Worry began to build a moutain in the pit of her stomach as the male flinched at her touch, regret swimming before her eyes. How could she have been so ignorant, so blind to all that was before her, plain as if it were outlined in red? Dario could not, would not have her. Had he not made that clear enough when he had moved off the couch. Confidence faultered, the essa wishing she could run and hide from his sight, not wanting to see the man for fear she would notice the disappointment in his eyes at her brash action. Hand trembled slightly where it rested lightly against his chest, the maiden unable to appreciate the way his taught muscles felt to the touch although she wanted to. Nausia set in while seconds passed like minutes, nerviousness mixing with woe to develop a powerful affliction. He would leave now. Leave, disappear and never return. Once more, she would be friendless in unwilling exile, caged within the boundries of the forest. Just as she accepted this and readied herself for the pain, his hand brushed the side of her face, shocking her into looking into his cobalt depths. The emotion expressed there, she could not decipher precisely, but it was not disgust and simply discovering that was relieveing. Shades closed briefly while pale kissers touched her cheek, a deep, sad, aching desire replacing the restless longing of her heart. When pair next met his, a soft smile was upon exotic features, palm patting his chest twice in an almost comforting act. Of course. Touch left him as she replied, figure stepping away and arm returning to her side, forcing herself to resist the urge of returning his kiss. There was no sense in making the moment harder on them both and although she was certain that one night with him would not be a memory she would wish to forget, the damsel respected Dario's opinion. Never would she attempt to seduce him into being with her if he did not want to be. For now, it seemed they would remain friends, but she could not help wondering what it was that held the bloke back, what made him reluctant to act. He wanted her, this much she could sense with a mind free of any pesimistic emotions. Determined, she decided to one day find out what it was and placed the question to the back of her mind for later discovery of the answer. Turning to him with her weight supported mostly by the door as she leaned upon its edge, a grin directed upward at masculine counterance, manner casual when she addressed him. I would make the offer for you to stay here overnight, but that would be too much wouldn't it? Attempting to lighten her mood, she tried her hand at a making a joke. However, the Indian girl had to force herself to laugh and it sounded fake, even to her. Clearing her throat, she stopped the sound from escaping throat any longer, shifting to rest mass on one leg while she waited a bit uncomfortably for him to take his leave.

She seemed to get an emotionless look on her face that translated her trying to hide her emotions from the plain view though he was able to see past it and see the nervousness as he did not jump at the touch when it happened though little did she know that he was trying his very best to rein himself in and keep himself from scaring her off and making her uncomfortable. She seemed to rest into his touch and seemed relieved when it happened with caused a small smile to crawl onto features. Happy that he had understood her feelings quite clearly, she did not try to hide them like most girls did which was relieving since he did not have to take shots in the dark and risk getting rejected since no matter if it had ever happened before a guy always had the fear of rejection resting in the back of their minds. She told him that she would for sure see him tomorrow and the aching that rested in his chest started to subside a little, the nervousness making a release for all the tension constrewed in his body. He knew that when he went home he would only be able to sleep for long enough to recharge enough to function the next day and would spend the rest of the time waiting for the time where he would get to see her next. He was not too sure how they would find one another though he had faith in it all since both of their senses were a hell of a lot better then a humans. She then seemed to lighten the mood offering for him to stay the night in a joking manner, though he had much too much respect for the girl to even think about that option, what if someone came to her house in the morning and saw him there, they would think the wrong things and then she would be in trouble and he would plain and simply not allow that to happen, she already meant too much to him, he was the first girl that he truly wanted to do all this stuff right with, the slower the better to allow no room for error. He took a step that was dangerous close to her with a small smirk. Hot breath washed across the skin at the nape of her neck. Good night, Beautiful. The statement was soft and tones were low and rich with the Italian accent that clung off every syllable. With that he made his good bye with a small peck on the cheek and moving swiftly towards the door before it became impossible. The forest was still in the night and a lot colder then it had been when he came so steps were swift and carried him lightly through the underbrush in the direction of where he was living. Assuring himself that the path to her house was well memorized. His mind was still on the stunning girl that most likely would be watching his retreating frame was he sauntered through the bush. He lead the path in quite a few different zig zags to ensure no one would be able to pick up on where he had headed towards her place. Her safety was the number one priority to him. Reaching his place he moved immediately to his bedroom and stripped down to just his boxers pulling the comfortable covers over top of himself and lodging himself into deep slumber that remained unplagued by the nightmares that usually bothered him instead that was a beauty that seemed to pop up and capture his unconcious thoughts.

Breath caught slightly as the male gave his good byes, that same desprite longing filling her the instant his body came within close proximity of her. Hands ached to reach for him; to cling to his shirt and pull frame close so she could rest against him. This urge was fought with clenched fists, smooth esophogus muscles working a bit harder than usual to swallow. Lips felt suddenly far to dry when he bent towards her face, leaving intense disappointment while the paleish rose tissues found her cheek and left it quickly. When he turned to leave, her figure trembled, invisable to his eye even if he had glanced back to see. Good night. Lyrics managed to whisper as he disappeared into the brush, feet rooted to the spot with the damsel continuing to gaze out of doors into the calm night. Finally, after seconds of the crickets soothing chirp, limbs became animate again and quietly pushed the door to a close, legs taking her back to her bedroom while she stripped and changed into night clothes with a numb mind dulling thoughts. Mechanically, her teeth were brushed, her face washed, and her hair was braided, long locks creating a thick, black whip that hung over tanned shoulder. Then, with nothing more to do, she stood still and stared blankly at herself in the mirror. He had called her beautiful, an adjective she had never attached to herself before. Could this be true or was Dario simply giving a compliment? Critically, she examined herself, noticing how the creamy skin of her shoulders contrasted with the dark hue of her hair and how her bold bone structure accented the features of her face. Her body was fit because of the daily workout she underwent in her position with a stature that was naturally tall and lean as was in her gene pool. All these desireable qualities were noted and yet, she could not admit to herself that she was beautiful. Yes, she was pretty, better looking than most in the tribe, but still could not compair really to Rye, a girl two years her elder who had nearly every man in the camp trying to court her. Sighing, she turned and shut off the light, padding over to her bed where she happily wrapped the warm blankets around her, body curling up into a fetal position. Sighing, lids closed over depths, mind extending a welcoming hand to sleep, but the old friend retreated, leaving the vixen with the emotions she was newly aquainted with. Had she gone crazy to wish he was there? That sort of occurance would definately get a rise from her family, but then again, she did not care for their opinion. All of them had treated her as an outcast and she therefore had no reason to listen to their outdated and ridiculous rules. Besides this, it was probably best that he had left. The next morning had a consul meeting in store for her. Groaning, Bri rolled over and shut her eyes tighter, willing slumber to be kind to her once again. It seemed that it did listen to her plea for the next thing she knew, time and space no longer mattered and an eminse black had surrounded her concious.

Steps felt sluggish as they carried him away from the one person who seemed to matter in his life. Even with the close friendship between him and Thierry they were nothing but people fighting on the same side of the line, they could and would turn on eachother at any given matter of moments. She brought out emotions that had been so desperately stuffed inside him. He promised himself that there would be no other girl that he handed his heart so easily and yet he seemed to be caving to the pressures of those feelings that he hated so much. She seemed to be bringing it out in him and secretely he hated himself for not being strong enough to resist. She held the charm that she did not even know possible and yet she was so innocent about it all. Perhaps the night would clear it all up and she would choose that she no longer wanted to see him anymore. It would make his life a lot easier but secretely he prayed this would not happen since the plunge into the unknown was something he met with honour. Feet navigated the underbrush and yet he tripped finding his mind so consumed by thoughts that his senses were not heightened and he scolded himself telling himself that if someone had been tracking him he would not have an idea since he was not paying attention and when you are an older vampire anything is possible, its impossible not to make enemies in that long of living even if most are too much of chickens to do anything about it. Reaching the small house where he resided for the time being he found it so easy to slip into the slumber that plagued the back of his mind and for once the nightmares did not plague his thoughts. A small smile remaining plastered on stone cold features. So the next morning when he woke he felt so refreshed and ready for the day to begin, haha almost impossible for a vampire as old as him to feel refreshed. The body in which he inhabited felt completely worn and used and abused. The aches and pains within chassis were sometimes almost unbearable but yet he just kept trekking, what choice did he have? Now he would be off into the woods to try to find the exotic girl that seemed like nothing more then a fairytale to him now. A small smile found its way onto features to plaster handsome facial expression and yet it was not characteristic of the man. He would have no way to find the girl but to trust his instincts to where they would lead him. Steps were already taken within her forest just waiting for something to happen.

Slumber was interrupted seven hours later by a knock at the door. Instantly, emerald eyes flashed open, body twisting beneath the covers while arm jerked the sheets away. Feet hit the floor a half second later and the essa was moving thoughtlessly towards the door, relying on impluse at such early a time. Hand extended and flipped the dead-bolt lock before dropping to the handle just below it and turning the handle. Upon pulling the door open, a native american man who stood at about six foot three inchs. Features were delicate and rather femine for a male, making him seem more beautiful than handsome. Good morning Adam. You are my escort today? Vocals were dull and unamused, the question containing some sort of venom which represented her disgust at having to have someone lead her to the consul meetings. It was as if they were worried she would cause trouble along the way, get lost, or simply not even come, all of which were idiotic worries. She sighed as he nodded, looking about as thrilled at the situation as she was. Well, come in then. Make yourself some coffee and eat whatever you want out of the fridge. I need to go shopping anyway. Standing back, she let the man enter her home, watching as he carefully took in the paintings on the walls and the comely furniture. Thats right. This one at least has never been inside my home.Welcomed or otherwise. Shutting the door, she left her companion to himself, expecting to smell the aroma of brewing coffee soon enough as she retreated back into her bedroom to change. Out of all the Choosen they could have sent, Bri was glad they had sent Adam. Their families were neighbors and often times she played with him and his two siblings whenever the chance presented itself. He knew her ways best and therefore respected her for her position rather than dispise her as the others did, although his own particular position brought about a cause to fear her. Adam had been Choosen by the light of foot, causing them to be on opposite sides of the predator/prey pasture. But, the Choosen were strickly prohibited from slaying one another and she would never bring her old childhood comrad harm, even by accident. Despite the improbablility of his death occuring by her hand, she still felt that it was the one instance he was most scared of. One day, she would have to explain to him that the spirits had a different scent than the other animals which roamed the wood. The girl stripped down to her underwear and moved to the end of her bed where she had laid the clothing she planned to wear. When she fastened her bra, the air from the rest of the house came wafting through the crack beneath the bedroom door, bringing with it the familar smell that screamed morning. Closing her eyes and smiling, the essa drank it in, pausing only for a moment before continuing at a rather hurried pace. The coffee had reminded her that all were supposed to arrive by a specific time at the meeting place and were she to be late, the spirits might see it fit to chastise due to her position among the consul. Adam would also recieve punishment did they fail to reach the place by the correct time. It was his duty as her escort to be sure she got their safely and on time. Once her jeans were buttoned, the waist riding snugly upon her hips, she pulled her shirt over her head and moved to the bathroom, staring at her appearanced in the mirror while unbraiding the long whip. Grin broke the plainness of her facade as the locks fell straight to drape her shoulders, shaking her head once to tossel them some before placing the hair tie upon the counter and running a brush through her hair. Finally, she did one final glance into the looking glass before turning and shutting out the light, transfering from her room to the living room before continuing on to the kitchen. Her guide had poured himself a cup of coffee and now sat on her couch, watching some early reruns of baseball on the television for amusement. Obtaining her own mug, she picked up the pot and took what was left, leaving the liquid black as that was the way she enjoined drinking it. The pot was placed in the sink to be washed later and orbs turned to watch the bloke, gaze intent upon his body. As if feeling her stare, he switched off the TV and turned to look at her, but upon meeting her vision, flinched and glanced downward, already looking like a prey animal immobilized by fear. "Come on Bri. You know I hate it when you stare at me like that." The words were pleading even though he spoke them in the best strong tone he could muster, his cords giving off an unexpectedly deep tone which contrasted wonderfully with his fine features. Consenting to his wishes, the fatal turned her liquids elsewhere, noticing out of the corner of her eye how his stature immediately relaxed when she did so. I'm not going to eat you, Adam. I am not a cannibal. She had ment for the words to sooth his worries, but instead a new wave of emotion came to her nostrils as it radiated off him, mossy surfaces turning in his direction to see him cower in reaction. Sighing, she dumped the rest of her coffee down the sink, suddenly no longer wanting to be in kept in the house all alone with him anymore. It was sad really that such a man could forget all of his pride in her presance. His fear had a hold on him so tight that he did not bother to pretend she did not intimidate him. Lets go. We do not want to be late. She waited until he rose slowly from where he had been sitting before striding confidently across the house and opening her front door, standing to the side and holding it as he walked past the threshold. Bodice turned as the vixen quit her house, locking both the dead-bolt and the handle as the mass closed with a resounding click. Looking back at him, she nodded to let him know she was ready and they were off, striding down the sidewalk leisurely beside an unusually vacant street. This did not surprise her, however. It was consul meeting day. The rest of the tribe tended to stay indoors whil the few Choosen ventured into the open atmosphere to meet in one area once every three months except in the case of an emergancy meeting. While they continued on their way, the lass noticed some people looking through the curtains of their home to watch as the pair passed, the white fabric rustling closed hurriedly each time she glanced in the direction of the home. Dome shook each time this happened and each time, she looked up at Adam to see if he was missing what all she had seen. His mask was as it usually was, blank and emotionless, eyes directed forwards, intent upon the path they were traveling. Frowning, the damsel always looked away, feeling more alone with him as a companion than she normally did. Surely he is not missing the stares they give us. The fear that pours from the houses we pass stench up my nostrils. Does he smell it as I do, or is it just a predator thing? Perhaps he is better at ignoring the people's reactions to us better than I. I wish he would answer if I asked him, but I know he would not. They continued in silence, Bricaza no longer paying any attention to her kinsmen at their windows as they stared out at the Choosen, afraid and resentful of what their protectors were while completely ignoring the fact that it was because of the Choosen few that their lives remained safe from any mythical danger. The lady had not been paying attention when they came upon the building and would have run into the door had a hand not been laid upon her shoulder to stop her. Suddenly coming to her senses, chin jerked upward in surprise, head twisting upon her neck to look behind her, sending a thank you smile to Adam as she realized he had kept her from making a complete fool of herself. Looking forward once more, she and her escort were met by the guards at the door, also apart of the Choosen. Taking a deep breath, she readied herself for the usual customs which came after, staring at the cup guard held in their hands. Approaching, the guards came to a stop in front of them, the one of the left handing her her cup and the one on the right handing Adam his before speaking. "Alright, you both know how this works. Do not drink the elixir until after the meeting has been called to order." Bri nodded her understanding before striding past them towards the door, counterance free of any emotion as the door opened without her prompting in order to admit them both before it shut again. Where they stood was a large, black marble hallway which made a complete circle around the consul room, offering space where the center area lacked excess. The limited freedom within the inner room mattered little, however, for it was built to hold all of the Choosen while only about two thirds of it's entirety were active at the same time. Most spirits who did not have a Choosen were usually mourning the loss of their most recent vessel, or awaiting the birth of a suitable candidate. It was in the mass hallway that Adam and Bri went their seperate ways, he to the door on the left and her two doors down on the right. With her hand upon the knob, she turned to look at her old friend, their eyes locking and a sad longing coming to both features. She extended a smile, which he returned, much to her astonishment, before disappearing behind his door. After releasing a heavy breath, the maiden surrendered herself to the room, multiple voices which were engaged in many different conversations suddenly ceasing as she stepped inside. Without glancing at anyone, she moved with her head dipped slightly to her seat, trying to block out the sudden silence that came with her entrance. When she sat, the noise suddenly picked up again, giving her a form of relief as head leaned back to rest against the top edge of her chair, lids closed over depths. Severald seconds ticked by before the contessa became aware of another presance, knowing instantly who would approach her first in the room even before he spoke. "Don't go to sleep just yet, Guardian. Playtime has yet to start." Smooth lyrics whispered into her ear, the hot air that emitted from his mouth sliding over her skin much like humidity does, leaving a disgusting feeling of clamyness. I do not play with your kind, Kat. Tunes spat, orbs opening quickly as fierce gaze turns towards him, position suddenly leaning forward so as to get a better look at the man who stood behind her chair. The crooked, triumphant smile enraged her for once more, the baron had met his goal in rising her anger to the surface. Caza's unexpected interjection into the situation shocked the fatal, but she did not fight it as her teacher soothed her before taking ahold of the girl's limbs to reach out and grab the drake by the throat, legs bringing her mass to a quick stand. Do not trifle with me boy. Your training has been neglected it seems. Rein in your unruly child, Bas, or I shall do it for you. The room had gone quiet once more and the spirit's voice bounced off the ways to extend all the way to the opposite side, leaving none of what had been spoken to question. Releasing him, Caza tossed the lord backwards, staring intently as he rubbed his throat, glared at her viciously, and moved back to his seat, humiliated in front of the entire consul. Turning, wolven eyes surveyed the still quiet crowd and watched with a twisted, amused smile as they all glanced away instantly after meeting her gaze. Control was returned to Bri as form sank back into the seat, one half of her satisfied with the display while the other was terrified by the attention it drew to them. Relax, my pupil. You must learn to accept the position I share with you. It does not include sitting idle while one such as that runt utters a challenge. The student allowed her instructors advice to sink into her soul, physically forcing muscles to become free just as the guards from outside entered and the doors that lined the room were locked. Here we go. The lights were dimmed and all talking came to an abrupt hault, all sets of eyes turnign to watch a young girl about the age of fourteen make her way to the center of the circular room. Three rows of chairs continued around the entire room with breaks as wide as a singular chair occuring at each entryway. All of the chairs were bolted to the top of different rises, each level taller than the next so that each Choosen could see everyother and the center of the room where the conductor lead the meetings. Bricaza was positioned as she always was at the back of the room furthest from the first entrance where the guards had been stationed. There were no exits nearby to her; the last doors stopped midway through the room, facing each other at the diameter. Most everyone had a person seated to their left and another to their right, but there were vacant seats throughout the room with two of them on each side of the girl. To her right, was the seat where The Alpha would sit, had he taken a candidate. To her left, was the position of The Enforcer, empty also for the spirit still awaited the birth of his next trainee. Two of the three highest position in the consul were unoccupied, leaving the Guardian alone in the room of her lower status peer. The teenager had reached the center of the room now and was lifting her cup to her lips, a signal that all the others followed in lifting their own cups and drinking the contents. As the liquid went down Bri's throat, it left a burning, tingling sensation which made her cringe although the taste of the drink was simular to honey. A second later, her mind became hazey and the girl slipped off into a dream like state, allowing the spirit to take over completely.
Caza never enjoyed the way consul excluded the Choosen, but it was tradition and who was she to break it? It had worked well since the time of the treaty, therefore allowing the method to endure. Alert eyes look to the center of the room, a smile spreading across borrowed human features as her friend met her gaze. Ah, wise Ala. It was a bit surprising to see her at the meeting so soon after just bonding with her Choosen nearly two weeks ago, but it was a good sign. As the harbored of knowledge, her friend tended to take her Choosen at a young age. Mostly, she became connected with the girl between the ages of twelve and fourteen while the other spirits waited until they were at least eighteen. Ala also had a tendacy to keep her Choosen away from society life as much as possible until she was ready for further interaction with her fellow people. While Caza held hopes that Ala's girl would perhaps provide a companion and friend for her Bri, she knew it would most likely be several years before the pair could really converse outside of these meetings and although time ment little to her, a year to humans felt like a lifetime. Attentions broke away from the messanger of Athena to see who else had recovered quickly from the elixir. Most, especially the newer presances, were still fighting for utter control, although there were a select few who were, like her, glancing around. She avoided looking at Bas, but could feel his feline orbs watching her every move. The overconfident jerk tended to be the one among the consul with which she had most fought, some thing the other spirits thought they would fix with a marriage between their Choosen's. It had seemed to be working; Bri had been very fond of the well named Kat, but the arriangement fell through once the true character of the boy was shown. Bas always did like to have the most unruly candidate avalible. With nothing more to do, shoulder blades pressed against the soft cusioned back of her chair while liquids remained trained on the center of the room, waiting till the Keeper called for order. "All are now Awake. We shall begin with the first order of buisness. The next Choosing will be held four moon turns from now. Yes, it is very soon, but it is how our Brethern have demanded it" Frown creased exotic features, the muttering coming from all of the other spirits simply background music for her thoughts. Why would they be so impaitent to return to the world? There is already the highest number of Choosen among the consul since it's creation. What is the plan here? Other, meaningless things were discussed as the varg mulled over the questions of her mind, paying only slight attention while some spirits asked for money, another place of residence, or announced the plans of marriage for their Choosen. Many crossed boundries and created inner agreements between species if their Choosen's mated as it did increase the chance for another candidate of each breed to be possible. Although it was true that genetic line had little to do with being Choosen, there was still a faint relation. Each candidate was picked baised upon their character and disposition and how well they were to fit with the corresponding spirit. It would not do for a shy, quiet girl to be paired with a boistrous bear. Focus returned to the happenings of the meeting as the petty requests dwindled down and Ala asked for any further buisness to be annouced by anyone. Caza highly anticipated going home early when Bas stood, staring straight at her as he spoke. "We have had an intruder in the wood. One that has been allowed in the house of a Choosen; one that still breathes." Alarmed whispers start up, all stones turning to look at the lupine where she sat, not only because of the direction of Bas' gaze, but because they demanded an explanation. She focused on studying her nails a little longer, looking rather bored with the situation, one leg crossed over the other in a relaxed position. Are you saying I am abandoning my honor, Bas? Tunes ask lazily, a sharp edge to her words as gaze lifts, surfaces shining with a wicked sort of hope as they bore into the duke, daring him to say so. "I am saying you have let a threat enter our inner most santum." Bah! Frame rose and moved swiftly down the levels, coming to stand before her challenger at the side of the conductor while she addressed the party assembled. This night-walker presents no threat. He hunts nothing in our lands and brings none with him. In my Choosen's house I allowed him to enter. It is because one of us does not like this decision that such a subject was brought to your attention. Head turns towards the tom, making it quite clear if it had not been already to whom she was referring. But, the bloke had already readied himself to out manover her. "Wrong, beloved Guardian. This blood-drinker did bring another of his kind into the forest. Do you try to decieve us by denying her appearance?" Growl rumbled out of the woman's mouth unhindered, composure returning to normal before she once more projected her words to the entire group. The female had sought the male out. She left before I could ensure she did not retrace her steps, but, I assure you, if she crosses the boundries again, I will not hesitate no matter my company or health. Knowing there would be nothing more that could be brought upon the subject, front is turned towards Ala, posture respectful as she dipped her head quickly before speaking once more, guaranteeing nothing could be spoken to continue the previous discussion. On that note I would like to request releasing my Choosen from her bounds temporarily. I will not allow her to venture far and will remain alert to the status of the wood at all times. I ask because her curiousity of the outside world is great and I wish to solidify her attachment to the tribe's streach by showing her what it can be like without that security. In addition, it will sooth Bas' concerns with the night-walker being on our lands. A long pause followed, allowing adequte time for someone to protest the request. Jade pools turn to look at the feline a smug grin pulling at kissers for she could see he wanted to offer something to hinder the acceptance of her request, no solid arguement came to his mind. "As no attemps to contend have been offered, I hereby grant your requisition. If there is no further buisness any other member has to bring forth, I do believe it is time to close this consul." Bowing her head once more in thanks, Caza returned to her chair, watching as the proceedings ended and the ceremony to end started up. Shades shut over depths, reliquishing her hold upon the body as the elixir lost it's effect and the mortal regained conciousness.
Bri sat up in the chair feeling a little drowsy and light headed, as usual. Slowly, she brought herself to a stand, trying not to force the recovery, but wanting to leave the room before all of the others returned to themselves. Steps were deliberate and well calculated, taking her down the levels at a snails pace. Upon coming to the center floor, she stumbled, but a cold, femine hand caught her, eye level lifting from the floor to look into the face of a younger girl. "Come. I will help you take leave until you are fully comprehensive." The words were soft spoken and yet called for no argument and as such, the woman allowed herself to be helped out of the consul area, through the hallway and into the open air. Once outside, it was as if the sun replished her energy and she was able to stand steadily on her own, orbs unclouded as they next looked at her companion who had yet to leave her. Thank you. Admitance of debt was emitted with a smile, although it fell as the young girl did not return her expression. "You are welcome. Be careful in you wanderings Bricaza. Do not let your new found freedom fog your intelligence. You would have been a good daughter of Athena, had not the wolves taken you." A small grin cracked the other's stone facade before she turned and walked away from the door, leaving the other damsel staring. New found freedom? What can she mean new found freedom? Then, Caza supplied her with the on-goings of the meeting, a thrill running through body. Oh to tell Dario! He is already waiting for you, little one. Without another thought, she disappeared into the nearest tree line, allowing the map within cranium to guide her to the edge of the forest closest to the town where he had been staying. As figure approached, the males scent found it's way to her nostrils and she had to fight the urge to push the limits of her speed. Feeling rather playful, she instead slowed to a smooth jog, feet floating over the forest floor without making a sound. Of course, the forest creatures retreated, feeling rather than hearing her presance, but perhaps the vampire would not notice her sneaking, even though it was a far fetched concept. Pace slowed even more the closer she drew, walking now as she circled, trying to catch a glimpse of his body through the vegetation. Once she did, the native stratigized how to best approach him, moving round still she was at his back, crouched among the brush. No time was waisted waiting, muscles responding to her command eagerly as limbs propelled her from the cover, feet no longer touching the earth as she flew through the air, her target: his back.

The forest was still dark despite the lingering rays that struck the leafy foliage in a feeble attempt to reach the earth's mossy core. He was so deep within the woods any other person would be hopelessly lost. The heightened senses of the male combined with the intricate memory aided in every turn becoming an important maze of a map. Traditional wear lined well muscles frame, black dress pants which had become casual wear for the man lined bottom half, held by a matching ebony belt. For him it was strange to look in the mirror at anything but the clothes that by others were formal. The attire upon his upper torso was not quite as formal a charcoal colour polo shirt accented well toned flat abdomen and biceps that were revealed below the cuffs of the short sleeves. The fabric was designed for the heat of the summer and the tempid temperature that would penetrate the vampires body, though he could be wearing a parka in the summertime and barely break a sweat. Just another perk of the race, though there were far too many downfalls for it to equal out. As if the bloodlust was not enough he would outlive any normal relationships he chose to have. If he could function long enough to have a normal relationship, even if a human claimed to love him he would have to wonder if they were simply charmed by the vampiric touch in him that made him an ideal predator, the fact that most people were simply drawn to him for unknown reasons. It seemed silly for humans to be drawn to the person that they should be quaking in their boots upon even laying eyes on. He was not able to focus for all that long his mind kept turning to the stunning beauty from the night before. He had promised himself he would not get involved, he was nothing but a bad influence to taint the girls innocence. She had never left the woods in which she had called home and yet there was so much on the outside of the world that would make her realize that she would hardly want to return to the sheltered life she had lead for so long. She would never know what she was missing though so she seemed quite content being cooped up with the beliefs of the elders in the tribe. How could they expect her to take on a very important role if she was so sheltered to the current events that were being portrayed in the real world. He would mull this over later though. Right now his thoughts were simply on finding her. A small rustling noise was overheard though whatever it was was much too large to be a mere woodland animal and it sounded as if they were trying to be sneaky. He felt the illusion of being hunted, a strange concept for a creature such as himself. He paused, steps hovering in mid air to ensure that he did not maul the plans of the girl since the gentle breeze carried her aroma in his direction, one that he had come to recognize and adore already in the short span of time. A solid weight seemed to strike his back, an oomph of air passing through cavern at the impact though a broad smile upturned kissers. The girl seemed to be on attack mode as a playful look was played in emerald optics. Reflexes her too fast for her as he turned so that instead of colliding with his back she would be clinging around his neck pressed to upper torso and facing him. Arms swivell around her waist to support slender figure with ease and not allow her feet to touch the ground. Well, hello. Deep rich tones were uttered to her. A sigh passed through slightly parted kissers as azure gaze then sought to meet sparkling emerald pair.

Surprise lit features as instead of colliding with the male's back, as was intended, she came in contact with his front. Staring at him blankly, she tried to process how it had happened. Had she made a noise when she was circling? Or had it been the last burst of energy which launched her at him that caused the alerting sound? Either way, obviously, her plan had not gone as she had hoped. Arms wrapped around his neck, legs doing the same to his waist to hold her at eye level with the man, shock still evident upon features before she finally began to regain the ability to think. Numbly, she felt his hands on her side, but was too busy staring into his eyes to really appreciate the feeling. Taking advantage of the moment, a pout formed upon counterance, lower lip sticking out further than upper in order to produce the. I should have known I could not sneak up on you. Musical vocals emit, cheeks flushed with a twinge of pink along the facial bone from the excitement of the morning. At first, she was able to hold the disappointed look pretty well until, slowly, the inital fearlessness of the situation began to wear off the longer the fea looked into the cobalt depths of her companion. Feeling suddenly childish and embaressed, she untwined her legs from around his body, the hold she had upon his neck relaxing just a bit as limbs straighten, figure sliding slowly down his body till feet touched the ground. Chin dropped gaze to the earth, unwilling to take herself away from his touch, but feeling as if she should. Hands unlocked from behind his head, but rested instead on shoulder, gaze lifting again with a small, almost nervous smile. Mouth parted to allow speech and instantly the damself remembered the news she had been wanted to tell him. I'm free Dario. I can leave. Happiness lit up her eyes as she spoke, palms running down his torso so the fingers on one hand could capture his, body spinning around to face the wood's boundries. Enthusiasm drove her forward, strides lengthening as she jumped into a run, dragging the bloke behind her without a thought of whether he could keep up or not. After all, he was super human as well right? Dodging through the brush and trees, the woman continued without slowing the pace, anything her partner might have said lost among the wind as it blew past her face, whipping long black locks off her shoulders to cascade behind her. Grinning, the essa let out a joyous laugh, pushing herself to go faster, feeling the line drawing closer. Sunlight began to break through the thinned canopy of the forest's edge, spreading it's warmth across the maiden's features like a welcoming smile. Finally, trees no longer lay in the landscape before her to conquer and feet were allowed to ease their beating upon the sod, lids closing over emerald surfaces while nostrils widened in a heavy, releaving breath, as if it were the first she had taken in her life time. Shifting to glance at drake, she backed away until their arms were streached out between them, triumph lighting her mask. Releasing his hand, she spun in a quick circle, arms extended while uncontrollable giggles were released from rose lips. Is it not wonderful?! I can go into the town now. I can see what others see.

She seemed just as happy to encircle him within his arms and did the same around his waist, luckily he was wearing a belt and it did not pull his pants down since that would make for a very awkward situation. Hands support her though he was sure that without his hands she was still clinging to him enough that she would remain where she was. The stunning jade vision was closer then he had ever been and he found azure gaze being lost to the girl. All coherent thoughts were lost as well and seemingly dropped from his mind as she captivated his full and undivided attention. Her lip was jutted out in a pout that she surely would know would tug at the organ within his chest cavity. She stated that she should have known that she would not be able to sneak up on him. You probably could have if I had not been so intent on finding you, I am sorry. I am no fun. He stated gentle before removing an arm to run through silken black locks. Head tilting to the side slightly in curiosity to why the female was beaming and looking as if she had just won the lottery. She seemed to suddenly become aware of her actions and slipped her legs from his waist with cheeks turning red in a blush and drop back the soft loam with a small thud. Disappointed expression crossing features for a flash of a moment and then it was gone. The confidence that she seemed to lose was then absorbed by the man. She turned her gaze to the ground and averted his gaze, palm was then dispatched to rest beneath her chin and tilt it up to look at him. Hey, don't be like that. He stated softly his voice gaining a gentleness that would be seen as almost impossible for his race. Leaning the remaining distance between them lips then met her forehead bravely. Digit tracing a line along her cheekbone. Her arms had already dropped from around his neck and with her feet touching the ground he became aware of the height difference which he did not mind. She then spoke of something that had been on his mind from the night before. It had been behind in his mind how he would like to rescue her from the safe haven that kept her blissfully unaware and quench her wonder. He had busied himself debating the places where he would show her if this ever happened. And the words were then stated that made a smile rest permanently on his features. She was free. Well what were the conditions of this? It was impossible not to see the sheer joy that was readable across gorgeous features. He could not believe the effect it was having over himself as the joy seemed to be contagious. Of course he was able to keep up when she started her sprint across the woodland though he was jolted to begin with since she had not warned him of the change of scenery. Steps were light and agile managing to navigate the underbrush. Lungs pump the oxygen to rapidly expanding muscles. He might have commented though that proved to be impossible with the rate that they were moving. He was suprised that with the distractions that he did not get hit by any of the flying underbrush though he followed right in the girls steps which proved to be unwaveringly steady. The treeline was starting to become more sparce and soon they burst into an opening. He was not too sure the purpose of this sprint though it did not seem to matter since they came to a clattering halt in the midst of a clearing now. What this marked he was not too sure. She released his hand and spun in a dainty circle and a small low chuckle was released at her antics. I hope I will be allowed to accompany you on your journey.

Laughter bubbled to the surface as the essa turned to face him, lobes catching his masculine chuckles. For the first time after realizing how young her antics made her look, Bri did not care what he thought of her and refused to be embarressed over her excitement. Calming, she walked up to him, hand raising to rest on his chest again as it had the night before. Now that the new thrill of being released from the boundries of the forest began to ebb, the other reasons she was so adament to see him started to resurface in her brain, heart pounding to a new beat while sweet smile tugged at the corners of her rosey lips. Never in her life had she met a man quite so kind to her as he was. He seemed to really care not just about what she wanted, but what was best for her. The other night, the man could have easily taken advantage of the situation and had choosen instead to be the gentleman by walking away. Kat had definately never taken her well being upon himself which had been one of the main reasons they had not worked out. Selfishness along with her generousity did not tend to mix well. She had given and given while her intended kept demanding more. This, plus his decision that he was in charge of their relationship, set her off him permantly. Dario was such a contrast to Kat it was unbelieveable. Banishing the thought of Kat from her head, she returned her focus to the baron in front of her. It was pointless to compare the two to one another. Closing her eyes briefly, she remembered the feel of his hand as it brushed her face and the touch of his lips upon her skin, wishing he would do it again. Orbs were exposed to the sunlight again as he spoke, a grin breaking out across features as he drew her back into the present with that pleasing voice of his. Funny how hard it was to keep one's mind on a singular subject when so many possiblities and thoughts lingered, ready to be accessed at the crest of the personal inner sanctum. Soft, barely audible chuckles emit at his sentance, figure pressing a little closer while she grew more confident in her own skin around him. Taking advantage of the moment, sly look is shot upwards at the over six foot male, pools meeting sapphire pair for a daring minute while she spoke. You can accompany me. Only if you kiss me. Vocals challenge, chin tilted proudly upward while she waited for the reply to come. Part of her had no doubt he would submit to her request, but did not understand why. The lord had such wider berth of knowledge than she and was much further advanced in age, therefore leading to a more modified life style than what her's was. Why did he choose to be around a young lass like her who tended to be rather naive and, bluntly, too innocent. There seemed to be little wrong with the outside world in her eyes when she knew so little of it. Typical really, that her perfect world had kept her from seeing just how ideal her position was.

He had not been laughing because he thought she was immature in fact quite the opposite he wished he was relaxed enough to act in the manner in which she just had. It was very refreshing and made the girl top priority on his mind if she had not been there before. A wise person once told him that the quality of your life depended on the type of people your surrounded yourself with and if this was true he would surround himself with people like Bri. It seemed as though it might be true though since he had been surrounded most of his life with people who were bad influences and look how well that seemed to work for him. He wished that his life was not so monotone that he would have something to be excited about like her. Palm reached for his chest and he felt his breath catch in his throat and become restricted. Body was on high alert as the touch seemed to be more thrilling then he thought possible. It was true that he cared for her a lot, he cared enough to not be selfish and know what was in her best interest and not allow hormones and chemistry that he was sure they had get in the way. He wanted to do this right for the first time. He screwed up so many times in the past and she was truly one person that he did not want to end up losing before he even had. She seemed to be lost in thought fo r the time being so he remained silent eyes cast out in the direction behind her before her vocals then reached his ear drums. She challenged him. Stating that he would be allowed to come with her on her journeys if he would kiss her. Eyes were rolled within their sockets though he did not object. Bending lightly at the waist to drop frame to her height. A devilish grin crossing facial features to rest on lips before they met hers so lightly it was impossible to tell if contact was even there. Though he knew he would probably get swatted for the action. There, now lets go. He was in a playful mood and that did not happen often so she might want to take advantage of it since it was not too certain how long it might last. Steps were light and agile carrying him in the direction of the smal town, this might not even quench her curiousity though so only time would tell and who knows they might have to travel around the countryside.

Within the time that elapsed between the essa's bold demand and his reply, the nerves within her abdomen hastened their movement around the limited space as avians did in the clearing when the renewed kiss of spring initiated the season of fresh love. Despite her temporary anxiety at the situation, unlike other times she kept her confidence, only faultering momentarily within her mind, before reassuring herself. Never was the second thoughts she endured allowed to make an appearance upon her counterance, however. Impaitence was beginning to overtake the uneasiness when the male finally reacted, rolling his eyes at first as if she were asking something completely child-like before leaning closer. Organ's beat fluttered a bit wildly as hot breath from the duke smoothed over her exposed chest, swallowing hard to fight the sudden nervousness that rose to question her resolve again. It's too late to turn back now. She reminded herself, releasing any reserves she was clinging to, muscles therefore going lax, figure eagerly pressing closer to his in anticipation of his kiss. Lids slid over emerald depths, hiding the devilish smile an instant after it emerged, unfortuantly keeping the enjoyment of seeing such an expression upon masculine features from the lady, but what she hoped to gain in exchange would be a much sweeter pleasure. Tissues brushed against hers, sending a tingling sensation along the length of mass to her toes and back, skin feeling amazingly tender at such a simple touch. Then, a second later, just when the vixen was starting to yearn for more pressure, the man stepped away, lyrics flowing forth from larynx to enter lobes as hazy, undistinguishable syllables. Orbs open slowly, the crazied ecstasy fading quickly with his heat absent from her intimate presance. Eventually, what he had said hit her, the words combined with the poor excuse for an endearment bringing about a rarely seen side of the fatal. Slits narrow in a glare at the back of his head, feet rooted to the spot where he had left her for a moment longer before limbs move quickly, stride long although speed was kept at a brisk walk while she caught up with the drake. Continuing her pace until she had gone past his position before verring into his path, stopping and turning around to block any further advancement. With a fierce determination lighting surfaces, arm reached up, hand wrapping around his neck quickly to pull him down to her level. Without waiting for his reaction, front was brought tight against Dario, kissers taking from him what he had deprived her of. Lips were slightly rough on his, very different from what one would expect to come from the lass, but her temper at the time was altered from her norm. Satisfied, the maiden pulled away, flashing a smug smile in his direction as weight returned to her heels from tipy-toes and extremity unhooked from around his head. Spinning to face away from him once more, the fea continued on their way, once more starting towards the small town which lay only a few miles away from the outskirts of the forest, not bothering to glance behind her at her companions condition. He would follow her, sooner or later, she had almost no doubt of that fact.

This girl was contagious, the space that had been brought between them in the time that they had been apart was almost too much for him to bear and he longed to just wrap her in his arms and continue the physical contact as if it had never stopped. She had been expecting more of a kiss and that was apparent as she remained in the posture for a split second longer then it lasted and instantly he regretted it since it was not something to joke about and one of them would get their feelings hurt. But she beat him to it drawing him near to her again. Pressing lips against his hard, eyes widened a little in surprise though he savoured the moment. Clearly taken back by her rash movement. You are full of suprises. He stated in a joking manner though his words seemed to hold an undermining truth to them. The kiss was right in the front of his mind and something to not be forgotten for a long time. So when he forced himself on to take steps towards the border that she had not been previously allowed to cross all he wanted to do was just stop there and give in to the temptation to kiss her some more, though he would not allow himself to lose control with her since she was possibly the best person he had met, never had there been someone more genuine. Now he allowed his mind to take off in the direction of what he would show her first. Had she ever been around cars? Been around traffic, did she really know what any of this was? After he had crashed the impressive car that he had before he had bought a new car, one that was not quite the same calibre though one that he would enjoy. He would take her there first and then from there they would be able to decide what to do on a day such as this. Palm was dropped loosely to his side for her to take if she wanted to. They were approaching the edge of the brush rapidly and she was about to be imerssed in a world that was completely new and different. He was excited for her and wished that he could also be so full of wonder and dropped into a world that was so out of element though there was nothing in this world that really could do that for him. He had been to and lived in the most remote location in Africa, he had been to Egypt, been all over Europe, Russia, name a place and he had probably been there. The one place he had never been was to Thailand since that is where his boss from the assasins in Venice had lived and he knew that walking on enemy territory would not be such a great idea, even he was not that brave. The summer was just around the corner and the days were starting to get almost unbearably warm, he had shifted back to being used to the temperatures here really quick since when he had lived in Africa they had been so much higher and now he was talking about it being hot? The street was now within the line of their vision and many cars lined it it seemed to be a traffic jam where people were honking and making a scene of having to sit idling and with the fumes of the gas from the cars in front of them. He shook his head, why would they not walk in the weather like this. So this foiled his plans since he did not want to spend the afternoon sitting in the car of his. Strides were long and effortless along the panes of cement on the sidewalk and there were a ton of people around. So what do you want to do first? He asked her turning to face her with an excited smile.

Unable to control herself, a broad smile broke out across features at the light masculine vocals. It was an unequaled thrill to be "full of surprises" and the essa found herself wishing she could again catch the man off guard, although, she suspected he would be more on top of things after her most recent escapade. Not to say her companion would be ready for everything, but it was best to allow at least some time to pass inbetween shocking events or otherwise they loose that certain appeal which brings about the craving for more. Hips swayed naturally as she walked, but thanks to the male's comment and the recent turn of events, she was more aware of the movement and wondered if he was also. Although his steps were muffled by the vegetation covering of the earth, the fea still heard him as he advanced after her, organ quickening its beat in excitment. Entering a short daydream like state, she imagined him stopping her as she did him and returning the kiss with the same intensity, but the haze was broken when she felt his presance by her side. Taking a glance over at him, Bri forced the rememberance of the sensation of his lips on hers from her mind and tried instead to dwell on other curiosities the vampire raised. His skin gave off a dull heat, the temperature much cooler than the average human, but she supposed this attribute could be related to his half-dead state. Gaze dropped to look at the hand swingging loosely at the man's side, a small, personal grin streching across kissers that she tried to hide by tucking her chin closer to her chest for a moment while palm slid forward and fingers eagerly intertwined with his. Sweet invitations, such as this, were not something the lass had originally have expected from her chaperone. The reserved, nearly unnatural attitude he had held during their first meeting ensured he would pay her respect, be kind, and friendly enough, yet nothing had given her the inclination that the night-walker could be so genuinely caring as he was. Luckily, Dario seemed to be relaxing some around her, giving her the first glimpse of his true character which she hoped to see more of. Sometime, she would find the courage to tell him how cute he looked when he was free enough to joke around with her. Soon enough, they came to the road which led into the town and her attention was drawn to other things, cars that passed by becoming more frequent the closer the pair's strides took them to the heart of the place. Unknowingly, mass pressed closer to his side as the sound of car horns and shouting started to plague her ears, the sounds coming in faintly at first due to the distance between herself and its source, but as they drew nearer, the noise escalated till it was almost painful. Shades shut over jade surfaces, trying to shut out the piercing loudness of the city, one side of her head laid heavily upon his arm while hand clung to the same. Just barely, masculine words were heard over the static and eyes opened, chin lifting from where it was directed down at the concrete to include the baron's mask in her line of vision. Frowning some, lower lip was sucked between teeth, enamel surfaces toying with the flesh while focus left him, pools examining the surrounding area with the previously unbareable noise seeming duller now as the native became used to its constant presance. Suddenly, a person sitting in their car just beside them was cut off just as he began to inch forward, blaring his horn in anger and yelling obscene syllables which were heard loud and clear by Bricaza. Flinching, hold tightens upon his bicep, face turning towards his shoulder. Go somewhere away from all this noise. It is killing my ears. Addressing the question, vocals were mumbled against his skin, the essa realizing she probably looked like an adolesant, but did not care at the moment in time.

Don't get too attached you moron, you know in the end she will just leave you just like the others did. These thoughts plagued him. He liked to think that this time it would be different though he had promised himself that after Caprice and again after Axel and he could not bring himself to make himself a hopeless promise once more, one that might in the end let him down. Bri, well she was a lot different then the other girls, quite possibly the most genuine of them all, definately the one that was the most innocent and meant the best though in end it all came down to one thing. They all had left, no matter what the situation was, so it might have been seen as something flawed in the male. He no longer blamed them all, he did not blame Caprice for betraying his trust, he did not blame Axel for making the wrong decisions to lead to her death, and he did not blame Harlen for just disappearing off the face of the earth. He could not allow himself to dwell on the situation any longer without the feeling of his heart shattering deep inside him yet again, well what ever was left of the rusty old organ. He could not allow himself to push this girl away even though it was for all of her best interests. He was much too weak and gave into temptation that she provided. Feelings now had grown to the point of no return he no longer cared about his own wishes, as long as the girl was happy he would be too. She seemed to be satisfied when he told her that she was full of surprises, surely she would be able to see this for herself. She was far more interesting then himself. Of course he noticed every single motion of the girl, the gentle easy sway to her hips, the long fluid steps that she matched so fluidly with the man. The small little smiles that she shot him when she thought he would not notice, the playful gleam always present within startling vivid jade coloured eyes. He noticed it all and yet he was convinced if he made a comment about it that she would blush and be embarrassed, perhaps it would come up in conversation later on. She would be wrong to assume that this was the way that he was with all the people he met and he was sure that she was able to see this. The way he had been the night when they had met was the way that he treated nearly everyone, this well this persona was something that he hid so deeply within himself that sometimes he was sure that it was all an act, though it wasnt since it felt so natural. She was the second person ever to bring this out in him. He had not been this way with Caprice, at that time it all was nothing but a rush of hormones from at that time the young vampire. Their relationship, well it had been as casual as possible by any definition of the word. As for him and Axel, well they had been at eachothers throats much too often to worry about opening up to the other. Harlen had started to tap into the mans true personality though never fully since she disappeared before it ever had gotten too serious. He forced himself to push the thoughts from his mind as they entered the area in which the cars were all bottle necked. She gripped his arms quite tightly and a small smile crossed gentle features and he found himself thinking, 'this is better then watching a scary movie with the girl' enjoying the sensation of her being so close to him. Even to him, who was used to the noise of traffic it was a little excessive today even though he was able to ignore it and just carry on so when she told him she wanted to go somewhere that was not so loud he nodded and he had an idea that he knew would be a hit. Reaching the edge of the road he paused knowing they would have to wait for the light to change to red to be able to cross. Not caring that all eyes from the people on the sidewalk were on them he bent slightly at the waist to bring lips to hers, returning the kiss that they shared earlier. Eyes were allowed to close for a split second as breathing hitched in his throat, something he had not felt for a hell of a long time as adrenalin coursed through his body in a deadly cocktail that made him restrain the urge to just pull her close to him right then and there. The kiss still had a sweet manner to it as he pulled back to rest his forehead against hers. So many thoughts bombarded him, now he was convinced that she had only chosen him to be the object of her affections because she had not been immersed into the real world since she could do so much better then him. For once though he completely silenced the thoughts and shook his head lightly. Spare palm on the other side of his body ran through his hair, he was so consumed in her that he barely even heard the sound of chirping that indicated crossing would be safe until people shuffled around them. Arm was wrapped around her shoulders to keep her close to his body. Feeling the need to protect her from the harshness that was reality. A small shop was reached, the sign had swirly writing and it was decorated with white and red decorations. Stepping inside it was like a large cooler and before them sat a whole assortment of ice cream. Marble Slab Creamery. He took a step back deciding on his own frozen treat before bending down to her level. I hope you like ice cream. Go ahead and pick what you want. He gestured for her to choose first. Once she had decided and grabbed the frozen treat he stepped forth ordering himself the Birthday Cake ice cream in a bowl. After leaving bills on the cash register he stepped towards the door. Now to show you one of the things that I am sure you missed out on. Luckily it was not too far and he was able to co ordinate steps with eating the ice cream in the bowl and he was sure that they would have time once in the building. A large building with a large featuring a killer whale came into view and writing that indicated it was the Aquarium. He was sure that things like the Aquarium would not be seen as important from her training in the tribe. Paying the admission the door was help open for her as they were then directed to a large room that featured a tunnel like look to it. Some children that were already out of school for the summer were running in and weaving through them. The first room was uneventful with a large octopus and a school of neon coloured fish.

Without seeing where she was going, the lass allowed the man to lead her, trusting him completely to keep her out of harms way and to satisfy her one request. Body lurched forward slightly as he came to a stop. Having been unable to detect the sound of his shoes upon the pavement amongst the confusion of other steps, she had not noticed their haulting until being pulled back by his stationary arm. Curiousity got the better of her then and head pulled away from the safety of his arm, orbs roaming around the corner in an almost daze as they tried to take in all the sights, smells and sounds. Well, perhaps not ALL of these were desireable. There was a half naked old man with coated wires coming out of his ears to connect with a box strapped to his arm across the street and the whole city stunk of car exhaust, gressy foods and sweaty people. Plus there was the annoying buzz of hundreds of voices speaking all at once which only added to her irritation with the traffic. So far, the only positive outlook the fea had about the whole experience was that Dario was standing beside her. Warmth spread throughout abdomen at the thought, chin lifting and eyes turning upwards to look at the man only to find he was also looking at her. A small smile came over features before she realized his facade was gradually coming closer to hers. Startled, the expression faded, only to be replaced by alert, shining emeralds and slightly parted lips, heart rate increasing to the point where it dulled out the car horns and lyrics of strangers. Lips met his eagerly, finding the second, or rather third, kiss to be all that she had expected and yet, more. Lids fluttered open as he pulled away, the sudden rush of people around them ignored while pair remained fixed on his mask. Slowly, an irreplaceable grin lit countence and tucking her chin to her chest some, the lady wrapped her arms around his waist as they walked across the street, feeling all the more comforted by the strong extremeity that lay protectively across her shoulders. Thankfully, they soon entered into a little shop, one far less crowded than the sidewalk outside. The instant they walked inside, the aroma of sweet sugar mixed with lactose filled her nasal passageways, bringing her tiara up quickly, features growing more alight with excitement, Unentangling herself from his side, the lass moved towards the counter, peering through the glass at the many flavors of ice cream. She glanced his way with a frown when he told her to pick which one she wanted. But there is so many. Came the simple reply, making the teenager behind the counter laugh. Turning to look at him, Bri shot a sincere look over the top of the freezer. What should I get? She asked, expecting that since the kid worked there that he would know the best combination. Without answering, the boy set to work, taking two scoops of ice cream from the tub that was labeled "cheesecake" and adding dried strawberries. Fascinated, she watched as he mixed it together, placing the fruit in the middle before flipping, twisting and folding the ice cream over itself. Finally, when he was finished, the kid put it all on a cone dipped in chocolate and handed it across the top to her, smiling as he said "cheesecake with strawberries in a dipped cone." Thanking him with a sweet smile, figure turned towards her companion, watching as he knew exacally what to get before paying for both of their treats. Immediately, guilt washed over her as she licked the frozen sugar and milk mix from the pile on her cone. I should have brought my own money. Sorry, I did not think of that. She said quietly after hurring to keep up with him, a intrigued look shooting his way while she took a pause from licking her ice cream. Returning to her employment, eyes turned back to the walkway before them, the sound of traffic less blaring on the side street where they were now walking. Without much time elapsing, they came to a large building with a figure carved on the front that she had seen once in an old blanket at one of the elder's homes a long time ago. Turning to him in questioning, body pressed closer while they entered the front door, screams and laughter of childern meetin her lobes while she peered through the glass door into the main section of the building. Hand slipped into his as they advanced through the door, allowing him to lead her into the large, rather cold room while she crunched on some of her cone. Sockets widened in surprise at the sight of the water creatures, hold loosening on his fingers as she moved forwards towards the glass of the tanks, ignoring the childern that ran around like hooligans. Lifting her palm, she set it on the surface of the thick glass, smiling as a fish paused by her hand before swimming on. After a long moment, arm fell back to her side, amazing liquids turning to look at her companion. It's beautiful here. Tunes sounded breathless as they escaped, a implusive urge to kiss him again coming over her. Following her new design, she bent to the yearning, figure going up on tippy toes so she could reach his lips, her kiss soft and more brief than their earlier exchanges. Coming down to her own height once more, a new thrill of excitement sent a shiver through her body and on a whim, hand grabbed his, pulling him along to the next room in anticipation of what they would find there.
