Rylen never had been one that was good at playing "nice" with others. He tended to be a loner and therefore never let anyone really get close to him. There were too many secrets that could be discovered; too many risks of hurting any who got close enough to him. The only reason he had Ulrich as a room mate right now was because he was immortal as well and could handle himself. Most others would be defenseless if the worst came into play which it could easily errupt into doing so. This was probably the key reason why he kept himself from getting close to Larae; it was the best for the both of them really or so he had thought. He was aware of the strange connection between the two of them that could easily evolve and was persistent on not allowing it to do so. After his simple greeting, he took note of the smile that appeared on her face and knew that what he was about to tell her was not going to go over well. Although she did not seem to understand or be able to grasp why, it was better for her. And he knew there was a good chance that she would never find out why and that was also vital because the less she knew, the better. Brisk nod returned to her thanking him for the car tires but he objected as she stated that she wanted to pay him. It's already taken care of; don't worry about it. He stated, lips forming a stern line as he shook his head briefly. Frustration conquered his emotions as she commented she did not realize that he hated her which was a false accusation. How the hell did teenage girls jump to such assumptions? He never had really said that or so he couldn't exactly think of a time where he would have gave off such an impression.Remembering why she might have gotten this thought, he swallowed as he recalled responding about the reason why he hated her was from her simply breathing. It hadn't been true then and it certainly was not true now. I don't- Words quickly halted as he decided that leaving her with the false belief would make her stay away from him a lot easier. He remained silent as she said she would follow his request and somber expression crossed his features with another small nodd. He didn't need to make this girl's life more complicated then it already appeared to be. At his apology, he was semi-relieved as she attempted a smile which he took as a good sign. Soon she turned away and was walking away from him and for some strange reason he wanted to call back and apologize for everything but there was no need. Something in him snapped into realization at how he was thinking. Watching her walk away with her head held high only caused him to roll his eyes before heading across the street to grab some lunch.Still he was entirely clueless as to what Larae exactly was and he was rather irritated by the fact that she could mess with his head without trying. School day dragged on for him and he was sure by the reaction of the kids around him that he came off as peeved. At work he was working furiously at the car and cursing under his breath when one of the workers stated something about leaving early to play a game of pool. The idea sounded much better than bothering with the car right now which was only frustrating him worse. He agreed to go and road the ducati to the familiar building and received the usual greeting from the bouncer. He spent a few hours playing pool and calming his nerves by earning other people's money before returning home. Stepping through the door and hearing two voices, he got quite confused and his entire body stopped as he walked near the living room to find Ulrich seated and looking to be conversating with Larae. Since when did avoiding each other completely lead to finding where one lived and then chatting with their room mate?Ahem... He made a rough coughing noise and questioning gaze flickered between the duo seated in the living room. Ulrich, can I speak to you? The air conditioner is acting up again... With that, he stepped into the kitchen rather aggitatedly. Why the hell is she here? He snapped, trying to keep his voice low so she could not decipher his words. After being silenced by the warning gaze from Ulrich, he sighed and walked out into the living room and sat on the floor rather than joining Larae on the couch. Then as Ulrich went to grab something that contained information on the matter he decided to make eye contact with the girl and actually relax somewhat. Sooo........What are you? Other than an overly emotional teenage girl? Arrogant expression captured his facade as he could not help but provoke her once again.
Ulrich: Lazily, the male answered the phone and was quite perplexed by the feminine voice that spoke into it. He did not recognize the voice but that really did not mean anything. Something about a journal caused him to furrow his brows in confusion, only nodding once he heard a familiar word used quite a while ago. Oh. He stated, indicating he understood.Figuring that it would best so he would be aware of any ears listening to the conversation, he gave her instructions to the house as well as informing her that she needed to be alone. Later in the day, he stepped up to answer the door and glanced down a little to find a girl near Rylen's age standing at the door. Well you do resemble your father in someways I suppose. He commented before letting her in and shutting the door behind them. Gesture was made towards the couch as he walked and sat in a chair. What exactly do you know about your father? He asked suspiciously, uncertain of what knews he should reveal to her or if this was all a mistake. A few minutes later, the door was shut and Rylen soon was glaring at him from behind where Larae sat. Excuse me a moment.... He trailed off before following the younger into the kitchen and out of the girl's hearing range. She came to me for help? He was confused by Rylen's reaction since he appeared pissier than normal. Glare was sent in his direction which he returned the stare before returning to sit on the chair.

She was still so distraught by the fact that she had managed to set that man on fire that was attacking her with nothing more than her mind, she knew that she did not have a match even close to her pockets and she had not even been facing him, she had been so scared and when she turned back to where he had been standing he was on fire and she had been able to walk away from the scene. Who was to tell whether this was going to happen at school she might be bickering with someone then all of a sudden they would burst into flames so it was then that she promised herself that she was going to talk to the person that her father had written in the journal as soon as possible even though she was terrified out of her mind. What if it turned out that had been the person that had taken her father away and he simply had not been able to write about the person backstabbing him in the journal. Though she knew that there was a certain amount of risk that she was going to have to take. She wanted to be able to control her powers and find out what she was really capable of. When the male reached her after walking up to the side of the car she was able to tell by the look on his face that what he had to tell her was not going to make her happy. She knew that he could not deny that there was an odd connection between the two of them. After the night at the dance they had both realized that they were feeling the same thing, the headaches whenever they were close and feeling oddly close, there had been a time when she had been in class when his hand brushed hers and she felt as though she portrayed something that was a private part of her mind to him but lately they had been too busy fighting to do much research into this. When she told him that she wanted to pay the price for the tires he told her no and that they were already taken care of and she was not about to argue with him when he then distracted her with the coming words that he was going to now stay away from her and make sure that they would keep their distance since it was the best for them. She did not agree with that since she could see that even though they were trying to stay away from one another it was a small enough school that they would still have to see each other and quite frankly she wanted to have someone that might be able to relate with her since he was not just a human as well. He started speaking as she told him that she knew that he hated her and it almost sounded as though he was going to tell her that he did not hate her and he looked a little angry when it had been just the other day that he told her that one of the reasons he hated her was just the fact that she was breathing. He did not carry the same sinister expression that she was used to seeing him with he almost looked as if he was sad in saying their goodbyes. She was not stupid enough to let him see the weakness in her when she took a deep breath and shoulders were set rigid as strides were long and graceful as she walked away from him back towards the building, debating even entering when she got to the door and she realized that she needed to be on her best behavior for the next little bit and she would not be skipping class since she did not need any more detention. She did not seen Rylen at all the rest of the day when she then passed through the parking lot to luckily find her car undisturbed sitting in the lot like it had been all the times other than when Rylen had come to the school. It took a moment when she phoned the number for the person to understand what she was speaking about and it took her mentioning the secret word before he then gave her an address that she recognized to be fairly close to where she lived to meet him in about an hour and a half so she walked up to the apartment merely to change and the only reason she did that was to keep her mind busy during the time that she had when she was waiting to get back into her car. She changed into a different pair of jeans before putting some laundry on and grabbing a muffin before passing out the door and down the hallway. Her stomach was tied into knots and her head was swimming with thoughts of what might happen in the next little while. The paper was clutched in her palms that she knew were getting sweaty with the apprehension. She was jittery and a few times her foot pressed a little hard on the gas and the car roared in protest. She spotted a place to park behind the building and before she stepped out she scanned the area for a moment to make sure that no one was in there since she was not paranoid. When she was sure that it was safe she stepped out of the car locking all the doors before then jogging to the door of the apartment building and looking for the one that was said to be these persons. She knocked on the door when she found it and it was answered by an older man that looked be her father%u2019s age. She was nervous for what he would have to say to her and she offered a hand in his direction. Hello. I am Larae. And after he introduced himself as well she was allowed into the apartment that looked as though it was not just him living there. The man stated that she resembled her father and this brought a lump of emotion to her throat and she bit her bottom lip. I never did know what happened to him. She uttered gently. I am sorry that I had to call you. I did not know who else to go to. Just as she finished this before she then told the man what she was there was the sound of a key being slipped into a lock on the door and they were joined by a presence that brought and instant headache to fog her mind. Why the hell he be here? She fell silent. There was an overdramatic and rude clearing of his throat that brought her attention back to him and she considered just running the situation was getting more and more weird. He looked as though he was comfortable here and when he commented to Ulrich that he needed help because the air conditioner was %u2018broken%u2019 he knew that they were somehow either living together or had some sort of a relation. Ultra-sensitive hearing picked up not on the words that were being spoken when they stepped into the kitchen but the tone that came from Rylen as being rather agitated. Well it did not take much to push his buttons. Of course when they returned Rylen looked as though he was interested in what she would have to say. She then turned back to the conversation she was having before the man arrived. Is it safe for me to talk about it in front of him? She asked referring to Rylen. When he asked her what she was other than an overly emotional teenage girl something inside her snapped. An overly emotional teenager? I am not the one that hates someone simply because they are breathing, I tried to play nice with you, and where do I end up, with a broken arm because some asshole popped my tires. Oh and you should be thanking me because I convinced the principal of your innocence today when he had his suspicions since it happened no more than a few hours after we were both in the office. She was all fired up now. If my arm was not broken I would punch you in the face again. She took a deep breath allowing the hot headed side of her to dissipate slightly. Turning to the other man in the room she seemed to be cooled down again and slightly embarrassed by the outburst that he provoked and she hated it for getting to her as it had. I am sorry about that please forgive me. As for what my father told me. Well he did not tell me much since the changes at the time before he disappeared And were minimal. She looked as though she was fighting with if she was going to tell him what she was before she then gave in. I am a witch. And before now I was fine with ignoring it and pretending it did not exist until the other night when I was jumped on the street and I set a guy on fire. I did not even have a match on me and poof he was all of a sudden on fire. And whenever I am around Rylen I get really bad headaches and its not just because hes annoying.

Ulrich: As the girl introduced herself, he nodded in response. Ulrich. He returned before ushering her in the house. At the comment about her resembling her father he did not think anything of it until she got emotional about it. The only emotional one he really had to deal with was Rylen who generally went from mad to aggravated. As she said she never knew what happened to her dad, he shook his head. We're still not quite sure either.... He stated gently, trying to be understanding with the girl. He shook his head as she apologized for calling him. No, I'm pretty sure the list of people your father trusted was not very large so therefore if I was in that book, he would have wanted you to come to me. At least that made sense to him on the matter. Charlie had been a close friend of his and an allie basically so it only seemed logical that the man's daughter would confront him on a subject such as this. Things were all right until Rylen returned and she looked a little out of it. He went to the kitchen as asked and settled things with the male, only to hear them yelling at each other as he grabbed something from another room. He returned to roll his eyes. I will not put up with this from either of you. He grumbled sternly before returning to his original seat. The girl had the sense to apologize and he nodded in return. She explained that she didn't know much before he disappeared and he again nodded. This will not be easy to explain so you will have to come back....Hearing the shattering of glass he closed his eyes. Rylen, grow up and get over it for damn sakes. Sigh came from him as the other sat back out and he was getting worn from their fighting. The girl stated she was a witch which did not come as a shock to him since he knew her father and where the powers originated from. Hmm.... He mumbled as she explained the situation of setting the person on fire. It's going to take a lot to control your powers and I'm really going to have to look into this a bit more. Eyes narrowed at Rylen as he tried to joke and quite frankly he was tired of their shit. Returning to Larae. Can you explain what happened the other night when you got jumped?
As he stepped into view of the living room and caught sight of Larae, she went still. And he was the one that hated her? By stating that the air conditioner was not working, he was trying to be semi-polite but he knew she would catch the drift and that it was obvious as it was. After the small and silent argument with his room mate, the male strided confidently to the living room. Eyes darted to the girl as she questioned if it was alright for her to speak infront of him and he nearly snorted in return. When Ulrich had stepped away he asked the taunting question only for her to practically blow up on him. She then basically turned the comment back on him which got him heated up as well. Well maybe if you weren't breathing, I wouldn't get this damn head ache all the time. He retorted. I explained to you that it would be easier if we avoided each other yet you keep popping back into my life and make things worse. Your tires weren't popped, just deflated if you had not noticed- there is a difference. Thanking you? As if I need you kissing up to the principal and telling him lies. Tell the truth. Get me in trouble. Why does it matter to you? I sure as hell don't need you sticking up for me.[/b] He snapped, standing up now to hover over her. Steel eyes glared down at her without speaking. Do it. He silently encouraged at her comment before stalking back to the kitchen and grabbing a glass of water. Hearing the comment about her having to return, fingers clenched a little too tightly around the glass until it broke and kitchen towel was wrapped around his hand as he picked up the shards. He ignored the comment about growing up because it was beyond that now.Rylen reentered the room and sat on the arm of the couch, as far away from Larae as possible. He choked on the ice cube in his mouth as she said she was a witch. That explains a lot. Are you sure you aren't mistaking the 'b' for a 'w'? Quite pleased with himself, he paused from laughing as she stated about setting someone on fire. Eyes widened at that fact because it surprised him that she had not attempted to kill him yet. Catching the last part about the head aches not being simply from him being annoying, he opened and closed his mouth. The feeling is mutual. He muttered, staring at Larae. With a glance at Ulrich, he knew he was treading the last straw which happened often.

She could not believe that she was stuck in this situation, could this get any worse. Of course the one person that she would be able to trust to help her had to have something to do with the guy that she was determined to stay away from, when they were together they were trouble and it only ended up in a screaming match where if she was feeling better she would end up punching him yet again. She had thought that this afternoon when they had been in the parking lot and he had actually almost stopped to say that he did not hate her that they were past this. He snorted when she asked if it would be alright for her to speak in front of him and a glare was shot his direction jade coloured eyes narrow towards him before her attention was turned back on the older man but it was not kept there for long since the younger boy was still mouthing off in her direction telling her that maybe if she was not breathing that he would not get the head aches that he got and this time it struck deep and she felt the emotions rise in her though this time it was not anger but rather a depressed feeling that caused a somber look to cross her features and make her realize that it was not worth being as worked up as she was she would just ignore him being here and when he stood looking as though he was going to move out of the room that might be a little more easy. When she stated that if her arm was not broken she would have punched him he leant down to get in her face and dare her to do it though she was not taking the bait knowing it would only get her in trouble and this was the last chance that she had unless she wanted to be looking up her condition on the internet and trying to decipher what would be true and what was not true while in the meantime trying not to hurt the general people and keep her skills that caused her to start fires to a minimum. He was even more mad at her when she told him about the principal and she hated herself for it since she had made herself a promise that no matter what happened she was not going to tell him that she had stuck up for him to try to make sure that he did not get in trouble for the actions that he had caused he the also set into place that he did not pop her tires and merely deflated them and she uttered a small sigh since the fight seemed to be turning in place. When the older man told her that she was going to have to return and that he was going to have to do more research she felt her stomach lurch she did not want to come back to this apartment not when she would have to deal with Rylen not only at school but also in his house after school. It was like a horror movie come true. When he seemed to hear that from the kitchen she heard shards of glass clatter to the floor. Ulrich told him to grow up and she almost did not manage to stifle the chuckle from that knowing that would never happen and he was just wasting his breath. When she finally came out with the secret and told him that’s he was a witch he seemed to already realize this so she realized that her father must have been the exact same and he had known what to expect. When Rylen came back into the room and sat on the couch he made a lame joke about her being sure that a B did not take place of the W. This caused her temper towards him to flare up again and she did not even hear what the older man was saying a burning glare was then turned to Rylen. She debated shoving him off the couch though she wanted to stay on her best behavior though what she did not realize was that her rage was too much to swallow and soon small flames danced on the corner of the males shirt without her even having to look at him. The rage instantly turned to fear as she realized this was her doing and she lunged towards him knocking him off the couch but in the fall managing to put the flames out. As soon as she stood she was looking a little more defeated. The rage that had been across her face now portrayed utter fear. Coming here was obviously a mistake. She did not move from her spot on the floor where she had tackled Rylen though knowing there were going to be utter consequences for this.

Despite how nice it had been the other night at the dance, he could not keep up with being civil towards her. He could not simply get along with the girl right now it seemed since he was so focused on not letting her get any further information on him. He wanted nothing to do with her right now and after he explained they needed to avoid her, the feeling appeared mutual which made him feel slightly better. The only reason in which he was willing to listen to Ulrich was not just because he had respect for the older male but because he could take Rylen out without a problem. When it came to Larae, he had too much of a hard time not to provoke her and could not help but let the comments slip from his mouth. He could feel the anger radiating from both parties and tried to control himself but could not. Something he had said must have hit the girl at home because she had changed from aggravated to melancholy. Still, this did not stop his ranting until he left the room. Energy was rushing through his veins and he could not understand why and sipped at a glass of water in the kitchen until finding out she would have to return. Then the glass shattered and he was completely ignorant of the comment from Ulrich. Why was it that every time he pushed this girl away from his life that she kept coming back in? Repetitively. All along, he knew she was different. Now, all she had to do was admit it and he had yet to state exactly what he was. Honestly, he had not intention of informing her of so anyway. He returned and was rather amused with her confession until she was glaring at him so intensely that he swore he could feel the heat closing in on his skin. Perplexed look crossed features until he realized that his shirt had combusted with small flames. What the?! He tried to bat them away frantically with his hands until he lost his balance by a force hurling at his direction. Back crashed against the carpet with a small groan, getting up only to find Larae sprawled across his body. I had it sorted. He grunted, sitting up and waiting for her to get up.She did not seem to understand that in no matter what situation, he did not want her protection or for her to stand up for him, nothing like that. However, Ulrich was now past his boiling point and swearing at them in German before shoving them both in the closet and locking the door. I will not deal with this. Figure it out. You have five minutes until I leave for at least two hours, so it's your choice. The elder yelled against the door. Damn it. Rylen muttered as he was roughly shoved in the cramped space and was entirely tense as he strained away from Larae. Shoulder was shoved against the door, which did not give at all of course. She'll burn the entire house down you senile idiot! All this got was a faded chuckle and Rylen growled in turn. This may have worked in the good old days, but it sure as hell is not going to work now. He kept talking loudly and banging against the door. Finally, he gazed over at the girl. Can you burn the door down? Poof us out of here? Something? He asked, head hitting against the door a few times before it only added to his head ache. I'm dying.... Frantic gasps were made until the gruff voice sounded. Old trick. Frowning, the male considered something new. Oh my god, my pants are on fire! She's gonna burn me alive! Apparently this was not working either. Ulrich, you crazy bastard, let me out now. He yelled one last time, trying to consider a plan. His room mate was unresponsive to any of the calls and therefore he could not think of anyway to get out of this since he could not simply be courteous to the girl. Why did he have to be locked in a closet with her of all people? Thinking it over now, it was really not that bad other then the fact she could kill him without speaking.

She did not know what triggered the fire besides the fact that both times that it had happened she had been in an extreme state of mind, the first time she had been scared and fighting for her well being and now she had been so angry that she had not been able to contain it. She felt as though she was going to explode and it was then that the fire lapped at the end of the mans shirt. As soon as this happened she realized that what she had done was completely wrong and lunged at him to attempt to stop the flames knocking him off the side of the couch. She landed on the ground with a force that caused her to utter an oomph as she landed right on top of the male and she instantly rolled off. Her arm was aching with the use it had been put though and the fact that she was supposed to be taking it easy when she was beating the crap out of herself as well as Rylen. As she looked up to see the expression on the elders face she knew that they were in a lot of shit. She cringed a little when the male grunted and the older man seemed to be searching for the appropriate thing to do to them as punishment. The language changed to one that she did not recognize and she knew that the one supervising them was hitting a breaking point and they were shoved into the small closet by the door. They were so close that they were touching her legs were cramped up but she did not comment knowing that they deserved this she instead allowed her headache to build with the yelling and blabbering that was going on beside her without saying a single word she rested her forehead in her hands. He tried his best to stay as far away from her as possible but the closet was not built for two. She nearly screamed when some article of clothing fell from the hanger onto her head but she managed to bite her lip and silence herself. She was now starting to calm down when Rylen was screaming that she was going to burn the house down and eyes were rolled with how dramatic he was being. He was making so much noise and it was making her head pound so she knew that it would have to be the same for him. Finally when the yelling did not seem to work he turned to her asking if she could burn the door down. She fought back a sarcastic comment by biting her tongue and staying silent she was not going to say anything that could be seen as provoking him. All the tricks were brought out next as he claimed that he was dying and then claimed that she was burning his pants. There seemed only one thing that would work to stun him too much to shut him up. Perhaps it would give her peace for a little while. The connection between the two of them was undeniable and that was what they had been trying their best to fight. As the last part of his sentence was yelled she cut him off, closing the distance between the two of them for her lips to crash down on his. The words then turning muffled as hand moved to the back of his neck. She could not believe the feeling that this provoked as it seemed as though an electric current passed between them before she pulled away to press her even farther back in the closet at least it was silent now. Thank goodness. It’s silent. It was used as nothing but a tool to ensure that he would fall silent. She was not too sure if the other man outside the closet had left and was planning on leaving them in the closet while he was gone but perhaps the small amount of silence would make him think about opening the door. Or at least she might have a little more silence before the rants and ravings started again, she was positive that she would never live this down and he would taunt her about it.

At the sight of his shirt on fire, it was only a natural reaction for him to try to beat them away which did not last long since Larae soon came crashing down on him. He groaned at the force in which he hit the floor as well as with her weight hitting him as well. Why couldn't she just let him handle things himself? No, she always had to try and fix things that weren't even hers to fix. By the look they were getting, it was bluntly obvious that they were in deep shit with the old man. The last bit had been her fault but Rylen had provoked it of course. Soon, they were shoved in the closet and he was trying his hardest to be as far away from her as possible which was not at all easy. His reasons for rambling on and on was to annoy the elder since it had worked in the past. Today however, it was having no effect. A coat fell ontop of the girl's head and he rolled his eyes, surprised she did not even make a sound at it. Throbbing was in his head and therefore only kept him blabbering on and on, trying to get them out as well as ignore the ache. She was too ill at ease with the way she was currently acting and he was getting quite irritated about it. Little miss Perfect was coming out again.Rambling seized as he became all too aware of her hand around the back of his neck. Eyes focused on her features in the dim lighting and he was not sure as to what she was going to do. The thought of her strangling him quickly came to mind since he was quite sure the idea had crossed her mind in the beginning. He was tense and silent as she moved closer, ashen depths eyeing her suspiciously. As lips were pressed against his, back arched and he tried to move away but was unable to do so as he was pressed against the corner. There was a strange energy behind the kiss that he wished had not been there. Something like that should have never happened and she would never understand why. Hands gently pushed the girl away, wide gaze staring at her with obvious bewilderment. That...should not have happened. He uttered finally, closing his eyes and leaning against the wall. She commented that it was silent which was now quite obvious. As much as he tried to deny it, he knew he was attracted to the girl but that could never come into play. Despite the head aches and the arguing that went on between them, he knew there was something behind it all. And behind the kiss there was something more even though there should not have been. A strange heat had evolved between them, but it was not anywhere near the type that he had felt from the flames earlier. The male was still entirely confused and had no idea what was coming of everything between he and Larae. There was a knock on the door and eyes were allowed to open. Did you kill him yet? It would be doing me a favor... Ulrich chuckled before glancing in the door and opening it to allow them both out. After the old man had left for awhile, Rylen reach for the girl's wrist gently and lead her to his room, shutting the door behind them. Look, we need to talk. I'll be honest and decent, I swear. He stated, moving from the door to let her leave if she wished. Gaze traveled awkwardly around the bleak room that was actually currently neat. Frame leaned casually against the wall then letting irises wander to Larae and see her next move.

She knew that it was the wrong response for her to pounce on him in the manner in which she had in reaction to the flames that were licking at the man’s shirt and she knew that they were in a lot of trouble from the moment that she landed on the floor to roll off of him as soon as she was sure that the fire was out with a groan. Every muscle in her body seemed stiff from what had just happened and she was sure that she would feel it in the morning well if she was still alive from the punishment that she knew would be coming. When they were shoved into the closet she was not at all surprised and even less surprised at the antics of the male as he was yelling and screaming and head butting the wall and she knew that all of what he was doing would be of no help to either of them since the older man was not going to let them out of the closet before they cooled down or risk the rest of this place being ruined by the two of them fighting. Her temper seemed to fizzle instantly as she realized what was very serious and important in all this. She needed the other man to be able to help her before she harmed someone seriously. Unfortunately as it seemed now Rylen was a part of the package deal and she wished that she would be able to go back to the night of the dance and wished that perhaps she had not left when she had and not responded in the manner that seemed to set this all off since this might be a completely different situation. She knew that her being as stoic as she was making him even more angry though she also knew that it would make him angry if she did anything else so really there was no use in even trying. When she moved towards him and placed her hand on the back of his neck he strained to try to get away from her though there was nowhere for him to go in the closet. She was curious what it would be like to kiss the male when she knew the connection between them and this was the perfect chance since it doubled as a chance to try to get him to shut up. She did not expect what she felt when her lips touched his, the buzz dissipated the head ache and she was so entirely focused on the features of the man who she now realized was quite handsome. She would never admit this to herself or anyone else either. She was not into men that hated her. He pushed her away though it was an almost gentle gesture from him as he looked a little confused. Gaze was gentle as it met his for a brief moment as he told her that it should not have happened. It was then that she noticed that the door was starting to open now that they had been silent for a moment. It worked, didn’t it? She answered quietly before getting to her feet when Ulrich peeked in and was prepared to let them out of the closet. Ulrich then left for whatever he had planned and she was glad that they managed to get out before he had left since she knew that her mother would be returning from work soon and would be suspicious of where she had been and she could not even think long enough to come up with an albi. She nodded when the older man told her that he would call her when he got more information and would tell her what she needed to know but he did not know enough now to help her much. She promised that she would try her best to stay as laid back as possible to make sure that she did not start any fires. She was about to step out of the house and into the hallway to return to her car when there was a gentle touch on her wrist that grasped the joint making it impossible for her to leave though body stilled the moment that it was felt and she turned back to the boy that remained having thought that the moment it was possible he would kick her ass out of his home. Instead he lead her in the direction of what looked to be his room, brow was raised. Was he about to yell and scream at her about the kiss in the closet, if that was the case she would tell him the only reason it had been done was to make him silent for long enough for them to be let out before Ulrich left. She was alright until the door shut behind them and she started to get a little fidgety not too sure if she wanted to be alone in the apartment in the man’s room. She strangely enough trusted him enough to not make a run for it though. He stated that he wanted to talk and promised that he would be decent. I am sorry about all that happened earlier, I don’t know what got into me. She stated gently and the genuine expression crossed her features as eyes then turned upward to meet his gaze. She scanned the room quickly noticing that it was quite neat though nothing around seemed to depict anything that the man was interested in, it was a little strange.

Many would consider him stupid if he were not to enjoy the thought of kissing the girl yet he couldn't bring himself to do so.Sure, she was easy on the eyes and had quite the personality and the whole nine yards, but to let her closer than she already was was to tread on dark waters. He swore to himself that no matter who it was that as long as they could not defend themselves against immortals that he would never be the cause of their danger. Without her knowing so, he had already managed to do so in the girl's case. She had managed to defend herself this time, more so by accident but he was not confident with her ability to since she still had a lot to figure out. Everything around him seized to exist as the girl's lips barely touched his. Again he was able to decipher what was going through her head but he was not intent on doing so. He liked that her thoughts remained a mystery to him. Despite this fact, he gently shoved her away and after his statement she said that it had worked which was true. Yes. Syllable was a quiet mumble. How was he supposed to react to that? He could tell that she was not very proud of her actions but did not really care now. He wanted to brush aside the thought entirely. There was no way that he was going to get caught up over some girl. Soon they were released from their punishment and he stumbled away, pausing to grab the girl's wrist and wisk her away. He made no comment to her as he lead her to his room, just so they could have privacy even though no one was left home. He had his doubts that the girl would keep from darting but was surprised as she stayed. She apologized which led to him shaking his head with a small sigh. Eyes fell upon the girl's features, a foreign softness to them. It's my fault. Everything. He stated quietly, gritting his teeth until he went to continue. I don't hate you, Larae. Especially for breathing. Not even for setting me on fire. It's just that I have reasons for trying to avoid you. Gaze fell upon her casted arm. That being one of them. You're different, as am I. Yet, there is more risk to hanging around me. Just understand that, without me, you wont be hurt nearly as much. At school, things will remain the same, and here I'll try not to be around. Ulrich will continue to help you with your "condition". Part of him objected to the idea of avoiding her but he knew it was honestly the best for both of them. They could not even just remain friends. Once he was finished with his spiel, he figured she would want to leave so the door was opened and left so. I'll see you around at school then I guess. He stated rather awkwardly, trying not to convey his thoughts of the entire situation. She probably had to get home anyhow and he did not know really what else to say.

The dark and brooding temperament of the male seemed to be coming out even more so now that she had kissed him and she hoped that he would not over analyze it. She did not want to get into another discussion with him that would just end in a fight she was tired of that could they not just tolerate eachother and be done with it? it was obvious that even despite the connection between them that there would never be anything between them, there was too much baggage there and they were both dangers to eachother and themselves. She would never subject someone else to being with someone like her that could spontaneously cause them to combust at any moment. He seemed to want to talk though and she would honour that request since she knew that if she just got out she would always be curious as to what he was going to say. When he led her to his room she stood rather rigid by the door convinced that if something were to happen that she would be able to flee with no more than a moment’s notice. He looked rather defeated and she decided that she did not like to see this from him. He was such a defiant and independent person she did not want to see him upset and she found that it was affecting her as well. Why were their emotions tied so closely to one another? With a small sigh he stated that everything was his fault and she shook her head it was not true they both had the same amount of blame to be rested on their shoulders there were a lot of things that she wished that she could have changed so it did not get to this point but there was no going back now. He then continued on telling her that he did not hate her and there was a strange relief to that comment not even when she set him on fire and this caused a small softening to her features and almost caused her to smile, well if she had not been under so much stress she would have smiled. He then told her that he had other reasons for avoiding her and she nodded wishing that she would have been able to understand this but she knew nothing about him. He looked right to her casted arm as he spoke about it being one of the reasons that he would be trying to avoid her. You had no intentions of hurting me. I know that. She murmured gently. He then continued telling her that it was more dangerous with them being around one another and she wished that she would have felt the same but sadly she wished that since they seemed to have something in common they might be able to be a little closer since he was the only one that was in on her secret and she intended to keep it that way since she knew that he was different already but she did not know any of the specifics. She found herself being sincere for a moment as he finished the sentence stating that school would remain the same and he would try his best not to be here when she was working with Ulrich. I am scared Rylen. All my life I spent growing up thinking I was normal to then have my world turned upside down. What if I hurt someone? He then seemed to dismiss her telling her that he would see her at school and she nodded before turning towards the door. She made her way to the front of the apartment and let herself out heading back down the stairs to her car and sliding into the driver’s side before then fastening the seatbelt and with her mind whirling she drove back to her house. When she arrived there she had a terrible headache and decided to go straight to bed. Leaving her mom a note that she was not feeling well and went to bed before slipping into her room and having a quick shower before then crawling beneath her sheets. When she awoke in the morning she was feeling a little better. By the second class she could not help but sneak glance at Rylen as he walked into the classroom.

The words he spilled out were chosen selectively seeing as he did not want to give away too much. The less she knew the better, and she already knew too much.Every time her injured arm came into view, guilt washed throughout him. It would have never happened if he had not deflated her tires. She appeared relieved as he explained he did not hate her, but it was considered as a normal response since no one really wanted to be hated. As he told her there were reasons for which he was avoiding her, she looked accepting to the fact which made it easier for him. Looking at her arm, she told him she knew it was not in his intentions which it had never been. I don't, however I am only one person. Words mumbled, half to himself. He was already worried about how much the girl knew and how many could have seen her or simply known of her being near him. Things could get complicated quite easily. Looking into the information he had on her being jumped the other night, he was more than certain that it had something to do with him.Hearing the fear in her voice as she spoke, he swallowed as he tried his best to be sympathetic for her. I know. He murmured quietly to her as she stated her being scared. You wont hurt someone unless they deserve it. Ulrich will help you. Lyrics replied quietly, watching her walk away and hearing the door shut before sitting on his bed. Personally, he had no clue what the girl was experiencing. All along he had been aware of what he was where she had just found out basically. He could not imagine what she was going through, especially after lighting someone on fire randomly. He could not relate to her in any way on that subject. Becoming restless, the male took a jog down the street until he once again came across the alley way where she'd gotten hurt. Tension ran throughout the air even though he was alone. Flashbacks zoomed into the males's head and he was soon stumbling back against on of the large brick buildings, seductive tones calling his name in his head. Groan came from him as everything went blurry and he had to steady himself against the wall. Breathing hesitated until once more the vision of Larae being attacked returned; the same from a few days ago. Eerie chill was sent down his spine as he quickly jogged back home, rather light headed after his nearly passing out due to the strange auras. Research on the area was done, narrowing in on the two buildings where he felt the haunting connection. Large lump was swallowed in his throat as he found the dates of the buildings and remembered a bit of his past. Ulrich then entered the house and laptop was quickly shut, nodding a greeting to the elder before heading to take a shower and then go to bed for the night. Would it hurt you to be a little nicer to her? She's different from us, Rylen. Take it easy on her. Stern words were spoken to the male before he was able to step into his bedroom and he nodded. I know. He replied quietly as the door was shut behind him. Shower lasted longer than normal, trying to clear his head of all that had happened. Sleep came easily for the immortal as he settled under the blankets, glad as things first seemed like a normal dream until they took a turn for the worst. Screams were heard and soon he saw Larae curled up and bloody. Instantly, he woke up with frantic breaths to find the alarm clock glowing that it was only four o'clock in the morning and everything was still dark. The horrid image could not be erased from his mind and he could not understand as to why. He fell back into a restless sleep and woke up not long later to prepare for the school day. While walking into second period, he caught a familiar pair of eyes watching him but made little effort to look back despite the temptation. Small note was writted on a piece of paper before folding it into a small paper airplane. The bell had not sounded by the time it had took flight and slid into a gentle landing on her desk. Lunch for real this time? Meet me across the street? He knew he'd just stressed the importance of them ignoring each other but he could not help it plus he needed to get a bit more information from the girl. They would be walking across the street at different times so no one would know it was between the two of them and he also had an alternative plan. After the teacher had lectured for the majority of the class and assigned work, everyone was relieved to hear the bell and be excused. Things were shoved in the locker and then lengthy strides carried him across the street as he waited.

Perhaps he was right, Ulrich would be able to help her even though she knew that the chances they were of the same immortal species was slim. At least he seemed to be a little more aware of what was going on since he knew about this all long before she had since her father had known him when he had been younger and perhaps Ulrich had been the one to help him. She wondered if she was different from him or if they had the same powers. She wondered if he would have told her if she had asked him, she knew that this condition was the thing that her father would have wanted the least for her. He wanted her to have a normal life where she would get to experience what it would be like to be a normal and high strung teenage girl. She used to be known to be so laid back, perhaps all this was making her hormones act up and go into overdrive since she had started to seem a little more unruly. She really wished that she had been able to find out what Rylen was. She had told him so she thought it to only be fair for her to know what he was. When she returned home she did not even pause before returning to her room and deciding that she needed the sleep. She was under a lot of stress and she might be in a better mood in the morning with a little more sleep. When she passed into a sleep she saw Rylen, the boy looked different though and he was falling from the sky, with wings. He then appeared to change into a bird and simply flap his wings and fly away. Her mind was playing tricks on her and she remembered this when she woke up with a small chuckle. Clothes for the day were sorted through and she decided on her favourite pair of jeans that seemed to accent all the right features. A black leather belt was wound around her waist as she then placed a tank top on with a sweater overtop. She then wore a pair of black flats. She then grabbed her keys from the place that they were sitting on her night stand and locked the door before then jogging down the hallway so that she would not be late for school and climbing into the car which roared to life as the gas was pressed down. She parked in her regular spot before then getting to the class just as the bell was ringing. Her stomach growled since she did not have time to eat breakfast that morning and she was even more hungry by the time that second period rolled around and she spotted Rylen. She then turned back to the lecture that the teacher was given when a small paper airplane landed on her desk and she instantly knew who it was before she even read the note, asking her if she would go for lunch for real this time. When she got a chance she turned back to him with a small dip of her head that no one around them would even notice before finishing the class. Her books were then placed in her locker when she then passed out the door to the place across the street he had been talking about. Palm was ran through rouge tinted locks as they fell straight around her shoulders for today. She spotted him across the road and caught the door when someone else walked into the café like place. She walked with him in the door and they were allowed to sit in one of the booths along the side. What she did not account for was one of her friends that she knew from the school then passed in front of her spotting her with Rylen there and waving at her. She swallowed a lump in her throat but did not allow herself to take much notice before turning back to him. I don’t care if people see us together. It’s not like they are going to be suspicious people change all the time. She met his eyes for a moment before she turned to the menu and looking back up when the waitress came to them asking for their drink orders and she ordered a coke.

Upon discovering his room mate, Rylen had obtained a wealth of knowledge from the old man. There was an extensive library hidden within the old man's things that told of many different symptons for different creatures and many of his own experiences. Thus being why Rylen always confronted him first. The man was very trusting and willing to teach as well as tolerable when it came to the younger's bull shit. Through Ulrich, he had discovered much about the extent of his own abilities as well as those who he had come across as enemies as well. It was very beneficial to know your enemies' weakness. After experiencing the nightmare and later waking up, the drake was actually rushing himself to get ready simply because of an adrenaline high caused by the fear of the simple little night mare. Black t-shirt was pulled over his torso and a pair of clean jeans were pulled on in addition. Leather jacket was added on his way out the door with a half-eaten bagel upon stepping over the motorcycle. He finished what was left of the breakfast before slipping the helmet over his head and driving the bike to school. Still he kept from parking in the student parking lot and left the bike safely behind a building. As usual, he actually enjoyed the first hour since it was P.E., although health was generally another story. Eyes briefly acknowledged those of Larae's but he soon stepped back towards his own seat. Airplane was sent through the air as the teacher's back was turned and Rylen was satisfied as the kid that tried to grab it failed to and it stopped expertly upon Larae's desk. Attention focused on the front board, yet caught the acknowledging nod of the girl's with a crooked smile. At least they were on good terms for more than one hour now. Though he still thought she would not want their conversations to be ultimately public which he did not care for either. The teacher rambled on and on until they were at last dismissed. He had already walked to where they were supposed to be meeting by the time he recognized her figure to be heading in the same direction. Silence surrounded them as they walked together towards the small cafe and he was not sure how to start talking anyway. As they had sat, someone recognized her and he could tell she was not at ease because of so. She then went on telling him that she did not care and eyes were rolled. You may want to work on sounding convincing, although it was a good try. He commented sarcastically, quickly catching himself. Sorry. We can go somewhere else if you would prefer? His motorcycle was right there practically and there were a number of places for them to go. He ordered a coke as well and once it came started sliding the glass between his hands effortlessly. Ulrich wants you over as soon as possible today, he found some stuff out that he needs to explain to you. Low voice told her so no one would catch on. How is your arm? He asked out of curiosity, quite sure that her tackling him yesterday had done nothing good for it. He also wanted to try and explain to her something about it but was not sure how to come about doing so.The waitress returned and he ordered a cheeseburger which actually sounded appetizing at the moment. When the waitress left, serious expression crossed features as he then watched Larae once again. I know I said I was going to avoid you, I will, I just need to speak with you first. Tone was quiet, but loud enough for her to pick up on what he was saying. Plus, I had to attempt to keep things straightened out. Crooked grin appeared across his face once again, for once finding it easy to keep things civil with the girl.

She knew that from this day on that her life would never be the same again. She was no longer the teenage girl that all she had to worry about was boys and getting good grades as well as maintaining friends in high school. She had a deep and dark secret now and the more that she learnt about it the worse that it was going to get for her. She could still claim to be oblivious to it all right now so that was nice. It did not appear as life altering as she knew it was going to when Ulrich told her all that he found out. School for a brief moment took her mind off it as she then became more interested in solving math problems in her first class of the day only to have the boring and useless health class next but it did not remain boring when the man walked in the door and after a few moments of her sitting at her desk there was a paper airplane that had sailed through the air and landed precisely on her desk in the moments that the teacher was not watching. She read the note and gave him the signal that she was going to be coming where he wished for her to be. The class seemed to take forever and every time that she glanced at the clock it seemed as though the hands on it had barely moved but finally the shrill sound of the bell indicated that they were free for lunch and she walked to her locker to place her books in the metal contraption before following him as he walked across the street and they did so in silence for the time being. She was being truthful when she told him that she did not care about the person seeing them, she was just a little nervous about it since she was almost positive that he would be the one to care. She slipped comfortably into the booth across from him. She did not care if she was late for her next class there was nothing that she wanted more then to sit down for lunch and actually enjoy herself since somehow her ‘condition’ seemed a little more important than school at the time being. He asked if because of the person that saw them if she wanted to go somewhere else and she shook her head. She was already sitting down and ready to order. When the waitress came she ordered her drink before he then started to talk telling her that Ulrich wanted to see her right away and she nodded. Alright I will go see him after school. When her coke arrived at the table she closed her hand around the frosted glass and pulled it in her direction before then sipping delicately from the straw that bobbed in the fizzy beverage before sitting back and deciding on what she wanted for lunch. The waitress then came back just a moment later and asked what they would like to order. A spicy chicken wrap please. She uttered gently before the attention was then turned on him and what he would order. He then asked her how her arm was which really surprised her and a small smile took over her features. Eh, Its fine. I look pretty stupid with a cast so I wish it would just heal already. She would have to have it on another six weeks which really did not excite her since she could already feel the muscles in her arm starting to shrink since they were not getting used anymore. She hoped that they would deem that she would be fine with an arm brace soon so that she could use it a little more. He told her that he knew that he told her that he was going to be avoiding her but he needed to talk to her first and she nodded. I understand. And to tell you the truth it’s nice. The food did not take long to arrive and soon they were then eating, when they finished she stood and paid her portion of the bill before she said her goodbyes and told him once again that she would go to see Ulrich as soon as she was done school for the day. The rest of the day was uneventful and she then slid into the drivers side of the car and drove in the direction of Ulrichs apartment. She stepped out of the car locking all the doors and climbing the sets of stairs and knocking on the door.

In a wayward way, he actually did not like the thought of them speaking to each other publicly, more so for her sake. As she had once told him, he was trouble and now he knew there were a lot of people that would be all over him speaking with the girl. For some reason, he was thinking it would be better for her since he doubted any of her friends approved of him. Plus, she needed a normal, social high school career- as close as she could get one, due to her transformation or whatever was going on. He could not decipher why, but he knew it was gonna be a lot more difficult to avoid the girl than he had originally planned on. However, this was not going to keep him from doing so. The reasons why he was staying away from her were a lot more important than that. He was pleased as she agreed to go visit the man after school which would help her quite a bit. Although Rylen had already been involuntarily signed up to be the guinea pig so Ulrich had requested his presence today. He had not been given much of a chance to object either, but he decided not to tell the girl this. Good. He mused after a minute. Glass was slid along the table out of habit as thought process evolved. Attention went to the waitress as he placed his order after Larae had finished. The smile that crossed her features was returned roughly with a small nod as she stated she wished her arm would just heal. That's understandable. It shouldn't take too long though... He uttered though was not entirely sure if her being a witch would affect the process or not. Though she was a lot more human than he was it seemed despite this and so it would probably be normal now, or at least until she had changed fully. His knowledge of witches was minimal and now he was a lot more curious about them since he had never interacted with one before really, but he had met her father once he recalled and that was it. Brow rose slighlty as she said something about them talking being nice, which he actually agreed with. He knew they could get along quite well, but he also knew that he was usually the one to ruin it in the end. Today he was not going to do that though. There had to be at least one twenty-four hour period where they were not wanting to claw each others eyes out. Their lunch was placed in front of them and he thanked the waitress quietly before she went on her way. He enjoyed his food and paid for himself as well but she was the first to leave. A few moments later he walked out and returned to the school to have the day drag on. The Ducati was parked in the small garage that came along with the apartment and he climbed the stairs up to their apartment. He was greeted by the elder and they discussed a small plan until a quiet knock was heard in the direction of the front door. Ashen depths were rolled as Rylen went to where he was told to go. Hood was pulled over his head, shadowing his features purposely. He could not quite grasp why he had to risk getting his ass killed just for Ulrich's studies. Hiding behind the furniture, he waited while the girl was let in and started walking past where he was. Springing from his hiding place, he grabbed the girl in a tight hold, one hand closing over her mouth to keep her from screaming. 'Ello puppet. Low lyrics hissed into her ear, keeping one eye on the elder that was now facing the girl to see how she was going to defend herself. Rylen of course was not thrilled with his own odds seeing as she had already tried to cremate him the night before. And sadly, he was aware that this little "attack" was only the beginning of his use for "research" purposes with the girl. He did not mind too much though, since it would be a form of entertainment for himself as well.
