The male knew very well the dangers of this girl that sat before him knowing his most important secret, the one that very few people knew of; including no one else since he had moved from Italy. Yet, if something were to provoke her, his life could be ruined from a few spilled words. Some might listen, others might think it to be ludicrous. Either way, there would be suspicion. And then there would be a good chance of his secret being publicized through some sort of tests that would indeed prove him to be a freak. In the beginning, he saw a few simplistic advantages with being a shifter. Later on, it frustrated him and he'd gone through the stage where he despised it completely and tried to permanently stop any sort of change which did not work in any way. Now, he tolerated the issue, but he still felt alone in the world. Despite the obliviousness of most, he felt like a stranger amidst it all. Everyone else seemed to be blessed with normal genetics. The small flicker of hope that was still apparent in his mind had been very close to a smolder until the strange feeling he had gotten at the dinner with Ayrn. And it was only now that he could remember the musty scent that had been present in the air then. Of course now he realized that she had for surely been some sort of shifter, more specifically a type of canine. He now had his faith in other humanoids reassured once more after meeting Ardeil with her strange gifts. His smile lifted a bit at the corner, turning crooked in a small bit as she concluded that she was into such things. Aw makes perfect sense. Fitting for you. She would of definitely had to have some sort desire for an adrenaline rush to have successfully rescued him as she had done. Now, she was a bit more reserved then he had recalled, and he partially thought it was just the emotional high after such a difficult task. His brow arched a degree as she instantaneously guessed that the restaurant was indeed his. He did not like to admit so very often and nodded once. You got me. He held up his hands in a joking surrender. I do suppose there are not many people straight from Italy in this area. Yet again, he was a minority, but in one way or another everyone was at some point. His heritage did not bother him the slightest bit, and it probably would never. He was proud of who he was for the most part. The smile that came after he spoke of his visit to Crete lighted up her face, and with the small conversation he found the girl more and more interesting. Of course, he found her very interesting from the start seeing her rebellious streak that could have of cost her her job. Naturally, anyone who took a risk such as that had to be a very intriguing character. Not long after their food was ordered, the entrées appeared in front of them. He murmured a polite thank you to the waitress after she asked if they needed anything else and hurried off again. The napkin was placed upon his lap as he had always been taught to do so when eating a formal meal. He paused from eating as well when the waitress returned quickly to refill their drinks and ask about the meal. He told her that it was excellent, which he did not realize how long it had been when he had gone and had some actually authentic food. They finished at around the same time and he was relieved that she did not insist and put up a fight about paying the bill and he did without hesitation. It was indeed a thank you, but he wanted something else as well and would figure it out some way or another. The dinner was not enough. He smiled as she thanked him for the dinner. Thank you for coming. It was nice for me as well. He walked beside her on the way to her car, about to grab the door as she did so instead. Thanks. He said quietly, distracted by the snow that was softly cascading from the night sky. Winter was appearing at last. The snow had already gently dusted the roads, and it did not seem to be a major threat though it did make the asphalt slippery. He found himself to be well balanced and was about to offer her a hand if she needed it when a sudden cold fell along the back of his neck. Hey! He chuckled. Instantly, his hand rubbed most of the snow off, but some of it fell down his back and caused his spine to arch in reaction. His body wanted to shift merely by that involuntary action, but thankfully the desire was not strong enough to take over his focus. He bent down and grabbed some of the snow as well, and threw it in her direction but missed on purpose. Steps were taken back in her direction and he watched her, shaking his head. I must say, I've never been hit with a snowball after taking someone on a dinner date... He did not even realize that he had technically called it a date, but it did not seem as though it would be a big deal anyway. But then again, how many people have been rescued from the zoo; especially by someone so unique as yourself? He raised an eyebrow coyly and the crooked grin crept to his features once more. The cold night air made it possible to see your breath with each exhale.

He seemed to be great at reading people, telling her that the adrenaline seeking behavior seemed to be fitting for her. She nodded lightly. It was true though since the people that were well behaved rarely made history, or was that saying to do with women? Either way it seemed to work for her. In some ways her rescuing him from the zoo had been an adrenaline rush but in other ways she had been positive that he had not belonged there and she would not be able to forgive herself if she had just ignored her own common sense and left him there. After all look what he turned out to be? Not a fat and balding old man but basically a guy that would correspond to most girls ideal picture of the ideal man. A twenty something year old Italian restaurant owner? Who was obviously not only well off but also amazingly good looking. She felt as though she did not stand a chance around him even with her exotic travels and interesting job. He then confirmed that it was true that he owned the particular restaurant that they were eating at and a small chuckle followed with his dramatic raise of his hands in defeat. Well I think you have done a fabulous job, its amazing. The food was truly amazing and the decor was just as stunning and she found herself a little jealous, he had something to show for all his hard work. Sure she was well off as well but there was nothing concrete that she had to show for it besides the degrees and certificates that she had gotten as well as the memories that she had stored along with a couple of pictures. In its own way though her job was just as rewarding, she had more then a lot of girls her age did, she worked her ass off to pay for the down payment on the place that she had bought in town and was doubling up on the mortgage payments to get it paid off as quickly as possible. She had a nice brand new car and she never really had to worry about the income that she made she was able to go out every weekend and not put a solid dent in her bank account so it was not as though she was unhappy. It was simply a different kind of satisfaction. It was a contradiction to every rule that she had set out for herself to simply allow for him to pay for her but she could not argue that it was a thank you from last night. So she would allow it to slide this one time. As they stepped out into the frigid air she breathed out deeply watching the whisks of warm air flow from her lips and raise into the air. It was intoxicating and she could not help herself as she threw the snowball at him even though they did not know eachother very well. A small smirk was shot his direction when he told her that he had never been hit by a snowball on a dinner date. Well thats boring, clearly you have never been on a dinner date with me. She said with a small chuckle ducking even as his snowball passed even though it was a long ways from hitting her. Unique? I am not too sure whether to take that as a compliment. She said with a small good natured smile. She was shivering by now since she was sure that a dress was not meant to be good attire for this weather. Well I better go before I freeze to death, thank you so much for inviting me to dinner. I had a great time. She pulled her keys from her pocket and walked to the car, knowing he was following her which was a nice change. Especially when she pressed the key into the ignition and the car did not even make a noise or even an attempt to start. She then noticed what her cuplrit was. Her lights were switched to the on position. A small sigh was uttered a fist banged against the steering wheel. Damn it. She muttered before looking up to him. Would I be able to bother you for a ride home? She asked quietly. I left my lights on and my battery is dead. She hated to have to ask him though she did not want to have to call a cab if she did not have to, the drivers really scared her.

He had learned how to decipher people's personalities through their actions very easily, and found it to be a useful thing throughout his life. It was very easy to figure the kind of people that you could trust and the ones you couldn't, their work ethic, etc. He did not solely believe that his other persona was the main reason in which this trait was so easy for him, but he did think that it did have some extent to it. He chuckled quietly as she complimented him on his achievements with the restaurant. Thank you.He never directed attention to his ownership, unless it seemed to be a vital part of the conversation. Here, he found himself very content with the current talk they were having. It was normal. The restaurant could have been something to brag about, but he was not that type of person. If he were, perhaps he would have named the restaurant after his family or himself, but he was not conceited like that and did not care to be singled out from the crowd on purpose. He had a plan of handing over the restaurant or doing a partnership with it so he did not have as much stuff to keep track of and possibly do some other type of job for awhile. He wanted experience in other areas as well, even though he had no clue what type of things he would actually get to do. The restaurant was doing well, so the profits had been a very nice income. There was always a spare account set away for if his family ever needed it. Despite the little contact he had with them, there was always an amount of worry set aside in his head for them. The extra money was also put away, investing in only important things and not flaunting material things around without a care in the world. As he stepped closer to her, he watched the smirk that overcame her features and shook his head. Yes, boring indeed. Apparently not. May I ask how many have survived after spending a night out with you? Amused expression crossed his facade, falling in step beside her as she continued to her car. We'd really be out of luck if I did the same thing, wouldn't we? He commented, trying to keep the mood light as well as trying not to make him self look like an idiot at the same time. A gentle chuckle rang out into the atmosphere at she seemed to contradict what he had tried to say in a good way. I meant it as a compliment, but that's just me. Unique is a good thing, in my definition. But, I guess it could be both as well. Shoulders rolled into a shrug. He nodded as she started talking about leaving. Thanks for coming. It was a pleasure. White teeth were flashed in a casual smile, stepping away from her car and watching for her to pull out without a problem, just to check for sure. He expected the car to start but it did not, and it was then he noticed the very faint glowing that was seen in her lights. He heard her curse and then glanced over to her as she got out of the car. Of course. It's no bother. He stated, walking along with her to the charcoal challenger. The passenger door was held open for her and then carefully shut after she slid in. Long steps carried his frame to the driver's side and he got in, looking over to her for a moment as he started the car. And to where am I taking you on this marvelous evening, Madame? A mischievous grin took its place across his lips as he backed out of the parking lot with ease.

She did not allow herself to continue to gush on the restaurant since he did not seem to be too comfortable talking about it, she knew that if she was in his shoes it would be the opposite, she might not want to brag about it either though she knew that she would want to talk to someone about it. Since it was a reflection of such hard work that in a lifetime a lot of people did not even accomplish. He was stable and looked to be about her own age, most people her age were still trying to figure out what they wanted to do with their lives or they were working dead end jobs and counting the days to the weekend with no ambition whatsoever. The planning that must have gone into the place would be beyond her own knowledge. She pushed this to the back of her mind though as they then made their way outside and into the cold air. After the minimal snow ball fight that she had almost wished had continued she made her way to the car really glad that he was waiting for her to start the car and it didn't. She was sure that he would have caught the curse that left her mouth and instantly cheeks turned red and she looked a little humiliated. She was glad though when he told her that he would be able to drive her home and she stepped from the car. Since the battery was dead the alarm did not even work so she had to lock all the doors manually and she grabbed her purse and the few things that she might need before walking in the direction of his car. She had not seen his car before and the new Challenger was a nice suprise. In a stunning Charcoal grey, it could not be more fitting of the classy man. It was was a tasteful car without being too flashy. She stepped into the passengers side settling into the nice seat easily before pulling the seatbelt over her lap. Trust me to have that kind of luck. She told him with a small smile. He then asked her where they were headed and she thought for a moment since she did not know her address all that well yet since it had only been a week at most. 1016 Westminster RD. She told him and she was almost positive it was that number. She was glad when they pulled up beside her house. Thank you so much again. She told him. I had fun. With her goodbyes said she made her way to the front door glad that she had remembered to grab her car keys when she had thought of it last minute since the key to her town house was sitting on the keychain. She unlocked the door and passed into the house flicking on the occasional light switch but then thinking better of it since she knew that she would just be going to bed anyways and turning them all back off after she had passed through the room and heading up the stairs to her bedroom. She had had a shower before she went out for dinner so she did not bother with that before she undressed and crawled into bed with her pajamas. The thoughts from the dinner that night lulling her into a light sleep. The next morning she was awake just after dawn and the strands of colours from the sun coming up were still apparent in the sky. Feeling refreshed feet were kicked off the end of her bed and landed on the hardwood floor of her room before she walked to the dresser to get dressed in pair of jeans a t-shirt, she put a hoody over top since she knew that it was much too cold for just a thin cotton shirt. She then moved to the kitchen and started to prepare breakfast. She called the tow truck company giving them the address of the restaurant before she set out to walk there since it was not too far of a walk and when she arrived she sat in the car with the door open waiting.

He was almost tempted to say something about perhaps having another night out together, but ruled it out.She was probably very busy with her job, and had prior engagements that he couldn't even fathom. He barely knew her, but he liked her personality from what he'd seen of it, and it was impossible to deny that she was not attractive. She kept things interesting, which he found to be a very good thing.A gentle smile resumed on the man's features as she once again thanked him, he was very pleased that she claimed to have had enjoyed herself, for he did as well. The car stayed in the driveway until he made sure that she made it into her house without any problem, a proper thing to do. The drive to his house was not at all far, the distance between them being nearly only a couple of blocks. Once he returned to the confides of his home, he was unable to go to sleep just yet. He changed simply into a white muscle shirt and a pair of sweats for the remainder of the night. Restless energy was generating throughout his body, so he busied his self with meaningless things until finally he went for a short walk down the road. The night air was still dry and cold, it was no longer snowing and the layer of flakes along the asphalt appeared to be fading. It would come and go as it always did, nothing stayed quite the same all the time. The walk did not last long, the temperature getting to him as well as the desire for sleep settling in. Sleep overcame him soon after lying in the bed. Peaceful sleep was interrupted by the squawking of the alarm, a reminder of the morning's meeting which would not last long but of course had to start at an early hour. Morning routine was forgotten not long after it was done, grabbing something to eat before setting out on the road. The meeting was at a conference center downtown and was the same things he was used to; graphs, statistics, paperwork, and more discussions. Thankfully, he found the conference to be rather quick and painless, his own thoughts elsewhere at the moment. Curiosity caused him to wonder if Ardeil had got her car fixed, and it now occurred to him that he should have made an offer to drive her the following day in order to pick it up. Of course, it was an after thought now. Lanes were switched, pulling the car to one of the spare spaces behind the restaurant. Strides originally took him towards the front doors, but then he started towards the parking lot, noticing a certain car with its door open. He stopped, leaning half way against the car as he bent down and looked at the girl with a crooked smile. I'm sorry miss, but I'm afraid there've been a few complaints that the parking lot is not a camp ground and we don't offer parking for more than five consecutive hours, with the exception of employees. He paused slightly before continuing on his teasing rant. And it appears that the car will have to be towed, unless... He straightened his back and casually propped an elbow on the car, stroking his chin as though he was in deep thought. Aw, now...what was that one condition? He kept playing along, shrugging his shoulders as the tow truck arrived at last. Well it seems to be too late all ready. He chuckled quietly, standing normally again. Hand was offered in a gentlemanly gesture for the girl to take as she climbed from the car. As soon as she was on her feet once more, his hands were held at his sides in the normal manner. Glancing over to see the rather rough looking driver step from his truck, he turned apprehensively to Ardeil, making sure his voice was not loud enough for the driver to hear. Do you need a ride to the mechanic? I can take you, or I'm sure Mac here would be more than happy to? Eyebrow was arched slightly out of habit, waiting silently for an answer as the car was examined.

She had had a wonderful time and she had thought that he had as well though when she got out of the car she was thrown for a little bit of a loop when he did not suggest that they do this again sometime, though she was not too sure what to think, perhaps he had just been being polite all night and it truly was nothing more then a thank you dinner. She was happy enough to chalk it up to that and forget it though it was not as though he lead her on to believe anything else so there was nothing to complain about. She did not think too much of it since she was always the type of person to over analyze something that truly in the end did not mean anything. So she slipped into bed and managed to fall asleep, waking up rather early to start her day off with picking up her car which was a true pain in the ass though it was her own fault for leaving her lights on, she wished that she knew someone with a set of jumper cables since the problem was that simple to fix but instead she would have to take it all the way into a mechanics shop and get it worked on, though that was fine with her since she also needed a oil change so in reality it was not all that bad, plus it was not as though she did not have the extra money to get it towed, with the new job came a lot of perks and one of which was the more money part. This time when she left her house she was not dressed as formally as the night before, a nice pair of dark wash jeans slung low over her hips though she was not the type of girl to have her abdomen hanging out in the open her shirt met the pants and was topped with an off white coloured sweater. Hair was pulled into a bun as she walked to the restaurant thanking that it was not too far away. By the time she had arrived she had already called a tow truck on her way and they assured her that they would be there within the hour. So when she arrived she was lucky to realize that the car had enough battery to unlock and allow her in to the safe confines of the car so she did not have to wander around and look like an idiot until the tow truck arrived. When she looked back up she spotted the man from last night walking in her direction, looking just as stunning as he had for their dinner and instantly she felt a little under dressed in comparison and then she simply had to remind herself that this was nothing more then a coincidence and she was bound to run into him since this was his restaurant and he worked here. A small sigh was uttered. Playful vocals made their way to her ear drums telling her that there had been complaints of the car being there for more then five hours. Oh no, should I go apologize to the owner of this fine establishment. How could I possibly make it up to him. She said with a small note of play in her voice. Brows raise in a joking manner. She then spotted the tow truck driver and trust her to get the most sketchy looking one that looked as though he would not hesitate to throw her body in a ditch somewhere and take her car for himself and hide it in his garage for ten years. A sinking feeling dropped to the pitt of her stomach as she then moved forward to talk to the guy and tell him where to take it. He then proceeded to start loading it up. Hands brushed together as he offered to help her to stand before his lyrics then continued offering her a ride to the mechanic. Well I am sure you have a lot to do, you don't need to, under any other circumstances I would refuse but it seems I called the sketchiest tow truck driver around. I am sorry to be such a hassle. Now I am sure I owe you. She told him before telling the tow truck driver that she was getting a ride from Donatello and walking in the direction of his car that she had not spotted when she had originally walked into the parking lot. Once they were in the car she breathed a sigh of relief befor giving him directions to get to the mechanic. Stepping out of the car and into the parking lot. Thank you so much. She told him with a small smile before passing into the building to fill out paperwork.

Before having bought the challenger, a pair of jumper cables was always hidden somewhere in the vicinity of his vehicle, but he had forgotten to place some since he purchased the new car. Otherwise, he'd have been happy to offer the lady of his help. Now he had a reminder to put the cables somewhere in his car, which there was always a good possibility of needing at a later date. He was rather amused by her reply and the way she played along without skipping a beat. It would be a wise decision to do so. Ah, that is yet to be determined, but I'm sure he'll let you know as soon as it comes to mind. That line opened up an opportunity to him, one that he was determined not to let go to waste. He would not chicken out as he had done the previous night. He could sense the small bit of unease that came from the girl as she caught sight of the driver, and he was oddly pleased that he managed to be there at the right time to offer her an alternative suggestion. He instantly dropped his hand back to his side as she got up easily on her own, it was an unneeded gesture to say the least, just a habit. He'd always been raised to treat women with respect and offer a hand whenever it seemed appropriate. She still caught his eye and was registered as stunning within his mind, despite the absence of the dress from the night prior. He normally would have not been adorned in the suit, but he had the professional appearance still only from the meeting and he had yet to get a chance to change. He shook his head as she accused him of having much to do and it being a hassle.A quiet chuckle sounded out as she stated that the truck driver was indeed rather creepy, looking like someone who might be a serial killer or kidnapper. Actually, I just had a meeting and that's it for today, so therefore my schedule is rather blank. And it would be a pleasure to be your chauffeur for a few minutes. You owe me nothing, you must realize that you could have in a sense, saved my life? He stated in a friendly, but serious tone, vocals low as to not reach of the drums of the driver even though he was plenty busy hooking up the car. As far as he was concerned, these simple little things were the least he could do to repay her so far. They arrived at the mechanic within minutes, he nodded as she thanked him. Again, not a problem. Would you mind joining me on a date tonight, something a little more casual? I can pick you up at seven, or you can meet me, if you are interested of course. He asked, managing to do so before she walked away. Hand rubbed the back of his neck in an awkward manner for a moment as he waited for her response. Maybe it was a bit too much for her, but the only thing he could do was try. And he tried to let her stay in her comfort zone and not feel pressured in any way. He just found himself immensely interested in her, more so than usual. She was different, but as he had stated before, it was a good kind of different not that she had exactly agreed. What kind of person who rescued a leopard that was not necessarily human from a zoo, risking her job potentially as well as the possibility of going to prison? He figured the amount of people willing to do so was probably down to single digits, if not only her. Still, she knew his secret and he was not going to let her just disappear, seeing as she was one of the very few that knew. He'd never intentionally told anyone of his strange genetics, they'd either known or found out accidentally. Thankfully, none of the accidents had caused him any sort of danger, yet. And all of those who had found out, seemed to have their own secrets that separated them from the normal world, so for the most part it seemed safe. But was anything in life ever really safe? It didn't always appear to be so. Nothing was ever guaranteed, that was for sure. Gaze watched Ardeil, focusing his attention to her while he waited patiently for her reply.

She enjoyed the sense of humour of the guy and was unable to not smile. So the prospect of getting into the car with him when they were driving to the mechanic was appealing. The car was amazing and that a lot of guys would spend their whole lives trying to achieve what he had worked so hard to manage to be able to afford. The seat was comfortable and spine rested against the leather cushion designed purely for the passengers comfort, the seatbelt was pulled across her waist and buckled beside her. Though it was barely even long enough to do that when they pulled into a parking spot at the local mechanic. She lingered within the car for a moment longer to thank him, and then he seemed as though he wanted to say something more. She was then asked if she would come with him on a date later this evening. A small welcoming smile crossed lips and played on features. I would love to. Pick me up at seven? She was not too sure how long it would take for her car to be finished so she did not want to tell him that she would meet him somewhere and have it not work out, or have it so that she drove there and ended up leaving her lights on again. If plans change just give me a call. She took a scrap piece of paper out of the small purse that she had been carrying that fit not much more then her wallet and a pen before scribbling the digits of her cell phone number. Warm smile remained plastered on features causing mocha depths to sparkle lightly. She then raised a hand in a small wave before continuing along the sidewalk to the door. Learning that her car would not take long at all and the oil change would take no more then half an hour and they would just charge the battery while they were doing it. By the time that she left it was still early in the day. Giving her enough time to get home and do a couple errands before she felt as though she needed to start getting ready. Having just got home from a jog through the park that nearly backed up to the townhouse that she lived in she stepped into the steaming hot shower and allowed the water to pelt over tight and sore muscles. She stood there for long enough that the water started to go cold and by the time she was washing the shampoo and conditioner out of her hair she was shivering with the temperature and rushing to try to get out of the spray cursing herself that she took too long. She wrapped a fluffy beach towel around her before stepping back into her bedroom to set out he clothes that she was planning on wearing. She remembered that he had told her that it was a little more casual though she was not too sure what this would mean so she layed out a nice pair of jeans and a t-shirt knowing that it was cold out and she did not want to be a hassle if they were going to do something outside she placed her large buttoned grey jacket and a scarf there as well before blowdrying her hair and allowing it to fall in loose waves along her shoulders and dressing in the clothes that she had laid out before placing a thin layer of makeup on and a spritz of Ralph Lauren On The Rocks. She then trod downstairs and took her seat on the couch where she knew that she would be able to notice when he arrived.

A pleasant smile crossed the man's features as she responded in telling him that she would come. Yes. He nodded, referring to the time in which she checked to see when she would be picked up. Alright. He said with a smile as she handed him the scrap of paper that had several digits scrawled onto it. See you tonight. Words were spoken before she walked off and into the mechanic's office. He seemed to have made a step in the right direction and he was happy about it, though he now had a decision to make pertaining to what exactly they were going to do. The car was driven out of the parking lot, and the dial for the radio was turned to the right, increasing the volume of the stereo to a point to where it came from the speakers clearly. Several radio stations were flipped through at a red light, the male pausing as he heard an advertisement for a corn maze. It sounded like a good idea to him, being a relaxed, casual atmosphere. He'd been to a few during college, joining in with the large groups as they created their own ways through the maze, without being caught being the key concept. A quiet chuckle rattled his chords and he decided that it was a good option, seeing as Halloween would be here in a few days and it was only a once a year thing. The drive took him back to the restaurant, checking a few things over as he had originally planned before running into Ardeil. It did not matter, it was nothing he had to do at a certain time anyway. His time spent at the facility was only an hour, but it seemed to last forever, probably because he was still considering a few things for the date and not paying attention to what he was supposed to be doing. He was relieved once he returned home, changing into a white sleeveless shirt and a pair of long shorts adequate for working out. He then headed to the gym, to kill some time as well as to get a work out.He did several reps on a select few of the machines, running into a few guys he knew and having a few short conversations with them. No one had noticed his small absence at all, so everything seemed to be going without a hitch. An idea came to mind as he pulled out of the gym's parking lot and almost immediately into another. He went into the grocery store without hesitation, thankful he hadn't sweated much, otherwise he would have been to embarrassed to step into such a busy place. Strides took him towards the floral section and he was confused by the amount of different flowers available. A decision was made based upon simplicity and the classic choice he knew of, red roses. He then debated between either a dozen or simply one. He noticed that he was rubbing his neck, a habit he did when things were either awkward or confusing. The man came to the conclusion that the dozen was probably a better idea, and found the ones that looked what he thought to be the liveliest, going to pay for them only after he doubled checked with the florist who agreed as well. He was confident as he strode towards the car, placing the flowers carefully in the passenger seat so they would not be damaged. Once arriving home, the drake took a quick shower and dressed into a thin black t-shirt and a pair of jeans that still looked representable. A small sigh was uttered as the male fixed his hair into a more orderly version and sprayed a proper amount of cologne. As a glance was cast towards the clock, he became informed that he had only ten minutes to seven. After deeming his appearance to be good enough, the male went down stairs and was sure to grab his black, military style jacket before striding out the door and to his car. He made sure to have grabbed both his keys and wallet, driving to her house and arriving a few minutes early. His left hand gripped the flowers as even strides carried his frame up the walkway. A breath was gently exhaled, residing momentarily in the air and disappearing before he knocked upon the wooden surface.

It had been a long time since someone had so sucessfully taken her mind off things that usually plagued her, she had to admit being around the guy was a lot of fun, the flirty manner in which they talked to eachother a boost in confidence for them both since it was almost positive now that both of them enjoyed one anothers confidence. It had also been a long time since she had been on a date and she fiddled with different clothes and debated different hairstyles like she was in high school when in reality she knew that this time would be casual she still wanted to look her best so there was a possibility of a second date. Well in a way this was sort of their second date though the one last night had not been official it was clear that in the dimly lit restaurant now that it had been a little more then just a thank you. Though she had not been sure until that morning when he had actually asked her out on a proper date. She was glad that her cars battery had not been working the night before because that gave her an excuse to go back to the restaurant without being creepy and see him again since he had not even asked for her number the night before so therefore she had just assumed that he did not have any interest in seeing her again. A thin layer of mascara and eyeliner was applied to accent mocha pools before hair was pulled back into a headband but otherwise was loose around her shoulders. When she was sitting downstairs she heard the door being knocked on and stepped up from the couch and headed to the front door. The click of the dead bolt could be heard as it slipped free from the door and the door was pulled open to reveal the man and his roses, brows raised and eyes widened as he handed them to her. Wow thank you. She stated gently. Come in for a moment while I put them in some water. The house was neat and orderly, it was an almost brand new town house. She had barely unpacked but it already gave off a sophisticated air that she had created by the Greek decor strewn throughout it. Traditional statues sat on the mantle of the fireplace and a couple shadow boxes lined the walls, along with a couple pictures from her hometown, but she moved in the direction of the kitchen. Standing on her tip toes to reach the vase that sat on the top of the fridge looking rather unused. She then rinsed it out and placed some fresh water in before then placing the flowers on the counter, a constant reminder of the well mannered male that she was about to go out on a date with. You really did not need to, but thank you, they are amazing. She uttered once more before then heading with him towards the door, she allowed it to close behind her pressing the silver key into the deadbolt and turning it until she heard a click then stepping off the porch and in the direction of his car. So how was your afternoon? She asked when they were both in the car and she had slid the seatbelt over her lap, she did not question where they were going since she liked suprises and would rather it remain that way.

The look of surprised that ran across her features at the sight of the flowers caused him to grin crookedly, though he did not let the small chuckle rattle his chords. He knew the roses may have been a little too much, but he ruled out that just because of the way it lit up her face. You're welcome. He said in formal tones, smiling and stepping inside the door as she started walking towards another room. He remained by the door, glancing around the house with a normal amount of curiosity. Her Greek heritage was evident through the decor of the house, a brief reminder of what he had experienced from the short time he had spent in Greece. He caught a glimpse of her trying to reach for a vase from around the corner. As he was about to offer help, she had successfully managed to get it down without an issue. As she thanked him once again for the roses, he chuckled softly. It was something I wanted to do. He insisted in a gentle tone as they walked out the door. He paused as she turned back to lock the door, the muffled sound of the lock very clear for his ears, but he thought nothing of it, locking your doors was a very good habit; until you managed to lose or lock your key in the, though he never managed to do so. Of course, he was sure to have a spare key hidden where only he knew it was. Charming smile ran across his kissers as the car door was opened for her, careful to shut it before getting in on the driver's side. Key was turned in the ignition until the motor came to life quietly and the car was pulled from the driveway. Rather boring, for the most part. Though, I was fairly distracted. Shoulders rolled slightly, a soft chuckle was emitted before glancing over as the question was returned. Yours? The car switched lanes before turning down the road where the corn maze was located. The night was already getting dark and tall lamps were positioned about the outer edges of the maze, the illumination was clearly lighter in some spots more than others. I hope this is alright with you? People had different opinions, so he was not exactly sure if she would see it the same way he would. If not, he would offer to take her somewhere she might enjoy.Though, he was not too worried about it. The parking lot was not very full, it was not crowded seeing as it was actually a week night so there would not be as many children running a muck, if any. He walked beside her towards the main gate, pausing near the few concession stands and looking to her. Is there anything you'd like? The question was asked specifically for her, him not minding either way.

Flowers were one thing that were to a girls heart. Even though she was not big on flowers the thought that came with them was what counted. He had already made a lasting impression on her that she knew would last well through the beginning of the night. As she stepped into the car she was excited for what they would be participating in. She asked him how his day as and he responded that it was boring and that he had been distracted, a small frown crossed her face at this comment but quickly it was gone when he chuckled at the response and light hearted expression then returned. About the same. All I did was run some errands. They pulled into a parking lot for a corn maze and instantly her eyes gained a sparkle and the adventurous side of her starting to shine. It is more then alright. She confirmed before stepping out into the parking lot and heading towards the front of the maze where you paid your fee and she pulled out her wallet when they arrived passing the woman behind the small desk a bill that paid for both of them before he was able to protest. She then told them that they needed to have a hand stamp and she held her hand out to recieve a corn cob stamp on the upperside of her hand before stepping into the area, it was pretty well abandoned since all the people that had been there before had left to go for dinner and it was not quite late enough for the people that wanted to navigate it in the dark. She paused waiting for him to pass through the gate and join her. She already had a small plot forming in her mind. Ready? She asked as they approached the front of the maze and when he told her yes they passed through the beginning. She was amazed that the corn created such a wall they were so close together that you would not be able to pass through them and create your own short cut and they were at least four feet above her head that no one even the tallest people would not be able to see over the stalks. Steps were light as she navigated the corn. The first turn in which she took ended up to be a dead end and they had to turn all the way back and pass through into another section, this one was not too good either since it was nothing more then a large circle that caused them to cut back to where they had started. Then a playful smile crossed her face and as they crossed a corner she jogged ahead of him disappearing around a corner and knowing it was dark enough that he would not be able to see her. Tucking herslef into a sneaky small alcove she waited for him to pass by before she stepped out and behind him jumping at him and placing her hands on his shoulders. Boo! She called good heartedly with a playful smile before falling into step beside him. There were letters that you had to collect as you were passing through and then in the end with all of the letters you had to unscramble a word to win a prize. So when she spotted a small sign she paused to write down an H. After a few more steps she saw a wooden platform that was raised above the corn, though it was not high enough that they would be able to see the path so really it was of no use but of course she had to climb to the top anyways. The view was cool and she took a moment to sit in one of the chairs. This was a good idea. She announced.

She admitted that his choice was more than alright and he grinned, glad that the radio advertisement had gave him a worthy idea. He caught the glimmer of excitement that seemed to become more apparent in her gaze and chuckled softly. A bill was passed to the gatekeeper before he had a chance to dig his wallet out. He did not make a scene of it though, figuring a way to get her back without her being able to get out of it. The ink stamp was passed on the back of his hand, but he already seemed to be moving too slowly for her. Strides were long and even as he walked towards her, nodding as she asked if he was ready. She seemed to already have an entire game plan set, he figured so by the way she was acting. The corn wall was much too tall to see over, probably still a good three feet above his head at least, making the challenge more difficult, which was intended to do so. There were a few smaller, easier mazes to navigate through but they were created more for younger children and families. Is it safe to trust you to take the lead? He questioned jokingly as she promptly lead them into a dead end. They started back from the beginning, he frowned as she jogged ahead though reconsidered thinking she was maybe scouting ahead. He was rather baffled once she hadn't said anything or come back after a couple moments, so he started walking again, only to hear very quiet footsteps. She was playing a game with him or so that's what he got from it. Even though he was aware of her presence near him, he was still tense. Steps were slow, a small hmm being uttered beneath his breath until she jumped out in a blur towards him. He sidestepped from her playful sneak attack, laughing and rolling his eyes. I was afraid I'd done something wrong. And then for you to attack me? I will have my revenge. Lyri were teasing, glaring at her for a brief moment, falling in step with her once again. As they collected the letter H, he made a small comment. I'll bet you it says 'harvest' or 'Halloween'. He challenged her as they walked, glancing up to the platform as she climbed up it. He waited a minute before climbing up as well, it was not very high and he was not scared of heights at all. A smile crossed his features as his frame was lowered to the chair. I'm glad you approved. It was a spur of the moment thing actually. He shrugged his shoulders in a relaxed manner. The night sky was dark, but clear. The weather seemed calm, a nice surprise seeing as the night prior it had been snowing a bit, but it could have stormed during any time. It was as if luck was on his side for tonight, the cards playing out to his advantage. He climbed down before her, standing beside the ladder in case she slipped or something. So besides thrill seeking, scaring, and corn mazes, what other hobbies do you have? And if anything, don't you like? He questioned, purely out of plain curiosity. Curiosity killed the cat, yet he normally wasn't so interested in such conversations. But here he was, almost waiting for an answer from the girl only to have a question come to mind. Though he would not ask too much, because he would then possibly come off as nosy or rude, which he did not consider himself to be personally. They paused here and again, collecting more letters and back tracking occasionally. In the end, the letters spelled 'harvest' and he wiggled his eyebrows at her playfully. I'm good, aren't I? Vocals were cocky, but he was not being serious. The card was handed to the lady at the gate who checked it over and gave them a certificate before briefly explaining the drawing that was really the grand prize. For getting the correct letters, they got a free candy apple which he of course handed to Ardeil. Thank you, again, for joining me. He said, kissers forming in a pleasant smile that revealed white dentals.

The corn maze proved to bring out the little kid in her, causing her adrenaline to spike to a level in which she was able to feel her heart pounding in her chest. Oxygen drawn into her lungs was instantly dispatched to fuel the muscles in need. She did not have the most alluring affect when she jumped out at him though he had probably been able to hear her anyways, damn cat like hearing. She did not allow this to bother her though since he was quite happy to play along with it and shoot a comment that was aimed at trying to make her feel guilty but instead a stunning smile was plastered on features in a joking manner. As he told her that he would have his revenge brow raised a little in amusement and she made a not to be on high alert at all times. She would not allow him to get away with this revenge thing. When they climbed the platform he took a seat with her. He confessed that coming here was a spur of the moment thing and shoulders dipped in a shrug, it showed that he did not think like a regular person, they went on a date to a corn maze, not just the regular out to a movie or dinner. Sometimes that would turn to be a little awkward, though the maze turned out to be a blast. Within the next couple moments he allowed herself to relax and focus a little less on the maze and turned to meet the males eyes, the intensity of the gaze then struck her a little and she turned back rather shyly towards the sky that was now getting dark, there were no lights in the maze and she did not even bring her cell phone with her so therefore they would be out of luck to find the letters if it were to get any darker. She stepped easily down the ladder waiting for him at the bottom and allowing him to lead this time. He then asked her what her other hobbies besides scaring people, thrill seeking and corn mazes. She thought for a moment. Well you know cliff jumping, heli skiing, white water rafting, all those things, No, I am kidding. I enjoy reading, sitting at home being lazy, working out at the gym, and watching movies. I am a normal person I swear. She said with a small laugh and a smile. When they reached the end it turned out that he had been right after all when he made the prediction for the word that they were to unscramble and find to either be something like Halloween or Harvest. Ooh you are good. Theres no denying that. Brow was raised slightly as a sly smile was shot in his direction as they approached the front of the stand to claim their prize and be told that they had gotten it right. It turned out to be a candy apple. Which he gave to her. Thank you. She uttered gently taking the tasty treat. It had been a long time since she had had a candy apple and it was devoured, she did not want to bring the sticky mess into the car so she paused to finish it. Realizing that she should go and wash her hands though she then moved off into the direction of a public washroom on the farm. I'll be right back. She assured him before jogging off in the direction of the washroom and washing the candy from her hands before stepping back out and to fall into step beside him when they walked to his car. I had a great time, thank you for taking me here. She told him as she stepped into the car and fastened the seatbelt to be driven back to her house. When they reached the house she leaned over the center console in a brave move, lips planted a friendly kiss on his cheek. Hope to see you again. She stated before her cheeks were given the time to turn red as she stepped out of the car and onto the curb. She wondered instantly if it had been the right move, though a lot of girls would do it to even just their friends so she knew that it was not over the top as the door was then pulled open when she reached the front door. It was locked again when she entered the house, she changed into pajama bottoms and a t-shirt before headed downstairs again to settle on the couch, it was not late enough for her to go to bed so she watched some reality show while her mind wandered. She wondered what he thought of the night and whether there would be a second date, they really did seem to hit it off well.

He found himself to be enjoying her company the more he got to know her. Her personality was quite charming from his point of view. He was never unsatisfied with the answers to his questions regardless of what was being asked; whether it was a serious question or a simple one. A soft bout of laughter echoed his chords at her various answers, amused by the response. Excellent, I'll keep those things in mind, just in case... He'd commented, teasing her gently. In his own piece of reality, the date seemed a bit short for his liking, but he figured it was best so the girl was not uncomfortable in anyway. He'd tried to plan it so it would be neither too long, nor too short. He did not want to make her suffer if she was just being nice or rush through things if she was having a good time. From what he saw, he considered it to have been a enjoyable time for her as well. The teasing comment she made in reply to his own response on his guess caused him to give her a glare for a moment, not at all serious. It was refreshing to just let go sometimes and be like a kid again, not a care in the world besides having a good time. My pleasure. He stated on the walk to the car, trying to remember the last time he'd had fun in such a sense. As the car was pulled to a stop in front of her house he was surprised that she leaned over and kissed him on the cheek. His smile was casual, turning back to her as she stepped from the car, stating something about hoping to see him soon. The same for me. Once she stepped from the car, he noticed the shade of her face had changed quite quickly for just having to do with the weather. She had a shy side, but for the most part it was not part of her character around him. She must have been embarrassed from the gesture and it sent him thinking. It could have simply been a friendly gesture, though it could have been interpreted in other ways as well. For now, it just caused him to chuckle lightly as he pulled from her driveway once seeing that she had disappeared into the house. Once he was home, he briefly considered the idea of shifting and taking a run but quickly deemed it too dangerous. The possibility that they were still searching for the leopard was still high. It was not a necessity, just a consideration. There was still a bit of time before he would retire to his bed for the evening and so he flipped through the t.v. channels somewhat before giving up. A few extra hours of sleep would not hurt. His sleep was restless though, strange flashbacks from his time in captivity at the zoo appearing in his so called dreams. Once he awoke, he took a relaxing shower and came to the decision that he would make a small trip to the zoo in which he had been confined only days earlier. He was curious, and he knew there was a chance that he could run into Ardeil again which just added to the reason for his decision.A towel was wrapped around his waste as he grabbed out one of his darker coloured Calvin Klein polo shirts and a pair of nice looking jeans. The man changed and ran a comb through his hair until it was positioned in its usual fashion. The keys were grabbed off the counter, the clock revealing that the time was thirty minutes passed eleven. The car was pulled out of the drive and into the parking lot of the zoo within a period of several minutes. He paid the admission at the gate and strode through the zoo, glancing at some of the exotic animals before finding the big cat area. Gaze flickered over the different confinements which varied upon the species and normal habitat of the cats. He glanced at the leopard area, finding that it looked larger than it had appeared from the inside, but it was probably just a claustrophobic type effect or the like. The beasts were all lounging around like a house cat would, seeming content and at home with their lifestyles. Another reason it had been easy to single him out besides his thoughts. The male shook his head, striding boldly towards the aquarium part of the park, very hesitant as the structure became surrounded by water on both sides. A small smirk crossed over his features as he noticed someone familiar who was standing with her back to him. Perfect time for revenge. Steps were nearly silent, having inherited this part even without being shifted. Hands gripped her shoulders, leaning around and murmuring close to her ear. Ciao il mio salvatore. [Hello my savior.]He turned so that he was in front of her, wiggling his eyebrows with the crooked grin across his features. Is there a way I can steal you for a few hours? Lunch? He also had another idea planned if she could leave, if not, things could always be rescheduled. He ignored the fact that he was technically surrounded by water on both sides, but he imagined the walls busting for some strange reason and him drowning; for good this time. Mahogany pools focused on her face, not willing to give away his fear.
