There was absolutely no doubt in Rylen's mind that he would suddenly change his mind about being in love with Rae. It was unquestionable to him and if someone asked him, he would have called them a dumbass for even trying to think that he might just move on. Rae was very much different, she had held his attention for longer than anyone so far but he thoroughly believed that he was bound to do nothing aside from continuing to fall in love with her even more so. She was not just one that he would forget about and never think about twice, that was pretty obvious at this point as when she was not around, things went off kilter in a large way and he definitely noticed this. There was that strong passion between them, the mutual feelings and he swore none of that would ever fade, ever. Though he couldn't tell the future or whatever and it was not supposed to be known and all he did not care. There was one girl he wanted in his life, end of story and now she was his. Sure they were kids and did not know the first thing about married life but what did that matter? Why should it have made a difference that they were technically married now? As far as he was concerned, it was not going to. She was still the same girl he loved with and there was nothing all that different about being married to her or at least not yet. It did not matter though, he was proud to be able to call her his wife. It was a big deal to him but not in a bad day, it just meant that he had made a lifetime commitment and it was one that he was definitely going to be sticking to, permanently and he meant it completely. There was no question about it in his mind, ever. He stated that he wanted to revoke the way that he had treated her as looking back now he was extremely ashamed of it but she seemed to disagree and continued to point out that she had done things to him as well. He just sort of shrugged this off for now as it truly was not a big deal and plus she was probably right, if they never had hated one another than it would never compare to what they had now. None of it mattered now, it was all behind them and there was nothing to do but to look towards the future which was looking exceptionally bright with the idea of Rae being there with him through it all. This was going to be their life together and he was extremely happy at this thought. Having one another to lean on was all that mattered to him, he did not want anyone else coming into his life to make an interference of some sort since he wanted to focus solely on being the best possible husband that he could be for Larae. Whatever she needed, he was going to be there for through thick and thin. Attending the school interested him and he wanted to go there to benefit the both of them in furthering their knowledge about themselves since there was plenty to learn and he wanted her to feel completely confident with her powers and being able to control them but he had nothing but faith in her capabilities. Rylen was only going to focus his future on what Rae wanted as she was far more important than himself since his plans could be improvised and created at any time whereas she usually seemed to have some sort of heading at one point or another. Whatever it was, he would never get in the way of it. Everything would decide how it was going to work out in time so they ultimately would not know until it all happened. As the mood turned playful between them, he watched her as she watched him and he thought he had won in blocking her against the wall for a while. Brow rose when she uttered about not being able to make it easy on him and he rolled his eyes at the comment. Easy does not come to mind whenever you are around, you enjoy making things difficult still. He murmured exasperatedly but it truly was never something that came close to bothering him. Glaring at her playfully, he shook his head when being accused of winning only due to her efforts. Eyeing her suspiciously due to the cheeky expression, he lost his train of thought as she kissed him, muscles tensing at the warmth of her touch as he was completely defenseless against her antics and was left staring at the wall as she slipped away ad he then looked back to find the large of the two boxes was missing. Not sure quite what to think of this, he placed the small box aside on the bedside table and sat on the edge of the bed until Rae reappeared. His eyes widened at the sight of her in the revealing garments and he stumbled over an appropriate comment though nothing was ever completely appropriate with Rylen. I need to go to those stores more often. He chuckled, stepping closer to her yet again as eyes remained completely on her.

Love had never been something that she had even believed in in the first place. She had always thought that it was nothing more than a gimmick used in movies to make girls search and have hope that there was something out there for them but really she had been caught completely by surprise in realizing that it was no gimmick at all and rather something that was raw and real and while they did not seem to follow the cliched way of falling for one another it did not change the fact that everything about the way that they had fallen for one another was so powerful. She had never really been the type to watch too many romantic movies but her and her mother had made a pact a long time ago that Sunday night before she were to go back to school on Monday was the day that the two of them spent together and that always ended in the two of them sitting on the couch and watching movies and it tended to be romantic movies every time that her mother did get to choose and she would be forced to sit through it and try her best not to roll her eyes. She wondered if it was just torture though for her mother and she always wondered why the woman would put herself through it when her father had left the two of them and that was the only man that she really loved and she had not even dating since the time that he had left. So what did she gain by watching these movies? That was a debate for a much different time though because right now she was much too focused on the fact that she was married and it was to Rylen, the guy that had taken her breath away and capivated her attention from the moment she had spotted him, while it had been in anger back then there was always the underlying passion that was sparking and ready to ignite between the two of them and despite all odds they were sitting right there. She had been hesitant to allow herself to fall for him in the first place but even the fact that she did not know if it was right at all she found that she did not have too much of a choice, she was going to fall for him whether or not she was telling herself that she was allowing it and when she had told him about her feelings when they had been in the safehouse the first time she found that she was willing to make herself incredibly vulnerable for him and that was a sigh that she was turning into something that she did not even tend to recognize, but really was that something that was so bad because look at where the two of them were right now and she could honestly say that she had never been happier in her entire life and that she knew that it was not going to change when the novelty wore off because really she did not picture it wearing off ever. Rylen was different from the rest of the guys that she had been with and there was never a time where she was bored of him, so many guys were dismissed because she could not keep her attention on them. At first when the school had been mentioned between the two of them she could not deny that she was a little skeptical since it was something that she had always thought that she would keep secret now that she had learnt that she was a witch but it seemed like a lot of other people were there and therefore there was no need to hide and there was too much information to learn to ever pass up. The fact that she knew that it interested Rylen as well really did tend to help, she wanted him to do something that he was interested in as well and she knew that he only wanted for her to be happy so it was hard to pick out the things that were really of interest to him, he was much too reserved to even tell her too much. She laughed when he stated that she still enjoyed making everything difficult and she grinned. The thrill is in the the chase Rylen, I need some way to keep your attention. She admitted and there was a small note of insecurity in her voice right then and there that she had not intended but she did worry just like everyone else what he if he suddenly lost interest after all she knew that he had not been known for having such a good track record so what if she finally settled down and the passion between the two of them turned to ashes? She knew that by kissing him she was going to have a moment where she was going to be able to slip away from where he had been trapping her and that was what she did when she then made her way to where the larger of the two boxes had been left in the kitchen of the cabin and she quickly jogged the entire way to the bathroom and locked the door behind her, she knew that it was meant to be a joke but there was a small part of her that really wanted to see his reaction to it. After all she was the type that was always up for a challenge and there was no shy expression crossing her face when she stepped out of the bathroom with a coy grin crossing her face meeting his eyes from where he was seated. Maybe you do, in fact I am very proud of you for even walking in there in the first place, you really don't seem like the underwear shopping type. She uttered with a grin and a small laugh. Steps were slow in his direction before then sitting lightly in his lap. There were traditions of a wedding night and she was certainly not going to deprive him of that, it did not take long for her own hands to discard the shirt that he had been wearing and she knew that there was no turning back from after the light touch was run along his abdomen. If anything falling asleep beside him that night felt so different and in a good way as it seemed all peaceful and settled between them, they no longer needed to worry about losing one another.

It was not an underestimate to say that he had never known what love was until he had run into Rae and the way things had turned out to develop for the two of them. Before that, there had been lust and hate, not many other emotions were allowed in between. He blocked them out, did not like or understand them and it was not until now that he was finally open with himself about these things. Having emotions made him feel... normal. Rylen had gone from being so adamant about hating average people to the point where he now just wanted to be ordinary himself.Rae had changed his mind on the subject actually since he did not allow it to bother him too much now, he was capable of feelings so therefore there was only a few things that separated him from his goal of being normal and those were not that big of things anyway. Now he was perfectly content with who he was, changing was completely unnecessary and impossible. It was pointless now that he reflected on it, not that it would have made much of a difference. He had feelings, around Rae none of it mattered then. She was gifted just like himself, so there was no reason to stress over all of it as he had been. No longer did he find himself worrying over such a silly subject, it was beyond something to even consider as he was now much more intent on his life and how it revolved around the girl now.As long as she stayed happy, the same was applicable for him in addition. He almost chuckled at her comment though quickly stopped himself at the change in the tone of her voice, catching onto the insecurity and ashen gaze was serious but gentle all the same while meeting her eyes. You will always have my attention Rae, never question that. Ever. He murmured adamantly. Despite their playful actions, this mention continued to plague his thoughts for a few moments after she disappeared. He knew that he did not have the best history in so called 'relationships' when in reality they had never even come to a point to be defined as that. His thoughts hit a brick wall once she reappeared and he struggled to make the cheeky comment even.Eyes were rolled lightly at her response before she came closer to him and his arms immediately wrapped around her as she was perched on his lap.Things did not take long to elevate between them and soon he held her close to him and listened while her breathing leveled out until she was sleeping peacefully and he sighed softly in contentment. She was his wife now and he was still thinking the thought was too surreal to believe yet, he was still settling in with the idea but was extremely excited all the same. Falling asleep took some time for him but that was his own fault though as he was thinking to himself before finally dozing off.Even with his lack of sleep, he woke up abnormally early for his usual habits and carefully snuck out of bed. He did not want to wake her up quite yet so he took a quick shower before heading to the kitchen to make them breakfast. Fixing them up something, he grinned to himself in accomplishment prior to glancing at the clock and then deciding that waking her up now would not be too horrible of him. Though as soon as he walked through the doorway to still see her asleep, a sly grin crossed his features as he did not even hesitate in jumping right on the bed beside her and then allowing an expression of false innocence cross his face. Good morning Mrs. Thomas. He stated brightly without being able to leave out the use of her newly acquired last name, leaning back with his arms propped behind his head and letting eyes continue to rest on her. This was extremely unlikely behavior for him seeing as she was usually the one having to drag his ass from bed but this morning was an exception. It was not a guarantee that this was going to become normal but he could not come to say that he minded being able to surprise her by making breakfast. Even if she was now his wife, he still knew knew better than to try to take her for granted. He had come to realize how torturous it was to lose her but no longer did he have to worry about any of that, or at least this was what he hoped anyway. Marrying her had been a very serious deal for him and it was a major testament to prove that he wanted her around, permanently. He did not have any intentions of losing her and knew now that he would do just about anything for her without blinking.

She had been a skeptic for so long when it involved any talk of love at all because she really did not believe for a second that it existed when there were so many people that were in relationships that were unhappy and it seemed like the moment where they finally won all odds and finally got to be together there was then odds that ripped them apart. With her and Rylen it had been so close to happening and it really had happened when he had left her she had felt like everything had been ripped out from under her and she had even tried her best not to fall in love with him but now that the two of them were together and stronger than ever she was determined that they were going to not only make the best of it but that they were going to be able to make it work as well. She knew that her feelings were not something to be taken lightly and also knew that one of the reasons that she had a bitter outlook on love and what it tended to stand for was because she looked at what it had turned her mother into and she knew that she did not want to become that. Her mother had given up her entire life for her husband and raised their daughter and loved him unconditionally until one day he just walked out of their life with no warning at all and they were left wondering what the hell had happened to him. Wondering if he was even alive in the first place and that was enough to tear a person up on the inside and she had seen it happen with her mother. She had seen the way that it affected the older woman with the sorrow that she felt and she had decided then and there that she did not want that. She was not going to allow someone to have the power of destroying her, ever. Rylen was given that power though and since the two of them were really on equal playing fields she knew that she was not going to have to worry because there was no way that he was going to do anything stupid even if that had been what he had been known for when she first had met him. He had known for being an idiot and being the bad ass that everyone wanted to be with. Everyone except her and look where they were now, married and living together with getting their lives back on track and going to be going to school in just a matter of a little while. She did not think for a moment that there ever was going to be a point in his life that Rylen was really normal since he was always going to be a fallen angel and he was always going to be the 'bad boy' type even if she toned him down but that was what she loved about him and she did not want him to change for anything. She knew that she never would have been able to go through anything of what she was going through right now with anyone but him. Even when he hated her he was willing to try to help her and she knew that she would have long since tried to just ignore the fact that she was not just a regular teenage girl and now he had even managed to convince her that she needed to take it to the next level and even go to a school that was going to be filled with people that were just like them and people that were going to be able to teach them a lot more about their life and what was going to be waiting for them when they got out there. There was no use in trying to deny a past that was going to be following them and they might as well embrace the fact that they were normal, who even wanted to be normal anyways? It seemed silly and ridiculous. She was confident enough in herself that she did not find it to be too awkward standing there in the lingerie that had been bought as a joke but really she could not even manage to hide the tone that she used and there was a thrill that ran through her when he stated that she never needed to worry about keeping his attention and this caused her to smile gently. I am glad because I would hate to have to get angry enough to set you on fire again. She teased as green eyes then met his. As she settled herself on his lap it did not take long for the night to be out of their control and what little clothes she had been wearing in the first place to hit the floor, after all was this not what a wedding night was supposed to be like? Even though they slept together before? There were some traditions that they could keep apart of. It did not take long for her to fall asleep when he was there with her and she knew that he was not going to be going anywhere at all even through the night. She did not plan on getting up early in the morning since it was going to be just a relaxing day after all that they had gone through in the last little while but he leapt onto the bed when she was still asleep and she jumped but laid there with her eyes closed for a moment before he spoke and narrowed green eyes were directed towards him in a glare. Since when do you wake up early? She grumbled and then rolled over to curl up against his side and rest her head on his chest. Allowing herself a moment to wake up before then throwing her feet over the other side of the bed.

Love had always been nothing aside from a complete joke to him. It was useless, fake. And all the same, it was nothing aside from lust. So-called "love" failed to last, there was unfaithfulness and divorce. Rylen had never understand it, never tried to. It had been nothing aside from ridiculous to him, no rhyme or reason aside from desperation. Why did one seek for three little words to be spoken to them? What difference did it make aside from an unnecessary infatuation? He mocked the thought, had hated every bit of it. They were stupid with their incessant claims, blinded and he could not see why commitment was necessary in the means of all this. It was a facade, that was all and he was never going to give into it. Always he had chided himself with this belief, rolling his eyes at the couples that he came across while out in public. Yet all of these thoughts had shattered due to the appearance of a certain red headed girl, he learned what it was like, what it meant and even then he was not convinced that anyone else had the same understanding of it as he did. Their relationship was indestructible from his view point, superior to everyone else's. They had nearly been to hell and back with the different things they had faced but by the end of the day, they were standing right behind one another without wavering feelings. But when he had first fallen for her, he had still been the stupid and ignorant boy that did not want to give into the feelings, he wanted to leave it behind as though it were nothing and leave to 'protect' her.Where had that gotten him? Angry with himself and worried about her and in the end he had come back to her, and lucky as he was, they had worked it out. He took it upon himself now that he did really need to protect her, and that he needed to keep her happy. Overall he felt that he could not lose her and would do anything to keep that from happening. Theoretically the odds were against them now that they were married at such a young age but Rylen was willing to do anything for Rae in order for it all to work out, that was his main goal. Despite his disbelief of actually getting married, marriage was something that he did not take for granted and especially when it came to Larae. He did not want her to feel trapped but then again, who was he kidding? She had feelings every bit as strong as he, did she not? They both possessed the ability to ruin the other, being both the other's strength and weakness. Rylen had a large vulnerability now but it was one that he took seriously and was not going to just shake off. When, not if, he got himself in trouble any time, Rae was not to be involved in it and he promised himself as much. Though now he was not quite as stupid and did not plan on getting himself in difficult situations, he just wanted to be prepared. The fact that she never asked about his past or did not even seem to balk at it was comforting to Rylen, his status being something he was not exactly proud of now, leaning more towards indifference though there was a part of him that was ashamed of it. There was a definite 'good' side to him past the exterior that had grown distant over the years but his wife was definitely the one who provoked the majority of it out of him. He was adamant as she seemed to take on a different tone in saying she needed to keep his attention which was something he was quick to defend. A glare was shot in her direction as she joked about setting him on fire but he could not keep the chuckle from coming out at this. Another of their infamous moments. They did not take long to get carried away and he was falling asleep next to her easily, waking up earlier than her for once and taking care of breakfast for the both of them. He was rather energetic that morning and in a good mood as he jumped back onto the mattress beside her, grey eyes watching her intently as he scooted closer.Meeting the glare with an appalled look, he gasped exasperatedly before looking at her coyly and speaking matter-of-factly. I only wanted to be able to see your smiling face as soon as you woke up. Running fingers lightly through her hair, he grinned at her as she was resting against his chest. Breakfast is waiting for you downstairs.I may have almost set off the fire alarms although I thought that might end up with me getting burnt which did not sound at all appealing for me... He chuckled lightly before remembering something else. And I believe we have an appointment later on today, if I remember correctly. Of course she would know nothing of such scheduling, Rylen had something else up his sleeve that was going to be a surprise for her, a good one he hoped. Now was not the time to inform her of his agenda for the two of them though, she would just have to find out later on, especially since he knew it could bother her since she was not the type to particularly care for surprises.Once she got up and out of bed, he reluctantly did the same though soon left the room again to give her space and to set the table for the both of them. The dining table was in an offset area that viewed the lake from the large windows which also gave way to a great amount of natural light, the weather being suiting for this as summer had finally agreed to show itself. I really could get used to this place. He admitted once she came down to join him as well.

When she first met Rylen she would have thought that he would be the type to be a cheater, to never settle with just one girl when he could bounce around to and from the girls that all seemed to worship the ground that he walked on. There was a certain appeal that a mysterious guy and a dark stranger seemed to have but she was proud to say that she did not react to that sort of appeal she had wanted to do his best to stay away from him when they first met and she had tried her best and it was only when he started to look a little less myserious and a lot more like a jerk that she started to fall for him. Yes there was no doubt in her mind that she had fallen for him while knowing that he was a complete arrogant jerk and she was willing to admit it because what use was there to denying it. Her feelings had started long before they were locked in the closest together and long before she set him on fire but she had just been to blind to see it, there had never been a person that challenged her as much as he did. She knew that she needed her wits about her when he was around and she needed to make sure that she was on the top of her game. Too many guys that she had known before him had been much too boring and she had no interest in them for longer than a day at a time and they did not even usually make it past the first date with Rylen though there was something that was magnetic that she could not even start to explain and something that really did not need any explaination at all because it was just too powerful to deal with. Now that she realized it to be love though her heart raced and she was realizing how much she really wanted to be with him and that the words that she spoke at the altar had never been so true, forever had a whole other meaning when it was with him it was not just some cheesy line from a movie. She had not known what it was like to hear someone say that they loved you until she heard it from Rylen, the feeling was incredible and it felt like she was walking on cloud nine when it did eventually happen. She had never been the type to even want to conform to something like that and yet now that was exactly what she was looking for with her relationship with him, well not to the same extent since there was no way that they were anything close to normal and she did not need to hear it all the time to be reminded that it was true since she had enough confidence in herself to understand and to know all on her own but it still did not change the fact that she loved to hear him tell her that she meant a lot and that she had changed a lot since being with him, she was no longer the bitter and callous girl that had been deemed untouchable and did not want anything to do with anyone at all at the school. She was still the same fiery and hot headed girl as always since that was never going to change but at least when she was around Rylen she was a little different. She would always be a believer that what she had with Rylen was special and something that no one else would be able to achieve but in reality she did not know if that was true she did not know what love felt like from other peoples point of view but then again she never would want to because none of this would happen without Rylen and he was the key to the puzzle and she knew that it was not that he just happened to be there when she needed him there was more to the story she needed him, he needed her and there was no way that anything was not going to happen between the two of them there were just too many times that they wer forced together by fate that she was willing to admit to it just like that, it was fate that pushed them together no matter how cheesy it sounded. The fact that they were married right now was not going to change their relationship they were still the same people that they had been before the ceremony and they were not going to fall into the wake of the percentages that failed because she was too stubborn for that and if she did not think that it was going to work to start out from there was no way that she would have said yes in the first place. When she woke up that morning it was because he had sprung onto the bed beside her and she was rolling over to rest against his chest when he commented that he wanted to be able to wake up to her smiling face that morning and there was a small laugh released as she glanced up at him with a smirk. He commented that he set fire alarms off that morning and she grinned at him. The thought of you cooking is scary enough for me. She uttered in a joking tone. She changed to then meet him down stairs and settle at the table looking out over the lake with a small smile when he commented that he could get used to this place. It's certainly beautiful here. It was also serene and quiet away from the rush of the everyday world.

The last few days had been great, nothing had changed aside from the rings on their fingers and the certificate signed between them both. Aside from that, they were still the same couple they had been, no fighting had yet to come of it. They still had several days left at the cabin although he had a surprise up his sleeve on a different note from that. Though today was set aside for registering for the school that they both were interested in attending so other plans were temporarily put on hold. After her taking a shower and changing, he soon followed in doing the same before meeting her down in the living room area dressed on a black t-shirt and jeans. Arms were wrapped around her waist as he stepped behind her, kissing her neck gently before resting his head on her shoulder. Ready? He asked her quietly, waiting for her response before slowly dropping his arms and stepping away, reaching for her hand soon after. Given the current nice weather streak they were having, he did not want to bother with the car and grabbed the key for the motorcycle instead, grinning to her as it dangled from his fingers and then walking out to where it was parked. The helmet was handed over to her as he waited for her to step on as well before starting it and soon heading down the road. By this time he had figured out the roads to the school and had it memorized, finding the so called 'hidden' academy as if it were written on the back of his hand. When they arrived, he was surprised by the decent amount of people around, many being those around their age although he was not surprised by the looks shot in their direction as he waited for her and took her hand as she got off the ducati. His hand remained over hers, making it clear that neither were available as the interested and curious looks were cast in both direction. That was not an argument for Rylen in any way. He was keen on keeping an eye out for those they had run into at the party, not forgetting the guys that had commented on Rae and then nearly beat the crap out of him. If it happened again, they would be all sorts of messed up immediately after and he would see to it personally. They had gotten a lucky streak otherwise he would have skinned them had he gotten the chance. He was extremely protective over Rae and that was not something that anyone at this school was going to be forgetting any time soon. That, aside from anything else, would be made crystal clear to everyone.Following the signs that were set up for the registration, he walked with her, smiling lightly in her way although anyone else was greeted with a cold glance as he was a little on the edge of being here. As they were ushered to fill out paperwork and explained what needed to be done and where, he listened intently although once looked up to find someone who was almost familiar looking with some strange interest at Larae. Immediately this sent him a little tense as he met the other man's gaze who quickly went back to talking to whoever he had been and Rylen's gaze returned to the papers before him. They were asked to fill out their fields of interest and Rylen immediately filled in the circles for the IPA along with some other classes that involved Immortal Defense along with a few general courses in addition. Looking up at Rae for a moment, he rose a brow as he was truly curious as to what she was looking into as they had not had a chance to really discuss this before. Peeking over her shoulder, he could not help but ask. What were you thinking about? He asked simply out of curiosity, thinking he had the majority of the things picked out, he submitted a few papers to the adviser helping with registry although he held back the course list a minute longer, wondering if there might be something that he needed to change. This was all something he thought he would have never bothered with in the first place, yet here he was and he was looking forward to it actually although that probably had a lot to do with a certain red head that was in his life. Nonetheless, it was something for them to be working towards together and it was a big step within itself. She had wanted this when he had brought it up so now it was something that he was interested in as well, he could not spend the rest of his life simply working on cars. Surely Rae would not be interested in him if that was all he ever did, he needed to prove that he really was not some sort of dead beat that only got money from working at a garage and from poker. There was more to him than that and Rae deserved to be with someone who could make something of himself and Rylen was going to damn well try to be that sort of person. He had to amount to someone that she deserved to be with, or try anyways. She had married him but that did not mean that he did not have to try to keep her happy and to keep her attention on him, he wanted her to feel like he was good for her, that he could be a good husband and be there for her in whatever way she needed it. That was his goal now.

Married life was proving to be perfect and just what she needed, she did not feel any different besides the glowing smile that never left her lips when Rylen was around, it was an expression that was reserved for just him though, he was the only one that was allowed the privilege and the insight into what was going on with her and the true emotions behind emerald colored eyes. She was a close off wall like Fort Knox for anyone else and that would always be the way that she acted, she did not like people all too close with her and she did not like being vulnerable and really the only person that she needed as a constant in her life was right by her side. A lot of the time spent in the cabin was a blur of just spending more time with Rylen and the two growing even closer than ever. So the day that their registration was set to take place rolled around and she was feeling good about it, she was a little nervous since this was something that neither of them had too much experience in and it was not something that they knew a lot about besides what they had heard from the time that they had been there before they were married but it sounded a lot less difficult than a lot of the things that they had gone through in their whirlwind of a relationship. A small smile was cast in his direction when he managed to capture her around the waist kissing her neck lightly, causing breath to hitch and a small shiver to run along where his lips were pressed. The small subtle smile never left her lips though and when he asked if she was ready she nodded. Of course, I can't wait. The start of a new life where the fact that they were 'different' was going to be accepted and challenged sounded perfect to her, not as perfect as being married to the most handsome fallen angel though. She still really did not know what that was going to mean since she was sure that there were rules against it and when was that going to catch up to him but that was a thought for another time, she needed to focus on getting ready as she dressed in her nicest pair of jeans and an off the shoulder top that dressed it up a little but she might as well be comfortable. With the weather as well she knew that he would want to take his motorcycle and when they arrived out the door that was confirmed when she was handed a helmet. Good thing I did not choose to wear a dress. She teased murmuring lightly to him as she took a step behind him and pulled herself close to him. There had been a time where she would secretely enjoy this while pretending to hate him but right now there was no doubt that she was basking in being able to rest her cheek against the muscles of his back and hold around his abdomen quite tightly. When they arrived the whole place looked quite busy and they were ushered off in the direction of the registration building. Hand in hand there were still people that managed to make a few glances at them and she could feel him tense and she was about to make a joking comment when eyes then fell on a man that really seemed quite familiar. She could not place it though and her stomach was tied in knots. Swallowing hard she continued on filling out the form looking distracted when he asked her what she was interested in. Huh.. oh. She then shifted the form so that he could see the classes that she checked off, a few history classes as well as the one for IPA and one that specialized in witches, she needed to learn as much about herself as possible. Claiming that they needed to do a couple tests with Rylen she kissed his cheek gently before stepping back. She nearly jumped out of her skin when someone tapped her on the shoulder and she swung around to face the same man. Confusion etched across refined features though her eyes were rock hard. Miss Lawson would you come with me for just a moment? That sent all sorts of warning bells off in her mind, how the hell did he know her last name previous to being married to Rylen when she was so sure that her new last name had been written on the form. She really did not want to go with him but she was too curious. Mrs. Thomas actually, care to explain how you know my maiden name? She uttered abruptly. The man in front of her looked shocked and did not even try to attempt to hide it. Very well then, come with me. I am the headmaster. She thought that it was quite odd and quite rude that he did not introduce himself with his name before being led into an office. What really sent her for a mind trip was the fact that her eyes landed on a photograph that she was sure that she had seen before on her mothers mantle, it featured a younger version of herself and her mother and jaw nearly dropped to the floor. How do you have this? She exclaimed, and why? Her tone was bitter and her words were cutting. Rae, calm down, you really don't remember me? He asked. With eyes going wide all the pieces started to fall into place. No, you can't be my father, there needs to be a better explaination of why you would abandon your entire family rather than you being a headmaster somewhere, I thought you were dead.... She trailed off feeling emotions gripping her and tearing at her. I can explain. He uttered and she shook her head, bumping into the chair. First though I would love to know why my daughter no longer has the same last name? By now she was fuming. You have no right to ever ask me that question but if you must know I am married. His eyes went wide and before she was able to say anything more at all she burst through the door again unable to keep herself pulled together.

Was there anything coming between them now that they were married? Nope, nothing. The only difference was that he was not quite as insecure about losing Rae but he was still hell bent on having her around. The two of them were nothing but happy, then again this was the supposed 'honeymoon stage' really but that never even crossed Rylen's mind.He was happy and from all he could see, Rae was happy as well and that was a matter for him to be proud of. She was the only one who saw the raw side of Rylen and then again he knew she was not nearly as guarded with him as she was with everyone else. Together they were very open and honest and it was something he could not help but adore. He was not used to it but everything was different with Rae, it was a lot of firsts for him but none of which were ones that he minded in the least. Over the course of the last few days, they had simply been content with being in one another's company, as they preferred. There was nothing else that could compare to perfection in his mind at least as it was nice for them to have down time together after the stress of things that had come to play not all that long ago. He was proud of Larae and the way she had moved on and how she was handling everything since he knew that she had gone through a lot recently. He shot her a grin while wrapping his arms around her, asking if she was ready and once more allowing the broad smile to cross features after kissing her and slowly releasing his grip to reach for the keys. She still needed to get ready though so he was patient while thinking over the plans for the afternoon, looking forward to the registration even though it was something he would have never done without Rae right there with him. It was something they were moving towards together so therefore it immediately was made into something he would not be forgetting any time soon. Once she was making her way back downstairs, he handed her the motorcycle helmet with a cocked brow, chuckling lowly as she commented that it was good she had not chosen to wear a dress. He had never not enjoyed her riding the motorcycle with him, even if they had hated each other, the attraction to the girl had been there all along. Now it was just normal between them but that did not mean that it was overlooked, he particularly enjoyed the closeness between them and being able to hold a hand over hers every now and then. It was obvious that they were together from the moment they pulled up as well as the way they walked together and his hand was tight around hers, steel gaze having lost the softness it usually withheld while in the company of the red headed girl simply because he was keeping an eye out cautiously on those around him. He had yet to come to trust everyone he ran across, that was no mystery in any way. He was on edge at the sight of a stranger, nothing out of the norm but he was not fond of other's eyes traveling to look at Rae with such interest, it would not take long to rub Rylen the wrong way with that and the other figure was lucky he looked away within a moment's notice otherwise Rylen might have confronted him. Regaining his attention on the forms in front of them, he scribbled through his different fields as they were supposed to before he looked over at her and was very confused as she seemed to be a little out of it. That was abnormal for Rae and he was not about to just brush it off. Refraining from bringing it up then, he looked at what she had and compared it to his to see that there was only a slight difference between them and deem it good enough. As they passed in the forms, he smiled lightly at her as she kissed his cheek before he was excused, uttering it would not take long. As much as he hated Rae just being alone in this place, he needed to take the testing seriously and listened to the brief instructions. It was computer generated actually and a lot of general knowledge so Rylen was quick in catching on, despite his lack of applying himself when he had attended high school for the short amount of time. There were very few answers that he was unsure of and soon enough the assessment had ended surprisingly quickly to where the counselor looked a little confused as well before scanning over the results and announcing to Rylen that he had high enough scores to test in. Nodding lightly, the male was anxious to get out of the room before slipping down the hallway to where he had left Rae and looking around with alarm as he did not see her. Walking rather briskly and shuffling aside from some people, he checked down a few other hallways until he was able to discover the red headed girl by nearly running into her and immediately his heart sank to his feet. Rae. He uttered quietly, being gentle with her but letting his anger flare up at the cause of this. What's wrong? Pulling her aside to a room that was currently unoccupied, he cupped her face gently for eyes to meet hers. What happened? Are you alright? Genuinely distraught look flashed in his eyes, worried about her as he was clueless of the situation and wanted to make everything better.

There was nothing that scared her as much as the thought of losing Rylen, she had lost him once before and that had been the worst time of her life that she had any memories of. She could not even explain how lost she had felt, she was too stubborn to admit that he meant that much to her before he managed to make his way back. That was something that was held always in the back of her mind as a reminder of how she knew that she loved him so much, the fact that she could not function without him. She had been so independant for so long this was a new concept to her and one that she had fought from the start when she realized it, she had been sure that she did not want any part of it. He was a bad influence, he was not good for her, he was going to cause her to stray from the path that her life was taking and yet he was the best thing that ended up happening to her. She strayed from the orginal path of her life because she turned onto one that was better, ten times better than the one left behind. She had been missing such a key essential to her life and now that she had a taste of what it was like when he was around and she was married to him there was no turning back and she would never wish for that. She really did not think that this was the 'honeymoon' stage for them since they had been through too much already to just be considered star crossed lovers, in her mind they were just so different from other couples and she really could no longer picture herself fighting with him when they seemed to have the same outlook on almost everything now that they were not purposely finding things to argue about since that had been something that she might have been known for in the early stages of their relationship. At first the way that they acted towards on another had been so toxic, it was amazing to her that they could change that much in a span that was not even too long. She could not he happier in seeing the side of Rylen that he did not like to expose and being able to understand him a lot more than the average person, she knew that he would always by the mysterious man that did not tell all of his secrets but if he ever decided that he did want to tell more she would be right there and waiting, but there was no use in pushing him. She knew that she should feel like she was missing out on being around her mother and back where she grew up but how could she even consider that when she was feeling so betrayed by the woman and the fact that she tried to ruin her daughter life. It was still a sour subject but more than anything it made her want to move on to start her life with Rylen, her husband and maybe one day her mother would realize what she was missing. They were taking a step that was completely foreign but they were doing it together in registering for this new school, it might not be the right decision for either of them but they might as well make that mistake together because they were still young and it was just as likely to be a good decision as it was to be a bad one. The motorcycle brought back a lot of memories of being so close to him when she had thought that she hated him, the fierce attraction had always been there and still remained there now as she rested her cheek against his back and smiled everytime he touched her hand that rested across his abdomen. He might be focused on making sure that there was no wandering eyes on her but she was doing the same as well since a lot of girls tended to be oggling him. She sent glares in their direction. It was clear that she was probably not going to get along with too many people here given that she was already jealous. Next time do you think you could wear a paper bag over your head please? She joked lightening the mood. Too many girls are looking at you. She uttered in annoyance. After she was then pulled aside by the head master the news that she learnt was too much for her to handle, it did not take long for her to burst through the door and run almost straight into Rylen. Biting her bottom lip emerald eyes were distraught which was not common for her and he was able to see this in her long before she said anything, she wrapped her arms tightly around his neck and buried her face against his chest. I'm fine. Her words were muffled against his shirt. Needing a moment to compose the news when his hands then moved to cup her face after they moved into the empty classroom. The headmaster... He's my father.. She uttered quickly trailing off. And its true, he knew my last name from before I married you and every form I have filled out has been with your last name. She whispered. He had a picture of me on his desk, when I was a lot younger, right before he left my mom... She was fighting with the emotions that were taking her over right now. Taking a deep breath in she took a step back from him meeting steel grey eyes boldly. I am not going to allow this to affect me. She uttered in the same stubborn tone that Rae was often known for. This is our life now and I can't wait for it all, he is not going to ruin it, not for a single second. She stated proudly pulling herself together. How was your testing? It was impossible to ignore the man though when he stepped back out of his office though and her eyes met his and he looked like he was debating on intruding the conversation between her and Rylen.

Rae was his vulnerability by far. He was extremely overprotective of her, borderline insecure about the fact that she might move on and find someone who deserved her more than he did. Of course he was too stubborn to let this be known but that did not mean it did not register across his mind every now and then. Rae was the only constant he had in his life, the only one he wanted in his life at all times and at this point he actually needed her as well. Without her, he would be lost now as he had come to realize that when she had disappeared after the incident with her mother. He had been on his own and answered to no one that it was truly impossible to believe the change that he had gone through, how much he relied on one girl and how much he was willing to set aside in order to make her happy. He would do absolutely anything for her if she asked it of him, he was not sure if he had any idea but he was wound as tightly around her finger as possible. He still wondered if it was a good thing that Rae was with him, he had to wonder where she would be without him now. He did not want to drag her down, he was worried about doing that somehow but now he was working his ass off in order to make something of himself and well ow to set something aside for the both of them. From what he had seen, she'd always had her things together to get herself somewhere but when you looked at him, it could not be any more opposite. How were they together when things managed to be like that anyway? He did not dare question that, although he had heard the claim of how opposites attract countless times. Their extreme personalities had definitely done major damage on the way they had interacted originally but to look at them now was a world of difference. It did not add up for them to go from loathing one another and to come to this yet here they were. Nothing in his life made much sense anyway so why should this be any different really? He did not give a rat's ass about what anyone else thought about them, no one else needed to be involved in their relationship as it was strictly between them, as it should be. Just because he was one way with Rae did not mean that he had changed much for anyone else, sure he had turned into a slightly better person because of the relationship but not just anyone saw the open side of the man. Larae still saw the majority of his personality but to everyone else he was still relatively shut off overall. Since they had come here, they had not so much as even mentioned the incident involving her mother and he thought that was the best as he did not want to stir that up when there was no need to. If she wanted to talk, she could say anything she wanted and he would listen but he would never bring it up on his own. He was still baffled that all of this was happened, two things he had never pictured himself had been planned out and well one was already done; he was married and now going to college, an immortal college although that made no difference. The ride on the motorcycle brought up memories for him as well, including one where she had threatened to tear it to pieces after he had touched her car, this brought a small smirk to his lips as it came to mind. When they arrived at the school, he was too busy glaring at guys that were looking her way to so much as notice anyone else. Looking back at her, a brow rose before a low chuckle was released at her comment. You have to agree to do the same. You draw way too much attention. He uttered teasingly. Leaving her behind left him a little anxious and then he started rushing through the tests slightly but thankfully the answers were easy enough in coming to his mind and he was being released not much longer after receiving his results. Looking for Rae left him feeling lost immediately until the two nearly collided and he was set off when she appeared distraught. As this was made clear to him, he only responded in pulling her closer while asking what was wrong and ultimately wanting to know who had done this to her so he could take care of it. Don't lie to me Rae. He murmured under his breath while pulling her aside, knowing that she was no where near fine. Giving her a minute before finally cupping her face in order to seek out emerald eyes, he waited for her to speak as he really wanted to know what was going on and what was bothering her. When she did manage to tell him though it was the last thing he had been expected as eyes widened. Running his thumb along her cheek as her voice broke to a whisper, he spoke up quietly. Rae, we don't have to go here. We'll find somewhere else... He mentioned though she was soon telling him that she did not want this to affect anything. Watching her carefully to make sure this was true, he cocked his head to the side and folded his arms across his chest though this stature did not last long as he could not refrain from wrapping his arms around her. I'm so proud of you, you know that? He uttered gently. Shrugging when she asked about his testing, he was left to reply with a coy grin. It was pretty easy actually. Apparently there is more to my head than air and cobwebs. Smirking at her, it took only a second before he could tell something was off again and as he followed her gaze, he found the same man who had been watching her earlier. Now it made sense but that did not mean it made Rylen any less protective. The man had hurt Larae in the past and Ry did not want him to be able to inflict any more now.

She did have an understanding that they were both one another vulnerabilities. She knew that he would do anything in order to keep her safe and she was willing to do the same. If someone were to come between the two of them that was a very bad thing that was not going to end too well for that person. They were powerful when they were together and she no longer knew what to do when she was by herself. They had not been together all that long but really it was hard for herself to picture life without Rylen because they had been together through all the trials of life that were tossed her way like her mother thinking she was crazy and putting her in an asylum and the demons being after the two of them. How could you compare any relationship at all to the one that she had with him? She was also very incredibly lucky because there were not too many people that would put up with a life like hers and would have been scared off at the first sign of trouble but he was there and she knew that he was not going anywhere. When she had told him at first when he came back that she was going to do her best to forget about him leaving and to heal from that she had never been all that sure that she was going to be able to get over it and not to bring it up again between the two of them but now after the last few days and being married to him she was over it. It was in the past no longer a sore subject and ready to move forward with the rest of their lives together. The motorcycle ride to the school was something that was taken as a fond memory as the two of them arrived there together and were cast quite a few looks as they made their way to the office in order to sign up for classes. If she ever heard him contemplating whether it was a good thing that she was with him or not she was sure to get really upset with him since she was convinced that it was the best thing for her. She would not have been able to get out of her mothers place unscathed without winding up in a mental hospital and she would not have been pursuing the fact that she was a witch she would have just been going to class somewhere and getting some degree with no knowledge whatsoever about her powers. It would have been a shame to just keep going like that without embracing that she was different and for that she had Rylen to thank. It was a whole new world that she was getting used to being a part of. When she told him that next time he came here that he needed to wear a paper bag over his head and he told her that she needed to do the same and there was a small chuckle that was released from her lips, everything was light hearted between the two of them and filling out the paperwork was as easy as could be though she really did not want to part ways with him when he was called away for a little bit of testing and what happened next was something that she never would have expected. So when she rushed out of the office and almost right into Rylen she just needed to be told that it was going to be alright. She was not the type that usually needed that and the comfort of his arms but right now she was feeling a lot more vulnerable than she ever had. When she uttered that she was fine he told her not to lie to him but she had just wanted to get out of the hallway and into the abandoned classroom before reacting. She did not want to make a scene and she did not want the man to see that he was affecting her in that manner because he really did not deserve it when he had been out of her life for so long that she really should not even care about him at all. The way that he cupped her face and met her eyes was comforting as well as his thumb running across her cheek he told her that they did not need to go there and that they could find somewhere else to go to school but that was not what she wanted to hear, she just needed a moment to be able to get over this and then she was sure that she would be alright again. She just had not been expecting this at all and she was not too good with things that she was not able to predict herself. He uttered that he was proud of her and in that moment she felt like she just wanted to melt into his arms resting her forehead lightly against his chest with a small sigh. Thanks. She uttered softly. I am proud of you as well, I cant believe we are actually here right now and about to go to college together. She stated softly. At the end the man did end up walking away and she was glad because she could not handle more drama for the day, she knew that she was going to need to address the issue in the future and need to talk to him about it but for right now she just wanted to spend the rest of the day with Rylen figuring out when they were going to move into the dorms of the college. She was not going to allow one set back to ruin things for them. The rest of the next week passed with the same ease in getting ready to move into the place that was actually going to be considered theirs for the next little while and soon it was time to actually make the official move, she was glad that the one thing that her father had done right was leave her a very generous college fund because that was certainly going to help.
