She gently explained to him that there was no reason to be sorry and she felt partially like she was being a hypocrite in a way.She failed to convince him to take the bed and it was no use to try and argue. There really wasn't a point to it and they were both tried. She was just trying to make him comfortable while he was trying to do the same thing for her. Though he did laugh as she asked if he needed ice, which she assumed was a good thing. She noticed he did not have a shirt on, the cloverleaf tattoo was clearly visible, though she knew nothing about it. Vision was focused on his face, shaking her head but smiling at him as he told her that she basically was not allowed to sit on the couch. Yet, she proceeded to stick her tongue out at him childishly before shutting off the lights once more and advising him to stay off the floor. She knew that exhaustion had worn on her as she curled into the bed, falling asleep instantly. She woke up early as she always did, quiet as she stepped around the house. She was slightly surprised to see that he had put out an extra tooth brush and was very appreciative of the simple gesture. The light sweatshirt she had brought along was slipped over her head, anticipating it to be slightly cold. The walk was refreshing at first, the cold only settling in halfway through, when she started to consider turning back. The autumn wind was not at all forgiving of the thin layer of denim that covered her legs and served as feeble protection. She could feel her teeth chattering, the sound faint but still there. A breath of relief was inhaled as she stepped back into the warmth of the house, shrugging her shoulders barely at the question. I went for a walk...it sound like a good idea at the time. She murmured quietly, stepping out of her shoes with a small shrug. Not so much now. She gave him an amused look as he told her good morning. Good morning sunshine. She chimed in turn, teasing him playfully. Mhm, please and thanks. Lyrics were quiet as she then went to his bedroom and grabbed her phone, frowning as the screen revealed nothing but the time. The volume was turned up and the cell phone was slipped into her pocket, out of sight but not entirely out of mind. The different scents that came to her were inhaled as she entered the kitchen once more. Is there anything you can't do? Words were spoken softly, the question rhetorical. The girl had began to figure out where the dishes and silverware were held and found them quite easily, setting the table in spite of whatever he might say about it. She found herself to be in a rather good mood, not letting what happened yesterday cross her mind too heavily. Is there anything I can help with? She felt like she needed to be doing something right now, probably just because she was so awake and just wanted to be of some help. She was about to grab them each coffee mugs and stopped as her phone rang. She did not let herself get her hopes up, glancing at the screen to reveal that it was the vet calling. She mouthed the word sorry to him as the phone was placed against her ear. Anticipation of the dog being fine was there, despite her trying not to get excited and find out the exact opposite. She answered with a polite hello and was informed that the dog seemed to be doing well and would be able to go home with a bit of medication. The secretary explained what she knew and informed the girl that the vet would give a summary when they got the dog. Thank you. She nodded, even though it was an action that went unseen basically and hung up the phone. A smile lit up her face as she told him that the dog could come home and was going to be alright. Arms were carefully wrapped around the male's neck as kissers softly brushed his, thanking him for everything again and blushing as she stepped away.

He was worried about her, it really did seem as though bad luck followed her around. Her house being broken into, which he was still trying to convince himself was nothing more then a random attack since it wold put him too far on edge if he knew it was a part of the gang and he did not want to blame them before he found out for sure. Though he knew that it would not be for a while since there was no way that she was getting anywhere near them when he went to find out and talk to the one ally that he trusted not to turn his back to him and the only one that he knew to be the least dangerous and would keep his mouth shut about Quinn being alive if the rest of them did not know. Though there was no way that they did not know that he was alive now. They were just biding their time. He made sure that the door was locked behind her when she stepped in from the cold. He nodded when she explained to him why she had been outside. He made a note to make sure that he would get her a key cut since he always wanted to make sure that if something happened that she knew that she would be able to come to his house, even if he was not there. It needed to be thought of as a safe haven by the girl. A place that she was sure that she was always welcome. She uttered a playful good morning to him and a small smile became plastered on warm features. He then turned back to walking into the kitchen as she told him the breakfast that he had chosen to make was good. He set to work to making it. She then commented asking him if there was anything that he was not good at. Hmm... well thats up for interpretation. When she asked if there was anything that she could help with he shook his head defiantly pointing to the chair at the table. He uttered with a small chuckle before placing bacon on a plate. The sausages on another as well as the eggs and setting them on the table. Turning the coffee pot off and pouring a mug for both him and her before setting them on the table as well pulling out a chair for her to take a seat before returning to the table with cutlery. Not allowing her to do anything. He allowed her to take the food that she wanted first but she was recieving a call on her cell phone which he knew would be from the vet about the dog and he was sure that she had been waiting for the call all morning. He did not listen in to the conversation though when she got off the phone he could not help but ask. Was that the vet? Is Chloe ready to be picked up? He questioned. Knowing she would want to go there right away he ate rather quickly and placed the plates in the dishwasher without turning it on before stepping to her side. Lets go get your dog. He told her grabbing his keys off the counter.

An eyebrow rose slightly at the comment he said, shaking her head and rolling her eyes. He denied her offer to help by pointing her towards the chair besides the table. Really...I don't mind doing something. She mumbled, balancing herself against the counter. She thanked him as he set the food in front of her and it was all very appetizing. The phone call had interrupted their breakfast and she felt bad about it, hoping he would understand. After she hung up, he asked if it was the vet and if the dog could come home. She nodded. answering both of the questions by doing so and was very relieved. She finished her breakfast faster than she would have liked to, but she wanted to go bring the dog home as soon as possible. He took her plate after she finished and she smiled warmly at him. It felt odd for her not having to do everything herself, and she was so used to it that it was only natural. Pace matched his as they walked to the car, fingers lacing with his until she got in on the passenger's side after he unlocked it. She was lost in thought on the way to the vet's office, glancing at the time and remembering she was supposed to have an interview at two for the resort. She figured she could push cleaning up the house off for a few hours, since she might have a fair chance at the job if she didn't mess up the interview; which there was always some sort of possibility of happening. The car was pulled into the small parking lot which was not as vacant as it had been last night. Walking beside him into the office, she smiled vaguely, the secretary glanced up and informed them that she would tell the vet. A few other people sat in the waiting chairs, one a little girl that was hugging her pet rabbit close to her, an elderly couple with their mop dog and another guy who was waiting for his pet. She found them two seats and sat, thinking of how similar the mood compared to that of a doctor's office. After a few moments, one of the doors opened and a younger girl who must have been an intern of some sort was carrying the same box from the previous night. The intern called her forwards and she got up, smiling softly. Shew explained once more that the main emphasis was rest, and gave the break down of the medication and that she needed it twice a day for three days, then once a day for the remainder of the week. They expected her two be fully recovered in three to four weeks and that she should take it easy and should just move around on her own accord. The box was taken and set down carefully while the rest of the bill was paid for, which was not as high as she had assumed it would be. The secretary handed them an invoice and sent them on their way. Fingers gently stroked the dog's fur once they were in the car again. Thank you so much. Soft lyrics murmured to him with a smile across her face. Can you take me home, please? I have an interview I forgot about... As the car stopped besides her house, she was relieved to find that the crime scene tape was gone, as well as the police. I'll call you later. After he helped her get out of the car, she kissed him briefly and said good bye. She stepped inside the confides of the house and winced, grabbing the dog and putting her box near the living room. She cut out one of the sides in case the dog wanted to get out and move which did not seem likely. She then went and took a shower, changing into a casual, but nice looking outfit consisting of a light blue blouse and a pair of black slacks. Her hair was dried and straightened in a neat manner, checking the time and finding that she had gotten rather lucky with the time it had taken her to get ready. She let the dog outside for a moment before carrying her and placing her box in the laundry room. The door was locked on her way out, the house would still be in disarray when she returned. The interview seemed to have gone well, which was a relief. It lasted a little over an hour and a half, so the day was still young. She stopped by the police station, only to be informed that the only information they had retrieved was that the intruder had driven a black RX 8 with unidentified plates. That narrowed it down not so much at all. Her mind was all over the place as she drove home. A soft sigh was released into the air as she once more stepped into her house, now it was time to put the pieces back together. She brought Chloe to the back yard and put her in the small run, wondering if she had put the dog in their before she left that she would not have gotten injured. She changed into more casual clothes, a pair of sweats and a loose fitting t-shirt. She glanced at her phone, temporarily contemplating whether or not to call Quinn but she decided to leave him be and enjoy his afternoon in peace. She was able to clean up most everything, except for the fact that the living room furniture was still upside down. That she was not quite strong enough to do alone. The thing that did bring tears to her eyes was the shattered vase in the kitchen, the flowers that had been beautiful and living were now tattered and crumpled in pieces, obviously on purpose. The broom swept the remnants into the garbage can. Her bedroom appeared to be the only room that had not been touched in any way, she took a break and crawled into her bed, resting against the headboard and closing her eyes. She swung her legs over the side of the bed, knocking the alarm clock from her nightstand to the ground. Gaze stared at the carpet, more specifically at the small cloverleaf that was now there. A lump formed in her throat, knowing she had not placed it there and getting a minor flashback of the tattoo that was on Quinn's chest. She had to be imagining things. Her body was frozen a long while, staring at the simple little plant. Weren't they supposed to be a sign of luck? Well, it was only a plain three-leaf, but still. She knew it had nothing to do with luck, for her it was only the complete opposite. Finally, she moved only to retrieve her laptop and connect to the internet. Sapphires scanned over the information including that of gangs in the area, more specifically ones that had a trademark involving a clover. There was an alliance connection that sounded close to what she thought she was looking for. She found out about some initiation ritual that involved breaking and entering someone's house, hiding the symbol and taking something in return. But she could not find anything they had stolen? Strange. Maybe they hadn't gotten a chance to have taken anything, though that did not seem logical. Obviously, they'd gotten enough time to leave the house in turmoil as well as plant the clover somewhere she probably would have not normally found it. It then explained that the target varied upon the boss's specific instructions, and the rank in which the inductee was aiming for. The higher the rank, the riskier situation and she scanned over something about connections before going back to it. They could not have connected her to him. They thought he was dead...and well she was not in the picture, was she? The one time at the beach obviously had not been part of the same gang as him, or did they beat each other up on a daily basis? Knees were pulled against her stomach after shutting the laptop, utterly confused and afraid as well. What exactly was it that had happened? How was she supposed to find out? There was nothing she had been taught how to deal with such a situation. And she was quite sure that there was not a book called "What to do if your Boyfriend was or is a Gang Member For Dummies" or anything like it. She was not sure what to say to him, if anything about her own ideas. Maybe she was over thinking the situation and just imagining such things. She slid from her bed, grabbing the small plant and threw it in the trash. Everything was fine, and normal. With a small exhale, the phone was extracted from her pocket and his number was dialed. Hi...um..Can you help me with the furniture?

She informed him that she did not mind helping out when he was cooking though he shook his head and just continued, the girl was a guest and she had been through enough, she did not have to worry about cooking. Still plaguing the back of his mind was a small thought that he might have caused this and had he not been involved with the gang that she would never have been put in danger, this made him want to force himself to not be around her any longer but now they were both in too deep. Now that they had seen her with him she was a target and right now him leaving would be the best idea, though he wanted better for her. He did not want to be the one that was putting her life on the line. She deserved to be in a normal and functioning relationship. Though he would dismiss this until he knew for sure that it had been the work of the gang, even though he was almost positive since the intruders did not take anything and that usual reason for breaking into someones house was because you were desperate to sell something to make a little money, it were the homeless people that had nothing to lose and it would be a plus for them to be put in jail and given the chance to clean up from the drugs that ruled their life and to live in a place that had shelter and get 3 square meals a day. He did not allow himself to think about this though it would ruin his mood. He settled at the table within a couple of moments to sit and have breakfast with her. She told him that it was the vet that had been calling and he knew that she would want to leave to go get the dog the moment that they were finished eating so he made sure that he ate quickly and just settled the dishes on the edge of the counter, he would have plenty of time to get rid of them later. They stepped into the car and he held the passengers side door open for her. The drive did not seem to take long and it was nearly silent and he was able to feel the energy of the girl sitting beside him not being able to wait until they were to get to the vets office so that she would be able to have her dog back. He stood back when they arrived to give her some space though he listened to the directions that were given to her about the medications as well in case she forgot and within a couple of minutes they were back in the car and she announced that she had an interview that she had forgotten about. That is quite alright, I understand. When they arrived at her door he leaned across the car to kiss her goodbye. Pausing to make sure that she got into the house alright he restrained the urge to text her to make sure that there was no one left in the house, though he knew that she would call if she had any problems before he pulled away from the curb, though he bypassed the road that lead back to his house and followed the road in which her house was on back to the main road, memory failed him when he attempted to find the local haunt of the one person of the gang members that he actually trusted. Still just the thought of seeing someone a part of the gang again brought a sinking feeling in the pitt of his stomach. He parked the car around the side of the street where he knew that it would not be seen at a local grocery store before walking in the plain daylight along the street, not risking the back alleys and what might be lurking within their darkness. Hand was raised to knock on door but instead of a person answering the door there was a low groan. Brow raised slightly. Had he been a lot smarter he would have turned and walked the other direction but instead door was kicked open though he was sure to stand clear of the open frame, peering around the corner before moving into the grungy apartment. The thin haze of smoke radiated off the man slouched on the couch. Ian, are you alright? He asked and nothing but another groan was emitted. Yea... Wow Quinn is that you? He paused for a moment before continuing finally raising gaze to meet his. Everyone thinks you are dead, what are you doing here, you are free and clear why are you talking to me. Get out while you can. So that answered his question, the rest of the gang did think that he was dead therefore he was in the clear, though his heart ached to see his only friend in this state. He knew that something needed to be done. The reason he looked this way was because he refused to participate in the raid of Arden's house. Sticking up for the girl. They diverged into conversation getting lost with the time until his phone rang from his pocket and he answered telling the girl he would be there within a couple of minutes. I am sorry Ian I have to go, I will be back later though. I promise. The guy nodded and he stepped out the door again before walking briskly to the car. Her house was not far and he parked the car in the driveway before walking up the steps to knock on the front door.

Thought she did not show it, she was very afraid to open her door. Someone could have been hiding behind it for all she knew. Her fingers trembled slightly as she fiddled with the lock, breathing caught in her throat just because of the fear that was starting to become stronger. She swallowed the lump that had formed in her throat once the door opened and she discovered no one to be there. Yet, she still felt anxious as she walked through the house jumping slightly as she tripped and caused the broom to fall on the floor. She told herself that it was her own fault and finally walked normally through her house as she had just hours ago really. Before everything had happened. After the interview, she still was on the edge entering her house, turning the majority of the lights on and the radio on quietly in order to have a bit of noise to distract her. She could not live in her own home with a constant fear and new she would soon overcome it, it was just a temporary effect. A small sense of relief washed over the girl as he responded that he would be there soon. As much as she tried, she could not get the image of the clover nor the idea of the break in having to do with the gang. The gang then connecting with Quinn somehow. That was her main worry. There where so many what ifs to the situation, so many thoughts occurring to her and none of the endings were exactly positive. She became restless, busying herself to unnecessary work and trying to keep her mind contained. Her worries at bay somehow. How was she supposed to deal with this? She had no clue. The only thing she had learned from her mother was to run from her problems, exactly what they had done in moving here. And moving again, where would that get her? Nowhere. She was happy, and the area felt like home to her. No matter where you went, the past was just a thought away. It lurked beside you wherever you went. As for the few lessons she'd learned from her dad, they were mainly the basic rules, never had they been in any sort of crisis until that single night. She was at a complete loss, nowhere to go, nowhere to hide. And how to face such things? That got her thinking. Though she knew basically nothing of the gang, she knew she wanted them gone for good. If such a thing was possible. And who was to say that if she did succeed in such a deed that all members, including those no longer apart of the alliance would be taken as well. He refused to go to the hospital, so obviously there was a way of tracking such things, as well as the types that were not afraid to pass names around. There had to be a way to get out of this. She was pretty certain that such things did not have any sort of bargaining system. And what did she have to offer? Nothing. Maybe there was a way. She would just have to consider it more, do a bit of planning as well as more thinking. She just wanted him to be out, forever. Just like he'd said. That was her main goal. And to get there would not be the easiest thing to do, but she'd have to figure a way out. The knock on the door startled her, just focusing and zoning out. A deep exhale came from her, calming herself as to not show worry as she opened the door, smiling softly. Hi. Quiet tones spoke as she opened the door and stepped back, closing the door after he stepped into the house. She was tempted just to wrap her arms around him, but she considered that that gesture could give something away. She glanced towards the furniture and then back to him. Shall we? She asked, regretting saying it just in case he had been thinking over it as well. She wondered what thoughts had gone through his mind on the subject, if he had possibly established the connection as well. Stepping first towards the chair, before helping him turn it over to it's original position as best as she could. She wasn't totally helpless, she just was not able to do it by herself. It just doesn't make sense to me... Why waste their time? She muttered, half to herself as they then went to fixing the couch. Thankfully, that was basically the extent of her furniture in the living room and the only things they had specifically bothered with. Gaze flickered to his face, a weak smile across her expression. Thank you so much. She knew she was probably repeating her thanks too much to a point where he might find it annoying but she could not currently think of a proper way to explain to him how much she appreciated it. The heels of her feet left the ground as she leaned up to kiss him, arms linking behind his neck. The moment was not long, but she desired for the sort of bliss that came along with being in his presence would last forever. Though she knew all too well the reality of the phrase "Nothing gold can stay." As her lips were slowly pulled away from his, sapphires caught his expression, noticing he was tense. A small frown overtook her facade, the fears coming to corrupt her mind once more and she was worried he would catch on or explain something along the lines of the same thing she was thinking.

When he left the grungy apartment he knew that he was going to have to tell the girl that the gang was involved, he was not too sure how she would take it and he hated to admit that when he had told her that he was completely free from the gang he had been wrong. Ivories clamp on the inside of his lip in thought as he then pulled up to the curb and put the car in park before getting out and locking the door with the lights flashing in response. He then took a moment to gather his thoughts before hand was raised to knock on the door. When the girl arrived at the door he stepped into the house when she allowed him in. Drawing her into his arms and wrapping them around her before kissing her on the forehead and gently meeting her lips with his. Though he then turned serious to ask. How was the interview? But it was clear that her mind was elsewhere and he was almost positive that she already had known who was behind the act. He locked the door behind him so that it would be secure and he did not have to worry about another person being able to get in through it. I am sorry Arden. You do not deserve this. You deserve better. He started off by telling her this before he then moved on. I talked to one of them today, it was an initiation that went wrong, it was completely random though and the man ensured me that the gang still thinks I am dead. He paused for a moment. I don't know if he is telling me the total truth that it was random though but he is the one that I would trust the most. He was visibly troubled with the way that he kept shifting his weight back and forth and seeming jittery. He then stepped forward to start helping her put the house back together feeling as though it was all his fault. After forty minutes of flipping furniture back over and rearranging things in the house it was looking almost as though it had before the break in and he took a spot on the couch. If you want nothing to do with me ever again I understand. And for your sake I believe that is your best option, because even if I am completely clean from the gang there is never a gaurentee that something will not happen again. He leaned back against the couch and closed his eyes before turning back to her watching her expression.

He asked casually of her interview which had sort of slipped her mind. It was good. I think it was at least. She shrugged her shoulders, hoping it had gone well; but if it hadn't, she'd be alright. It was just another option, a better opportunity that had come along. She noticed he had locked the door but did not really think of it, it was just a safety precaution. She frowned as he apologized and said something about her deserving better. No. She said quietly, but confident as the syllable was spoken. She swallowed, shaking her head. Sometimes I wonder if I deserve anyone. I don't care if I don't deserve you, which I do not think is true in any way. She admitted, thinking more so that he could do much better than the nervous wreck he was with currently. He explained that he talked to one of them, which worried her, even though he then went on to say that it was a man in which he trusted the most. She doubted that trust was really what it was fed up to be when it came to the gang. After he finished speaking, she spoke up. I kind of figured that it had something to do with them... She admitted, looking to the carpet. She continued to talk as they rearranged the furniture. I found a cloverleaf, which I thought was strange. Then I remembered your tattoo... She bit the inside of her lip, thinking that it partially sounded like she was blaming him which she was not. But I knew it was not your fault. She sat crookedly on the couch in order to face him, tucking her legs beneath her with her shoulder pressed against one of the cushions. Head was shaken once more as he said something about her not wanting anything to do with him. That thought never crossed her mind, yet. It was not in her own plan of reality. She grabbed one of his hands, intertwining their fingers as she liked to do. Best option or not, I want you around me. She admitted in soft tones. Pausing as she sought out for the correct words, her gaze searching his own face. Life has no guarantees, for anyone. Words were murmured, squeezing his hand before letting it go. And if there are no guarantees in being with you, so be it. She had already been explained this in a sense the night he had gotten out of the gang and had accepted it then only to grow more attached and have the meaning become much worse. In the gang or not, I want to be with you, only if you feel the same way. Maybe he was trying to push her away on purpose, if so she was not quite understanding it. I know the horrors that could happen, and I'm not going to say I'm not afraid. I'm afraid for you. I'm terrified of them coming back for you. Palm was raised to press against his cheek, but it quickly fell to her lap because she was confused about their current terms and the action was not necessary.

Breathing deepened to the calm the male. He hated the fact that he had to bring her into chaos like this. She deserved more and she should know that, she did not need to be in a dysfunctional relationship with him. But he would not force that on her since he was growing more and more fond of the girl and enjoyed having her around as much as she would handle. Arden. Do not say that about yourself. You are beautiful, intelligent and honest, any guy would be extremely lucky to have you. He uttered to her, moving to be closer to her and taking her chin in his hands, placing fingers on cheeks and directing her gaze to meet his. She then spoke of finding the cloverleaf and she mentioned seeing his tatoo, the one part of his entire body that he was ashamed of. He already was thinking about making an appointment to get it removed depending on what the procedure would be like. When it came to medical he was a little bit of a wimp. Yes, that is their symbol. He assured her. He could barely supress the rage that built up within the man, he knew that this whole gang needed to come to an end though he would not risk the girl to be the one to do it. It might have been different before he had met her, he at that time had nothing to lose and it would be for a good feat. One that would ensure that other children would not be volunteered to join the ranks before they were even out of school in order to support their drug addicted parents. Most of that around here was not the case though since this was a better neighbourhood, the kids that joined here were rebels. Simply wanting a way to feel included in the bigger scheme of things thinking that it made them cooler, the aspect of earning a large wage tipping the scales in the direction which made them want to join. What they did not realize was that it was something that was going to affect them for the rest of their very short life. Just by joining the gang you shortened your life by at least half, few people made it into their late thirties. There was no possibilty for family since any girl in their right mind would not want to be dragged into the lifestyle of their husband or boyfriend being hopped up on different drugs and many time not even coming home in the evening. The prospect of them getting shot or killed always was an unspoke fear. This part was all over for him though. He would not allow them to rule his life. He did his time, repaid the debts and got out of the gang fair and square. It may not be directly my fault though I am sure the odds of this happening without us having met would have been a lot lower. He informed her, which he knew was true since the moment that he was seen with her it was as if they put her on their radar. She reached out for one of his hands and wound hers within the fingers of her own before speaking again about wanting him to be around her whether or not it was the best choice. Well then I hope you will allow me to do all in my power to protect you. Because I want nothing more then to be with you. He told her gently. She then went on to tell him that there were no gaurentees in life. This was true. Though there was less likelihood of being attacked by a shark if you stuck to the shallow water, if you were out in the deep water with a piece of chicken attached to your leg you were doing nothing but tempting fate, and this is what was happening regarding them and the gang. I do feel the same, you are the person who gave me the strength to free myself from the gang that night. Without the prospect of being with you I would never have had the courage to admit I wanted out. She did not seem to be as confident anymore as if she thought that he was trying to get out of their relationship. He then shifted across the couch to come closer to her and palms support her rib cage as he pulled her into his lap. Gentle kisses pressed to the girls cheek as arms rested firmly around her. Lips met the space just behind her ear. They will not come for me. They have no use for me anymore. Knowing I am not loyal to them would be more dangerous for them then just to leave me. Believe me or not they are true to their word when you are out, that is the end. There is a man that lives around here who is the only other survivor of an ordeal like my own and he says they have not come back once. He whispered. But enough about this, this is not something that you have to worry about. I will take care of it. He murmered to her. Chin resting on her shoulder with a deep sigh. Promise me though that you and Chloe will come stay with me for another couple days so I can be sure that all of this is worked out.

She never really considered the idea of who deserved who, more so in the terms of her own relationships. She had always head the saying "opposites attract" which did not match up with the idea of people deserving each other. She had come to the decision that if it was meant to be, then it would happen. Things always happened for a reason, even if we did not understand exactly why. His next words caused her to blush, gaze falling to the carpet until his hands softly held her face. She sighed softly, closing her eyes for a moment. But there's nothing wrong with you.... In her eyes, he was compassionate, smart, and godlike in appearance. Yet he was so negative about himself due to his involvement which was not even his fault. He hadn't had a choice, he'd been born into it basically. The Quinn I know, the one I want is sweet, brilliant, and sexy, much more than that. That's the one I see every time I look at you now. She admitted, surprised with her own confidence as she told him the truth, face slightly flushed. She had grown very attached to him, he meant a lot to her and she was not going to allow him to disappear because he insisted there was someone better for her out there. Out there, it was a shark tank. The conflict between Quinn and the gang was more dangerous; a mixture of sharks, piranhas, and electric eels more like, but she wanted to stand by him. She nodded silently as he confirmed that the figure was the symbol of the gang. Basically everything she had found out was true based on what he had informed her. At least she knew the just of what had happened, which could be a good thing rather than being left in the dark completely. His next statement was probably undeniably true, about how the possibility of such a thing happening being a lot less if they had not met.But it was done, over with, there was nothing they could do now. Sapphire pools searched his face as he told her in turn that he wanted more than nothing to be with her and that he wanted to do everything he could to protect her. She wished he did not have to think that he needed to protect her, but she could not say otherwise really. Only if you think it is necessary... She mumbled quietly, unsure of this idea since she seemed like the biggest danger to herself. Though she knew the gang worried him, it was not hard to tell, especially after the break in. She met his gaze, looking away as he told her she was the reason in which he had intentions to break from the alliance. A lonely tear ran down her cheek, hair creating a curtain around her face as looked away from him. That told her how special she was to him, and she was having a hard time believing this again. Breath was caught in her throat as he pulled her closer to him, his lips being brushed tenderly against her cheek. Comforting words were whispered into her ear, only to send shivers down her spine at how close they were. She was told not to worry and left the subject at that, closing her lids as his chin was rested upon her shoulder. A slow breath was exhaled before she answered his request.Yes, only if you're not sleeping on the damn couch, and I am allowed to do things. Otherwise I'll go stir crazy. Lyrics murmured stubbornly, opening her eyes as she let her own lips press against his cheek. She would much rather be at his house knowing that he was there over being alone and freaking out at every little noise in her own home. But right now, I really don't want to move. She uttered softly, sighing in contentment. She couldn't imagine it of being anymore perfect for her.Her mind had wandered simply to them, the disturbing thoughts dismissed for the current time. A knock at the door was what disturbed her, she became very tense before relaxing as a familiar voice called out. It's just the neighbor. She reassured him as she reluctantly broke from his embrace. Light steps were taken towards the door, unlocking it and opening it to reveal her neighbor, Bridgett. The older lady handed her a plate of cookies, rambling on about her condolences and how if there was anything that the girl needed, to just call her. A brief thanks was given before the door was shut and locked once again. The paper plate was offered in his direction, shaking her head slightly. They should be edible. She's a little crazy, but she cares. A small shrug was given before setting the plate down in the kitchen and calling out to him. I'll grab some of my things. Various clothes were packed, a pair of pajama pants and a larger t-shirt were stuffed in as well, making sure not to forget anything. She knew it was not far from her house and that it was only for a few days, but she did not want to have to bother with running back and forth because she had forgot something simple. Bag was placed near the door way so she would not forget it, she also placed the small bag of dog food there as well, and she then went to sitting on the couch besides him. Can I cook you dinner tonight? Quiet vocals asked hesitantly, she was not exhausted this time so she would be fully capable to keep track of what she was doing if he would allow her to do so.

When she told him that she thought that he was sweet, brilliant and sexy she had caught him off guard. She seemed to shy to indulge in a compliment like that but it warmed the sinking feeling of dread that had settled in his gut for the past couple of hours. He did not feel the same about himself though he was not about to argue with her. It was a worthless fight since people are entitled to their own opinions. When she finished her statement the blood rushed to her cheeks causing them to redden he pretended as if he did not notice to ensure that he did not extend her embarrassment. The gang to him was easy to deal with, their motives were easy to see, their ideas never lay that low below the surface. Yes, they were dangerous and men that were so broken that they had nothing to lose but, the key was to always make sure that they needed something from you because if you were disposable you better watch to make sure that they did not stab you in the back. He would never have to deal with them in that manner though, he would never be tied to them again. When he told her that he wanted to protect her and that would include her staying with him she looked as though she was going to protest before she thought better of it and gave in telling him, only if he thought that it was really needed. And it was something that he was adamant about so head was dipped in a nod. A small smile appearing on his lips. Eyes met hers for a moment before she was pulled into his lap and body rested close to him. She had her own terms though she was intent on making him promise that he was not sleep on the 'damn couch' and to let her do some things. Ok its a compromise. He agreed with a deep chuckle. Her lips met his cheek and small smile appeared as a warm expression crossed his face. She then informed him that as of the moment she did not want to move, he had to agree. Me either. Deep vocals utter close to her ear knowing warm breath would brush against the girls neck. But soon a knock on the door was heard and he tensed a little but he was not all that startled. If it was a member of the gang there was no way that they would have knocked, they would have either busted right through the front door as if they owned the place or snuck in through the back door. So when she told him not to worry he smiled. He did not comment though eyes did wander to the door when she arrived and handed Arden the plate full of cookies. Interest was sparked and as soon as the lady was gone he joined her where she stood wrapping his arms around her waist from behind and resting his chin on her shoulder once more. Cookies from a crazy woman? My luck is not that good already I don't know if the risk is worth it. He said light heartedly. When she told him that she was just going to gather some of her things he nodded lightly and allowed his arms to fall back to his sides as she moved around the house. He took a spot on the couch as he had been before. Waiting patiently for her to return. When she walked into the hallway of the front door and was filling a bowl full of food for the dog, when they reached the door and he presumed that they were going to be able to leave he looked over to her when she spoke a small request asking if she would be able to cook dinner for them tonight. Of course. He told her gently suddenly glad that he had been able to grocery shopping the day before yesterday and his fridge and pantry was stocked full of food. When she had grabbed the dog he then carried all her stuff out to the car. Knowing she would probably want to take her own car so that she would be able to leave and come as she wished and if she needed to go to work he met her at her door and placed the supplies inside before a lingering kiss was left on her lips. I will meet you there. He told her before disappearing to his drivers side door and unlocking the door of the car to climb in and fasten his seatbelt. The drive was short in which he parked in front of her in the driveway and allowed her the space to park behind him before stepping out again to lead her into the house.

His idea of protecting her made her somewhat confused, but she was definitely not going to deny him of it if it made him relaxed. Plus, she liked the idea of having him as her 'protector' in a sense even though she already felt safe around him. There was a good chance that he would be around more as well. She was very pleased once he agreed to her terms if she was going to stay at his house. Every time he spoke, she felt the warm air near her ear and it caused her skin to tingle. He stated that he did not want to move either and she was perfectly content. It seemed like a common occurrence that when things were going well that something interrupted them. Thankfully the interruption was not any more bad news, just another person who wanted to help though there was not an exact way to. The presence of is arms around her waist again was comforting, leaning slightly against his frame. She crossed her own arms atop his, A small laugh erupted from her chords as he said something about his luck not being very good. That makes two of us. She said before she went about the house to grab her stuff. They both had their fair share of bad luck, which was indeed evident. And it seemed as though when the two of their luck was combined things could be disastrous, but she had her doubts on that as well. She realized that in a way the gang had brought them together, but she still wished he would have not had to have gone through the whole ordeal, even if it was the difference of them meeting or not. His life would have been better from the start, and she would have survived with or without knowing him.But now, she was attached and he was free. She was happy when he approved of her request and she had already decided upon what she was going to cook. The girl returned with her canine only to notice that Quinn had disappeared, as well as her things. She walked back to lock the sliding door, thinking that it was a feeble attempt seeing as anyone who wanted in really badly would either break through it or a window with little issue. The front door was locked as well as she stepped onto the front porch. A small thanks was spoken before he kissed her again, leaving her a bit dazed for a moment. He told her that he would meet her there and she nodded, putting the dog carrier in her car and briefly rethinking what she had packed. Key was placed in the ignition as she figured that she would probably remember what she forgot when she needed it, if anything. The drive back to his house was short as usual, her car being parked behind his. She was able to carry her bag as well as the dog's crate at the same time as she followed him to the house. Is there anywhere that I need to put Chloe? I understand if you don't want her wandering around the house. She knew the dog would not be moving much in the next few days but she did not want to invade his personal space. Shoes were left at the door as she slipped out of them, looking to him for guidance as to where to put her things. They were placed where he directed her to, placing the dog's kennel off to the side so it would not be in the way. The dog was sleeping again, which was not a surprise seeing as the medication would have taken effect. A gentle sigh eased from her as she stepped towards him. I'll go make dinner. She murmured, arms looping around his neck and softly pressing her lips to his. She quickly stepped back, always worrying about getting too carried away when it came to him. She usually was not so fragile when it came to such things, but it all depended on who she was with. And he someone had managed to make her lose her conscience at times, not that she was going to openly admit it. Quickly she focused her attention on something besides him, walking to the kitchen only to glance back to ask if he needed water or anything.Once she looked back to where she was going, a quick side step was taken, barely avoiding the wall. Strides were lengthened, clearly embarrassed by almost having run face first into the wall. That would have been interesting, teeth clamped on the inside of her mouth as she grabbed out a glass and got herself a cup of water. She was not entirely familiar with which pantry held which and where things were and she knew she would need his assistance finding ingredients. Quinn? Lyrics called, glancing around the kitchen with her hands poised on her hips as she admitted defeat and stepped towards the living room.

He felt already a lot more at ease knowing that she would be under the same roof as him for the next couple days where he would be able to figure things out. As they arrived at his house he grabbed her bag of clothes for her before allowing her to just carry the dog into the house. He unlocked the door and instantly flicked the light switch on before removing his shoes and putting them by the door and waiting for her to step into the house. As she did so the door was closed and the latch on it was slid to the locked position. This way he at least felt a little better knowing that no one would be sneaking in the door without at least having to make a large noise before they entered. Though he did know that there were other ways in which they would be able to enter the house. Why he was getting paranoid all of a sudden he was not too sure since the likelihood of any of this happening was not very high. Though it was different when it had just been him in which the threat had been placed on. He was able to handle it but now he felt as though it was out of his control since it was the girl in which he was growing increasingly fond of, she was innocent therefore did not need to be involved in something silly like this. She placed the dog crate on the ground and he noticed that the dog was still sleeping, which was good since he knew that the animal needed to recover and the only way that was going to happen was if it rested. When she asked if there was any special place she needed to put the dog his head was shook. She is fine to roam, I made sure when I got the place that it was a landlord that allowed animals. I was intending to get a dog but I never got around to it since I never knew for sure if I would be coming back at night. He stated truthfully with a small sigh. He felt her arms wrap around his neck and lips were pressed briefly to his and as she stepped away he want to grab her arm and cause her to stop and turn back to him in order to deliver a proper kiss though he stopped himself. After she moved in the direction of the kitchen he followed getting sidetracked when he spotted his mail and sifted through the letters and various bills that had arrived that day. Seeing nothing of interest he then heard her call in his direction. He stepped into the kitchen with a brow raised to find her looking a little flustered and as if she was trying to search for something. Yes? He asked playfully before closing the distance between the two of them and stepping behind her to wrap his arms around her waist. He then dropped his arms to help her find what she was looking for in the way of pots and pans and show her around the kitchen so that she would be able to cook. He quite liked the set up of the place in which he had rented since it was brand new he had been able to arrange most of it himself when he moved in and the kitchen was large which was nice since he loved to cook and most of it was very open where you could seen into the living room and other rooms. Once she was set up he then moved to one of the drawers and got out two small bowls filling one with water and leaving the other empty before walking back into the bedroom where she had placed the dogs crate on the ground, he would allow her to sort through her bag to get the food out though he placed the clean water on the ground beside the crate. He then stepped back through the hallway into the kitchen to stand back just out of her way and lean back against the counter head tilted watching her. Oh and I almost forgot to tell you. I got the spot at the clinic. I have to share it with another practioner but it is still nice and close.

A small smile crossed her features as he stated that the dog was fine to roam about the house, head dipping in a silent nod. Teeth clamped upon the inner tissue of her lip, glancing down at the floor as he explained that he had been wanting to get a dog but had not seeing as he was never sure if he would return or not. She silently reminded herself once again that he was there, free of that threat to take his life at any time basically. Again she was reminded that there were never any guarantees in life, but she still wished there were. She looked up to meet his gaze again and nodded silently. And now would you still want one? She asked, just plainly curious. He was not at all taken aback by the small kiss which made her feel a bit more confident. A quiet hum rang from the girl as she tried to determine her plan of attack for the idea of dinner. Decision was made based on the fact that it was simple and easy, and supposedly she could cook it well according to those who had tried it. I need some help, please. She mumbled sheepishly, but loud enough for him to hear her response. Strong arms were wrapped around her waist not long after she had asked for him to join her. Head was leaned back against his shoulder, gazing up at him with an exasperated sigh and putting out her lower lip into a small pout. As he showed her where the pots and pans were located, shirt was straightened self-consciously. A quiet thanks was mumbled as she pulled out a smaller pot as well as a medium sized one. She paused a moment, tilting her head as he filled a bowl with water. It took her a minute before she understood, biting her lip slightly at her own mistake. Thanks. She said quietly, gesturing towards the bowls. The bigger pot was filled with water and a lid was placed upon it as she set it above the heat on the stove. It would take a moment to boil, so she quickly grabbed the bag of dog food from her things and poured a bit of it into the empty bowl. Upon returning, she found the water to have come to a slow boil and added a fair amount of pasta after a few more moments. She found a jar of alfredo sauce in the cupboard and added that into the smaller pot, as well as a cup of milk and some garlic. She found what appeared to be leftover chicken in the fridge. I would assume this is still good? She teased, eying it suspiciously for a moment. Once she knew it was still edible, she sliced the remnants up and mixed it in with the sauce. The contents were stirred over the heat and left to rest as she checked the noodles to find out they needed more time. She briefly remembered the times when she was little and testing to determine whether the noodles were done or not consisted of throwing them at the wall and seeing if they stuck, but now all she did was simply try one. A few pieces of bread were covered in a light layer of butter, adding some garlic seasoning before letting them brown in a pan. Focus returned to him as he spoke again, smiling at the news he told her. That's fantastic. I'm sure you'll do great. Things were really looking up for him and she was happy to see that. Two plates were brought out fromthe cupboards once everything was deemed finished. Voilà, chicken alfredo. Help yourself, though you might be testing your luck by eating it. She teased gently. I should have done something a bit more extravagant to celebrate, but I'm not exactly confident with my own experimenting yet. She admitted truthfully. She enjoyed cooking, but it was a lot of trial and error for her at times. Thus why she had cooked something she knew pretty well and found it hard to mess up. She was trying hard to be perfect for him, even if it was with the stupidest things. When do you start working at the clinic? A napkin was placed over her lap after sitting down at the table. Long blond locks were placed over her left shoulder as to not get in the way while she ate.

He had always thought that when he would settle within his life a little more that he would get a German Shepard or another kind of large dog. He was active enough that he would be able to take it with him on the jogs and when he talked to the owners of the house they had told him that they would love to have a dog around since it was less likely that houses would get broken into when they knew that there was a large dog in the backyard. He was not too sure now since he knew that with the clinic he would not have enough time to dedicate to an animal and he would have to see what was going on with his life before he made that decision. I am not too sure, I suppose with time I will see. The rest of the conversation was dismissed as he walked into the kitchen to assist her with the cooking. He did not want to allow himself to take over though so he made sure just to show her what she needed and then step back to fill the bowl of water for the dog and to set it up so that the animal would have some food. She then looked through the fridge to find some of the chicken that he had made the night before last and he nodded when she asked if it was still alright. Already the food smelt wonderful and he knew that he would like the girls cooking. The food was close to being done and he assumed that it would be alright with her if he set the table with the plates and glasses and cutlery before then settling leaning against the counter and watching the girl as she finished up the food and announced that it was chicken alfredo. Yum, it looks fabulous. I am too spoiled. He told her with a small smile before then sitting at the table and resting against the chair and waiting for her to put the food on the dish before then doing the same for himself. She then asked him when he would be starting at the clinic. Next week. The beginning of December would be when he would be starting so that they could start fresh. For the next week he would be trying to build up a small amount of clientele and book some appointments to keep him busy in the first week. So far his education started to be paying off and even though it had been horribly tough when he had been juggling between school and the gang and other activities it had been worth it. He was extremely polite and placed his napkin in his lap as well before tasting the food. It tastes great, Arden. He uttered gently meeting her eyes across the table with a small smile. The food was finished within a matter of minutes and he waited until she was finished as well before taking both the plates to the sink and filling it full of hot water. So do you have to work tomorrow? Or do you have a day off or do I have to convince my amazing girlfriend to spend the day with me? He asked with a sly smile. He wanted to see the girls expression as he then looked back to the table to where she was sitting one corner of his mouth turned up in a smirk. He quickly washed the plates and cutlery before then washing the pot. He was a typical guy and if he did not wash the dishes the moment that they were made he would end up leaving them in the sink and putting them off until they were green and looking as though they were growing their own legs. He did not want to scare the girl off like that although he was sure that if he was to scare her off he would have done that long ago with the things that had been going on in his life when she had met him. When he was finished he walked up to the back of her chair and placed his hands on either of her shoulders before bending down and kissing her cheek. Would you be interested in going for a walk? I looked outside and it looks like its snowing. He was like a little kid when it came to snow and the light dusting that had happened the night before was not enough for his liking though now it seemed to be coming down with a little more substance and starting to stick to the road and form a little more of wintery appearance. He knew that he should get changed into a little warmer of clothes though and headed into his bedroom to grab a hoody to throw over his shirt, the ralph lauren zip up accenting the polo shirt of the same brand that he had already been wearing all day long. He then placed a waterproof jacket over top and headed towards the door allowing her to use the room to change and not be in the way. He slipped his shoes on before opening the door to assess how cold it was outside. Palms were shoved into his pockets and strides were long as they carried towards the sidewalk. The snow was glistening beneath the yellowish light that cast a glaze over the terrain. Hand reached out to the girls to entwine with digits as they walked. He did not tell her that this was not just an aimless wander, he had a destination in mind that would make a great dessert. The kids in the neighbourhood seemed to be taking advantage of the snow and knowing that they would have a snow day tomorrow since they were all out and seemed to be having a large snowball fight in their back yard. When one went amiss it almost looked as though he was going to get hit by the clump of snow, which caused the kids to look a little fearful though a small smile was offered in the name of the game and he bent at the waist to put a snowball together and to gently toss it in their direction not wanting to hit any incase he ended up hurting someone it ended up 5 feet short of the kid that had been throwing it. A small chuckle was deep within his throat as he then carried on. The lights from the shop windows were stunning against the falling flakes and they rounded a corner where the houses seemed to stop and then it turned into small cafes and bakeries and a humble looking little village. There was one café that looked quite busy and he caught the door as someone walked in before them. Well I can’t top the meal that we just had but at least I can add dessert. He told her with a small smile. They have the best Cinnamon Buns and cookies here. He stepped up to order her what she wanted and then himself a cinnamon bun then to pay with a bill that was produced from his back pocket. As they waited arms were wrapped around her neck and kiss was pressed to her forehead.

There was a small amount of worry that the meal would be a mess, but she kept silently reassuring herself that it would be fine, just like every other time she had done it. Again, she was worrying too much over simple things. Once the food was nearly finished, she turned to find him already setting the table and she was fine with it seeing as she had gotten to cook as she requested. She returned the smile confidently as he told her that it looked fabulous which she did think it looked rather good as well. She nodded as he explained that he would be starting the job within a week which she knew meant it would take a small toll on the amount of time they would be able to spend together, but she was fine with it seeing as it was something that was part of life. She took a bite of the simple meal and was pleased with her self, smiling as he told her that it was great. Either that, or you're just really hungry. Teasing lyrics rang in a light tone. They both finished the food rather quickly, a quiet thank you was mumbled as he took the plate from her. Body was shifted in the chair, feet hitting the floor on the left side as she leaned a bit against the back rest with her shoulder. She almost volunteered to do the dishes but he also seemed to be the type who liked to be busy as well so she did not protest. She was speechless after he spoke again, mouth opening to form a small 'o' for a moment before she glanced at the floor and shuffled her feet, shrugging. I'm supposed to work tomorrow... She mumbled quietly, not at all looking forward to waking up hours before the sun rose. But now she was reconsidering seeing as she would much rather sleep in and enjoy the few extra hours with her boyfriend. I haven't called in sick for while.... She mumbled, glancing up to him with a mischievous expression as she considered. But I'm pretty sure you're going to have to do some convincing for this 'amazing girlfriend' of yours. She arched a brow slightly, silently astonished at her own confidence around him. It was nice to be comfortable and not as embarrassed at what she was saying. She glanced over at her shoulder as she noticed the presence of his hands, inclining her head to glance up at him. A soft sigh of content was exhaled as he kissed her cheek, lids fluttering to a close for a few seconds. He then asked if she wanted to go on a walk, saying that it appeared to be snowing. She agreed stating that she would loved to and stood up. After he had changed, she slipped a navy Aeropostale sweatshirt over her head and grabbed her coat. Shoes were slipped onto her feet before stepping out the door behind him. As they walked along the sidewalk, she watched the snowflakes dance through the air near the luminous lights of the street lamps. She had grown to appreciate the snowfall of the area, having been raised with years of Christmases that were rather damp and dreary, rain was basically the forecast twenty-four-seven in Seattle. Curiosity at where they were heading came to her, yet she did not ask because she thought there was no real destination and enjoyed the element of surprise. A smile crossed over the girl's features when he reached for her hand and intertwined their fingers. Sapphires flickered about the small neighborhood to watch a group of kids having a snow ball fight, something she had experienced very few times. The path of one of the snowballs was a bit overthrown and it nearly hit the man beside her, but he played along and tossed one in their direction. A quiet laugh echoed from her chords, shaking her head slowly and glancing over once more to watch the kids with curiosity. I love winter here. She murmured, attention drifting back to the flakes of snow as they descended from the sky. It was not overly cold, nor was the ground covered in ice. And before they would know, Christmas would come and go. The surroundings changed around them and she noticed the structure of the buildings had switched from houses to small businesses, it reminded her of something that may have been seen in a movie. He led the way into a rather busy little bakery type place, the smells drifting from the kitchen where delightful. Gaze wandered up to him as he spoke of how he could not beat the dinner but he would take care of dessert. Hm. I'm glad you liked it.But now, I think I'm awfully spoiled as well. She uttered softly with a genuine smile. She ordered a cinnamon bun as well, watching him pay with silent guilt present in her mind. She did not liked to have herself paid for, but she knew he was just being gentlemanly and he insisted on it for the most part. A quiet thank you was still murmured to him. Once their orders were placed, she had his arms wrapped around her neck, leaning into him slightly as he kissed her temple. Lids were closed as she mumbled to him. You're going to make the other girls jealous. But she made no attempt to move from his embrace. She doubted anyone was paying attention to them, and if they were she actually did not really care. Their orders were called quickly but she was still reluctant to break from his arms. Upon handing him his cinnamon bun, she tilted her head for a moment, thinking. You know, I don't think spending the day with you tomorrow would be too horrible, but I am still considering. She teased lightly, though her decision was already made, she was just conjuring up a way to call in sick and sound sick at the same time. She had never been the best actor in anything, seeing as she was a horrible liar. Whenever she tried to say a lie, her voice changed to a higher pitch and it was really annoying. So she had found it out to be better not to lie in the first place, yet she had narrowly managed to do so a few times, never anything terrible though. This is really good. She commented after taking a bite of the bun. After they finished their dessert, she led the way out, spotting a bench that was under a gazebo and free from the falling snow. She grabbed his hand and dragged him along with her, sitting on the bench and gazing out into the falling snow. Head was rested gently on the male's shoulder, humming softly. I wish life was like this all the time; the definition of bliss. Words were spoken under a slow exhale.
