Niravadhi::Structure leans heavily against the ebonite bodice of my mate, as I twisted my dome to bury my countenance within her thick sooty cloak. Nares pull in the lass’ familiar perfume, my entire being relaxing against her touch, too weak to try and fight anything. I remain in this position for a long time after the maiden’s final words dissipate into the atmosphere; the normal forest sounds hardly being registered within my mind. Instead, I was too busy trying to sort through the answers the duchess had given in reply to my soliloquy. The basic fact of the matter was, that she wanted pups, wanted to build a family. Yet she was just as unsure about it as I was. Mask is finally withdrawn from the dark robe, sapphires gazing forwards. Haunches are slowly lowered to the firm turf, as gaze is dropped to oversized padders. Now that my panic and worry had left me, my mind was entertaining a new host of thoughts. These thoughts following a pattern that more suited my being, for I rarely panicked in the manner I had done previously. Wasn’t the fear of failure experienced by all couples thinking of their first set of offspring? Was my self-confidence so low that I didn’t think it even worthwhile to try? New thoughts dance through my cranium, causing a sense of dizziness to overcome me. Orbs are shut tightly for a moment, until the feeling subsides. Then lids are pulled back and crown turned to meet the raven façade of my lover. For a moment, the words seem stuck in my throat, but there was no way that I could not voice the conclusion that had settled firmly within my mind. If I did not act on this now, I would find it intensely difficult to forgive myself in the coming weeks. Perhaps…perhaps we should take our chances. I say quietly, tenor vocals still slightly hoarse. Mayhap fate will be kind to us. Otherwise I am sure the pack will help us… lyrics trail off as I stare into ashen depths, wondering whether I had done the right thing by giving the possibility of a litter the chance to come to life. Perhaps things would work out in the end. Though what the pups would be like was a complete mystery. Heavens knew what weird and wonderful character traits the pups would inherit from such different individuals. But Dris and I would surely be able to master a slight complication called pups? Oh, and education. Surely the two of us would be more than a match for a handful of balls of fluff….

Dris()The damsel waited, side still pressed against the roan baron while the short silence continued on. A lot had been spoken and time was needed to process it all. At least he was no longer freaking and running away from her. Weight shifted as the muscles beneath the other's coat moved, raven dome turning to look in the lords direction, a mixture of many emotions in the steel depths for there was little to make sense of. Things had happened so quickly. . . How had they escalated to this point so suddenly? Was this a normal occurrence? Well, it really mattered naught if it was a usual thing for the pair are quite unconventional, but it was still one question that managed to race across the lass's brain before the male spoke. Words were soft and hoarse; obviously voice had not yet recovered from the shock of the situation. Heart raced at his suggestion, a thousand inquires rushing to the forefront of the dame's mind seemingly all at once. Had Niravadhi really spoken? Yes, he had. Never the less, pools search the brute's azure pair, looking for any sign of uncertainty or regret upon the decision there. Stature tensed at the mention of the pack helping them to raise a litter and something within the demon tugged at her defensive side. No, they were capable mates. Was it not her mother who had raised the little hellion all by herself? Did that bloodline not flow in her veins? This would not be an insurmountable employment. True, nothing remotely near the familiar, but there is always a lesson to be learned out there. No one knew everything. "I would not think we shall need the packs help." Vocals rang out forcefully, allowing no retort as to the contradictory. "If you are steadfast in this decision, that is. I. . . . I do not think I could do this without you." Syllables escaped again, these gentler as gems again meet her lover's.
Niravadhi::Gaze remains focused on nothing, whilst harks catch the lass’ tones. The vibrations of the air are passed through the eardrum and on until it reaches the cochlea. The vibrations are detected, electrical signals passed, and only then was I able to understand the maiden’s utterances. It seemed that now, for some reason I could not comprehend, it was more difficult for me to understand. Was that just because I was barely staying afloat in a sea of turmoil? Quite probably. In that case, it was high time that I did some swimming, I though wryly, pulling myself back to my feet mentally. Stature is moved forwards slightly, before I turn allowing me to face my mate comfortably without having to twist around. Cobalts meet with silver, as I frantically try to remember the words that the duchess had just spoken. Ah, there they were, I think suddenly, catching on to the thread of memory. Small smile is sent in the fae’s direction, muzzle moving forwards to run gently along an ebony cheekbone. I would never leave you. I answer quietly, before drawing back. Once again silence falls over the pair of us. It was not exactly awkward silence, but neither was it the comfortable one we had shared barely a day ago. Kissers part as ribbon runs across them, giving them some moisture. In that case……it’s a yes? I finally venture, gaze dropping to my paws for a moment, before dome is lifted to look the raven dove bravely in the eye. In the moment that I wait for the final, definitive answer to fall, time seems to slow down. It slowed down until the figure before me started to go blurry, and then time went backwards. At first the pace was slow, but then it began to accelerate, pulling my spirit self with it. A rush of colour and sound flashed past me, too fast for me to have much of an idea what was going on. The presence of other lupines suddenly left, allowing me to come to the conclusion that I had reached the passage of time were I had wandered aimlessly across the lands with my shadow as my only companion. Then a new set of wolves entered the picture, and slowly the colours became less bright, the scents discernable, the sounds understandable. When everything had come to a complete and utter standstill, I dared to look around. The world seemed inexplicably large. Turning my head to the left, I was met with the sight of a large grey figure. Father? I thought in confusion, before the image fades away. A heartbeat later, I was lying upon a large, flat rock. The world was no longer quite so big. Quiet surrounded me until, WHAM the breath was knocked out of me, my form tumbling into the grass under the larger bulk of my eldest brother. Then this memory too, dissolved, only to be replaced with the next, and the next. The older I grew, the faster time flew onwards, until everything was a blur once again. Finally, stillness. Shutters had fallen shut in the duration of the moment – how long it was I could not tell. Curtains are opened to reveal sapphire gems, determination and love radiating outwards.

Dris()Smile cracked the stone like mask of the lass as the duke leaned forward and nuzzled her affectionately, reassuring tones lulling her bodice into a sense of security, lids closing over depths. When muzzle began to pull back, hers went with it, unwilling to give up the contact so quickly after receiving it. Reluctantly, the essa did have to bring her head back squared upon her shoulders for necks can only reach so far and there was still an important question on the table. Shades lift, orbs staring at the lord while she waited again for words of confirmation. There was no way the demon could be happy asking her mate for something he himself did not want and so, basically, it was really all up to him. Where they ready? If Niravadhi thought so, then Dris did, knowing that both of them could be quite stubborn in their resolve when they wanted to be and if they choose to do something, that thing would be done. Finally, vocals came, the drake of coarse directing the final decision to her. Why were males always so reluctant to speak their mind? It’s not like we females would eat them for saying the wrong thing. Voids wait as the azure pools of the other are directed towards the ground, knowing she could not speak without having at least some connection to her lover, but when he did look to the lady, the words seemed to fade from her mind, larynx constricting with fear. What was she to be afraid of? Many things. Her ability to be a mother and a mate, her partner's feelings on the subject. Surely his posture told her something of his intentions, but alas, it did not. The only aspect of the duke that was apparent at current was the fact that he looked nervous, unsure as she was about the whole issue. This was silly, to have such emotions. Dome shook sharply, orbs refocusing upon the knight, feeling as if hours had past when it had only been a few minutes. Ribbon flicked out, covering tattooed kissers in saliva before returning to the parted cavern, slightly hesitant lyricals escaping. It's a yes. Forehead dipped in conformation, weight shifting in an effort to find a comfortable position, without much success. Iron pair finally lifted as a slow silence stretched on, a slight frown forming onto guise at the detached look found on her companions facade. Niravadhi? Quiet vocals asked after another moment of waiting, still not getting any response from the varg or even any form of acknowledgement. It was then that real worry began to set in, haunches lifting off the earth and pushing frame to the lord, snout bumping his shoulder lightly at first, pausing to await a response, and then nudging with more force the next time. This continued for a few minutes and the lass was growing more and more distraught, unsure of what else she could do to get his attention. Finally, tip dipped towards the ground and the Evil Angel nearly rammed into her mate with all her might. As she pulled back and frantically searched the male's features, she saw a light of recognition start to return, letting loose a heavy sigh and falling to sit on the earth, figure strangely tired after the whole ordeal. Tiara hung dejected for a moment, the fatal taking her time as she recovered and finally lift chin till again she was looking into the familiar cobalt gems that made her feel safe, as if there was no danger in the world and no reason to protect yourself. Without fail, her guards always dropped within and instant.

Niravadhi::A slight aching in my shoulder caused me to wince slightly, tiara twisting around so that sharp lanterns could survey the offending limb. Surely my memory could not have caused this physical reaction within me…Crown is lifted in search of my mate, brow furrowing slightly at her slumped pose. What was wrong? I scan the immediate surroundings looking for clues, optics alighting on a faint set of talon marks on my side. Brow creases yet further when I analyse the meaning behind the furrows in the turf. Evidently, they were created in movement that was supposed to knock the opponent over. Aha. In that case, my dear mate was to blame for my shoulder. A soft grin pulls at my kissers, for I found it difficult to be annoyed at the lass for long. Steps towards the ebonite figure are taken, dome reaching forwards to allow muzzle to press against the other. Suddenly, mercury pools are revealed, causing me to freeze in my motions, before slowly a bright smile crosses my features. It’s a yes. I repeat, before deep laughter flows through my chest and out of my maw in a bubbling torrent. Why I was laughing, even I could not say, but it released the tension that had been coiled within me throughout the morning, allowing a familiar sense of calm and control to settle over me. Much better I think to myself, the bright smile never leaving my guise. Finally, a lack of breath causes the laughter to reduce to a hearty chuckle, before that stills as well. Ribbon flicks across the raven scenter of my love, before one stride takes me close to her broader structure. Leaning comfortably against her, snout moves close to her lobe, soft tunes making their way easily down the passage. The pack is going to be most surprised. Another soft chuckle follows this pronouncement, before ribbon meanders its way down the maiden’s back and across her flank, caressing the charcoal cloak. It did not take much observation to note that the dove’s aroma had grown more intense, the soft breeze that came from the west pushing her perfume out across the land. A soft growl of warning forms in my throat, though maw is shut tightly to stop any sound from passing. I would not get all male and protective now. I knew well enough that whichever male had designs on my mate, would be shredded by the angel’s claws. A wry grin forms upon my features. Ironic really, how it was to be the dame that protected the drake, when generally it was the other way around. Then again, we were as unconventional as possible, so perhaps the twisted irony of fate suited us better than most would care to understand. The small, two-letter word ‘us’ caused my thoughts to come to a complete standstill, tape stopping is motions abruptly. Serious expression paints over my previously joyful expression, bodice pulling away so I could look at the lass. With the formalities….or rather, most of the formalities out of the way, it was perhaps time to act upon our decision. Gut twisted with nerves as I kept my expression decidedly neutral. I would just have to let instinct handle this aspect, I surmised, lip curling slightly in distaste of giving instinct free rein. But sometimes, it just had to be done. Maw opens to begin the final round of questions and answers, before the inevitable was to occur. There was no backing down now….it was only a matter of where and when. Ehm…Dris I begin, scowling at my less than eloquent opening. Do you have any preferences on where and when we.... intellect struggles to find the correct wording, before patience at this game of beating around the bush is lost. Do you have any preferences on where and when we mate? I ask, tones a little rushed and a little defiant, as I gave the sooty lady before a quick smile.

Dris()Silver pair remains focused on the male in front of her, catching the confusion in his features and then the wince that came as physical awareness finally set in again. Regret then struck hard, the lass scowling at herself for being so heedless to the after effects of her action. There were other alternatives, different things she could have done to jolt her mate from his daze, but she had thought instantly of one of the more violent ones and enacted it without giving any time to analyze the decision. Typical her. Disgusted frown forms onto facade, unbeknownst to the fatal, and remains there as the duke approaches, not even beginning to fade until wetted tip touched the other. Surprise formed onto features for a moment, then a slow, glee filled smile took its place, the maiden pushing gently back. Brow cocks lightly at the sudden, unexpected laughter that then fills the air from the depths of the lord's lungs. They were such strange beasts at time. Doing things for no particular reason. Her own chuckle dances in the air at his comment about the pack, a vision of their reaction forming within her mind. There would be a row of them, all huddled around the area which the pair slept, their eyes wide and some mouths agape at the sight of suckling younglings at the underside of the demoness. At first, she would allow them near, grinning smugly at their expected reaction, but later would drive them all away with a quick snarl, allowing only her darling mate near to their offspring. A shiver runs down the essa's back, rush of pleasure pulling her from the mirage. Neck twists, bright orbs watching her mate as he caresses her length, her rear having lifted from the earth at some point within her day dreaming. Banner rises from its usual listless position, wagging softly in a simple motion that all other wolves engaged in when happy. Vibrations were felt against her side from the bloke's larynx, tiara tilting slightly with curiosity in question at him. Could that have been a growl forming within his gizzard? Surely not. Never had any sort of sound even threatened to come forth from the drake in all the time they had known each other, but was not every animal capable of aggression even if they were known to be mostly passive? Nostrils flare and her hypothesis is instantly confirmed, the scent of her heat blowing across the distance among the wind. Silly males. They were such amusing creatures when instinct drove them. Brow again lifts as Niravadhi pulls away from her side, roan maw open and words escaping in a slightly uneasy fashion. Patience endures once more, the damsel waiting for the rest of the question to come forth before jumping to conclusions. Entertained grin comes across guise, bodice raven moving closer to his warmth even as the inquiry was revised and completely finished, but this was not needed. Lobes are pushed against head as it rubs beneath the knights chin, the rest of her figure pressing as close as it could while the fea moves along his chest, curving her abdomen as shoulders clear the other's shoulder. Pink flicked out and ran across the lover’s cheek affectionately, velvety chuckles shaking her diaphragm. No, I do not. Whether it be this week or the next month, I care little. Heart lurched at the end of her answer and Dris realizes with amazement that it did indeed matter to her. Something within her had stirred and no longer did she wish to wait for the experience which she knew would be painful and yet exhilarating at the same time. This was held within, however, for words to the contrary had already been released and the vixen was worried about stating something so bold. It would be like demanding it from a lupine like Nira and this was not something she would do to him.
Niravadhi::Dome tips sideways as I regarded the creature that had all but wrapped herself about my form, like a vine scaling a tree trunk. I pressed closer to the raven dove, roan hues disappearing in the longer robing of my lover. Ok, so she didn’t mind. I found it was getting very difficult to think straight at the moment. Was that a bad thing? I wasn’t even too sure at the moment. One thing that I did conclude, was that the sooner I shared my DNA with that of my living shadows, the better. There would come a time, perhaps not so far in the future where my nerve would fail me. I would prefer if that time never came, or came at least after the more physical act of pairing. Tape runs across kissers uneasily as I weighed my chances; the pros the cons…but that attempt failed beautifully. All I was managing to think about was a certain ebony shawl that had the most enticing perfume. Think, Nira. Think I urged myself, trying to find a semblance of control. But even then, another voice spoke in the back of my mind, soft and teasing. Come on. Let go. Just this once. Argh, damnit I curse to myself, before burning sapphires are turned to lock with silver. Now?! Somehow, I had formulated the syllable as both a statement and a question. Oh, well done Nira. Very eloquent, I told myself scornfully, but little effect. Without really knowing what I was doing, I had disentangled myself from the sooty form of my mate, running my lean torso along her flank until I had made a complete circuit around her. Ribbon slips forth from my maw, running gently across her broader features. At some point, I closed my mind, surrendering my entire being to the instinct that was raging through my body. With my eyes closed, I could pretend I was asleep. Anything to fool my mind into being silent and cooperative. Ribbon slowly moves away from facials, running gently across her nape and shoulder and down her foreleg, only to retrace its steps and move on along her back and across her flanks. Orbs flickered open once again, the scent of the lass’ readiness overpowering any last remaining doubts about the subject. All mates did this, didn’t they? Wasn’t it also the act of showing how much one cared for the other – the mutual trust that was needed to allow such activities to pass pleasurably and be strong and supportive when the consequences of such action came into the world. Haunches fall back towards the ground for a moment, before powering my front end upwards, forelegs falling to either side of the maiden’s back, holding me in place. Steps forward are taken, maw locking gently around the charcoal mane of my partner. Positioned in a manner that facilitated the copulation process, I entered the seductress’ body, to be taken aback the entirely new sensation. However much I may have tried to deny it otherwise, it was not the least unpleasant, a searing warmth coursing through my body until I felt as though I were ablaze. Time became irrelevant as we were locked into place beneath the jade canopy of the trees surrounding us. Once my seed had left my body to enter hers, I withdrew, releasing my hold on the lady and wandering backwards, until I was standing on four legs once again. Enamels worry at lower kisser in anxiety, as the enormity of what we had just done hit me. Well, it wasn’t as if we could go back now, I thought dryly, stepping cautiously towards my mate. I didn’t have the slightest idea how she would react, but I suddenly needed to feel her beside me once again, in order to ascertain that she was in fact very much alive and real. Tentative steps forth are taken, until snout brushes softly against the downy black of her chest.

Between this thread and the next, Dris became pregnant, lived with the pack of Forest Rain, and gave birth. This thread occurs after the pups have been born.
Niravadhi::Roan form is curled up in a tight ball, snout tucked away under plume as flanks rise and fall evenly. Sleep had claimed me a fair while ago, and I could feel the stirrings of my body, fighting against the slumber that obscured my senses. I draw out of the murky depths of a hidden world, to find myself in an equal murky darkness. Pupils dilate as gems scan my surroundings, the faintest of shadows and cracks lining the walls of the den around me. Most certainly awake now, I pull myself to my feet, kissers curling slightly at the twinge in my shoulder before I proceeded silently out of the ground. The sky seemed to be heavily laden with dark rain clouds, the moon and stars hidden from sight, and not even the sun had managed to rise from her bed. I chuckled lightly, seating myself upon the cool terra in a silent vigil for dawn to arrive. Not that one would see much in this weather, I mused idly. The very air was cool and crisp, a leaden moisture hanging around me, although there was no fog visible. I shrugged lightly. Dampness wasn't much of a stranger to me really...considering the land of my birth. Time ticked slowly away, the gloom of the world lightening slightly to a dark grey, before moving yet further into a lighter shade of lead. The terra was deathly silent, as though I was the only creature awake to see the transition of night to day. It would be nice to go for a wee wander, I decided, limbs unfolding and pushing me back into the air. A little company wouldn't be amiss either, I think dryly, taking a quick detour via the den. Coal tip is pressed softly against the ebonite cheek of a certain angel, soft tenor lyrics swirling around her form. Would you care for a morning stroll, my dear? I question, my voice light enough in case she would wish to continue sleeping. Ribbon washed gently across her features, my chest feeling horribly light at the mere action...it was foolish really, to allow my entire life's happiness to rest solely upon one creature's shoulders...and yet, I couldn't wish for anything more. The day the temptress had stumbled upon me was certainly the greatest gift fate could have bestowed upon me.

Dris()A cold, damp droplet fell upon ebonite snout, a twitch from the tissue there the only reaction which came from the sleeping beast. Then, another came and others still, landing upon the sprawled form positioned near the edge of the vegetative cove at a rate slow enough to bring annoyance, but not yet quick enough to instigate a fast awakening. Consciousness did however return to the lady soon after the first liquid fell upon her hairs, lids lifting to expose black space from an even darker world. They soon closed again, the thought of rousing still unappealing to the essa despite the tears that fell from the sky. Such drops were light and rather infrequent so they were tolerable and would be there whether or not the creature stirred or not. Senses remained completely intune in spite of the sleeping rouge that had been adopted and easily picked up the nearly silent lumbering of a fellow varg nearby. Just as the pressure is felt against her cheek, nostrils flare, drawling in the familiar, comforting scent of the morning's misplaced love. Mercury pools shine brilliantly in contrast with the shadows surrounding them as shades lifted, bulk shifting to a semi-upright stance. Broad smile meets his words, limbs eagerly adhering to the instant wishes of their master and propelling cage from the earth where it had rested for many hours. I had believed you gone without me this morning. I shall come with you, seeing as my assumptions were wrong. Tape ran affectionately over the bloke's cranium, padders moving lightly over the ground as figure sidestepped, pressing happily against the other's side. It was strange really that more recently the dame had become more adapt to life with offspring and a mate. She no longer awoke with anxiety at finding her companion gone from her side and rather accepted it. His habit of leaving to scout the lands as the sun rose over the horizon was nothing new to the Evil Angel now and mostly was taken as if it were a habit of her own, which, in a way it was. This did not mean she did not miss his presence when her sight returned, but the intensity of such longing grew weaker each day.

Niravadhi::A small smile blossoms across features as the ebonite girl began to stir, the deep silver pools blinking up at me before tones were emitted. I grinned in reply nuzzling the lass' chest as she rose. Indeed, I had contemplated such. But I missed your company. I answered truthfully, pressing my narrow frame against hers and allowing roan to mix with coal. It may sound a little silly, for I was never separated from the temptress for long. But we no longer journeyed together frequently. Perhaps it was my fault, rising early out of many years of habit, and wandering across the lands. Funny really, since it was no longer my task within the pack. A little huff of air passed through kissers, I as set out into the awakening forest, water droplets misting over my coat. The cool damp dawn clung to us, muffling our steps as we moved softly onwards. My gait was a touch unbalanced, my left forelimb not quite extending as far as it righter counterpart. But I could be grateful that nothing more permanent had been left. Once my muscles warmed up, the twinge of stiffness tended to dissipate after all. I point my nose northwards, wondering whether Dris and I could pause by my cave on the mountainside. The place were this whole madness all begun really. I chuckled lightly at the thought. It really was an odd twist of fate...two lupes who were certain never to find love, suddenly bound together irrevocably. Ribbon washes across a sooty tower as I leaned closer to the lass, inhaling her sweet sense and delighting in the body heat that passed between the two of us. Now that the pups had grown, we could hopefully spend some more time together, I hoped. Thinking of the little tyks, I wondered how they were faring. I hadn't seen them all too much lately, though they hadn't wreaked all too much havoc, and thus I wasn't too worried. Still, I didn't want to be a bad father who was never about. Faolyn and Lyulf didn't deserve that.

Dris()Lids flutter, figure leaning into the caresses as a pleased sound rumbles through the lady's chest to welcome her lord's endearments. If this is what ensues when you miss me, perhaps I should wean you from my presence more often. This is spoken as vision returns to the maiden, surfaces of knives seemingly hazy in the darkness that surrounds them as they are exposed to the air while chuckles rattle her cage. Grinning broadly, she follows his lead, happily falling into step behind the roan bloke without feeling the urge to make her assertiveness known. As a dominant and rather independent fatal, it was not an often seen custom for the fea to flank another rather than take point herself. Her love for this particular beast did however keep such tendencies in check whenever he was around. Such an emotion had remained untouched by the changes some other pairings went through as time passed after their first mating. Indeed, it felt as fresh as the day before when the damsel first met her permanent suitor. Despite having two nearly grown pups back in the den, the duo managed to keep their relationship close by sneaking out together every chance that was presented. Times such as these, the vixen relished in her freedom from the constraints of being both a pack member and a mother. Sure, Niravadhi was indeed as well a member of the group and a father, yet the duties he carried out were not the same. He was free to roam about the boarders while Dris remained chained to the innermost quarters of Forest Rain. Which, in truth, the roles should be reversed as the male had most recently received an injury dealt to him by one of the two-legged. Orbs shift to her companion's shoulder and watch with scrutiny each stride he took, noticing the small hitch in his gait which would normally be a sign of weakness had he been a prey animal she hunted. Frowning deeply to herself, the dame remained silent, knowing it was pointless to mention such a flaw to the duke. He well knew it and simply would not listen to her reasoning. As famous as the Evil Angel was for being stubborn, it was truly her mate who now was the most stubborn on such a subject. He would not allow his leg the needed time of rest for, as he put it, the safety of the pack was much more important than his own health. To this, his lover had thrown in the towel without another word though a retort was still burning within cranium. She thought it best to allow the baron to carry out his duties than to force him to remain in the center of the dull life he was unaccustomed to.

Niravadhi::I chuckle lightly at the maiden's words, ribbon washing across her facials. You are removed from my presence often enough, my dear. No need to torture a boy more than necessary. I joke, sapphires sparkling merrily. The lines to my features softened this morning, my complete joy at spending time with Dris erasing the furrows and lining the narrow countenance with a hint of forgotten youth. The sun was about to creep fully across the horizon, the golden light hidden by the thick bank of clouds that shrouded us in a light drizzle. It felt nice and cool upon my coat, the forestry coming alive with scents as the plants drank in the water. There was hardly a sweeter aroma than the rain-drenched woodlands...Though Dris' own special perfume far outreached what the forest could ever provide. I grinned lightly at the thought, glancing backwards at the ebonite angel slipping along in my wake. The trees began to thin out and I drew slightly to the side in an invitation for Dris to move up beside me, now that the path held ample space for our passage. The barren plain stretched out ahead of us, sparse tufts of grass peeking up through the rocky ground, showing that nature was truly unstoppable and amazingly versatile and adaptable. Race you to the mountain. I challenge the girl suddenly, a cheeky smirk pulling at kissers as I shot off ahead of the dark lass. Heart and lungs work in perfect tandem, hardly thrown out of synch by the sudden change of velocity. Hardly surprising really, since I had spent more than enough time strengthening my heart and optimizing my running technique. The damp ground flashes by in a blur of grayed beige, large padders instinctively weaving around the larger rocks, whilst long strides carry me unerringly towards my goal. My shoulder had loosened up with the movement, the sudden increase in blood soothing the taut muscle. Still, my once smooth, almost floating gait had certainly taken a blow that morning. The triple beat my mitts drummed onto the turf was slightly uneven, almost like the soft lilt of a stream tumbling haphazardly down a steep mountainside. I no longer used the left leg to extend first, giving the right forelimb that honor, so as to keep the majority of the impact off my shoulder. It had taken a horribly long while to get used to this mirror-image type running, for I had always had a tendency to favor the left leg to its counterpart. Still, I was nothing if not determined or stubborn, as my dearest mate would no doubt attest to in a heartbeat. Thus, perhaps a little sooner than had been wise, I had taken to working out once more. I only semi-successfully managed to block out my lover's disapproving glances, but she knew me well enough not to stir up an argument that neither of us would drop easily. Harks flicker backwards to track Dris' progress, the shadow of the mountain looming up ahead. I was running flat-out now; narrow frame pushed close to the ground and stretched long as I all but flew across the land in a silvery-blue blur. For all that my altered method of running had been uncomfortable to begin with; it was beginning to feel like second nature.

Dris()The damsel smile at his comment, but said nothing more on the light-hearted subject, which would be a first for her. Gaze that was directed towards the floor watched as daggers sunk into the moistened ground with each step. Barely could she see the short tuffs of fur lining the top of her padders and extending didgets, the darkness of the still early morning combined with the shadows cast by the trees upon the ground making it hard to distinguish between tissue and earth. Slowly, the droplets falling from the sky began to siphon off and finally cease to hit the lass's pelt all together, drawing her attention to the clouds that, with their load lightened, were floating off across the vast space. Suddenly, as if the passing shower were some sort of omen, the rays of the sun broke through the wall of vegetation created by the forest and warmed the damsel's hide beneath the layer of hair, the pair having entered into the less populated portion of the wood without the fatal's notice. Chin turned east, silvery depths shimmering in a rough contrast with the shade of endless locks, pure enjoyment lighting features as the light dew that still clung to strands dried. Attentions return to the male, one part of nature forgotten in exchange for another. With a satisfied grin, limbs stretched out, stride lengthening slightly to bring their master to the side of her lover, mass purposefully brushing against his. Smirking confidently, eyes are directed slowly to the grasslands before them, the sight instantly causing recognition. Surprise at his challenge jerked muzzle towards the bloke, only to find his rump to be even with her chest, hinds having already propelled him forward. Laughter emits forth from cavern before the essa sets her mind, the competitive temper fueling the urge to answer his dare. Lungs took in an excess of oxygen, supplying enough molecules to the lady's organ just before itching leggings are released, taunt muscles calling out in ecstasy at the freedom. Mechanical rhythmus are automatically set, feet beating against the grasses in a fury, crushing the slightly yellowing cover without effort. The silent, deadly hunter chased her beloved target, tongue dangling from one side of mouth as jaws remained parted, figure nearly parallel with the sod. At first, she gained some on her companion and yet, as it seemed he became more comfortable in the modified gait, their speed match one anothers; neither pulling away from the other. With her crown poised at his hip, she broke the concentration and lurched forward once to nip at the soft flesh as gently as she could manage while still being sure to hit her target. Instantly, form veered off to the left. At first, it was to avoid retaliation, but then became for an entirely other purpose as memory lodged a savored scene from the past within the Evil Angel's brain. Path was set straight, calculations quickly denoting land marks she needed to find and pass in order to be sure of her directions truth. Finding the first, the second soon came into view, a thrill running through cage that would have under calmer circumstances sent a shiver over surface. Glancing back with a glint in her eye, the maiden questioned whether or not the baron recognized their surroundings, knowing he would have surely followed her out of devotion if not simple curiosity at where she was headed. Soon enough, the pair were forced to climb, the ground beneath their mittens becoming steeper. A small hill; her last point of interest before the destination could be reached. Grinning broadly, Dris was the first to reach the crest, pace slowing to a steady trot as she headed towards the cave, entering its depths and waiting for the duke patiently inside.

Niravadhi::Harks flicker back to track Dris' progress, though it was hardly necessary, my awareness prickling as she drew near. I pressed myself closer to the ground, my stride lengthening just a touch until we were racing at equal speeds, the girl's ebonite tip hovering by my hipbone. A grin blossoms across guise as the foot of the mountain drew closer and closer, the grey stone slope rearing steeply upwards. My pace slowed a fraction as I prepared to pull the brakes before hitting the upwards slope, only to experience a twinge of pain upon my flank. Crown snaps about to see the cause, to find Dris' lithe form streaking off to the left. A small chuckle passed across kissers as I deduced the origin of the nip to my flesh, before I started out in pursuit of the lass, padders pounding into the ground as I sought to make up the distance between us. I allowed my entire awareness to flood out onto tracking the lass, every fibre of my being concentrated on the sooty form dancing before me. I paid little heed to my surroundings, trusting my mate...and reasoning, that in the unlikely event that we did manage to lose ourselves, we would at least be together. Then the ground began to rear up beneath my mitts, breath hissing between clenched jaws as I fail to soften the impact upon my left shoulder. Mentally scolding myself, hinds propel me upwards, my gait less fluid as I sought a new mechanism for running up steep slopes. It was something I had not thought about previously, and it irked me beyond measure that I had not contemplated the matter. The lupe is, however one wishes to look at it, resourceful, and thus, I improvised, no longer working at a steady triple beat. Instead, a small hop is added, relieving my injured limb from the strain of bearing my entire weight for a fraction of time. Satisfied that I was no longer running the risk of damaging myself further - for then Dris would surely no longer keep her counsel - I started off in pursuit of the lady once more, sapphires catching sight of a crooked rock standing haphazardly by the wayside. A grin flashes across features as I recognized my surroundings, limbs propelling me the final embankment, and onto the rocky ledge that led into a cavern we had frequented once so many months ago. Flanks heave as I drew breath rapidly, my muscles demanding oxygen as recompense for their work. Don't tell me you've mastered the art of telepathy, love. I tease after a moment, slipping over to her raven structure and rubbing my narrow muzzle up her flank and along her shoulder before tape flicks across her cheek.

Dris()With the rush of his challenge slowly seeping out of the fatal's carcass, her mind returned to its usual, unclouded state. Free was she now to feel the ache of her tired muscles from the strain of the exertion; free to bow her head and pant; free to allow panic to settle over her mind as the reminder of the injury sustained by her mate comes flooding back to consciousness. Form jerks back to attention, limbs carring cage in a hurried manner towards the den's opening. Just as figure steps forth into the slight beam of sunlight pushing its way through the shadows, she is met by her companion, his ecstatic, beaming smile easing the fears of his mistress, if only for a short while. Grin is allowed to crease features in return, soft laughter emitting a little strained while he moves past her, abdomen twisting in order to follow his lead. Form pulls alongside his, ribbon only then snaking forth from cavern to run over short, roan hairs covering the bloke's countenance, smug lyrics coming in sequence after the action. What sort of mate would I make if I was not able to comprehend the heart's desires of my lover? This particular ability should not be a surprise to you now. Teasing expression turns slowly serious as body moves around to obtain an easily accessed view, silver depths staring without mercy at the shoulder in question. Perhaps it was a subject of distress between the pair, but at the moment, it certainly was a concern which the essa felt was impossible to ignore any longer. Glancing back at the drake, worry is evidently etched upon facade while she maintains her unsatisfying distance from him. Is it bothering you too terribly from the journey? Disquieted tunes question, leggings only now pressing mass closer. It was nearly painful to keep much space between them and despite the lady's expanse of determination; she caved to the desire to be within Niravadhi's immediate presence within a matter of moments.

Niravadhi::I laughed at the vixen's reply, the warm sound filling the cavern and bouncing off the stone walls. It was true, really, though more often than not, it was Dris who could read my thoughts, rather than the other way around. It must have to do with her thought patterns - the lass having always been more emotive than myself. Mirthful gaze remains fixed upon the girl, my own tones dancing back across the void. You'd be a less entertaining mate, darling. I quipped, shifting back on my haunches slightly to redistribute my weight, sapphires sparkling in the gloom. Still, you are generally better at this telepathy aspect that I am...care to share? I didn't really expect there to be much to learn - after all, Dris could read me like a book. Which was funny really, but when examined in detail, I could read Dris in much the same manner. A gift between lovers, one could hypothesize. Kissers curl upwards as I notice the slight straining in the girl's body, as though she wished to move....but didn't. At the next song, the grin fades from my countenance slightly, dome twisting to look in the same direction as the almost accusatory mercury gaze. It has been better, it has been worse. I reply concisely. There was little point in hiding that snippet of information, especially when the temptress could easily devise a sneaky plan to force me to play my hand. Noticing her forwards motion, I move forwards to meet her, roan caressing ebony before my muzzle moves slowly across her shoulder and nape, before finally coming to a halt by her lobe. Don't worry for me, my love. Tunes are soft, my breath tickling the sooty fibres atop her dome. I know my boundaries well enough to know when to stop, and this run is well beneath the threshold. The words spoken, I busied myself with the love in question, ribbon washing softly across her snout and cheeks, before dome slips beneath hers to rub against the soft chest-fur.

Dris()Hm. Cords muse as they vibrate violently for a short period of time at the replied she had asked for, a skeptical look shooting in his direction at his plea for furthered knowledge. Voids rolled in sockets, formation settling weight upon rump as she took a position beside him, snout jutting him in the uninjured shoulder fondly. Do not attempt to flatter me, love. I know perfectly well your skills at reading myself and they are none the less adequate than my own at predicting you. You certainly need none of my instruction. Posture relaxed, an easy composure overtaking facade while the maiden waited for the report from her companion on the health of his mostly healed wound, forcing the anxiety from features till it resided only in the deepest cell of her body, hardly bothering her at all when confined to such a small space. Unamused glare narrowed slits around iron depths at his impertinent reply, crown shaking in disbelief before muzzle snaked forward, deadly incisors nipping flesh in a reprimanding way. How boldly you speak in riddles to your mate! Your mother should have punished you more as a youth. Lyrics teased playfully, manner relaxed enough for such enjoyment now that the initial worry was past and the essa was reassured of his fitness. Shades closed delicately over surfaces as the bloke pressed forwards, soothing her further with both words and actions. Grateful for the attention being paid, the maiden's figure leaned forward, breathing steady while all tension left muscles. Sighing with contentment, she opened her eyes to gaze fondly at the baron, ribbon running along the length of his snout and chin. Surely you know me by now, Niravadhi. I shall always worry for you, even if you are well learned about your own body. It is merely a consequence of my love. A rare, sweet smile spread across ebony countenance, tiara tilting slightly while loving gaze roamed over roan features, finding them nearly unchanged from when she had first looked upon them. It was amazing how much life could unfold in a manner of moon changing’s, leaving something’s unchanged while entire existences were altered. Seemingly gone was the fatal's usual cocky attitude which she had clung to with such energy in the years before, but some spunk continued to linger within Dris' veins. Dropping the innocent guise, a mischievous light entered into mercury liquids, igniting a flame there that had not been seen for a long while. Moving closer, shadowy strands mingled with his salt and pepper mixture, tape washing masculine features before bodice completely left his side, cage twisting as the fea rolled over onto her back, front paw batting playfully at his jaw with a childish grin shining upwards.
