These posts were done on with the pack on chatzy. One of the crazy plots where a meteor shower strikes Forest Rain
Rouge*The maiden still laid curled into a ball as if she was asleep, if you were to look closer you’d realize that she wasn’t sleeping only relaxing in the shade. Harks twitched as the birds once again chattered and sung Don’t they ever take a break? Chasms opened giving the birds a glare, the dove normally loved to listen to their songs it always relaxed her but today she wish they would stop with the songs and chatter. Cant lay here all day. Alabaster dove stood stretching each limb relaxing the muscles golden pools spotted the bleached colored dove Snow, Pillars carried the fea towards Snow. Hello Snow! Rouge called out dipping her dome in greetings before head-butting the fatales shoulder playfully, a mitt prodded the dove while she circled plume wagging. What ya doing? And how are you? She huffed with laughter even though there was nothing to laugh about, the fatale stopped to snap at a butterfly as it drifted just out of range of her open maw.
Tykel--The slightest of vibrations rattled through the cave; something had struck the ground within the Forest Rain territory. By the Seeker’s best judgement, just a few miles away. That something was just enough to get him a bit worried. The vibrations came again, just enough to make the fur on his stomach wave across the dirt floor. The little delicate grey form on the ground moved slightly as the pup that made it up shifted. Tykel nuzzled her lightly. All was well in her newly-found world. She knew not yet how the instinct that flowed through her blood through generations of proud wolves could bring her to the position of alert at a moment’s notice. For now, she had no reason to. Another contraction shook his mate’s body. He decided it best not to leave her to investigate the cause of the earth’s unsettling. He wondered, though, if the pack had felt it from above. The den was fairly deep in the ground, allowing far away movements to travel fairly quickly; would the upper crust of the earth be just as sensitive? Tara? he whispered as a dark shape appeared in the den%u2019s doorway. Did you see what happened? The earth moved a bit. What’s going on? His eyes spoke of a sparked fear for his mate and newborn children. But why? It was, after all, just a moving bit of dust. He chastised himself. It was probably nothing. Nothing at all
Snow Angel*The first nursling had arrived almost as quickly as the contractions started. Adah seemed to cover the pain of labor well-no cringing or condemning her mate’s name in vein. Maybe in her mind she was planning the baron’s death, but it wasn’t clear just by looking at her facial expression. She was too mulish to show any sign of weakness to any of us; her own family. Tykel instantly hovered over Adah and their new daughter like he was a humming bird attempting to get some rich nectar. I could feel a cloud of worry come over me, the baron was known for being clumpy. He never could go for a hunt without coming back with some kind of gash or wound. How did he ever become the seeker of the pack? Perhaps sending him out on something he wasn’t good at, kept the minions occupied. Now becoming a burden amongst the immediate family, I silently pushed up from my crouched position to join the ret outside the lair. Words from another entered my concentration. Rouge? Sure enough my eldest sibling neared my presents. A bow of authority exchanged between us. How could it be that we shared a mother and yet we were so different? Hello Snow! Her voice was so chirper, so delightful! Was mine the same as hers? Good Afternoon Rouge. Lyrics flowed smoothly much like hers. The maiden extended her paw close to my cage, her talons nicked against me blissfully. What ya doing? And how are you? That was a good question. How was I doing? All I seem to do is moving about them, never speaking unless spoken too. If I were to tell her how I felt more questions of ‘why’ would follow thought the chipper voice. Lie. I’m well, thank you. I was just visiting with Adah, Tykel and their new daughter. She is absolutely gorgeous. Have you seen her yet?”Well at least not everything was a lie. The little runt was all that I had said, a lot like her mother. Another corpse moved around me, slipping by with a quick bow -No words- as it slipped breathe the surface. Lungs contracted alerting me of who the shift moving object was. Tara. Here? But where has she been? Before I could budge an inch to catch the commander to ask of her where about, something streaked through the sky. The raging star from above had wilted behind ebony atmosphere. Sprits of fire colored the sky, vanishing as quickly as they had come. One, two three flew by and where gone. Four, five, six (pick up sticks) entered the same path as the one before it, only now, they where larger. Where these things to fear?

Dris()Lips pull back as a smile of pleasure twitches cheek tissues as the roan lord caressed the tender skin of her dome, lids remaining shut over pools although the subtle wish to gaze up at him flickered through her mind once. Crown leaned into his warm touch and it was not long before cords began to vibrate rapidly, a pleased sound rumbling through the maiden. All too soon the motions ended and although wetted tip pressed against her own as the duke pulled back, shades slid slowly upwards to expose ashen pair to the sunlight, a pouting look shooting towards her companion. Singular, barely audible whimper that only the drake could hear was allowed to emit as dome raised, snout pressing persuasively into his thick mane. Niravadhi.... Seductive tones spoke into the nearest peak, syllables teasing the duke as soft chuckles followed, neck pulling skullary away so liquids could gaze into cobalt depths. Attention was regrettably forced off the wench's companion and instead towards the other being that was called Snow, a polite expression flickering across features as the pure white bodice exited the dark shadows of the cave and came into the clearing. Calculating orbs watched her movements, much like they had the moment the essa had stepped upon the lands. Little heed was paid to the alphaess although; she could be considered a being of interest to the demon. Many things could be learned about any beast through silent studying, this much had been learned by the maiden throughout the short span of time which her life had stretched through. Oculars were allowed to linger upon the packs seemingly strong leader, noting that everything was not always as it looked like on the surface. Steel pair directed their depths towards the other damsel of the pack standing nearest to the monarch, recognizing instantly the creature that had been for the most part silent and distant from the rest of the group. Weight shifted slightly towards the baron as gaze remained steady upon the other fatal, knowing that if the other turned and saw the newcomer staring like she was that she would most likely think Dris to be a very strange creature. Grin fluttered upon maw, corners only slightly turned up at the thought. Good. None around needed to think her a sane animal except for Nira and he knew the fact well that the mind with which she thought was only slightly twisted. Side nuzzled closer to the warmth there offered by the male lupine, muzzle rubbing beneath his chin before attention returns to the center, new movement having played upon natural curiosity. This time, an unknown fea had entered, the interest she drew from the queen of Forest Rain making it apparent that her absence had been perhaps longer than what would normally be considered a short jaunt. Lanterns continued to watch the raven tinted frame that was much like hers as it moved away from the other pair. Slight frown was sent after her, dome tilting slightly, but before the vixen even got the chance to begin thinking about which she was bright lights lit up the sky, drawling liquids upwards. Sockets widen at the sight of blazing rock falling towards the earth, limbs immediately lifting coal diaphragm and carrying it out from under the protection of the tree's overhanging canopy. Nira. Vocals breathed, almost breathless as she waited for his heat to once more become a companion to her side. Chin dropped once to glance at the rest of the gathered before looking back up, hardly believing the sight before her. Never had a tale of such an occurrence found its way into the contessa's lobes along her travels nor had her mother told of the possibility of burning rubble crashing into the earth's crust. This was stranger even than her willing entrance into the Forest Rain domain. What could it mean? Did the gods choose now to send a sign to those who trodded the world below?

Niravadhi::The appearance of the land’s monarch had caused me to pull away from the raven figure by my side, the tender caresses I had been administering slowing before dying away completely. Rouge had come out of the shadows, and it was nice to see her around once again. Her quiet presence had always been an important aspect of the pack, and I was glad that it was she who would look after any younglings of the pack. There was no need for me to try to delude myself into thinking that I would be capable of looking after a young creature. Nares flicker at a familiar scent, causing a slight twinge in my heart. Tara. Even as her scent dies away, I find myself in a memory with her and Pur. How I missed him. What had happened to him, I could not tell, for I too had been away. No matter how my curiosity burned, I knew that his loss had been painful to the pack, and thus I had never asked. A moment of grief for my former friend is spent, before the warm structure beside me shifts, pulling me out of my reverie. Yet before I shutters could open, the briefest of unfamiliar sensations washes over me, causing my fur to rise on end. Instinctively, orbs flash open, in the same moment as the soft call from a certain duchess was registered by my harks. Dome tilts to the side for a moment, watching the collection of lupines standing motionlessly beneath the darkening sky. Puzzled, I follow their gaze, voids alighting on coloured particles making their way across the heavens. Immediately, limbs snap to attention, my structure making its way towards Dris before the command to walk had even been given. Flank presses strongly against the raven hide of my lady, my presence as calm and steadfast as it always was. Dome is also lifted to watch the heavens, while I began to analyse the phenomenon. I had heard of such a thing. Something one of the elders at home had spoken about. But he had spoken of coloured light far in the north, in the lands of ice. This couldn’t possibly be the same thing. And yet, the entire situation seemed so familiar somehow. Even as I watch the coloured arcs, something begins to click into place. Facts stowed deep in the recesses of my mind being called forth. Rainbows were colourful. Rainbows only happened when the light shone through the rain. The phenomenon in the far north must have been something similar. Ice was water, wasn’t it? So perhaps that was where those coloured lights came from. As I watch, I hardly breathe, my entire being so focused on finding an answer to the riddle that lay before me….well, above me. Voids narrow as I try to bring the coloured spheres into focus, yet their movement is too fast, their light too bright for me to discern much. Suddenly a desperate longing to hunt those particles down grabs me, causing me to stop breathing altogether as I battled furiously with myself to remain point. An aura of restraint and longing surrounds me, passing directly on to Dris who could read me most easily, and who was situated beside me at that precise moment in time. Daggers unsheathe themselves, as entire being tenses, claws digging deep into the turf in an effort to keep my anchored into place.

Tara-Audits where being pointed towards her son-in-law when suddenly dirt splattered onto her onyx covering. With her head still stuck inside of the den the dirt buried its self in her fur and the ground moved slightly. The hair rose on shoulders and audits are pinned back. Eyes wide as the ground rumbled a bit before it settled, the fur on her back began to flatten and she shook her skull to rid of the dirt. Audits pricked towards son-in-laws vocals. Not answering only looking over and gave a slight nod, to shocked to speak. Blinking a few times as her daughter brushed past her without a word. The maiden pushed herself against the wall.
Rouge*Nope - haven't seen her yet, but we should give Adah space with her youngsters. She stopped watching the sky just as Snow was doing the same. Were they stars? One had come then more started to follow, chasms dance with interest and awe. It seem the others had spotted the falling.. Eh rocks? Stars? The moon? She snorted at the thought of the moon falling besides it was more than one that fell crashing into the earths ground and the place they called home. Dome turned away from the sky for a moment to look around camp did everyone see that as trouble? Was she the only one curious? Hmm. Well, she would know unless she could read peoples' minds, chasms spotted the brute called Tykel looked liked he was worried, perhaps over the falling star. With a shrug she redirected her attention to her sibling Snow. Did ya see those? Rouge rumbled with curiosity and excitement. What do ya think those were? Pillars carried the bleached colored maiden around Snow before she advanced across the clearing than back. Ha, she might seem quiet at times but her curiosity and excitement could get the best of the lass. The dove came to a halt next to Snow sending small dust clouds into the air, mitts kneaded the dirt as her excitement overflowed. Can we go inspect them? Golden pools twinkled with interest. She wasn't exactly sure if they were still falling for she had questions that she wanted answered.
Snow Angel*The eerie silence sent shudders down my corpse as these flaming phenomenons fell from the heavens. The earth's crust danced far and long with the touch of them. As one struck the unseen a larger one would take a path though the obscured atmosphere. I caught myself in the moment of awe, the moment of weakness that I had fallen victim of. Lips that which had hung agape closed on the whisk of oxygen that collapsed my lungs. My cranium turned towards the words from the others. "Did you see that?" "What was that?" "What do you think those were?" "Can we go inspect them?" I wanted to answer. But I was trapped within the thoughts and questions of my own. Oculars fell upon the facial expressions of the others. Some seek comfort from their neighbors as others looked towards me for answers. My spine straightened and pillars unfolded to hold my posture correctly. Before I dared to allow my lyrics to unfold I cleared the dry throat that had formed. "I am not sure what they are…I am not sure if we should stray close to them. They could be toxic. I am not going to risk anything-" Vocals halted as the once dimmed lighting twisted into a burning ocherous tone. Heels pivoted in the sod to toss my frame around so that I could inspect the vault. Within it came the largest figure to fall. Its massive shape disappeared behind the mountain tops. Then it was gone. All became shadowed once more. Before I was allowed to relax my muscles the earth crumpled beneath the weight. The vibrations where followed by the boisterous echo of the collusion. Gusts of wind grasped the woodlands and brought them to their knees for a split second. Lids coated my precious vision as the winds blew past the land to finish its damage behind us. My curtains pulled back in shock as I peered forward at the forestry that looked unscarred by the brushing winds. Smoke loomed in the distance. "Maybe - well, maybe we should move? Do you want to inspect it?" tongue spoke to that entire were around.
Ranger|He stood alert as the earth's ground shook below him. Something wasn't right, but he wasn't sure what. A sharp bark was released from his jaws as another fiery substance broke through the earth’s atmosphere. Seers showed great curiosity but also had the mix of fire as the thing hurtled and crashed against the surface shaking it yet again. "What is that?" He muttered under his breath. He shook any thought that clouded his gray matter away and focused on finding his way around. Padders hesitantly moved forward through the underbrush as some confidence surged through his veins. His molten wrappings moved through the forest underbrush as he waved around the trees closer to where the mysterious flying rocks had landed. Smoke began rising its way to the heavens as he came closer and closer. He jumped slightly when the smell of other canines flooded his nasal passages. Who are these lupine and have I trespassed? He searched through it all and watched one leave a cave only to spot more. A white feminine structure caught his attention before the others did. His organ had sped up as fear rolled off of him in waves. Deep breathes were released from his cage as he calmed himself. He was still hidden from them and knew he needed to make his appearance. Limbs ignoring his body’s commands as he makes himself seen. Seers widen as he looked around he knew all eyes would be on him the moment his was spotted but ignored it and spoke up for himself. A burst off confidence not shown through shaky words. "Hello, I am Ranger. I was wandering if you had seen the strange flaming boulders hurtle at the earth's surface." The words were out and he was to stand there to be accepted or shunned. It was a moment of truth but he never knew. Only time would tell as he awaited his doom.
Amadi`The crisp night breeze ruffled my coat as I walked, making my way with relaxed measure towards the centerfold of the lands. My jowls parted widely as a yawn forced them apart, and I blinked slowly. I wasn't tired, but the darkness that dipped its velvet touch across the sky brought the allusion of weariness. Duo pair trounced in a two-beat, my massive prints left behind in my wake. Since I'd joined this pack, I hadn't worried about hiding my tracks, so long as I was within the border of the lands. A light cast across my face, and my golden eyes flickered upwards as a hurtling mass of fire came crashing down through the sky. My eyes lit up and a smile broadened its way over my face, my stride quickening into a lope. As soon as the clearing was in view, I slowed to a walk, looking around for someone familiar. Curled together under a tree were a lass and a duke, and I did a double-take as I noticed some of the girl's features. How odd, she looked just like... I shook my head and told myself not to be so foolish; he would never have children. I resumed my search around the campsite, and my gaze alighted two white females at the entrance to a den. Snow Angel and... Well, I guess I hadn't got the other damsel's name. I shrugged to myself and ambled over to the pair, lowering my haunches to the ground. I smiled and nodded to the alpha, murmuring softly. "Hello Snow Angel." Front feet shifted beneath me as I lifted my face to the sky, watching the burning rocks hurtle against the backdrop. "Mmmm. It's been a good five-hundred years since I've seen a meteor shower," I say aloud, revealing in the memories of the past one. "Well, four-hundred and ninety-two, actually." I hadn't spoken to her since she was four-years-old, but Xerecia had been conceived on that night. Clearly, I wasn't still with her mother, but I had been until the day she died. As she'd aged, I'd remained the same, looking just as young as I had since I was three or four. She'd been so sure that I would leave her as she grew older, and her opinion, uglier. But I'd only seen her grow all the more beautiful. I was about to say something, but my throat caught and I snapped my jaws clenched again, lapsing into silence. I didn't think about her much anymore, but the flashbacks that this night was giving me were torture. Sometimes I wished I'd let her become perennial, but I had wanted her to experience all of life, rather than be stuck in time. A cool breeze brought me back to my current position, and I looked between the matriarch's face and the meteors, content in the moment's silence.
Tykel--Orbs met the Sorceress's gaze as another impact shook dust from the ceiling. Tykel glanced outside where flashes of light made the night sky sparkle, then back at t he nursing babes. Silently, Adah nodded and he slipped outside. The sight in the night sky inspired the kind of awe that forced his jaw almost off its hinge. He knew he was gaping, but he couldn't help it. It was as if the stars were being peeled and hurled from the heavens. He looked around momentarily. Yes, the other Forest Rain members were awestruck as well, and it appeared that the ever-curious Rouge was pestering Snow for an investigation party. Quietly, he slipped into the mob, the falling stars reflecting off of the white flecks on his pelt. The sky was falling and here they stood. The end of time? Or simply another Chicken Little story? Would they find anything out about it? Or stay here - watching the sky rain down in the distance? But for now, Tykel was too excited to move. The dying stars held him in their fiery grasp.

Dris()For a moment, a feeling of vertigo overcoming the essa at the phenomena she was experiencing. Blazing earth falling from the heavens. Not exactly something one would see every day now was it? Nothing else existed in the world besides herself and she was alone in the middle of Hell's storm. Then, a sudden warmth broke through her little illusion and the Evil Angel was no longer alone. Niravadhi was here, beside her and his pack was there, staring up at the sky just as she was. Chin dropped and gaze drifted towards the roan male, confusion written across voids as if expecting an answer to come from him although she knew better than to believe he could explain such an occurrence. After a moment of allowing smoky depths to watch the duke in hopes of a reply, the vixen gave up and chose instead to look at the others, curious if any of them had witness such an occasion before. Pair landed first upon the two ivory hued damsels who resembled each other slightly, noting that neither seemed to know what exactly was happening. Good. At least she was not the only one. Visionaries swept towards the den, taking in the reactions of the other assembled nearby. Hark pricked, curiosity getting the better of the contessa even in the time of possible crisis as this was, but she could not help but wonder if the laboring beast whom she had exchanged word with earlier was still birthing. No noise besides the whimpering of dazed and confused pups who had no eyes to see with could be heard and so the dame decided the other mistress was indeed not going to produce more hellions. Then, instinct screams at the maiden and her dome whips around to look at the baron at her side once more. His sides barely moved, a dead giveaway that whatever breaths he took was short and shallow, hardly causing any sound at all. Brow furrowed in a worried frown and cage leaned more weight against her companion's, hoping that the added support would do something to calm the on edge nerves that this storm seemed to bring out. Alas, her attempt was not enough for the other lupine's frame was hard like stone, muscles not daring to move20for fear of something. What was it that Nira was so afraid of? She could feel the tension in his entire being and it was unlike anything she had ever sensed from the varg before. Well, they had not been together for very long, but as they had each agreed, both knew the other almost as if they had lived in the same world for years. Muzzle runs forcefully through salt and pepper mixed nape, trying to soothe the brute and whatever it was that had him on edge.

Niravadhi::Slowly, I manage to gain a hold of the longing to chase the coloured spots in the sky. Suddenly realising that I had no air left within my lungs, while my body demanded oxygen, I drew in a deep breath of air, feeling some of the tension subside when I realised the worry of the lass beside me, and felt her added weight. Taking another calming breath, I turned to the raven lady, snout moving forwards to brush through the wisps of fur at her nape, indicating that I was well. Once more in control of my being, I turn to watch the other lupines in the vicinity, nares flickering at the scent of a stranger. Yet before I could voice his presence to anyone, he made is entrance. Glancing at him, whilst tasting the air for an indication of his intentions, I judged him to be peaceful, flashing him a slight smile. Harks swivel atop crown, locking on Rouge’s excited tones, my own being wanting desperately to join her, and dash off to find the falling stars that were not really stars. Yet I remain firmly in place, turning instead to watch the leader of the pack. Perhaps she would allow us to take a look. Yet her first words are more in the negative. Brow crinkles, for I doubted that the objects were toxic, yet it was the alpha’s position to make sure that no harm came to the back. Soft sigh is emitted, as I turned my gaze back to the heavens, following the paths of the dying objects. The collisions of object with earth sent faint tremors through the land, my mittens tingling slightly. Then suddenly, a much larger tremor shakes the land, a sudden gust of wind howling about my harks. Pillars brace themselves, façade turning into the fierce wind, while orbs are narrowed to slits. Nares probe the air for an indication of what had just occurred. The scents of burning and earth flood my senses, causing me to stop all running thought processes. Burning did not equate to water. Not in the slightest. Thus, the objects must have been burning. A happy smile is suddenly painted upon my mask, as I work through the first part of the mystery. The objects had been burning as they fell through the sky. Why was that? I wondered, mulling things over for a moment, staring into the distance. They must have collided with particles in the air, I decided, looking upwards. There was a word for that. Intellect is scourged for knowledge of the word, until finally, it is found. Friction. All tension leaves my body, my being too wrapped up in sorting through the puzzle to want to run off in chase of the objects that had fallen. The tones of a drake I had not met reaches my lobes, orbs scanning the clearing for the speaker. The lupine was one unlike any I had seen before, yet Snow was comfortable with his presence, and thus, I was too. Meteor shower, was what he had called the phenomenon. Interesting, the use of shower. My first thoughts of rain hadn’t been that far off after all. Yet what was a meteor. It had to be something that floated around in space. Perhaps something like a comet? With ice and rock. Or maybe just rock? Thought pattern is broken at the ranee’s words, excitement kindling within me once again. So we were going to take a look at these burning things then. Yes, Snow Angel. I would like to inspect the remnants of these…..meteors I say quietly, my tongue rolling over the foreign word.
