Saunter engaged lengthy pillars a steady rythm maintained almost like a metronome in his head, if it kept the lingering thoughts at bay he was content. The thoughts were like a disease as soon as he let his gaurd down they seemed to take over causing him a splitting head ache. The flash of faces of his past crossed before him. The headstrong girl he had been forced to marry within an arranged marriage in order to keep his freedom. He had been a part of a 'club' of assasins in Italy all ten of them cramped into quarters not suited for even two. Communal showers, bland and tasteless meals followed by rigorous exercises in order to keep them too weak to rebel. Or so the captors thought. Upon seeing the male turning into a dangerous direction a plot was used to break him into submission. Caprice. The stunning beauty had played him like he was an object for her amusement. Whispering seductive words that might have made any other man bow to her as if she was a goddess though he was not that dumb even though they had snuck around he knew that the 'club' had been linked to it since it was impossible to sneak around there. Just before she was set to put her plan of 'ridding' the male into place she was found beaten to a pulp in the quarters with him no where to be found. The monster within the male swelling to overtake control. For so long he was just a passenger in his life. It was years before he gained any sense of control. Once he turned himself into a model citizen he vowed never to allow this beast to take control. The lack of mercy he had, terrified him. He had slipped up though. Axel's father Victor had found him and in exchange for his freedom bound him to his daughter. Set to marry the headstrong maiden. At first it seemed to be a match made in hell. Their personalities clashed. Though he had grown to appreciate the lady for what she was and ended up falling for her. Telling her some of his darkest and deepest secrets when in reality there would never be a person that he would tell the entirety to. Then one fateful morning after an evening of a large fight the lady was found lifeless within her bedroom. Victor had mercilessly slaughtered his own daughter leaving him alone before their date set to be married. The cold persona the male now inflicted a result of the haunting memories. After that he had met Harlen. The shy and sweet girl taking his heart from the very beginning. That had been during the time of Hitari the reclusive haven deep within the heart of Africa. The place he had built up from the ground. By her side he had healed and come to love again only for her to leave suddenly one night. Sure she returned but it had never been the same and he had ended up forcing her away. Clearly he had not had his luck with the ladies so now he was back to the meaningless one night stands that had once ruled his life. Alcohol had no affect on him so at least that bad habit would be pointless for him. Palm ran through nearly ebony locks smoothing tousled locks since he had not bothered to look in the mirror after his shower this morning. Palms were then pushed back into the dark denim that encased muscles lower torso. It was unusual to not see him in dress pants though lately he had been slacking from lack of motivation and lack of caring. Though a charcoal Ralph Lauren polo shirt still graced his well muscled chest. The crisp scent of what would be recognized as Hugo Boss adorned chest flitting in the small breeze around him. Steady breaths control the rate at which carbon was expelled and un needed oxygen drawn in knowing the mortals would never notice the difference though he had trained himself in hope to live a regular life amongst the human population. The neon signs of the city blurred his peripheral vision as gaze then turned to the sky contemplating the sky for a moment picking out several different constellations although they were mostly hidden by a cloak of clouds. Insides churn upon seeing a group of already drunk girls cross the road turning to look at him with a small whistle in appreciation and a glare narrowed azure eyes. He was not in the mood at the moment. Maybe later. No interest was held as he passed right by them on the street feet careful to navigate the sidewalk skipping the cracks and the lines that divided the large panes. It was a game he enjoyed playing anything to keep his mind off things. Ivories clamp his bottom lip as he thought of the gun metal grey car that used to sit in storage beneath a well known drug dealers house. The stunning car no longer resided there. In a fit of rage when Harlen had left the second time he had crashed the car right into a solid rock face. The car was so totalled there was not too much left of it but of course he lived through it after all that was the idea of immortality. That was not saying that he had not been scathed though. Many broken bones resulted from his utter stupidity and the owner of the underground garage had found him knowing the state he had been when he had taken the car out. He had been in a comatose state for just over a week within the addicts house. At least at that time his physical health was lacking as much as his mental health. Since then he had adopted a new theory though he would try to raise his spirits out of self pity and lead a normal life though there was not a whole lot left to make him happy. He could not help but the small laugh that bubbled when he pictures the extents he went through to get a little thrill out of life. I mean what more can beat getting into a high speed car accident and living through the whole ordeal. After that he had travelled to Hawaii even though he disliked the place and forced himself into a shark cage. Sharks having always been one of his largest fears though not a single soul but himself knew of this. Veering off the main road a dark alley was taken in the direction of the park a place he found himself lingering in more and more. Ignoring the shadows that shifted around him in the alley a brow was raised as a man that looked like he had a few too many doses of heroin approached him and a smirked played on maw. The man indulged in some mindless rambling of how the world was set to end in 2011. Though clearly he had gotten the year wrong since the movie 2012 had just come out in theaters. Eyes were rolled in their sockets though he knew this would be the highlight of the old mans day since he was sure that no one gave the man a chance to finish his rant. After he was finished he stumbled back to where he had been residing against the back of a dumpster. With a small sigh parting pallid kissers he then continued on his way through the dark alley dodging sketchy material that was laid out on the ground before him. He did not understand why the street people continued to live in the manner that they did. Head was shook silently and to himself. Strides lengthen carrying himself within the park. The foliage was navigated as she drew farther from the main path though his sense of direction never wavered. The gurgling of small creek caught in accute hearing and direction changed towards the source. Reaching the crystalline liquid he kneeled in front of the rushing water. Clear droplets splashed on his face though he knew it was not likely to wash the haze from his mind. Out here deep within the wilderness was the only place he even remotely felt at ease. Tense muscles started to relax. Breaths came at a more even level and eyes were pressed closed for a brief moment though other senses were kept at high alert. The only memory of his childhood stemming from sitting within the treetops he embraced the feeling with a hearty leap digits grasp the lower branch of a large oak tree strength straining to lift bulky frame onto the branch. The wood large enough for him to stretch out on. Spine resting against the back of the tree and legs folding out before him. The sounds of night within the forest lulling him into an almost trancelike state.

Leggings blurred as the fatal dashed through the night, jumping over bushes and the fallen reminants of giants, covering ground quickly. Broad smile broke out across chisled features, the tradition attributes of her ancesters clearly shown to any who came in contact with the girl. High cheek bones, thin, slightly boney face, well defined nose with subtle nostrils, and full lips marked her as one of the Crow tribe, although the blood that ran through her veins was diluted some with that of the white man which showed through her milky skin tone. The greeting of an owl was caught by over sensative lobes as she dashed by, barely having to pause to call out a return coo. Crackling leaves and heavy panting drew attention off to the right, expression changing to that of a small frown, but quickly returning to one of pure joy at the sight of her blood brothers running along side her. The ebony leader looked in her direction, meeting the well known emerald pools of the human and called out a challenging bark before lengthing out and pushing himself ahead of her. Laughter broke free from lips, a determined grin pulling at kissers as mask was leveled and the maiden pushed herself harder, arms pumping at her sides and feet nearly brushing against her rump as they came up in a rotating rythum. Glancing occasionally over at the wolven, the woman called out in triumph as she burst ahead of the creature, reaching the clearing before him and the pack, only then allowing herself to slow and breath to catch up with her. Panting slightly, she bent over briefly, hands bracing her weight upon thighs, orbs watching the pack as they eased down to a walk also and quickly surrounded her, yipping and jumping with playfulness. Giggling at their antics, she lept for the silver beta, growling teasingly as she did so and allowing herself to fall to the ground. Laying upon her back, lids lifted to allow her to view the stars, a soft sigh causing chest to rise and fall quickly. It didn't take them long to pile on her, tongues snaking out of maws to rasp against bare skin of her arms and face. Laughing again, her hands moved wildly, petting each of the members upon the head or neck, whichever was closer, as they took their turn greeting her. Finally, a sharp bark called an end to play time and the beasts left her, reluctantly returning to their monarch's side to await further instruction. Sitting up, Bri looked towards the alpha, watching as he approached and licked her face once affectionatly, mind barriers weakening as she allowed the other spirit to merge with hers. Palm stroked the bloke's cheek affectionatly, a sad longing filling the lass, but she knew it was not her own, but that of the varg within her. Hand fell back to the ground as the alpha turned away, returning to his pack and giving the order to continue on with their nightly hunt, leaving her alone in the clearing. Grunting slightly, arms pushed torso upwards and limbs lifted being into a stand, the animal spirit again retreating to it's section of the mortal's mind. Poor Caza. The essa missed her place in the pack. Forcing herself to forget it, the lass moved on, stepping silently back into the cover of the forest's shadows and continueing with her survey. Upon reaching a certain part of the wood she knew rather vagely, a strange scent wafted into her nares, bringing with it the rank smell of human colone. Wrikling her nose warringly, the vixen crept forth stealthfully, using the trees to mask her presance as she heeded her Teacher's warning to be careful. The aroma was one that she had come to associate with the dead, yet something told her that no deceased human lay on the ground ahead of her. Jade depths jumped back and forth, scanning the area before her as she moved onward. A snapping sort of noise from above caught her attention and as she breathed in, the aura from before came to her even stronger, nearly bringing tears to her eyes at the strength. Tilting tiara with curiousity, she studied the male who lounged upon the limb about twenty feet above her head for a moment, wondering how he got to the spot. Making a quick, reckless decision, figure burst forth from the brush, heading towards the truck of a nearby tree at rapid speed. At the last moment, she jumped and foot braced against the trunk, pushing her from its surface and towards another truck, the same manover being pulled off as she reversed and flew at the first tree, hands extended and reaching for a limb at the level of her head. Grabbing hold, the damsel instantly used her momentum and strength to swing herself to the top of the limb, legs wrapping around thick arm. Not long after, the fatal found herself sitting on top of the giant's arm facing the man, crown tilting at him. You are quite easy to scent from many miles away. And that perfume you wear does little to cover the stench of death that clings to you.

Lower appendages stretched out before him leisurely as a sigh parted pallid kissers as a gentle exhale of carbon was expelled back into the atmosphere in the form of microscopic dew particles. Creating what might have looked like a puff of smoke, a clear indication of the temperture of the night starting to set in the darkened forest, though the male was not affected by the frigid air. Arms were crossed over well muscled chest, digits closer over his biceps in a relaxed manner, eyes flickered open as the noise of what sounded like wolven decent travelled in a pack to accute hearing, pupils dilate to adjust to the dim lighting though nothing fell in his line of vision assuring him they were not near enough to spot him. They passed by without so much of a hesitation to where he was located. Though he did not overly worry since he was up high in the tree top and would be protected by the foliage, he simply was not in the mood for an altercation. The sound of human footsteps running at the same pace of the wolves was noted as well though it was clear that the wolves were not on a hunt and were not chasing her as prey since there was no screaming and no tension that drifted his way. Interest sparked at this, a human running with wolves? It must be another immortal such as himself since wolves would not simply allow a two legged creature to join them. Mind drifted from the subject as the terrain grew silent, with no motivation to track them eye lids fell closed over pools plunging him into the dark abyss that was his mind. Though this inner peace thing he had going on did not last long, the small rustle that seemed as though something or someone was trying to be sneaky brought his attention back to the ground below him. He did not acknowledge it though single pool only opened a slit to stare in the downward direction as a girl appeared. Was this the human that had been running with the wolves? Though her scent was not of a mere mortal she was definately something more like he suspected when he had heard the pack. As several swift motions carried the girl to sitting in front of him eyes opened lazily. A small smirk pressed on pallid kissers as he accessed the situation. The girl had been almost stealthy enough to sneak up on a vampire therefore she was of Native decent and he knew that before he even scanned her features. She had been the one to approach so therefore he waited for her to speak before he would make a comment. Trust me dear if I had been trying to not be seen even with the stench you would have never found me, as for the smell, at least I don't smell like I have been rolling around with dogs. His dry humor almost made him chuckle though he held this at bay. Death, hmm I tried that once, it didn't work out so good for me. Intriuge was held in the strange creature that sat before him. Azure optics scan her facial features for a hint at what might be going on behind the mask though he failed miserably since after all he was a male and slightly clueless when it came to the female gender. As for what she was he failed to pinpoint that though he narrowed it down to not a human and not a vampire which in reality did not leave too many other options. Optics rest on emerald eyes that he knew were not traditional in the Native heritage, though what did he know. Frame straightened a little as he shifted and pulled knees closer to her chest. Providing a little more space between the two he was a little apprehensive of the creature and a little bitter though he was that way to the entire world.

Legs swing leisurely back and forth beneath the limb upon which she sat, innocent mask continuing to watch the male as he surveyed her before offering lyrics in return for her own. Smile drew fresh lips away from knives, liquids looking away from him then to stare instead at the large trunk to her side. Arm raised hand, delicate fingers running over the rough surface of the bark, tracing the intricate, mysterical pattern before drawling her hand back to her body, allowing it to rest upon the limb beside her thigh. Dogs make for better company than the dead. Tunes chime softly, depths still finding more interest in the ancient giant than in the strange man opposite her. Dome whipped in his direction suddenly at the careless way he produced this confession to her, frown creasing fine features as the maiden looked over the bloke again, trying to wrap her mind around what he had spoken. Death will not be rushed. Your time has yet to come. Words are spoken slowly, each syllable being perfectly articulated as they were formed by mouth, expression still oddly concentrated and passive. The baron had just fixed the lass with another perpelxation by his speech. Why had he wanted to die before his time? Suicide was to crush one's spirit, something which her beliefs caused the fea to bawlk at in horror. To kill oneself would be to damn ones spirit to an eternity of aimless wandering in the lands between the world of the living and the world of ghosts. What occurance would ever make a being trade temporary suffering for endless loneliness? Besides that, what was this duke who looked human and smelled of death? How was it that his mere presance set her ill at ease, as if he were unnatural for she was keenly in touch with all of nature and only something which was not apart of this could cause her to feel this way. Even The Hunter did not stir such feeling within her inards. How is it that you smell of decay? I have never met another that has your aroma. It is strange to all ofme. Lifting jade duo to meet his eyes, the essa spoke, unable to contain the question anylonger for her curiousity grew by the second and even her Teacher could offer no explanation to appease the young lass' hunger for knowledge. The wolf knew nothing of this strangers origins and as such was all the more warry of him, ready to take control at the slightest sign that he ment harm to her dear girl. Caza at least was no stranger to combat, although she kept that information sheilded from Bri, knowing she has much still to learn before being able to handle a warlike situation while at the same still able to use reason to work out problems rather than turn to violence. Unconciously, the damsel pressed closer to him, leaning in as she awaited his answer with intensely bright surfaces, the focus found there unbefitting her age and exotic sort of beauty.

An amused smirk crossed the males features though it did not hold the cold and sinister feeling that it did on so many others. Pools were still calm and collected since it took a lot to get him riled up now. So if this statement is true then why did you leave the company of them to come chat with me? He questioned. Brow raised slightly this girl definately had caught his curiousity pushing his thoughts and ponderances aside to focus on her. He watched as her hand reached out to touch the tree. The texture observed and surely stored in her mind. She then told him that death will not be rushed as if it was prophetic saying though little did she know that if nature had had its way with him he would have been dead over a century ago. Unfortunately her beliefs did not apply to a being so corrupted by the passings ow of time. The innocence that encased her features seemed to draw him closer wondering more and more about her. As he then reflected on the words she just spoke he thought for a moment on how to respond a somber look crossing her features and if you looked close enough a pained expression might have shown though he hid it well and the emotionless mask was then plastered to features once again. Had it been a couple minutes ago he might have made a smart ass comment about his time having come and gone long before she was even born though he was starting to shut himself off. His gaurd was raising to cut him off from her interrogations. If only you knew. Was the only comment he was able to muster. By now the warning bells in her mind would or rather should be going off. He was a strange creature and even though he was built to be enticing he had a very dangerous air that seemed to float around him. He knew that he should simply jump down from the tree and leave her there though he found himself drawn to the innocence and beauty of the girl. If the next statement did not cause alarm nothing would. Something he was sworn to not tell another soul he found himself all too willing to tell her. I am a vampire, not by choice. He found himself adding the last part as if he was trying to make himself look more acceptable. He even appalled himself by this why would he care about what she saw him as why was he trying to hide he was a monster when it was something that would never change? He would not be suprised if she jumped from the branch like someone shot her and ran back to the wolves this very instant. After all it had happened before.

Shrugs lifted shoulders at his question of why she had come to talk to him, gaze turning to look out across the dark, shadowy lands to her side, a far away howl of one of her brethern, the alpha to be exact, floating out across the breeze as if knowing her thoughts were turned to them. A longing look crossed features for a moment, the two spirits mingling together once again, before the fea composed herself and shook off the emotion, unsure of whether it was something she truely felt or if it was an emotion which had crossed the barrier between the two minds. Facade turned back to the male, meeting his pair easily. They are hunting. I cannot join them on a hunt. Finding you was rather a consequence of Guarding, however. I did not leave them to seek you out. Conversation suits me at present, anyhow. Vocals offer in reply, cheek being shown to him as she again looked out across the way, this time at the canopy of the firs streaching out in front of her. Lobes caught his softly uttered syllables that were a retort to her outward broodings about Death and a small, hidden frown crossed features, curiousities newly aroused now. What had he ment by this? What could he have ment by this? "If only you knew." Such a strange thing to say! Visionage whipped in his direction as he spoke the answer to her question without hesitation, sockets widening with surprise for this was far from what she had expected. At that instant, as orbs met his, Caza lept to the surface and a growl broke forth from her kissers, emerald depths suddenly turning very wolfish as form hunched down some as if in a defensive position and leggings haulted their silly swinging back and forth below the essa. No! Wait! He hasn't given any sign that he means to harm us! Please. Let me talk to him some more. An inner battle sparked within the essa, human fighting against varg to regain control of the body, facade loosing its furiousity in consequence for the loss of concentration. "He is dangerous! You know as well as I the stories of his kind! No, I will not allow him to remain in my forest anylonger." Determined thoughts shoot back in reply, the Teacher refusing to budge despite her pupils pleading. He has not posed a threat to anything here. We are still here, does that not prove anything? Just then, the elder's resolved weakened, allowing the girl to gain control and look up at the bloke, breathing slightly elevated for a moment. Sorry. I did not realize the tales my people have told for generations of your kind were true. Lyrics admit, dwindling off as she looks down, frowning with concentration. What had the stories said? Vampires were living dead, the creatures of the night who hunted human's for their blood source. Most stayed away from the Native American lands, however, as to why they did so, that still differed with the origin of the story.

He was able to sense just how attuned to nature she was and he could not help but be a little jealous. As long as he lived even with as much knowledge as he could gain he would never be that way. He would never be the type that could be around animals without them getting hysterical from just the scent of a predator nor could he feel the breeze that rustled the leaves. A small sigh parted pallid kissers as eyes were then directed to the foliage as the small rustle of a forest creature caught his attention the rabbit scurried out of the underbrush only to make a beeline for the next place of hiding. His muscles had tense from the rustle though quickly the tension was released. As she stated that conversation suited her a small smile crossed his features in a friendly manner since he seemed as though he felt the same way. Though all of the friendliness came to a halt abruptly as he told her what he was. It was funny though if he had not told her anything it would have all been fine they would have continued talking, pointless banter but now her hackles were up and it became clear for him to understand what she was now. She was a shifter. A natural sworn enemy to the vampiric beings though he did not understand why when they were so much similiar having to live in hiding away from the public eye. He did not ponder this too long but looked rather amused at the girl as she looked just about ready to pounce on him. Sinnehs tense a little though that was the only indication of stress in the situation. It was strange for him to not even have to restrain the urges to combat the one that threatened his well being. It was a sense of self preservation that had saved him many times. Though the innocent look that had been held deep within her pools crossed his mind and optics remain soft and understanding. If anything amounted he would simply flee. Why he didnt right now he was unsure. His patience was starting to wear thin though and joints aid him standing to his entire six foot two frame. I did not mean to breach your territory. Honest mistake. It was clear he had no intentions of confrontation. Knees bent to allow frame to crouch bringing behind to rest on his heels while the branch beneath his feet was grasped. As soon as digits close tightly around the branch bulk is dropped off where they had sat and in one fluid motion frame is swung gracefully to the ground. Sorry I did not realize the tales my people have told for generations of your kind were true. The words stung a little. As was true of any race it was amazing how a couple were able to make such bad names for the entirety. As I have heard stories of your own race and yet I do not believe condemning the vast majority for the corruption of a couple members. Words were spoken a little more abruptly then he had hoped. Even if she was to get fired up and switch to her wolven form there was little chance of him getting hurt, a shape shifter against a fully grown vampire? Though he would not harm her. His silent vow was still being upheld. There had been no murders in his life for a solid 30 years, sure two wrongs never make a right though he prided himself on being a model citizen now. The monster he had once been was stuffed so deep within his being he was unsure what would trigger it, if anything. Ivories clamp his bottom lip in thought he did not move though he would wait for her to speak once more before he continued on his journey.

Chin lifts swiftly as the man moves to a stand, expression nearly emotionless while regretful depths watch him, following as figure crouches down and is pushed from the limb, feet landing heavily upon the earthen crust. Voids shifted to where her hand lay upon the giant's arm, forefinger picking at the bark once again without forcing any of the protective covering loose. She expected him now to leave, her moment of split agendas having gotten in the way again. Soft sigh escaped at the though, the inner barrier of her mind weakening to allow inner communication. Why can't we be at harmony? The innocent child asked her teacher, feeling as if the war between them was her fault. "We are two souls in one body, conflict is only to be expected. Do not fret, my child. In time, I shall become less of a presance and only emerge when you call for me or most need me. Then we will be more of one entity." Consoled a bit, the maiden pulled herself out of her mind, glancing downward and finding with surprise that the male had remained. Remaining upon the branch for a moment longer, she listened to his words, flinching slightly at the edge they held. Without allowing much thought, the damsel dropped from her seat, bodice twisting and hands grabbing the limb, frame suspended there for a second before it dropped to the ground, knees bending to keep skeleton intact. Indeed, the bones which supported her mass were weak in comparison to her companion's. The shifter was not industructable, where as the vampire was nearly such. Straightening, front turned to face him, arm extended out to rest palm flatly against the truck of the tree they had both inhabited a few minutes prior. The forest is it's own master. I can not claim it, but am merely the guardian of all its inhabitants. Appendage fell back to her side then as tunes paused, jade pools locked upon him now, curious as to how he would react to her now. I ment not to lay the blame of your race's horrors upon you. If that is how you took it, I am sorry. Apology flowed out easily, the lass surprisingly well spoken and educated for her age. She was not surprised that he had easily guessed that she as well was not human. After all, the characteristics of the wolf had shown upon features when Caza had taken over, had they not? Canines chewed softly at lower lip, wondering what sort of stories he could tell her about other shifters. What destruction had they caused? What deaths? It wasn't like the information horrified her or surprised her. From what little she knew about her other half, it was quite believeable that the beast was capable of evil things. Do you ever feel like the creature inside is fighting against your human side? Like there is a war over and two sides are battling for possession?

Weight was shifted as he stood beneath the large tree that he previously had been sitting in. A small sigh parted rose kissers though it was barely audible. He listened to her speech about how the forest did not belong to anyone which he knew was true though it still did not matter since he still felt a little awkward being within the realm that the wolf shifter protected for her..... pack? He did not really know what to call it since he did not know whether they were humans or shifters or whether they were just wolves. Though that would be a question if he decided to linger. Which he was not too sure of yet. For now though she seemed to want his company so he would stay just as long as his welcome was not worn out. He knew that it was likely that she was simply curious about him and what he was. Pools were still gaurded as he gazed up to her still in the tree. He did not even really acknowledge the apology since he had never taken the words that had come before it to heart. A small smile appeared on features as she finished her apology it even reflected within azure pools. Optics meet hers with a new sense of softeness that had not previously been reflected. He was starting to appreciate the girls mind set. Although she was young and had not experienced even nearly as much as he had she still fought to keep her mind open. Giving him the benefit of the doubt. It was clear to see that she was battling with a little more then just her own mind which really made him wonder though he would not pry. Shifting sideways a little weight is taken off legs as spine is rested against the trunk of the same tree. The bark providing a cushion against the harsh wood surface. As she asked him if he ever felt like there was two sides battling inside him he realized that he was asking him a personal question that only a couple people in the world would be able to relate to so he felt a little closer to the female despite the previous incident. He thought for a moment before speaking. Rarely now, But I have had many years to silence that internal battle. If you asked me long ago I would tell you all the time. Though I would not know what it would be like for a shifter. He thought back to his time in Italy. Ivories clamp his bottom lip. It just occurred to him that in this time they had been talking even though some of the subjects had been personal they had not yet made introductions though for some reason it did not feel important. Though he knew that it was proper thing to do since it would reflect badly on his manners. I am sorry that I neglected introductions. I am Dario.

Pair dropped from his once the words were past her lips, shyness suddenly becoming a potent condition. She had been bold; perhaps too bold to have asked such a personal question of the male. They did not know one another. What right did she have to inquire about his affairs? In her tribe, she would have been shunned for being so brazen, although, it was not like she was welcomed with open arms presently. The lady could not help herself when presented with an oppertunity to speak with someone much like herself: different. Of coarse, her people were used to the Choosen ceremony and recongized its importance in their society, but they still all treated her as an outsider; a dangerous being who was unpredictable. Caza could not, or rather, would not explain as to why this was to the girl. Gaze rose to look at him again, a sigh escaping at the information he supplied her with. Time. Such a punishing thing. All of us are forced to wait on Father Time and he, out of spite it seems, allows us to tarry, suffering with our wants, hopes, dreams until we loose all ambition. Only then will he speed up the passage and we, broken, are no longer able to acomplish the goals which we set out. It is the same for me as it was long ago for you. I am still much the pup as I have only been the Guardian for neigh over a year. I am told with time my spirits will settle. I wish the world would hasten in its turning and wisdom would flee from its abyss to expose itself to me. Yearning look crossed features, its painful light fighting its way into mossy depths as they looked off towards the sky, silver illuminesant orb becoming visible as the dark clouds rolled off, uncovering its brilliant light. Attention returns to the duke as he introduces himself, a smile spreading across delicate features. Finely shaped hands make tribal motions, grin widening just as mouth forms sounds. Many pleasures, Dario. I am Bricaza, but you may call me simply Bri. Only those of my tribe tend to use my combined name. Smile faultered a bit after that, the rememberance poisoning thoughts. Her new name had come with the Choosing and now that was how everyone, including her own parents, addressed her. They said it was a sign of respect, but she felt that it was them singling her out.

As the female looked to the moon a small smile lingered on handsome features. So many times he met people that were simply oblivious to the natural beauty of the land. He had enough time in his life to digest that the material things simply did not matter since they did not pass with you into the next realm, happiness was truly all that mattered and while the past couple decades had been difficult for him he vowed to turn over a new leaf, to find something that truly made him happy. For the past couple months he had been trying his hardest to find that and yet it seemed impossible causing his state of mind to drop to an all time low, the night of the self inflicted car accident. He longed to prove he was no different from anyone else not invincible. He longed to simply be normal, that is what would make him happiest and yet it was the only thing he would never have. A pang hit close to home as a pain in his chest coursed through his entire body. His search for humanity had been long lived and just in the past little while it seemed that he was no longer driven by the blood lust that had been so prevolent in the first years of his change, he was no longer fighting every instinct in his body when around humans. He was also no longer ruled by a rage that could not be explained as nothing other then misery. In the time that he had suffered he had learnt so much so he did not begrudge the hands of time since he would have never grown into the man that he had become. He would simply have died a beast with little or no hope of repenting the sins commited in his time in Italy. Now that he looked back on all the time so much had been wasted on actions made purely out of seeking revenge. First revenge on the 'club' (which had never suceeded) and then on Caprice for her trying so hard to ruin his life, then on Victor for first condemning him to a marriage where he never felt the true magic of love that was simply not flourished then for the death of an innocent human being, sure he might not have loved the women as much as he thought then but he did not see the justice in the older males merciless actions. Then after that he tried so hard to blame Harlen for leaving him not once but twice now and yet he still found himself wondering what he could have done wrong even after the first time when she had come back and told him it was nothing that he did he could not help wonder. Where was she now? Was she even alive? The thoughts were silenced since his tough composure had clearly just broken down in front of the girl, what had triggered this response he had no idea. Perhaps it was the view of how innocent the girl truly was. She might have never experienced tragedy and the pain of someone you loved leaving you. She probably had never had her heart broken never mind broken on three seperate occasions. The pureness of her being might have repelled others of his nature though he found himself drawn to her. A deep inhale was brought within lungs expanding the organs until they seemed to press on his rib cage before the air was silently expelled providing a calming sensation. Do not wish for time to simply hurry, struggles and learning makes us who we are. And the character you are bound to become is worth the wait. He hoped she would not take offense to this simply wisdom stated by a vetran at this sort of situation. He spent so much time trying to hurry the hands of time and he wished he had taken a step back and just gone with the flow and allowed time to shape him in the way it had intended it would have been a lot simpler then now. He truly believed the same outcome of the laid back persona that he was now blessed with would have happened within time. Instead his life had veered off in many crazy directions. Optics catch what he guessed to be traditional gestures of her tribe and a stunning smile that many had found charming over the years fell over handsome chiseled features. Azure optics losing their pained and emotionless haze as the women announces her name. The pleasure is mine, Bri. One could not wish for a more pleasant acquaintance this fine evening. Soothing words were spoken in a low, rich tone that carried the slighest Italian accent after all that had been where the male had spent the majority of his time. Palm rested on the bark of the timber as he pushed his bulky frame into a standing position and it was now that he realized just how much he towered over her. I am sure it would not be a good thing if your tribe found you out here with me. So I will let you go I do not want to be the cause of an upset. As the words were spoken in a farewell manner he could not help the feeling of loss that sunk within his insides leaving the intruiging women would not be something he prided himself on though they came from such different worlds and worlds that would not even allow a friendship to be possible.

Sigh escapes at his warning about time, pools looking to the earth while toe of tennis shoe dug gently at the crust. The lass knew he was right, that she should not want time to hurry, but it was hard to change one's yearnings once they were established. She wanted to move past this period of instruction; this streach where her knowledge and understanding lacked where the wolf's excelled. It was frustrating to be twenty years and yet still feel like a child. She wished for this feeling of youth to pass and for her essance to join her body and finally pass into womanhood. Unlike those of the past, however, the fatal was lucky. Her family had hidden her destiny from her, despite warnings against such a thing, and therefore she never had the time to be illusioned with what to expect when the Choosing came. What came had been a complete shock to her, although now she was content with the knowledge of two souls residing in one carcass. Instead, the essa shared the anger with her counter part at her parents for hiding the inevitable from her. Had they informed her and taught her as some many of their ancestors had, their daughter may not have to suffer through the seemingly endless conflict she encountered with Caza. Perhaps she would live more at harmony with herself, but what-might-have-been mattered little now. The stage had been set and now she must play the part to the best of her ability whether she be an accomplished actress or a green beginner. Smile found its way to her lips again as the male replied to her introduction, jade depths lifting from the ground to find his cobalt pair, tiara tilting with slight curiousity at his accent which she could not place. It was a rare occurance in itself for her to run into an outsider within these lands and therefore she found the man even more intrigueing now that she knew he was much more than the occasional wander of the surrounding areas. Where was he from? How much had he seen and known? Among her forebear's stories were hints that the "walking dead" race lived until they were ripped apart and burned to ashes. They were supposedly immortal, much like she was. How long ago had he been birthed? Dario looked little older than her, but yet the age old saying warned that looks could be decieving. Your accent is different. Where is it from? Tunes ask, a sencerely curious look upon mask. Chin shifted upwards slightly as he stood to his full height in order to continue to hold his gaze, finding with some surprise that he was much taller than her own 5'8" frame. Sickened smirk came as a result to his declaration, bodice turning from him to walk a few feet away, staring out into the shadowy realm before turning halfway back. You may leave if you wish, Dario, but my people would not come within a mile of your presance, nor do they like to mine. They live their own life in their town off to the East edge of the wood and do not desterb me or the inhabitants of the forest. You see, they are afraid. Some will say the forest is haunted and in general, they are correct. It is called wana gi cusoke, or ghost forest. And I, well, they are afraid of my beast's spirit. Smirk twists pretty guise into a loathsome expression, the vixen not caring to hide her scorn of her tribe's ways.

Pace was abruptly halted when her words rang out within the darkness between the two. Palm was pulled from denim pockets and ran through touseled locks thinking of a way to answer the question that would not scare her off. He knew what the next question would be and he prepared himself knowing she would eventually ask how old he was. He would she take that she was standing next to an over three hundred year old vampire. Tension could be seen within the males chiseled features even throughout the darkness. Italy. Venice to be exact. Where I spent the majority of my life. Steps closed the distance that had just been made between the two of them. A small smile flickering over handsome features. So I know what your next question will be so I might as well tell you before you ask. I am just under 308 years old. He knew that it would be a shocker so he stepped back keeping distance between the two of them. Shoulders were rigid and shoved backwards connecting with his spine as chin was lifted to gaze at the commotion above them with the fast moving masses of clouds that exposed flickering glittery stars every once in while and as soon as they appeared they were suddenly gone as if nothing had happened. Soon boring of this his gaze then reached back to her judge her reaction. As she spoke of her people being scared of her he suddenly felt a pang of something he never thought possible, understanding. He spent his entire life instilling fear in people even if it was meant or not. Whenever it came out that he was not a human they instantly ran and never looked back no matter how much they might have thought of him before. Though i was very uncommon for anyone to even start to get that close.

Liquids watched him curiously as he moved closer, taking in his answer, mind transfersing her back into the past, to the time she spent in class. Italy; that was in Europe and Venice was one of its cities on the outskirts or had it been on one of the surrounding islands? She frowned, trying to remember the things she had learned in geography class so long ago. It was the city surrounded by water, with buildings that were connected by river streets, that much she knew. Oh how different that was from here. What would it be like to visit there, she wondered to herself, all of the sudden wishing she could leave this realm and travel the world to see things her people were too afraid to see. The elders who had taught their school classes had warned that the outside of the tribe could be dangerous and hateful of their race. Now she laughed at the old man's hypocritcy for he was one who avoided her at nearly all costs. The description of Veince made the place appear to the essa as a romantic, beautiful thing, setting her imagination afire as she invisioned herself there within mind's eye. Lids blinked over depths as his suddenly tense facade was near to hers, words coming from his mouth quickly, bringing a slightly confused look to features. Sure she had been wondering to herself how old he was, but the next thing in her mind had not been to ask him about it. Frown creased forehead when he stepped back, voids running over his figure as if assessing the baron. A playful smirk replaced the frown when pair rose and met his, lips parting to relaase sound. Would that not mean you are three hundred and seven? Vocals ask amused, a smile playing upon features while she paused for a moment between speech. Well, for being such an old man, you have aged well. Bri teased, the grin never leaving her visionage, but never quite reaching her eyes. Emeralds busied themselves staring hard at the man, trying to analize his stance to understand why he stood so stiff. She wasn't surprised by his age. On the contrary, the girl had not expected him to be the age he seemed and was not concerned much with age. Dario looked so formal, as if she had done something to offend him to set the vampire on his guard, but yet, the vixen could not for the life of her think of what she could have done to deserve such a reaction. Surely her question about his origin had not instilled this. He had not acted this way when he had answered. The counterance had developed into what it was now only after the duke had moved closer to her.

She took the words that spilled from his mouth with ease as if it did not suprise her. Sure she had heard the stories of vampires so of course she had expected him to be that old. He did not judge her though and still the playful demeanor shone upon glorious features. He could not help but admire that in her. Noticing that the glint did not reach her eyes but instead they busied themselves glancing at him as if she was trying to piece together a puzzle. I suppose it has, thank you. He murmered with a small smile vocals flowing off lips. So could I interest you in a walk this evening? Or do you have previous commitments? He questioned his tones staying suprisingly gentle for the demeanour that his race was supposed to portray. She was willing to give him a chance, deep within the forest when he confessed what he was to her she did not turn and run the opposite way as so many people had and quite frankly that was enough to stump him since it was nothing but the human instinct to react in that manner. So either she was incredibly naiive or she knew more about his type then he thought. Shoulders were allowed to relax as he then stepped slightly closer to the female eyes wander over her stunning features resting on vibrant emerald pools with a small smile that reflected softness even to azure optics that had previously remained emotionless. Steps were light and inaudible to the human ears as steps were carefully calculated along the underbrush. Neck craned to see if the girl was following him with a small smirk playing on features. His sense of direction was impeccable carrying him back to the park and along the well worn gravel trail. If she was not following now that would be her choice though he tended to not linger in one spot for too long to not allow his thoughts run wild constant motion kept his mind clear. The path he chose lead him in the direction of the beach. The silver hued orb glowed high in the sky now and was visible just above where the glaze of the ebony liquid ended. Miniscule waves lapped at the shoreline washing sand out to the seas. A small genuine smile flickering across features as the glare from the waves reflected in voids. A bench lay at the end of the path nearing where the gravel met the sand. Knees bent bringing frame even with the wooden structure. Palms rested on his knees. He only lingered here long enough to take the entire beauty of the area in. Standing back up pace carried him back towards the city where he seemed to need a dose of the real world once again by now the people of the night would be out in full force and he could sit at his favourite cafe even perhaps share his petty game of making fun of the people that passed by.
