Wind whipped through the brittle branches of dead trees, a constant snapping sound being heard as the weak twigs went flying through the gusts. Lightening struck through the ominous gray clouds periodically. Vision caught the sight of the looming figure in the distance and an evil smile adorned tissues as the scheme was put together in an incident. Long strides swept the male forth at once, closing the distance to the unknown victim who would be damned soon enough... Snooze button upon the alarm was hit several times at its incessant loud chiming though it only was silenced for a minute until the off button was ultimately switched. Figure sat up in the bed with a grumble, yawn parting jaws in an involuntary action. Hand ran along the dark scars that would forever be adorned upon the male's backside, a groan coming once more at the horrid memory. Grimacing until his mind cleared, the lad stepped out of the bed to walk to the small bathroom. Teeth were brushed agitatedly before continuing to do his morning routine. A shower had been taken the night previous although he did not mind being a few more minutes late. High school had not been his choice but his elder roommate whom he considered family since they had more history together than anyone. And the fact that neither were mortals contributed to that as well.Ulrich was snoring loudly, even from a room away and ecru eyes rolled with a snort. Shower was relatively quick, not bothering to dry his cropped brown locks since they did not take long as it was. Grey t-shirt was pulled over muscular frame, a pair of dark blue jeans being pulled on over the pair of fresh boxers. The male grabbed for the comfortable black leather jacket without a second though and chucked a pair of dirty socks at his sleeping roommate before disappearing out the door. Helmet was adjusted over his cranium as he strode into view of the Ducati, law was the only reason why he ever wore the thing. The bike came rumbling to life and the throttle was revved after he sat upon the leather seat. Adjusting the kickstand, he then pulled the bike into the direction of the road and hit the gas like crazy to get it going before adjusting his speed to keep the cops at bay. Police were not high on his approval list, not many people were in fact which was not much of a surprise to those who actually knew his personality. Street bike was pulled into an empty parking slot and shut off. Keys were twirled around the male's finger before shoving them into his pocket, partially glad no one was around to stare at him. Today he would have enough of that. The new kid was always the most interesting entertainment. Heading through the main doors, he changed path to what looked to be the main office once he considered the fact that he would need his schedule to attempt this whole fiasco. Damn Ulrich and his bets. There was a good chance that the older male was trying to just get him out of his hair for some of the time. The younger male had been too sure of his win so had agreed to the bet without a second thought, the one time he lost in their poker games being now.In the end he did not really have to go through with the entire thing, yet there was a part of him that desired to. Something indescribable was pulling him closer to the population of mortals. Something he yearned to figure out and seize. A lady that appeared to be in her fifties sat at a computer and printed out the list of his classes with a pathetically faked smile but he gave a small one back before taking the sheet of paper and generic agenda. Barely glancing over the numbers on the paper, he was semi-alarmed at the ringing of a bell. So much for first period although he was in no mood for running around at someone's commands in the gymnasium. A trio of girls giggled and waved to the lad as he started down a hallway, wink returned with a quiet chuckle. He did not need to even think about registering the thoughts in their minds since it seemed rather obvious. Many questioning stares landed upon him but he was quite used to the feeling as he shouldered his way down to the room he had been assigned to. Dark depths analyzed the room within seconds, scanning through the unknown faces and hearing the voices distinctly within his eardrums despite the fact no one was talking directly to him. Book was dropped upon the only open table and the male leaned back against the plastic chair with a smug grin as the bell rang. What looked to be the teacher stood forth at the chalk board- weren't those outdated? Ah hell, as if Rylen would know. He had never stepped foot into a school in his entire life. The teacher stood at the board trying to capture the student's attention which was a worthless attempt as they were all obviously preoccupied. Finally, the whistle blew which caught the lad's attention as he had let his eye lids shut in attempt to rest since the amount of sleep he had actually received had been limited. Normally such things did not apply to immortals, yet he had actually adapted to sleeping somehow as had his companion so it was not that strange apparently. Coach Derick was what the teacher wanted to be referred to and he was drowning on and on about something involving the subject. Mind was allowed elsewhere, trying to key into whoever's thoughts the immortal could. He never said him going to school involved him actually really participating and taking part in the work along with it. There was a good chance he would not last the entire year, seeing as it was an experiment. Plus, the town was filled with senior dropouts as it was so no body would blink an eye at his sudden disappearance from school.Already, he had everything entirely planned out. [/size]

She was nearly positive that she had just layed down to bed, it felt as though it had not been more then five minutes and yet the shrill chirp of the alarm was unmistakeable and already arose a grumpy instinct in her. Entire chassis was layered in a cold sweat from a presumably horrific dream though memories faded and she could not recall the exact events, it seemed to be a common occurance though. Blankets were rumpled and wrapped tightly around her neck, tight enough she could picture if she was a cartoon character that her eyes would be bugged out of her head, this small visual brought a small smile to delicate rose tissues though and she forced herself to see the humour in this as hand was brought down rather harshly on the large round button on the top of the black alarm clock. Groggy yawn parted kissers and arms were stretched above her head hearing her back pop several times from the release of overused tissue that finally had gotten to rest overnight. She had been up late the night before beneath the large car that sat in her parents garage. Many times she had willed herself to not use magic to just force the car parts back into place, that would be the easy way though and she was known for her perserverance and if this was something that she wanted to be good at she would have to play on level playing grounds and not use her gift to accelerate rapidly. The prospect of finally driving the car was the only thing that caused feet to hit the ground lightly muffled by the carpet of the tiny apartment. The room in which she lived was small enough she was sure that if she tried she could touch all four walls from where her bed was positioned in the room. Though she spent less then 8 hours in the room everyday so it was acceptable and it would not be allowed to bother her, all of this was nothing more than temporary. Hair was still slightly damp from her shower the night before, a hassle of having long hair, though she would not have it any other way. She did not involve herself in the stereotypical events that girls found to be amusing so therefore she would have to savour the small bits of things that signalled her feminine side. She was neither a prissy girl nor a tomboy she fell into a neutral inbetween. Changing into a nice pair of jeans and shirt she jogged down the stairs, she knew that she was alone in the house since the rest of the occupants would be long gone to work. Grabbing a bowl of yogurt and toast she snatched her backpack and keys from the end of the counter. The trek across the apartments hallways and down the elevator into the large underground garage was long enough she would be finished her breakfast. Red tinted locks fell in loose and effortless waves around her shoulders. White hoody placed over her shirt to adorn slender frame. She had been right when she knew she would be finished her food by the time she reached the car. She had not passed a single soul in the trek either which was a bonus. She pulled the keys from her pocket and unlocked the door to the sleek Mustang. It was not just any mustang either. A 1969 Boss 429, which were a rare item nowadays. A fierce looking muscle car. She had first fallen in love with it when she was 15 when she had seen the car sitting under the tarp at an old mans house and he explained to her that it had not run in over 15 years, that did not deter her though. He had pitied her and sold her the car cheap and since then she had been working part time to piece the car back together until it was restored to its former glory, all the while her father had been helping her, spluring by buying half of all the parts that she needed. That was until one day last year where he simply had disappeared. Her mother had been too distraught to ask any questions though she wished to know what had happened but there was no way to reach him, his cell phone having been redirected. She knew he was not dead though. Just had moved on to bigger and better things she assumed. After all who would want to be stuck in a life in which she was. The deep rumble of the car turned her thoughts away from this though and back onto the car which sounded fantastic, who needed help to get to this point?! Gas pedal was eased to the floor where the ferocious noise echoed through the parkade before a small smile of victory was uttered and the car was driven towards the street. She was well aware that she might be late but that did not matter since her first class was History and she knew that the teacher loved her and would believe whatever excuse was uttered for that day. Sliding into the parking spot a motorcyle she had never seen before was in front of her and took the spot that she dubbed hers at the beginning of her highschool years though she would let it slide for today since she was a in such a fabulous mood. She stepped out of the car grabbing her backpack and locking the doors before heading up the walkway. First period flew by and soon she was getting ready for health class. She ended up getting distracted talking though and arriving there on the later side taking the only left seat beside a guy she had never met.

If you've ever wanted a superpower and get the chance, never go for the ability to read people's minds. Once you key into someone's thoughts, it's not the easiest thing to undo. On a normal day, the immortal did not bother to listen for the petty thoughts going on in a human's simplistic head. There was no use, unless of course it involved a game of poker. Then it set him up for either keeping or winning his money rather than risking it all for nothing. Of course, this did not go over well with his roommate so it was not a constant occurrence in the elder's presence. Needless to say, a bit of gambling as well as a fair share of working had earned him the keys to the Ducati; something that he had much pride into. Trying to listen to his new classmate's minds was now a horrid idea since his head was now like some fuzzy radio mixed between a dozen different channels it seemed. Soon enough he was able to focus the power on strictly a group of students sitting in the desk before him, though it did not take long for their shallow beliefs to bore him. Something along the lines of waiting for Johnny to ask Kimberly to prom or the like. Meaningless bull shit in which the drake did not give a rat's ass about. The teacher was grumbling silently about not being paid enough to deal with this crap, which to Rylen was already understandable. Brown hued pools glazed over as focus was placed directly on a wall, trying to shut the foreign voices from inside his head. With a breath of relief after he had shut everyone else out, figure soon became rigid as some strange rush of strange energy came near. What the hell was up with that? Probably nothing, just frustration or something. Soon enough, throbbing headache came to the male who instantly massaged his temples briefly before giving up on it. School was definitely nauseating and not his forte even though he had not even started a single class. Suddenly, interest was sparked by a girl who sat in the unoccupied seat next to him. Hm, probably should have done the footrest/ reserved for my imaginary friend stunt. Next time, if he were to last that long. Frame leaned forward in the seat to rest both arms across the table surface, arrogant gleam in the angel's eye as he looked over his new neighbor. Peculiar, that's all he could come up with description as far as her expressions gave off. Once the class finally came to order the teacher stated he was passing around a sheet in which needed to be filled out for their current seating arrangement, of course being about as permanent he could handle. Rylen was not too sure of the girl besides him, she had somehow managed to give him a headache without speaking. Even in the back of his mind, he knew it was not her fault but she was just who he currently felt like blaming. Pencil scrawled through the box that resembled his current seat, although he felt as if the action would be unnecessary for him. There was no reason to stick around here and find "friends" since it would only be a matter of months until the immortals had to leave again. Gaze was fixed on the paper as it was passed to the girl next to him, waiting to read the letters that her own handwriting depicted. He found the name to be slightly different as his was, but he'd kept the same name once he'd returned to the current planet. Lips curved into a crafty smirk before reclining back in the plastic chair as the paper was passed on. Attention shifted temporarily to the teacher as he stood at the front of the chalkboard, rambling on and on about their assignment for the day. Due to the fact that it was the beginning of a new semester, it was completely irrelevant to the class course itself. He said something about the class being influenced by quite a bit of partner work, naturally being those who sat next to you. The assignment gave Rylen the perfect excuse to get to know his new partner, and he was going to take it anyhow. The requirement was to get at least ten facts about the person seated at your right, of course their name simply did not count as one. Plain black notebook was opened to the first page, pencil sketching out numbers in quick strokes. Let's see... Dark gaze quickly glanced over the girl once more. Your the type of girl no one bothers to mess with because you like to handle things independently, I presume? You like things your way. Thus making you stubborn. Stubborn was what he wrote next to the number one spot, independent following by number two. Pencil tapped against the desk a few more times until he came up with his next assumption. You're a native to this town and will probably be one of the few who actually travel elsewhere for extended periods of time. He summarized that point, next writing something about shopping not being her hobby of choice. There's more to you than what the surface deciphers. You don't allow people to see you for who you truly are. In reality, the thought made him want to possibly vomit, but it was normal for a lot of teenagers it appeared. They clearly had no idea of what it was like to have true secrets. Their version of "life threatening" secrets involved that their hair wasn't natural or that they had a crush on someone who was already dating someone else. From the male's point of view, "pathetic" summarized high school on his first day- well first hour actually. Five more facts were written on the paper, quietly snickering as he finished writing the last words. Girl you can make me suffer, do whatever, 'Cuz I know you're one of a kind. Sitting back, he left the notebook in her clear view, quite amused with himself for the time being. Please inform me if I missed anything. I'd be happy to add some more content to this list. Coy smile adorned features before turning to the next page and writing several facts about himself to her benefit. A separate piece of paper was torn and offered to her, several digits written clearly across it. And of course, I'd be more than willing to give you more than ten facts about myself.

Although the bell had not sounded that indicated that everyone should be in the class she was still shot a dirty look from the teacher that had been in midsentence when she slipped through the door and took her seat. She ignored it though and continued on her way, careful not to scrape the chair loudly across the ground before sitting. The boy beside her looked suspiciously unfamiliar and she immediately set to work sizing him up. He looked to her instantly as she sat down with a devilish grin that caused her insides to roll, she knew that she should have chosen the desk at the back with the fat and stinky kid, this guy she was now sitting with she knew was going to be a problem. The strange aura that was engulfing her made her feel uneasy as she shifted in the uncomfortable plastic chair. She took a deep inhale to calm her nerves enough to be able to appear relaxed. A non challant glance washed over him before then turning to the teacher although she had no interest in what was going on. She heard that the teacher was making introductions of the new students that had joined the class, a nerdy looking girl that was sitting in the front desk, a guy in the back that looked as though he was up to no good and the guy beside her, who did not even seem to acknowledge that his name had been mentioned by the teacher. He rested his forearms on the table that they shared and she could not help but think that he was invading her space a little since she had to look over him to look to the front of the room at the teacher. There was a sheet that as being passed around for all of them to fill out and she wished that she had chosen a different spot since it seemed that she was not going to be able to change now. She even debated telling the teacher that she would not be able to see the board from where she was at and that she was going to need to change spots though she did not want to get off on the wrong foot if this guy turned out to be the nicest and best partner around, somehow she really doubted that though. Especially since a lot of the time her feelings about people were right and she was getting a horrible feeling about this man. Neat handwriting with elegant swoops took up the box beside where he had filled in a blue pen before then shifting around in her seat to be facing the opposite way and passing it to the table behind them to continue its being passed around the room. A small almost inaudible sigh was uttered when she heard what their first assignment was going to be though she knew that she better get a good impression on the teacher since she knew her future would eventually rely on it. He thought he was going to be witty by then looking her over and writing down his observations, telling her that she looked as though she was stubborn and liked things to be her own way, which was true though she was not going to admit it, she was a little bit of a perfectionist as well since you needed to be when you worked on cars. He also stated that no body bothers to mess with her and a small smirk crossed features. Nobody that is smart at least. She stated with an amused expression. He then continued on saying that she was a native to this town and would be the type to travel to somewhere far away and she merely shrugged. He also wrote down that shopping was not a choice of something fun for her, which was not true although she might not be a girly girl that would spend every spare moment at the mall picking out outfits and spending a shit load of money she did enjoy shopping when she had the time. Although she was not a girly girl also she dressed well in a flattering pair of jeans and shirt with a green Volcom hoody over top with her hair down and around her shoulders, she wore the faintest tinge of makeup that accented exotically coloured green eyes that contrasted against faint reddish coloured hair. Brow raised when he stated that she was not as the eye appeared and there was more to her then most people would guess. She shook her head. Nope, there you are wrong, nothing but a plain teenage girl here. She said before then turning back to her own sheet of paper that had been pulled out of her binder and instead of numbers ten dots were made for a point getting it ready to write down the facts about him so that she would not look like a fool in front of the rest of the class. Here let me see. She said then grabbed the sheet from his desk, arm was propped over top of it before her own paper that was supposed to be about him was handed to im to fill out. She spoke as she wrote a couple facts that would at least appease their teacher. As for you, let me guess, you are different from everyone else as well, unique, don't seem to fit in, you are new here, but you move around a lot. Let's just say she had a knack about guessing things about people. She passed the paper back to him with added facts in neat scroll. Owns a 1969 Boss Mustang, is an only child and has a birthday on February 14th She really hoped that he was going to be nice and write legit facts on the sheet. It was then that she noticed that he had written several facts about himself though he also passed her a seperate sheet that had digits written on it. Already a coy smirk took over features though her plan would not be put into place until later. When the teacher asked her for the facts about Rylen she stated what he had written on the sheet of paper before then sitting quiet for the rest of class as it passed slowly before the bell rang. As one of the nerdy girls stood from the back of the class she made an effort to make sure he was watching as she crossed the classroom to the girl to pass the paper with his phone number on it. Rylen asked me if I would give this to you. She stated managing a straight face before then turning away and when she caught his eye winking at him before stepping in the direction of the door. The next class for her passed easily then it was time for the assembly that they had every first day that they returned to school and yet again she found herself sitting beside the new guy, turns out that one of her friends had a 'cool new friend' that he wanted to introduce to her, of course out of all the new kids it had to be Rylen.

Nervous tension ran through the air like static, but it was not radiating from the over confident male. Initially he did notice the girl's way of moving uncomfortably in the seat but really did not pay attention to it as he continued to look her over with brief interest. He knew he would much rather have her as a partner in comparison to the nerdy type girls but now he might actually have to do something. Rylen was not at all an idiot, just a bit lazy. Plus, he was not going to regret glancing over at the girl sitting beside him which was always a bonus. Grey eyes were rolled at the explanation of the first assignment but he knew all too well what fun he could have with such a thing. Therefore he was not at all afraid to write several generalizations down on the paper, whether or not she agreed to them. He instantly noticed that she really did not admit to his accusations of her being stubborn were false which silently amused him for some odd reason. Brow raised as she infered that nobody who was smart messed with her, little did she know that Rylen was going to make sure he was an exception to that rule. Partial chuckle sounded from him with a shake of his head as well. If anything, this class would provide him with entertainment if he did plan on staying at the school. Gaze narrowed slightly in thought as she stated herself to be perfectly ordinary. Uh huh.... He mumbled and continued focusing on the paper. For some reason, he thought that she was different, but perhaps that's just because she had caught his attention when everyone else had failed to do so. The sheet of paper was allowed to slide from beneath his finger tips as she took it and wrote down legit facts on it. Now he decided to play nice and write as they had been assigned to do. Born in November, adopted, has lived in ten different states, owner of a Ducati ST4. He was one of those who preferred not to share his personal life with practically everyone. Very few people knew anything important about him. He didn't take note of his actual birthdate anymore, it changed practically every year since it was of unimportance. Truly, he was not adopted but it technically worked since he had no blood "family". There were a few more unimportant tid bits added as well just since Larae seemed adamant about behaving well for the teacher. This class was definitely not going to be a free ride for him now. Number was passed to her mischeviously, more so to get a reaction out of her. Eyes glanced over the miscellaneous things in which the girl had written, quickly becoming interested at the mention of a specific car. That would be kept in mind since he doubted there were multiple of those in the student parking lot. In his mind, he'd struck a gold mind whereas his new partner was not near as lucky. When it was his turn to introduce his partner, facts were stated in a monotone voice. At the mention of the car, it did not take long for a few more guys to start eying her with interest. Not his problem. Confused mask overtook the immortal's expression as the girl sauntered out of her way to approach a nerdy girl and then hand the paper to her. Aw, that was an old trick and expression was kept entirely cool besides a nod towards both girls upon exiting out the door. He searched the hall ways for the familiar green eyed face but had no such luck. There was plenty he wanted to speak with her about. The students were ushered to an annual assembly but he took this as a useful chance to temporarily escape to the parking lot. Depths originally sighted the Ducate but quickly swept to the car next to it. So she was stating the truth. Perfect oppurtunity. The hood of the car was popped up for a few moments as he glanced over the engine before laying eyes on what he was looking for. The fuse box was discovered and the starter relay removed as well as stuffed in his pocket. Smirk crossed his kissers which was quickly replaced as he slipped back inside and into the gym unnoticed. Spot was found next to Larae as well as a guy he'd spoken with earlier. And so we meet again. He stated levely. I would like to thank you, for giving my number out. I'm sure she would be more than happy to help me with my homework if you are unwilling to do so. I did not realize you were one to judge. Forgot to add that to the list. Focus was turned to the assembly but he was not really paying attention to that either. So far, the school day was giving him mixed emotions and he actually was lookinf forward to work that afternoon.

He looked to be the type that would get with a partner so that they would be doing all the work and he would be doing none, something that she would not allow to happen, she did not have a problem admitting to the teacher that he was not doing the work that was to be expected and informing her that things had been all to do with her if it came down to it, the cocky boy was not getting a free ride through the class through her that was for sure, if she had to work at it and struggle then he would have to do the same. Perhaps if it had been anyone else in the class she would not have been like this though he rubbed her the wrong way already and she had taken an instant dislike to him. Whether it was the way that he thought that he knew everything about her without even uttering a question her way or the cocky manner in which he had observed her when she sat down she was not too sure though she knew that he would not end up being her next best friend. When she had told him that no one that was smart messed with her she had meant it as a warning though spoken to him it was nothing but a joke that even prodded a chuckle from him and with that he recieved a large glare. He did not seem to believe her either when she told him that she was nothing but normal and this sort of suspicious was what made her slightly queasy since she had never met another that was gifted in the same or rather different way then her and she always wondered if she would have been able to tell them apart, she had learnt that her father had been a witch or rather warlock though he had not gotten the time to explain much to her before he had died since she had not really developed many of her powers until she was a little older and with only one parent there was a likelihood that she would have been nothing but a normal child. When it came time to read the things out to the class she instantly decided that it had been a big mistake writing her car down on the list since she was now getting eyed by several different guys of the class that she knew she might have to deal with on a later basis, though soon it was over and the attention was on her as she spoke clearly and uttered the facts that he had given her before the bell rang and they were on their way out of the class and she handed his number to the nerdy girl at the back of the class. For the time between the class and the assembly she went to her locker and put her books away knowing it would only be half a day since the assembly would happen and then they would be dismissed, it was just the way things worked on the first day of school. When the bell rang she walked in the well memorized direction of the gymnasium and instantly found one of her friends that seemed to be plagued with the guy that she had met in her first class and a small sigh was uttered. The level tone of his voice made her skin crawl before he then launched into thanking her sarcastically for giving his number out to the nerdy girl and stating that she would be more then happy to help him with his homework and accusing her of judging him though she knew by the smirk that had been plastered to his face when she was given the number that he was lying right now and it did not make her feel guilty. I am sure her help would be a lot more useful then mine in regards to your homework. She uttered before then turning back to the assembly, it did not take long for her to be bored and stareing out into the distance, finally when it was over she stood from the bench, she did not need to stop of her locker since she did not have any homework and instead pulled the keys out of her pockets before turning to the two guys. Well it was a pleasure meeting you Rylen and I will see you later. She informed them before walking out the door to where the car was parked, the doors being unlocked and instantly keys were pressed into the ignition and turned and nothing happened, she was shocked since it had been so well maintained, she tried again and still nothing, she was starting to stress as she popped the hood to discover the missing part and a low growl of frustration was emitted.

Having existed for a few hundred years had not made the male stupid, even in the beginning he had been referred to as clever and was a quick learner. Now, he had forgotten many things, yet still retained a majority of the knowledge from less recent years. Most things could be recalled to memory quite easily if something evoked them. So therefore he was not entirely dependent on anyone else for knowledge, it just depended upon whether or not he was feeling lazy. Already, he was mostly certain that Larae considered him to be one of the types to skate along through someone else's work efforts. This was something he could surprise her with maybe, or maybe not. Not that he cared to impress her, currently he was enjoying himself just by getting reactions out of her. The only problem was that soon she might start ignoring him completely, which might have the effect of causing him to go somewhat insane. However, there were ways he was sure he could use to get her attention if necessary. Again, this all depended on whether or not he decided to stay and play along with this whole high school process. Chuckle had already echoed through his chords by the time the glare that was supposed to silence him was shot in his direction. Smug smile tugged at the corner of his mouth opposite of her vision and at last he was quiet. He was all too well aware that she was stating her own version of the truth but the fact still amused him. It was very obvious that she knew how to handle herself around people, just something about what he had picked up off of her personality even in the short time since he'd basically known her name without her being the one to speak it. As he came across the fact about her car, he almost said something about it not being a good idea although it was very doubtful that his advice would ever be considered in her world. Plus it was not his problem either. Maybe she was one of those girls who secretly thrived on attention and what not. Something about her made her appear slightly uneasy in his eyes as he had said something about her being different; yet she had no trouble denying it. It was her body language that contradicted the reply. He had no idea why she was reacting this way, he was simply saying so because of her personality not some way to offend her. Then again, perhaps she was a bit loony or had strange history or the like. None of this information was his to find out currently. Her voice brought him out of his own thoughts, only she was stating the assignment to the class and the bell rang shortly after. Expression was blank as she strode forth and gave the number to the geeky looking girl and secretly he was personally a bit impressed by her actions. At least now he knew second period would be one thing to look forward to. Once the students were summoned to the assembly, he took the perfect opportunity to slip out unnoticed and find her car before popping the hood to dismantle the specific part so the engine would not make a full revolution. In a few moments he was back in the gym and sitting beside some guy who decided to turn him into a tag along. Thankfully it was not someone who annoyed the crap out of Rylen and when the conversation turned and a certain name was mentioned he decided to be a little more tolerant of the teen. Sarcastic words were spoken near the girl's ear yet he knew they would not fool her and he had no interest in any of the statements he told her. Arms folded across the male's chest as he leaned against the wall since they were seated among the top row, dull gaze eying the principal as he went over some mundane speech that probably stayed the same every year. Eyes had drawn to a close nearly by the time they were at last released, nonchalant look meeting the face of Larae as she said something about them meeting being a pleasure which he knew was for show and complete bull shit and then about seeing him later. Meaning in second period the following day, if he showed up. Right now he wanted to go back to sleep but it was not an option seeing as he was required to show up at work directly after this basically. Hand skimmed over the pocket of his jeans as he rose from the uncomfortable seat and he remembered what he had done which he did not want to miss her response to. However expression was rather impassive as he strode out to the parking lot with his backpack slung over a single shoulder. Lengthy strides hauled his figure to the familiar blue street bike, look of pride overtaking features before partially leaning against the motorcycle. It did not take long for the girl to look under the hood which them made him realize that she probably knew something about cars instead of looking dumbfounded and playing with the ignition. Brow arched in interest as he grabbed the helmet and was about to slip it over his head but paused. Small part was tossed in her direction yet no smile overcame his kissers. I would assume you know where it goes. And by the way, its in need of an oil change. Monotone lyrics sounded to the girl before slipping the helmet on his head and turning on the bike which was eased out of the parking spot until he took off down the road. With a quick stop at home, the drake changed into a rougher pair of jeans and stained muscle shirt followed by a sweatshirt for work at the shop. Ducati was parked behind the back and a few eye rolls were shot in his direction to acknowledge his presence as he clocked in the time sheet. Steve, the owner of the mechanic shop, punched his shoulder as he walked by. Rylen was by far the youngest but he shouldered his way around through all the crap they gave him. An older camero was his current project for now, more specifically the transmission of it as well as various other things that the owner had managed to basically deteriorate including the exterior as well. The owner had basically given up hope on it all together yet had brought it in as a last resort. Most of the workers stated it was not worth fixing or would never be completely restored which got Rylen wanting to prove otherwise. They had a bet going on it now and if he went over well, he'd win the bet as well as be paid by the owner. So now he was quite determined to undertake the project only now was his first actual day of starting to recover it.

She could not wait to get out of the class and be released to the hallway where she would not feel suffocated by the male that sat in her company, though she was much too stubborn to go up to the teacher and admit defeat and ask for a new seat and she was sure that without a good reason her wish would not even be granted. Hey teacher can I have a new seat the guy beside me is giving me a headache and annoying me without even speaking... Ha. She already regretted telling the entire class about her car knowing that it was not a good move if someone decided to take something out on her. Though there was not enough time to think about that as the bell rang and she was on her feet and headed towards the door where she was met by the group of friends that she had accumulated in her first year of high school, they were the kinds of friends that you would hang out with in school and for school functions and not invite over during the break so she had not seen them for awhile. She did not risk getting close to anyone since she turned 13 and found out about her lineage. At first she had thought that she would be able to just ignore it and deal with it later so for the first two years she virtually ignored the small indications of what she was and did not ask her father anything about it, then when she was 15 that the year that her father had left her so she had not gotten the chance to ask him anything. All that she knew had been found out on the internet. She was a little distracted as the girls shrill voice then broke her out of the thoughts and a harsh shove reached her shoulder. They of course were talking about the new guy and raving over the fact that they had met them in their first classes and eyes were rolled. He seems kind of like a jerk to me. She uttered before something crossed her mind. She remembered reading somewhere on the internet that her species was very attuned to their own kind and tended to be able to pick up on the aura of others that were like her, at the time she thought that was just bogus as many things were on the internet was this the reason that she felt off in his presence almost as if they were competing? Did he realize this as well or was she just crazy? Wake up, Rae, what the hell is wrong with you? The other girl uttered as she seemed to be off in her own little world. After she then was prodded into speaking and adding to the conversation they were then headed to the assembly and she excused herself when they went to their lockers saying that she needed to go to her car to put something away though really it was only to get a breather from them and gather her thoughts. When she reached the gym and was in such a close proximity to the man again and she was forced to sit there with a pounding head ache that caused her to rub her temples and half zoned out uttering that it was pleasure to meet him before then heading to the parking lot with the rush of the crowd not waiting until it was less busy. A low growl was emitted when she realized that the car was not going to start and with a frustrated sigh she then stepped out of the car to pop the hood and hear the approach of a motorcycle behind her swinging to face where it came from just to catch the part that was flying at her, with reflexes much too fast, she regretted it though she played innocent like it never happened. A death glare was apparent in emerald coloured eyes. Ever touch my car again and you will be looking for pieces of your motorcycle for months. But by the time that she had finished her threat he was already gone and she was left glaring after him. She fiddled with the car and replaced the part that had been missing before stepping into the drivers side and starting the ignition. Turning out of the parking lot she headed in the direction of where she lived. No work had been scheduled for her today so therefore she would have the day to herself. She parked in the underground garage and stepped out from the car. The rest of the day was spent doing random errands until she went to bed, awaking much too early for her liking.

As he sat near to the particular girl once again, the strange incessant pounding came to his head. It was more than a head ache and nearly impossible to ignore.Only once really did he cast a glance in her direction with narrowed eyes to see that she appeared to be having a similar problem of some sort. What the hell was up with this? Never before had he had something like this happen, even in the presence of the immortal he lived with. Perhaps it was because they were of the same species or the like, but Rylen found it hard to believe. Maybe he was just imagining things or such. Still it was making the lad quite irritable now and he was trying to think of anything that would rid the throbbing inside his head. The ramblings of the principle was not helping either especially since the sound system was quite dated and scratchy. Since the whole deal had gotten him into a foul mood, he no longer wished to play out the entire joke he had planned out and tossed the small piece to the girl instead. There was no surprise that came from him as she caught the object with abnormal reflexes and he did not even consider it. He heard the growl prior to throwing the part to its original owner yet did not let the amused expression take over his features. Now his head ache had returned and he most certainly did not want to waste his time around this girl who he knew he would go round and round with since their personalities already clashed. The threat was heard after he was sitting on the motorcycle with the helmet on and all it got as a response was a brief head shake. No longer was the male in the mood to deal with her and play the little game he enjoyed and he actually was not a fan of being to work late. Part of him saw her threat as a challenge yet he was not going to push it since he knew there was a fair amount of truth to the words. In all honesty, he had a lot of better things to do than mess with that particular girl and her car. Now he did not plan on wasting his time with her. The hours spent at the garage swept by and yet he was still unhappy with the accomplishments of the camaro. Several missed calls from a strange number appeared on his phone screen as well as a string of texts, causing swear words to fly out under his breath. There would be revenge on that cunning girl, he swore to it. He merely grunted at his roommate's comments about school and took a shower before collapsing into the messy bed. Constant ringing from the alarm instantly caused him to be in a sour mood, contemplating skipping permanently but stopping himself. Instead he got himself ready and then turned to the older male who was actually awake this morning. Questions were asked quite quickly and the elder answered those of which he knew, which were the smaller percent of them combined. However, it did inform Rylen of several things and now he had motives. There was something entirely different about Larae, despite her denial of it. First, he was going to make certain of it himself once more and then get her to admit to it as well. And then what? He did not really care. The plan itself may have been pointless but it would still give him new information that could provide useful. After arriving at school, the first hour entertained him seeing as they were playing dodge ball which he tended to be particularly good at. Soon it was time for second hour and he was amongst the last to walk through the doors of the health class with his backpack over one shoulder. Brow rose as the girl had come to sit beside him. Hmm so you did not transfer classes? I'm surprised. Eyebrows furrowed and expression grimaced slightly as soon the aching came back to his head. There was something more to her than everyone else saw he knew instantly. However, if he were the one to point this out to her again, she would then be led onto him so he was not going to bring up the subject again bluntly. He was going to have to be discreet. How are you on this fine day, partner? Word was spoken with definite emphasis however it was not sneered. Blank expression showed upon his facade with faux interest resting upon the teacher.

She had no idea what it would mean the strange aura that she was detecting from him with a combination of the impending feeling of doom as well as the headache, all she knew was that she needed to get out of there as soon as possible and she was ready to go home. She did not get her wish though since it would be impossible to sneak out of the assembly since they were all seated on the bleachers and it would make quite a racket if she were to stand up, where were the cool spell casting priveledges that a witch should have when you needed them? When finally it was over she said her goodbyes in a hasty though polite manner before being one of the first ones to climb down the bleachers and head in the direction of the front of the school and the parking lot. When she reached the lot and it was found out that the car was missing a vital part that could have only been extracted by a car expert her mind wandered to the boy that had been so obnoxious already and she had only known him for the day and it was confirmed when he rode up to her on his motorcycle to then throw the part in her direction and not even look as though he registered the threat that she spoke before then taking off out of the parking lot and onto the street, with an exasperate sigh she replaced the piece in her car before then closing the hood gently and settling into the drivers seat and she found that she was glad that the car now started with no hesitation and she was welcome to be on her way home, her patience was thin since the head ache she had acquired in the gym seemed to still be lingering and probing at different parts in her mind. Since she was not working for the day she made herself busy cleaning the house since she knew that her mother would never have time since she was working hard to support the two of them since her father had just up and left them. A lot of the time she would help out with the payments since she really did not need her job for anything but the occasional car part and it was nice to know that she was giving her mom a hand in the time that she needed it the most. She had just finished the dishes and was drying them and putting them away in the cupboards when her mother walked in with her favourite chinese food takeout and settled at the dinner table with the freshly cleaned dishes that were placed in front of them and they chattered about their day though Rae did not mention anything about the new boy that she had met and thought was so weird. She finished and after a workout in the gym downstairs in their building she was ready to go to bed. The next morning when she awoke she had a lot of time to get ready so she spent a little extra time on her appearance brushing rouge coloured locked until they fell in satiny waves at her shoulders with small pieces that were brightly sunkissed fell to frame exotic features. Emerald eyes were accented with black tinged mascara accenting heavy lashes around pools before a white hoody adorned frame and a dark pair of jeans as she walked down the hall to the car that waited for her in the parking lot. She fumbled with the muffin that she carried in one hand and the bag in the other as she reached the garage. When she arrived at school she was relieved not to see the boy so early in the day since she would at least have her first class in peace from him. Though that would not last into the second class which was the one that she had with him. She entered just as the tardy bell had rang fluid strides carry her to her seat beside him and charming smile was shot in his direction. Expression did not even flicker when the boy commented that she did not switch classes and that suprised him. He might have gotten under her skin the day before though she was not going to give him the satisfaction of that again. Why would I do that? She stated completely innocently. She had come to this class prepared, slipping a Tylenol at the end of the last class so the familiar throb in her head was lessened until it was quite comfortable and she relaxed in her chair legs stretched out from beneath the desk and crossed at the ankles. She was completely silent as she stared in the direction of the teacher until he spoke once again asking her how she was. I am fine, thank you. And yourself? With those hushed words the teacher then seemed to hear them and glared in her direction and her mouth closed to then sneak glances at the male before then turning back to the teacher. After their lecture a brochure on their next project that was of course partners was handed out to them.

Never in his....rebirth-perhaps that was the correct term?- had the male experienced the strange pounding in his head that seemed to revolve around the girl's presence. He tried to makes sense of it yet came up with practically nothing so therefore had to turn to the elder man for guidance on such a subject. The elder seemed a bit confused at first yet tried to explain it until figuring out what it may have been caused by. Rylen now was quite certain she was more than human. Yet she did not cause his instincts to react the way they did in the presence of a demon or such a creature similar. Still the idea of what strange blood that may have been rushing through her veins did everything to intrigue him further. Now he was going to be a bit more polite in means of the girl, although he was aware of habits that would never completely change. Despite the engine of his street bike, he recalled the warning that had been directed at him if he were to ever touch a specific Mustang again. Of course he was not completely ignorant of such a threat and actually parked the motorcycle in the parking lot adjacent to the school. He figured it was a bit of a way to show his respect of her retort somehow if she even paid attention. First hour of the day was relatively tolerable for the male, as he enjoyed the game the P.E. teacher had chosen for the day. All thoughts of the strange feeling around Larae had disappeared until he strode into the health room to find her seat empty. Interest soon sparked at this because he had originally sought her to be one of those that was always on time and rather OCD about it as well. She proved him wrong quickly as she strode through the door along with a seemingly cheerful smile in his direction. However, he did not return the expression in the same manner, but proceeded to furrow his brows momentarily. Yesterday she had come off as quite irritant with him and now she was acknowledging his presence and being courteous? This confused him quite easily. Still he had failed to figure out women in general when it came to their moods. He'd predicted that she'd be completely ignorant of his presence for the remainder of the year but she was smiling innocently and talking as though they had not gotten off as they had yesterday. False innocence laced through her words and he rolled his eyes, saying nothing in reply to that. The teacher had written something about a blood drive coming up and Rylen instantly knew he would not be attending school on that day. Needles still freaked him out and he could not exactly donate blood since he really did not have a blood type anymore. It was not easy to describe and he did not want to deal with everything going on that day. Attention briefly flickered from the teacher to the girl seated at his right to ask her the question that he had once figured would go unanswered. Small nod was his initial response to her reply, single brow raising subtly as the teacher glared in her direction. She did not appear to be too worried about such things seeing as he was aware of a pair of jade eyes directed at him quite frequently. Fine. He stated as well, gritting teeth as the head ache started to hit him full bore. There had to be something about it that could be done. With a quiet exasperate breath after the teacher had finished, hand reached forth for the brochure and accidentally brushed hers upon doing so. His entire body froze at the very brief touch and his features went blank for a short amount of time. The images that passed throughout his mind were a jumble of nonsense yet that did not seize the tremor that was sent along his spine. Was this supposed to be some sort of premonition? A vision that could interpret the future? He quickly composed his posture back to its original posture, but that did not stop the million thoughts whirling through his mind. Something about it was off. The images had been blurry, yet the screaming behind them was clearly evident as well as the familiar ear-splitting screech that only one creature could create.None of it seemed logical. Quiet cough was uttered into his hand before grabbing the booklet once more without contacting her in anyway. He flipped through the booklet without speaking for several moments before sliding it across to her side of the desk. This looks like oodles of fun. Eyes were rolled as the male muttered the comment. He really had not caught on to any of the details of what was contained in the packet since his mind had been swept elsewhere. Soon he calmed his nerves and told himself over and over that it was just a fluke thing that had happened. Grey toned eyes watched the girl's face intently as she read over the brochure. There was something about that strange vision that would not set his entire body at rest. And for some reason his own head ache had started to decrease which was nice at least.

The Tylenol seemed to do its job not only reducing the headache that came with the man’s company but also to clear her mind knowing that what would get to him the most would be her being insufferably tolerable. There would be no use to get irritated since it would only prolong the head ache and he seemed to be the kind of person that would feed on someone being angry with him. She was able to guess that he might suspect her as being something a little more than a human with the interesting glances that he sent her way though that only confirmed her beliefs that he was also something not normal. Being on time was something that she usually made sure to be but today had proved to be a strange day and so far had been throwing her off a little so when she entered the class as the late bell rang she made her way quickly to her seat. When she asked him how he was in response to the question that had been voiced in her direction he uttered that he was fine seemingly falling a little more silent with the glare that was sent their direction from the teacher. She knew that with the change in her mooods that she would remain such a mystery to the man and perhaps that would still his thinking about why he felt the way he did around her and maybe by the time he thought back to the head ache it would be gone and dismissed as nothing more than a migraine since it was easy to see how much he was suffering from what she had been at the same time yesterday. A bunch of papers were passed around the class and they were given the sheets in pairs, theirs were handed back from the chairs in front of them and they seemed to reach for them at the same time. She was not able to stop herself before their hands brushed when they seemed to come in contact a strange and almost zoned outlook washed over his face and consumed features as she was starting to worry about what had happened and ask him if he was alright he then turned back to normal and she turned away from him for a moment to hide the small reddish tinge that had rose in cheeks simply in embarrassment of touching his hand even though it had been accidental. She was not as bold as she made herself out to seem. He dismissed it all with a quiet cough that was uttered into his hand and with that gesture she then turned her attention back to him assuming that he wanted to say something about the upcoming project that they were going to have to do together. Out of all the partners that she could have gotten in the class of course she wound up with the only one that bothered her and she would just have to deal with it since right now anything that she could do such as ask the teacher if she would be able to move seats or get into a different class would be seen as a weakness and she would not allow her to show her vulnerable side. Not to a man that she felt slightly threatened by. He uttered that the project looked like oodles of fun and eyes were rolled slightly, it looked to be boring in nature though it looked to be something that would be able to be finished in one afternoon which to her was something that was important since she was the type of person that liked to put a large amount of time in at once instead of doing small amounts for the next little while. She did not speak as eyes scanned over the paper. When she looked back up she noticed a pair of steel grey eyes on her which she met for a moment before then looking forwards. I guess we should meet up to do the project are you busy this afternoon? She asked him and when he told her that he would meet her in the library after school she nodded, when the bell rang she then stood walking towards the door and to her next class. At lunch she took her car to a local café where she recently started frequenting to buy the homemade sandwiches there that were a little more appealing then the cafeteria food and she ate out on the bench wasting all the time of their lunch break. When she got back to school she was bombarded by the girls who sat outside asking where she had been and reminding her around the Senior dance that was coming up and she wished that she would be able to skip out on it though she knew that there was no way that any of the girls would allow for that to happen and she would be forced into a shopping trip with them probably within the next few days. She had to tell them no when they asked if she would be able to go afterschool today though and they made her promise that she would be able to go the day after to make sure that they were all able to get dresses in time. One of them pulled her aside after the cheery looking blonde girl that resembled a barbie named Tia. So I hear that you have class with that new guy Rylen? Do you think you could do me a favour? [/b] Brow was raised slightly as she listened to the girls request and sighed when the girl finished talking though she promised that she would deliver the request when she saw him later for the project that they were going to do in the library. When classes were over she remained in her shorts from gym class that had been her last class of the day and moved in the direction of the library, sitting at one of the large tables and waiting for Rylen to show up, she pulled out her binder and grabbed a couple books from the shelf before he sat across from her. How was the rest of your day? She asked quietly. Oh right I am supposed to ask you. My friend Tia, she is too much of a chicken to ask you herself but she wants to know if you have a date for the upcoming seniors dance, apparently I get to be the messenger.

Throughout the class, they of course were not the exception to be the only students having their own side conversations and if the duo behind them had not gasped so loudly, the odds of Larae being caught would have definitely decreased. Needless to say, the teacher's glare was all it had taken for the girl to silence herself and make their conversation more subtle and caused the drake to roll his eyes. So far she came off to him as dutiful when it came to those above her yet she had a feisty side when it came to defending herself. Her background intrigued him but he knew there was not a very likely chance of him ever discovering more about her then what he already knew. She was more than human and probably would remain a mystery to him and that was it. He did not need to get caught up nosing through someone's life especially when it could lead to discovering more of his own. Curiosity always had made a habit of coming back to bite him in the ass anyway on multiple occasions. At the strange pictures flashing before his mind, he desired more than anything for his posture and facial composure to stay normal since she would be able to pick up on things much easier than the other peers about the room. As he stared towards the wall, she looked elsewhere as well and he caught the faint sight of the color rising to her face. The behavior seemed unlikely from the preview of the girl he'd received the day prior but perhaps even she was not so strong on awkward subjects. However he quickly overlooked it seeing as the thoughts running through his mind were obnoxiously distracting. He could not stand the way his instincts were acting over something that was so unrealistic. It was like a nightmare and needed to be forgotten of. After finally reading the papers, he made the sarcastic comment while pushing them in her direction. Every part of his body was strained away from hers and he knew it probably looked obvious. Yet she wouldn't care because it was quite obvious that her own judgement of him was on one of the highest levels of disgust possible. He really had not thought over the paper when she brought up the idea of working on it after school that day. Of course on his day off, he was stuck doing some work with a girl who despised him practically. Alright. He stated in return with a small shrug, at least considering that the weather wasn't fantastic so there was nothing he was really going to miss out on besides cheating someone of their money in gambling. The bell rang a while later and he strode out of the classroom without casting any sort of look back in her direction. In no way outside of class was he bothering to be involved with her now, he would simply have to find someone else to torment with his games with. The remainder of the day went by slowly just because the teachers seemed to drone on and on about nothing and pile up useless assignments. Rylen had no such problem with them and finished the majority in class, with the exception of math which he had no intention of finishing. At last the final bell rang and he went to his locker to shove the books back and reluctantly grab for the back pack that was filled with his things. A piece of paper attached to the locker adjacent to his caught his eyes and he scanned over it before rolling his eyes. Dances, of course high school still had those silly things that were a waste of time. He was quite sure that the majority of the girls made a big deal out of nothing and he failed to think of why they would do so. Truly, he would never understand their antics. Later he arrived at the library and sat across from his health partner who was already putting herself to work it appeared. Surprise, surprise. Unbearable. What's the use of this shit anyway? Most of it doesn't appear in real life as it is. Shoulders shrugged and he shook his head before glancing across to the books she had pulled out for the project. They were supposed to write some research paper on a disease which he thought to be pointless once again since everyone knew that diseases were not fun and killed people basically. So why keep telling people of the horrible stuff that happened? They didn't get immunizations when they were younger, that was their fault. Brow arced as she said she had to ask him something and curiosity instantaneously peaked. Before the several words followed the name, he had an idea of what she was about to say. Crooked smile swept across features and a quiet chuckle rang out from him. Are you serious? He asked, expression going blank as he met her eyes. Clearly the idea seemed asinine to him but no one else could really understand why. Figuring that she was speaking the truth, he straightened himself out. I don't have a date, yet I was not even considering going.... He paused to consider this for a moment. Tell her I will think about it. Dances generally aren't my thing....and there is no guarantee that I will have it off from work, either. Even he, who could be a cocky asshole really was not into the idea of leading girls along. Despite his decision in the end, he was aware that both him and his roommate would get a good laugh out of the matter.

Long fiery tinted curls fell loose around her shoulders in an effortless manner that made it look as though she had spent hours primping and getting ready for school when in reality she had little more then rolled out of bed and run a brush through locks. Anyone that knew her would know this was the case. She might be a feisty tempered girl but when it came to authorities and teachers she knew that she wanted the marks to get herself into a good college and she tended to have respect for her elders. She knew that there was no way that she was going to be able to save up completely for a tuition and her mother certainly did not have anything set aside so she knew that she would need to achieve a scholarship or bursary of some sort. When their hands touched she knew that he noticed the small tinge of colour that rose in her cheeks but she then quickly looked away to make sure that he did not get the satisfaction of seeing this for too long from her. She was horribly embarrassed that she had allowed him to see the slightly vulnerable side of her that she usually kept so tucked away. When she asked him if he would be free to do the work that was required for the project that afternoon he agreed and she was glad that she was not going to be stuck doing it alone since she was the type that liked to get things starts and finished right away to make sure that her best effort went into it and the project was not being rushed in case something came up that would prevent her from finishing. She was a considerable amount more mature then the rest of the class it seemed in that respect, arranging time seemed to be her strong point considering how busy her life was and how she was able to juggle it to prioritize the things that remained to be the most important. She assumed that he would know to meet her in the library when classes were finished and she was on her feet the moment that the bell rang and striding towards the door, though despite her need to get out of the room it was not as though she looked as though she was rushing with movements that were fluid and graceful. She then made her way to the lunch room where she sat with the group that she managed to stick out of like a sore thumb. Already she had had a few invitations to the dance though none of them had caught too much of her interest and she was already being reprimanded by the girls for turning the guys down. The rest of the day passed easily and was uneventful before she was then set to meet with Rylen in the library, the plans for the dress shopping had changed and she would not be able to stay for too long in the library since the girls that had cheerleading practice had convinced her that it would be the wisest to go after school today to make sure that they were all able to get their first choices so they would be stopping by to get her when they were finished with their practice. She settled into one of the chairs at the back of the room with a book on a disease that she had barely even heard of and cringed upon reading the details of the symptoms and other things that were associated with it, she was taking notes and deep into her work when the male arrived and she barely even noticed that he was standing above her and about to take a seat. You are asking me as if I should know. She said with a small chuckle before then offering him one of the books that she had taken from the shelf to do notes on. She stayed silent for a moment while they worked until she then approached the subject of the dance and the girl that wanted to go with him. He did not blatantly reject her like she thought that he would. She nodded when she finished talking. I will let her know. She then continued on the work for another little while until she realized the time was getting close to the one that she would be fetched from the library and soon enough the blonde girl appeared at the door and entered and instantly the librarian shot her a glare as the girl babbled. Rae, it%u2019s time to go shopping! She announced before turning the corner and realizing that the girl was not alone and Rylen was sitting there with her. She then stood up from her seat and turned to the guy. I am sorry I have to go we will have to finish this another time. See you tomorrow. She told him before then turning with the girl to walk in the direction of the door. Way to tell me that he was there. She scolded before then seeming to forget it since they were going shopping and that was what was on her mind. They spent the next three hours in and out of malls and stores around the mall before they were all happy with the dresses that they found, of course she had been the first one to find a dress and she simply followed them around looking like a lost puppy. The next day was the day of the dance and she was already dreading it and dreading the fact that she had not even accepted one date and would be there alone now. The day at school passed quickly and soon it was time for them to get ready and she was at one of the girls houses changing into a startling turquioise cocktail dress an hair was half up and half down in loose waves, more makeup then normal adorned her features and accented deep emerald tinted eyes, she wore white flats that went well with the dress and then she was ready, they alll wanted to go in her car since it was a little more flashy then the common Civics that the girls seemed to have.

Of course many would think of him to be heartless in many situations but even he had a hard time saying no at times. The idea of the dance was still rather foreign to him and he was not quite sure what exactly to think of it. Yet he still was thinking of toying with the idea and he could always find a way out of it later. He was not surprised that the girl appeared to come off as a bit shocked at his reply because it did not seem stereotypical of a guy that could have the ego he tended to show. Gaze scanned over the book that was set in front of him but every so often wandered to the girl sitting next to him. The paper before him actually was filling up quite nicely and he figured it would be a piece of cake between the two of them. They worked in silence only to be later interrupted by some rambunctious girl still in her cheerleading uniform which caused an inquiring brow to arc in Larae's direction. She definitely did not come off as the type to be surrounded by cheerleaders to him but yet again he'd misjudged her apparently. Alright, see you later. He stated while gathering his own things as well before giving a slight wave as she started walking away. The other girl was not very good at mumbling because he was sure even the librarian had made out the words she'd stated. He paused quickly and got a blank expression over his face. Wait a minute. Was that the girl who he was supposed to go to the dance with? Maybe that was not such a grand idea anymore. Perhaps he needed to suddenly become deathly ill or something. No, he would deal with this regardless. He continued to gather the remainder of his things and then headed home, not at all surprised by the fact that his roommate was no where to be found. However, he would be speaking plenty to the elder later about the strange occurrence of the day. The male changed to clothes that were a bit more rugged looking and grabbed the leather jacket on his way to step outside the door. He took the short trip to the shadier looking building without even thinking twice and was roughly greeted by the large bouncer. Hello friend. He chuckled and received a grunt before being let inside the door. He quickly recognized the bellowing of his old friend and located him to be playing pool at the time being. Several gruff greetings rang out in different directions which he acknowledged with a nod while stepping over to the occupied pool table where Ulrich was setting up a ball to a corner pocket. We need to talk. He murmured seriously and the elder rolled his eyes before making the shot without watching it. Rylen noticed the odd way his friend was acting and knew he was playing drunk which was a good trick when it came to making bets. Everyone else considered you to be out of the game and didn't really care on what they were risking against you until they lost it. After the game had ended, he grabbed his old friend and walked along the alley way awhile before they were out of everyone's hearing distance. Gaze traveled to the ground as he kicked at some of the gravel there. Now his friend was staring at him completely sober and entirely confused. Have you ever had a vision? Or something like it? The immortal nodded and scratched his chin and quickly asked why. I'll tell you later if it's important. Have you heard of something like it coming true? This quickly arose a chuckle from the elder and Rylen became agitated. We may not be human, but we aren't psychics either. Rylen, don't let some little thing mess with your head. The drake nodded and paused before telling of his latest news. Second day and have a date for the dance without asking. Ulrich started chuckling once more at this. Borrow my car, and leave your bike. And enjoy yourself, just be careful. Eyes were rolled at the sarcastic statements and he finally nodded before dismissing his friend. A call to the mechanic shop's owner was made and he went back into the building to place a few bets and ended with winning the last fairly. Then it dawned upon him that he really did not have something that was exactly acceptable for the dance and now that he was actually going, that was due to change. However it would have to be taken care of the following day after school. Another morning took place where the male grumbled himself through getting ready and the day did not exactly drag on as he thought it might. He barely spoke to Larae, the main reason for doing so was to work on their project during class. Partially he wondered if maybe she was unhappy with him for actually saying yes to her friend's request and thought he was going to be an ass to her. Even Rylen knew when to behave himself and silently vowed he would be on good behavior for the night. After school he went into the first clothing store he found and browsed the men's department until finding a button up t-shirt and black slacks that would be appropriate for the dance. Needless to say, he wasn't the one who ended up paying for it thanks to his winnings of the previous night. Seeing as it did not take him much to get ready, he changed clothes roughly fifteen minutes prior to when the dance was supposed to begin. Hair was spiked in it's usual manner after changing into the new clothes which he had a hard time recognizing himself in the mirror since dressing like this had never been his thing. Key ring was caught as his friend tossed them in his direction with a whistle which caused the male to roll his eyes. He had not bothered to buy a different pair of shoes so he borrowed a nicer pair from his room mate before stepping out the door and in the direction of the Jeep Wrangler. He was aware that is was unusual for the guy to drive his date to the dance and everything but he still was not exactly sure who is date was. So he had practically agreed without even thinking about it. The time was a few minutes passed seven once he stepped inside the gym and was overcome by the music booming from the speakers as well as the various decorations hanging in every which direction. Attention quickly perked as some high pitched voice called out his name only to see the perky blond from earlier, now in a rather short pink dress bouncing her way over. So this was Theresa? Wait that wasn't the right name. Shit, he needed to remember this. Hey... He stated quietly and was soon relieved as one of her little groupies shouted out the name "Tia" in her direction. That was it. The girls all huddled together and asked him to snap a picture which he did. Grey eyes caught the sight of a face he swore he recognized but took a moment before really realizing the features belonged to his health partner. The expression cast upon her facade still did not seem utterly pleased and he still wondered why. Several other guys arrived later and he was drug out by Tia to go dancing which he did not fail miserably at. Yet he could not focus his attention solely on trying to enjoy himself after seeing the other girl look a bit out of it. A tap on his shoulder startled the male and instantly he paused to glance back to find a broad sized male with a narrow gaze in his direction followed by a chorus of giggles from Tia. Brow arched as he glanced over to the girl who he thought was his date but now seemed to be swooning over some football player. Can I cut in? A simple nod responded before stepping away and finding an easy relief from his original dance partner. After maneuvering through the mass of dancing bodies, he finally planted his eyesight on the girl in the teal dress. Hey. He uttered with a small smile. Would I get in trouble if I asked where your date was? Even he had the sense not to push the subject with any girl, let alone one that appeared to hate his guts from the get go.
