She could tell that he was angry, even if it was not fully shown as she had come adept in being able to read people. Even if she had been good at it for some time, she generally was not one to try to react based on people's emotions although there was something there that caused her to reach out a hand in an attempt to try to consul him, as crazy as that probably was. Being a male, he would probably just brush it off and then think no further of her, too many feelings or whatever excuse. What did it really matter though? Soon she flinched her hand back as he jumped at it but he quickly made a complete turn around in his emotions. At first, she was confused with the whiplash in his personality but before she knew it, she was simply returning the contagious smile and withheld no hesitation before heading into the water. This behavior probably would have made her parents disown her if they ever heard of it, but that did little for her anyway as their opinion was completely unimportant. They practically had not a clue where she was right now in the first place and she was not going to allow that to bother her anytime soon. This was her vacation time, she was free from worry from school, her parents and her host family which was all very refreshing for once. Her attention was lost by the ocean as it reflected by the light from the moon, talking to him and taking a moment before resting her gaze on him rather than the water. She smiled instantly when he seemed to like the idea of learning to surf and she nodded lightly after he had responded. Her being farther from him did not end up lasting as he could touch the ground farther out than she could. Listening to him, she thought over the words with a small smile before nodding in agreement. I enjoy it very much.Yes it does, there have been some pretty gnarly storms out by where I live but it is just part of living there. Most things in nature seem to have a balance though. She uttered, her mind flashing back to the fact that she was some sort of mutant and could not bring herself to understand why. Sometimes, nature itself made no sense and this was what frustrated her but instead of allowing that to bother her, she swam out a little farther to keep herself busy. She need not allow the bitter thoughts to overcome her now. Swimming was calming for her though she was certain it was an outlet for a lot of people as well. For her, it worked as did surfing but given the current circumstances that was not as much of an option and really the water was just as refreshing when you were swimming anyways. Lost in thought, she was abnormally quiet for a stretch before glancing at the sky to get a better glimpse of the stars that were dotting the skyline. The sound of water became a little more violent though and she found herself standing to be looking at Taelix, and again she was baffled by his behavior and the confusion was clear on her face. He looked almost dazed and she was having difficulty making sense of why in the world that would be until her breath was hitching in the back of her throat and she was meeting his gaze without another word. As his hand was along her cheek, she was frozen completely although it was not in the bad sort of way if there was such a thing. When lips were met by his, her own hand was placed lightly against his chest, making no effort to move away and looking after him breathlessly as he pulled away. This was supposed to be the boy with a string of girls on each arm as far as she could tell yet he had just kissed her. Should she think any less of him? If she should have, her judgement was definitely off. He did not come by as the player type and she had no quarrels about any of the times she had run into him. Looking at him now, she was once more puzzled by the way he was acting. Her hand was left to fall back to her side and she frowned in her skepticism, not sure what on earth was going through his mind now. A string of distorted phrases and an apology was said to her and she shook her head soon after. Taelix, wait-why are you apologizing? She asked, clearly confused now. If he thought she would be offended by his actions, he was wrong but she did not want to dictate that it was that without knowing for certain. If Ali ever heard of this, she'd be very much dead but that thought was put in the back of her mind as she looked up to read his features. Maybe there was a reason he was apologizing but she was not catching onto it straight away.
