Niravadhi::Orbs open swiftly, pupils contracting as shutters slide back, oculars scanning the slope below me as the challenge echoes through the cavern. Within the instant, pillars stand vertically, muscles taut, as no answering sound is made. Thus, suspicion is confirmed, for the feline creature that had voiced its anger was not facing another of its kind. Even while my own kill is pulled into the back recesses of the cave and covered with the moss we had slept on to dampen the scent, mind works feverishly to piece together the meagre information of the whereabouts of the cougar. Upon entering into the sunlight once more, dome tilts towards the ground, searching the scent that still lingered upon my pelt. Nares flare, carefully combing through the myriad of scents, until Dris’ is determined, and padders immediately follow her course, scenter pressed close to the ground, making sure as not to lose the trail. Barely registering on where the maiden had gone, pistons move swiftly, covering ground with ease, sending pebbles skittering down the hillside in my haste. Skidding to a halt as another cry pierces the air, a battle cry of my kind, answering the challenge, my heart leaps into my mouth, nausea settling over me. It was not only fear that something could happen to Dris, for I believed her more than capable to hold her own, at least for a time. Yet I hoped dearly that her pride would not stop her from taking her leave prematurely if the odds turned against her. Strides hurry forwards once more, the mountainside and sky blurring together into a dismal colour wheel in my haste to reach the one creature I had begun to care about. As I slide across the loose stones, front padder begins to sting in protest, swelling beginning to increase as continued strain is placed upon it. Growling angrily at the nuisance an injury provided, and berating myself for not having been more careful, I push all thoughts from my mind, burying the discomfort under the anxiety that was beginning to consume me. Where was Dris? I come to a halt, searching feverishly for her scent. Yet I cannot find it. A sharp bark of annoyance is emitted, patience rapidly fading in the advance of my nerves. Body weaves backwards and forwards, searching the ground of the slightest indication of the maiden’s passing. Running one direction, halting, scenting nothing, running the other, halting, scenting nothing, and running yet again. Finally, the elements take pity on me, a slight breath of wind sending me the smallest scent of Dris. Latching onto the next clue, like a leech to a wound, I set off at a gallop, passing through a wooded area I had never really explored, scenter constantly sending new information to my intellect, altering the course of my mad dash. Suddenly the scent intensifies, mingling with the scent of cougar and underlined with the sweetness of blood, and I slow immediately, not wishing to cannon into the disagreement and cause harm to either Dris or myself... Logic happily puts information together, gathering that prey had been killed, and both wolf and cat wanted to take the prey. Brow creases as nothing is heard in the trees before me. Silent, a slate shadow ghosts across the land, knowing with certainty what lay just around the bend before me, yet not knowing what I would find. Perhaps no sound was good sound. For I knew that Dris would not go down without a fight and yet, the silence was eerie; pressing in upon me as the scents danced around each other. Dris, blood, cougar, blood, cougar, Dris, blood, Dris. On and on, until I feel as though the world is spinning around me, my stomach lurching. Crown shakes harshly, pistons working once again, bringing my structure closer to the small patch of land where the two rivals stood. Reaching the boundary between being hidden, and being seen, I peer through the branches of the shrub that separated us. Tan faces ebonite, a carcass tossed to the side as the two glare at each other. I bite my lip, unsure of whether to go to Dris, or simply wait and watch until something occurred……or I could catch the cat’s attention. I sigh softly, hating the position. Finally, my stubborn streak urging me to make sure nothing happened to Dris pushes me forward, slender figure brushing through the brush, as bodice drops into a crouch, jaws parting to allow a low growl to pass through. Suddenly a new idea takes me, and I shoot backwards, before the growl leaves my throat properly, glad that I was downwind of the pair. Keeping low, I scuttle around the edge of the clearing, before creeping back into the clearing, a small smile upon my lips at seeing the feline swinging its head back towards Dris after having looked at the place I had been previously. Walking into the clearing with a confident air that belied the knots growing in my stomach, I cleared my throat, standing by the ram’s carcass. Ehm. Good day to you. Sorry to interfere, but I’ll just….clean up here. Small grin is flashed towards the cougar, orbs cold chips of rock as they watch the tan figure carefully. Without another word, I grasp the carcass, and begin dragging it behind me, inching sideways so as to keep the feline in sight, but not look as though I wanted to start a fight.

Dris()Adrenaline heightened senses flare, the scent of another known creature creeping into the area flowing into nostrils. For a moment, mind is completely blank as to the owner of the aura, the strategies of war repeating over and over within her mind having drained it of any other information except what was essential to battle. Then, the odor finally registers and emotions ignite, the urge to glance around and know of the other's position for safety purposes almost causing her to break position and open the wolven up to an easily delivered offensive. Knives ground together as irritation at not being able to find out where the drake stood merely added to the flame, forcing the fatal to teeter on the edge of sanity even more than she usually did. Distress did not last long, however, a growl coming from a space even with her right flank announcing the arrival of the hunter. Suddenly, a possessive need to keep the duke from the fight raged within her, the want to snap at him as if he were some little pup that needed to be taught manners almost pushing her to do it, only the knowledge of who her fellow wolven was keeping the damsel in check. Relief flooded her figure as the male backed up, apparently having decided to stay out of the altercation. Gratefulness at his actions still found its way within the lass as the snarl happened to be just enough to drawl the cat's visionaries away from the huntress, a devilish smile pulling happily across lips while hinds coil and propel her forward, fangs flashing and claws reaching for skin. The aroma of fresh blood floods the area suddenly while the pain filled cry of a lion broke out into the still morning air, the sweet tasting liquid seeping into both creature's mouths, its warmth and texture sending triumphant chills along the Evil Angel's whole padders carried her decisively out of the way of retaliation, orbs sparkling with enjoyment at the painful gash she had marred the tan hide with. Then, the rustling of some frees coming from the opposite side of Dris catching her attention again, drawling both of the slayer's minds for a few moments. Pools recognize the form immediately as roan tint shuffles between bushes, making his way towards the caress. The plan he has in mind quickly flashes through her own and slight rage wells up inside of her, the lession last night's dream taught her forgotten now that the vixen faced a situation that had always been handled one way: either the maiden won the kill herself or she lost it and went hungry for a day or perhaps two. Never did she work with another to gain substance, feeling the notion to be underhanded and stealthy rather than honorable and testing her skills. Muscles reacted involuntarily as the cougar moved towards the other varg, its beady pair now watching the drake and not paying a lick of attention to the lady. Vicious snarl emits from frame, drawling the feline's attention at the last minute, an expression of pure horror settling upon the beige features. Parted jaws are thrust around neck as it tilted sideways to grasp at the other's life source, razors sharp and coming into contact with flesh. Another cry came from the puma, this one of higher intensity and telling of more agony than any could think of. This yell for mercy ended in bubbling tunes as crimson gushed forth from throat, splashing all over the ebonite pelted fea who stood above her failed opponent. Jowls had found the perfect spot, ripping wind pipe and esophagus easily from the skeletal while brakes were applied quickly, giving the beast's force a little more pop. With the animal now dead and its carcass lying upon the ground at the countess' mittens, focus turned towards the lord. At first, stones were hard and unforgiving as she stepped forth, rows of pearls grabbing hold of the goat's figure and wrenching it from his grasp. The original kill was then placed carefully on top of the dead cougar before leggings spun frame around until she faced the way she came; now facing down Niravahi. Choppy strides brings her before him, slightly judgmental look dangling on by a thread within steel liquids before a sigh emits and dome drops, finding it impossible to remain angry at the baron. You should not have interfered, Niravadhi. Scolding lyrics tell him while gaze drifts back upward catching his before muzzle lurched forward and plasma stained ribbon flickered out to run over his nostrils, an affectionate gesture to end the talk. Although, it was nice to not have to work as much at getting a meal like usual, even if I do enjoy activity quite often and allowing you to do so is something different from what I have always done. Sigh escaped parted kissers and vision dropped again, a small, confused paused following before explaining. Mother would never allow us to hunt in packs or even in groups. Hindquarters spun as she moved to press against the side of him, wanting the warmth of his stature to mingle with hers once again. Crown nuzzled his nape gently, hoping she had not been too harsh with her reprimands on interrupting her hunting. Lids lid past orbs and reveal them to the world, glance being taken to the pile of meat not far from them and stomach growled but organ protested, too comfortable for the dame to want to leave. Snout jerked towards it, indicating where all the food was. Did you have much luck catching? If not, mine is welcome. It is too lonely to eat alone. Chuckles emit at easy pace, Anatomy wiggling closer to his while she awaits the male to take the first step, not a common occurrence.

Niravadhi::I had not moved far, before the feline slid into action, causing me to angle my body slightly so I was head on once more, bodice dropping easily into a crouch, orbs watching the cat carefully. Yet before I had even readied myself to do anything, the merest flicker of onyx catches my attention for the shortest of time intervals. Small smile flashes upon my features, as I remain motionless, watching the cat, but not making another move. Even as it stood before me, ready to cast a killing blow, its attention was drawn away at the harsh tones released by the huntress. As Dris moves forward, I rise slowly out of my crouch, still alert in case of some unforeseen situation arising. Thus, I watched the battle silently, expressionless mask sliding across my features, orbs empty, as I watched the tan figure crumple slowly as its life’s blood left his body to sicker into the ground beneath him. I remained frozen, watching the entire scene in a numb kind of horror. Yet perhaps I should have seen it coming. There had always been a slightly dark aura about her. And there was no denying the excitement the maiden had felt when she had firstly attacked the cougar, and then later killed it. Did I really want to be tied to a varg who enjoyed causing pain and death? Mind turns in frantic cartwheels, spinning wildly until intellect threatened to shut down. Limbs snap together beneath me, torso falling towards the ground, and hitting it hard at impact. Deep breath is taken, orbs shutting to help my focus on calming myself, allowing a blanket of numbness to settle over my mind for a moment, before a reasoned argument was placed forward. Yes, I may not agree with the killing of another creature if it was not for prey. And yet. Would the cougar have spared the life of its opponent? I highly doubted so. Perhaps it was just life, and I was the oddity, too restricted by my moral values. A feeling of hopelessness wells within me, no longer knowing what to think, or what to do. Paws suddenly slide out from before me as the ram is pulled away harshly, causing sapphires to flash open and watch Dris place one carcass on top of the other. As harks pick up spoken tones, I scramble to my feet, looking at the blood-dipped onyx figure before me, mask still coldly indifferent as I tried to process everything and failing. The only thing registering, the harsh tones that almost caused me to wheel about and run off, heedless of the consequences. Yet before instinct could free itself from its prison in my mind, the fae steps forward, a flash of moist warmth running across my nose, before more lyrics reach my lobes, intellect struggling to make sense of the words, as it still battled with the debate on what I had witnessed earlier. Slowly, mask alters, features sliding into an understanding expression, as suddenly the warmth of another’s bodice pressed against mine. Deep sigh is released, yet otherwise I am silent. Even as the lady’s final words reach my mind, I do not move nor speak, mulling over my thoughts. Yes, my hunting was successful. I left it in the cave I answer distantly, orbs unfocused. But I have yet to eat I continue, harks drooping to lie against my head as my gaze focused once more on the two dead creatures that lay in a pool of crimson before me, their death scents polluting the air, causing me to swallow heavily. Looking at the carcasses for another moment, I pull myself together. Turning to look at the maiden, a small smile ghosts across my pointed features. I’m sorry I say quietly, leaning forward to nuzzle her nape gently. You don’t mind if I quickly fetch my kill? I don’t want it to get stolen. You’ll barely miss me, I promise. Tape runs across her cheek briefly, before pistons leap into action, sending me shooting out of the clearing at a dead sprint, legs moving back and forth in a frenzied pendulum motion, sending me hurtling up the mountain slope was pebbles raining down behind me. As I ran, I felt all my worries lift from me, just as they always did when I pushed myself to the limits. Barely minutes later, I skidded into the cave, padders carrying me swiftly over to the hidden prey, moss pawed back, before the two small corpses are taken into my maw and I wheel about. At the threshold to the cave, I pause momentarily, my thoughts suddenly clear. My nature was opposed to Dris’ nature. Perhaps that was why we suited each other, were intrigued by the other. As long as the kill we made today did not go to waste, I could not rationally have much of a problem about it, for both the cougar and the ram would help sustain the life of others. With that final thought settling firmly in my mind, I leap off the narrow ledge, hitting the down slope nimbly and speeding downhill, each stride elongated by the downward motion, pebbles flying, as the prey swung in my grasp. A couple of heartbeats later, I skidded to a halt beside Dris, flanks heaving. Kill is placed upon the ground, before crown turns to face Dris’, large smile upon my features, orbs glittering and ears standing tall and proud upon my dome. See. You barely blinked, and I was back I joke softly, nuzzling the dark figure tenderly, before ribbon wanders out of its cave to wash the blood from the maiden’s neck. Satisfied that my preliminary cleaning operation was successful, I nudge her gently. Yes, I will eat with you. I pause for a moment, gaze fixing upon the hawk, before puzzled expression settles on features and I turn back to the fae. Can you eat bird? I ask, tilting my head towards the mottled brown feathery object at my feet.

Dris()Dome scrapped gently from the point of the drake's shoulder to the place where jaw bone met neck, motions causing the bubbling feeling to again fill her bodice, orbs closing so as to absorb it for all that the moment was worth. Then, slowly, sense started to penetrate the cloud the lass found herself surrounded in and the caresses upon his nape lessened, slowly ceasing to exist, crown pulling back as lids lifted to sneak a glance at his features, knowing already what would be found upon the mask. Tiara jerked away almost immediately at the sight gaze shifting towards the ground as chin nodded at his words. No reaction came at the actions of affection he applied to her frame, smoky depths lifting only to watch the retreating roan varg. Leggings folded beneath carcass and dome rested heavily upon front padder's expression blank and unfeeling as it stared straight ahead. The previous thrill of hunting was gone from her being, the event totally dismissed and the hunger that drove the maiden to it dissipated along with it. How many times had she warned him of her character? The lady had not spent her breath for nothing, but it seemed as if the utterances had amounted to nothing, ending in only the pain of her brokenly beating heart. Yes, the damsel had not missed the unease of his stance, the difficulty he was apparently having with the easy slaying of the feline by the knives of the ebony essa showing through his emotionless figure. Nor had she ignored the quick dismissal the duke gave himself, needing to get away from the intoxicating scent of the crimson that filled the air, needing to get away from her. Deep sigh lifted torso before it settled again upon the earth, conflicting lights flashing within gray tints. The vixen could not help the way she was made, all her life had formulated that and just meeting a singular baron who had shaken her world could not change what she was. Earlier, his vocals had called her love, but this was before the male got a true look of what she was; who she was. If his mind changed because of this, it would break her, but she knew that such an ending was better than living with a creature who forced one to contradict their own complexion in order to have the other's love. Skullary lifted from mittens and shook at the thought. What a hypocrite the duchess was! Warnings against her ever loving him had been given more than once, yet now she wanted, nay, expected the same devotion to come from him that she selfishly denied the lord. Cranium jerked at the sound of approaching footsteps, nasals telling her that it was the one for whom she waited. All ponderings were forced from her mind and battling emotions banned from guise, not allowing the czar to tell what she now thought of. Fake grin met Nira as he returned, carrying both a bird and a hare between his jaws. Curious cock of brow helped to lift the unease that had previously poisoned her air, soft chuckles coming at his silly question that she would expect to come from a youngling instead of a fully grown wolven. Of course you can eat bird. I find the feathers hard to get past so I tend to avoid choosing one for my meal. Gaze is cast down at the winged beast that lay by the feet of her companion, lips lifting to one side before pools pull from the sight, limbs pushing against the hard ground and bodice twisting towards the pair of kill she herself had taken. Pearls latched onto a leg of the goat and pulled it off the tan carcass of the lion, dragging it only a few feet away before ripping the ham off the corpse with a resounding snap and moving to eat it in solitude, choosing to dine out of the other's direct sight so as to hide any hostility that her method of partaking of a meal may show. Whether from embarrassment or the guarding of her life's organ from further ache, she did this, feeling like a wounded wretch who held neither status nor pride within the world.

Niravadhi::Ah, so I could eat the bird. Well, I had guessed as much that the feathers would be the problem. I frown down at the bird, deciding what would be the best way to handle the creature. Musings are broken, as the maiden leaves my side, barely moments later the snap of bone leaving bone resounding through the air, before back is turned towards me. Brow creases in a frown, as dome tilts sideways. Had I somehow offended the dark angel? Padders knead the ground anxiously, wondering whether my head would get ripped off if I joined her. Carefully, I pick up the hare, depositing it closer to the carcasses, before picking up the bird and inching closer to Dris, harks flopping sideways with an apologetic expression upon my features, orbs glinting with uncertainty. Cautiously, I walk up to her, making sure to walk past her with a little bit of space, before turning around, and coming towards her at an angle from the front, lest I found myself confronted with a very unhappy vixen. Dropping the hawk to the ground, soft lyrics flow from freed cave. You don’t mind if I join you, do you? I ask somewhat hesitantly, gaze fixed carefully on the dame, in order to seek out some form of affirmation, whether in the positive or the negative. When no sign of hostility is made, a soft sigh of relief passes through my maw, before I drop my gaze to look at the bundle of feathers before me. Structure comes closer to the ground as I crouch before the hawk. For a long moment, I do nothing but stare at it, trying to work out how best to tackle the feather issue. And judging by the lightness of the creature, there was not much meat on it anyway. In half a mind to discard the bird for some other creature to feast on, a stubborn little thought works its way stealthily into my mind. If a fox could eat bird, then I could. Well…..at least I could try. Deciding to take action, paws move forward to hold the body I place, while muzzle tips forward, jaws parting to allow enamels to clutch at a handful of feathers before nape jerks backwards in an attempt to rip the feathers free. Regrettably, I had not mastered even the basic art, and consequently, there was a moment of equilibrium, where nothing happened, only a large amount of tension being created in the bird. Then, without warning, a couple of feathers came loose, the tension breaking, and sending me reeling to the side, covered in features, while the bird flipped out of my grasp and lay on a patch of ground to my left. Growling angrily, I pick myself off the ground, dome shaking wildly to send the russet feathers spinning from my pelt. Sapphires narrow as gaze falls onto the innocently dead bird. Stalking towards the creature, paws clamp down on it once again, while dentals once more close around the next bunch of feathers. This time, rump remains in the air, serving to prevent myself from falling away with the sudden loss in tension. Nape once more pulls back, tension coursing through the feathers, before once again, a couple came loose. This time, I did not fall, yet somehow, my grasp on the bird had lessened, and the corpse was airborne once again, dead wings useless, as it plummeted back to earth. Spitting out the mouthful of feathers in disgust, I glare at the bird, deciding resolutely not to deal with it any longer, and never to catch bird again. Muttering darkly to myself, thinking up a hundred painful ways for the bird to die, despite the fact that it was already dead, I picked up the hare from its deathbed, before stalking back towards Dris, and placing the rabbit upon the ground. Looking down at it for a second, orbs locked on the twin red trails on its back with the puncture marks of the hawk’s claws; I crouch down before it, maw opening, and allowing dentals to rip easily through the hide, to allow the already cool flesh to see the sunlight. As the familiar earths scent of hare fills my nostrils, the previous mishap with the bird forgotten, as the first bite of flesh is savoured, before it is swallowed, and the next mouthful is taken. The previously forgotten hunger, or rather, the hunger that I had forced to the back of my mind the past two days, came back in full vengeance, dentals working efficiently at separating hide from flesh, and flesh from bone, until all that was left was a pile of bleached white bones. Snout moves forward, on bone…. perhaps the thigh bone? ……taken into my maw, before jaws slam shut, a sharp crunch of bone meeting bone vibrating through my body, before ribbon works at separating the marrow from the bone, the empty bones spat back out into a separate pile, while the next bone is taken to meet its end.

Dris()A bush stands between the duo, the lass choosing to hide with her kill behind its wall where as the duke stood where the other had been not moments before, what expression was on his face she could not read. The ham was dropped to the earth gently and stilts soon followed its lead, knees and elbows bending while the bodice settles gracefully upon the soil. Orbs are forced to focus upon the section the beast had just ripped from one of her kills, the urge to look up at Nira and watch him in his next motions being ignored. To do so would mean the fea had time for her thoughts to again run wild within her and torture would quickly ensue after such an occurrence. Of course, his mood had done a turnabout it seemed as he had returned to the place where she had waited, but the emotions within her were still there, speaking out against the lady's character and the part being ridiculed snarling in protests, hackles raised at its conflicting other half for such blasphemy as it now spoke, advocating the banishment of her darker side. Jaw line became hard and lids closed over pools as the dame forced herself to think of nothing but the kill before her, every other subject now being dangerous as it could lead to the thought of him. Shades lifted and jowls parted, knives grasping a hold of the goat’s skin while padders clamp down upon the carcass, daggers sunken into the flesh to hold it steady. With a practiced jerk of cranium, the skin ripped right off of the animal, the disgusting hair that was hard to digest along with it. Liquids then picked a section of meat, muzzle hovering over the spot to indicate it, and pearls grabbed it forcefully, a small chuck being pulled from the leg in one quick motion and the rest being ignored while the essa eats upon the piece she had within her jaws daintily, finding herself to be more self conscience than she ever had before. That bite was finished off slowly and the sound of another approaching caused teeth to hesitate upon their way back to the corpse. Lips swiftly dropped to cover them as skull turned and found the baron with both kills in hand coming towards her, angling his advancement in a strange manner as if he was almost afraid of nearing her during breakfast. Liquids harden and gaze watches the lord's mittens, harks flickering forward at his request and a mere shake of her head answers, lips parting only as brain forces them too. No, I do not mind. Rough vocals so unlike her usual tones answer, the vixen clearing her throat after the fact to try and fix the mishap for when lyrics would speak next. A strange silence then settles over her, any interest upon the ham gone for the time being as gaze remained downward, watching the dirt as if it were to move and dance for her pleasure. Thumping noise caught lobe's attention and chin lifted to see what the commotion was. Frown creased brow as she found a quite annoyed Niravadhi lying upon his side on the ground, glare casting towards the feathered creature she had supposed he was going to eat. Rustic feathers skitter the ground everywhere, causing the female to cock her brow in quiet questioning while the duke again goes after the bird and repeats the act which got him into the first predicament. Lips broaden into an amused smile while chuckles are suppressed, finding the scene before her too much enjoyment to ruin with laughter at the male's ways. Expression continues to lighten facade while her companion obviously gives up upon eating fowl and exchanges it for the hare, leaving the maimed figure where it had landed. Leggings push stature from the ground and quick pads bring her to the bird, gloves being placed strategically upon the gizzard and the rear, claws again sinking into the brawn while tiara lowered toward its being. Neck arched as razors captured the skin gently, tearing a whole in its scrawny protective surface before they repositioned themselves and nape wrenched backwards, pulling the membrane from the remains much like she had for her ham. Pad upon the neck moved and torso twisted as hindquarter swung around and jaws clamped down upon the spinal region hidden behind the skinny neck. Snap sounded into the air as head tugged violently, the neck and dome coming from the prey easily before it is spit onto the ground, the rest of the carcass being picked up by jowls and carried towards the brute, a soft thud sounding as it dropped before his limbs and retreat back to the lass' own meal was made, framework plunging slowly to the crust where it had laid earlier, mane bending as knives ripped meat again from the bone, chewing on the fragment slowly before returning for another, silence again settling over the pair as they ate.

Niravadhi::Even as the last bit of marrow was savored, a snapping sound caught by attention, dome turning swiftly to the side, in time to catch Dris separating the head and feathers from what had previously been my kill. Suddenly, the naked being lies before me, pale flesh contrasting with the darker floor, and I watch the dark form move back to her meal without a word. Thanks I say quietly, unsure of what had happened between us that warranted such an uneasy silence. As the silence presses in upon me, I begin to feel more and more uncomfortable, wanting nothing more than to press my flank against Dris’ and soak up her warmth. Snout miserably picks at the bird’s flesh, nose wrinkling slightly at the foreign, but not unpleasant, taste. I eat the bird slowly, picking my way around the hollow bones, not wanting to swallow fragments of bone and run the risk of spearing open my esophagus or stomach. As I had predicted, there was not much meat on bird, and soon, the bones were picked clean, and added to the hare’s. Structure draws itself upright, orbs seeking out the maiden’s figure. I wait in silence for a while longer, chewing my lip thoughtfully as I watched her eat. Finally, the tension that lay between us grew too much, and I moved forward, muzzle burying itself into her onyx mane, nares taking in her scent. For a moment, I remain in that position, chest pressed to her shoulder, as muzzle slowly began to run along her back. Finally, snout runs towards the lady’s muzzle, gently lifting it so her gaze met mine. What’s wrong, my dear? I asked softly, though I already had an idea of what it was. I’m sorry about earlier. And thank you. Thank you for walking into my life. Sapphires gleam sincerely, ribbon leaving its home to run around the maiden’s muzzle, gently smoothing out the short hairs. Haunches fold beneath me, bringing me into a seating position before the maiden, brow furrowing as I tried to come up with the best way to approach the topic that was dancing through my head. About my previous actions. It was not because I disliked you that I left so hurriedly. Yes, I admit, I was somewhat shocked at your actions for I never kill another creature unless absolutely necessary. And yet, you had warned me of your past, your habits. Even as I ran back to the cave, I realized that what I do, what I think, hardly matters in the grand scheme of things. Yes, I find little pleasure in killing another creature, and yet, would the cat not have done the same? Killed you without a second’s thought. Perhaps it is me, who is so different to the world, so different to you. And perhaps that is why I love you. Mayhap it is odd, for two lupines of such different mechanisms to become close, and yet perhaps it is not odd at all. Each drawn to the other out of curiosity. I pause for a moment in my soliloquy, ribbon running around dry lips, before maw opened once more. What I said this morning; I meant that with all heart. I do love you, and even if our path together may be a stormy one, we will follow our journey steadfastly and without doubt. Final tones leave my maw, lanterns burning brightly, as I leant forward to place a tender kiss on the maiden’s brow. See all the ways you can stay connected to friends and family.

Dris()Flesh was again ripped from the leg and knives continued their rhythmic chewing, tearing the meat apart before it was pushed down esophagus to be digested by stomach. Another piece was taken, the previous routine finished, and razors again chose a piece to devour. The ham was now almost completely red stained bone, surrounded by a few chunks of meat here and there with the torn skin dangling off the end where the hoof remained attached. Neck stretched out toward the carcass and jaws opened to grasp the remaining flesh before a wet tip was felt pressing against her tattooed hide, causing the damsel to freeze in her motions. Of course she knew it was Niravadhi for who else dared to touch her? But the reason for his intrusion upon her meal was unclear to the lass. Dome twisted and gaze looked upward at his, knowledge clicking immediately as to why he had come nearer to her. The uneasy silence that had consumed them had not been missed by the drake. How could the lady have been so naive as to think he would ignore it? Soft sigh emitted and muzzle dropped to the ground only to be lifted up again as the lord's snout rested beneath hers and drew her pair back to his azures. Lids flashed over sad, smoky eyes as his words entered into her harks, the silence still controlling her actions and banishing return speech. His address is allowed to come to a close, throat constricting at his utterances that completely ignored her previous warning yet again. Another sigh, this one more prominent, escaped the essa's cage, pools dropping before again rising to meet his again, jowls parted. Niravadhi, I am a killer. It is what my mother brought me up to be and an occupation which I have been accustomed to. But, every life I take is not for heedless reasons. Any creature whose plasma fills my cave would do the same to me if the chance was given. Of course, some of the battles I get into can be avoided yet I do not strive to make them so. It is not within me to walk away from a challenge, no matter what margin for victory I may hold. Pause was taken and front lifted chest from the earth, debris that clung to the coal underbelly now visible to the drake. It is not a question on if a life with me shall be stormy for it will be. I am not known for my open character nor for my kindness to other beings. Nasals submerged themselves now in his multi-hued pelt, drinking in his scent while running gently along underside of his jaw. How I wish you would not trust me with such a delicate possession as your heart. I tremble at the thought of breaking it. A task which would be so simple for myself. Tip then removed itself from his coat and orbs locked again with cobalts depths, tints shifting rapidly from side to side as they searched the other's liquids. As I told you before, I can't promise you love, Niravadhi. But I will not leave you until the time comes when you wish me to. Flints watch his intently, their surfaces completely serious, leaving no room for any other emotion. Her last piece of the banquet forgotten as the vixen turned all of her attention to the roan duke.

Niravadhi::A small, sad smile forms upon my features, her words causing no surprise. Of course she was a killer. It was what she had become; her past having her moulded her firmly into that one and only direction. Harks flicker slightly at the words “delicate possession” and “heart” appearing within the same sentence. Yet no word is uttered, allowing the lady to say what she needed to say. Instead, I allow myself to feel her moist snout against my bodice, glad of its comforting presence. Finally, her words come to a close, sapphire locked with silver for a long moment. I am quiet for a moment, taking care to process everything that bore the slightest significance upon the situation. Do not think so lowly of yourself. I say quietly, ribbon tracing her jaws path. You will find that my heart is not broken as easily as it may once have done. As those words left my maw, I felt my throat constrict slightly, organ wailing once in remembrance at its lost other half. Yet the grief flashes past, as I concentrate once more upon the maiden before me. You say you cannot promise me love. My answer is relatively simple. I do not expect you to. Perhaps I should be honest with you. I pause for a moment, orbs sliding past the maiden and out of focus for a moment. I love you for who you are. I would not want you to change. We may disagree on some finer aspects, but there is little to be done about that now. And yet I hesitate to use the word love. For what does it mean? At this, paws begin to knead the ground slightly, daggers creating neat little furrows in the ground. How could I explain that my love for Dris was different than my love for Luna? My love for Luna had been unconditional – was still unconditional. I did not love Dris in the same manner. She was too different; too different for me to understand her thoughts, her motives. And yet I cared for her. It was not the foolish care of a being who wished to change another into a kinder beast. Perhaps it was an instinct of mine not to let her walk the path alone, as I had walked it so many years ago. I sigh deeply, totally and utterly bewildered by the entire turn of events. Yesterday there had been no problem, and now, it seemed as though two forces worked between us: one to separate and the other to bring together. Orbs lock once again with hers, shoulders shrugging helplessly to show that I could not explain. Suffice to say I cared about her deeply. One of the many forms of love, which bound me to her, while giving her the freedom to act as she wished. I do not wish to alter your ways, for that would be like taking the wings off a bird. I pause once more, suddenly remembering her final words. All I ask in return is that you do not leave me. And since you have already agreed to that, we have found, as one could say, a form of binding contract. You retain your freedom of will for the price of your company. Do not worry about a thing as trivial as love. For in the end, true friendship also lasts forever. The final words are spoken in barely a whisper, muzzle rubbing against her cheek tenderly for a moment. An instant I remain frozen, before I pull away, gaze flickering to the remains her breakfast and back. When you are done, I suggest we head towards my pack. There are pups on the way, and the prey we, I pause to correct myself. The prey you caught, will serve them better than some lone scavengers. A small smile is given, before structure retreats to wait beside the ram and cougar, waiting politely for the maiden to finish her breakfast.

Dris()Steel pair continues to search the azures even as his calming vocals emit and ribbon moves along her bone. Thoughts flicker again to the drakes past; curiosity at it being no more silent than it was at their first meeting. As smokes watched, pain flashed into the baron's features before quickly disappearing within a blink of an eye. A sharp pang struck at her chest for she knew it was not herself that the baron was now holding in his thoughts. Gaze drawls back to his as he sends out the question of a subject upon which the essa had spent many a time pondering upon, at least, within the past two days of which she had known Nira. Perhaps it was not love per say that the male felt for her. She knew by the flicker of depression that had crossed his face that her predecessor was the lord's true love. His heart had been ripped apart by whatever had happened in his previous relationship: that much had been clear to the maiden the moment she had caught his reaction to her flirts. No, the way he felt about herself and the way he felt about the other were totally different, just as the Evil Angel would bet anything that the pair of fatals were as different as the night and day. Jealousy for the other lady filled heavily within the lass, causing her insides to twist and the fire of rage to lick at her insides. Someone else had been here first. Someone else had gotten to Niravadhi's heart before Dris was even thought of and twisted it in their grasp, breaking the organ into pieces in some unknown way. Another had stolen her one chance at innocence and she knew nothing of this beast. Who had done such damage to the caring duke standing at her side? Who could? Suddenly, the contessa didn’t want to wait any longer. The fea now yearned to know the brute's past, but before any inquiries could be uttered, masculine vocals again met her lobes, bringing the dame's gaze upward to watch him as he spoke. True friendship. Hushed tones whispered to herself, the ring of those words somehow seemingly wrong to her now as she spoke them. Friendship would not be the word the ebonite fem would have used to describe them for somehow the relationship was more than that, although she had, in the beginning, sought out nothing more than a night spent in the warmth of another. Funny how quickly time changes things, how plans get twisted until they are no longer recognizable by the maker. Just a day ago, the lady would have avoided crossing with a pack at all cost and now she was about to enter into this family's most inner circle WILLINGLY. Dome shook to cast the thoughts away and hindquarters lifted from the earth, no last glance being spared for the small morsel of flesh that still clung to the leg bone. Let’s get moving then. If you wish me to go without and force from yourself, it would be better to move out quickly or else my mind will make me smart and I will run back to the cave we shared last night. Joking smile was placed upon features that didn’t reach her orbs for only partly was she joking for the male's sake. As far as Nira knew, the essa would not dart away, but it was a very possible outlook. If things started to heat up, the cave is where she would retreat to, wanting not to cause harm to the lord's fellow brothers and sisters. Rage was a very passionate, very quick thing. If it engulfed her as it always did, the brute should know he could always find her in the den. The promise she made to never leave his side unless he asked had been meant with the lass’ entire beating organ and she intended to keep her integrity intact by holding true to the promise. Pools turned to look at Niravadhi as she moved to his side, awaiting a signal or instructions from him on what was to happen next. Did they carry the prey back to the pack or could the others make it out here on their own? Where they to suddenly run into the whole pack or just one member at a time? All of these questions and many more flooded her brain as formation stood patiently by, ready to do as their owner commanded once the time came.

Niravadhi::As the maiden’s last words grace my lobes, I smile softly, understanding her meaning quite clearly, and glad that she had taken it upon herself to stick to her promise. Soft footfalls alert me to her approach, causing me to turn to face her, smiling softly before staring down at the prey in thought. There was no doubt that there was a lot of meat to take back. Although the cougar would be heavier than the mountain goat. Brow creases, as I stare down, contemplating the matter thoroughly. Any ideas on getting the meat to camp? I ask, dome rising briefly as I spoke, before dropping once more. My only idea is to carry, well, drag, them back with us. Nose wrinkles, more thoughts working at making the plan workable. Dragging the goat would not be too much of a strain. The feline was a different question. Naturally, I would offer to take it, yet a word of caution told me to keep silent, for the proud vixen may well want to carry the heavier burden herself. Deep sigh passes through my maw, as I try to anticipate the maiden’s reaction to the two scenarios. Finally, I turn to pull the ram off its fleshy mountain, exposing the puma fully. Dome once more raises cobalt gaze to meet mercury. Mind works feverishly, trying to find a suitable phrase, while orbs carefully hide my train of thoughts. If it is ok with you, I will take the mountain goat I say finally, before dome dips with parted jaws to meet the ram. Jaws close tightly around the prey’s thigh, to minimise the risk of having the leg pulled off whilst travelling. Strain is taken my neck and back muscles, tension running through my structure. With a last glance behind me, I move from the clearing; death bed, battle site and dining hall. I grin slightly at the irony. Life was definitely better as a predator. Pistons move easily, despite the extra weight dragging by my front. Yet I had not gone far, barely hitting the last part of rocky down slope, when I was sharply reminded of my earlier folly, front padder protesting. True, the pain was bearable, yet the added strain would not help it. Jaws clench tighter about the goat’s leg, strides lengthening in order to hurry me down the slope towards more hospitable ground. Before long, the softer, dusty ground is beneath my paws, small grains working their way into the graze causing a momentary sting. Then, the injury quiets, allowing me to continue onwards. Pace is slow for a multitude of reasons. The slow pace allowing the maiden with the heavier burden to keep pace, my own burden inhibiting my normally long strides, the anxiety at returning to camp. Of all, the later was the one that slowed me most. It was a slightly foolish thought perhaps, for Snow Angel and Koga were just alphas. Then again, it was partway in my nature to worry about things. I shrug to myself in my mind’s eye, taking a short detour to stop by a small stream within the pack’s territory, long drafts of cool liquid swallowed. Moment is given for the fae to have a drink if she wished, small smile of encouragement sent her way, before burden is once more taken, and we travel towards the heart of the forest, and the pack’s camp. Trudging onwards in silence, harks alert for the faintest whispers of other lupines, since nares were so clouded by the scent of dead goat, that it was difficult to discern anything else from the air. Almost at camp, I pause, dropping the goat and stretching my neck. We are almost there. The camp is just through the trees. I say quietly, tenor lyrics reassuring, step towards the maiden taken so that snout can nuzzle her chest tenderly. Not long after, I push through the final bushes, into the camp’s clearing. Ram is dumped in a corner, a small nod of my head indicating that Dris should do the same, before I stepped into the centre of camp, dark angel beside me. It did not take long for me to spy the pale figure of my alpha. Good day, Snow, I greet the ivory figure cordially, bowing my head slightly and smiling at my alpha. I would like to introduce you to Dris, a maiden I came upon on my wanderings. Turning to Dris, a small smile is sent her way, before tenor lyrics pass through the air. Dris, please meet my alpha, Snow Angel. Introduction said, I seat myself on the ground, knowing that whatever happened next was pretty much out of my paws now anyway.

Dris()Chuckles grace the air for the duke made their current predicament known and asked of the lady's opinion. Bodice pressed closer to his as leggings stepped nearer, orbs staring at the pile of bodies laying before them, a frown upon delicate features. Crown nods slowly as he offers up his plan, none of her own coming to mind within the few moments pause the essa gave the subject. That seems to be the only logical way to do it. I can think of no other. I suppose your pack cannot come and fetch it once we make aqantances? Brow cocked in question as facade turned towards him awaiting the retort of which content she already knew. The lord had menchoned earlier that there was a birthing tonight. A group could not spare even a moments seperation from the would be mother if the younglings were to come into the world without complication. Steel pair continue to watch the salt and pepper sprinkled features as they twisted in thought, azures focused upon the prey with little reguard for what the damsel was doing. Maw lifts to one side as she saw the debate within his liquids. Silly Niravadhi. Do you think me so selfish as to demand I take the heavier load? Teasing lyrics are sent towards him through her thoughts, smile being muffled as the drake choose the safe route and offered to take the load of the goat. Of coarse, the maiden would have expected to carry the puma for it was her prize kill, one she was particularly proud of. Besides, one must always put on their best garb when meeting the family of a companion and with the cougar's blood upon her muzzle and pelt, none would doubt her ability, if any were foolish enough to do so in the first place. It was good the fatal was feeling lenient today and would not force the Forest Rain creatures to find out her character the hard way. After all, she had made a promise to the baron that her tongue would curb itself and tendencies would be suppressed. Chest moved forward and neck dropped to allow knives to clamp around one front padder of the feline, bodice twisting in a practiced maneuver till the majority of the lion's carcass was balance upon her spinal region. Triumphant smile was flashed at the roan varg as she followed along behind him easily, sharp gems catching the misstep he took every once in a while. Jaw line hardens as the madam forces herself to remain silent upon the subject, knowing that if Nira had not mentioned a wound before, he did not want her to know. The information was placed into the back of her mind for later confrontation and soon the trickle of a stream entered into harks, causing their tired peaks to perk towards the sound. Structure hunched and the weight slid easily from her back, muzzle jutting against the drake's flank playfully while she moved past him and lapped at the water, allowing ribbon to flick out hungrily in order to get her fill quickly. Framework turned from the flowing liquid and ribbon ran quickly over the other's tip before playful grin pulls at features and the Evil Angel swiftly returns to her burden, placing it upon her back just as she had before. Mittens trudged on tirelessly as the vixen continued to follow the path which only the brute knew. A weak smile in return for his affectionate gesture and announcement of their drawling close to the destination was all she could muster before pace was called upon again. Lobes perk as the sharp tones of another are heard but not quiet understood, the words morphed and inaudible even to her well trained ears, but she knew they were getting close. No surprise flashed onto features as the duo burst through the brush and were within the pack's clutches. Deep sigh was taken as the cat's system slid off hers while the fea followed dutifully after the only other wolven she knew. No time to turn back now. Sharp gaze bounced quickly from one form to the other, iron depths automatically categorizing their faults and strengths just as they would any opponent. An attempt at a sweet smile was given to the madam who was introduced to her as the leader upon the terra. Good day, Snow Angel. Polite tones emit, fires flickering upon the Queen merely for a moment before drifting to the lass that stood behind her, noting how her stomach bulged. Ah, you must be the poor soul who carries the younglings. Half attempt at a friendly smile was shot towards that essa as well, the urge to glance back at Nira being denied as she stood in the silence afterwards. If she lost her temper, there was always the alternative Dris had come up with this morning and the czar would not be too far from her if the support of his clear mind was ever needed.

Snow Angel*Vision of the bleached one quickly narrowed into pools of rage. Lips twitched slightly as if to bare the fence that surrounded her ribbon. She doesn’t know what she’s talking about, drunk up on hormones. The corners of her jaw tugged up into a flashy grin. “Well your right young one. There is no good in me, not for you that are. Now you’ll wreak the punishments of fooling around with that dog. I warned you not to play around with such a creature. So unsure of what could happen with a little pleasure?” Tones unhurt by the shot thrown at her by the sorceresses. Talons grouped the earth closer to her chest as she sank into the sod beside the fragile fatale. The queen drew her muzzle against the suburbanite ones drum. “How ironic this is, you throw a comment at me in attempt to hurt me but here you lay. Clearly in labour, clearly the one that’s hurting. Me? Nope. No pain.” Dentals beamed with pure joy as she rolled back on her heels to be back in her own personal bubble. ‘Good Day Snow Angel’ Harks clicked back followed by the glare of the empresses. Her frosted oculars studied the posture of both figures, one of which did not belong to her family. Instantly an intruder, not welcomed around a birthing chamber. The alabaster canine balanced onto her pillars and began to walk in a tight circle around the pair, attempting to draw attention away from the lair and onto her. “Nice to meet you Dris. Enjoying our home?” The honey vocals sang lightly. ‘Ah, you must be the poor soul who carries the burden of younglings.’ Her frame went ridged for a moment as her ivories clenched together. Lungs quickly released a sigh trying to refocus the attention away from the burrow.
Adah|Whoever said once that the miracle of new life was a private moment between parents and offspring obviously knew nothing of the Forest Rain Pack? It seemed as though all those far and near had come by, whether by mere coincidence or whether to gather for a pitiful excuse of social occasion. But the smoke-tinged baron, who should have been here, no matter the price, was not, and everyone who should not, was here. Her grim thoughts as bleary pain-filled visionaries turned from her Queen, whom she had just slurred onto the newcomer. Great! Just wonderful! Now, not just the Pack was coming, but their cousins as well! Maybe they should invite the prey, as well? 'Ah, you must be the poor soul who carries the burden of the youngsters.' Was followed by an almost horrific attempt at a smile came from the dame. Perhaps it was that she was unknown as of yet, or the fact that Niravadhi had just appeared with a mysterious dame that he obviously thought well of, but a gripe of pain filled her belly at the moment that the Ranee had spoken. Strength was summoned out of the murky pain-filled depths, and the Sorceress snarled heartily in defence of her love. Don't touch that, my lady, or we shall quarrel most horrifically, and I could not be sure of my measure of restraint from physical damage. Adah warned hoarsely, her lyrics rough from the pain. Summer-sky windows shifted a moment from her opponent to the stranger, and resigned herself to bid her peace. It would do no good to snarl and wrestle like cubs fresh from their den. They were supposed to be acting as adults after all. A brief dip of the dome for acknowledgement towards the dame and Aden's great hero, before Adah drew herself deeper against the earthen boundaries of her domain. Pressing her swollen abdomen against the solid walls, the sorceress began what she knew would be a gruesome experience. But there was always a silver lining to each of Nature's storms.

Niravadhi::Silently, I watch the interchange, knowing that Adah’s words were perhaps sharper than she had intended. It was understandable, I thought. After all. Shouldn’t we males be glad that we did not have to bear young? The mere thought caused me to cringe. Without another thought, I decided it was best to leave Adah in peace. After all. When I was consumed with pain, I had not wanted the company of other wolven. Especially not those who were not held particularly dear. Crown tips towards Adah, soft tenor lyrics flowing forth. I wish you all the best Adah. Small smile is sent in her direction, before I turn to the dark form beside me. I shall leave Adah to her duty I whisper softly to Dris, before turning easily on my haunches, and walking over to my hollow under the ancient Scot’s Pine that was so much like home for me. Pillars collapse beneath me, back pressed against the rough trunk, and a small growl of pleasure and contentment leaves my maw. Orbs dim as shutters fall across, only nares and harks remaining on alert. Nares alert for changes in the surroundings, harks locked upon the region I had just left. It was not that I had little faith in Dris. It was more that I feared a clash of personalities at an unsuitable time, and I hoped that I would be able to prevent anything too worrying from occurring at least in the immediate future. After then, everyone would have to look after themselves.

Aden-Coal figure propels itself easily across the terra at a fluid canter, shoulders rolling smoothly as I sauntered homewards. Today was Adah’s final day before she entered the realm of motherhood. The gods only knew how I did not envy her position, yet I felt duty-bound to remain by my sister’s side. After all we had done for each other, it felt wrong for me not to be there. At first, I had thought that giving her some space would be best. Yet, I had not gone particularly far, when I thought better of my actions. Thus, I was rolling homewards; ready to lend my counterpart the comfort and support she deserved. Dark form brushes through the bushes that keep the camp at least somewhat protected, jade optics widening at seeing Nira’s form against his tree, as though he had never left. A small grin comes to my features, as I press onwards towards the birthing den, leaving Nira to his peace and quiet. Padders fall softly upon the ground, hunter’s training coming easily as I slipped towards the birthing den. Structure tenses as I come across a foreign scent. The scent of a stranger. Fur rises on end slightly, malachite lanterns flashing in warning at the mere thought that someone could harm Adah. Not that she was incapable of defending herself. Quite the contrary. However, she had more important things to concentrate on, in my opinion. Finally, orbs alight on the stranger. One as dark as myself, though more slender in build. A maiden. Mossy oculars turn away from the stranger, falling upon Snow’s pale figure and Adah’s ivory structure at the ground. A ghost of a grin flashes across my features. Two black, two white. Almost like the final stages in a chess game. If I was Adah’s counterpart, perhaps the new fae would be Snow’s? I brush the thoughts aside, nares detecting traces of Nira around the fae. Thus, I deemed her safe enough, small nod of crown indicating a greeting. Good day. I am Aden. I say, lyrics perhaps slightly harsher and cooler than normal. Polite greeting is sent towards Snow Angel, before pillars take me towards the form of my sister. Upon reaching her, muzzle tips downwards, brushing gently across her nape, lyrics breathing softly into her lobe that none other could hear. Hello, my dear. I am here in case you want me. Ribbon flicks across her brow for a moment, before I retreat a couple of steps, before allowing my pistons to fold neatly beneath my structure, entire focus bent on Adah.
Tykel--The silver baron slipped silently, ghost-like, into the burrow, with a slight smile on his face. It seemed everyone in Forest Rain had come to see the newborns. The general murmur of twenty conversing wolves faded to near nothingness as he entered the warm roots of the tree. The crème fatale he was proud to call his mate was spread out against the earthen walls of the den, her breath translating in his harks as a ragged pant. He hurried to her side. Shhh, Adah," he whispered gently in her ear. "I'm here. Hold on. Soon this will all be over and we'll be the proud parents of a few strong pups." He curled up next to her, nuzzling her under her eye. She looked at him out of the corner of one large, pained pool. Tykel's heart nearly broke for her suffering. He decided to keep talking to help her. "Shall they have my brown eyes or your icy blues, like two singing blue jays? Will they be grey like me or as white as frost on the lake like you? Or perhaps, black, like their grandfather? Will they be strong and tough like me or firm, fierce, and cunning like you?" His reverie was interrupted by a sharp contraction that ripped through Adah's body. He winced as a slight yelp escaped from deep down the strong sorceress. He could feel the pain himself. It was beginning. "Should I call for Rouge, Dearest?"
Rouge*She grew hot with embarrassment Err… uhh..sorry Adah she mumbled half to herself but loud enough for her to hear, standing once more she padded under a tree sitting groom a mitt trying to hide her embarrassment. Harks pricked as she heard a voice and then another lifting her dome she spotted Nira with someone else, curious but not to curious to go over she sat Hello! Her voice drifted across the clearing, focusing back on cleaning her paw she listened waiting for a reply.
