Brilliant rays shrank from the Earth, leaving behind sprinklings of pastel across the sky, colors transforming the natural state of clouds as they reflected upon the smokey surfaces. Below, a beast moved through the darkening wood, padders keeping the even beat which had served him all his existance. Moons ago, the male had thought himself finally attached to an area, destined to roam within boundries for the remainder of breathing span. Such a chance had dwindled away quickly, however, leaving the bloke once more without connection and without care. It was back to old habits; reverting to days of boredom and simply surviving. Attention adverted to the falling star, watching for only seconds as it's glow faded, drenching the world in reoccuring shadows. He was glad for the days end, bringing about the termination of his travels in consequence. Such constant employment was rather tiring as it wore on a creature throughout one's entire life. Focus then turned to seeking out cover for the night. The air did not hold the stench which always warned of coming rainfall, yet laying exposed to the elements, and any other who happened across his path, was not something the brute was likely to do. There were no landmarks extending upwards from the floor level, but this did not matter. Simple cover of vegetation would suffice for one night's leisure, erosion pits of rock were not required. Bodice was quickly lost within the wood, oaks becoming his quick companions, the lengthy plains now forgotten aquaintances. Dense growth brought pace to a calm walk, azure depths watchful of the surroundings for a promising site. Racket off to his right, distracted Cyraz from his task, limbs haulting all movement while snout turned in the origin's direction, lobes eret atop skull. Seconds later, prey burst forth through the bush, muscles reacting out instinct as carcass darts after, saliva wetting mouth from the glands at the back of his throat. Nike lent him her wings, allowing the varg to catch up with his prospective meal, jaws parting as he came near. Teeth snap close around the hare's hind leg, missing the intended target area of hindquarters, but accomplishing the big picture. Haunches tucked beneath him as he jerked the animal from it's feet, hold tight as strides slowed to a stop. With the creature still writhling within his grasp, neck lowered muzzle towards the earth, front padder placing itself strategically on the plump stomach. Once the prey's legs haulted their frantic movement, pulse easing a fraction, the predator made his move, releasing the limb in exchange for the throat, crimson liquid instantly seeping from the vein into his carven, leaving an salty iron taste upon tape.

Feminine-like movement slipped through and between the crease of every bush, trying to find a decent meal before her long journey. The creature`s tail waved slightly when she heard something shake bushes up ahead, and she crouched, slipping forward and letting out a wolfish noise when she noticed that another wolf had gotten ahold of the hare. She growled in irritation and stepped out, thin, lean body being exposed to the moon`s rays, the blackness in her fur glistening. She barked slightly. "Who are you?" she barked.

Ivories tear at the fur lining of the carcass, peeling away as much of the skin as possible in order to avoid ingesting any of the annoying brown, white and black strands of his meal's hide. The effort was futile, as he should have expected, for a few managed to spoil the meat, clinging to the exposed flesh as he tore muscle from bone with strong jowls. After chewing and swallowing the first chunk, the bloke could feel the hair clinging to his tongue and in trying to get it from his mouth, ribbon flicked out in a reoccuring pattern, scraping against upper incesors. This also came to no anvil as instead of ridding himself of the scratching feeling, it transfered to the back of his throat where there would be no hope of dislodging the fur. Grumbling to himself, muzzle returned to the food, burring itself deep enough to where a fresher choice of meat could be made. Figure froze as the sound of another approaching from the rear reached lobes, harks swiveling backwards as tissues tensed, ready to fend off an attack. A sound native to his own species announced the breed of the new found companion and crown lifted from the still warm kill, plasma sprinkled along the length of the blokes upper jaw with the lower one completely covered in it. Neck vertebre gave to one another as gaze swept the landscape for the stranger, liquids latching upon a brush as the lush, forest leaves covering the inner wood structure shook. Proud stance was adopted at the other's growl, the urge to raise his upper lip and expose enamels causing a shiver to run down his spine as he resisted. Soon, a sooty female bared herself in front of him, demanding who he was as if she were the queen of the lands and he barely a humble simpleton. Smirking at her bravery, lips twitched to form a slight smile of amusement. I might inquire the same, mistress, but perhaps with much more civility than your words offered me. Containing his laughter, the knight shifted his stance, displaying a more relaxed posture although refusing to open a pathway for her to his kill. The dog who is my father entitled me with the name Cyraz. It is what all beasts use in referance to myself.

baely`s optics shrank into narrowed slits, and her ears twitched. "Cyraz... Cyraz short of your true name? Name`s Baely." she woofed gently, sitting up proudly. She smirked wolfishly, dropping her head to the side to eye the hare with curious optics. "Care to explain the matter of you having murdered my prey?" she inquired softly, licking her canines hungrily.

Some sort of triumph was felt as the fatal narrowed her eyes in response to his brazen words. Although they were not ment to cause offense or insult, the bloke had spoken them unhindered, hoping to perhaps sober her up. It would not do to allow the lass to stumble over him with rude words and an unchecked stride. None, not even the fiery Valkyrie, had been allowed to do so. Gender did not matter to him; nor did age or up-bringing. Respect would be demanded from all as he displayed it openly in return. However the lyrics were ment, it was entertaining that he could create a rise out of the fea. Peaks perked towards her as the casually spoke tunes emit, irritation jerking at one end of kissers at having to repeat himself. No, essa. Cyraz is indeed the truest name I possess. Electric blue depths roamed up and down her frame, taking in the stance she now adopted at announcing her title. Brow arched in questioning as her gaze jumped past him to rest upon the hare, a hungry expression casting over surfaces. Resisting the urge to growl, the male kept his focus upon the vixen, forcing himself to remain rooted to the spot he had choosen, deciding it best to defend his dinner for the night at such a place. Claiming an animal before it is in your jaws? That is a little foolish, Baely. Especially when one is not alone in a territory. Weight shifted to haunches, testing the readiness of linear muscles along hind limbs in case they would need to be used. He doubted she would be idiotic enough to go for the half-eaten kill as he outweighed her by at least fifty pounds and stood a few inches taller, however, one could never be sure of anything these days.

Baely hummed softly, letting her tongue fall out of her mouth in a wolfish grin. She was starting to like this guy. She let out a laughing bark and crouched down playfully, tail wagging happily as she moved forward, swiping at him playfully. "Finish eating then come play. I`m bored." she barked slyly, jumping from side-to-side. She was still only a year and a half, and she wanted to live her life to the fullest. And she didn`t want to go home. she had been arranged with the Alpha of the pack, and she highly disliked him. she wanted to be free.

Skull tilted in a curious way as the maiden dropped into a playful crouch, gaze following her movements as position returned to normal, body at ease as it appeared the only threat she would pose towards him would be one to take him back a few years to his puphood. Cage leaned away, out of the area of her reach when she attempted to swat him. He frowned slightly, trying to disguise the look from notice. The sudden change in attitude was a bit surprising, although the temper displayed now was much more readily accepted than that of the previous moments spent in her presence. Moving slowly back towards his prey at her suggestion, the bloke circled around till chest was faced in her direction, limbs folding till underside rested against the debris and dirt upon the forest floor, ignoring the twig that irritated his side. Jaws parted, dome bending slowly towards his kill while eyes remained locked upon the fatal, untrusting as of yet. Eventually however, the lord was able to eat almost all that remained of his kill with her standing nearby. Rising after finishing, tape flicked out to cover maw, cleaning the majority of the blood from the small strands that littered his features. Striding towards her some, he paused a few feet away, standing off to the side as he hesitated before jerking crown in the direction of the hare still laying upon the ground. I did not take all of it. There is some meat left from the hindquarters if you want it.

Baely watched with curious pool as he ate his meal with caution, as if afraid she would lunge and steal it away from him. she ran after her tail for a few minutes while ate, then paused and one again dropped her head to the side, licking her muzzle. "I'm okay... Cyraz." she gave him a wolfish smile, and barked playfully, crouching and lettign her tail wave happily. "Eat. I wanna play with no distractions." she mused, clawing at the ground and frowning to herself, grabbing a worm and chewing it with a wrinkled nose. Her ears twitched, and she turned quickly, backing away cslowly as she heard something large approach, and her ears lowered over her skull as her fur rose, and she growled. "Get away from here, Ahkla." she barked angrily, and a large brute stepped from the bushes, eying his target like a prize.

Lobes flickered back and forth as crown turned away from the essa, noticing at the same time as her that there was another coming towards them. Glancing back at her, the knight could not help but blame her for the sudden transition of his quiet evening. Attention refocused upon the area before him as another stranger burst from the brush to enter the male's presance, this beast larger and seemingly older than the fatal at his side. Her growl called orbs back to the ebony figure, Cyraz forced to watch the situation with standoffish curiousity as it began to unfold. He had yet to be noticed by the other lord, but he doubted such would last for very long. Ignoring other blokes was not a typical behavior those of his gender engaged in when around a fea they had a particular interest in and it was all too obvious that this drake was indeed here only for the lass as his eyes had yet to leave her form. Lover quarrels, as he suspected it was between the pair, were something to be observed with amusement from the sidelines, however, whenever one was thrust into the middle of the fight, things turned out for the worst in most cases. Although he hated confrontation and tried to avoid it at all costs, if the damsel at his side requested his assistance, were it to be needed, honor would demand that he submit to her plea. A coward he most certainly was not and would therefore protect any female if she needed him to do so.

Baely`s eyes narrowed in anger, and she backed up a few feet. "Get.. get out of here..." she whimpered, slipping farther back as the alpha stepped forward. "you are to be my mate, Baely. No use running from the truth." he muttered darkly, eyes demanding and frustrated. He growled loudly, and made his way forward, biting into her flank before she could get away and dragging her away. Baely whimpered, clawing at the dirt and growling, looking up at Cyraz pleadingly.

Surprisingly, the intruder had yet to adknowledge Cyraz's existance as he continued to advance upon the fatal. Shifting his weight uncomfortably from one padder to the next, the bloke felt tension of the situation grow thicker and a form a dread started to build within his chest. The lass' refusal and her intended's determination were warning signs; little hints that soon he would be interfereing whether any of those assembled like it or not. Once the other drake's dentals sank into the essa's flesh, the situation escalated to being more than just a lover's quarrel. Launching at the other male, Cy rolled his shoulder forward, hoping to knock the other's hold from the damsel and force his attention towards himself rather than Baely. Causing a distraction was in general an easy task to have, however it was after one made themself the center of attention which brought about the problems. The knight just hoped the vixen would be suddenly feel all heroic because he was saving her and attempt to return the favor. Figure danced away from the pair, creating distance between himself and his self proclaimed advisary for both his own protection and the fea's. Buckling down into a defensive position, gaze jumped once to the young dame, light surfaces intent as they silently told her to take the chance and leave while her harasser was otherwise occupied. Turning back to the other duke, skull raising to a proud height, displaying clearly that he would not back down unless the other did so first. The missus asked you to leave. I think it is best you leave her to her own devices and busy yourself elsewhere.

baely gasped loudly as Cyraz jumped at the brute and knocked him over, making her topple over, but his grip had loosened enough to let her escape with only s few minor gashes, and she backed up, whimpering in fright. Where had that come from, and why was Ahkla so violent? these questions ran through her head over and over as she watched the scene play out before her, and she backed up once more, padded paws crunching into the soft dirt. She let out a sot whimper behind Cyraz, but her bod refused to move to move another foot. She watched, frozen, and nudged Cyraz slightly. "Cy.. Cyraz... Jusdt leave him alone... He`s an alpha..." she barked weakly, slipping towards Ahkla with her tail between her legs. She headed off, head ducked as she looked over her shoulder, keeping her gaze on Cyraz as Ahkla pushed her faster.

The nudge at his flank was a little distracting from the task at hand because it was unexpected, but upon realizing that it was just Baely, the duke was able to relax and multitask quite easily, keeping his attention on both lupines on either side of him. Frown came across features at her silent plea while eyes remained locked on the other brute, dome shaking from side to side in a refusal. Alpha or not he has no right to treat you as such. Besides, his rank within a pack has little meaning to me as a loner. It was true, the usual effects that a king had over his pack did not translate well to other beasts that did not include themselves within the group's circle. Another reason Cyraz was not worried by the stranger's place in the wolven hierarchy was that long ago, the three year old had come to the realization that he was a dominant, one that could not be easily swayed into submitting. Figure was braced and ready for an attack that would surely come, mind already excluding the essa at his side from thoughts when her ebony form came slipping past his, bringing a look of surprise to features while he watched in slight disgust the display of surrender. He was used to females within a pack giving in to the wims of the more dominant males and yet, somthing about the vixen had made him think her young and headstrong enough to resist against this bloke, however, she ended up being the same as them all. It was truely a despressing sight to see such potential fade away by one solitary act. Gaze caught hers as she glanced over her shoulder at him while the other drove her forward. Stepping forward, the lord forced her to keep staring at him, head raising a bit as if daring her to listen to his next words. I expected more from you Baely. Baratone vocals call through the vegetation, a small smirk falling upon muzzle. You should really learn to accept a lad's offer when he is so willing to give you your freedom.

Baely paused, letting his words sink into her mind. The words churned in her head and she stopped in her tracks, looking down at her paws and growling as Ahkla tried to push her, and he hissed. She scowled at him and turned to look at Cyraz, Taking a few steps towards him before the other brute was in her way, and she bared her canines at him. "Get out of my way." she snarled, and shoved past him, moving towards Cyraz cautiously. "I want to be free." she muttered in a hopeful tone, but let that hope die quickly. she looked back at Ahkla, but he had vanished, and she barked weakly. "He's... he's going to come after me.." she muttered, keeping her muzzle high.

Smile spread wide across raven kissers when the bloke saw her stop instantly, pondering his words. It was a thrilling feeling, to have someone consider your advice or accept your challenge. The bloke would recommend it to any beast who wished to learn what life was all about. With amusement and, with what could be considered perhaps some misplaced pride, he watched the following events unfold, finding the essa stronger than he had originally assessed her to be as she brushed right past the other male and came striding bravely back to him. What had conversed between them, was unknown to him, but it really did not matter. Allowing grin to fade into a serious expression, the duke bowed his head when she told him she wanted to be free, a sign of respect that was rarely shown to any creature let alone another lupine whose age was far less than the varg that had given the display. He saw that she glanced behind her, obviously looking for the so proclaimed alpha and he could not help but allow turquoise gaze to follow, finding the brush free of the trash that had previously littered the area. Coward. Typical that such a brute can find the weakness to harm a lass, but lacks the courage to confront one of his own sex. Cyraz thought, sneering at the simple revolting idea of the one she called Ahkla. Contenance was directed towards Baely at her words, lids blinking slowly over surfaces, expression changed completely now that the vixen had taken his mind off the curr dog. Most likely. Your best bet is to clear this place, find another pack that will take you in whose alpha is a fighter. Only then will you really be safe from what lays in wait for you here. Giving her the best advice he could, the knight glanced away, surveying the surroundings to make sure none were attempting to sneak up on them at that moment. For the time being, he had just thrown himself into the middle of a battle and until he delievered the damsel to a territory where she could be safe, it would remain that way therefore he needed to be cautious at all times.
