steps in place because she needed this to be her special day and he was not going to get in the way of that. He knew that he needed to take her mind off all the stress that she was going through right now because there was no need for her to be all stressed out over something that was supposed to be exciting and so much fun. She uttered that a winter wedding would be nice with all the snow that they recieved and he did have to agree with that. He nodded lightly because it really was something that he was able to picture. I think all the snow would make for lovely pictures. He agreed with a small smile. He did not know if this meant that she was going to want it to be outside, while it would not bother him it might not be all that comfortable for the other guests. So when she then talked to him and relayed what she was thinking about the building made of glass he was thoroughly intruiged. I think I might know the exact place that would be perfect for that. He uttered, he just needed to make a few calls at a later date and see if they could go up and view it. It sounds absolutely perfect. Whatever money that he had made over the years was at her disposal because there was nothing that could make him happier than being with her and seeing her happy, and being able to provide everything that she needed and then some. So he was pleased when she did not protest when he told her that because he would have to be even more firm that in her being with him that what was his was hers as well. Even with the most lavish wedding and a crazy amount of furniture it would not even be something that either of them needed to worry about, he was used to large purchases, afterall he had bought the house in the first place and what good was it to have money that you never spent? She then stated that she had thought of color schemes and suggested purple and silver and he nodded lightly. It sounds good to me, and thank you, I have never been told that silver is my color. He uttered with a chuckle. I think those two colors would look good with the snow as well. He uttered, really he was going to agree with anything that she said though because as long as she was happy then he would feel the same way. His expression was slightly smug when she told him that he always had the best ideas and that she would ask Feylnx for her help tomorrow. I just figured that she probably could use some time away from her husband, and you two seem to get along quite well, she probably needs a friend. He uttered with a shrug being caught off guard by the kiss but quickly returning it before her attention turned to the tv screen and the movie that was playing there.

A soft smile waited on her features while the damsel listened to her partner's responses to her ideas; agreeing with all of them and only adding his own thoughts to a few. His insight into what his finance had imagined was so acute that the damsel once more praised the Gods to which she worshipped for gracing her with the chance to share her life with someone who knew more about herself than even she did. When she pictured what the chapel would look like, she never would have imagined that such a place existed. It was a setting fit for fairy tales and though she could hold out hope for actually finding the exact replica of her fantasy, in the back of her mind she had been convinced that all her searching would be a fruitless endeavor. Dario changed everything, however, as he always did, by suddenly bringing what was once make believe into the shining light of reality. Straightening her body, she steadied her weight with her hands and pushed against the ground beneath her so that her lips could reach his height in order to deliver a grateful kiss. Of course you do. I don't know why I didn't expect it before. Are you sure you were born of this Earth and not of a scribe with a quill who enlisted the help of a witch to bring you to life? Vocals teased, a playful glint within the woman's eyes as she turned back to the pamphlets in front of her. She was thrust back into her memories of a time when her sweet had proclaimed himself a monster; a title that certainly did not befit him then and which she shies away from with prudent indignation now. Here she was, believing him nothing worse than a prince charming come to sweep her off her feet though like Pocahontas' story, theirs was not that of a typical romance and she not the average princess dwindling away at the time she had while waiting for what was just around the river bend. Even though the Disney story was not founded in historical truth, she did admire it for the plot line as it related to her life and for the uplifting musical scores which forced her to sing along. Fortunately, unlike poor Pocahontas, Bricaza got to keep her prince and now that they were finally actually discussing the plans for the wedding that would bind them together indefinitely, the moment felt somehow more real, which only served to make it all the more savory. I will let you worry about the venue then. Just toss me in the car before you go to look at it so that I can see it too. A soft chuckle erupted as attention shifted from their discussion, to the film, and back again. Finally, she was starting to feel a little more relaxed about the whole situation. Perhaps everything would turn out after all, especially if she enlisted the help of Feylnx. Surely with the pair of them, jobless, it would not be hard to get all the particulars set up and picked out. Though of course, the planning would mean countless trips into town and Bri was not so certain that Kat would be too keen on his wife spreading so much time away from him, especially if it was with her. Hopefully, the other lass could convince her man that the time was well spent. Laughter fully erupted forth at her male's claim and she turned towards him, dropping the pen and booklet that she was holding in order to wiggle her way onto his lap; placing a well deserved kiss on his lips as arms encircled his neck to hold her to his side. Every color is your color my dear fiancé and don't pretend to be ignorant of that fact. Deciding to give the planning a rest for the night, the shifter remained cuddled up to her groom-to-be until the ending of the movie when she removed the disc and turned off the television before entering their bedroom where she again was glued to his side as they slept. The next morning, she woke, showered, and dressed before he even roused. By the time he entered the kitchen, she had finished cooking breakfast for two and stood at the bar eating while exchanging unimportant chatter with him. Leaving him to the dishes and not at all feeling sorry for doing so, she planted a swift kiss on his cheek and announced that she was off to see Feylnx and would return later that day. The drive to Kat's residence was not too far and she pulled in the drive just in time to see the man step out onto the porch; the head of the axe that was in his hand resting upon the wood as he watched her for a short time. As soon as she reached the gate, however, he seemed to understand that she was not there to see him and continued on his way to the side of the house where he leapt easily over the railing and disappeared into the wood surrounding his house. She stepped up to the door and politely knocked, waiting upon Feylnx's response before requesting to enter the home that the newly-wed pair shared. Once inside, she saw that they too had just finished breakfast for there were dishes drying beside the sink and it brought a small smile to her face because it pointed out how similar the two couples were. I'm glad that I showed up late enough to not interrupt your morning, but I was wondering if I might convince you to help me with something. Moving over to the couch, the lady tried to hide her excitement as she explained her engagement to Dario and their plans to marry as soon as possible. Unfortunately, it's too much for just me to do and although I know Dario will help as much as I need him to, it's just the woman in me that wants to surprise him on our wedding day. So, I was wondering if you would be kind enough to help me out with all the decision making. We still need basically everything: flowers, dresses and tuxes, cake, invitations, reception gifts, decoration, reception venue, and everything else that you can think of though we do have a place in mind for the actual ceremony. Also, I know we aren't really that close and that we have not known one another for very long, but I have very few friends and you know of the tribe: understand where I came from and that is something very precious to me. I was wondering, since you will hopefully planning all of it with me, if you would be my maid of honor as well.

He really felt like he was lucky to have met the girl, she changed his life in so many different ways and he really did not know what he would do without her presense. He was long from being able to feel good about himself since there was too much that had gone on in the last two hundred and some odd years but he was getting closer to making a change, to fight for the just and what he knew was right. Though when you have seen the entire world and see it from a different perspective sometimes the right and wrong that is so blaringly obvious to other people is a little more lilted. He liked to think that he knew what the girl liked, he spent a lot of time just thinking about her and thinking of what would make her happy and how to avoid the things that would not so he was pleased when she seemed to like his ideas that he tacked on as suggestions. After all he was a little more intune to details than most guys that were just too concerned about one thing, He was excited to get the location booked and the fact that he was going to be allowed to take care of that one little detail that seemed small in the comparison to the rest but at least he could be included, the rest was really up to her and if she chose to want his input he would give it but really as long as it was her walking down the aisle towards him he really did not care the details about who was there and what it looked like. The thoughts of her in a wedding dress though were enough to make him smile gently. She lifted herself to place a kiss on his lips causing the same flash of churning of his insides, the same feeling a teenage girl might attest to as butterflies though he was not going to say that outloud knowing that it would sound a little less than manly in his outlook. The fact was the same though, that while a lot of relationships tapered out to remain a routine the two of them still had the same spark as the first day that they met, if anything it was getting even more powerful now that they were living together and spending as many waking moments together as possible. Which for him were quite a few since he was no longer employed. Really though what kind of a job could a three hundred and seven year old vampire do with no real life experience? He had been to college but that was way back in the day and if he were to present that graduation people might run for the hills. He spent so much time as an assasin that it was all that he knew. Eyes were rolled when she asked if he was born of this Earth. Yes I am sure.. He stated softly. While he appeared nothing like how he had even twenty years ago there had been a time where he was nothing but a monster and this was the side that she really did not see. Sure there were glimmers when he felt like he needed to protect her and came between harms way and her but that was nothing like he used to be, so when he had told her that he was a monster he really did mean it. He had been and he knew that it was lurking right below the surface ready to pounce out when he was least expecting it but for the time being it appeared that things were under control, he had so long to practice self control after all. He might appear to be a prince in this story but that was all part of the appeal of his species or at least that he had been what he had been told, he had nothing but good intentions for the woman though and he really did want to be wed to her and share her with no one. Alright I can certainly do that, I promise you will not regret leaving me in charge of that. He told her defiantely. As she wiggled into his lap he leaned back against the couch and wrapped his arms around her to hold her close to his chest, the warmth that radiated off her was soothing. Any other relationships he had been in felt like he was on edge in comparison to right now where he felt like he could relax completely. You are too lenient Bri, there are many colors that do not look good on me. He uttered slightly sheepishly. It was hard not to nearly fall asleep with her in his lap and knowing that there was no harm that could come to her when his arms were wrapped around her, so he did not even notice that the movie was finished until she turned the TV off and he got back to his feet for long enough to walk into the bathroom and brush his teeth and change into a pair of pajama pants. Curling up beside her his arm was looped gently over her waist. Uttering good night and that he loved her it did not take long for the rest to take over and by the time that he stirred the morning light was already beaming into the windows.
FEYLNX:
She had just finished putting the last of the dishes away when she caught a glimpse of her husband making his way out the door and into the wooded area that he seemed to feel even more at home in. A small smile settled on her lips since things seemed to have calmed down between the two of them. There was a knock on the door and she headed in that direction to open it and reveal Bri. A bright smile settled on her lips as she stepped back to allow her into the house. Good morning. She stated brightly. She nodded when the other girl asked if she might be able to convince her to help her. You would never be interrupting. And I doubt I will need convincing. She uttered lightly. Taking a seat green eyes brightened at the mention of her fiance. Congratulations. She told her politely. She explained that she needed help with planning the wedding and expression brightened significantly, since her own attempt to work did not fly well with Kat she would love to be able to help Bri. That sounds like a lot of fun. A small chuckle escaped her lips when she mentioned that she did not have many friends in the tribe. Trust me, I of all people know how that feels. She uttered with a nod. When she asked her to be her maid of honor her grin widened. I would be honored. She really did not know what Kat was going to think of the entire arrangement but she was not going to turn down the closest person she had to a friend.

The damsel had not notice that her lover had fallen asleep behind her until the movie had run its coarse and she turned around still within his hold to give him a kiss. After all, the man never snored like she had heard some women of the tribe complain of their husbands doing, but she supposed that was because he was a vampire and, technically, half dead and though he was completely engrossed within his own mind, his muscles seemed to remember their function for the arms that were still wrapped around her waist had been solid and not moved an inch since she had settle upon the drake's lap. Laughing gently to herself, Bri kissed his cheek, knowing this small gesture would be enough to wake him, before uncoiling to a stand and moving to take out the disc and turn off the electronics, proud of herself for having learned to use the system that he had rather quickly. Once they were settled in their bed, both seemed to fall asleep instantly and the lass woke with the sun the next morning, getting ready for the day with an anxious buzz beneath her skin. Although the other woman was nothing nut sweet, Bricaza could not help but be a little apprehensive about the task she had assigned herself for the day. After all, it was not every day that you asked the new wife of the man you were supposed to marry to involved themselves entirely in your wedding and the factor of her playing the part of the maid of honor sent the poor bride-to-be into a tailspin. If Feylnx said no, Bri planned on asking Ayrn, although she had only met the other female once and had not seen either her nor her husband since the Fuji cruise, but she was the only other female that the vixen felt comfortable asking. As certain as she was that Ayrn would do a wonderful job in the position, she hoped desperately that Fey would accept. Ayrn had her own wedding to fret over and trying to do the preparations of two weddings would be too overwhelming. Besides that, Bri really wanted someone from her tribe there, standing beside her when she wed and Feylnx waste perfect candidate since, along with being one of the few females that the shifter considered a friend, she did not seem to be opposed to the Guardian's engagement to Dario. Breakfast went into her mouth and down her throat without the woman really tasting what she was eating and before she knew it she was putting dishes in the sink and heading out the door to Kat's house. Feylnx met her at the door since Kat had thankfully disappeared out into the woods and Bri asked both favors of the younger woman upon her couch, sitting with a high backed posture and her hand folded in her lap, clasping them so that she would not nervously tug on her shirt tail. When the other damsel politely agreed to help her, Bri was relieved, but it was the broad smile and bright features of the other woman when she said she would be honored to be the maid of honor that called the shifter to action. Holding back tears of joy and relief, she quickly moved to embrace the other girl tightly, surprised at her own unpredictable emotions though they were dismissed quickly. Thank you so much. You have no idea how much this means to me. Holding on for a heartbeat longer before releasing her maid of honor, the damsel was reluctant to let up the contact for fear of what might show on her face. Small tear droplets could be felt gathered at her ducts so she moved quickly to wipe them away before grinning over at Feylnx and updating her new helper on the plans that had been made so far. At this point, all I have done is choose the color scheme of purple and silver and Dario has found a place where we can hopefully have the ceremony. He's going to let me know when we can go look at it and you're welcome to tag along if you'd like. We still need to get invitations picked out and sent, my dress and bridesmaid dress shopping done, dinner and cake chosen, and flowers and decorations for the ceremony and reception picked. I thought we could focus on decorations last, once we know where we're going to be. Looking towards the door as Kat re-entered, Bri offered a pleasant smile in greeting before turning back to face Fey. Well, just let me know whenever you're free and want to start. You have my phone number right? I should probably get back to Dario and see what the plan for the rest of the day is. I'll talk with you later and thank you so much, once again. Hugging the other woman once last time, she excused herself from their house, knowing that the pair probably had a lot to discuss. She got back into the Audi that Dario had bought her and drove it back to their house. Upon finding him, she decided to return the subject to the coven forming just outside the tribal lands and the plan on dealing with them. Are you and Kat going tonight? Quiet vocals asked almost casually, the woman worried for her beloved as well as disappointed that she could not be more involved in the scheme since it was her duty to protect her people.

Even though he was asleep and he was feeling rather peaceful where he was situated behind his soon to be wife it did not mean that he was any less alert, while he was immune to the common sounds on the TV and the noise of other things in the house like the buzz of the fridge if there was anything out of place at all he would be the first one to his feet. He could drone out a lot of the world but he was never the type to be able to relax fully so that probably meant that he was never in the deep sleep that caused someone to snore, a trait that he was not too sure if came with being a vampire or not. When she turned to kiss him lightly he opened an eye lid groggily but with a small smile crossing his face. Who would be more lucky than to open their eyes to the girl sitting in his lap right now, there was no one that could even come close to comparing to her. It was the moments like these that reminded him how lucky he was even if he was one of the beasts that considered to be damned, that was alright with him as long as he were to have Bri. When she stepped in the direction of the DVD player he stood as well stretching his arms above his head before reaching out to take her hand if only for the short walk to where their bedroom lay in the house. Even the smallest of things meant the most to him and while he was not normally the most affectionate she was the exception to every rule that he seemed to have for himself and this was no different. He was not too surprised when he woke the next day and it was later than he had intended and Bri was already gone. He had known that she was planning on going to visit with Kat's wife in the morning in order to talk about the wedding and all he could do was hope that it was going to go alright. While a lot of other wives might be jealous of the fact that Bri got to marry who she wanted and have it be her own choice Fey really did not seem to be the type to hold it against her and she seemed to settle right into life with Kat no matter how unorthadox it seemed. He knew for sure that there must have been more than what met the eye but he was not looking too deep since he really did not want to be around the shifter more than what was called for in the job that they needed to do that afternoon after all it was better for them to come off as hating one another and not having any sort of neutral terms for today when Kat would play the role as prey. He settled into the easy tasks of a few errands as well as making sure that plans were set for the night. He needed it to go off as planned since they were only going to have one chance to get it right. Fey's morning really had not been all that eventful since she had just made breakfast and she was debating what she was going to do for the rest of the day when Bri knocked on her door and it might have been too soon to consider the other a friend but then again she really did not know the protocol on that since she was not known to have too many friends in the first place and the only person that she was even remotely close was the man that just left the house and that was because it was seen to be proper of husband and wife. She nodded excitedly when the questions were asked and there was no way that she would say no to any of it. She was embraced and smile was soft as she returned the gesture and Bri commented that she did not know how much it meant to her. Anytime. She stated softly. She then went through the list and all that she really had picked out was the colour scheme so she knew that it was going to mean a lot of work and that was exactly what she needed to keep herself busy. I would love to come and let me know whenever you need anything and I will be there. She was true to her word. She nodded when Bri told her good bye and after one more brief hug she was on her way back to her fiance. He was standing in the kitchen when she approached him and leaning against the back of the counter when she asked if he was going with Kat tonight and he nodded lightly. I am. He stated. I don't want you to worry though alright? He told her but he knew that it was to no avail.

Thankfully it was not hard at all to find her lover within their house though it was very large and he could be occupied in any number of the rooms. The kitchen where she found him was attached to the living room which was the first room that one entered as they stepped into the house so her emerald depths had landed on him immediately. As she approached with a soft smile, the damsel took her time and let her eyes roam over the masculine figure. Although he was not overly muscular, it was obvious to anyone who saw him that the man kept up well with his health and did not allow himself to wither away as some his age who had seen what he had seen would do, but then again, he had her to live for. Oh how it raised her spirits to think that she, a young, naive little woman was the sole savior for this powerful vampire before her. The elation that she had found at the revelation quickly dissipated though when the damsel thought of what was to occur tonight. Keeping herself distant so that she would not appear to be the emotional wreck that she was right now, the damsel stopped before him and dropped her gaze to the counter top as she brushed her hand across the granite as if cleaning it while asking him for the affirmative to the plan for the night. Nodding in response to his request that she not worry, the damsel refused to speak, not wanting to lie to him because of course she would worry about his safety. After all, these people may have been led her by some other force, but they knew that Dario resided within the area as well and would certainly be pleased when he showed up at their door step, practically gift wrapped. Her figure was rounded with distress as she continued to face away from him, trying to gather enough courage to continue with the conversation. I'll gather a few more of the Chosen and wait at the edge of the forest for you both. Clearing her throat to try and rid her lyrics of the rough gurgle, she paused before speaking once more. Just in case. The shifter spoke so quietly that had the man behind her been human he would not have caught what she had said. Suddenly and without warning, she spun around and leapt across the space between them, pressing her body flush against his as she took his face in her hands and drew from his lips the strength she knew he could not spare at this moment, even for her. Breaking the contact, she contented herself with holding him in her arms, wishing that they did not have to go out and face the danger separately, but stay here in each others presence instead. Around this group, she was deathly afraid of losing him. She had almost lost him to them once, as long ago as it felt, but the threat and the memory were still fresh when she conjured up the moment in her mind. To feel that again..... She wasn't certain if she would survive as long as she had. The man was too important; too much of a cornerstone in her life now to be lost to his brethren. Oh why couldn't they just stay away?

He was nervous about what was going to be happening later on in the day but really what he did not express was the fact that he knew that this was not going to be the end. There was no way that they were going to be able to fight off all of these vampires, the best case scenario would be spooking them and causing them to go back into hiding while the rest of the tribe was able to regroup even though that was not even going to be enough. They needed to realize that and Dario was sure that they were not all that ready to listen to his ideas. There were far too many allies that this coven made and a lot of them were out of fear meaning that people were deperate and if the tribe was labelled as an enemy and they simply did not have the numbers to deal with a large scale attack like that and the vampires would wipe them out like they did not even exist, he had been around long enough to see it happen more than once and the tribe did not want to change and did not want to embrace the fact that the morals that they had once a long time ago were outdated, they needed allies and they needed protection and not to be alienated from the rest of the world. He was not the right spokesperson for that though and they would never listen to him and he truly was sure that because of her being with him they would no longer listen to Bri as well. If only he could make Kat see the light of the situation and make him realize that he really did have the best intentions in mind but that seemed like something that would be nearly impossible as well, so the only real solution that jumped to his mind was to do all that he could in order to protect himself and the woman that he was so deeply in love with because you could not win every battle. He knew that even when they dispelled of the threat that was taking place in the tribe right now that he would not be welcomed so maybe it was a time for him to think of other solutions but he hated the only one that popped to his mind which meant moving away, that was not fair to the girl that grew up here with her people all her life and had the spirit of their descendants from so long ago, she deserved to do exactly what she wished without having to worry about any sort of threat. He wanted the best for her and he would go through anything to make sure that she would get it. In comparison to some of the men that he worked with when he had lived the live of an assasin he was on the smaller side since a lot of them looked like they could feature in the hulk movies but that was what tended to make him an asset, he was fit with lean muscle but he also looked every part of an influential business man when he was dressed in a suit and therefore he was used for the most high profile of cases where he needed to fit into a wealthy group. He had heard the door click closed behind her so he turned to face where she was coming from eyes landing on the girl who seemed to be in good spirits which caused him to smile gently. He could see that she was trying her best not to show that she was worrying which was charming but he was a little more intuitive than she tended to give him credit for and he could see that it was bothering her immensely. He could only hope that everything would go back to normal when the night was over and they were able to return to the same bed that they shared though. He nodded when she told him that she would gather a few more of the chosen and she looked like she was ready to break down. Lightly reaching out to catch her cheek with one of his hands his eyes were directed towards her. It's going to take a lot more than a few vampires to get rid of me Bri. He uttered with a small chuckle and he wrapped his arms tight around her when she spun around to face him, holding onto her like he did not want to ever let go and that was the truth, he would much rather steal her away, run away with her than risk putting her in any sort of danger. But he needed to face this and he needed to succeed with Kat and the team that had been gathered. I love you. He uttered quietly before taking a step back needing to get ready and as soon as he was he paused in the kitchen to embrace her once more. Be careful Bri, please. He knew that he could not discourage her from her plans but he trusted that she would be careful at the very least. Turning all business he slipped on his shoes and met Kat at the point in the forest they agreed upon and the chase was on, every aspect completely and utterly believable. After all they needed that, they needed the vampires to believe them and with the rush through the group that had assembled for Dario's 're-entrance' into the group the rest of them were then right after him. Hoping that Kat did not stumble knowing that there was no way that he could protect the man from more than a dozen vampires the race through the forest continued to the large outcropping of rocks that made up the cave. They would think Kat was trapped, though the winding tunnels were well known and the rest of the team was waiting to trap the vampires there and set fire to the inside that had already been prepared. Although not everything went according to plan the majority of the vampires were caught in the cave and the ones remaining made a run for it for the time being. Slowing the rest of the members of the group then joined them and he was left to lean back against a tree and watch the Chosen congratulate one another simply being glad that it was over for the time being at least. His only thoughts were on getting back to Bri though.
