She watched as he moved closer and at first took an instinctive step back, fear growing inside, yet for some reason he acted like he was not a threat, her senses were the only thing inside that was fighting her for just standing there like an idiot. Still, she wanted to believe she could trust someone again, anyone, even if it was nothing or for the shortest time ever. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, not saing a word as she felt him touch the back of her arm, allowing him to as she glanced down at it herself, letting out a long sigh. Why was it she was so distrustful of those who were the male persuasion? She remembered back in school days when she was one of the girls chasing the guys... But now, she wanted nothing to do with them, let alone much anyone else. She remembered running into that brown haired blue eyed boy she thought seemed cute, only to end up the next morning alone in some hotel bed.... Too bad she forgot almost everything that happened. That wasn't what had really got her though, it was mostly the two that stole her heart and then crushed it, one getting engaged to another woman and another who was now dead, wanting to be with his ex over her, leaving her and dying in her arms. How that gave her nightmares she wished to never experience. In general she was just afraid now, not shy, simply hurt. Perehaps she had turned into a complete people hater... Eyes glanced up at him and she just shook her head, put back into reality. it's fine... It wasn't broken - atleast it hadn't seemed that way. She shrugged, thinking of how to explain the pain... Being honest with one's self was usually easy, but being honest with another was not always something that came naturally. It... stings a little. which of course it did, she left out the part about how it felt in an odd way numb, just looking away and down at the ground now, keeping herself calm as some inner part of her just wanted to run.

Invisible sigh was let out and body relaxed again as after the inital first step backwards, the lady did not move away from him. Eyes left hers then and his other hand joined the first around the arm, gently moving till thumbs were above where bones resided beneath the skin. It was then that G`rzeth hesitated, unsure of his own strength as he was, was it such a good idea to try and feel what damage he had done to her structure if any? Head shook quickly, forcing the thought from his brain. God he needed to have more confidence in himself. Earlier, he had been inebriated by his own foolish phobia and therefore did not know or really care for anything except getting out of that building as fast as was humanly possible. He would not let himself be so careless next time the spell set in on his mind. Dome nodded as she answered him, bleached pools glancing at her from out of the corner of the man's eye to watch while she spoke. Over the years, the immortal had learned that a person's face gave a lot away, especially when they were thinking about certain things. Although, the bloke didnt know what subject the girl had been pondering, but when she finally spoke, she seemed to snap into reality, rousing his curiousity, but perhaps he could ask her about it later. Slowly, pair turned back to her wrist and left thumb probbed the flesh there softly, trying to feel the bone without having to cause too much pain while doing so. Right thumb then moved over the bone it was hovering over, a small frown forming on features as didgets moved. After a long pause of silence, Zeth stopped feeling her bone and straightened his back, gaze meeting hers again with a nod and a small smile. You're right. Its not broken. Hands fell to sides then, releasing her lower arm and fingers slid into front jean's pockets, the grin on his face slowly transforming to an expression of thought. Now Im stumped. What did I do to her that would make her wrist sting..... Focus had once more turned to the concrete while he thought about what else it could have been, but after a moment, something seemed to strike him and blueish tinted gems lifted with a jerky movement of his crown. Does your hand sting too and is it numb at all? I might have cut off the circulation for a moment there. Regreting pitiful look was shot in her direction, the male ashamed further now by his earlier negligence.

She stayed absolutely calm as he seemed to feel for if it was broken or not. It was sore and the more he probed it the more it throbbed, but it was nothing major, nothing that she couldn't handle, physical pain really was minor. She heard him and just nodded, deciding it was better not to find her voice just yet, letting gaze go to him, eyes running over Zeth. This was the most she trusted anyone, let alone a guy ever since Cole had decided to leave her life and his own as well. She wondered why this was, especially after this episode he just had. She had trust issues, for it seemed she always trusted the wrong type of person, as though senses betrayed her, but with him, it was as though she couldn't picture him as anything but helping, or at least trying to. His prediction was most likely right, and eyes just went down to her wrist as he released it. Yeah, that's probably it.. She murmured in the awkward silence. She glanced up at him only to see the pity and regret there. She let out a long breath and then shook her head, trying to let a smile come on her lips. Don't worry about it... Things happen. It was what she said, but she still was indeed shaken up, not because of her wrist, simply as it was happening her heart had been racing and panic had fled all throughout her. She didn't think she had sounded convincing enough so she added to it. I should really be saying thank you in an odd way... He was of course going to question that, but heck, she was talking to him... To someone... That was indeed a first for a while, and he also had not been attempting to hurt her, sure he may have scared the hell out of her, but he never meant to, at least that was what she believed.

The lord watched as the lady made an attempt to smile, which, dispite himself, brought a small grin to his lips as well. Gaze dropped to the ground and dome shook gently at her words, the urge to argue and say that he should not have allowed it to happen bubbled at the back of his throat, but Zeth quickly decided against it. One needed to realize when it was time to let go of things and this was the time he had decided to move on to another subject. Suddenly, femine words made his eyes jerk up from the concrete. Brow lifted in surprise before furrowing with confusion while "thank you" passed her kissers and came out into the open. For a moment, the man just stood quietly, the lines upon his forehead smoothing out and expression changing to one of interest, stance shifting before the expected retort was spoken. Thank me? For what? All Ive done is scare the hell out of you and cause injury. He could tell her nerves were still on end from the recent situtation and didnt blame the woman for being frightened. Heck, the man would have reacted the same way. Now, all G`rzeth was really concerned with was helping Faerie to relax and hopefully get her to trust him again. Talking would help, he knew, but hearing all the car horns and noise that came along with the city was making even him a bit uptight, like a stalled colt that wanted to be out running in the pasture. Perhaps it had no such effect, or maybe even the opposite effect, on the girl because she was used to it, but he wouldnt know that unless he asked. Orbs left her facade to glance around, a dismayed look taking over mask as all that could be seen was the continual buildings, instead of the canopy of tree's like the baron had been hoping. Focus turned back to her, weight shifting on his feet again while he thought of a way to ask what he wanted to. Umm, is there any place to find trees or slightly open land around here? I dont know about you, but a walk away from these streets would be very beneficial. Half smile was shot her way as he awaited the answer, hands still stuffed into pockets while some fog from hot breathing clouded around his face.

Hot to explain what was in her head? That always seemed far to hard, to speak what was on your mind. She stumbled and eventually let it just go, shaking her head and bitting her lip. It's a long story... Forget it. That was her simple reply and nothing else, she would give him no other hints or tell anymore. She thought of it as the fact that -before this last episode- he made her somehow feel like she was no longer Faerie, made her not want to cower in the corner, made her trust someone, even if it was minor... Heck, he talked to her without having to seem to have only done it for his own personal gain or try at something like most guys seemed to do. She let out a long breath and listened to the sounds around, though she eventually tuned them out. She was so used to them by now, it was as though she had grown numb to the thought of caring about it anymore. Eyes fell on him as he spoke, trying to let her mind find a place. Places where it was quiet were rare around the city... She finally seemed to pull an image from memory up though, back to the time before she met Cole. She nodded and pointed to eastward. There is a nice little park that is usually rather quiet just a few blocks down. No more than a five minute walk tops. She wondered if she was pulling it off, pulling the calm and serene look off to fool him of her racing heartbeat and pulse that didn't seem to wish to slow. It was shock, plain and simple, and shock didn't seem to want to just leave her be, instead it continued to almost play in her head over and over again. She was too worked up, memories filling her head, making panic easily rise. Once she calmed down though it truly wouldn't be that bad. Yeah, a walk sounds... Good. She struggled for those words and simply turned, glancing back, unsure if he still wanted to go.

Pools watched the woman's face for a long time after she spoke, brushing off his question so easily even as she knew he would ask it. The lord knew better than to press the subject further, but he wanted to so badly it surprised him. Was this not the exact thing he had been trying to avoid all his life? He cared about what she felt, what she thought and such feelings could be dangerous. When one cared, they were open to harm. That lesson, early life as a boy had taught the man. As soon as G`rzeth recongized this, he jerked his gaze away, choosing to look off to his left. Mind continued its thoughts despite this, but expression was no longer allowed to give away such private things. It was best for both of them if they just talked and tried to avoid developing a relationship, even if it were one of friendship. Too bad he was afraid that such a bond had already started to develop. And, although not everyone may share his opinion, Zeth found it easy to talk to Faerie. She didnt speak much, but that was part of it. It was a complicated thing that not even the lord understood completely. Dome shook briefly and cobalt depths turned back to the lass, nodding and flashing a smile at her answer. That sounds wonderful. Care to lead the way? Vocals asked, a few steps being taken backwards, his arm swinging in front of him to finally end up behind his back in a joking manner, stature bending slightly forwards at the hips. He had a strange sense of humor and after doing it, he felt a bit ridiculous, body straightening quickly and eyes glancing elsewhere.

He didn't want to form some bond? Oddly she didn't want to at first either, but now, she realized she wanted someone who understood and listened, she wanted someont to simply be there. So why did it hurt when he avoided her gaze? She bit her lip and just glanced forward and started walking with a simple nod, taking a few steps just to glance behind her to check he was following. Why was she suddenly feeling hurt and betrayed? What was going on with her? She began towards the area where all seemed quiet and peaceful like all the time. She didn't know what there was to talk about... Besides, she was having a feeling that maybe... Maybe she was getting herself too into this for the first time, maybe she was bound to be hurt sooner or later again, which wasn't on her desire to do list. Coming then? she added over her shoulder to him, sending him a daring and questioning look, though inside emotions were quite different.

Ivory tinted orbs watched her as the lady moved past him and down the sidewalk in what he guessed was the direction that would take them to the park. Hands slid into pockets in a casual way as they usually did. Normally, he would catch himself resorting to his comfort state and correct it, but tonight, the lord didnt much care what his hands did as he walked. Strides were just about to pick up as the lass paused to look behind her at him, gazes meeting while a smile pulled at his lips and he walked towards her, stoping as body became even with hers. Of coarse. Came the light hearted reply, his former brooding mood changing suddenly and without warning. The way he was acting, one would never have guessed that not a few seconds earlier he was questioning the safety of situation and thinking about detaching himself more from the girl. Together they continued in silence, Zeth only searching half-heartedly for something to talk about. Truthfully, the male enjoyed the quiet, although it couldnt much be considered that due to the city's sounds, but as they moved further away from the club, the sounds seemed to dull, which was a bit of a relief. Finally, after about a block, guise turned in her direction and lips parted, offering up a question. Do you live here in the city? He didnt think about the display of knowledge she had displayed about the town until after the utterance had already left his lips and instantly felt foolish, fighting the urge to glance away, slight heat that he hoped she did not see rising on his cheeks despite the cool night air. All well, the question was out there and he could not take it back, even if he wished. The only thing to do was to roll with it and pray she did not think him an idiot.

She noted that he no longer avoided gaze with her and just this little fact made her feel somewhat better, more hopeful than she had been before. Eyes ran over him again before she found herself looking away, no need to stare or anything and look like a fool. Perhaps she was losing her mind, eh? That happened alot lately. Walking on she let the silence pass as being casual, though sometimes it did eat away at her, for she was wondering if he hated silence, if it felt awkward to him. At his question she just nodded her head. "Yeah.. Uh, my dad lives in the city too, but I just recently moved out. My own place and stuff, you know?" It was nice when one had their own place. Heck, she needed to be away from her father who was a rude and mean man, who constantly talked trash about her mother who had not passed too long ago, who constantly told her what a horrible daughter she was, who constantly mocked her love failures and pain. "I've been trying to move though to be honest... This place has too many memories." And they were painful ones too. Eyes came upon their destinationa nd she tilted her chin towards it. She found her favorite spot just under the tree, taking a seat there, and patting the grass next to her, glancing up at him. "This is my favorie spot to sit and think.. She didn't share it with many to be honest.

Interested depths watched her as she answered, finding that she returned his gaze, bringing a small smile to his lips. Perhaps it had just been the previous atmosphere that had made her seem reluctant to meet his pools? Whatever it was, her warm coffee surfaces were no longer staring at the flooring. Dome nodded, acting as if he understood what she ment by moving out of his parents house, although he could not really relate. Sure, he had come here from the mountains where he had lived in his parents house, but it was empty except for him, had been for years. Besides, the lord had been forced to rebuild it after the fire and so it felt more like his house, although he personally felt like a zombie within it and had spent most of his time outdoors when he had been there. The lass spoke of the memories the city held for her, bringing a barely noticiable frown to the bloke's mask, curiousity building at what her past has been like. Was he right back in the club? Did their histories have something in common like tragedy? From her tone when she had spoken the words, he guessed that were true. G`rzeth came to a stop and he watched her move towards the park he had not even noticed, though, now the scent of fresh vegetation was potent on the air. Silently, he prayed he was wrong about her past, wishing that she did not have such saddness in her heart before he moved to follow her, long limbs folding as he sat next to her, far enough back that his spine could rest against the tree. With a sigh, he let his shades closed over bleached pair for a moment, the leg closet to the essa bent with foot upon the ground and knee pointed to the sky while the other was streached out in front of them. A moment later, lids opened and a serene expression turned towards her, one side of lips lifting. I can see why. It's quite peaceful here.

She didn't know his past so how could she dare to compare it. She was just lonely really, though she wasn't sure if she wanted company, if she wanted someone who could make her heart as well as break it like others had. She already had still mending holes and was unsure if they could ever even heal again. A soft breath escaped as she watched him take his seat, a smile on her facade again. This had been the first in a while she ever smiled to be honest. Eyes glanced up at the sky, taking in shapes and such, letting her thoughts run into almost an imagination. What did she miss? The love that surrounded her at a point, the people who showed it to her, the feelings that were ripped from under her everytime. It was why she was the way she was, why she felt so distrusting. Eyes moved over to meet his look that made her simply relax, let her trust wall go down a tad, it usually wasn't too easy to get Faerie to trust anyone at all lately, but now... She had to wonder. She leaned back so she was laying, back against the green blades below, staring up at the sky. I used to cry a lot. This as the place I came too, to escape reality. I would write my own happy ending in my own head, erase my memories of real life when I came here... She was mumbling on and on before she just closed her eyes. Then when I would leave it would all come flooding back, just as painful. Eyes stayed closed now as she looked over at him again. She was curious about him, not able to hid her desire to know. So, have you lived here long? She wished to know more, but there was no way she was just going to burst out asking some personal question.

The bloke watched as the essa leaned back and streached herself out over the grass, looking so relaxed it brought a smile to her companion's lips. It surprised him a bit that the lady was so comfortable around him now that she could do so, but it also thrilled him and silently he couldn't help but wonder why the lass was able to relax as she did. Opposite arm lifted and fell gently to rest upon propped knee, weight shifting slightly towards the laying figure as she spoke, pools staring at the distant brown eyes. Instatantly, the male knew this was not something Faerie would toss out there in regular conversation. She must be feeling a strong need to tell someone, otherwise the words would not have made it past her lips. Sadness filled his mind then, as did pity, though he hated to think of it that way. Suddenly, he felt remorse for having been right in his guess about her past and a foreign urge to pull her into his arms and comfort her came from somewhere deep inside. Whether it be because of the similaries of their past or some kind of reaction from the beast whom had remained dormant for quite some time, the man did not know and no time was alloted for him to find out either for almost as soon as she finished giving him a glimpse into her past, she shot a question in his direction. Dome shook side to side and jaws parted to release his reply. I do not live here, actually. I actually live pretty far from here. I came to the city for a visit. I wanted to see what it was like. Shoulders lifted in a shrug, having told her the real reason why he was there rather than saying he was 'just visiting' as he had originally planned to tell anyone who asked him. His thoughts then returned to what she had said beforehand, knowing he could let it go now, but also knowing he would not do so. Tongue wet his lips while his colbalt based pair stared at the woman's shirt without seeing, obviously lost in thought. After another moment, the drake seemed to come around and again caught her eyes. Pain is never easy to deal with and I'm sorry you've had to suffer through it. Tunes paused then, as if Zeth was unsure of what he was going to say next. I wish I could take the pain away. It's a burden you don't deserve to carry. Orbs searched hers, half expecting her to think him a creep. After all, it was a strange thing to say to someone when you were practically strangers, but it G'rzeth it had felt. . .right.

He didn't live here... Another ouch in her picking whom to tell, because she'd just be left alone again. She sat up almost immediately and just continued to stare at the grass, as if begging to just be hidden for a few moments. She didn't know what to feel; hurt, relief, fear, happiness. depression?... Eyes met his and she just nodded at his words. However she soon looked back down and began pecking at the grass and pulling as well. How can one know who deserves it though? And who in truth does deserve it? No one does... It just... Happens. She let out a sigh, wondering what his past had been like. After all... He knew how she felt. That meant he had suffered too right? Of course everyone suffered, but she meant suffering a loss, trying to recover blindly. What about you...? She asked her question softly and then closed her eyes. She wanted to vent out what happened, but she was curious to find out about him, after all, she hated everything being about her. She was usually selfless, or pretty darn close to it. She hated attention, hated pity. Eyes fell on him, waiting to see if he'd simply skip over the question somehow.

Lips pursed and torso leaned away from her, spine again resting against the tree's rough trunk again as she spoke. I suppose you are right, but is it wrong to wish pain upon someone who has been the cause of your own pain? Bleached pools no longer looks up at her, but now at the stars that could hardly been seen through the smog of the city. Normally, such a sight was cause his anger to ignite, but it was for another reason that his jaw clenched. When he had asked if those who caused pain deserved it, the lord hadn't been directing it exacally at the lady, but was also asking the question to himself, the age old battle that wagged within his mind again coming to the front. Was he wrong in hating the people of his home town? For a moment, the silence streached between them, the pair both thinking, but about seperate things without the other noticing. Gaze returned to the maiden as the drake twisted his head in her direction at the question she asked, his mind haulting in its thoughts, wondering if somehow she saw into what he was comtemplating. Chest heaved in a sigh and abs tightened as the bloke lifted his rump of the earth, hand digging into his back pocket to pull out it wallet. Muscles relaxed as he brought it in front of him, attention turning to the worn leather searching the folds, finally finding, and producing the piece of paper he had been looking for. Hand left wallet fall onto his leg while fingers busied themselves unfolding the obviously old paper. Orbs stared at it for a second, tracing over the memorized pattern of lines before handing it to the vixen. My mother drew this. She had planned on doing the body, but never got the chance to. This was one of the only things I could salvage from our home. There was a forest fire and our house was in the woods. No one got warning to us. I barely escaped and am the only one left. Zeth swallowed hard, his throat suddenly dry as he gave her a short narrative of what had happened. On the paper, his mother had hand drawn a pair of half way folded dragon wings.

She shook her head, for at his question she begged to differ. She was one of those people who thought no one deserved this pain. Why? Why make two people suffer? She glanced away and tried to explain herself. Yeah, it's unfair, and yes, it hurts... But it makes us stronger. You have to look at it as something positive. Yeah, now it did sound riddiculous, to think of suffering as positive, but somehow it made sense in her mind. She listened and let eyes fall on the wallet, examining it, making sure to be careful with it, for it was obvious how much it meant for him. She closed her eyes, not wanting to show the hurt she knew he was reliving in his own mind probably. Still... She wondered about the design. Wings of some sort? She handed it carefully over to him and used it as an excuse to get closer, simply because she wished for the comfort of just that. She didn't want to say how sorry she was, because she didn't know if he wanted pity, she never did, in fact all she ever wanted was comfort... Wings? Was her simple question before she thought about her past. Should she tell him about it? Or was it best not to tell him? Perhaps he didn't want to hear it, perhaps she would feel worse, but no, she thought it would feel better to blurt it out. Clearing her throat she just took a deep breath and started. My mom and me were close for mother and daughter. She died of cancer... So I went to live with my dad and I met the guy who I thought was charming. A few nights showed I was wrong though. He was... Controlling and... Abusive. She remembered the scars she had carried before from him, the hurt... She was away from him now, and he wouldn't bother her again.. Then, foolish me fell in love again. Cole... He was nothing much, but I loved him. The smart ass he was... However, he had an ex, and though she was over him, he was still obsessed with her. He left me, left me to find her... I was upset, I was not as good as her, didn't matter as much, but I ran after him anyways... She remembered the night, the snow sending chills over her as she tried to reach him, tried to see it was true and not a lie, not something someone just dpread rumors about. She had a current lover at the time though, and too bad for Cole, he was tired of him and somehow got a hold of a gun. Cole was murdered. She knew the story was full of sorrow, but she wanted it off her chest as though it would help her with her sorrow and healing.
