It was amazing how just hours ago they were tense and huddled in the girls living room talking about the gang and the fact that he now knew that they were behind the break in and now they were so relaxed within eachothers company. To say that she brought out the best in him would be no exageration since it was completely and utterly true, she managed to de-fuse a sitation that he might have acted on without giving a good amount of thought to. Calming him to the point where the break in almost slipped his mind. That was to be dealt with another day, right now the most dangerous of the gang were just starting to lurk in the dark corners of the street and look for trouble and somehow he did not want to mingle with them. He knew that 90% of them slept during the day since they were out until late so that was the best time to address the situation without having to worry about them seeing that he was alive. If he did find out that it had been nothing more then a random act he would have to think about the way to respond. If he did something to attempt to get even then he would back on their radar so if that was what he found out he would have to discuss it with her. The best idea might be to just leave it and not get involved since he did not want to draw the two of them back into the terrifying cat and mouse game that he spent a lot of his life caught up in. He allowed his mind to blank on the subject as they walked, just focusing on the girl at his side. There was no doubt in his mind that he would do anything to protect her though. She had not chosen this part of her life to be stuck in a relationship with a reformed gangster. It was a nice night for a walk, the snow was not falling hard enough to make it impossible to see but it drifted non challantly from the clouds to hover lightly over the ground before finally making contact and joining the rest of its million siblings on the ground. The snow plows were not yet caught up and it looked as though the road that they were walking on was due for a new plow anytime soon. The white blanket not yet hindered by the salt and sand that would cause it to turn to slush and a brown hue as it splashed up onto the curb. The sidewalk by the cafe had been shovelled though and there was a thick layer of salt. After the snowball had been tossed and they passed by the little kids that were having the snowball fight in their front yards she commented that she loved the winters here. He had to agree. I agree, back in Poland it was much colder and almost impossible to walk around in. As they stepped into the cafe they were greeted by the aromas of the freshly baked goods and a mixture of the different coffees and beverages that you could order. They took their place at the back of the line which was not too long and waited for the couple people in front of them to order. Stepping behind her he easily rested his arms around her waist and allowed the warmth of the entire length of his body to be transfered to the girl since he knew it would be impossible for her to be warm in the clothing that she was wearing and even if she was it gave him an excuse to be close. When they approached the front of the line they both ordered the same thing and he produced a bill from her pocket to the person on the other side of the cash register. It was nothing to him and therefore he was glad when she did not protest. To him, a man was always supposed to pay for their girlfriend and be able to provide for the significant other in their life, after all was that not something that a girl was looking so subconciously in their partner. Not as much emphasis was placed on the male paying anymore which he thought to be wrong, though he kept in mind that that was nothing but his own opinion. Deep rumble originated in the mans chest when she told him that he was going to make the other girls jealous. Let them be jealous, they are nothing compared to you. He whispered without even glancing in the direction of the other women within the cafe, since he honestly did not care. This girl had struggled with him through the times that were the hardest in his life and never left his side. She saved his life and dragged his sorry bruised ass home when he had been jumped out of the gang, she meant more then just a traditional relationship to him. While her comment might had been made for her to step away and 'not make girls jealous' she did not move and looked as though she was even more relaxed within his embrace causing a small smile to creep onto his features. Too horrible? He asked sounding astonished in a joking manner and raising his hand to where it would rest on his chest just above his heart. I am hurt Arden. He said but broke out in a series of small chuckles. I can see that you have already decided, don't lie. One corner of lips raised in a small smirk. You can not resist the urge to spend the day with me. He spoke confidently before then turning to their food and carried it to a small booth that had been vacated. Sliding in across from her eyes were then rested on her gaze. Head was dipped in acknowledgement when she told him that it was very good and continued until he was finished before then stepping up to toss their garbage into the can across the room and following her out the door in which she seemed to be leading the way. Reaching out he grabbed her hand and laced their fingers together before holding the door for another group of people to enter the small bustling cafe. He spotted where she was leading them and steps matched hers as her pace seemed to increase. He then took a seat beside her a small sigh was released as her head was rested on his shoulder. She spoke telling him that this was true bliss, lids were allowed to fall over optics for a moment just enjoying the situation of sitting there with her, the true bliss for him was found in the company of the girl, the snow and flakes falling nothing more then an added bonus. I am a very lucky guy. He stated quietly. Arm was wrapped around her shoulders to run along her arm quietly. The sky was turning dark with the combination of clouds that were causing it to remain vovercast as well as the sun starting to set. His mind then turning back to the strange phone call he had had earlier in the day that had been pushed to the back of his mind until now. I got a strange phone call earlier. My mother and sister have decided to come visit me. They told me they would be arriving tomorrow during the day and wanted to go out for dinner, would you come with me? I have not seen them for over 3 years so I don't know what to expect so feel free to say no.

Seeing as it was the beginning of winter, the air was quite frigid, the falling flakes of snow proving that to be truer. Yet she had not considered the weather reports whilst packing her clothes and having had brought just a sweatshirt and a lighter coat, she was rather cold but refused to act as though she was. She had gotten used to slight suffering from her own misjudged actions, just considering them a lesson learned. Though, they never consisted of anything terrible, just simple everyday mistakes. He told her of the winter weather in Poland and it did not sound appealing to her at the moment, more so because she was cold. Usually, she had no problems with being cold, but generally she considered the weather conditions a bit more, it just had slipped her mind. Upon stepping into the cafe, the air was much warmer with the addition of a heater as well as the presence of him holding her closely around her waist. At the presence of his whispered vocals, she sighed contentedly, a smile easing its way across her face. She did not exactly agree though she was silent because it was pointless to argue about such things. And it made her feel very special when he said such compliments, which it most likely would to most girls. Head was lifted slightly, gaze watching him intently as he joked around about her comment. Eyes were rolled in their sockets at his little bout of dramatic response. Drama queen. She muttered playfully, looking away as he smirked and shaking her head. I admit I have, but I'm completely capable of walking away from you, if I wanted to, but that is the opposite of the case. Words were mumbled, meeting his eyes shyly as they walked towards the booth. She doubted what she said was true at the given moment, but she knew depending on the situation she would be able to. As they were leaving, he held the door politely for another group of people before taking her hand and walking with her. She kept looking up towards the sky, watching the flakes descend once again. He seemed rather content as she rested her head on his shoulder, a gentle sigh escaping from her as well. As he stated that he was a lucky guy, she was aware that he was speaking in terms of her.Heat rose to her face, thinking of how unlucky she was personally until it came to terms of being with him. But in being around him, she was able to forget about that. His arm was wrapped around her shoulders and she scooted a bit closer to him. The vivid colors of the sunset caught her attention for a moment, admiring the different colors filled throughout it. Head was lifted from his shoulder, straightening to watch him with full attention as she listened to him speak. Head was tilted as he explained that his family had called and where to arrive tomorrow, which seemed quite odd seeing as he rarely spoke of them. Neither of them really spoke of their family, which she did not exactly mind avoiding that subject. She pondered over the invitation for a moment, nodding slowly. I'd like to come with you and meet them. She admitted quietly. The sunset had faded and now the sky was a rather dark blue, the falling flakes getting bigger and a bit thicker. We should probably head back. She suggested, finding herself to have practically lost the feeling in her fingers and toes. Tennis shoes were not very adequate for winter weather either. She bent down to fix her shoelaces as he had his back turned, grabbing a small ball of snow mischievously. Steps were taken forth, blocking his path and smiling innocently, arms wrapping around his neck and standing on tip toes. Lips lingered near his, yet she did not kiss him, simply dropping what was left of the snow down the back of his shirt. Her smile changed more so to a smirk, a small laugh before actually kissing him for a quick moment. I thought your ego needed to cool down. She teased with a small laugh. She then wondered how he would take it, worried that he would not think of it as a joke. The snow stuck to the sidewalk and she found it to be quite slippery which was not at all a good thing when she was walking. Hands were stuffed in the pockets of her jacket, trying to keep them warm as well as in case she fell down so he would not be dragged down as well. She walked backwards for a few steps, declaring it a bad idea and was about to start walking normally just as she lost her balance. She struggled slightly, but still managed to fall on her ass, which was a lot better than falling on her head and hitting it against the asphalt. She grimaced as the snow soaked the fabric, scrambling to her feet as quick as she could without falling again. The bits of snow were brushed away from her jeans, a bit embarrassed before laughing quietly and shaking her head. Damn karma gets me every time. She muttered with a small shrug, walking besides him down the sidewalk in ease. Now she was literally freezing her ass off, but she really was not fretting over it. It was not worth complaining, she was enjoying herself and it was her fault as it was. Glance was cast towards the dark areas that went unseen by the illumination of the street lights. Forgetting about her own clumsiness, fingers were woven with his and she walked closer until their shoulders were nearly brushing. Hidden worry seized her mind until they reached the safety of his porch, silent relief flooding over her. Upon stepping into the house, she excused herself to go change and came back dressed in a pair of pajama shorts and a grey camisole. And what is your plan now? Curiosity tugged at her tones, tilting her head slightly figuring that there were still a few hours before they would retire for the evening.

He knew that sitting on the gazebo would only be a good idea for a limited amount of time. The moment that you stopped moving in this cold you felt as though you were going to freeze to death and the deep aching in every single joint provided enough discomfort for him to dismiss the view to attempt to keep moving. The frigid wooden bench seemed to be three times as hard as it was in reality beneath his tail bone. A shiver ran all the way along his spine and it seemed to keep going all the way to his toes, which he was not too sure were even there anymore. He glanced towards her when she told him that she wanted to meet his mother and sister when they were in town for dinner the next day. A small smile pressed on his lips glad that the girl would go with him so he would be able to show off his girlfriend. He was also delighted when she told him that he thought that they should go since he was starting to lose the sensation all the way to his knee caps. Palm then rested on the smooth wooden railing that encased the gazebo and propelled his body weight upwards to a standing position. As they crossed over the threshold and onto the snowy terrain she paused in order to do what looked like tying her shoes and he gave no further thought to the action until she had raised back to her full height and stood blocking his path with a mischevious expression flashing on features. Brow raised slightly but he did not comment as she threw her arms around his neck and stood on her tip toes, he did not suspect a thing until a cold substance was dropped down the back of his shirt, causing shoulders to convulse in an attempt to get away from the less then ideal temperature. Though nothing seemed to do it since the piece of fabric that covered the males torso held the now liquid against his skin. A glare was shot in her direction and he decided that he was going to need to retaliate. He was about to bend at the waist in order to gather a small ball of snow intending to be thrown in her direction when she lost her footing in the slippery weather. Arm was reached out to steady her and he just managed to break her fall and avoid her getting seriously hurt before helping her back to her feet. Snow now had melted and soaked her. Luckily they were not too far from her town house as he then responded in scooping her up in his arms with a goofy grin plastered on features. Yes, karma indeed. However, tomorrow I need you uninjured so this seems to be the only way. He said with a small chuckle as one arm went beneath her bent knees and propped her frame up there and one was strewn across her back making for a comfortable almost seated position for the girl. At this time of the night there would be no one else walking on the streets so therefore he knew that it was not a big deal as he did not allow her down and stepped lightly onto the sidewalk again. Within the next five minutes they were at his front door and only then did he allow her back onto her feet so that he was able to unlocked the door and open it to reveal the warmth of the house in which he had missed. He made sure to close and lock the door behind them the minute that they were inside and discarded his shoes at the door to step further into the house. He walked to his bedroom and picked out a long sleeved shirt and a pair of sweat pants that he knew would keep him warm for the rest of the night and whatever she wanted to do. It was not late and since they had both decided that they were taking the day off tomorrow, well he had asked her to take the day off to spend with him they did not have to worry about having to get up early. She returned to the living room from where she had been changing in the bedroom dressed in clothes that one might wear to bed, which he was glad it meant that she was comfortable around him. When she neared the couch arms reached out to lightly grab her wrists and pull her towards the couch, he had turned the fireplace on so it was nice and warm and gave off a comforting aura. Arm was placed around her shoulders before he turned to her. Well we could watch a movie, or anything you want to do it is completely up to you.

Expression was concealed with a mask of confusion at his comment in return to her nearly falling, not managing to do so completely with his aid. Teeth chattered involuntarily, no matter how hard she tried to sustain it. A quiet, startled noise came from the girl as he lifted her in his arms. Bewildered gaze rested on his face, shaking her head disapprovingly. You are just going to hurt both of us. She mumbled in feeble protest, yet she could already tell he was not going to give in. Arms were linked around his neck once more, watching him silently as he walked. Upon being set back on her feet, quiet words were spoken. You never stop surprising me. After stepping the house, she quickly went to change from the saturated clothing that was clinging to her frame. The change in clothing made her much warmer, the temperature inside the house helping as well. She made sure that the dog went outside for a short time before putting her back inside the crate. Still, the dog preferred to sleep in her kennel which was a usual sign from healing. As she walked by the couch, she was pulled next to him without much protest coming from her. The presence of his arm around her shoulders caused her to shift closer, gazing up at him as he told her the choice was hers. Decisions, decisions. She murmured with a sigh. Head was rested on his shoulder, hiding her face near the crook of his neck. She let her hand rest on the middle of his chest, looking up to him with a small smile. For the most part, I can make up my mind. But around you, it's twice as hard for some reason. Vocals were spoken next to his ear. Lids closed, relaxing next to him for a moment before slipping out from his arm and readjusting herself so she was sitting across his lap, similar to the way she had been positioned while he had carried her to the house. One arm was placed around his neck, her other hand resting upon his chest. There was a small gleam to her gaze as she looked at him, a teasing smile across her lips. A gentle kiss was placed along his jawline until kissers reached his with more pressure than normally. Pulling away slowly, the girl found it difficult to meet his gaze for a few seconds, glancing up and trying to read his expression. Butterflies were going crazy inside her stomach, slightly dazed from just being near him and he seemed to be the only one who could make her feel the exact way. Face was hidden against his shoulder with a small sigh. Usually, she was not as apprehensive about anything as she was with him. She had a hard time reading his expression at times, so she was constantly worried about messing something up. I'm such a mess around you. Words were mumbled against his chest before moving to sit away from him on the couch. Eyes met his for a brief moment, looking towards the t.v. and biting her lip. Figure moved from the couch to grab a movie, she picked something that looked relatively funny and slipped it into the player, turning the screen on as well. She sat next to him on the couch, watching the movie only halfheartedly. Slowly, she let herself relax casually beside him.
ooc:Sorry. :/ Very short and bad.

When he picked her up and rested her in his arms she seemed a little skeptical telling him that he was just going to hurt the both of them. A glare was shot in her direction with a playful smile. You seem to underestimate me. He told her rather confidently. A few glances were uttered to her as they walked but mostly he was looking at where he was walking to make sure that he did not slip on any of the ice or snow that was forming. When they arrived on the porch a small sigh of relief left his lips at the fact that he was able to make it there without dropping her. She then told him that he always suprised her and this made him smile. Corners of kissers upturning on both sides to support a genuine grin that usually was only half worn. The traditional guise for the male being a half smile uttered along features which caused him to look rather irresistable. He followed her to the door when she took the dog out, wrapping his arms around her waist and standing with her while the dog did her business on the lawn before then coming back and going to sleep in the crate he did not follow her into the room that encased the door but took a seat on the couch instead. When she sat on the couch with him he immediately moved closer and drew her nearly into his lap. Only to have her shift into resting her legs over his lap. Hand rested on the girls shin before she then shot up to go choose the movie. She picked one that seemed to be appropriate for the evening and set it into the DVD player. He then got up to turn the lights out and immerse the livin room into darkness. He then took his spot on the couch though he was not content with the way that they were sitting and wrapped both arms around her and pulled her close to him. He shifted so that he was closer to sitting in the middle of the couch and lifted her until she was over on the other side of him and her legs were resting over his as well. Arm was around her shoulders. She then turned to kiss him, this time with a little more intensity than they had harboured before. She did not seem too confident though and pulled away far too soon for his liking. Eyes then turned to the screen for a moment watching the movie though it was only half heartedly. She then told him that whenever she was around him she was a mess and head was shook. You shouldn't be. He then allowed lips to meet hers this time with no reserves and forgetting completely about the movie playing behind them. After a couple moments he then broke apart as the movies credits started rolling across the screen. The music seemed to be playing a lot louder then the dialogue of the movie. He turned the TV off with the remote on the end table. He then resettled on the couch. So what do you want to do tomorrow? He asked with a small yawn. With a small smirk he then turned back to her. Well if I am not allowed to sleep on the couch where am I supposed to sleep, the floor? He uttered in a joking manner with a small smile.

Head was shaken, rolling her eyes as he teased that she underestimated him; rather she did not like to press their luck. She was sure he was relieved as well upon making it safely to the steps before the door. It was not even fathomable to her, the amount of times she probably would have slipped or full out fallen without him carrying her, but still she felt guilty although it had been his own idea. Being distracted as she watched the snow fall from the sky while the dog was let outside, she flinched in slight surprise as arms were wrapped around her waist. Head reclined against his shoulder, watching the sky as well as him at the same time until it was time to call the dog in. Once seated on the couch, a gentle sigh escaped from the girl as he pulled her closer only for her to readjust herself. As she got the movie started, the lights were shut off and they both returned to the couch. She watched in silent amusement as he shifted closer and then pulled her over his lap once more. She let her eyes wander from the movie playing to him as he responded by telling her that she shouldn't be. It was never on purpose, and she knew it was because she stressed emphasis on some sort of perfect that she did not even know the definition of. It was completely useless and she was slowly starting to understand this. I know. Syllables were uttered, being silenced as he kissed her with more energy than any of the times prior. The only reminder of the movie playing was the music playing in the background, though that was only noted as he pulled away.Soft expression met his gaze for a moment until she shifted so her feet were barely hovering above the carpet. a small exhale came from her as she evened her breathing from the slight falter. Fingers entwined flaxen locks into a loose braid as it was held over her shoulder, securing it with an elastic band which had been forgotten around her wrist. Sapphires focused on him as the question was asked, making a small 'hm' noise as she thought. Not entirely sure about that as of yet....I need to keep you out of trouble of course. Otherwise, I would not make a good impression on your family. A playful glare was sent in his direction, shaking her head in disapproval as he asked if he was supposed to sleep on the floor. Exactly, the floor. Sarcastic tones replied teasingly. We made a compromise, remember? Arms were folded across her stomach, frowning at him before rolling her eyes and continuing. I am sleeping on the couch, but if you find the floor comfortable, it is your house so I really can't tell you not to. Figure rose from the couch with a yawn escaping her jaws, hand covering her mouth as she had always been told to. She quickly reminded herself that she needed to call into work so they would have someone ready to cover her shift. Cell phone was taken from her bag, dialing her manager's number hesitantly. Though it sounded rather horrendous to be real to the girl's ear, the manager bought it seemingly enough. It was asked if someone needed to come check on her, which was quickly dismissed as it was explained that she already was in good hands. She felt slightly accomplished, having been able to lie about something and succeeding, though it was not exactly a good thing to be proud of. And it was not going to become any sort of a habit. A frown replaced her expression, walking back out to where he sat on the couch and sitting besides him with a sigh. So much for staying with you tomorrow, they didn't buy it. I really need to learn how to lie. She muttered, but failed to prevent the small smile from crossing her lips and knew he would not take long to figure out that she was not telling the truth.

He could not allow himself to lose control he did not want to scare the girl away, her innocence was important to him. He was determined not to be like the other members of the gang that cared about nothing but getting into a girls pants. She was sexy though so its not as though he did not think about it, he was a man after all but his morals won out above all those feelings. As they broke away it took all his self restraint, she clearly did not know the power that she wielded over him. Heart was racing within his chest, breathing rapid and shallow. Though he instantly calmed himself battling with the feelings that were flashing close to the surface. He felt vulnerable. The times he had been involved with a girl before he had always felt so in control and so sure of everything, Arden though she had the power to really hurt him and he was not too sure if he liked this. Though he knew that he would need to break down his barriers in order to move forward in his life. Eyes were closed for a moment to regain the thoughts that were not a jumbled mess. Eyes follow her movements as she puts her hair in a braid, he was always curious on how you would braid though he had not need for the skill and did not want to sound like a goof asking. So he memorized the movements of her hands though tried not to look suspicious at the same time before then turning his attention onto what she told him that she did not know what she wanted to do the next day. Keep me out of trouble. Hmm, that seems like it would be a full time job. He said with a small smile. A good impression on my family? Trust me its not very hard. He said with a small chuckle and it was true. He did not intend on telling them that he was out of the gang, though they would see his reformed life and wonder what had changed him. They were not close enough to talk about something like his personal life. I am not very close with them. I warn you. I have not talked to them in a very long time. I sent them away after I became involved even more so with the gang I did not want my sister involved and I always blamed my mom for not warning me about it before my dad went to jail so I hate how she just accepted that her son was a write off. He felt a little better now that he had warned her so that when it was awkward between them she would be able to understand. Eyes were rolled with a good hearted chuckle when she sarcastically told him that the floor was exactly where he was supposed to sleep reminding him of the compromise that he made. Oh come on now, I was prepared to agree to almost anything to get you to stay here. It does not count. She looked as though she was going to be stubborn though and a glare was sent in her direction. You can not expect me to go sleep in my bed while my girlfriend is forced to sleep on the couch. She then stood and walked out of the room with her phone, he guessed that she was going to call her work and he was right when she walked back into the room and told him that they had not believed her when she told them that she was too sick to come in for her shift tomorrow. It took him a moment before he realized that she was lying and brows were raised. You don't lie very well. He stated with a small smirk before kissing the tip of her nose and resting his forehead against hers. A small sigh escaping kissers. So I have made a decision. If you are going to be stubborn and sleep on the couch I am going to camp out in the living room and sleep on the floor. With that defiant statement he then stood and walked to the closet pulling out a camping mat that looked to be the top of a mattress and set it on the floor by the couch before then going back and grabbing a bunch of blankets for her andthe pillows and spare pillows from his bed before offering them to her. He felt as though he was back in high school and believe it or not it was a great feeling since that had been back in the days where he had nothing to worry about besides getting the attention of the popular girls. When he had finished arranging the bed situation he then walked into his room to rid his shirt and be dressed in just a pair of blue plaid pajama pants. He stepped into the washroom to brush his teeth before then back into the room and waiting on her to do what she needed to do before he turned the light off. As a last minute thought he jogged back into the room to grab the crate that the dog was sleeping in and the food and water dish and move them into the same room. He was glad that he knew that he did not snore from the many times he had stayed at the safe houses that were provided by the gang. When she returned he stepped up to turn the light off and then pausing at the edge of the couch kiss was placed on her cheek. Good night. He uttered before laying back on the mattress thing on the floor. As soon as it seemed that his head hit the pillow he was asleep. A light slumber where he was still aware of what was going on.

At the sight of him closing his eyes, she immediately wondered if she had done something wrong. Braiding her hair would keep herself from getting too fidgety as well as it was nice to do so it was more manageable in the morning. No comment was made as she recognized that his gaze appeared to be following the movements of her fingers, relieved as he spoke other than having to sit their in an awkward silence until she came up with something actually worth bringing up. It's a shame that I cannot keep track of you full time, it would be so much better than taking people's orders all day. She murmured with a small laugh, focusing on him as he continued to speak. Shoulder pressed to the couch, head was tilted slightly as he told her that making a good impression on his family was not difficult. Her family used to be very accepting and welcoming, but now it was complicated to the point where she did not like to speak of it. Well, some of her family were tolerable, the majority of the time. She listened attentively as he told her he was not close to her family and she nodded with a good understanding. Though her reason was not for protecting her family like his was, more so to keep a large fight from erupting based upon different opinions. She had learned to become independent at a young age, so she was not completely lost when she moved out on her own. His story reminded her once more of his being drawn into the gang without a choice. She found it understandable, that he was a bit irritated with his mother seeing as she had known about the gang without telling him. I could not even fathom... She mumbled, shaking her head slightly, unable to understand how you could just watch knowing someone would have to throw their life away basically and not warn them or try to help someway. The subject was soon dismissed and she was a bit pleased that it had only because it was rather depressing to her, not that she did not like that he opened up to her and told her things about his life. An irked look that was supposed to be a death glare was shot in his direction as he told her that he would have agreed to nearly anything to get her to come and spend a few nights. I'll have to keep that in mind.... She murmured with a small smirk, enjoying toying with him to a certain point. Eyes were rolled as he said something about her being forced to sleep on the couch. I asked to sleep on the couch, so therefore I came willingly. She argued, though it was light heartedly. It did not look as though he would just go sleep in his bed; they were both being stubborn and it was not worth a fight. As she walked out to make the phone call, she was sure not to let him see the smile that was across her face. But as she returned, he bought the act for a short amount of time before telling her that she did not lie very well, which she already knew to be true. Lids were closed briefly as he kissed her nose, sighing as forehead was rested against his. That should be a good thing, shouldn't it? She questioned rhetorically. She raised a brow at his next statement, decreeing that he was going to sleep on the floor, referring to it as 'camping'.It seemed as though he had taken her statement seriously, but she knew he had contorted it just because she brought it up.Really, she needed to monitor what she said around him as to not give him ideas. Quinn... Syllable was mumbled, only for him to leave and return with a light mattress then blankets and pillows. A couple of blankets were spread across the couch, grabbing a few pillows and gently hitting him with one before he left for a moment. Walking past him on her way to brush her teeth, gaze was quickly averted from his bare chest in order to not stare, though eyes did wander for just a second. After coming back from the bathroom, she was puzzled as he jogged into the other room, only to return with the dog in its crate. Oh thanks. Soft smile was offered to him, the canine glancing around for a moment before settling once again. If I fall on top of you, it's your fault. She warned, half way serious. She settled into the blankets after he kissed her cheek, murmuring good night to him as well. It was rather easy for the girl to fall asleep, waking early only because she had grown used to it. She glanced over the edge of the couch, only to notice that Quinn had not spent the entire night alone. Chloe had decided sometime in the middle of the night to sleep on the mattress as well. The dog was sprawled out on the blankets, snugged with next to him and she shook her head. Careful not to wake either of them, she moved off of the end of the couch as quietly as she could, stepping over them to go grab her things and take a quick shower. Clothes were picked prior to getting in the shower, placing them on the counter so she would not wander around in simply just a towel around her body. She dressed casually, changing her shirt but putting on a pair of sweat pants because she did not feel like wearing actual clothes so early.Hair was dried as best as she could do with a towel, trying still to make the least amount of noise possible. Stepping around on her tip toes, she tried to sneak about, finding ingredients for pancakes and fixing them up. As she walked back through the living room, she noticed the dog crawling slowly closer to Quinn's head, something she always did before she tried to lick someone's face. Chloe. Vocals whispered, though the dog was not paying attention. Stepping quickly to the edge of the mattress and bending to grab the dog away before she could set out to do as she wanted, balance was lost and she started falling forwards. Hands reached out to catch herself, landing inches away from each side of the man's shoulders. The dog was carefully pushed away, but now she would have definitely woken him up by basically falling on top of him. Hi. She breathed stupidly, biting the inside of her mouth and quickly moving away so she was sitting on the floor for a bit. I made breakfast... Pancakes? Of course she was entirely embarrassed by her own little circus act in which she was both the ring leader and a performer. She stood and gently ushered the dog outside for a minute before letting her back in. Well at least she had not managed to lock herself out yet this morning, yet, but that was a good thing so far.

The night had become peaceful and the male had not fallen asleep right away. He layed there listening to the girls breathing until they became farther spaced out and deeper signalling that she was asleep before he allowed himself to succumb to the dream world as well. He had merely wanted to make sure that she was able to fall asleep since he knew from a first hand basis that it was sometimes hard for someone to sleep when they were at someone elses house. Though it was quite a compliment and testament to what she felt around him when she fell peacefully into a slumber. Somewhere in the middle of the night he awoke to hearing shuffling, though it was not nearly big enough to be a person he looked down to the end of the mattress to spot the little dog joining him. A small smile creased kissers as he then whispered to the animal patting the spot next to him so that he would not end up kicking the animal when she was down by his feet in his sleep. She curled up next to him and it was only moments before he was back asleep. He nearly jumped to his feet when a sudden weight over top of him fell to hover just above him, eyes flashing open to reveal the girl right in front of him. A small chuckle was released in a good nature. Never a dull moment. He stated before not allowing her to pull away and instead wrapping his arms around her rib cage trapping her there. You know, if you wanted to join me you could have just said something, you did not need to stage this. A cheeky grin taking the place of the smile. He then allowed her to leave as she looked as though she wanted to move and she took the dog out before stating that she had made pancakes. Interest sparked in gaze before hopping to his feet. Straightening the mattress and realizing how stiff he had become from sleeping on the floor. It had been a long time since he had slept on the floor and when he had before it had been because he was forced and there was no room anywhere else. This time it had been willingly. Nothing that a good hot shower would not fix though. Steps were taken towards his bedroom and the ajoining bathroom. He grabbed a different pair of boxers, a pair of jeans and a shirt before stepped into the hot spray of the shower, he made sure that he was quick though since the girl had mentioned pancakes and little did she know that they were his favourite and he did not want to keep her waiting. After his hair was washed he then dried himself with a towel before putting the clothes and deoderant on and brushing his teeth before stepping out of the bathroom. When he arrived in the kitchen a small sigh was released. The scene unfolding before him was perfect. He set to work at doing anything that was left before then joining her at the table. Wow this looks amazing, pancakes are my favourite. He told her before dropping a few on his plate after she had served herself and pouring both of them a glass of orange juice. Plenty of butter and maple syrup caked his pancakes as they were cut into small triangles before brought to his mouth. Every now and then his gaze would raise to rest on the girl sitting in front of him. I don't think you should go back to work. I am already enjoying this way too much. He said with a small chuckle. When they had finished their breakfast he stood to grab the plates and take them to the dishwasher, though it was not full so therefore he did not turn it on. So do you have snow clothes? We can stop by your house if you need to grab them. He told her before helping her put the dog away and he grabbed a pair of snowboard pants he had used back in the day when he had time to ski. He left his jeans on for the time being but threw his jacket over his shoulder. On the porch as soon as they were both out he locked the door and walked to the car that was parked on the driveway luckily he had good snow tires since there had been a lot of snow the night before and he was confident in the driving conditions since he had grown up in Poland. After they had stopped at her house and she grabbed her snow pants he remained silent as they turned onto the freeway and away from the town. So how do you feel about tubing? He asked.

A small glare was what he got in response to commenting about never having a dull moment. Why was she always so clumsy around him? Normally, she was not so much of a klutz, he just happened to be the one who saw every time she slipped or tripped. As she tried to get up, she could not because his arms were holding around her waist. She gave up with a small sigh, resting her head in one of her palms and simply watching him with a raised brow. He coyly stated something about her just asking rather than planning this, which of course was a total accident. A small frown seized her lips, shaking her head with an innocent expression. I'm sorry, I just got a little jealous of your new red-headed girlfriend. Next time, I will be sure to ask. She replied, eying the red and white colored dog who was now looking to lick both of them. Upon being released from his grasp, she was able to let the dog out as she planned. Gaze caught the small stiffness in his movement, a nearly inaudible sigh escaping her. She would convince him somehow to sleep in his own bed tonight, she would have to figure out a hell of a reason though. She returned to tend to the remaining pancakes that were cooking and found herself enjoying cooking for him, though she had always liked to cook. It was just nice to have it appreciated by someone else, as long as they were not lying. The quiet sigh was what alerted her of the man's presence, turning around to glance at him for a moment, curious. He stated that the breakfast looked amazing and she smiled, murmuring a small thank you at the compliment. She was pleased when he commented that pancakes were his favorite. It was nice to know that she had made a good choice and she made a small note of it for later. She grabbed a few of the pancakes and topped hers with some butter and a bit of syrup as well. Several times, her eyes met his for a quick moment, a gentle smile across her face each time. Oh? She questioned with a small laugh as he said that he did not think she should go back to work because he was enjoying her company, yet she had not even stayed for a full twenty-four hours. Give it time, you'll want to get rid of me soon enough. She teased him, eyes rolling slightly. Once they were done, he took the plates and put them in the dishwasher, then went to ask her about having snow clothes. Those had been left at home as well. She became curious as he returned with his own snow pants and jacket and she wondered what he exactly had in mind. Though she did not ask because the element of surprise was always so much more fun. She went and changed into an actual pair of jeans before taking care of the dog and following him to the car. As she went into her house for a moment, she noted everything was just as it had been when she had left it. Snow pants and a heavier jacket were grabbed, locking the door on her way out. Her original plan was to only stay at Quinn's house for only two nights, but it really depended on when he was okay with her staying there. It was not at all a bother to her, staying there, she was more worried about bothering him. They were both rather quiet for awhile, gaze watching the things they were passing. She noticed the many tree lots now stationed about the town for the Christmas season, as well as the lights decorating the houses. That was something she needed to do, decorate her house when she went back to it. Christmas was her favorite time of the year because of all the decorations and the whole aurora of it. Attention quickly turned to the male as he asked her of her opinion on tubing. It reminded her of the times when they pulled sleds or inner tubes behind four wheelers and snowmobiles during the winter a few years back. Actually, it's sort of a favorite pastime of mine you could say, it used to be sort of a annual thing a couple of years ago. She responded with a light shrug. Stepping out of the car, she quickly reached for her coat and slipped into it, the mountain was a lot colder and caused her to shiver at the frigid temperature.

The road was still rather slippery from the snow that had fallen from the night before, since it was still falling the city workers that were expected to plow the roads were quite behind and that showed with the amount of abandoned cars by the side of the road, though they would not be one. When he lived in Poland he learnt the importance of being prepared for the winter in order to not get stranded. Some people waited until there was snow on the ground to get their winter tires put on. He had thought of that over a month ago in case a freak storm had been headed their direction. When they paused outside her house he stepped out to ensure that she was alright though did not follow her up the steps since she was already back on her way out before he had even made it to the sidewalk so instead he settled with simply holding her door open to the car for her and shutting it before then moving easily along the ice back to his side and putting the car into drive as they left the curb and headed back out onto the highway, heading towards the higher elevations. Luckily the luxury car was heavy and had all wheel drive so the traction control did not even tell them that it was slippery since the tires gripped the road and moved as it would on a normal day. With all the new powdery snow in the higher elevations it would be a perfect day for tubing. He paused waiting for her answer to when he asked if she liked tubing. If she told him no he would always have a back up plan, today was a day that he wanted to please her and have fun with her it was not about him and he would be happy to do anything with her before she was subjected to the dinner with his family later on in the night. He could not help but dread tonight, knowing his mother she was not just down for a visit she would have some sort of ulterior motive for coming there. He did not want to think about that though, he would give her the benefit of the doubt by going to dinner with her tonight and then see if anything had changed. Well I am glad, it has been awhile since I have gotten to go and it will be perfect after all this snow. He informed her with a small smile turning off the highway onto a road that steadily started to turn and wind around a mountain and ascend. It did not take long for them to reach the top since the roads had been plowed and they parked in a parking lot and stepped out into a lower area below what would be the ski hill. The tubes were all lined up and already there were a ton of kids present and bombing down the hills. Promise me you will not hurt yourself. He uttered to her gently before pressing his lips to beside her ear in a small smile. He then stood in the line up and paid for the two of them and they were given tubes and a few small rules before then allowed through the gate to test some of the man hills. Assuming she would want to start off small he walked towards one of the slower deemed routes and waited for her to join him in the next lane. Pulling his hood over his head to minimized the amount of wind rushing through his ears he then turned to her. Ready? He asked before then positioning himself on the tube and pushing off. Soon enough they were both at the bottom and walking to the rope tow where they sat in their tubes and were hauled to the top of the hill again. When they got to the top he then moved to a more steep choice. Race you? He challenged.

When it came to getting snow tires, she tended to be a bit of a procrastinator, getting them last minute when the snow came and all the tire stores were constantly busy. As usual, she had not gotten them yet this year, it was now on her list of priorities. Her driving record with the snow was mostly clean apart from one year where she had simply swerved into the snow bank but the car escaped with one headlight still intact and a smaller bill from the mechanic shop. She was fine, just learned to not turn corners too fast especially in less than ideal road conditions. Having been her first time driving in real snow and ice, there was a bit of reason to it. Smile seized the girl's kissers at his reply, nodding in silent agreement that the weather would make the tubing perfect. Already she knew she would enjoy herself because it tended to be a trend whenever she was around him. Steps were small as she was careful to keep from sliding on the ice. Once to the safety of the snow and near the tubing hill, she let her attention focus on the soft vocals uttering into her ear. I promise. She murmured somberly in returned, glancing up at him only to have a shiver sent down her spine as his lips were pressed close to her ear. Gentle smile adorned her features as they walked, occasionally sneaking glances at the snow she was walking on.She planned on staying on her feet for the most part, which meant not falling at all. No matter what, she would not hurt herself and would avoid her own clumsiness at all costs, if that was possible. She was determined to remain in one piece at least for tonight, since she was going to get the chance to meet his family. Of course, she was worried they would not like her but Quinn had said they were not hard to make a good impression on. Which made her contradict herself further seeing as that may mean she was not worthy of making a good impression. No, he had not said anything or hinted at that, she had just turned his words around to the point where she was now even more stressed than she had been originally. She refused to act as though it was bothering her. One of the employees rambled through the rules as she was sure he had done multiple times. How boring a job like this could be, when it came to repeating yourself multiple times on a daily basis while over half of the people were not listening. After they were admitted through the gates and walking along the ridge of the different slopes, she watched the others going down with interest. Most were children, which proved to be entertaining for the most part. They stopped at one of the smaller lanes and she assumed they were going to work their way up which was fine with her. She adjusted herself on the tube and pushed off as he asked if she were ready. It only lasted a few seconds, but it was still fun. As they went to new slope, he challenged her to a race which of course she could not turn down. Ready? Go! She called out to him with a small laugh as she pushed off and slid down the hill, moving away quickly to clear the lane for the next person. Amused display was across her features as she watched him finish the run, rather pleased with herself just for a minute. Grabbing his arm as they walked and holding the tube with her other, she commented happily. This is fun, I'm glad you came up with the idea. A thought occurred to her, reminding her of something she had wanted to ask him. I want to decorate my house for Christmas tomorrow afternoon, do you think you could help me? Well, more like supervise me, I'd like to know someone was there to help me if I do get injured. She said, thinking it was indeed a better idea just because it just seemed that she was accident prone at the worse times. Really though, it was just an offer for him to hang around if he wished to. Looking up at him, she did not let herself look too hopeful leaving it up to him completely.

When he had been younger he had been in a few car accidents, nothing too serious and most of the time it was not him driving, though he had been young and stupid and had allowed other people to drive him to different destinations. It was soon that he learnt to trust no one but himself to ensure that he got to a place until they were at least a little more mature not to feel invinsible. He had always been the designated driver to many of the parties since he did not trust the people previously nominated to stay sober. A car accident would be one of the worst ways to die. Living in Poland though you learnt to drive in the snow from day one so therefore he was quite confident in the conditions that others were nervous about. Though here the cars were not as engineered towards the icey conditions as they had been there. When they arrived he parked in the parking lot and followed the salted path to the front of the building before paying for the two of them and stepping out onto the course. She promised him that she would not get hurt which even though he knew that she would not be able to control fully made him feel a little better. She reached the bottom of the run before him and when they met up they linked arms and walked to where they would be towed back up the hill, so much better than having to walk yourself. She told him that she was glad that he had the idea of coming and he nodded. Me too, its nice to have a day just with you. He stated gently. She then asked if he would be able to help her with the Christmas lights at her house the next afternoon and a small smile appeared on features. Of course, you do not even have to ask me. He told her looping an arm around her shoulders before being emitted to the top only to take the steepest of the hills this time. The fun then continued until he felt weary and chilled to the bone. Ready to go get some hot chocolate at the lodge before we freeze to death? He asked her as they reached the bottom the one last time. When she agreed they were left to give their tubes back at the top of the hill and walk through the gates, both of them unscathed which was nice. The lodge was a large wood cabin like building in the middle of the parking lot. A huge pile of snowboards and skis were piled beneath the roof in racks and some had fallen haphazardly into the path of the people walking. Hand was reached out to grasp the girls, fingers interlocking with hers as he lead her through the areas that were salted so that they would not slip and fall and beneath the gutters where the snow was not going to fall before holding the door open for her. It was loud in the building since it was a large lunch room looking like area with skiiers and snowboarders all over still hopped up on the adrenaline from their last ride. He looked around for a moment before spotting where the end of the line was starting in the corner. He then took their spot there on the rubber matted floor that would not be slippery for the people walking in snow board boots and ski boots. They had to pass through a bunch of zigs and zags in the line up that was orchestrated by some of those cones that you would see in a movie theater before reaching the front where they were able to grab a tray. After settling down with hot chocolate they were ready to leave since the atmosphere of the cafeteria like building was not one that he figured they needed to stick around in. Heading back to the car he unlocked it and opened the passengers side door for her before then sliding into the drivers side and heading back down the mountain and onto the highway that would lead to his house. Before dinner I need to run one errand, though I promise it will not take long. He told her before stopping in the driveway. He stepped out of the car and unlocked the door, shedding his winter clothes near the door by the closet leaving him in a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt. He then moved to his bedroom, to change into a pair of jeans and a different shirt. He then passed by her and spotted Chloe running a hand along the dogs back before throwing his arms around her with a small smile. I will be back in ten minutes. He told her pressing a kiss to her cheek before then jogging out the door and down to the drivers side of the car. The trip to town did not take long and he small store that he had had his eye on was not busy when he parked along the road in some of the parallel parking spots before reaching the door and stepping inside. The girl at the counter smiled at him asking if he needed help and he nodded. Yes. I ordered something here last week under the name Mazur and I got a call that it was here yesterday. She nodded and went to the back while he riffled through the cards in his wallet and produced his debit card to pay the restof the fee that was left on the item. He was handed a box in return and he was glad that he had already made his choice before he had come here today. It was set in the back of the seat as he drove back home and parked in the driveway. He was right and it did not take much more then ten minutes, still giving them a lot of time to get ready for dinner. He carried the box into the house with a small smile. So I found something for you the other day and I might be guilty for having to look through your clothes to make sure it would be the right size. He said with a small smile. Before handing her the box. Inside the box was a stunning turquoise cocktail dress. They called me yesterday and I figured I better get it today because tonight would be perfect. He stated gently. When he had spotted the dress he had immediately thought of her and how much he would like to see her in it. He had then had to rifle through her clothes to make sure of her size and not get caught before placing the order with the boutique. He hoped that it was to her style and she liked it.

At his statement of saying how it was nice just to spend a day with her, she felt the heat rise to her face but it was already flushed from the cold. Small kiss was placed on the man's cheek, simply because of how sweet that was to her. Ultimately, she was struggling see how she had gotten so lucky to be with the man she was with now. From her past relationships, it was a nice change because those had not ended up well. She had always gotten hurt, and that was why she did not have the same confidence as she used to. Being around Quinn, she felt much better about herself and let herself be a little more open to things. After she had asked him to come over tomorrow, he told her that she did not have to ask which made her smile yet again. A soft sigh was emitted as his arm was draped around her shoulders. After doing several runs, they were both cold and worn, but had enjoyed themselves. She nodded in agreement at his suggestion of going to the lodge to get some hot chocolate. She was happy that they both had managed to go without getting hurt during the course of tubing, but she knew there was still a chance of getting injured otherwise though she was fully set on not doing so. The mountain was rather busy, but it was sensible because the weather was perfect for skiers and snowboarders as well. Crowds of people walked passed them here and there and she was cautious as to carefully avoid running into anyone. Glance was cast towards her hand as he reached for it, fingers intertwining as she followed quickly behind him. It was an obstacle course, maneuvering their way to the lodge, basically an accident waiting to happen for her if she tripped somehow. She was very grateful that he clearly knew where he was going, thus leading her around expertly and free of any accidents. The layout of the lodge was a bit confusing to her at first, figuring out the balance of the lines was more baffling than anything, but she quickly caught on at the man's lead. They got the beverages but did not stay around the lodge long, which she was fine with because it was a bit crowded and loud. Careful strides matched his pace, smiling as he opened the door for her and a small thank you was recited to him upon getting in. He told her of an errand he needed to run and she nodded, completely fine with it. Once in the house, she slipped out of the snow clothes and placed them neatly near the door and decided on stayed in her pajama pants and the loose shirt for the time being. She let the dog out while he had disappeared for a moment, letting her in only to have his arms wrapped around her. She relaxed in his arms, only to have him tell her he would be back in a few minutes and place a kiss on her cheek. Small nod was given as he petted the dog before leaving and she then set off to decide upon what to wear for the evening. The luggage bag was placed on his bed as the clothes were gone through, frowning upon the two dresses she had brought, they just did not seem appropriate for a dinner with his family. She thought she could fudge with the one, figuring out something to level it out a bit more but still it would not be as nice as she wanted to look. The straightener from her things was grabbed, plugging it in so it had adequate time to heat up. A quiet bark sounded from Chloe, followed by the closing of the door and she knew that he had returned. She stepped into the living room after having reorganized her bag and was slightly curious at the box he held but did not ask about it. At his next statement, she raised a brow as he said something about looking through her clothes, and she knew she had started to blush. It really was nothing to be extremely embarrassed about so she did not think of it too much. Then the box was handed in her direction and she took it, placing it on the couch as she took the lid off of it. Eyes widened at the sight of the ravishing dress within the box. Delicately, she grabbed the fabric from the box and held it in front of her, utterly amazed. It appeared to be the right size and she had no doubt how much she liked it, it was also clear by her ecstatic expression. Wow, I absolutely love it.Quinn, you did not need to... She uttered, gently setting it back in the box for a moment. Arms were thrown around his neck, rising to her tip toes in order to press her lips to his. One hand trailed from the back of his neck to lie against his chest. After a few moments, she hesitantly pulled away, standing back on her feet with a small exhale. I'm pretty sure now that I have the best boyfriend, period. Lyrics were confident, planting a smaller kiss on his lips before pivoting away to grab the dress box. I'll be right back. Vocals murmured with a teasing smile as she sauntered towards his room. In a few minutes, she stepped out in the dress after having glanced down at it. She was a bit uncomfortable at first but once she reassured herself of how well it fit, she gained the courage to show it to him. Though she had not quite managed to get the zipper the last few inches up, seeing as it was not an easy task. Can you zip it up? She asked, turning with her back to him and laying her hair over one shoulder for a moment. After he had finished zipping it up, gleaming eyes glanced to him as she spun in a small circle. How does it look? Ivories ran over the tissue inside her mouth as she came to a halt in front of him. Naturally, she wanted his opinion seeing as he had picked it out and it was dinner with his family. Nervous hand ran through her hair, which still needed to be toyed with for a few minutes until she would be entirely ready. The small pair of black heels she had would accent the dress perfectly, as would the necklace she had already laid out.

He knew that the dress would borderline on a little much for the girl to wear though he also knew that it would look stunning on her. The teal coloured dress was dipped low in the front enough to show the girls physique but not enough to be scandulous. Just the visions of the girl in it caused a small shiver to run along his spine. He could not believe the way that she looked at the dress when she pulled it out of the box and it was just as stunning as he had imagined when he spotted it in the window of the shop and was not able to pass by it. The expression she adorned was enough to make his night complete without her even trying it on. She reached up to wrap her arms around his neck and told him that he did not need to buy it for her and eyes were rolled. I could not pass by it without imagining how amazing my girl would look in it. He whispered close to her ear before she then dropped her arms and a coy smile crossed his face when she told him that she was sure that she had the best boyfriend. He did not comment just waited for her to get back when he took a deep breath when she appeared at the door and brows raised and eyes widen slightly. Wow. Was the first thing that came to his lips. He stepped forth to run a hand down her arm and catching her fingers. Even in my mind it did not look this amazing on you. As she asked if he would be able to zip the rest of her dress up he nodded and moved so that he was behind her and eased the zipper up the rest of the way before wrapping his arms around her neck and resting his chin on her shoulder. I better get ready. I have to at least attempt to look half as good as you do. He stated with a small smile before stepping into his room and into the shower. The shower did not take longer then five minutes not wanting to keep her waiting he towel dried his hair before wrapping a towel around his waist and stepping into his room to choose the attire which luckily he had already planned out. A grey dress shirt and black dress pants were pulled on with a daring teal coloured tie that matched the girls dress followed with the jacket. Running a hand through his hair he added a little gel once it had dried completely before then stepping out to meet her. They were ready just on time and once he stood beside her he took her hand. Ready? He knew that he would shock his mother, though that was kind of the point. The last time she had seen him he was in a very dark place and he wanted to prove that he was fine without her and he got his life straightened out and he did not mind the fact that he was able to show off his stunning girlfriend. When they were out on the driveway he pulled the passengers door open for her before then stepping into the drivers side and backing out of the driveway heading towards the restaurent they were to meet at. He parked as close to the door as possible before getting out and walking beside her to the door an arm draped over her shoulders. When he entered the waiting room they were a little early but that did not matter. The hostess asked him what he needed and if he wanted a table for two but he shook his head. I have a reservation for Quinn Mazur. She nodded and looked on the little map before leading them in the direction of a table for four where he pulled out a chair for her and sat beside her. Within a couple of moments he spotted his mother and sister at the door. They were walking in his direction and he was so torn wanting desperately to be one of those people that could stand and throw his arms around them like they were long lost and missed but there was much too baggage there. Instead he settled for a hand shake, thinking how awkward that was he soon sat back. Mom, Kate, this is Arden, my girlfriend. He made introductions before settling into small talk before the waitress came and took their drink orders.
