Katy|She nodded and looked to him. "Yeah. It is nice there." she smiled slightly. She remembered now that she had been there all her life. Stuck on her own for six years. But not entirely alone. Her warmblood kept her company. It wasn't a nice feeling, living on your own in a big house, with a pool a few stalls for multiple horses, an indoor and outdoor riding arena and plenty of land. Not a nice feeling at all. Somehow she thought she should be sharing it with somebody. She sighed softly at these thoughts, running through her mind.

Smile fell a bit as the male watched the essa a little longer, a small frown beginning to crease the skin between his eyebrows. Something was hidden beneath the serene expression which appeared to be forced. Was there something troubling the maiden which he could have missed? Mind quickly ran over her previous words and actions, catching the small phrase she had uttered that in his haste to organize a reply, the male had missed. So she was lonely. Alarm bells went off in his head then, telling him to back off this girl and let her run her own life. He had a lover at home waiting on him who wouldn't be too thrilled if she learned he was trying to help another woman through her loniness and yet, he felt sorrow for Katy, knowing all to well how it felt to try and go through life alone, to try and be strong constantly. Shifting a bit uncomfortably, the male glanced down at the ground breifly, making a quick decision and gathering the courage to speak, knowing that he really had no right to talk so freely with her since he was a stranger. You know, life does not always remain lonely. Fate runs it's coarse over time. You look young. No older than twenty I would guess? Plenty of time left in life.

Katy|She looked to him and opened her mouth to speak. "No.. actually I'm sixteen." she said quietly. How did he know that was alone? She sighed softly before looking down to the reins, where her hands were now grasping onto them. It was almost as if the horse now knew how she felt, he had his head drooped down and his eyes were deeply melancholy. She looked back to the male and smiled slightly.

The news she delievered hit him rather hard with surprise, eyebrows lifting for a few moments before he frowned slightly, tilting his head as eyes scanned over her quickly, wondering how the hell he had been so off on his guess. Dismissing the matter for what it was, gaze lifted to watch the essa's face, sorrow filling him at the dejected expression found there. Poor girl. She is too young to be alone. Where are her parents? Surely she is not in a house all on her own when she is barely old enough to drive. You said that you lived on your own. Where are your parents? Vocals spoke his curiousity, the skin upon his forhead wrinkling as brow furrowed, mask full of concern for the younger lass. Suddenly, it struck him that perhaps she found his questions too probbing and the male felt bad for being so nosey. I'm sorry. That's really none of my buiness. I just can't imagine a girl like you of sixteen years living on her own.

Katy|Katy Nodded slightly. "No, its fine." she spoke. She was used to being alone after six years, but she could never imagine herself handling it forever. She sighed. "My parents..they left me when I was ten."

Brow raises again in surprise at the answer the fatal supplied him with, a concerned frown instantly forming upon visionage. Is there no one, no family, who takes care of you? Vocals asked, mind already churning with thoughts he was not sure quite how to handle. The poor girl. He knew what it was like to have to grow up on one's own, even if the teenage years of his life had been solitary based upon his own decisions, the experiances were still the same. It was hard to have a job, pay the bills and somewhere juggle school in between there. Often times he was one of those kids who skipped school, but he never did it to go laze around. Sometimes he had to ditch in order to get to work on time. Why had her parents left her? Had they been simply tired of the responsiblity and left the lass alone as only imbecils would do? Or was there a real reason for their abandonment of their daughter? The male didnt think hardly anything could justify leaving a young, ten year old child parentless, but he did not know the circumstances or how the essa viewed her sire and dam now.

Katy|She sighed softly before looking to him and shortening the horse's reins. "No.." she said quietly. There was a real reason why they left her; with everything. Katy used to have a sister called Brianne. When Brianne was 12 and when Katy was 10, Brianne was murdered. By her parents. Then immediately, her parents left Katy where she was, warning her not to tell anyone, and so she never did. But that meant they would get away with it. Katy didn't understand when she was younger but now that she was 16, she understood perfectly well and wanted her parents to be punished for what they did. She never knew why they murdered her sister, and now she didn't want to know. She never wanted to see them again, or they would be sorry for what they did. Katy even witnessed the murder and that is something that will stay with her forever, whether she likes it or not. Being alone in the exact house, made her remember the past, reason being why she goes out alot.

Frown deepened at her answer, gaze holding hers for a moment before she looked away. Continueing to watch her, the male unknowingly pursed his lips, gaze narrowing a bit as he continued the thoughts that had merely made an appearance in his mind not more than a few seconds ago. How did she get along without them? Had they left her any money or anything else that could help her get by in life? Heavy breath lifts chest as the bloke continues to think, orbs now dropping to stare at the ground near to the spot where the horse's hind hooves rested upon the crust. Glancing up again, the baron realized that he wanted to help the lass in any way that he could and knew that such a thing ment consulting Ayrn. Moving slowly towards the beast and its rider once more, soft words were uttered towards the stallion, hand reaching out to try and pet his shoulder, muscles tense and ready to move away if the animal showed any signs of discomfort. Looking up to Katy, a very serious look overtook the duke's normally carefree expression. I hope I don't sound too forward or scare you with what I'm going to say, but I want to help you. I don't think that at your age you should be worrying about things like bills and getting yourself fed and clothed. What you should be focused on is school and friends. Let me take you home. I'll give you my number and I'll pay for whatever you need. Erixic paused then, waiting to see how the fatal would react to his offer before going more in depth. If she agreed to let him help her, there were a lot of things he needed to ask her, although he felt bad bombarding her with questions. It seemed like that was all he had done since meeting the younger girl.

Katy|The stallion muzzled his hand and whickered softly. Katy looked down to him and sighed softly - "Im fine really, thanks though. They left me enough money. By that I mean more than enough." she said, hoping she didn't sound ungrateful. She appreciated his efforts to help her. He was right though, she should be focused on school and friends more than bills, feeding herself and so on. But, she just couldn't do that. Not ever. Why? Because if she were to go to school and make friends, the truth about her past would definitely come out then and Katy didn't want that, not in that way, not now, not ever. "Sorry if I sound ungrateful, but i really am fine. thank you for offering all the same." she gave him a slight nod before looking down to her hands holding the reins.

Smile turned to the stud as the horse suprisingly was no longer bothered by his presance and even bumped his hand with his muzzle. Reaching for his nose, the bloke stroked the soft outside of the nostrils, listening to the girls reply as he did so. Gaze lifted and hand moved to again rest upon the coal hyde covered shoulder, grin being directed up at her. No, it's fine. No need to apologize. I was just offering to help. You not needing it does not make you ungrateful. Tunes paused then, the drake hoping she believed what he said and did not doubt what he had said. If she was sixteen and taking care of herself perfectly fine, then he did not need to help her, even if he still wanted to. After a moment of silence, he glanced down at the horse before looking back up at the lass, making a quick decision. Would you take my number still if I gave it to you? And use it in case you do want help or company? My girlfriend and I are always around town and one of us cooks dinner at home almost everynight. Im sure Ayrn would be glad to have female company every once in a while if you ever feel like not having to worry about dinner.

Katy|She watched the horse first, and realised he wasn't tensing up or anything like he did so before. Katy looked down to the male before answering - "Alright then. I will, thanks." she gave a slight smile. She took one hand off the reins and held both reins with one hand before running her hand down the horse's neck and patting it. Bringing her hand back to the reins once more, she turned her gaze back to the male.

Smile was returned easily as the apprehensive tension left his features, gaze dropping to look at the earth as hands moved instintivly to pockets, patting the outside of his shorts almost as if searching for pen and paper that should be there. Frowning slightly, the man remembered that he had been finishing up his morning routine of running and therefore would not have brought anything other than his cell phone, which he only carried with him in case of an emergancy if one were to occur back at the house where Ayrn was. Grinning sheepishly up at the fea, palms were lifted towards the sky, a soft chuckle escaping thin lips in amusement at his own antics. It seems I do not have a pen and paper on me. Tunes joke lightly, making fun of himself first before continuing. Do you have a cell phone or some way write my number down? The bloke asked, voids more serious now as the met the fatal's duo, squinting just a little because the sun had begun to climb higher into the sky. Thoughts shift to his lover as he wondered whether she had begun to worry about his abnormally long trip to the park, but did not linger there for long. If the maiden was concerned about him not having returned yet, she would call eventually and that conversation, however much kissing up he had to do, would assure her quickly of his safety.

Katy|She smiled and gave a slight nod. "Yes. I do." she said. She took the reins in one hand and reached Into her jodhpur pocket with her free hand, pulling out a cell phone. Switching it on, she set it onto the contacts menu before looking to him once more. "Okay." she said giving a slight nod.

Charming smile instantly lit up the male's features at her reply, voids watching as she shifted the reins in her hands before digging in her pant's pocket for the celluar device. Waiting paitently, he petted the equine upon the shoulder in a smooth, rythumic way, almost as if it was done involentarily. After the essa produced it from her pocket, the bloke realized that his cell number had changed since the last time he had lived in the states and so he too had to pause, holding up the operation slightly, in order to get his own phone from his short's pocket. Upon retrieving his, thumb flipped the cover upwards and eyes glanced at the screen, quickly reading over the numbers there and listing them off as he did so, pausing nicely inbetween the area code and the next three numbers as well as the second set of three numbers and the set of four numbers. When he finished, pools glance back up at the lass, a grin flashing at her. Go ahead and call my phone so I will know who it is when you call. Words seemed as if they were spoken without thought, but the baron had actually decided before he had spoken what to say. He hoped that by saying "when" instead of "if," that he would imply that he expected her to call and welcomed the time when she would. Erixic did not want the girl to have to suffer through a lonely childhood as he had done. It might be considered a strange comparison, his constant thoughts of her in terms of his own experiences, and it was hardly warrented, but the drake could not keep himself from continuing to think of things in the same perspective. Sure, it had been his own choice to run away from home, the raging hormones that came amped up for shifters distancing him from everyone he knew, and the lady had been abandoned by her parents, but, to him, this did not mean that their experiances after the fact could differ so widely.

Katy|Once she had put the number into her cell phone, she put it back in her pocket and held the reins with both hands once more and looked to him. "Alright." she said "Thank you." The ebony warmblood seemed to be getting impatient after standing still for so long. Katy gave a slight sigh before patting him on the neck.
