Before he left, she had told him she had a diving trip in which she would be partaking in for the next two days. A smile crossed his face, nodding and teasing her gently once more about being an adrenaline junkie. She would be going diving, which only mad sense because she did work at the aquarium and was a marine biologist. A few worried thoughts nagged through his brain, but he remained positive that she would be fine. She was not the one who nearly drowned and he was quite sure that she was probably a confident swimmer. He did not need to be besides her every single step. An agreement was made that he would drive her to the heli pad, which was the best he could do probably under the given circumstances. Her response to him calling her beautiful made him want to chuckle, yet he refrained from doing so because she seemed a bit uncomfortable. As he gazed over different paperwork, mind began thinking up all sorts of frantic situations involving Ardeil and diving. There was a chance of her drowning of course. She could get eaten by a shark. Dragged off by an electric eel, the possibilities and danger seemed endless. Papers were shuffled through several times in order to double check that he had not missed anything. As he finally stepped out back, a deep exhale was released, inhaling the chilly winter air slowly. Fingers were rather shaky as he dialed the number, relieved to her the familiar, gentle lyrics speak into his ear. Hey. He managed in return, feeling like an idiot as he processed through what to say. No matter what situations he had came up with, he would not talk her out of the trip because it appeared to be something she was very interested in. She would be fine and he would be able to see her off. And then he remembered the fact that she was riding a helicopter to where she was going; it was sensible seeing as they would be going closer to the equator to go diving in warm temperatures. All packed, I would assume. He commented as he thought further of what to say. What time do I need to come pick you up? He asked, stuffing his hand into his pocket and stepping into an alcove due to the cold weather. He did not blame her for going to the tropics in the midst of winter, it would be nice even though it was not horrendous weather in the area. Head was dipped in a nod, despite that the gesture went unseen, as she stated that he could actually come get her in a matter of minutes. A brief good bye was spoken, stating that he would see her soon, which was true. Grabbing his things from the small room that was considered his office, his leave was stated on his way out the door. Keys were produced from his coat pocket, unlocking the car and turning on the heater as soon as keys were turned in the ignition. Reversing from the parking spot, it was noted that the roads were a bit slicker today so he was a bit cautious as he drove. Car was parked in her driveway, walking up towards her house, strides were lengthy upon stepping to her door. Fist gently knocked at the wooden surface, a smile across his expression as she answered. I think I know what's going on... He trailed off, expression going slightly serious. I ask you out, and then because I took too long, you are going to deny me of your presence? Tones were playful, brow raising a bit as well. As he stepped inside, shoes were slipped off to the side. Gaze rested upon her expression before letting his fingers trail beneath her chin and letting their lips brush for a short moment of time. It is going to be a long two days. He uttered, teasing her yet being somewhat honest at the same time. He really enjoyed being around her, despite the fact that they simply had only known each other for a short period of time. Yet, she had caught his interest from day one and still was continuing to do so. A step back was taken, giving her her space and dropping his hands in order to focus on the matter at hand. Do you need help with your things? He offered, though intending to do so anyways as he noticed the pile of different items she had packed. Several of the things were grabbed, tucking what he could under his arm as well as grabbing the luggage bag she had packed. They were placed in the trunk of the car, making only a couple of trips because there was enough packed for the two day venture. Glancing at the time on his watch, he deciphered they still had about five minutes before they really needed to leave, granted that she did not have her heart set on leaving early. So where exactly are you going diving at? Curiosity caused him to question, she had not informed him really of any details on the situation, which did not bother him. He just wanted to be vaguely aware just in case. Again, the jaws theme music was playing in his mind. He knew how ridiculous he was being by being so nervous, yet it was all because of his own experiences and fears.

She made sure to do one last check of all the equipment and ensure that she had packed a wet suit that was appropriate for the sub zero temperatures that the water off the Mexican coast would be. She knew that it sounded silly to go diving at this time of the year though with the things that they were studying there were only certain times of the year that they were able to be found. She did not like the idea of the cold water but she knew that none of her skin would be touching. The voice on the other line of the phone reminded her that she was not alone and that he was talking to her. He asked if she was all packed. Oh yes, it was very last minute though. She told him with a small smile that she knew would be carried through to the other end of the phone. He then asked her what time she needed to be picked up. Well, I need to be at the heli pad by 5:30 so anytime between now and then. She stated gently. She had just finished placing the last zipper closed on the bags before there was a knock on the door. She finished turning the rest of the lights off in the house leaving only the porch and the kitchen on so it still looked as though there was someone living there since she did not want her house to be broken into. Within a couple of seconds she then stepped closer to the door and pulled open the wooden surface to find the male standing there, every time she went without seeing him for a little while she forgot just how good looking he was, the epidemy of tall, dark and handsome though in place of the mysterious vibe you would expect from that assumption expression was warm and smoldering. Hazel optics landed on the other pair of earthtoned pools with a soft smile pressed on her lips before he spoke causing her to chuckle. Oh, you caught me. Sarcastic tones dripped off lips playfully before she closed the distance between the two of them and wrapped her arms around his neck, his fingers trailed over her chin and eyes met the mans gaze. Their lips met briefly, well more briefly then she wished before the attention was turned back to her bags and other things on the agenda, him stating that it would be a long two days. It will be for me as well. As I am freezing my ass off I know what I will be thinking of. He asked if she wanted help with her bags though he did not even give her time to answer before he had scooped some of them up and was heading to the car, she grabbed what she could fit in her arms as well and between the two of them it did not take long for her to be completely packed in the car and he turned to ask her where she was diving. In the winter we dive just below the California coast, it would be considered in Mexico but its farther out, the helicopter lands on a large boat that travels to the spot where we are diving since it takes awhile to get there we do not go with them until they have arrived and found the spot. She informed him, she stepped up to the porch of the house locking the front door when she was sure that she had everything before then walking down the steps to the car and sliding into the passengers seat.

Of course I did, this should not surprise you. Several small chuckles were emitted from his throat, eying her coyly as she admitted sarcastic defeat to his small joke. Her arms were wrapped around his neck and it gave him a small boost of confidence as he kissed her, though it was not allowed to last long. He noticed that she seemed a bit reluctant to pull away, a gentle smile easing its way across the man's kissers, turning into a crooked grin as she stated in turn that it would be a long two days for her as well. A few quiet chuckles rattled his vocal chords as she commented something about what she would be thinking of whilst diving. I will try to not suffer too much in your absence, and I would advise you to enjoy your trip. Cocky toned lyrics teased on the way towards the car. It only took a few trips to pack the car with her stuff completely, taking what he could in order to keep her from carrying too much. The man nodded as she explained to him that they would be diving basically in Mexico, but would be going from helicopter to boat to get there. It was a hell of a good thing that he was not the one going on such a trip, because there was probably not a chance in the world anyone could talk him into it. Mentally, he was having a very difficult time letting her go, not being able to keep track of her to see what was going on at all times. He felt oddly possessive, yet he was thinking more along the lines of danger. She would not be alone, which comforted him seeing as the idea of her being alone and completely vulnerable to the water and its inhabitants would drive him utterly insane and if so he may have even tried to convince her otherwise. And the idea of it being in Mexico did not calm his worries much either, fearing that she might be kidnapped or something along the lines. Sounds like a good time. He murmured with a nod, starting the car and backing out of the driveway. Her hand closest to his was grabbed, squeezing it gently before letting it fall to her lap once again. He refused to let himself get too caught up or distracted in her presence because the road conditions were less than ideal. She gave him directions to the helicopter pad which he found rather easily. Can you call when you get to the right place? He asked a bit hesitantly, rubbing the back of his neck as they pulled into the right spot. I just want to know that you've made it there alright. He was being honest about that, it was the least of his ridiculous worries, but it was there as well. Getting out of the car, a lever was pulled to open the trunk and he grabbed several things out at once. Several others were around, a pile of things that looked to be going on the trip were piled, the helicopter pilot directing a few guys were to place things to balance out the weight. As her hands became free after dropping off the last few of her items, arms were wrapped around her waist. Gaze met hers seriously, smiling down at her. A gentle kiss was placed on her lips. Please be safe. Have fun. He uttered, kissing her forehead softly. His arms embraced around her for a few more moments even after someone called her name. Reluctantly, arms fell to his sides with a nearly inaudible sigh, watching her walk away.

Already the man seemed to be starting to be a bigger part of her life. A month ago she would have been so excited to go on this trip and she knew that she would wish that she did not have to come back to reality though now she was wishing that she had a little more time to spent with him and she knew that when she was out on the water she would be wishing that she was doing something with him. He told her that he would try not to suffer while she was away and eyes were rolled in their sockets. She knew that he would keep himself busy so therefore he would be just fine after all it was not too much more then 48 hours and she would be back. Once her stuff was packed to the car she slid into passengers seat, it seemed as though in the last little while that she was spending a lot of time in this car. Seatbelt was slid over her lap before she then thought for a moment of what would be the best way to get to the heli-pad from here since she had not lived here for very long. It did not take them long to get there. When they arrived he stepped out of the car before moving to help her with the luggage he asked if she would be able to call him when she got to the destination. I am sure I will be able to. She told him with a small smile. Her stuff soon joined the pile that was starting to accumulate as a lot of the other divers some of which she recognized joined them. She knew that a lot of them would have flewn in last night and stayed in hotels since the Oregon coast always seemed to be their meeting place for this journey. That is why she had decided to move here originally since she started to like the terrain. Once her stuff was in the pile it was up to the other people who stood there to load it so she took a step closer to him wrapping her arms around his neck again with a small smile as eyes met his before lips pressed against his gently. I will be just fine. See you in two days. She uttered gently. Her name was called and instantly head shot in that direction finishing her good bye with him before then jogging off to the base of the helicopter and stepping up into the large structure, they would not be taking just one, there would be two since all the people would not be able to be carried in just one. When she had been checked off on the list she climbed into the seat fastening the belts and putting the head phones over her ears to drone out the loud noises from the helicopter. The night before she had been too scared that she was not prepared and had a hard time sleeping so this time once they were in the air she found that she as drifting off into sleep and did not even hear when the pilot told them that they had arrived a couple hours later and were getting ready to unload until the girl beside her elbowed her gently. A small smile was offered to the familiar girl as she took the headphones off and stepped from the helicopter. The boat was large and she figured that out as she was searching the halls to try to find her way to the room that she had been given for the trip. Finally she turned down one last corridor and the room 103 was on one of the doors and she dropped the amount of stuff she had brought with her inside the door before then vowing to call Donatello to tell him that she was arrived safely. It was ten oclock at night so it did not seem to be too late. Though she did not get any cell phone reception in the bottom of the boat and she knew that she would have to use the special phones provided by the boat since there would be no cell phone service in the middle of the ocean. When she arrived at the top she noticed that there was a small storm rolling in so she jogged across the deck to the cover of the captains lair. She asked him if she would be able to borrow the phone and he produced a large version of what looked to be a cell phone and directed her that if she was going to get service she was going to need to stand out on the deck if which was not pouring rain. So she dialled before pressing the call button and jumping out into the rain that was bouncing off the ships panels. She could barely even hear. When he answered the phone she was already almost soaked to the bone. Hey, I made it, I am sorry but I need to go though. Its storming and I need to be out on the deck in order to use the phone. I will talk to you when I get back. She stated before saying her goodbyes and hanging up the phone and returning it to the cabin. Grabbing a quick muffin and a few pieces of fruit from the area that was designated for the people of the trip to eat she then returned to her own room to have a quick shower and go to bed since she knew that it would be an early morning tomorrow. The trip passed so quickly with the mass amounts of diving and the dinner that they had proved the night after. Soon enough though after two days of diving they were loading back up in the helicopter and she found that she was longing for her own life back and the bed that she slept in. She had grown a lot more accustomed to it then she cared to admit. Muscles were sore and stiff from the amount of swimming that had been happening. She arrived that night at midnight and was groggy as she stepped from the helicopter to accept her luggage and spotted the male. Hair was pulled back in a loose pony tail and although she had been sleeping on the ride back she looked flawlessly casual. Dropping her bags she jogged towards the male, being rather dramatic as arms were thrown around him. I missed you. She told him gently before then dropping her arms. I found you something. She informed him rifling around in her pocket and pulling out what looked like a small bead in the palm of her hand and producing a perfectly round black tinted pearl. I found it on the first day of my dive, black pearls are the rarest and are a sign of prosperity. She then eased it into his hand with a small smile. She had been thinking of him when she stumbled upon it so it seemed only natural. She then returned to grab her bags and carry them in the direction of the trunk.

Good byes were never easy, well for most people, the male being one of the many. But he did not let himself get too worried, silently reminding that she would only be gone for practically a number of hours. She assured him that she would be fine and that was strictly how it was going to be. There were trips like this one constantly, and ninety-nine percent of the time, they went as planned and we completely safe. The amount of people going along calmed him as well. No, normally he was not so over reactive, it was just the diving part that had caused his mind to go in a frenzy. He had not told her how he was deathly afraid of open water, well he had not told anyone since coming to the states. Only his family members knew. When invited to beach parties or to go swimming or something along those lines in college, he always managed to come up with a believable excuse. He was ashamed of his fear, he really was. It was a weakness, a ridiculous one at that. But all he could remember of the ocean was swimming, being swept out, sucked under, and struggling. He never remembered the amount of actual time spent under the deep water, but it had felt like hours until one of his uncles was able to grab him and bring him back to shore. Gagging on and vomiting up sea water was not fun either, the memory still fresh from all those years back. Gaze watched the helicopter she had gotten on until it disappeared into the distant sky. Several other people had stayed to do the same, yet he was a complete stranger among them all. With a deep inhale and exhale, he returned to the challenger and drove home. It was going to be a long two days for him, it really was. He remembered he needed a few things from the store and went there last minute, wasting some time as he went down a few different aisle ways that were not necessary. Once returning home, he made himself simply macaroni and cheese for dinner, not feeling like putting too much of an effort into cooking tonight. He found himself staring blankly into space several times when flipping through the channels on the t.v., yawning slightly. He refused to go to bed until he received the call and lucked out by hearing the phone ringing moments later. Hello? The line was not very stable, the static breaking up her voice but he was able to decipher what she was saying. Thanks for calling. Alright, have fun. He kept it brief since she explained that it was storming and he did not want her out in it too long, yet alone him being the reason. Still, he hated saying good bye but he did so, replying to her own. While she was gone, his phone was never more than a foot away from him it seemed, just in case. The meetings were as long and as boring as always, but now he started to go back into the kitchen for a few hours as he used to do more often. He enjoyed it, assisting the chef with what he could and being instructed about new items he had never before cooked. Seeing as the workers were more of family-type crowd it was very enjoyable, quite a few of them were fluent in Italian as well so he caught himself slipping into a mix of both languages afterwards. It was not until her absence until he really noticed the amount of time he spent with the girl on a daily basis. He just lost track because every time she was around he was enjoying himself. No, he was not dying without her, but there was some boredom to it so he attempted to keep himself busy, sometimes with pointless chores. At last came the night when he was supposed to go pick up Ardeil again, not until midnight but he did not mind staying up late to go and get her. He arrived a bit early, but it was sort of a habit for most occasions. When the clock revealed it was only a few minutes until twelve, he got out of the vehicle and stood leaning against it. Gaze flickered about the night sky, noting the starts but searching for lower lights. He caught track of the flashing lights and a small smile crossed his kissers. It did not take long for him to recognize the girl as she stepped from the helicopter, him stepping forwards to help her with her bags. Though she noticed him and came running over, the smile across his face becoming more apparent as she then wrapped her arms around his neck. He embraced her gently, kissing her forehead before softly kissing her lips. As I have missed you. Vocals replied, letting her go as she wished and then starting searching around for something. That was not necessary. He uttered, speaking of her getting him something, yet he was still curious. A small sphere was produced from her pocket only to be placed within his palm. Eyes flickered over the black pearl with interest, gazing at her as she explained the rarity and the prosperity that was to come along with them. Thank you, Ardeil. He murmured softly and carefully placing it in his pocket for the time being so he would not lose it. He had considered getting her something as well, but he could not think of something suitable for now, all though he did have plans for the next night. Grabbing most of her things and placing them in the car, he cast a glance towards her with the crooked smile usually adorned on his features. So how was the trip? He asked, generally curious. As she explained, he held the car door open for her before getting in on the driver's side. He made sure the heater was up enough for her and drove the familiar route to her home. Would you mind joining me tomorrow night? He did not comment on his plans, seeing as they were supposed to be a surprise for the girl. Once more he carried what he could of her luggage to where she wished. It only took a few minutes but he could tell that she was exhausted, which was pretty much a given after an excursion such as diving. With a gentle sigh, the girl was pulled closely to him and kissers were pressed to hers slightly, biding her a good night as he let his arms fall to his sides.

She had sat in the plane and prepared herself for the moment that they would meet again for at least the last hour of the flight and yet nothing seemed to compare with what she felt as steps were taken across that asphault and in his direction. Bodies collided with a certain force that caused heart to pump rapidly in her chest and breathing to speed up before it caught in her throat. Nothing could have prepared her for this and she was not sure if it was even real or just a figment of her imagination, she would not admit to those feelings though, that would leave her much too vulnerable. His lips met her forehead and a broad smile crossed her face reflecting into hazel coloured pools. But he was not finished at that until a tender kiss was pressed to her lips. Lids fell closed over pools for a moment but he broke away long before it was made into anything scandulous. He told her that it was not needed that she brought back something for him. With a sincerity she reached up to rest her hand on his cheek as eyes met his. It reminded me of you. Rare and brilliant. She dropped her hand as she finished speaking and turned back to then pick up the small remainder of her luggage and carry it in the direction of the car. Hand was raised to wave in the direction of one of the guys that she had been on a couple diving trips but soon her undivided attention was then turned back to Donatello as she slid into the car beside him. He asked her how the trip was and she shrugged. It was pretty good. Its been a lot time since I have been on a boat for more then just a couple hours though and I nearly got sea sick. She pulled the seat belt over her lap and directed the heat towards her as she then settled back into the seat with a small sigh and trying her best to not allow her eyes to close though it was then that she realized that she really did not get a lot of sleep on the trip with the rocking of the boat. Tomorrow night. Hmm lets see. I suppose I could, what time? She asked with a small smile. There was no question whether or not she was going to agree. She was then pulled into his arms again with a small sigh. Bidding him good night she then stepped into the house turning the lights on and making sure to check all the closets to ensure that there was nothing hiding out. She then settled into her own bed and fell instantly to sleep. She awoke in the morning and the light was streaming in the windows, it was much later than she had been known to sleep and she then moved her luggage and started to unpack it before heading off to a cafe seeing as she had no food in the house. Settling into a corner booth and waiting for the waitress to come over to her.

After he had told her that she shouldn't have brought him anything back, her hand was held against his face and deep gaze watched her in complete silence. The meaning of the way he was looking at her was something more than normal as her next words followed out. Genuine smile crossed his kissers, though he was at a lost in what to say to her in turn. He was completely speechless and froze before quickly helping her with her luggage. She explained that her trip was good, which he expected her to be a bit more enthused except that she then told him the reason why. That does not sound like too much fun. Vocals returned quietly, glancing over at the girl constantly, having missed her presence for the number of hours when she was absent. He caught the drooping of her lids and could tell she was trying to fight off the desire to sleep. It was assumed that she did not have to work tomorrow therefore she could catch up hopefully. Five? The time was a split second decision, but it sounded just about right for his scheming he had come up with. Though he could tell she already seemed to have answered despite not knowing the exact time. Only after noticing the lights flicker out did he pull out of the driveway. The pearl was placed in a special location so he would not lose it and remember where it was. He quickly fell asleep as well once he settled in the large bed. Waking up later in the morning in comparison to the normal business schedule, the male ambled about the house before actually setting his mind to what he had to do. A long warm shower was taken, the water running over his muscles on the chilly morning was quite refreshing. He changed into a pair of blue jeans and a random navy t-shirt before going out for a quick jog in a light sweatshirt that he got quite a few stares for seemingly being out of his mind to some people. The jog helped him ease his mind and further lay out the plan for his date with Ardeil, even though he had not exactly specified it to be a date. A quick jaunt to the restaurant was made, getting a copy of a certain recipe from the day prior as well as a few recommendations. He bought the different ingredients to ensure he had every one. A few more places where he needed to go were though of, walking along the sidewalk to a few of the boutiques along the way. He felt strange, walking in places that smelt strongly of perfume or flowers but he had a purpose. Heightened hearing caught a few of the private conversations of a few employees, causing him to chuckle slightly to himself. First, he went to a jewelry store and felt completely out of place, but there was a few people who offered help and advice which was much appreciated. Being a man, he was entirely baffled about how the women made their choices and how their opinions differed because of the slightest things. Yet he finally managed to get the "okay" from several of the workers and escaped one store for the time being. The next was not quite as overwhelming because it was not as big of a shop and the florist went ahead and basically made the choice for him. He felt the various looks of multiple people but did not care anymore because he was much too focused on other things. He was striving for perfection. Upon walking past a cafe, he took two steps forward only to step backward quickly. And what were the exact odds of her being on the same street in which he could have walked passed and spoiled some of the surprise, he had no clue. A detour was taken behind the alley way, placing the items in the trunk carefully with the exception of a single flower. Another plan had come to mind. Strides carried the male into the cafe with a strong confidence, flower hidden behind his back. Having memorized the area where she sat, he approached from behind her, bending to speak softly in her ear. Il mio tesoro piĆ¹ grande. {My greatest treasure.} The flower was presented to her, a charming smile across his facade.

She had to be ready by five o clock so when she awoke that morning even though it was nearly lunch time she had a lot of time to kill. The unpacking only took a little while and soon the house was completely back to the way in which she had left it two days earlier. She stepped into the shower and the hot mist eased the sore muscles that had been overexerted from the dive which reminded her that she really should get swimming a little more often. A towel was wrapped around her and hair was blowdried before picking out an outfit for the day, the one that she had planned for the night was set aside on her bed. Changing into a pair of jeans and a hoody she placed a scarf around her neck and then placed her grey peacoat overtop of it all getting ready for the winter weather. A thin layer of mascara and eyeliner adorned eyes before she stepped out the door pausing to lock it. Hearing her stomach growl she quickly decided she was going to drive since walking would take much too long. A small smirk fell on kissers when she realized how lazy she was being. Christmas was a big time of the year for the girl and for once she realized that she had not even begun to think about it and it was well past the deadline that she set for herself. Her life had just been too busy, it was a strange concept and yet she did not find herself feeling as though it was out of control. Legs were crossed at the ankle beneath the table as she sat there, wishing that she had chosen a seat that was a little farther from the door since everytime someone walked in she was welomed with a burst of cold air to her back. She tried to zone that out though to focus on the menu and deciding on the hot turkey sandwich and ordering it when the waitress came back with her Coke. She allowed the straw to bob in the glass and clinking the ice cubes along the side of the glass before taking a sip of the bubbly substance. Gaze was then focused on the outside world, a few couples walked along the sidewalks as well as some older businessmen that looked as though they were out on their lunch breaks, all were bundled up just like her. Mind was elsewhere and no thoughts were given when the door chimed and she did not even realize that he was behind her before Italian words were spoken. She jumped a little and tensed but soon shoulders fell lax and the words were deciphered. Eyebrows shot up when she turned to meet his gaze. Treasure? I could get used to being called that. Though I am almost positive that I was supposed to meet you at 5? Have I really lost track of that much time or can you just not get enough of me? She asked him with a coy grin before noticing the flower that he held out to her and instantly the witty banter fell short and turned serious as a tender expression crossed her face as she accepted it. She was not about to admit that she had never had a boyfriend that had brought her flowers, and his track record was good since this was the second time. She did not feel comfortable just sitting there while he was standing behind her so she stood as well for a moment and gave him a brief hug before then moving to sit. The waitress brought out her food and she gestured for him to sit across from her. So what have you been up to this morning? She asked him. So are our plans still happening tonight?

Instantly, it was noticed that she was tense from him sneaking up behind her which he constantly had to remind himself not to do. A gentle chuckle rang from him as she spoke of getting used to being called a treasure. Yes? Unless of course you would rather me come up with something else... Eyebrow raised, rolling his eyes. Oh of course I cannot get enough of you, there is no such thing as enough or too much when it comes to terms of being in your presence. He uttered in response, being somewhat serious as well. Though his facial expression changed somber as she took the flower and gave him a hug. It was quite awkward, standing there and speaking to her rather than sitting at eye level with her. She gestured for him to sit and he did, watching her with a small smile. I was running some errands. He said simply, shrugging his shoulders as she asked if the plans were still on. Yes, of course. Vocals were gentle in his reply. Glancing around the small restaurant, he caught sight of the clock to find that he had a few hours until he was originally supposed to meet her. I will leave you to your lunch. See you at five?My house, I can pick you up if you would like? The options were given just to double check and make sure they were on the same page and there would not be any confusion. His temporary good bye was simple seeing as he did not wish to draw more attention to the girl which could make her uncomfortable. Striding towards the door, one more quick glance was cast in her direction, leaving out to his car. Returning home, he arranged the ingredients in an orderly manner and placed the rest of the items he had purchased aside for the current moment. The dish in which he had decided upon was called chicken tetrazzini, and it was known to be a little complicated yet he had watched the chef do it in the kitchen just the day prior so it did not appear to be so much of a challenge. He was not overwhelmed by the recipe instructions so therefore it could not be that confusing. Luckily enough, he did not get uberly lost and was able to at last place the cooking dish in the oven. The time on the microwave oven read that it was around forty-five minutes until five after he had set the table as well as added a pair of tall candles. Then it was decided that he should change his attire and switch to a less casual appearance. A Van Huesen grey polo shirt was put on, changing into a nicer pair of jeans. Stepping into the bathroom, the male ruffled his hair until it was in the normal messy yet clean look. Small spritz of cologne was applied to near the man's neck before stepping back downstairs. Checking the time to see that there was ten minutes until the time he had arranged the date for so he figured it would be best to go and pick her up. He considered lighting the candles prior to leaving so the house would be in complete darkness with the exception to surprise her yet there was a possibility that a candle would fall over and thus set fire to the entire house. But, he still had another plan that would be second best and he never told her his exact scheme so it would be a surprise as it was. Flowers were grabbed prior to leaving, the small box being hidden for the time being. The drive to her house took a few minutes longer than planned because he did not consider the road conditions. Knuckles knocked lightly upon the wooden surface, opposite hand holding the carnations by the stems. Ravishing smile was across the male's handsome features as he waited in patient silence.

He seemed to have a bit of a perplexed look on his face when she commented though instantly it changed when he stated that the plans were still on and she searched his face to see if she was able to find any insight to what was going to be happening that night. She did not mind though seeing as the element of surprise was always nice. He took a seat across from her and explained that he had been out doing some errands when he had seen her. She nodded with a small smile. It was a treat to see the man long before she was supposed to meet up with him. Before long he told her that he would leave her to eat her lunch and see her later. Not before he asked her if she wanted to drive to his house or he could pick her up. If it meant being with him a couple minutes longer she did not mind being picked up. It is fine if you want to pick me up. She said softly before then turning her attention back to saying good bye. Brow was raised slightly though she did not think too much of it before bidding him goodbye and watching as the male made his way to the door and out into the frigid weather again. It did not take long for her sandwich to get to the table and stomach was grumbling since she had not eaten much the night before since she was much too tired and she had ended up sleeping in. She finished her lunch in record time before leaving a couple bills on the table and walking towards he door, slipping her coat over her shoulders and pushing her arms through the sleeves before hitting where the gust of cold wind originated and stepping out onto the sidewalk before pulling her keys from her pocket and unlocking the car before she even arrived at the door and driving home. She parked the car in the garage since she did not have any intention of it going anywhere else today as she allowed herself to recover from the trip and lack of sleep that had happened. When they had been there they had initiated a night time dive, one thing that she had never been a part of before so therefore she ended up diving in the day and then again at night so there was not much down time. Though they had found the statistics that they wanted for research so they would be alright until spring now. When she had arrived home she had an idea, it had been a long time since she had baked and it might be a nice suprise for the male. The flower was placed in a vase on the counter by the window so that it would get light and water as it needed it and so that it lasted the longest amount of time. When finally the batter for the cookies were prepared she set the timer on the oven and jogged up the stairs to step into the shower before she was set to be picked up. She had wasted a lot of time on the baking and almost lost track of time so therefore her shower was nothing more then five minutes leaving her time to blow dry and straighten her hair before she jogged back down the stairs to take the cookies out of the oven and place them on top of the stove to cool before finishing getting ready. She did not know how to dress so she picked out a nice shirt that was a tank top that dipped into a low v and gathered in a rather fancy manner before placing a cardigan over top and then her charcoal coloured pea coat on top with her nicest pair of jeans. She only used mascara since that tended to be her choice of makeup. She then ran down stairs after turning all the lights off and grabbed a bag to put the cookies in before taking a deep breath since she had managed to accomplish everything before he arrived. At a couple minutes after five there was a knock on the door which she sprang up from her chair to answer. When she opened the door eyes widen as yet again he brought her flowers. A broad smile settling on kissers as before she even said anything she leaned forward to kiss the man. You spoil me. She stated gently before taking the flowers and then allowing them to join the one he had given her before before returning to the door to follow him out to his car. When she had gone back inside she remembered that she had forgotten the cookies. Ill be right back I promise. She jogged back into the house and grabbed the bag before returning to the car and handing it to him. I made cookies in my spare time, and its no fun to just bake for myself. She uttered handing the bag to him with a small smile.

Carefully, the flowers were given to her, hand brushing softly against hers for a small amount of time.He was then greeted with a beautiful smile followed by a kiss from her, a gentle chuckle ringing from his chords as she commented on him spoiling her. Eyebrow was raised, shaking his head. I would not consider it spoiling if it is well deserved. Every princess deserves her crown. Words were murmured softly before she stepped away to place the flowers elsewhere. It was promised that she would return quickly as she left, seeming to have forgotten something.Which he though nothing of her leaving and the promising statement she made caused him to chuckle. Of all the things he'd worried about, he'd never really considered her leaving him. And still the small comment did not bother him, he refused to think of any of the stupid situations in which he had conjured up in his mind. Sometimes, he could get over reactive, but for the most part was not. The key reason why her trip had gotten him thinking so weird was because of the involvement with the ocean. Really, he needed to let that incident go. But all he ever did was keep it bottled up, only his family members knew of the fear that resided in his mind. Never had he had the courage to confide in someone he could trust and tell them of his fear.Nearly inaudible sigh came from the man, vapor present in the air after the exhale while he leaned against the car. As she stepped out from the house and was carrying a bag, the passenger side door of his car was opened for her. Aw and look who is spoiled now? He chuckled with a small smile, taking the bag from her hands and carefully placing it in the back seat so they would not get ruined. They look delicious, thank you. Words were quietly spoken before he shut the door and strode to the opposite door. The drive back to his house did not take long, but he was glad that it offered a few more minutes with her, which was one of the reasons he made the offer. The others were because it was considered proper for the man to drive, and he was somewhat concerned on the conditions of the road. Of course, he knew she was fully capable of driving and it had been a suggestion. Stepping from the car as it was parked in the driveway, he walked briskly to the passenger side to open the door with a small smile, the cookies were grabbed as well. Strides were even with hers, taking a few steps before her simply to unlock the door of the house and gesturing for her to go in. Light jacket was placed on the coat rack, taking hers as well and turning towards her with a small smile. Everything will be finished in just a moment. He murmured before heading into the kitchen for a moment. Dish full of the main course as well as one with a simple salad were placed on the table, he had already set down the plates and silverware beforehand. Two tall candles were lit in the center of the oak table and finally he deemed it suitable only after playing with the knob on the light switch and dimming the lights appropriately. A quick picture was taken of the setting on his phone, being sent to the few of his advisees before turning off the cell's power; he did not want to be interrupted by anything during his current plans. With one last backwards glance at the table setting, lengthy strides carried him back to Ardeil, slowly taking her hand and pressing his lips to the tips of her fingers. Your table awaits you. Vocals were soft, dark eyes watching her with a gentle expression, figuring out how lame he sounded in his mind but quickly forgetting about it as he slowly ushered her to the table and pulled back the chair before she sat.Soft kiss was placed on the top of her head as he stepped away to the opposite side of the table and sat in the wooden chair. Chicken tetrazzini; a new recipe I got dragged into while you were gone. He explained lightly. Gaze wandered to hers from across the table initially, trying to search for her reaction. He was silently pleased with himself so far and this was simply just the beginning for now. How long can I have you for? Rich Italian tones asked, simply curious and trying to make an estimate of time in order to adjust the plans if necessary. Still, he was not going to tell her his exact scheme of things, it was a surprise. But that did not mean he wouldn't drop hints along the way. After she served herself, he put some of the meal on his plate, a bit apprehensive about her opinion on it. Naturally, he wanted to impress the girl so her opinion meant more than most others to him.

The words coming from anyone else might have sounded corny though the way that the man said it uttered in a perfect truth made a small appear at the corners of her lips and she could not help but feel a small waver in her confidence. How was a girl like her with such a perfect gentleman. Due to her previous encounters with her witty banter she had always been paired with the bad boys, and it always ended badly with them cheating on her, or just getting involved in something that she wanted no part of. This man carried on the banter with her as well and they got along famously though he was also a proven businessman who knew how to work hard and had seen the benefits of what happens when you work hard. When she finished college and became a marine biologists she did not date, there was no use she was travelling too much and she did nothing but worked, she worked so hard she was self dependant within the next year and built a reputation to be proud of. Now that her life seemed a little more settled and she found a place where she would be able to stay and secure a permanent position it seemed right for her to allow herself to date again, more maturely this time. Already she was nervous to know what the male had planned for the evening. Nervous in a good way of course as butterflies did sommersaults in her stomach. She closed the door behind her getting into the car that she had started to claim the passengers seat as her own as she settled back ino the leather and pulled the seatbelt over her lap before then handing him the bag and he stated that he was the one that was spoiled now. Your welcome. She stated before then turning to the road and watching as they pulled away from the parking spot by her house and headed over in the direction of his house. It was nice to have him drive her to his house since that would mean that she did not have to worry about anything. She did not need to worry about finding the location since she had never been there before and she did not have to worry about the fact that it snowed a lot in the past couple days and even though her tires and car were good in the snow she did not trust her driving skills. As they walked up the driveway she shrugged her jacket from her shoulders when they entered the house and he took it and hung it on the rack behind them. Thanks. She uttered gently pausing to take a first impression of the mans house, the style in which it was decorated looked a lot like she would expect judged on his personality and what he held dear to him. She nodded when he told her that it would be just a moment allowing him to do what he needed/wanted to do before it was revealed to her. When he returned instantly her hand was brought to his lips and her fingertips were kissed. As he told her that her table was waiting brow was raised slightly. She was not too sure what to expect as she was lead to another room of the house. She was really starting to appreciate how comfortable he was getting with her since she knew that statements like this would not come from his mouth had he been questioning what she would think. A broad smile captured her features. As a kiss was pressed to the top of her head she then allowed fingers to trail down the males forearm before taking her respective seat at the table. Gaze caught with his as he explained the name of the dish. It sounds amazing, and smells amazing too. He then asked how long he would be able to have her for. As long as you want me around. She said with a small smile. As he started to eat she did so as well. The napkin at the edge of the table was placed delicately in her lap. The food was rich and filling and yet she found herself able to an adequate amount ending in her feeling stuffed.

It had slipped his mind that she had not been to his house before, so he would have had to of given her directions to get there as well which would not have been a problem although he did have a tendency to give confusing directions, especially while being distracted. Now that this was taken into consideration, he was very glad that she had taken him up on the offer of him driving her. He pondered over what would have happened if he had not got up in the whole zoo incident and never happened to meet the girl who he was now trying so hard to impress. Actually, if she had not rescued him and their paths had somehow crossed, he was not sure that he would have given seeing her a second chance. If he had a 'type', she would not be considered among that stereotype. But the more he saw of Ardeil, the more she allured him, especially from the contrast in his last relationship. That had not ended well, she ended up cheating after twelve months and when he found out, she simply told him it was because he was too "boring", too "safe". Those words stung, but he refused to retaliate and point out the danger that being in his presence could bring. He let her walk out, and he changed after that. Sure, he still did get a bit too worried on occasion, but it was not something he pointed out plainly now. He was more reserved, a little more care free upon certain subjects. Attention returned to the current time, small smile sent to his date before disappearing for a few minutes. The curiosity in her expression was apparent, yet he said nothing and simply lead her to the table with small pride which grew at her reassuring smile. As he stepped away, he felt the faint presence of her fingers along his arm which boosted his confidence yet again. Alright, this was not a bad idea so far. And at the moment, he had little doubt that she would not enjoy the rest of the events he planned. Kissers were seized by a soft smile as she commented that the food sounded and smelt amazing. Thank you. Small nod was given in return to the compliment. Brow was raised in response to her statement as she said he could have her for as long as he wanted her around. Head was shaken with a gentle chuckle. Well, I could see that lasting for days; but for your sake, I'll try to get you home at a reasonable hour. He promised with a trace of mischievousness in his gaze. After they had both finished eating, he grabbed the plates and washed them off before placing them both in the dishwasher. Would you mind joining me for a walk? Vocals asked, looking over to her as he strode back towards the table. The candles were extinguished and the lighting readjusted, walking with her to the door and handing her coat as well as grabbing his own. A few of the lights were left on within the house in order to keep it illuminated for when they returned. Stepping out the door, he did not find the temperature to be unbearable, but he did glance over the girl's clothing just to make sure that she would not get too cold. Stride length was kept average, walking along besides her with ease along the sidewalk. Faintly in the distance, he was able to hear the gentle sound of jingle bells as the team of horses maneuvered their way about the park at their master's commands. Eyes traveled to the maiden walking beside him as he spoke. I hope you are not afraid of horses? He would be quite surprised if she were, she did not seem to be one with many fears. And if she were, plans could be compromised without missing a beat. He continued walking to the park with her upon reaching a bench were the sleigh was known to pick up new riders. Sitting on the wooden frame, arm was rested across the top before gradually draping around her shoulders. The snow began to cascade from the sky in light, small flurries. Soon, the bells sounded again and the team of two grey horses strode forth in even stride, their exhales pronounced in vapor. The old man driving the team looked quite happy and dipped his head in acknowledgement. Once the animals came to a complete stop, the male gestured for her to climb in first. After you.

She knew that if she had not been at the zoo that day and not trusted her instincts her life would be a lot different now. Not that it would have been bad, she would have fallen into a normal everday routine that was a safe situation for her with few changes, engulfed herself so far in work that she would feel as though she was drowning so that she would not feel as lonely as she really was and just lived each day as it was handed to her. She would not be taking the time that he work vowed to give her off, that she usually shrugged off to be with a man that she had met under such strange circumstances. She wondered what they would tell someone one day when they asked how they met. They could say that they met at a zoo but that did not give their first encounter the flare that it meritted. Morals were something that the girl placed very high in importance. When she had been in relationships before she had been cheated on and the feeling was so crushing even though she had not been very serious with some of the bad boy types she had gotten mixed up with though she learnt that she would never allow herself to do that to someone. When you dated those types you also learnt what you did not want from a relationship very quickly. She had always been wondering where they stood when they were together and what he thought of her. While with this man she knew that if he wanted to be with her then it would happen and that was the way that it was. When he asked her to be his girlfriend he meant it, there were no ulterior motives behind the words besides enjoying spending time with her. It was a nice feeling, to not always be confused. There was no wonder to why the mans restaurant was so sucessful as the meal was so well prepared and delicious. He laughed as she told him that he could have her as long as he wanted. Brow was raised slightly in a playful antic. Its ok I don't think you could handle having me around for that long. I would drive you crazy. She assured him in light tones. Before she was able to grab their plates he had already done so and carryed them to the dishwasher before then returning to her. Asking her if she would join him on a walk. Do you even have to ask that? She asked with corners of kissers turning upwards in a small smirk. The candles were blown out leaving them in the darkness for a moment before he turned the lights back on and bathing the room in the normal colour of light. Eyes wash over surroundings that were previously dimmed for a moment before following him to the door. The jacket she had worn on the ride to his house was pulled over her shoulders and the buttons at the front were done up to ensure that the winter weather would not penetrate the fabric. She was warm though and had come prepared since a lot of the time they seemed to end up outside. Strides were long matching the taller mans strides with ease as they walked along the sidewalk. The sound of bells caught the girls attuned hearing though it was not too hard since there was not too much going on and most of the night was completely still, snow seemed to do that to people. Horses? Of course not. In fact I have one of my own. She told him with a small smile. It was something that a lot of people did not know about and she knew that she had not mentioned it to him before, though truly it just had not come up between them. The mare was kept at a boarding stable just outside of the town only a couple moments from her house. Luckily she was on full board so therefore she did not have to worry about the care of the animal when she was away and lately she had not been out there as much as she would have hoped. This would all change with her new look on life. No longer would she be going to the barn at 5 am before work to ride the horse she would assert special time for the animal like the Andalusian mare deserved. She would not longer be working the crazy hours. He lead her to the bench on the corner of the park and they both sat she stared up at the sky as the snow started to fall once more with a small smile when his arm was draped along her shoulder she allowed herself to lean into him slightly resting her head on his shoulder and looking up at him before then directing her attention to the sleigh as the sound of bells started to grow louder and eyes widen slightly as the large horses came to a stop in front of them, stunned by the picture that was before her. The animals were large and graceful even in the snow that was deemed slippery, though she knew that they had special shoes that would allow them traction in these conditions. He then stood gesturing for her to step into the sleigh though she was not able to help it and walked to the front of the horses patting either one before then moving to step onto the sleigh with a small smile uttered to him. And yet you never cease to amaze me. She informed him quietly before taking a seat beside him.

A part of him was afraid to wonder what the outcome may have been if she had not came forth and trusted her gut; if she or no one else had the unique power that she possessed. There was a good chance he would still be there, and be stuck there until he died or attempted his own escape. And if he stayed there all his life, they would have figured out the difference because he would live about three times as long as the normal leopards. So practically, he would have been screwed. But no, she had came in and played the role of heroine, all the while him struggling to keep his mouth shut and trying not to say something stupid because of his astonishment. And here they were, a few weeks later and dating. Weird how things worked out, but he would not have had it any other way. He was pretty damn lucky to have her save him from discovery or death and then be sitting here next to him as his girlfriend. Gentle eye roll was all that came in reply at her comment on driving him crazy, which took a lot of effort most of the time. He was rather laid back and mellow in persona. The answer to his question was not what he expected, brow raising in slight interest. Well, I figured it was better to ask. He gave a low chuckle, shaking his head as they walked out the door. The snow falling down was considered to be perfect for most who liked snow, there was not a trace of rain apparent in the flakes as they hit the sidewalk in clutters. Though no one seemed to be enjoying it as they were, and it was a calm quiet. Intrigued gaze watched the girl as they walked while she answered his other question. Really? I was unaware of that. He commented as she stated that she actually had a horse, now that he thought about it, he could easily see her riding one of the animals. It was probably at a stable of some sort seeing as her house did not appear to have adequate acreage. Personally, he did not have much experience with the animals although he was a bit interested in them. She looked to have relaxed as his arm was gently rested along her shoulders, gentle smile adorning his features once again as she leaned closer and let her head rest upon his shoulder. He found it to be very reassuring that she was comfortable around him and in relationships it was an essential thing. It was nice to have things between them clear and not in the cloud of confusion he was doubting before having asked her to be his girlfriend. As he watched her expression at the animal's stopping before them, he had to stop himself from chuckling. She seemed utterly surprised, but it may have been simply because the sight in front of them was Christmas card perfection as well. He could not have asked for a better night weather wise. because he thought the snowfall made the atmosphere just a tad bit more spectacular. He wanted the night to be special for her, but he would enjoy pretty much anything they spent doing together. He was slightly baffled as she stepped away, not entirely sure of her plan. Gentle laugh came from the man as she then preceded to pet each of the horses before climbing into the sleigh. As he joined her in the sleigh, eyes rested on her. She told him that he never ceased to amaze her which made a broad smile come across his face. Arm snaked around her shoulders and gently pulled her closer. I'm hoping that is a good thing. He said quietly, lips pressing to the top of her head for a small moment. The horses strode forward the sleigh followed behind without a hitch, the soft sound of the bells flowing freely throughout the park. Ardeil, I'm leaving to Italy in a month... He let his vocals trail off for a moment, trying to think how to phrase it and wondering if it was a good decision or not. Just for a few days, to visit my family because I usually go every year. Would you mind, coming with me? I understand if not, it probably is a bit overwhelming, but... Shoulders were shrugged, not exactly sure what else to say, distracted smile was on his face. He wondered if it was smart to ask her of such a thing, but he wanted her to come if she wished to. His prior girlfriend had refused to come, and then his mother seemed to think he had made the story up and promptly tried to hook him up multiple times that week. It was very awkward for him, but he knew his family meant well. They were a loud family, but also courteous so he was not too afraid of bringing Ardeil if she agreed to come. He would also make sure to book a hotel room strictly for her so she would be comfortable as well. If she did not want to come, he would be fine and understand completely. He did not dwell on her answer and decided to appreciate the moment while he waited patiently. Right now, he found himself to be the luckiest guy in the world and he was rather proud of his decisions so far tonight and was hopeful that the course of events would continue to stay flawless.
