She was well aware that she looked nothing like she did on a regular occurrence at school. She tended to dress rather conservatively and in neutral colors to not draw unneeded attention to fiery tinted locks. Tonight was an exception though, loose curls that twirled in elegant loops accented tender features and half was drawn up in an up do which had been accomplished by a hair dresser earlier in the day since her mother had surprised her with the appointment the moment that she had gotten home from school probably a bribe to act more like a girl since that was an unlikely thing for her daughter. Strands were held up by small bobby pins with a pearl accent in them. The dress dipped low into a ‘v’ collar bone accented by a necklace that her mother had lent her and it hung idle there. The dress was a loop around her neck and sleeveless showing off the tanned and toned arms of the girl. For a red head she had a dark complexion that others of her type would be jealous over. She did not need to be any taller plus it would be hard to dance in high heels so instead she had chosen a flattering pair of white flats that were comfortable enough to spend the night in. Dress ended just below her knees and fluttered around her with every stride, clinging close to her abdomen. She felt a little out of place in what she was wearing, the makeup that adorned her face was light and natural though mascara caused emerald optics to look stunning in contrast to complexion and the shade of her hair. She knew that she was going to stick out like a sore thumb and somehow tonight it did not matter to her. She was oddly relaxed as they drove there, as usual the girls were upset that she had not allowed one of the guys that was with them to drive the car since it was improper for a lady to drive though there was no way that anyone but her was getting behind the wheel of something that was so important to her. They would not understand that. They managed to find one of the front parking spots since they were on time rather than a little late and she stepped out from the car. Feet touching down on the pavement of the school and small flutters of nervousness danced in the bottom of her stomach. Already she was able to hear the beat of the music from inside the doors of the gym, she moved with the group easily, they had not come with Tia, but quickly they met up with them, as Rylen arrived a small smile was shot in his direction before then stepping into the darkness of the gymnasium that had been transformed into a cheap looking ballroom. She looked classy in comparison to some of the other girls that were showing way too much cleavage and leaving nothing to the imagination of their partners. She felt a little sick to her stomach, no wonder a lot of girls were seen as sluts with the way that they provoked the hormones that ran rampid in the male species at this age. She did not linger talking in the group or awkwardly in the corner like a lot of people without dates, a guy from the lacrosse team immediately moved in her direction pausing to speak a couple words in her ear before then gently taking her hand and leading her in the direction of the dance floor. She was rather docile tonight as arms were placed respectively around the mans neck leaving a little but not too much space in between them as movements were made to the beat, she had been dragged to enough of these dances to be sufficient and rather graceful. When the dance ended she broke away from him and carried on dancing with a few others before then deciding that she needed a break, at the same time it seemed as though Rylen was cut off from his partner and she made her way to the vending machine, a sneaky place to keep the change had been in the bottom of her shoe as she balanced on one leg and emptied it into her hand before then pressing the button for a bottle of water to pop out of the machine. The water was cool in comparison to the gym that was already getting a little stuffy from the close contact of all the bodies around. When she turned around she met the steel gray eyes of the boy she had come to know a little more in the past couple days and a small smile was offered in return as he looked as though he was going to be civil for the night. Uttering a small greeting as he got close. He then asked if he would get in trouble if he asked her where her date was for the night. Uh, well he’s imaginary, his name is Bob, and he is actually quite a fantastic dancer. She said with a good natured chuckle. I don’t have one. Boys tend to get the wrong impression if I agree to go to a dance with them. Brow was raised slightly. She finished the water in the bottle before then throwing it in the recycling bin and moving back to where they had been standing together. Hmm it seems like your date has gotten distracted. It’s ok I am a better dancer. She stated boldly with a smile. Hand reached out to grasp his forearm and lead him in the direction of the dance floor. Dance? Though it was not as though she gave him much of a choice as arms were then rested on his shoulders an body moved instantly and accurately to the beat of the song that was playing. The close proximity was too much though, her head started throbbing, she did not take into account for this. It felt so strange to her, too much was going on and she felt as though something was being portrayed to him, something that should be personal and her own. Why was she feeling so vulnerable all of a sudden, what was going on? Could he read her mind since he was immortal as well. She could not deny the electric buzz between the two of them, meeting steel eyes emerald optics lock with his. Every minute of contact between them was bliss though she was not going to admit that, this was the guy that had been so annoying, this was a strange reaction. I am really sorry. I need some air. She told him, breaking off from the dance to then drop her arms and moved in the direction of outside in desperate need to clear her head.

Despite being obviously traded up for someone else, he was not too heartbroken as the girl agreed eccentrically to dance with someone else and the two did not look as though they wanted any interruptions so it gave Rylen the perfect time to get out of there. He was quite relieved to catch sight of Eunice dancing intently with some other nerdy type which was fitting and that way it was much easier for him to sneak past. The idea of sticking around the dance had really not sounded utterly appealing to the male but once he caught sight of Larae in the hallway, he paused in an effort to speak to her. Even he could not stop the amused expression from coming across his face as she had hidden some spare money quite expertly and removed it without losing her balance. Impressive. He stated with a small chuckle, figuring the comment was more serious than sarcastic. He was going to attempt to play nice for once instead of opposing her through his speech. Brow arched slowly as she said something about having an imaginary dance partner and he threw up his hands in mock defeat. Aw so it sounds like Bob's got me defeated in a dance off without giving me a fair chance. I see how it is. Small eye role accompanied her next words and he gave her a rather "duh" look. And what wrong idea would that be? Mischievous gleam was apparent in his eyes since he could not help himself. From now on, he was going to be serious for the night now. Quiet chuckle rang from the male as she informed him that his date was distracted and she was a better dancer. Questioning look covered his facade only to be led towards the dance floor. He barely managed to nod after she asked him to dance and already had her arms resting upon his shoulders. Hands rested ever so slightly above her hips, still quite unsure of this spontaneous idea. It seemed out of character for them however he was not planning on arguing with it. At first, the throbbing was easy to ignore before it started to gain pulse and then caused him to be unsteady. Honestly, why couldn't he enjoy the one moment when they were actually getting along. Without him being able to control it, he lost all focus and hundreds of voices seemed to be buzzing through his head along with the throbbing head ache. Jaw flexed somewhat as he tried to regain his own composure but he knew it was a useless fight. Meeting her gaze, he hesitated as it sounded as though she was murmuring something to him yet her lips went without moving. How had he gotten to her thoughts when before they seemed impenetrable, not that the idea was interesting to him. It was just so foreign to him. Nothing near this had ever happened to him. Right now he was unable to make sense of much until she stepped away from his grip. Delayed nod was his response yet she was already nearly out the door by the time he looked after her. There had to be a way to get rid of something like this. The only reaction he had like so had involved demons and such hellbent creatures that it made no sense to him that a high school girl should drive such reactions. And clearly it was not hormones because that seemed highly illogical. Long strides carried him outside to near where she was standing with narrowed eyes. He quickly restrained himself from freaking out on the girl and leaned against the wall before slowing sinking to a sitting position. I don't understand this, as I'm sure you don't.... Not long after the words escaped his mouth did he start spacing out and cringed instantaneously. Once more the images from the previous day returned but the clarity had increased. Of course he could tell of the evil creatures that were there but now he was able to make out their victim's face. Eyes went wide as he stared at the girl for several moments and shook his head. This still did not make much sense to him but he was not going to deny what the truth value could be behind it all. The lump in his throat was swallowed hesitantly as he shook his head and tried to make sense of it all. But why would they....? He stated out loud, not meaning to. None of this made sense at all, no matter how he tried to come of it. They either wanted something of her or were trying to get to him somehow which still was not sensible. His allegiances did not lie either way and he was not going to change that. However he was not going to let those grimy little things live if they set foot near him or anyone he knew.

She could not have helped but notice that the boy looked a little out of place at the dance, it was not that he was not dressed right because he was and it was not the way that she had pictured him turning up here but it was a nice surprise that he would actually not just think of himself for once and he would make the girl happy by agreeing to go with her and not rejecting her before he knew anything about her, even if she proved to be a jackass now since she was over there dancing with someone else and looking as it was going to stay that was for the rest of the night. She actually was starting to feel bad for him, though at least he would be free from her company since she knew the girl well enough to know that the blonde bimbo was just that, a bimbo and would wear thin on anyone%u2019s nerves after a prolonged exposure. There were a lot of people packed into the gym that appeared to be too small for this population, as she moved in the direction of the vending machine she was able to feel the mans eyes on her though she did not take too much time to acknowledge it until he was right behind her and she jumped a little at the closeness when she turned back to him, she expected some sort of a sarcastic comment though she was met with a truly genuine statement when he told her that it was impressive, well it seemed like the only logical solution since there was no need for her to bring her wallet into the gym and she did not want to have to return to her car when she needed to grab something, she knew only of one more place that she would have been able to store it and that was in her bra and she knew that her standing in plain view from the rest of the people at the dance to then reach down her shirt to retrieve the money might cause a few hysterics. She even surprised herself with the words that came next about her imaginary dance partner, why she was joking around with him she did not understand though it seemed to come naturally and for once since they had met the conversation was effortless between them and was not strained and hateful. He even seemed to be in the mood to do the same when he chuckled at her statement and threw his hands into the air admitting that he was defeated by the %u2018partner.%u2019 When he stated that he did not have a fair chance to demonstrate his skills she knew from there that he would be her next dance partner and if you would have told her that the day before yesterday she might have been horrified but right now with what passed between the two of them she decided that might not be the worst thing in the world. When she then told him the reason that she did not have a date he seemed to understand and he gained a cheeky expression. It was then that they walked to the dance floor and everything seemed to be going so well until the throbbing in her head proved to be unbearable and the feeling of her self-security system being breached was present. It was as if he was able to see right into the things that she kept from everyone else. She wished that she did not have to admit that something was wrong she would have rather waited it out in the agony until he was the one that was forced to step away to make less of a scene out of it make it seem as though she was not the one that was having the problem and lower the suspicion though this seemed to raise it. She was getting dangerously close to revealing herself and she did not like the thoughts of that since it was a secret she knew that she knew that she was going to have to keep to the grave. When she walked away and told him that she needed some air it was not the end of this she had just gotten to outside the door when she turned to realize that he had been following her out into the cool of the night. The darkness engulfed her and the fresh and crisp air seemed to have a healing affect on her head and slowly the mist that seemed to be transmitted from the male started to clear and she was able to think straight. This reaction between the two of them made her horribly curious as to what he was, she had looked up the headaches on the internet and there was not too much information on there and it told her nothing but it only happened between two very powerful creatures that possessed a very strong very raw power. She did not know enough about her %u2018condition%u2019 to know how strong she would be. Though she knew that with this she was going to have to find someone that knew something more about it because she needed to make sure that when the time came and the powers were starting to get more overwhelming she would be able to control it she wanted to make sure that she would not be like the witches that are portrayed in the movies that end up burning things down since they are not able to control themselves. What is there to understand besides the fact that I must be ill because whenever I am around you I get a killer migraine? She uttered as she then leaned back against the brick of the building. When he then spoke again and did not make much sense she rose a brow. What? What%u2019s wrong?

He had honestly surprised himself by accepting the offer to the dance and actually going through with coming. Never would he have seen himself doing something such as this, it was just out of character. The fact that his date had found new entertainment really did not bother him but he was not planning on sticking around really because he had no one to go to. He probably could have found another girl to dance with quite easily but really there was no use. Finding Larae in the hallway was a pleasant surprise but he did not go to avoid her or make rash comments, and simply tried to be on cordial terms for just this once. Even at his teasing comment about a challenge to her dance partner he did not even consider that she would ask him to dance so it quickly came as a shock when she started leading him back into the gym. At first he had been utterly confused as to why she would step away but then realized she was probably experiencing the same head ache as he. Hands dropped from her sides as he stared after her with a dumbfounded expression before then walking after her yet leaving space in between them. The space between them lessened his own head ache and he contemplated the idea of leaving her be so they could both find peace with such inconveniences. Still he was not pleased with the idea of being in the dark about such a subject and wanted to find answers as to why it was occurring and perhaps the remedy to stop it if possible. He was personally sick and tired of dealing with it but there was always the option of avoiding her completely which would consist of him dropping from the school. He could wait this out and hope things would improve possibly until his patience gave way. As much as he was trying to gain control and organize his thoughts, he was unable to do so until a few moments after stepping outside her. He kept his distance from the girl, mainly just to see that it would subside his headache a bit more. Once he had a clear head, it all quickly changed into something that sent him into a cloud of confusion. No sense could be made of the images involving the girl and the demons. He was entirely confused as to why they would turn her into a target since they generally left immortals that were not angels alone and Larae definitely did not come off to him as an angel. There would have been a different sort of connection there, rather than the opposing one they both appeared to experienced. He went on pondering his thoughts aloud in mumbled tones but she still of course noticed them. Irises rolled as she questioned the fact of getting a migraine whenever she was around him. Honestly, does that even seem normal? How many people give you head aches by simply standing within a ten foot radius of you? Obviously it's not that simple unless you are a hell of a lot more naive than I thought you to be. He said with a small snort before mumbling another question to himself which she of course also heard. The male hesitated because he was already spilling too much information. Steps were taken forward with a small grimace as the pounding started once again. He carefully reached for her right wrist and scanned it over to find nothing as he had expected and dropped the hold. I have to go. See you tomorrow. Monotoned lyrics stated as he stepped away with a frustrated expression before walking away to the jeep.

So they were actually able to act civilized to one another it seemed. No sarcastic comments that were meant to stun the male found their way to her lips besides the vague and indirect comment about Bob being her imaginary dance partner and even that was meant for nothing more then a laugh which it merited. She surprised herself when she then asked him if he wanted to dance with her and he agreed so they headed off in the direction of the dance floor, dancing together was something much more intimate then she would want with this boy and yet she did not mind it when they were close except the pounding off her head. She wondered what was going on and why this was happening and yet she had to just settle with it being nothing more then a strange coincidence since it was not as though she had anyone to ask about it anyways. She knew that within the next little while she was going to have to do some real finding out about her race to know what was going to become of her after her teenage years which she guessed would be the transformation time. When she broke apart from the male after the head ache got too much she uttered that she needed some air and he followed her as she darted through the crowd to the outside of the building. From there on she told him that she always seemed to get a head ache when around him and he ruined the balance of her being decent to him by calling her naive and spitting words in her direction that caused the walls that had protected her before to be resurrected. A glare narrowed emerald coloured eyes as her gaze then met his. You know I was right about you all along, you are trouble and I should have never given you the benefit of the doubt and been nice. She uttered angrily before he then stated that he needed to go and he would see her tomorrow. She did not even reply before moving off in the direction of another bench, she did not want to ruin the night for the rest of her friends so she knew that she would be staying right until the end of this stupid dance as she settled on the wood and leaned back, soon enough though her head ache was gone and she was able to walk back into the gym where she was not even missed since they were too wrapped up in the boyfriends and the dates that they had brought to even notice her which was a good thing since she did not feel like answering questions now, especially ones that involved Rylen, she was glad that no one seemed to have noticed her dancing with the boy that was quickly gaining reputation of her arch enemy. She found herself dancing with yet another member of the football team and paying shutting the dance down and she felt a sigh of relief leave her lips when they then gathered with her friends and headed towards the car. She knew that her mother was working for the evening so she would have the time to look through all the stuff of her fathers that had been locked up in the closet of her mothers bedroom, last year she had managed to find the hiding spot for the key though but at the time it did not seem like she was going to be need it besides being curious now she was on a mission. She had three hours, though dropping all the people that came with her off would take at least an hour so she needed to hurry. When they were all dropped off she then locked the car up in the garage before then jogging up the stairs to their apartment on the top floor where the door was unlocked and then locked back up again, she placed a chair in front of it so there would be a large crash when her mother came in to ensure that she would be able to lock everything back up in time before she changed into pajama pants and a loose t-shirt. The key was hiding in the bottom corner of a loose painting was then found and she ventured into her mothers room careful not to disturb anything. She kept the door open to make sure that she would be able to see out into the kitchen where the door would open and unlocked the lock on the closet, there must be something to hide since it was insane that there was a locked closet in her room. The moment that she opened it she regretted it being plummeted by the emotions that she had felt when her father had left them and she blanked it out before searching through boxes of clothes and other belongings. She knew that she hit the jackpot when she pulled out a box that seemed to be filled with several journals and she sat on the end of her mothers bed reading them they started at the time that he was 15 chronically the changes that he noticed, he claimed that all his senses were heightened which had happened to her but to the extreme, before she was able to control it she was so sensitive to the light that her eyes would water and so sensitive to loud noises that she lived with a constant head ache. Within 6 months she was able to control it and alter it to her needs, he never spoke of being able to do that in his journals always complaining that it was so hard for him. Interesting. She did not know what this would mean. She found what she had been looking for near the end of the first page, a name of a person that was a part of an underground protection for immortals or at least from his writing that was what she understood it to be. She wrote the name down before realizing she was testing her luck and piling everything in the same manner it had been and locked the door just as she heard the keys rattle in the lock, to avoid suspicion she sprinted to the door but managed to slip on the lineoleum and she had been intending to move the chair but instead she clattered right into it and smashed against the wall. When the door opened her mother was staring at her in wide eyes. What the hells going on in here? She asked and Larae was forced to think something up on the spot. Sorry I was just changing a light bulb and it scared me when you came in the door. Her mom did not look convinced. You were changing a light bulb at this time of the night? She nodded before uttering a good night and heading off to her bedroom where she stored the name and promised herself that she would look into it more tomorrow when she awoke with her alarm and then changed into clothes to be at school on time. Her mother was still asleep which was nice as she then grabbed something to eat for breakfast and jogged out the door to the car.

The flare in his temper quickly was matched by hers at his comments and soon they were even worse off then they had been initially. She was not worth his time at all now since she was being quite ignorant and there was no reason for him to risk revealing himself on a level that she would begin to comprehend. Why was he even trying? Even if they figured out the whole head ache deal, he was sure she would continue to do so afterward. Tolerance was clearly not going to work out for the two of them. He paused mid-step to turn and glare back at her as she spoke her views of him. You're right. Stay away from me and it'll make both of our lives a hell of a lot easier. Lyrics snapped quickly in return. The statement of her never being nice caused him to roll her eyes since it really did not matter to him. His opinion of the dance were definitely not high now, the only reason in which he was slightly glad would be because he quickly figured out how things between him and the girl would most likely play out for the remainder of the year. He returned home and completely ignored his room mate's mocking before loudly shutting the door to his room. Hands roughly massaged his temples as he sat upon the mattress a moment and glanced around his room. It was rather plain and bland as always so therefore there was a lack of entertainment for him at the current moment. Clothes were discarded to the floor and he changed into a comfortable pair of worn jeans and a t-shirt. He then ventured into the main room where Ulrich was watching t.v. and muttered something to him about going out. He grabbed the keys and helmet before disappearing once more into the night. Right now he was still quite aggitated and wanted to hit something or worse for that matter. So where did an immortal go during the midst of night with cooped up angst? A cemetery of course. The numerous names engraved through the stone were unknown to him as he walked above the dead corpses that were rotting six feet under. Faint whispers came to the male's ears as eye sight gazed about to find dark figures wandering about the graveyard as well. The smell of fresh spray paint was in the air and he was quick to figure them being vandals which was pointless in such a depressing place to him. Soon their whispers were about someone else and the male was quick to assume what their next tactics were. This would give him quite the oppurtunity for both entertainment and a way to direct his anger. Tauntings were started in his direction as frame was crouched near a particular head stone that had peaked his interest, a bit of a dark grin crossing his face as the others were creeping up behind his back. Once he had stood but was not facing them, a knife was pulled near his neck and he was very compliable with the act of playing along. Blade was brought closer and closer to his neck until it left a large nick in the skin and Rylen began to strike back. It did not take long for him to personally scare the crap out of them once he had possession of the knife, they ran the opposite direction. Hand ran along the small scratch along his neck which had a small amount of blood rushing through it and that was about the extent. With that he gathered himself and returned home, collapsing in the bed and sleeping past his alarms to arrive into second period late. Eyes did not make a single attempt to meet those of the girl's since he had easily moved on. After making an excuse as to why he was late, he sat on the edge of his seat as far away from Larae with a disgusted look. Uh Coach...Teacher...Mister Dude?... He mumbled until he got the theoretical elder's attention. Is there any possible way I can have a problem other than one that gives me a head ache twenty-four seven? Honestly, I don't think I'm going to have a brain left by the end of the year either- and there actually is something there-, courtesy of her perfume. He scrunched his nose at this and scooted the chair over a bit more with a loud screech. There were a couple of giggles coming from the back of the class as he had paused about his rant. Due to the fact that this is health, I need to stay healthy, which involves mental health and social health; neither of which does she affect in a positive way. So therefore, it would be in your best interest to move her as far away from me as possible. The teacher's face had turned red with anger as he looked to be about fuming while pointing out the door. Mr. Thomas, please see your way down to the vice principal's office, immediately. Eyes were rolled as he sat up to prepare his protest. I was voicing my opinion and making suggestions simply to keep myself healthy-in health class.... Glare was quickly once more centered at the girl. One more stern look caused him to stand up and walk out the hallway. If anything, that would turn out to be the highlight of his day since he was quite sure of the fact that he had petrified the girl.

She knew that she should not have lost it when she spoke to the boy and told him that she should have trusted her instincts and not been kind to him and just stayed her distance and she knew that this was the wrong choice since it was going to make the project that they were supposed to be doing together a living hell. She felt guilty and that would be part of the reason that she was going to engulf herself in the finding of information later in the evening when she returned home and it was true that the interesting things that she found did take over her mind enough to be able to forget about all that had happened and had allowed her to slip into sleep with a new and renewed feeling of hope that she might be able to find something out about her condition since she had been checking the journal and all that she had found about the person who was named was that he was someone to trust and someone that would help. If her father was willing to confide in him then she would do the same. Her morning turned out to be too busy for her to put too much thought into it and the second class of the day proved to be doomed from the very start. When Rylen walked in late and looked devilish she nearly cringed but averted her eyes away from him. She also did not understand how he terrified her and yet at the same time she felt so drawn to him, she knew that he was trouble and bad news and yet she sought him out in a crowd and looked forward to the class that they had together even though he had done nothing but make her life more difficult with the headaches and the sarcastic comments that were meant to inflict mental pain and fatigue on the girl. He was going to be the demise of her; she already had come to terms with that. The disgusted look that was plastered on the boys face was enough to cause the anger to rise to her throat once more and threaten to spill hot words in his direction though she stopped herself that would do her no good right now and he was speaking anyways. Disrespectfully trying to get the teachers attention by calling him different things that did not seem to apply. The teacher then looked to him and seemed to be glaring daggers and an amused expression crossed her face to settle onto rose kissers as highly arched brow was raised. She could not wait to hear what he was going to say to the rest of the class right now knowing that the moment that he had spoke in that manner that he was going to get kicked out of the class anyways. Elbows were rested on the desk as the words that followed struck her. He spoke of her being the problem in their partnership, and now she did not care if she had to do the project completely alone she would not be doing it with him that was for sure. Head was shook as he the continued something about her perfume, of which she was not overly wearing. Eyes were rolled in their sockets as other people in the room chuckled at the spectacle that he was making in front of all the people of the class. As if it was not enough he then continued, stating that since they were in health class that it was important that he stayed healthy. Her anger now seemed to have hit a broiling point and it was all she could do not to just turn herself slightly and clock him in the side of the head though he was already being sent down to the principals office, she looked forward to the bell ringing, he better hope that he parked his motorcycle where he could get to it before her. Then the last time that he turned to her and directed a glare in her direction she snapped. Betraying her self control fist clenched and was thrown the direction where it would connect with enough force to knock him on his ass out of his chair to his cheek. There was a collaborative gasp that erupted around the classroom followed by whistles that were directed in her direction. The teacher looked as though he was a volcano and ready to explode now and turned his attention onto her knowing her offence was much more serious since she had actually caused bodily harm to another student. He pointed to her now. Both of you, principals office.. Now. She stood from her seat walking in the direction of the office and not waiting for him to catch up, there was no way that she was going to walk with him there. Steps were light and agile; her knuckles were starting to throb now. She reached the principals office and the teacher had already made a call indicating why the two of them were coming in and she was accepted into the office first before he arrived. She was lectured how she should have never responded that way and how it was a horrible show of her temper but they did understand that she had been provoked and that he was going to get the brunt of the punishment but she was told to wait in the waiting room while he was then sent in to be talked to. When he was finished they were taken in for a group session. So it has come to my attention that you two do not like each other very much. Now I am not about to say that you have to like each other but you can not be acting in the juvenile manner in which you two have this morning. I could easily suspend you both though that would not solve the problem since it would be just the same when you returned so I have come up with a new punishment. You two have to sort yourselves out, you will be attending detention tomorrow after school, together. She cringed at the thought of that when he then dismissed them and she walked out of the room to the direction of the cafeteria, pausing only when he seemed to catch up to her she turned to him with a glare. You know I really dont understand what I have done to make you hate me so much. Then continued on her way since it was lunch time and she wanted to be as far away from him as possible. As she reached the door she was bombarded by her friends, the girls looked horrified as they had already heard what had happened. He provoked me, he deserved it. None of them seemed to agree and that was how she spent the entire day knowing that the incident was being talked about with the hushed whispers and knowing glances and a lot of the guys in the school seemed to notice her even more then usual today coming up and the ones from class telling her that her perfume was perfect and attempting to console her though this got on her nerves even more so then before. The end of the day did not seem to come quick enough and she hoped and prayed that he had not touched her car while she was not watching.

He had turned to be an expert at reading her body language within the last few days or so he believed. He was much too pleased with him when her attitude made a drastic change at is interest. Besides the single glance that barely even registered her presence, eyes never even bothered to look in her direction. He was not going to waste his energy by casting her nasty looks all throughout the one hour in which they both had the same class. He was beyond that consideration now.Right now, he was extremely careless as to what he was doing and where it would get him. He simply was not going to sit there and ignore the girl completely and he was in the mood to cause trouble even if it ended in punishment for himself. It currently did not matter to him that he pissed off the teacher already by calling him the incorrect name prior to his sarcastic rant aimed at the girl. He was in a rather rebellious mood that would not be limited simply by the teacher trying to tell him to stop; he was finishing the speech he had going on regardless. He could nearly feel the anger radiating from Larae after his mocking speech directed at her. The teacher was still glaring at him like no other and looked about ready to burst as he started speaking, only for Rylen to notice his body being shoved from the chair in which he had not been very balanced upon. After hitting the ground, he hastily got back up and shot a very distasteful stare at the girl. That was going to be something that he would be sure to make her regret, she would rue such an act.Needless to say, this caused more of an uproar from the class and the teacher looked to be literally fuming as they were both directed out the door forcefully.Eyes narrowed into slits bore into the girl's back as she looked quite pleased with herself as she walk ahead of him. He'd underestimated her and now it was going to turn into something much more than it had between the two of them. Pace was lazy and slow as he walked to the office, slumping against the chair as told to while she was already in speaking to the principal; probably kissing his ass and acting as though nothing had happened, or so he figured. Expression was blank as he started considering his options for revenge though he was soon brought into the office as well to chat with the principal. There was a definite warning from the principal on acts other than this little display and there was also a hushed comment about not having a problem with expulsion if things elevated.Already he was not at all liked by the staff of this school and this was really his first offense. Clearly they had not even had a real problem child before. The disciplinary speech went over the male's head until the fact came and the girl was ushered in as well. Once again he made no attempt to catch her gaze and kept eyes focused upon the principal as he went over their punishment. The statement involving them disliking each other was perceived as such an understatement to Rylen that he had to refrain from making a comment on the matter.Another warning was giving about suspension but the young male knew that would not be their chosen consequence. It ended on the light note of detention the following day, the worst part of it having to be together. That was the worse punishment anyone could have came up with seeing as whenever he was around her, he wanted to rip his eyes out now. Aching started in his head since she was sitting beside him but as they were excused he quickly rushed out the door and began striding down the hall with uttermost confidence. The glaring emeralds were directed at him which only caused a hard stare in her direction. Have you ever considered that the answer to that may be breathing? He snapped in returned before sharply turning in the other direction to walk out the doors for lunch. Part of him thirsted for revenge due to her little additional act in the classroom. Yet he was not quite sure how to come of it. Her car was of course the first thing that came to mind but he was not entirely sure how to go about that or what exactly he wanted to do. However he would accomplish something in return since this was no longer just a game to him. Sprint carried him across the street to the motorcycle and then went on a run to the garage to ask a few questions from one of the mechanics who watched him with amusement. After finding out some information that could be useful, he returned to school to find that it was the midst of third period so little miss goody two shoes would be in class and therefore no where near the mustang. Once again, he parked his motorcycle elsewhere, but this time hid it around the back of a building. Piece of wire, courtesy of the mechanic shop, was eased into the keyhole and he fiddled with it for several minutes until he was able to unlock the door. Considering his options, he stopped at that and relocked the door once he'd decided to save that idea for later, small note was rigged between the door. This is only the beginning... He crouched down around the car and took off the caps of each of the tires in order for them to deflate in time when she would return. Now he did not even want to spend the rest of day at school but when back in to sign himself out due to illness, there was a reason why he was registered as eighteen with the high school. With his own pleasure, he returned to the mechanic shop to begin working early on the Camaro for the day.

When had the change between the two of them occurred that made then not only dislike each other but mutinous towards one another. It was on, she would not give in to the war that he had started, for the time that they would be in detention she would pretend as though it did not matter to her and that they had made up but in all truth she was revolted by the man. As they were read their punishment the expression did not change on her face and remained void of emotions. She did not care about what happened, her mother would not even have the time to know that she had been suspended if that was what ended up being the ruling, it would give her some extra time to bank some overtime hours at her work and possibly save enough for her first semester of college that was slowly creeping up on her. She was now in a foul mood when it was announced that was not their fate and they would be forced to then have detention together the next day. She squirmed willing herself to stay silent before then standing with a nod and heading out of the room and asking him why he truly hated her and had to bite back the sting of the words that came from him. She ignored it not feeding into the hostility of the boy. She then continued on the rest of her day as nothing had happened until she arrived at her car and noticed that her tires were missing a lot of the air that she knew was essential to move the vehicle, the note that was stuck in the door was read and she determined that it was going to be a long walk back home since the people that could help her were either not answering their cell phones a long muttering of curse words left her lips as she then locked the cars doors and started off with her backpack slung over her shoulders hating that she had to leave the car there in order to then walk to the shop in which she knew the owners to get some help. From the moment that she left the parking lot she felt the strange feeling of being watched and felt her skin crawl, though the place where she walked was fairly busy so it appeared that she did not have anything to worry about. That only put her mind at ease for a little while when the feeling did not seem to be going away. She found every nerve to be standing on end as well as the hair on the back of her neck indicating that danger and something less then ideal would be waiting for her right around the corner and when she passed an alleyway and spotted movement she knew that she was doomed, she should have gone a different way or called a taxi, a hand pressed over her mouth and eased her back into the alleyway before she even realized what was happening. She wrestled her hands out of the grip but the man who was in a black ski mask was much too strong, he overpowered her, she aimed a kick to the only place where she could reach his shins and she did manage to free herself for a moment scrambling towards the end of the alley that had a large dumpster and a fence she swore that she could climb and sprinted that direction with the guy close on her heels. She had just about heaved herself over the fence when her ankle got caught on the top and she landed on her right arm yelping in pain, it was now that she wished she would have looked into the witch then long enough what point was there in having super powers if you did not have a clue how to use them, she was frozen to her spot on the ground writhing in pain from her arm that she dared not look at. Fetal position seemed to be the only option now as the guy grabbed her by the collar of her shirt and dragged her upwards to her feet which felt bruised. Anger and fear radiated through her entire body and caused her to feel excessively warm, it felt as though she was on fire but the pain that usually accompanied it was nonexistent. She was in a lull as she spotted the fear in the man’s eyes what she could see through the mask. Fire radiated wildly from her palms and he soon was engulfed in flames he was busy rolling on the ground and trying to escape the flames and she took this time to escape knowing she could not call the police since she was unaware of how she would be able to explain the man that was on fire. The next nearest building was a mechanic shop that she knew some of the people that worked there, she pulled the door open arm held in front of her, sure that bruises were forming around her neck where the captor had held her up and ankle that had been caught on the fence was bleeding. She felt like a train wreck. One of the men that she knew looked shocked and instantly rushed to her. Rae, what the hell happened to you? Let’s get you to a doctor. She murmured a thank you. My car though. Someone flattened its tires at school. Eyes were rolled at her as she seemed to protest the car more than anything as she was helped into a car of the employees and driven to the hospital where her arm was set. Their boss brought back the car to the shop and placed it beside the Camaro of the boys. She waited in the waiting room of the hospital and the guy asked her what had happened. I was jumped in one of the back alley ways but then something seemed to spook him and he ran. He nodded then turned back to her. You should go to the police.[/b] He advised and she shook her head. And what would they be able to do? When finally she got in her mother was advised and on her way when they had just finished casting her arm and cleaning the wound on her ankle and she was allowed to go home. Her mother made dinner for once and delivered it to her room, she was weary from the use of her magic but not about to admit that, her mother told her that she could stay home the next day but her head was shook. I have tests coming up. I will be fine. She assured her but in reality she needed to set things right. When she arrived the first period passed easily then at the end she wrote a note to the boy she knew would not talk to her. When she spotted him in the hallway it was passed to him. Can we call a truce? This has gone way too far. I should not have punched you. She then stepped into the class taking her newly assigned seat across the entire class from him. Many people asked what happened to her arm and she lied telling them that she fell off her trampoline at home and none knew her well enough to call her bluff.

Always, it had been quite easy for the male to get rather irritated and once he got angry it took a lot for him to calm down. So therefore by the end of the meeting with the principal he had still not fully calmed down from what had happened prior. Retort was snapped in her direction with stern tones and it was later he realized exactly how harsh that had been for him, especially since it was to a teenage girl who were known to be especially fragile. What if she had some sort of mental condition that would cause her to strike out on her emotions? Then, he would feel absolutely terrible but this comment got no reaction out of her which neither fed or depleted his frustration. Letting the air out of her tires really did not satisfy him, but he refused to do the other things that would have been a lot more harmful to the car. He wouldn't damage the car or did he really intend on doing anything that would physically hurt her in the end. With an unpleased sigh, he left the note before returning to the motorcycle and excusing himself for the rest of the day. Currently, he was not in the mood to deal with any of the kids at school, especially after the previous display. Agitation caused the male to work harder with the car and a few of the workers mumbled comments in his direction which he simply shrugged off. They could tell he was not in the best moods so knew better than to bother him. Later, he took a break and was requested to go get the elder men lunch which he did not have a problem with since they all paid. Within the short trip to the burger place and back, there was a new car in the shop positioned next to his Camaro. It was not new to him, but new to the shop. His whole body paused a moment after he'd stepped off the motorcycle and hesitantly he strode forward to where a small group had gathered. Apparently, they were discussing the latest gossip for the garage and he was entirely silent and expressionless as they went over the details of the story. The muscles in his jaw tightened instinctively as he heard news of the girl getting hurt. One of the guys noticed this and eyed him suspiciously. Rylen, do you know anything about this? The answer was a rough shake of his head and he returned to working with cloudy thoughts. This was his fault, he just never expected the girl to get hurt from it. He had been so sure that she would find a ride from a friend, not just simply walk. And in this town, what were the odds of getting jumped while walking home? All these thoughts were running through his mind while he fixed a few things on the car but was called out by the boss. Rylen, did this incident have anything to do with you? You know the girl? You look pretty rough, why don't you leave early? A small nod was all he responded with to every question before returning to the Ducati and taking the quick route home. Now he was angry with himself for being so stupid and arrogant over her simply punching him. It had not inflicted that much pain and was more of an embarrassment than anything. And quite frankly, he'd egged her on in the end. Around the girl, he just could not figure himself out because he frustrated himself with who he was and such. He took to his bed far earlier than normal but his room mate was absent for the time being. Frame lay in the bed and stared at the ceiling for a long time in silence before finally drifting to a lazy sleep. His alarms woke him up yet this time he did not make any mumbling comments to himself as he prepared for school and arrived on time. He was completely ignorant to the comments throughout the halls as he walked and throughout the first period. In the hall, he hesitated and contemplated speaking as he crossed Larae's path but she had already placed a small note in his hand. Gaze caught site of the cast and he swallowed a lump in his throat before walking to the class as well. He was placed alone in the back of the class and as far from her as possible which would have been considered to be his wish the day before but now he had no means to speak with her. The note was read beneath the safety of the desk but it was impossible to catch her eye. As soon as the bell rang, he reached for her good hand for a moment just to get her attention. We need to talk. Privately. He mumbled quietly as the rest of the students had ran off to lunch and the teacher was watching him with quite the suspicious eye.

She had told her mother the truth of the incident though luckily in this part of the town it was not too rare for girls to be jumped on their way different places. She certainly was not going to mention that she had managed to use her powers in her fear and rage and catch the guy on fire. She did not want to answer any more questions so when her mother came in the next time she pressed her eyes closed and pretended to be sleeping and within the next little while she was no longer lying and she fell into a light sleep. She awoke in the morning feeling like she had been hit by a truck a way that even the best painkillers would not be able to mask. When she then finished eating her breakfast her mother announced that she was driving her to school which she realized was probably good since she did not have her car at the moment. She would have to go there after school after her detention to pick it up even though she had a feeling that she would not be allowed to drive for the next little while. Her mother might not be around much but she made sure that the girl was well cared for and she worried about her. After packing her lunch so she did not have to buy it from the cafeteria her and her mother headed down the stairs to where her car was kept in the underground garage. It seemed that every apartment was allowed two spots in the garage. She stepped into the passengers side of the car as her mother then headed in the direction of the school and dropped her off at the curb. She was not a person to tattle on someone and never had been so he was lucky that she did not choose to tell the principal that her tires had been deflated since she was sure that there would be someone that came forth to tell that they saw something, she was not going to start a war though to her it was over and there would be no farther moves on her side. She knew that a lot of it had been her fault so she was just glad that she had not been hurt worse since in some ways she had deserved it. Of course she was the talk of the school as all the people that knew her spotted her with the large cast adorning her right arm and the small limp of the tender area on her ankle. After she had finished her first class she found Rylen before he entered the next class to pass him the note, for a moment she met his gaze, emerald eyes were soft and showed that her words spoken on the paper were genuine. It was no longer a game to her. She sat at the front of the class paying little attention as she sat next to one of the nerdy girls. At least she would get good marks sitting here. Hand was placed on the desk as her mind wandered, she knew that Rylen had not meant for anything to happen to her, or so she thought but it was a situation that would not end well. At least she had been able to fix the problem he had made her earlier in the year this one would rely on her being able to get a ride from someone else and then also being able to get someone out to either repair or tow the car. When the bell finally rang she was just gathering her books and ready to step out of the classroom when someone caught her hand and she jumped a little, her mind had been elsewhere so she did not realize he was walking up to her. She cursed herself for letting her guard down a little and took her hand back gently. He mumbled that they needed to talk privately somewhere and she shook her head. I don’t feel like talking would be a good idea. Its fine. I should have stayed away when you told me to. She told him softly her own voice sounding slightly defeated to her. She debated telling him the reason that her car meant so much to her that it was the last project of her and her fathers before he disappeared but it was much too personal. She was determined to not allow him to see the sorrow that crossed her face now. All was out in the open now and somehow she did not feel much better. Steps were light as she then stopped at her locker to throw her books within the metal contraption before heading out towards the front door of the school she needed some fresh air. Until the last period she had forgotten that she had detention after school with him and stomach churned a little as she walked towards the gym where their detention would be taking place. They were given a job in the library re-ordering books and she quickly put herself to work, fumbling a little with the books with her one remaining good hand.

The feeling that was generated after being informed of what had happened to the girl was nothing like he had ever really experienced. He was guilty, which was not normal for the younger male. All previous ideas of the pranks he was going to pull were pushed away as he suddenly felt very ashamed of the whole deal. It really was his fault; he'd provoked her in the beginning and he was the one who changed their views towards each other when they were actually being decent to one another. The only thoughts revolving around his mind now were ways to back pedal while trying to fix things if possible. However, the whole situation would never be something Larae would forget most likely and could haunt her for the rest of her life. He still was uncertain of the extent of her injuries but knew he was powerless against it all. In the hallway, it was impossible not to catch the murmurings of her name as well as the stares directed towards him. Naturally there were rumors of him being the one who had done this; which in the long run it was his fault. She hesitated with a limp before passing the note and carrying on her way, meeting his gaze steadily before continuing. Mouth opened and closed as he could not think of what exactly to say, grey eyes were somber as they met her bright eyes for a brief amount of time. After she looked away, eyes followed her before traveling to the ground as he walked into the classroom and took his seat at the back. The note was read and slipped into his pocket and by the time he glanced up she was already sitting attentively at the front of the class. The teacher droned on and on and Rylen gave into the lecture by resting his head on his arms and letting his eyes glaze over slightly. As soon as the bell rang, he walked to where she was seated and carefully reached for her wrist to get her attention. Blank expression watched her as she jumped and he dropped the grip and took a small step back before requesting for them to talk. The words stung as they reached his years but he knew he deserved them regardless. Things would be better if she stayed away, it would keep her safer. Silent nod was his lone reply as he walked out of the class and then went to his locker. He did not want to deal with the people at school for lunch and then went for a quick run to the garage, seeing the girl's car still stationary and untouched. Needless to say, they did not touch cars unless they knew there was payment. If he was good with managing his time and skipped eating, he could finish the tires by himself. The tires needed air in them simply but were also quite run down so a new pair would not hurt. Ordering another set in would take weeks and he checked over both sizes before finding the Camaro's tires to be identical. That car had a long time before the tires would be necessary anyway. Quick discussion was made with his boss before adjusting the car on jacks and dismantling the initial tires and replacing the new ones. He was going to be late by the time he was finished but lunch detention the following day was not going to hurt him much. The tires were coming out of Rylen's paycheck as he had requested but he did not even grimace as he stated his idea to the boss who agreed with suspicion. He received the keys from the manager and carefully drove the mustang back to the school and parked it in the usual place. Now he would have to walk to the garage after school, but that had never been a problem for him. The car was locked and he held onto the keys since he would see the girl in detention. The teacher scolded him being late and issued the slip for lunch detention but the male simply acknowledged it without complaining. The rest of the day longed on until at last he reported to the gym without even attempting to look in her direction. Then he followed uncharacteristically obediently to the library where they were stationed to organize the books. Scanning over the covers with vague interest, he placed them on the shelves until he came across books with relevant titles. "It's my Fault...." was passed in her direction before finding several more books with titles explaining words he wanted to say but was not allowed to speak right now or nor did she want him to talk to her. "I want to Apologize for my Mistakes" was another he carefully slid in her direction and the last being something along the lines of "I Messed Up". Normally, those would have been the kind of books he would have laughed at but now he was trying to get a message to her if she paid any attention. Once he had finished his pile, he noticed she had several more and took them from her besides the ones he'd passed over, and replaced the books with her car keys. He then went back to sorting through them and was surprised to hear the librarian state they were dismissed. Only after he knew she had finished the remainder of her books did he get up and leave, walking out the door in silence. He felt so....bi-polar around her and could not comprehend it. Maybe things would be better if they ignored each other's presence completely, yet right now he was very determined to make things at least neutral again by fixing the car at least. Now, there was nothing more that he could do but he already felt much more relieved. Backpack was carried over one shoulder as he started walking outside towards the direction the garage would be once he got to it.

Things that were beyond peoples control happened and she understood that and she knew that if the male had known that she was going to get jumped and possibly seriously injured because of his actions that there was no way that he would have done it. He might be hard to get along with but he was no malicious in his actions, at least not with what she had seen in the time that she knew him. After all she had not been the nicest to him either. They were both to blame for it and after all she lucked out with no permanent damage being done. She should never have decided to walk though she had felt as though it would not be dangerous and she felt stuck since she did not have anyone else but a taxi to call and that would have been ridiculous. She did not live far enough away from the school for something like that and she remembered a time where she never would have had a second thought about walking home she would have done it in a heartbeat so what made that so different from now? What had changed in that time, she was not only the same person but could it have progressed to this stage within the last five years of her life since it had not been more than that. As for the boy, she knew that it would not be a good idea to talk to him anymore they proved to get themselves in trouble when the other was around so therefore she needed to steer clear and fly under the radar so that her name would no longer be known to the principal and she would be off the watch list of the school for bad behavior. When she passed him the note in the hallway he looked as though he wanted to say anything though his mouth was just closed again and she stepped towards the door of the classroom to start the class. With how far away she was from him she no longer got the head aches that usually accompanied his presence, well maybe it was to do with the painkillers that she was taking from her arm, maybe they were muting the feeling, though theses were the only thoughts that he was given the entire period since she was so intent on fixing this and making the teacher realize that she was not here to cause trouble and she was intent on getting a good mark. She would do the project that was supposed to be a partner project on her own since the other person that she sat with now had already started it with a new partner and she was not about to attempt to work with Rylen since she knew that would not end well. When the class had ended and she was a little startled by the hand reaching out to grab her wrist she already knew who it was going to be since he had been the only one left in the room and the teacher eyed then suspiciously. When the words that entailed that she thought she should stay away from him were finished he merited her comment with a small nod and headed out the door. She did not see him at lunch so she thought that he either must have gone out for lunch or must have just left and she hoped that her words were not a cause of this. Even though she promised herself that she would have nothing to do with him she could not help but be completely in tune to the whereabouts and wondering where the man was. It was strange almost as if she had radar for him. She really wanted to know why this was, and ever as unhappy she was with him she never felt as though she could not forgive him which might prove to be dangerous and ridiculous. She was heading towards the cafeteria when her name got called to report to the office and a small sigh was uttered, what had she done now, she already had detention later on in the afternoon and this morning she had been early to school. As she walked there different scenarios played out through her mind when she was taken into the principals office. I don’t want to keep your from your lunch but I wanted to talk to you about what happened yesterday. She nodded and waited for him to then continue. It was my understanding that the reason that you were walking home from school was because your tires on your car were flat. She nodded with a small gulp though she was not going to give him away because he did not deserve that, everyone makes mistakes. Yes. That is what happened. I do believe it was because of the shitty tires that I had just bought, they needed to be replaced and I am pretty sure that was why they were flat it was my fault. He did not look quite convinced enough for her to be happy. It hard finding tires for a car that is rare like that and I wanted these specific ones and did not take into account that they were very worn. She hoped that this would make him understand a little more since it was quite a likely situation since it was true that the tires were hard to find. Are you sure? He asked her with a questioning look. Of course I am. She stated before he then dismissed her back to have her lunch and she left the office with a small sigh of relief. When finally the time for detention rolled around she was exhausted mentally from the day and as the coach stated that they would be sorting book she could not help but nearly groan. They were then ordered to report to the library and she walked there silently and started with the sorting of books. They worked in a close proximity and she could not help but notice that between them there was a certain electric buzz that settled around her mind fogging her rational thinking abilities. It seemed to take the place where the head ache had once been. The tension between them was not normal though she was not about to say anything since they were bound to silence. A few times she would look over and he would be passing her books with relevant titles saying something like I am sorry and that he messed up and this gesture caused a small smile to form on her lips. There was nothing that either of them could do to change the past but it was a proven fact that hating each other got them nowhere. She might as well just forgive him. When they finished he took the extra pile that she still had left and helped her with it. He then passed her car keys to her in exchange for a book and a small feeling of dread passed through her stomach and settled there not knowing what to expect when they walked into the parking lot later. They finished the books before they then walked out of the library to be dismissed for the rest of the day. As she passed by him silently she quickened her pace wanting to see what had happened to the car. She made it out the door quicker than him to see her car sitting there looking perfect with a totally new set of tires on it. Eyes went wide, she never would have been able to afford putting new tires on it at the moment and it looked as though this was to apologize for what had happened. She turned around to thank the male but he was already out of sight and gone. She stepped into the car and drove it home before then finishing some errands and falling into her bed for sleep. When she arrived at school the next day she was determined to then talk to Rylen, she felt like she needed to. When she made it to the next class she spotted him in the same location as before and she had already written a note in the class before, she knew that it was juvenile but she did not have enough time to say what she wanted before they would have to be in the next class. Thank you Rylen, you did not have to do what you did. I forgive you, there’s no point in holding onto the past, what happened did and I am just glad it was not worse as it easily could have been. Meet me for lunch? As a truce? If so, meet me at my car after this class. Elegant scrawl was written on the note and passed in his direction before then sitting through the class and as the bell rang moving to the door to go wait by her car to see if he would actually come.

Constant, strange glances were directed at the male several different times as he worked on the mustang. Ever since one of the workers had gotten screwed over after fixing a car, nobody touched something that needed work unless payment was already discussed and at least a down payment was up front. However, right now, payment seemed like a useless return for fixing this car as it was beyond that. He could not grasp a hold of why exactly he wished to make it up to the girl so badly. Of course it had to do with the injury that he had indirectly inflicted on her. Flattening her tires was excessive in comparison to what she had done probably but there was always a part of him that thirsted more for revenge above anything else. And if Rylen got provoked past a certain point, he knew it would be difficult for himself to stop from seriously injuring someone. There were things he was capable of that made him cringe when the thoughts came to mind. The number of casualties he had caused where still single digits and from many years ago but that did not mean such occurrences had seized to haunt his thoughts. While stating his plans to work on the mustang with the boss from his own paycheck, suspicious eyes laid upon him once more. No matter how often it happened, such an occurrence was not easy to get used to. Once he was finished assembling the tires to the car, his clothes had gotten rather dirty but all he did was take off the black sweatshirt to reveal the charcoal t-shirt that clung to his frame. He took special care to arrive at the school at the proper parking spot and made sure there was not a scratch upon the car's surface. The feeling that came from this work was foreign to him and he could not quite figure how to label it. He went to his class late under the stern gaze of the elder teacher and attempted an apologetic glance that really got him nowhere. Throughout the class, he made the realization that he would have to work his ass off an the project for health since it was pretty clear they would no longer be working together. The concept didn't sound too difficult when he thought it over once more and he would be able to finish it in a quick manner most likely. Later he arrived at the gym on time and made no comment on their punishment as they were directed to the library. Eye contact was never made with Larae and his lips were pressed in a tight line as he was silent. Concentration was lost as thoughts generated through his head while the books were placed were necessary. Specific books were passed in her direction and from the corner of his eye, he caught the small smile that traced across her lips. As he was finishing up, the keys were slid in her direction and he could detect apprehension radiating from her. Naturally, she was probably considering that he had done damage to her car or something which he had done just the opposite. After they were excused, she hurried out ahead and he stayed silent as he exited out the doors to walk his way to the garage. Out of curiosity, he drifted among the different alley ways to try and figure ou what the girl may have gone through. Pausing between one particular way, his whole body froze and nerves were standing on end. There was no one anywhere to be seen and he jogged down to where the fence was. Glancing up, he saw a small fragment of denim still attached to the top and jumped up in order to snatch it. A small splotch of crimson stained the cloth and he did not have to guess as to where either originated from. Gazing around the alley way, he pictured it in the dark and it stirred an old memory. The buildings on both sides were pretty shaby and run down yet he was unsure of when they dated back to. That would be something he would have to look up. After he had found what he needed, he jogged the remainder of the way to the garage to return to work on the car. The tires really would have been pointless at this point since he still had quite a bit of body work to do beforehand. He was quite pleased with the accomplishments he had finished on the side panels when it was time to head home. He was mentally exhausted and decided to take a shower before heading to bed early. It did not seem long when the alarm woke him once again and the routine continued. By the time second hour came around, he sat back in the plastic chair with arms crossed over his chest. Brow arched as a note was placed on his desk, again from Larae. He never thought of her to be the note-passing type since she came off as very strong when it came to everyone else and he figured she would be one to frown upon the act. Lazily, he unfolded the note and scanned over it briefly, glancing up to find her already attentive to the teacher. As of the current moment, he was not sure what to do and then decided he would go since he did need to speak to her. Things had to get semi-straightened out at least. When the class ended, he made no effort give off the impression that he was intending on following her since it was better for both of them. Due to recent involvements, he figured neither really wanted to be seen near the other. He placed the book inside his locker before striding out to the parking lot and halting beside her car. Hey. He uttered simply, standing there quite awkwardly as he contemplated exactly how he intended on speaking his peace. Larae, I've been thinking... The other day I said it'd make our lives easier if we stayed away from each other. I said it out of spite then, but now I really think it would be better for each of us. Hating each other doesn't help and I don't do well trying to be civil if you've noticed. Serious tone stated to her. He was now certain that she had not been at the wrong place at the wrong time the other night. Without really having done anything, Rylen had many enemies- many of which he had no idea who were. So as far as he could comprehend it, he thought it best if they were to both ignore each other's presence. Surely that would solve the strange problems between the two. And I apologize for being an ass to you, every time it has happened or may happen in the future.

So maybe there was some good left in the male and he was not all bad he seemed to realize that this was a large mistake and he was intent on fixing it as she saw with her car and the new tires that had been placed on it before it had been returned yesterday and she wanted to thank him for that. When she passed him the note in health class he seemed surprised though she did not understand why since it had started to be an everyday occurrence as it seemed now. She could not help but think that he looked handsome when brow arched in a question and she hated how the person she was supposed to hate was so good looking and yet she did not even hate the person she was supposed to hate. When the class ended she headed towards the parking lot and towards her car and she was not even sure if he was going to be coming since the few times that she had tried to catch his gaze in the class he was sure to look away and when she had been walking in the hallway he had already disappeared. She stood by her car waiting when she spotted him heading her way from the hallway and a small smile slipped onto rose kissers. The single word was passed her way and met with a reply of her own. Hey. Vocals were soft towards him. He then after a moment of being there started to talk before she even voiced that she did not want to talk at school and asked if they would be able to go for lunch somewhere and then talk. When he finished she felt a lump form in her throat with a small sigh. She would then speak her part. I want to thank you for what you did to fix my car, it was a very nice gesture but I insist on paying you. She uttered first. Then she addressed the next part of his statement. He confirmed her beliefs that he hated her. Lip was bit for a moment mulling over the words. I am sorry I did not realize you felt that way. I don’t hate you Rylen but I guess you definitely hate me. If staying away is what you wish I will abide by your wishes. He then apologized for being an ass before now and in the future and she nodded with a halfhearted attempt at a smile. She did not know why she was being this affected by his words but for some reason she had thought this would be a chance to have a second attempt at something that they had screwed up from the very beginning, there was something between the two of them they were both not normal and it did not take an expert to realize this and she hoped that that would be something that would draw them closer, I mean look how they had been able to be at the dance talking and acting as though they were something that was close to friends. She promised herself that the moment that she got out of school she would no longer be a chicken and she would call the number that she had found in her father’s journal since she needed answers and it was clear that Rylen was not going to have anything to do with her anymore. She turned away from her car leaving him standing there she moved feeling slightly rejected though she would not show it in the way she carried herself. Her pride was too firm for her to allow someone to see that they had penetrated the feelings and emotions of the girl. The rest of the day for her passed in a daze until they were let out of the school. She then stepped into the car driving the rest of the way back to the apartment building and made a call just outside before turning into the parking garage knowing that that cement was not going to be good for reception. A male voice answered and she suddenly did not know what she was planning on saying. This is going to sound really strange. I found your number in my dad’s journal and I was hoping you would be able to help me. It seemed to take a moment for the other person to comprehend it until she spoke a secret word that had been placed in the margin of the page which luckily she had seen and it was then that she was given an address to meet this person later in the afternoon. She changed into a nicer pair of jeans and a shirt that she deemed appropriate before shrugging into a jacket and heading back down the stairs luckily her mom was not home so she did not have to lie to her as she took the Mustang back out and headed towards the address that had been described by the phone call. She was so nervous wondering if this would be something fake and she would just be embarrassed or the possibility of finding out the truth about her being a witch since she already knew that much but that was the extent of the truth. (I didn’t know if you wanted to play Ulrich so I left it open for you )
